Almost a week has passed by since you last saw Rafe, still, he had found the way to make himself present throughout the days.
He texted you regularly, checking up on you; making questions like “How are you?”, “Have you eaten yet?”, “Where are you?” and his favorite one: “Who are you with?”
You would be lying if you said you didn’t find his interest sweet; most of the time matching his energy and taking as much interest for his daily life as he did for yours.
The texts were numerous but there were ones more memorable than others, such as the day you finally reunited the courage to ask for Topper.
You still remember his response: “I’m taking care of that, doll” You remember getting flustered by the nickname and almost throwing your phone out of the window.
“Y/N!” Your sister shouted as you continued to submerge yourself on your phone. “Topper hasn’t pressed charges yet…Jennifer told me.” Right, you remembered her mentioning it before. “I know…I think there’s a big chance he won’t” Your eyes left the screen to look excitedly at the brunette, not expecting the frown on her face.
“Pfft” She let out an incredulous sound. “That just means he’s planning something else…something worse than jail.” That took you by surprise, causing you to stand up and reach out for the younger girl. “Why would you think that?” Your face morphed into a worried one.
“You really think he’d let JJ alone out of the kindness of his heart…No Y/N! Kooks always get their way.” You bit your lower lip, holding yourself from revealing the real reason Topper wasn’t bothering the Pogues anymore.
“Let’s just wait for a few more days…There is no need to be paranoid!” You tried your best to sound comforting, either way, Kie sighed out in exasperation, stomping away and leaving you alone to sink in your own guilt.
(…)
“I’m thinking pastel pink…but, what do you think?” You tilted your head while staring at the nail polish container. When silence was all you received, you decided to gaze at the dark haired girl. “Jennie!” She finally looked away from her device. “Hmm?” Her tone confirmed she had no idea what you were talking about.
“You’ve been distracted all afternoon” You pouted while supporting your knees on her soft mattress. “I’m sorry! I’ve been texting with-” Her words were interrupted by the harsh sound of a car’s engine. You noticed her senses being alerted as she adopted an apologetic look. “Please, don’t get mad!”
“When have I ever gotten mad at you?” You questioned as knocks were heard on the ground floor. “Well, you now just might.” The smile following her sentence was awkward.
The knocks intensified and Jennifer didn’t doubt before running down the stairs. “Wait!” You shouted right behind her as you skipped a step or two to get down faster.
The only answer you got from your friend was a fit of giggles, and soon you were both facing the main door. Out of breath you stared at the tall shadow of what seemed to be three guys. “Who did you invite?” The taller girl ignored you, unlocking the door at an inhuman pace.
The wide crystal door was out of the way now, letting in the group of young men. “Hello there, girls!” Kelce greeted you excitedly while raising his busy hands in the air.
Topper followed right behind, wearing an uninterested face while holding a cooler with his right arm. You could almost swear you saw him frowning in annoyance when he saw you in front of him.
Then, there was Rafe; standing proudly with his hands in his pockets, wearing a pair of expensive sunglasses and a predatory grin.
“Hi, doll” His voice was deep and confident, giving you a few goosebumps. “It’s…It’s nice to see you” You spoke shyly, slightly intimidated by his proximity.
He softly chuckled. His strong chest rumbled, showcasing some of the veins in his brawny arms. “I’m delighted too” He joked as you felt the heat of his skin on your nape and his heavy palm squeezing your shoulder. “Now, let’s have some fun” He whispered into your ear.
(…)
The laughs echoed throughout the entire house, and you couldn’t help but let out a muffled giggle as you saw the dark haired boy lifting up your friend and threatening to throw her in the pool once again. “Kelce, stop!”
Even Topper left his grumpy state for a few seconds and decided to smile a little. Both him and the Cameron boy had pulled out a blunt, sharing it and causing you to cough more than a few times.
You were seated on the same beach chair as the blond, forced to support part of your back on his naked chest. He didn’t seem to mind though, going as far as holding you steady by throwing his arm around your neck and over your chest.
Your nervousness levels had reached the roof when his fingertips had accidentally rubbed against your breast; and the blond could feel it exuding from your body:“You’re so tense. Relax.” He looked at you through the corner of his eyes. “I’m sorry” You stared back, embarrassed at your own body’s reaction.
“You’re always apologizing.” You weren’t sure if it was a complaint or not, still, you apologized once again. Realization hit you as you saw him smirking harder. “Don’t worry, I like it. It’s cute.” You were growing more flustered by the minute. “Just as cute as this little skirt you’re wearing.” Your heart felt like it was about to explode from how hard it was beating.
You took a deep breath, doing your best to pull your anxiety aside. “And…I like your sunglasses.” You struggled forming a whole sentence.
And with a wave of newfound boldness, you finally took the decision to reach out for the boy’s face.
Your fingertips hesitantly caressed the side of his face before fixing the sunglasses’ crooked position “…But, I like it better when your eyes aren’t covered.”
“Say less” Rafe took you by surprise as he abruptly tore the accessory from him and discarded it to the side like a piece of trash. “Rafe!” You laughed out loud at the shocking display. He sent you a childish look before holding you closer to him.
Once you were able to tame your chuckles down, the intensity of his eyes on your lips made your whole body freeze. Intimacy between you two only grew stronger as his palm positioned itself on your neck’s side, seemingly not getting enough of your body’s warmth.
“Y/N!” The sudden appearance of Jennifer made you pull away from the blond. And as her hands shook you by the shoulders, you couldn’t help but jump out in surprise. “Jen, calm down. You’re going to get her dizzy.” Rafe was quick to intervene, pulling you flush against his chest. “Let’s get in the pool” She said cheerfully while ignoring his words.
“I don’t know-” She shook her head frenetically. “Come on!” You could feel the enthusiasm leaking out of her pores. “…But I don’t even have a swimsuit” You argued, quickly shut down by your friend’s proud response: “I have a solution for that!”
(…)
“Stunning!” The taller girl cheered you up, noticing the way you scanned your body on the full length mirror. The pink checkered bikini had small bows on the straps, immediately making it your first choice.
Jennifer continued praising your figure until a loud noise interrupted her. “Was that glass shattering?” Her face morphed into worry itself. “Guys!” She shouted before leaving the room and running downstairs.
“Alright” You sighed while continuing to dissect your reflection. A ringtone went off, making you lose your focus. “Everything okay?” You said loudly while saving your clothes on the tote bag sitting right next to the phone.
“Hi, Y/N. Yeah…Everything’s pretty great.” Pope sounded relaxed, allowing you to steady your breathing. “You don’t know how comforting it is to hear that.” Relieve leaked through your soft voice, making the boy smile at the other side of the speaker.
“Yeah, I know…I really thought it was over for us.” His voice still had some remains of fear in it. “Don’t say that!…Hey P, just wanted to let you know I’m not with Kiara.” You bit your lower lip while struggling to fit your umbrella in the bag.
“I mean…I called ‘cause I wanted to talk to you.” He shyly revealed. “Oh!…of course. How have you been doing?” There was a short silence before he replied: “I’m just feeling a bit down.” You frowned, quickly taking the device in your hand. “Why?…Did you and the boys fight?” You got no response. “Whatever it is, you know I’m here for you.” You were quick to remember the boy your unconditional support.
Your friend’s answer was overshadowed by the sudden sound of heavy steps. You instinctively looked around, your eyes finally setting on the door. “…we had to hide for days. And I guess it really affected me not being able to step outside, not even for a quick sec’ and- and I missed you too.” The steps stopped, only replaced by a growing shadow peaking under the door.
“Y/N?” You were brought back into the conversation. “I missed you too, Pope.” You hoped the boy didn’t notice the distraction on your tone. “Then, let’s see each other. Tomorrow!” Enthusiasm leaked through the speaker.
“Tomorrow?…We can’t, I’m sorry. Kie and I have to help my parents’ at The Wreck.” The dark haired boy continued to speak, unfortunately, your mind only allowed you to catch on a few words. “What about Friday? We can all meet at The Château.” You interrupted him.
“Oh! That works too.” The steps could be heard again, stopping you from hearing the disappointment in Pope’s voice. “I’m counting the days!” You smiled lightly. “Bye then. Love you!” You said before hanging up.
The commotion of someone bursting inside the bedroom made you jump. “Rafe!” You gripped your chest, feeling your agitated heartbeat under the fingertips. “Rafe?” He moved without saying a word, an indecipherable look on his face.
You felt like hiding when his eyes lingered up and down your figure, taking their time to analyze every centimeter of skin. “I got lost on the way to the bathroom.” His features were still stoic.
“It’s the first door-” “I remember that scar.” Your feet instinctively took some steps back as you saw him moving forward. The wooden floor cracked under his heavy legs.
“That one” He clarified while your back hit the wall. His fingers superficially traced the white horizontal line that decorated your thigh’s side. Rafe took his time redrawing the thing, applying some pressure with his thumb.
“You were trying to help that feral cat.” He squeezed harder, causing you to flinch. The pain made you remember, it was a rainy afternoon at Tannyhill; you had spotted a trembling kitten hanging on from an old tree’s branch.
“Always caring for the ones who don’t deserve it.” You had managed to wrap your frail arms around the poor thing before you had both fallen down. “I never understood it.” His free palm reached out for your jaw, grabbing firmly onto the side of it.
“I guess you’re too kind for your own good.” And as he lightly shook your head, you remembered the fall, the pain of the piece of glass cutting through your skin and the fierce teeth of the feline burying into your arm.
His breath felt overwhelming over your mouth, but even more so as his lips brushed yours in delicate caresses.
You trembled as his other hand stopped toying with your thigh, and reached for the meat of your ass. He gave it a rough squeeze while sinking his teeth into your lower lip.
You tried to pull away from the discomfort but the blond kept you still with his brute force. You knew better than to continue pushing once you started feeling the metallic taste of your own blood.
Tears started forming once you were forced to gasp in pain. Rafe saw it as a chance, slipping his tongue in.
The kiss was like nothing you had experienced before, so passionate and hungry you could almost feel the desperation on your bones.
The Cameron boy explored your whole mouth with his wet muscle, making you go out of breath. His lips moved over yours with experience, while all you could was hold onto his naked chest -hoping not to faint from the lack of air-.
You desperately tried to pull back as soon as your vision grew blurrier, and after a few tugs the blond finally gave in. Your choked coughs echoed through the whole bedroom.
“You taste…so sweet.” He got all over your face, closely analyzing the tears that streamed down your puffy cheeks.
“Hey, don’t cry” He whispered right before licking the salty liquid on your left cheekbone. “I’m sorry” You weren’t exactly sure what you apologized for, still, you felt the need to.
Both of his palms were now squeezing each side of your face, maintaining you on the same spot as he kissed you over and over again.

Sirius’ knuckles rap loudly on your door.
“Fuck, ease up.” James winces. “She’s gonna think we’re the cops.”
“Good. Maybe she’ll answer for them.”
“You need to calm down.” Remus’ voice is patience with a firm edge. “We don’t know what’s going on. If we go in angry with her, it’s not going to help anything.”
“I think I have the right to be somewhat miffed,” Sirius argues. “You ghost someone after a first date, not once you’re in a relationship. It’s fucked.”
“She’s not ghosting us,” James says certainly. Sirius’ mouth pinches in response.
James knows that, truly, his boyfriend is as worried as any of them. You’re well past the point in your relationship where you feel the need to establish the next time you’re going to meet before parting, but after your date last week it took the boys a few days to put it together that none of them had heard from you.
At first, James presumed you’d simply gotten busy. Remus was convinced he’d done something to upset you. Sirius, secretly the most prone to worry, would rather believe he’s been slighted than consider the possibility that something might be keeping you from responding to their calls. Now that it’s been nearly a week, James is convinced something’s happened. You’ve had to take an emergency trip out of town or something’s spooked you and made you avoid them or—worst case scenario—you’re ill and have been holed up here with no one to check in on you for almost a week.
Once he brought up that idea, it wasn’t difficult to convince his boyfriends to do a wellness check during their shift.
“Just don’t be harsh with her,” Remus says gently.
Sirius huffs. He knocks again, albeit somewhat softer.
“NHS,” he calls.
James holds his breath when he hears some shuffling from inside. Gradually, it gets closer and louder, until the door is creaking open and you’re peering through the crack.
Your voice is scratchy, like you haven’t used it in a while. “What’re you doing here?”
James expects Sirius to snipe at you, is already prepared to smooth it over himself with kinder words and a gentler tone, but something seems to shift in the other boy at the sight of you. He pushes through the crack in your door, hugging you fiercely.
“We…” Remus seems as thrown by this deviation as James is. “We thought we ought to check up on you.”
Your hand migrates up, touching Sirius’ back tentatively. “Why?”
“It’s a wellness check.” Sirius’ voice is bitter, but the effect is somewhat muddled by how he’s speaking into your neck. “We had reason to believe you could be harmed or deceased.”
“Oh,” you murmur.
James takes a moment to look you over. You’re in pajamas, visibly rumpled, and yet you look as tired as if you’ve not slept in some time. There’s something off about your expression, something missing that he can’t put his finger on. It’s unsettling in a way that makes him want to wrap you up in a tight cuddle and not let go.
“Are you okay?” he asks, perhaps more brash than he means to be. Normally he’d expect more tact from himself, but he’s shocked Sirius hasn’t asked yet, and someone has to.
“Can we come in?” Remus asks at the same time.
You look between them like you’re not sure what to do with them. Like you’re questioning whether you’re still in some sort of dream.
“Yeah,” you say after a moment. James gets the sense you mean it to answer both of them. You step back from the door to make room for them, and Sirius moves with you. “Um, forewarning, it’s really bad in here.”
Really bad by your standards isn’t the same as James’. If he hadn’t seen the way you normally keep things, he’d never notice anything was amiss. Your place smells a bit stale, like when you leave for a weekend and then come home. There’s a laundry basket on the floor with a few balled socks like you’d started to fold them and given up, and if he peers into your bedroom he can see a small trash pile on your floor and the covers of your bed all twisted up. It’s no worse than his side of the dorm he’d shared with Remus and Sirius in school.
“What happened?” Sirius asks you. His voice sounds clearer now, and James focuses back in to find that he’s let you go enough to press his forehead to yours. His brow and lips are pinched. “Why have you been avoiding us?”
James is nearly overcome by the desire to kiss him and rub his back, but he decides to let you have the honor, if you want it.
You look unsure whether you do.
“I’m sorry.” The words seem scraped out from some aching part of you. “I wasn’t trying to.”
“Then why didn’t you answer our calls?” Sirius’ tone matches yours for desperation. Remus’ expression twinges compassionately.
“I couldn’t.”
“Why not?”
“Sirius,” Remus chides softly.
Your shoulders are slumped, but when Sirius moves away you seem to droop further. He’s only giving you space, his expression far from unkind.
“Why couldn’t you pick up, dove?” Remus asks gently.
“I…” Your eyes meander the floor. “I didn’t know what to talk about. And then my phone died, and it was just easier. I’m really sorry.”
“Is talking to us really that bad?” Sirius is clearly making an attempt at joking, but the heartache underlying his words is unmissable.
“No,” you sigh. “I’m just not really fit for the world right now. I didn’t want you to worry.”
James’ ribs hurt at your admission, but he feels himself nodding. Even if he doesn’t know exactly what it is you’re dealing with, he’s familiar with people who think they’re somehow so damaged they don’t deserve to engage with anyone or anything. Sirius was like that once. Remus even more often. He sees the recognition on both of their faces now, pity and love and regret all tangled up into one messy thing.
“Well, it was a noble effort,” says James, giving you a small smile, “but you can’t stop us worrying. Can I hug you?”
You nod, making an effort towards returning his smile. It’s a half-hearted, flickering thing, but he appreciates it nonetheless.
He kisses your forehead as he folds you into his arms, starting gentle and tightening when you hug him back. Your grip feels a bit weak, if ardent. James pushes his palm up your spine.
“Have you eaten today, sweetheart?”
Your hum in the negative vibrates against his skin.
“I’ll make us something.” Remus starts toward the kitchen, passing a hand over James’ curls as he goes by. “A sandwich alright, dovey?”
“Yeah,” you murmur. “Thanks.”
“Don’t mention it.” His voice raises as he enters the kitchen, and James knows he wants you to hear. To understand that this is something he would happily do for you.
“Let’s sit down,” James suggests. “Pads, would you mind opening the curtains some?”
Sirius complies with vigor, whipping open your drapes while James gets you situated on the couch. In the light, the shadows under your eyes are more evident, as is the redness in them.
James squishes you up against his side. Rubs up and down your arm. “It’s okay,” he murmurs.
You make a tiny, stymied sound, and turn your head down.
“Hey.” Sirius sits on your other side. He kisses your shoulder, worry hewn into the lines of his face. “What’s wrong?”
Your shoulders give a little shake. It’s small, defeated. You curl further in on yourself.
“Oh, baby. I’m so sorry.”
“You don’t have to explain,” James tells you, continuing to drag his hand up your arm. “It’s okay. You’re alright.”
“I wanted—” You take in a wet inhale. He feels close to tears himself. “I wanted to be better when I saw you. I’m sorry.”
“We don’t need you to be any sort of way, sweetheart.” Sirius’ voice is soft but fervent. “We just want to be with you.”
“As much as you’ll let us,” James agrees. His own voice is thick, and Sirius slides his arm around you to rub between his shoulders.
You don’t say much after that. James holds you tight until your trembling stops, and even then he only loosens his grip to let you eat the grilled cheese Remus has made for you. From the wrappers he saw in your room, it’s likely the closest thing to a prepared meal you’ve had in some time.
When you’re done eating, Sirius insists on kissing the saltiness from your cheeks even though your tears have dried. Remus coaxes you into a bath while James and Sirius tidy your room and change your sheets, and then Remus enlists Sirius to shampoo your hair while he tucks your sheets in more effectively. They put your phone on the charger. James makes dinner and puts it in the fridge for you to have later. None of it fixes anything, but he hopes it makes you feel less alone.
When they have to go out for another call, Remus gives you a long hug, James makes you agree to go on a walk with him the next day, and Sirius threatens to pester you with calls until you block his number if you ignore them ever again.
Your eye roll at his antics makes James’ heart sing.

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
Tumblr media
Yeosang is too attentive, especially when it comes to his best friend.
That’s why he knows you well enough to call you out when he whispers, “You’re staring again.”
“I’m staring at the whiteboard, pretty sure that’s what you’re supposed to do in class,” you argue, not bothering to even glance at him. It’s quite obvious that your eyes are too busy soaking in things that don’t have to do with phonology.
Your linguistics teacher, Yunho Jeong, is dressed particularly charmingly today. Something about the tight-fitting white polo shirt and chocolate brown slacks he has on this class is too distracting. It doesn’t help that his hair is a little more messy than usual, you wonder if he was running late this morning. Linguistics has nothing to do with your major, however, for your final semester in college, you simply needed a filler class for your last few credits. Yeosang suggested joining him in this class so you could both support each other, but he never factored in the fact that you’d be too distracted by the teacher to do anything of use for him. There weren’t many younger teachers such as Yunho at your university; in fact, you were pretty sure this was only his second semester teaching in general. He was generally a mild-mannered and easygoing teacher, but he was also able to command a room when necessary.
A minute later, Yunho offers everyone a 10-minute break since the last section of his lecture lasted a little longer than he anticipated, and the class immediately breaks out into chatter.
“He’s single, you know,” Yeosang turns towards you and props up his head on his palm, “Or so I’ve heard.”
“Don’t tell me things like that, you’ll make me delusional.”
He doesn’t miss the goofy smile tugging at your lips as you stretch your tired limbs from too much sitting. The lectures for this class were two hours long, but they were only twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays, so you couldn’t complain too much.
“What the hell does that mean?”
“That I might have a chance with him,” you nudge him playfully.
“I’m not sure he’d want to date someone barely passing his own class,” Yeosang quips quickly, subsequently squeezing his eyes shut when you flick his forehead in response.
“Watch your mouth, I am not ‘barely passing’!” You return your eyes to the subject of your conversation, slowly taking in his form, “For the record, I could definitely pull him if I tried to. You think he likes younger women?”
“That is a terrible idea,” your best friend immediately shakes his head. “Absolutely not.”
“Surely I would be guaranteed to pass then though, no?” you offer instead, half-joking.
“You haven’t gotten laid in the last month and this is the first person that comes to your mind to fix that?” Yeosang scoffs incredulously.
“I wouldn’t just be in it for the sex,” you clarify. Your keen eyes watch his every move, from the way that his large hands flex as he thumbs at his phone to the way he purses his lips in curiosity at whatever he’s looking up. Like a lion stalking a gazelle before pouncing. “He’s quite literally perfect. Tall, smart, handsome, financially stable… the whole package. I deserve a man like that, right Yeo?”
You meet Yeosang’s eyes curiously, and he reminds you, “I think you’re forgetting he’s our teacher .”
“We graduate soon,” you whine, “Act now, worry later. I could graduate with a boyfriend already lined up the minute I get handed my degree.”
“You’re playing with fire, ____,” he holds his hands up in surrender. As your best friend, he knows you’re not joking, despite how much you might play it off later. He knows that once you set your mind on something, you generally don’t stop until it’s achieved, “Let’s see you try, though. It’ll be entertaining.”
When class resumes, you listen to the rest of his lecture with renewed cravings and an unusually optimistic disposition Yeosang has never seen you hold for this subject.
From that moment forward, every instance you “stumbled” across your teacher was planned. You figured out which parking lot he parked his car on during the day and bought a proper parking pass for that lot, now alternating between taking the shuttle and your car to the university. Your schedules crossed occasionally on your driving days, and you’d simply offer warm greetings or cheerful send-offs depending on the time of day. Yunho was a man of habit who visited the same campus restaurant nearly every day he worked during lunchtime in between his midday classes. It didn’t take much energy to stop by a couple of days a week and run into Yunho, giving you the ability to strike up a conversation or two when asking for recommendations on what you should order. These instances were simply to put you more on his radar, instead of just being a face in the sea of students in his class.
He seems to be good friends with two other teachers who are also around his age, teachers Seonghwa Park and San Choi. You wonder if getting in their good graces would somehow transfer to your teacher, by word of mouth. Luckily, you have a friend who has Mr. Park for a history seminar. On a Sunday night, you shoot a text to set the stage.
[Y/N: Jongho!!!! It’s been so long since we’ve hung out :(( Can I swing by your class tomorrow and pick you up? Let’s get lunch!]
When 2 PM rolls around on Monday, you make the mistake of trusting the shuttle to come on time. It’s nearly 3 PM when you get to the necessary building, and you’re sure Jongho’s class ended close to half an hour ago. The plan to run across Mr. Park is thrown completely out of the window, you are only worried about Jongho being upset with you. You know he’d never, but still. Being late to something planned ahead of time always upsets you to no end. You curse at yourself over and over every stride down the hall, and it’s good that the hallways are virtually empty or else you’d probably look crazy. Eventually, you make it to your destination.
You’re just about to blindly call out an apology to Jongho but end up stopping dead in your tracks as soon as you enter the door; not only is Mr. Park in the room seated at his desk, but he’s also accompanied by Mr. Choi and Mr. Jeong. They’re huddled together, Yunho leaning against the whiteboard leisurely with a cup of coffee in his hand while intently listening to Seonghwa complain about the registrar’s office fucking up another one of his student’s enrollment for his class.
“There she is,” Jongho sighs this aloud as if his prayers have been answered.
He didn’t know if you were going to still make it and he’s dying of hunger from skipping breakfast. Immediately, all three men’s eyes turn towards the entrance. You pray to God that your face isn’t flushed with how hot you feel being the fixation of so many eyes. Or maybe it’s more so how handsome the men are that those eyes are coming from. This surely isn’t the time to have such a weakness for a strapping man in a button-up and crisp slacks.
“Hello, ____,” Yunho is the first of the three to speak. Subsequently, San amiably nods toward you in acknowledgment.
“Good afternoon all,” you greet everyone, bashfully adding, “I’m so sorry for interrupting.”
“Not interrupting at all,” Seonghwa waves his hands, dispelling those fears, “We were curious why Jongho was sticking back so late. He assured us a friend was coming to get him and we just chose not to leave him.”
Well, this is embarrassing. You nod hastily and glance toward Jongho, who is practically skipping down the lecture hall’s steps. Yunho wants to crack a joke about seeing you everywhere, about how you both must be magnets or something else silly, but he decides to keep that to himself. He doesn’t want it to seem like he’s keeping track of course, even if he is.
Instead, he affirms to the other men, “This is a student of mine.”
Admittedly, your ears had tuned every other word out except “mine”, and you nodded a little too enthusiastically. You haven’t been this discomposed in a long time, too bashful to look any of them in the eyes, and you pray it’s not showing too much elsewhere. Jongho’s friendly hand landing on your shoulder grounds you.
“You ready?”
“Absolutely,” you puff out.
“Don’t cause too much trouble for her, Jongho,” Seonghwa pokes a bit of fun at one of his top students, who replies by waving him away and scoffing. They seem to be relaxed with each other— this is something you desire to achieve with Yunho soon. You snatch up your friend’s hand and finally move to leave for lunch, if it could even be considered that now with how late it is.
“See you Wednesday, Mr. Jeong,” you look back and shoot him a wave, accompanied by a charming smile. He nods back, offering you his own as well.
Unbeknownst to you, San’s eyes follow you out the door with Jongho, especially surveying the plush of your thighs rubbing together as you walk. Such as yourself, skirts are surely a weakness of his.
“She’s a senior, right?” he murmurs, half-jokingly.
“Stop it,” Yunho promptly elbows San in the arm, earning a stifled laugh from Seonghwa.
Yunho has heard stories about San’s slight affinity with the pretty college women when he goes out to bars on the weekends. Nobody from his own classes, of course. Needless to say, Yunho would not let him even think about you that way. No way in hell.
“I was just asking, Jesus.”
Seonghwa stretches his limbs from his chair, “It’s never ‘just asking’ with you.”
“You buy a table of women drinks one time and your friends never let you hear the end of it,” he groans with a roll of his eyes, “God you guys are the worst.”
“Yeah, sure, that’s what it is,” Seonghwa concedes sarcastically.
“Just don’t make any unannounced visits to my classroom anytime soon, you buffoon,” Yunho chastises him while pressing his cup to his lips, “And I’m serious.”
“You got that,” San yields, “Wouldn’t wanna be a cock-block.”
Yunho nearly spits his coffee, “I beg your pardon?”
San nearly doubles over in laughter and, to Yunho’s surprise, Seonghwa has joined in. He doesn’t particularly enjoy the look they’re sharing and it makes the back of his neck burn with heat. Yunho doesn’t know why he’s so embarrassed but he steers the conversation away from discussing you any further. He ignores the feeling of indignation and possessiveness pooling in the pit of his stomach.
It doesn’t take long for you to decide you’ve done what needed to be done outside of the classroom; the cherry on top now was simply to get him alone more privately.
You didn’t have to try very hard for this to happen; your work on your paper outline was already sub-par at best. You did fairly well on the quizzes and packets he passed out once a week, but that final paper preparation was surely going to be a challenge. When you find enough courage in yourself to email him about seeing him during his office hours for extra academic help on formatting your paper and choosing a more concise topic, he replies quickly and enthusiastically. According to your syllabus, the topic should relate to what you’re studying for your degree, but the real meat and potatoes of the paper should incorporate an aspect of linguistics in relation to your career path. Yunho understands how something like this can be difficult to tackle, so he assures you not to worry and that you both will work on perfecting it in no time.
“Mr. Jeong, do you mind if I text you instead? It’s more convenient for me than to email,” you end up asking him at the end of class on a Friday.
Yunho doesn’t mind this and he says so; he's put his phone number on the syllabus for situations like this. Moreover, he doesn’t think anything of it when he receives a text from you the morning of your first session telling him good morning and saying that you’re excited to finally get some guidance. You follow up by asking how he likes his coffee, and if he prefers muffins or donuts. Even after this indicator, he’s still surprised that you show up at his office right on time at 10 AM on Monday with two fresh cups of coffee and a couple of things from the campus bakery.
His office is fairly small, but not enough to feel uncomfortable. He’s decorated it to his liking though to make it feel a little more homely on the days he has to stay late for one reason or another. He watches you marvel at his space before you set down everything in your hands and relieve yourself of your backpack.
“Good morning!”
“Good morning ____, welcome in,” Yunho smiles. “You’re very punctual.”
“Of course, I meant what I said about being excited,” you tell him honestly, settling into the seat in front of his desk, “The right one is yours, by the way.”
Yunho timidly thanks you before sliding it closer to himself. He’s never had a student do something for him like this, then again he hasn’t been teaching that long to begin with. Regardless, he appreciates it and the gesture goes straight to his heart. He takes a sip to emphasize this.
“I’m all ready when you are,” you proclaim, clasping your hands together.
With that, he begins to look through his folders for your class number and finds the topic idea and outlines you’ve submitted previously. He doesn’t even have to look for your name specifically, you always tend to write his name and your class section in a particular way on the top of your work that is very appealing and oddly unique.
“You have really pretty handwriting,” Yunho murmurs out absentmindedly when he finds it. When he lifts his head to see your intrigued eyes gazing back at him, he clears his throat and adds, “Mine looks like chicken scratch so I’m always fascinated by others.”
“As long as it’s legible, that’s all that matters,” you hum with a smile, “And I can read yours just fine, so you’re fine.”
Yunho’s not sure why that mild compliment, something that should probably be insignificant, steals his words from him for a moment. Instead, he offers a hum in place of thanks while quickly taking another sip of his coffee. He glances at his notes before speaking again.
“Okay, so when I reviewed your work, it seems like you generally have a solid topic,” he begins, “It’s definitely something that can be a bit more concise, but it’s fine. The problem is that you’re trying to incorporate too much into the paper as a whole.”
You nod in understanding, so he takes a sip of coffee and continues.
“That’s good and bad, for a couple of reasons. It’s good that you’re being ambitious and trying to give lots of information. This shows me that you’re planning on doing a lot of research and you’re going to be very knowledgeable about your topic,” Yunho cocks his head, “If you set yourself up like this, though, your paper will end up being over twenty pages easily. And we both don’t want that, right?”
He gives you a knowing look, and you can’t help the candid snort you let out at his frankness, “Definitely not, oh God. I’m so sorry.”
“Precisely. So, let’s work on cutting some of these sections out and conjoining some of these bullet points in others. Sound good?” He holds out his hand with a grin as if to make it a deal, and you grant him a firm shake.
After a considerable amount of time figuring out which parts of your paper to chop without losing the vision, Yunho feels his limbs tighten from sitting too long. He’s been in this chair since 9 AM, so he asks, “Can we take a quick break? I need to stretch a bit.”
“Of course!”
When he stands to full height and stretches his arms, your eyes inconspicuously survey the way the edge of the desk lines up right with his pelvis. Perfect height for extracurricular activities… You wonder if he’s the type of guy to be open to something like that, fucking his lover in his office. Surely this thing is sturdy enough to withstand it, you muse. The thought of him bending you over the desk just to prove how sturdy it is makes you rub your thighs together. You decide to chug the rest of your now-cold coffee to get your brain back on track. Yunho collapses back into his office chair gently and lets you know he’s ready to resume. The rest of the time is spent setting up a list of some things you could tweak when you go home on your own and prepare for him to view in a couple of days.
On Wednesday, for your second meeting, you both convene at his office directly after your class with him in the afternoon. You smell especially good today, a mix of jasmine, vanilla, and something else he can’t put his tongue on… but it’s got Yunho’s head a bit foggy. Still, the meeting is engaging and brimming with useful help just as the last. Leaning back in his chair, he takes a brief moment to review a printout of what you’ve implemented into your outline from your last meeting discussions. It’s definitely already an improvement, but there are still a few things that could be tweaked in terms of sectioning. He grabs his favorite pen and lays your papers out in front of you, leaning forward to mark things you should be mindful of. A circle here, a quick jotted note there—his soothing voice explains each eagerly, and you can tell just how much he loves this subject by his enthusiasm. You reply to all of his criticism and suggestions with just as much enthusiasm. Yunho finds himself leaning in a little closer than might be suitable for the circumstances, but his brain is still ensnared by your perfume. He doesn’t even realize what he’s doing, truthfully, but it doesn’t bother you a bit. In fact, you’re a little too enamored with watching his large hands grip his pen and flex while writing to notice he’s calling your name.
“____?” he calls for a second time, to which you finally meet his gaze while blinking bashfully. “You okay?”
“I’m sorry, I think I spaced out for a second,” you answer honestly. He is absolutely too close to you right now and the way you can see the details in his eyes is making your brain short-circuit. He finally sits back in his chair and chuckles warmly.
“We have been working for quite a while today, I’m sure it’s a lot of information. Maybe we should wrap up for the day and meet again next week? I’m a bit tied up on Friday,” he ponders. You can’t help the hint of disappointment that makes its way onto your face, and he notices. There’s this unusual feeling in his chest right now; why does he feel regret for his stupid schedule? He leans forward on his elbows and cocks his head, “You’re doing very well, you know that? We’ve made a lot of progress after only a couple of meetings. I’m very excited to see how this comes together at the end of the semester.”
“I’m very self-conscious about my writing, so I appreciate that, Mr. Jeong,” you confess with a sheepish smile.
“You have nothing to be stressed about, I love what I’ve seen so far,” he continues his praise, “And I’m very happy you’re in my class, ____.”
The smile he gives you after such a statement manifests dozens of butterflies in your stomach, and you can’t help but match it. These one-on-one sessions go on 2-3 days a week for about two more weeks, loosening him up to you. He successfully becomes much more casual and unfiltered in your presence before you decide to up the ante. The following Tuesday of the next week, you remain on campus fairly late after classes end for the day, seated on a bench near the parking lot you both share. It’s warm outside even with the sun gradually setting, and you spend the time mentally rehearsing exactly what you planned on saying when he arrives to leave for home. He should be here any minute now–
“_____?”
You spin around at the familiar voice calling out your name. It’s him, of course, coming from the staff meeting you found out was being held this evening. Finally , you think. He stops just short of where you’re perched on the bench.
“Oh, hello Mr. Jeong.”
“What are you doing out here so late?” He inquires quickly, and there’s a tinge of concern laced in his voice. However, he realizes that asking this might be out of the realm of things he should know, you’re a grown woman after all. So, he follows up with an excuse, “It’s getting pretty dark out.”
“It’s a bit embarrassing,” you mutter, glancing away from his gaze.
Yunho can’t deny, he’s a bit mesmerized by the way you look tonight. He’s never seen you with your make-up done up like this, or your hair styled so charmingly. When you glance back at him again with those long, fluttering lashes of yours, he feels the back of his neck turn hot.
“You can tell me anything, you already know,” he reminds you, “I won’t judge and I’m always available to listen.”
“Well… I have a reservation for dinner with someone at six… but it seems they stood me up,” you reveal while mindlessly fiddling with a frayed string on the skirt of your dress. Yunho glances down at his watch: it’s 5:48 PM. “They were supposed to pick me up a while ago. I was trying to hold out some hope, but… I’m just being stupid.”
Yunho furrows his brows; why would someone stand a girl like you up? You’re beautiful and exceptionally smart (despite any kind of trouble you may have had with your paper). You’re also one of the sweetest people he’s ever crossed paths with in life. Many of those paths having been crossed within the last month, of course. Still, he can’t fathom it.
“I’m so sorry to hear that, ____,” he tells you truthfully. Then, he thinks about how your car isn’t here, and how the shuttle won’t be around until 6:30 PM. He’s slightly apprehensive before offering, “Do you want a ride home?”
You give him a winsome smile that pierces into his heart with an invisible arrow, “You don’t have to do that. I appreciate the offer though.”
“No, really, I don’t mind at all,” he says with more confidence. The idea of him being your knight in shining armor, buried deep in the back of his head, is shouting at him. That’s when you decide it’s time to take your shot, for better or worse.
“Well, in that case, would you like to accompany me to the restaurant instead?” you inquire, glancing up at him curiously. “I already paid for the spot, so I wouldn’t want the reservation to go to waste.”
Normally, you’d follow up a statement like that with a: “But it’s okay if not.”
Not tonight.
You didn’t want to give him an out to this proposal willingly. You can see the mild indecisiveness in his face anyway, all the way down to how Yunho’s hand tightens around the handle of his briefcase. You did get all dolled up for whoever you were supposed to be spending the evening with, and he’ll feel awfully bad letting you go back home to take it all off for no reason. It’s just a dinner, he tells himself.
“Sure,” Yunho finally says in an exhale, “Let me pull around my car.”
While he walks off into the parking lot towards his car, you bite down hard on your bottom lip to stop the dishonest smile that’s threatening to spread across your face. Was it all a bald-faced lie? Of course it was! But, sometimes it takes some white lies to get to what you want, and what you wanted was no longer that far out of reach if tonight was anything to go by.
When he finally pulls around to pick you up, you allow yourself to slip into the mode you usually go to on dates. It doesn’t hurt to pretend tonight, it’s like manifesting your reality. You thrum your fingers against your bare thighs, to no particular beat, while staring out of the car window at other passing cars during your brief trip on the highway.
“Is this a restaurant you’ve been to before? It looked really nice online,” Yunho eventually says into the silence, trying to make small talk. He had briefly skimmed the reviews while plugging the address in on his phone.
“I haven’t, actually,” you divulge, going further, “I’m a bit of a foodie, you know? I like to try new places occasionally.”
That conversation flows smoothly for the rest of the drive, and even smoother when you both are seated and eating dinner in a booth towards the back of the restaurant. It’s nice to see him in a more relaxed setting.
“Thank you for joining me tonight, Mr. Jeong.” You offer him some well-deserved gratitude as you wipe your mouth, signaling the end of your eating. “Makes things a lot less embarrassing tonight for sure.”
“No need to thank me, I enjoyed your company,” he smiles. He doesn’t even hesitate this time before adding, “That bastard doesn’t know what he’s missing out on.”
The bubbly laugh and adorable smile you grant him the experience of witnessing enraptures him, the tips of his ears burning at the thought of how he wants to be able to produce that from you again and again. Yunho hasn’t been on a date in a while, so he’s sure this feeling is just because he’s attention-deprived. Still, it’s something he notes mentally. And, even though some might consider it inappropriate, you and your teacher both began having dinner occasionally, just like that. Platonically, of course.
“We can go over my questions for my paper topic here rather than in that cramped office of yours, you know?”
Surprisingly when you proposed this, he showed little resistance to the idea. Yunho enjoyed getting out of the house for the evenings he usually spent alone with a few beers and a Netflix series. He enjoyed having a pretty girl keep him company even more. He reminds himself every time he picks you up, though, that this is simply work and nothing more. Just some overtime—helping a student who enjoyed his class get better at the material. It’s not meant to be enjoyable.
But after the first few times of these “informational paper related” meetings, conversations involving anything to do with linguistics slowly molded into Yunho placing a nimble finger to his lips to say a silent shhh, followed by, “Let’s not talk about schoolwork tonight, okay?”
That moment, when you noticed that slight shift in Yunho’s energy, the atmosphere from there turned more informal. You become more conscious of those important invisible lines between student and teacher— or even more teacher and friend— that have begun to blur significantly. “Good evening Mr. Jeong,” became, “Le’me taste your food, Yunho?”
To which he never declines, naturally.
Tonight, on the 5th dinner, the climate between you both plows further into the downward spiral of informality, warm and fairly flirtatious. At least, that’s what you surmise by the way he keeps openly teasing you this evening. It’s all innocuous banter, but that doesn’t quell the adoration you hold for him in the pit of your stomach. It’s enough to make your thighs clench together underneath the table. You finally decide to shamelessly reciprocate, teasing him about the way his hair is going every which way tonight. You emphasize how the style is still very handsome despite him looking like he’s been through hell and back.
“I was having a pretty bad day today until I remembered where I was going tonight actually,” Yunho divulges, pushing the wrinkly sleeves of his shirt up to his elbows. He truly has been through hell and back today, between snooty older teachers and idiot freshmen both treating him like he’s a student just because of his age, “These kinds of nights with you always make my day, so it’s been saved.”
A playful smile tugs at your lips as you cock your head, “Is it the food or is it the company?”
He leans forward on his forearms with a prepossessing smile, one that makes your heart thump loudly in your ears.
“Both, of course,” he teases again, “I suppose the food is just a bonus, though.”
He takes notice of the way your cheeks are dusted in crimson as you shyly avert your eyes and locks that innocent image into a deep chamber of his mind along with all the others. He practically has a photo album saved mentally. It’s not too long until the food comes, and things become all about eating. A fair amount of time into your dinner, you decide to add a new element to your dynamic.
“Do you mind if I drink a little tonight?” you inquire quietly while your eyes skim the wine menu briefly. Not like you were going to care about his answer, but it was simply fun to ask. He chuckles.
“You’re an adult,” he points out instead. You smile to yourself before meeting his eyes from behind the menu. There’s something especially curious tonight behind those dark irises of his. The unfamiliar stare he gives you from behind his bangs is accompanied by a subtle smirk that makes your stomach tie into tight knots.
You turn away your eyes until you’re able to catch the attention of your waiter once more. In the process of requesting a glass of some Cabernet Sauvignon, you hesitate before saying the name of which brand because of the price tag for one glass, but most risks are pricey and tonight you felt like splurging for the reward in return: releasing your inhibitions. The waiter turns towards Yunho to confirm if he’d like to add anything before he leaves.
“Bring a bottle of that instead, please. We’ll share,” he requests alternatively. It takes all of your strength not to look at him like he’s crazy as the waiter nods and heads off to fetch it.
“It’s on me tonight,” Yunho beats you to the punch on declaring anything about his decisions.
“You don’t even know the price of it.”
“Doesn’t matter,” he quips back with a chuckle, “Are you suggesting I can’t afford it?”
“Yunho…”
“Don’t even give me that, ____.”
The way he blithely says your first name with a different warmth now always causes your heart to swell in your chest. All formality is truly gone between you two. You both share matching smiles in place of any further words about the matter.
When the waiter returns briefly with a freshly opened bottle of wine and two glasses, you both offer him words of gratitude before he slips away once more. Yunho wastes no time pouring you both a proper amount, sighing contently when finished. You lift your glass towards him and grin once more, “Cheers?”
“Cheers.”
Yunho surely got his money’s worth, because the bottle is gone between you both quickly, signaling the end of your dinner as well. You don’t feel the few glasses fully set in until Yunho is helping you out of the booth, your legs feeling akin to a newborn baby deer as you bashfully stumble into his arms. You suppose your food wasn’t as carb-heavy as usual tonight. You’re not drunk, but surely you’re not sober either. He doesn’t mind holding you steady on the way out of the restaurant, a guiding hand timidly pressed to the small of your back.
As much as you despise the thought of driving under the influence, it’s pouring an insane amount of rain upon exit of the restaurant and Yunho insists he’s fine enough to drive. The dilemma that arises is how your place is further than he has confidence in making it to in this storm while inebriated. You know just as well as he does that there’s no way he’s driving you home tonight.
“I have a spare bedroom,” he begins, and glances over at you, hoping you understand what he means because he’s not sober enough to come up with the words to ask you otherwise. The pouring water is making it hard for him to keep his eyes open but he doesn’t miss the feigning look of indecision in your eyes. He tries to ignore the way the rain has soaked through your dress enough to make it plaster your body. It accentuates every contour of your figure, from the rounds of your breasts down to your supple thighs. When the boom of thunder somewhere far off fills the silence after his proposal faster than you do, he panics slightly.
“I can get you an Uber if—”
“You already paid for an expensive bottle tonight, don’t waste more money on an Uber,” you grasp onto his arm fondly, sopping breasts squished into his bicep. Your lips curl into a soft smile at his attempt at chivalry though, “I’ll be fine. Let’s hurry though, okay? I’m cold.”
That statement is followed by a sharp shiver running down your back, and that’s enough for him to drag you along with him to his car with quick, but careful, steps.
Surprisingly, Yunho lives in a townhouse. You’re very thankful not to have to walk up the stairs of a condo. He thanks God there’s an empty parking space in front of his house, he hates when the tiny lot fills up before he gets home. You both prepare yourselves before rushing out of the car and to his front door.
Your hazy eyes train themselves on his pretty, slender fingers fiddling with the doorknob before he finally gets it open. Those same fingers grab your hand and pull you through his front door with him mindlessly. Another chill immediately runs down your spine at the cool AC blasting through his home, which he immediately runs off to turn down.
“Both bedrooms have bathrooms with showers,” Yunho sputters while quickly heading off to find you a towel and some spare clothes for which you could sleep in.
While you’re still peeling your drenched shoes and socks off, he settles on a fresh t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants since it’s still a bit chilly in the house. You try not to track too much water through his home while you journey through his living room and meet him halfway.
“I’ll shower in the guest room,” you tell him, taking the items.
He runs an anxious hand through the wet hair sticking to his forehead, “I can also dry your clothes if you leave them on the bed.”
“Fuck, that’s great,” you sigh with a smile, stepping past him but cocking your head back to add, “Wait about five minutes before you come grab them, I should be in the shower by then.”
Just as you requested, Yunho comes into the room a little over five minutes later when he hears the shower running. His eyes confirm that the bathroom door is closed for your privacy before grabbing your wet clothes and retreating to his laundry room down the hall. He chucks them all in his dryer and runs it on medium heat and maximum dryness. While that’s running, he busies himself with running to his bedroom and speedrunning his shower to ensure he’s out before you. He’s a man on a mission, pulling on clothes and towel-drying his hair before rushing to the laundry room to get your clothes.
Yunho pulls your garments from the dryer one by one, making sure there’s nothing left wet. He stops when he pulls something out that catches his eyes. Your underwear. He’s quite enticed by them, even if they were pastel pink with turtles... Hot, he thinks sarcastically. Yunho eyes the crotch curiously and remembers that technically he didn’t wash your clothes at all. It’s been a while since he’s had a girl over his home and that, on top of the thought of even holding your underwear, is taking a small toll on him. He gives in and puts them to his nose, breathing in deeply.
Oh God … Even after they've been soaked in rain, your scent is still heavy on the fabric. He groans, why did you have to smell so fucking good? He remembers that you are quite literally right down the hall while he's here sniffing your underwear like a pervert. It’s your fault, right? Yeah, it’s your fault for trusting him with such a sensitive piece of clothing by himself. It’s your fault for smelling so good and looking so pretty and—
He gives up on rationalizing it and presses the clothing fully onto his face again, inhaling heavily and feeling himself grow harder and harder by the second. His arousal grows worse and worse, precum dampening his underwear with every deep inhale and fluttering thought of what you probably taste like… He finds his hand mindlessly palming himself, and luckily his groans are muffled by the underwear bunched up in his face. That’s when he hears the water shut off.
Yunho whispers a handful of obscenities as he hurries to the room to place your dried clothes on the bed while you’re still in the bathroom, closing the door behind him softly. He’s long gone by the time you step out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel.
Normally, you’d stay in the shower until your fingertips are pruney, but you suppose being a good guest includes not using up all of his hot water. There were more pressing things to attend to anyway, like the tall attractive man patiently awaiting your presence outside of this room. So, when you tug on your now dry panties and his previously provided clothing, you quickly make your way out of the room and to the living room. You’re not exactly sure what you expected upon seeing him, but he’s indeed still exceptionally handsome freshly out of the shower. Those same curious eyes gaze at you behind his shaggy bangs, still in the process of drying. Clad in a simple white t-shirt and a pair of athletic shorts, his biceps and strong thighs are fully on display as he lounges on the couch. The way his long legs are man-spread now that he’s comfortable in his own abode makes you swallow a little harder than usual. Still, you meander over and sit on the other side of the couch, not too far away.
“Your place is very nice,” you state absentmindedly, glancing around at the walls of his home. “Very fit for a bachelor.”
Without you noticing, Yunho’s eyes skillfully study the way you’re so casually in his clothing. You’re too busy glancing around at unnecessary things anyway; he wonders if you’re rambling about his decor because you’re nervous. He’s nervous too, but not for the right reasons. Regardless, seeing you in his clothing is taking an additional toll on his mental health. How did you both end up in this situation together… This is wrong, he thinks. He shakes his head to try and clear those corrupted thoughts from his mind. It isn’t until you realize he hasn’t replied to anything in a couple of minutes of you jabbering that you finally peer over at him. His eyes are trained on the short distance between the both of you, mindlessly chewing on the nail of his thumb.
“You okay?” you ask, finally catching his attention.
He nods hastily, “Definitely. Sorry, it’s been a long day. Mind is on empty.”
“You’re fine, no worries.”
It’s uncomfortably quiet for a moment as you both exchange stares. You’re seconds away from breaking the silence before Yunho steals the chance.
“I’m sure you’re tired, so we can head to bed,” he suddenly exhales, hands clasping his thighs, “The guest room is all yours for as long as you need it.”
You take the chance and lean forward toward him on your palms at this statement, slightly sinking into the couch while you gaze at him, “Is that what you really want, Yunho?”
There’s now an even longer moment of silence where you both stare each other in the eyes again and the room is unbearably quiet. Yunho finally breaks it after his Adam’s apple bobs uneasily.
“Of course,” he awkwardly chuckles with furrowed brows, “What do you mean, ____?”
Your heart deflates. For a second, you wonder if maybe you’ve been reading his body language incorrectly the entire night. There’s a flare of embarrassment that ignites on your cheeks as you immediately retract yourself.
“I suck at making jokes,” you match his chuckle nervously, “Don’t mind me.” He cocks his head at you curiously and you stand to your feet before he can catch the way your face is lighting on fire with every passing second. You avoid looking at him as you begin striding back to the guest room, “Goodnight Yunho, see you in the morning!”
Yunho is left alone to his own devices once he hears the sound of the door to the guest room closing down the hall. Sitting alone on a large bed in your teacher’s home feels surreal, and all too disappointing the same. You press your palms to your eyes to try and settle the embarrassment that keeps washing over you every time you think back to your impromptu attempt at making an advance toward him. God this fucking sucks…
After a few minutes of setting up some alarms on your phone for the next morning, you decide you need to go get some water and wash away tonight from your mind forever. Yunho Jeong doesn’t like you more than a friend, it’s time to accept your fate and that you failed at attracting him. To be fair, it all was a shot in the dark to begin with. You try not to be too hard on yourself and hope that he’s already in his room by now.
But, if that’s all truly the case, then why is Yunho standing in front of the guest room door when you open it? His arm is positioned as if he was about to knock. Yunho had been standing there for quite some minutes, debating his next actions in his head, overthinking as usual. Though, could it be considered overthinking if the consequences of his actions could lead to delinquency? Had you not opened the door to go get water, albeit unknowingly, he probably would’ve psyched himself out.
“Oh– Did you need something?” you mumble and look up inquisitively at him. His mouth lingers open for a few seconds before he learns how to speak again.
“Can we talk?”
“Of course.” You can’t help the hint of confusion gracing your face as you step aside and allow him inside the room, “Is everything okay?”
When you close the door and face him, he looks distraught. Everything was indeed not okay.
“Are you still drunk?” He asks first.
“I don’t really think I was ever drunk,” you tell him, “But no.”
“Neither am I.”
At first, it doesn’t click about why he’s confirming this. You also don’t notice the way he gradually takes tentative steps forward—or the way you’re equally taking steps back—until your back hits the bedroom door. He’s so close that you can smell the minty mouthwash still fresh on his breath unfurling over your face. Still, he looks hesitant about his actions.
“I’m sorry, I was just… nervous before,” he swallows. He watches your face shift from confusion to realization; he’s referring to his response when you shot your shot. You relax against the door.
“About?” Is all you can ask in a soft voice, left hand daringly reaching up and cupping his cheek.
“About drunken words,” he continues, his voice just above a whisper. You can see the stutter of his heart against his chest. “And my feelings.”
Your thumb brushes his bottom lip, “What are you feeling, Yunho?”
In a moment of fleeting courage, he gently grabs your right hand and leads it to settle below his groin, pressing it against him a bit for good measure.
“What does it feel like I’m feeling to you?”
Your cheeks heat up at the feeling of him in your palm; you didn’t expect him to be so forward about it out of nowhere. The overall anticipation of the situation is killing you, even though everything feels like it’s moving too slowly and too fast all at the same time. All of your effort was leading to this point and yet, somehow, you still don’t feel nearly as prepared as you thought you were to finally fuck him, to finally fuck your teacher. That doesn’t stop your cunt from clenching around nothing at all at his words alone, because this is definitely what you’ve wanted so badly for weeks.
You try to swallow even though your throat feels parched, mindlessly whispering, “Oh my God…”
Then, you give him an experimental squeeze which has his eyelids fluttering closed, and a deep grunt leaving his flared nostrils.
“Fuck …” he groans. It’s too natural, the way you subconsciously run your hand up and down the bulge, feeling it harden even further. Yunho is at his wit's end. “I need you to tell me exactly what you want ____,” he reminds you.
You get it, he’s covering his bases because of his relation to you outside of this bedroom. Consent is sexy regardless, so you grant that to him.
“I really, really want you to fuck me Yunho,” you purr as your hands creep up his chest until you can wrap your arms around his neck, “And I think you want the same, right?”
Yunho’s hands sneak under the t-shirt on you and he massages the flesh of your sides, fingertips ghosting up your skin until they reach your breasts. His thumbs brushing against your hard nipples involuntarily make you whimper his name, and this is all Yunho needs to hear to proceed without such caution. The moment he leans down and smashes his lips to yours, time stops.
It’s nasty, the way your tongues are dragging against each other, spreading trails of saliva everywhere.
It’s nasty, the way he can’t help but drag that same tongue down your neck, sullying your freshly washed skin with spit.
It’s even nastier, the way he moans out your name, shamelessly grinding his clothed boner into your crotch, searching for friction because he’s touch-starved.
“A-Ah—wait! Bed, please,” you let out a broken moan at the way he sucks and bites on your neck. Yunho grunts in agreement, spinning you around and forcefully guiding you back until you both reach the bed. You can’t help but giggle when you fall back on the mattress— he’s so hungry for it, for you. And you’re more than ready to give it to him.
“Can I take them off?” He still asks like a gentleman, though his fingers are impatiently already tugging at the bottom of your sweatpants. You nod with fervor.
The moment he tosses them away, the situation begins to feel a bit more real to you both. Maybe it’s because you’re sopping wet and semi-exposed, and he’s not, so you become bashful and self-conscious.
“Take yours off too?”
Yunho doesn’t hesitate to oblige you. He peels off his shirt and shoves his shorts away easily. There’s a brief second where he hesitates before also pulling his boxer briefs down and finally fully exposing himself to you in all his nude glory. Yunho hasn’t slept with a woman in a while, but he’s never had complaints about anything, and especially not his size. He can tell by how your eyes are drinking him in, that you won’t have any either.
“You’re so handsome, you know that?” you murmur, eyes hazy as they rake over him from his broad chest to his defined abs, then his defined hips to his heavy cock. There’s a cute hue of pink dusting his cheeks at the compliment.
Yunho doesn’t give you a chance to stare at him very much longer before he’s finally ridding you of your shirt, lips meeting yours again the moment it’s tossed. It’s not long before that naughty mouth of his indulges in your breasts, licking and sucking on your hardened nipples like they’re the only thing that will keep him grounded to earth. You’re a moaning mess underneath of him, hands carding through his tresses and lips struggling with telling him how much you love his mouth. He could suck on your beautiful breasts all day but there are more pressing matters at this time.
His eyes never leave yours as he kisses all the way down the expanse of your stomach to the waistband of your panties. Only then does he close his eyes to bury his face in your clothed cunt and take a deep breath, filling his lungs until they feel like they're about to burst. He’s so content that now he can do it knowing the real thing is right underneath. It gets him hard all the same as the laundry room. You watch him grind himself into the mattress for some relief just at the smell of you.
“I’ve never done something like this before,” he divulges, pressing heated kisses into the skin of your sensitive thighs.
“What, eating pussy?” you tease to ease his nerves. He stares pointedly at you from behind your mound.
“You know what I mean.”
Your hand reaches down to find a comforting purchase in his hair, “Neither have I, Yu.”
Yunho can feel himself falling apart faster and faster, and the nickname is not helping him keep it together at all. He hooks his fingers in your panties and gently tugs them down your legs, joining the rest of the discarded clothing on the floor. Your cheeks tingle with heat when his hands spread your legs wider, eyes seemingly mesmerized.
“Such a pretty pussy…” he whispers, marveling at the way your sticky lips tremble when you clench around nothing.
He solves that by pushing in two of those pretty fingers of his, all the way down to the last knuckles. The desperate moan that flies from your lips sends him into a depraved headspace. He immediately latches his mouth onto your throbbing clit and sets to work, thrusting into your squelching squeezing heat and sucking to his heart’s content. Yunho loves eating pussy, truly. There’s something truly cathartic to him about holding a woman’s legs down while she twitches and grinds against his face as he’s slurping up every bit of essence that seeps from her greedy hole. He even removes his fingers and opts for lapping at your heat like a starved man instead. Up and down, left and right… His tongue leaves no inch of your heat untouched. He loves the feeling of your slick coating his face when he pushes his tongue as deep as he can into your hole. He feels your hands yank him by his hair before he can even get to the fun part. He gazes up at you in confusion, mouth messy and eyes indubitably pussy-drunk.
“Please,” you beg, chest heaving, “I want you inside.”
Yunho licks his lips clean before crawling back up your body to fulfill your request. You’re right honestly, there’s only so much grinding he can do into the mattress to ease the ache of his hard cock. He leans over to grab a condom from the nightstand but you pull him back over, mumbling about how you’re on the pill and that it’s fine.
He’s so big, the way he’s engulfing your whole body with you caged between his arms like this. Gazing into your eyes, he drags the blunt tip of his cock back and forth through your dripping folds, occasionally pressing it hard against that clit that he’s taken such a liking to sucking on.
“Hey,” you mumble against his lips, catching the full attention of his blown-out irises. “I can tell you’re nervous. Just relax and lose control, for me. Okay?”
Yunho’s last rope of restraint snaps.
The moment you feel his tip finally breach your entrance, you squeeze your eyes shut and mewl at the feeling of his thick cock sliding into its rightful place. Yes, obviously he’s meant just for your cunt, because you fit like a glove when you're swallowing him in so badly the deeper he pushes. He doesn’t stop until he’s buried to the hilt, despite your squirming and twitching underneath him at the feeling of being so full.
“I’m about to move,” he pants, adjusting to the feeling of your warm walls squeezing his cock, “Holy fuck.”
When you nod, he finally lets go of his inhibitions. He begins to roll his hips at a nice steady pace, large hands clasped to the backs of your thighs as he pushes them towards your torso. His mouth hangs open in ecstasy and his eyelids lower lazily at the way your walls suck in his cock so tightly and squeeze it like they’re begging to be filled to the brim. You reach up and latch onto his arms to ground yourself, head dizzy and overwhelmed at the feeling of him starting to snap his hips just a little faster now that you’re stretched out a bit more to accommodate him.
“Yunho, fuck, you’re so big,” you whimper, nails digging into his shoulders. Yunho grinds his pelvis into you at this remark, rubbing against your clit with his happy trail.
“And you’re taking me so well,” Yunho praises with a lopsided grin, “Feels good?”
“So fucking good.”
Yunho pushes your legs back even further as he leans in to capture your lips in a sloppy kiss. You’re so pretty with those glassy eyes and those flushed cheeks of yours, but there’s something about that that quivering bottom lip that makes him want to suck every sound from you himself. He finds himself bucking faster and faster, unable to maintain any kind of self-control.
He breaks away to catch his breath, eyes lazy as he groans, “Let me hear you. This is what you wanted, yeah?”
“Mhm, yes, yes,” you whine desperately, “I wanted it so bad. Wanted you so bad.”
You grant him a flurry of shameless bitten-off moans, egging him on further and further. Yunho buries his face into the crook of your neck, making your skin damp between his own warm gasps and grunting obscenities. He doesn’t think he’s ever felt this aroused before; yes, he’s so painfully hard at the fleeting thoughts of how inappropriate everything is. He’s your linguistics teacher—he’s not supposed to be teaching your cunt how to mold to the shape of his cock. He’s not supposed to be massaging your clit and babbling nonsense about how he’s going to lick your pussy clean when you cum. How can he say that to a student? However, his eyes roll back at that thought.
“I’m going crazy,” he groans into your skin, mindlessly speaking his thoughts aloud. “I’m so close.”
You’d say the same if you could, but your mouth can’t form proper words with the way his long fingers are rubbing quick messy circles around your clit. Instead, you put your mouth on the shell of his ear and say his name in a filthy mewl. Your legs tense up and your toes curl; Yunho can feel you cum around his cock a beat later, encouraging your convulsing and whimpering. He can only manage to give you a few more rough thrusts before he pulls himself out and allows himself to empty his balls in quick spurts all over your torso, a mix of “fuck” and “____” leaking from his mouth at how filthy the action is, dirtying you like this. He’s a man of his word though, quickly hefting himself back down to your sopping cunt and diving face first to taste everything he missed tasting earlier. The groan of pure bliss he lets out into your sensitive cunt has you squirming away, much to his dismay. But he finds himself chuckling anyway—he got to taste your cum and, even if it was for only a few seconds, he’s satisfied.
Cleaning up and cuddling after is far from awkward, Yunho feels comfortable with his arms wrapped around you and head on your chest. You find yourself mindlessly scratching his scalp and playing with his messy hair, while his large hands massage the muscles of your thighs. It’s immensely intimate, and this scares Yunho deep inside. Unbeknownst to his stress, you’re settling into a mental state of bliss; you can’t wait to see where this night leads you after, even if it might be a little awkward back in the classroom at first. He tries not to dwell on such thoughts for too long, eventually falling asleep under your touch.
Yunho wakes up to a cold, empty bed. Glancing over at the clock on his nightstand, he catches some time he can’t be bothered with reading fully, nine-something-in-the-morning. He groans internally at the bittersweet arrival of the morning. After a few seconds of just lying there, bleary eyes staring at anything and everything, he remembers that he’s not supposed to be alone right now. The grimace that crosses his face is heavy.
He lugs himself up and out of bed to find his phone, which he’s left God knows where. After a bit of searching, he’s even more upset to see a lack of text from you about leaving. Leaving with no word after sex… Yunho has been in this position before and it makes him feel like shit. It feels even worse considering that this is not just some random woman, you are his student. He’s a chronic overthinker, he knows he is. Yet, he can’t stop his mind from filling with a plethora of miserable thoughts about what this could mean.
Did you simply want to fuck him and nothing more?
Did you regret sleeping with him and want to leave without confrontation?
Did you sleep with him to then leave and tell someone, maybe to humiliate him?
All of these thoughts scream at Yunho until he finds himself clenching his jaw, and tears are pricking at his eyes. He hates this feeling every time it happens; it makes him feel like he’s not good enough. In a moment of brief irrationality, Yunho debates if he should outright block you.
He’s impulsive like that when he’s worked up. However, after a few minutes of begging himself to calm down, he tossed his phone away and went on to make a cup of tea to ease his agitation. He knew this was a mistake from the start and he still did it.
He doesn’t get a text from you until after 11 AM.
[Y/N: sorry for leaving without saying anything!! I forgot I had prior commitments this morning, didn’t wanna text you until I was sure you’d be up. hope you slept well :)]
Yunho doesn’t know what to think. Prior commitments? Surely this would’ve been something you would’ve mentioned before he drove you to his home last night. It is Saturday though, so it’s plausible. He opens the message and leaves you on read instead.
Earlier this morning, you were certain Yunho must have completely tired himself out after sleeping with you because he failed to wake up when your alarms went off. You make a mental note that it only takes him cumming once to make him go comatose (and maybe a little wine to boot). You had left his place with no ill intentions, and your message was truthful. So, when you get left on read by him, it ignites a small flame of insecurity in you. You’re never one to double-text a man, but considering this is something you put a great amount of effort into getting to happen, you put your pride aside when you don't get a reply by the next day.
[Y/N: Wondering if you want to try a new restaurant after work tomorrow… Let me know if you’re interested!]
To your surprise, Yunho replies that he’s too busy. He doesn’t offer to reschedule for a better day, which isn’t like him. Instead of taking it too seriously and replying something disheartened, you let him know that you understand and to let you know if anything changes. He opens this message and doesn’t reply. You try again on Tuesday. This time, your inquiry is more succinct, no fluff.
  [Y/N: Are you free Wednesday?]
He answers this similarly to the last attempt, maintaining that he’s too busy to see you that day as well. However, this text is more curt than the last. When you cave in and ask him which days he’s not busy, he leaves you on read, again.
[Y/N: Do you have a free moment to talk then?]
Yunho doesn’t open this text altogether, and the disgruntlement this stirs within you lingers in your system all day, even when you decide to go out with your friends to clear your mind.
Throughout his class with you the following day, you endure Yunho’s eyes practically boring into you at various points in time. It’s like an itch that can’t be scratched, nagging at your scalp while you keep your head downcast towards your laptop. Thoroughly, as distractions do, it keeps you on edge and unfocused throughout the whole lecture. It doesn’t help that Yeosang is out today, so you feel alone even surrounded by so many people.
At some point, during a quiet moment of everyone completing an individual assignment he had handed out, you glance up over the screen of your laptop and catch his attentive eyes gazing back. He gnaws on the nail of this thumb as he usually does when his brain is on overdrive, his eyes calmly lingering on the fixation of all his thoughts. Eventually, he turns them away and decides to focus on something else irrelevant involving his phone. Anything to take you off of his mind.
You quietly snicker to yourself and roll your eyes. So, he can play on his phone just fine during class but can’t find the time to text you and talk? Men will be men… If he just wanted to sleep with you and leave at that, he could at least tell you, you brood. You try not to let it get to you, but it’s hard to focus on anything for the last half hour of class. You don’t bother sticking around after and instead, preoccupy yourself by striking up a conversation with another acquaintance on the way out of the doors. Yunho notices the way you act like he doesn’t exist while leaving and it makes him a bit bitter. He knows it’s irrational, but you’ve really done a number on him, so he can’t help it.
On Thursday, you’re sick of the games altogether. Being the super sleuth you were at the beginning of this mess, you knew when Yunho typically went to his office in between classes to get grading done that he couldn’t do throughout the day. So, when you finish your mathematics class, you pack up your things quickly, knowing he should be roaming this same hall in very little time. There’s one thing–or person, you suppose–that you didn’t account for in this plan.
“You’re terrible at covering hickeys, you know,” Hongjoong chides, eyeing your messy job at applying makeup to your neck.
To be fair to yourself, you hadn’t realized Yunho had sucked one onto your skin the night you both slept together, and the dark blotch was too annoying to deal with every single day. You bruise too easily and they don’t go away fast enough. Admittedly, you had slacked off on the cover-up today. You chalk it up to secretly being in Fight Club, which you remind him, the number rule is to never talk about Fight Club! That, of course, was not a good enough reason for Hongjoong, and you regret that you didn’t acknowledge beforehand he would surely grill you endlessly about your recreational pastimes.
“Okay seriously, I just wore my choker too tight yesterday and it pinched my neck, that's all,” you explain as he quickly follows you out of the classroom. He squints at you with skeptical eyes, as if he is not believing any of the piping hot shit you’re serving him on a platter. Phase two was to gaze at him with winsome eyes, ones he was definitely familiar with. They always worked on Yeosang, but Hongjoong was harder to subdue.
“Don’t.”
“Joong, I’m telling you, there’s nothing more for me to answer here.”
You employ a small pout to boot.
“And you think I believe that?”
“I think you should believe it.”
He rolls his eyes in annoyance. Meanwhile, your eyes inconspicuously search for Yunho in the sea of classmates flooding the hallway; there was a very important conversation you had hyped yourself up to finally have with him. One that surely would not be done if it didn’t get done today, at this very moment. That would obviously fail to happen if Hongjoong kept pestering you with his concerns. Suddenly, your eyes spot the tail end of Yunho’s styled hair turning the corner and leaving the hallway. Goddammit!
“Joong, I really gotta go,” you say frantically and secure your backpack onto your back. His lips open slightly in puzzlement, but there’s nothing he can say before you’re already shoving people out of the way to make it through the hallway to follow him to his office.
You take the stairs while he takes the elevator to waste some time; hopefully, he'll be set up and comfortable by the time you get to his floor. When you make it to his office, he’s indeed already seated and filtering through sheets of work from students during the last class. You don’t bother knocking before entering; he hadn’t afforded you the comfort of manners lately, so neither would you.
Honestly, had anyone else burst into his office so unannounced like this, he might've cussed them out by accident. But before he can get any words out, you can see the physical shift from annoyance to puzzlement wash over his face as he realizes it’s you, then, genuine dread graces his face before downcasting his gaze.
“I need to talk to you,” you insist, “Now.”
He’s having a hard time even meeting your eyes when you’re speaking and it’s pissing you off tremendously.
“I’m a bit busy right now,” he sighs, now in the process of looking through his desk for a pen that works. “It’ll have to wait for another time.”
You ignore him entirely, “Why are you avoiding me, Yunho?”
“I’m not avoiding you,” Yunho quickly objects. “I’m just–”
“You’ve blown me off twice this week already,” you counter. “Now I can’t even come see you at your office?”
Yunho puts his head in his hands and tries to collect his thoughts. He’s too sensitive to handle this conversation with no preparation beforehand. Then again, the longer he keeps isolating, the longer he’s going to keep feeling like shit. He can hear the undertone of hurt in your words, but he’s only doing what’s best for you, right?
“The least you could do is give me a real reason,” you continue. He finally lifts his head and meets your frustrated eyes. “Just give me a real reason to and I’ll fuck-off all you want.”
“____, that night was a mistake,” he tells you simply. The look in his eyes says otherwise. You know he’s lying but it still feels like a punch in the gut.
“A mistake?”
“It’s something that shouldn’t have happened, and it was inappropriate of me to do that with you. Let’s just forget about it and move on, please.”
You furrow your brows in agitation, “You really feel that way?”
“I do,” he murmurs, eyes falling back to the papers in front of him. He visibly hesitates for the briefest moment before picking up his pen and resuming his grading. This feeling of rejection hurts a little more than usual. Why do you feel like a failure? Why do you feel like a fuck-up? Maybe it’s because of the effort you put into this man, unlike many others. You stand there in his doorway uncomfortably silent until you find it in yourself to offer some final words.
“We’re both adults, Yunho,” you remind him in a voice that airs on the more serious side of yourself. He’s never heard you sound such a way with him. “No one has to know what two grown adults do in their free time. And you don’t owe anyone any explanations.”
When he doesn’t look up from his paperwork anymore, you finally leave and gently close the door behind you.
Nearly a week after that day, your phone begins to ring while you’re out at a bar with friends. Yeosang’s nosy eyes catch the name on the screen and he gives you an incredulous look. His name still has a heart beside it and you haven’t updated him on anything regarding Yunho since telling him that you both were texting each other outside of class.
“What is he doing calling you at 9 PM, miss?” he teases as you move your phone to your lap, “Booty call?”
“Would you like to ask him yourself?” you snort.
“Boo, why can I never know anything–”
“Oh but when I mention the obvious hickey, I’m imagining things, huh?” Hongjoong interjects with narrowed eyes when he overhears you both bickering. “Who’s the mystery man?”
“It’s nobody,” both you and Yeosang say in unison.
Hongjoong quirks a brow at how you both are gazing at him with matching smiles, suspiciously. He lets it go quickly and instead butts into Mingi and his girlfriend’s conversation. By the time you glance at your phone, Yunho’s call has already gone fully unanswered. Subsequently, you chose not to return the call later when you’re done and home. You didn’t necessarily want to talk to someone who called such an intimate moment with you a mistake. And especially not intoxicated. If he wants to talk to me that bad, he’d just send whatever he needs to say in a text, you tell yourself. But, of course, those texts don’t come. Yunho doesn’t know how to express himself like that over message. However, after getting wasted, it takes everything within you not to text him first in a fit of overwhelming horniness. What’s the worst that could come from letting him know that you’re craving the feeling of that thick cock of his splitting you open, or how maybe this time you should test out your gag reflex? Yeosang knows you well enough to take your phone from you after a certain amount of shots, so you don’t get that opportunity anyway. God bless your best friend.
A couple of days later, you still find yourself unable to let things go. How can you when Yeosang brings it up any time you speak alone? For someone so sure you were making a huge mistake, he sure is desperate for the tea. It’s like he’s your frontline cheerleader (which he usually is anyway). If he found out you both fucked, surely he’d lose his mind.
“You can’t keep me in the dark, I’m still dying to know how much progress you’re making with Mr. Jeong after seeing him call you that night,” Yeosang pleads, “Have you both met up in private off of campus yet?”
“That’s classified info,” you state and try to stifle your subsequent laughter when you hear him grumble. You still hadn’t found it within yourself yet to tell him that your plan had failed. “You’ll know by if I pass this class or not.”
“Just a little hint, please? I’m on my knees.”
“Progress is being made, Yeo,” you disclose in a sing-song voice. Surely a little white lie wouldn’t hurt in the meantime, “He’s a very good conversationalist, you know. With that deep voice of his, and especially late at night.”
Yeosang groans in annoyance, “You’re killing me ____, I’m too curious! You didn’t entertain a single man at the bar, something juicy has to be happening.”
You debate on at least telling him about the extra study sessions you and Yunho had been having before things were soiled, the innocent stuff that he could gush and tease you over. But, just as you’re about to say something, he cuts you off unknowingly.
“Shit, Mingi’s calling. Le’me call you back,” Yeosang groans, and you offer a hum of affirmation before the line clicks. Maybe it’s for the best that you had been interrupted before you put your foot in your mouth.
You quickly fill the silence by shuffling one of your ‘Doing Chores’ playlists and focusing your mind on cooking the remainder of your dinner. A couple of minutes later, the chime of your phone interrupts your music. You continue to focus on stirring while your other hand carelessly presses the answer option.
“That was quick,” you giggle.
“Felt like forever to me,” a familiar, deep voice replies. You freeze and glance over to see Yunho’s name on the screen of your phone in place of your best friend’s.
  Fuck.
“Good evening, Mr. Jeong,” you reply instead. “I thought you were someone else, my apologies.”
“Have we really already reverted back to the formalities?” he sighs and his voice already sounds a bit defeated.
You roll your eyes, “I’m a bit preoccupied right now. So unless you’d like to discuss my class work, I don’t have time to entertain this.”
“Just give me five minutes, please.”
You turn off the stove and snatch up your phone before ambling to your bedroom.
“Spit it out already, Yunho.”
“I can’t stop thinking about you ____,” he admits.
Hearing you say his first name makes him feel a smidge better, even if it’s in irritation. He wonders if you can feel his heart pounding through the speaker or the way it makes his fingers tremble while holding the phone. “I was just scared, you have to understand that at least. I told you I’ve never done that kind of thing before, ever.”
“Thought it was a mistake–”
“I only said that because you left without saying anything. I thought you regretted it!”
“I literally told you why I did that, you decided to not believe me apparently,” you counter, voice laced with the slightest bit of frustration as you sit on your bed. Then you add in a mutter, “Instead of talking with me like an adult.”
There’s a long moment of silence. He doesn’t hang up though, so neither do you. You stare at the timer under his name, continuing to count up seconds full of emptiness.
“I’m really sorry,” Yunho finally sighs. “I said a lot of things I didn’t mean. I was just scared.” You remain silent and it eats at his confidence slowly. He’s desperate and doesn’t really care if it shows at this point, so he goes on to fill the silence again, “You were right, we’re adults. It’s not anybody else’s business what happens outside of campus. That’s why I’m trying to fix things now. Please.”
You sigh heavily while stroking your temples. This conversation is not something you had prepared yourself for, but the desperation in his voice is hitting you right in the gut. You know he’s being sincere, but it’s just hard to make yourself that vulnerable as well. You both know the truth is that it’s not okay, none of this is. It’s all extremely inappropriate. What you are doing with each other could ruin both of your lives if found out before you graduate. It’s risky; and yet, you still find yourself saying a sentence you definitely shouldn’t be saying:
“Listen, I genuinely like you Yunho.”
“And I genuinely like you too, ____. So let me take you on a proper date,” he says a little too hastily, but he can’t stop himself from the excitement that bubbles inside of him, stemming solely from you even reciprocating his feelings, “And not just a dinner like usual, I mean something thoughtful.”
“Something thoughtful…” you repeat after him, accidentally punctuating it with a giggle at how foolish the whole situation seems. “Are you serious about that?”
“Absolutely,” he assures you, “Only if you want to, of course.”
You sigh and smile to yourself at how heartfelt he sounds. Sure, there are millions of ways this could go extremely wrong, but you decide to ignore those thoughts and take him up on his offer. If you were one to listen to the better part of your judgment, you wouldn’t have gotten yourself into this situation in the first place. It would be a shame to let that work you put in go to waste just because of a little hiccup in the road. Besides, Yunho was surely the best fuck you had received in quite some time. There was plenty of time through the rest of the semester to explore that side of him again as well. The conversation ends with you both agreeing to meet with each other in a few days, Yunho promising to make it enjoyable even though it’ll be discrete.

A Broken Sort of Normal, Part 14
WC: 2416, Masterpost CW: Panic attack
Endless, convoluted Uno games aside (really, who added tarot cards to Uno?), getting to know Wally’s friends was good. Danny liked them and hanging out with them was easier than he thought it would be, but he felt a little bad every time. Whenever he was there they had to keep masks on and that had to suck. They started dressing down, like Wally did, but it was always masks on for the heroes that wore them. They insisted it wasn’t an issue, but Danny made sure to sometimes have obligations that came up at the same time. He wanted to give them the chance to hang out together as themselves, without the hero suits.
Danny knew how important that was.
After several months and a bit of stumbling, it all found a rhythm. Danny had date nights and nights with the Titans. He also had nights out with coworkers or at the game store. That wasn’t to say it was all easy. Setting up the Justice League Response Team was hard, sometimes impossible seeming, work. There were arguments and issues and more red tape than Danny thought possible. His real job was also exhausting at times. Being a field medic meant dealing with injured and dead which never got easier, though he was grateful to have Wally to go to on the worst days. And then, of course, there was the lightning incident.
It really wasn’t his best moment, in his opinion.
Wally was so excited.
“Come on, come on!” he said as he dragged Danny by the hand. He had been lying in ambush to snag Danny right outside of the door of meeting room B3, otherwise known as the Response Team Lair. (They had been encouraged, repeatedly, to stop calling it a lair. Apparently that a bit too villainous for the comfort of some heroes.)
“What’s the hurry?” Danny asked, purposefully dragging his feet a little just to watch Wally bounce up and down impatiently.
“I’ve been working on a new power! I’ve really gotten it down and I want to show you. So come,” Wally pulled at Danny’s arm, “on already!”
Danny laughed and stopped fighting Wally, who almost stumbled with their sudden movement forward.
“Are we going to a training room then?” Danny asked. While over the months, the main response team planners had gained a lot of freedom throughout the Watchtower, there were still a number of areas they either weren’t allowed or weren’t supposed to go without supervision and the training rooms was one of those. Danny had been a few times with the Titans, but usually it was just to grab someone for a game or a night at Wally’s place.
“Yep! No one is stupid enough to risk the Big Bat’s wrath practicing powers like that outside the training room and this is a new power. I’m going to keep you in the observation room and everything just to be safe.”
“My hero,” Danny said with feeling.
“Always,” Wally replied with a grin. “And speaking of heroes, N is going to be there running the sim for me. Are you up to a meal after? Just something casual at my place with the usual peep?”
Danny thought about that honesty. He knew that Wally was asking because he actually wanted to know if Danny could handle being that social tonight. It was still hard sometimes. “Yeah, it would be good to see them. It’s been a few weeks with how busy things have been.”
“More like several.”
“Several?” Danny asked. He felt chastised even though he knew that’s not what Wally was trying to do. “Well, then definitely yes. I hadn’t realized it had been so long.”
“It’s okay, they all understand. You’re really in the thick of it trying to get the last things done for the response team. We all get being busy.”
“Yeah,” Danny said and let out a huff of air. “I guess you would. But a nice night with friends sounds good. Just please tell me there have been no more rules added to Uno.”
“I can make no such promises,” Wally said with a grin as they stepped through a door. “Nightwing! I have your observer for you.”
“No, not the Danny Fenton? I must be seeing things! Flash, take me to medical, have me tested,” Nightwing said, swooning into Wally’s arms.
“Yeah yeah, I get it, it’s been a little long since we saw each other,” Danny groused, but he couldn’t help the smile at the dramatics.
“It has,” Nightwing said from where he was still draped in Wally’s arms. That really couldn’t be comfortable, but Nightwing looked just as at ease as if he was standing normally. “But are we on for dinner tonight?”
“We are.”
“Yes!” Nightwing said, springing up. “Okay speedy, let’s get this show on the road! I’ll message the others while you warm up. Just signal to me when you’re ready.”
“Sure!” Wally chirped. He pecked Danny on the cheek before he sped off.
In a, well, flash, Wally was on the other side of the thick, blast proof window and stretching.
Danny shifted his weight from foot to foot. “I haven’t ignored him too badly, right? I’ve just been so caught up in finalizing everything. Not that that’s an excuse. I can, like, set alarms for myself. My days have been all thrown off not going to my actual job this last bit…”
“Hey, Danny, no,” Nightwing said. “Would he like to have seen you a little more? Probably, but it’s not like he hasn’t and you two text plenty. He gets that you’re busy, we all do. He’s been good, really.”
“Okay, good,” Danny said, making sure to smile for Nightwing. “I just… don’t want to do wrong by him, you know?”
“Why do you think we all like you so much?” Nightwing teased and bumped their shoulders together. “You’ve been good for him.”
“He’s been better for me, believe me.”
“Luckily not a competition,” Nightwing said. “You really good for a dinner with the group tonight? If you need some time alone with Flash, I can’t say the others are busy and make up an emergency.”
Danny shook his head. “No, dinner with everyone, well, everyone who can make it really does sound nice. They’re making us take the weekend off anyways, so I can just stay over and spend tomorrow with him too..”
“He’d like that I’m sure,” Nightwing agreed. He pulled out his phone typed for a bit until Wally’s voice came through the intercom.
“All good here!”
“You still want the Sigma B pattern?”
“Yeah! That let’s me build up best.”
Nightwing nodded and pulled some things up on the computer before counting down for the training to start. It was fun to be able to sit back and actually watch Wally in action for once instead of having to work. The other really was something.
“The regular training bots have to be taken out in certain ways. Flash is going for pressing one of the buttons,” Nightwing explained. “Training for precise hits helps us heroes who use hand to hand not use too much force on regular people.”
“And keeps the repair budget down?”
Nightwing laughed. “That too. Okay, so he should be getting close now, watch the sphere on the wall there.”
“Close to wha—” Danny swallowed the last part of his question as his mind blanked.
His head banged against something metal and cool. A locker. He was in the locker room. When had he gotten into the locker room?
Someone reached for him and Danny jerked back again, pressing into the little gap between the metal locker and the wall that he had squeezed into. Wally, Wally was paused, hand outstretched. Wally was, Wally had— Danny squeezed his tightly closed so not to see the look of hurt on Wally’s face. It was just that… he swore he could feel still feel the electricity buzzing along Wally’s fingertips.
Wally had shot lightning out of his hands.
“Just… I don’t… don’t touch me right now, please?” Danny whispered.
“Okay, I yeah, okay babe,” Wally said. He sounded heartbroken.
There was some shuffling, footsteps heading away, and the whoosh of the door.
Danny bit his lip to choke back the noise wanting to pull its way out of his throat, but that only served to make his breath catch and stutter in his chest.
“Hey, Danny,” a new voice said later; an hour, a minute? Danny didn’t know. It took Danny another moment to place it as Nightwing. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to try to touch you. I’m just worried about your breathing there. If I count, can you follow along with me?”
Danny didn’t have it in him to nod, but did what he could to follow along. The logical, trained part of his mind knew that even if he didn’t feel like he could breathe, he had to try for even breaths. It would get easier, nothing was actually wrong with his lungs.
“There you go. Do you think you can open your eyes now?”
Spots bloomed across his vision from how tightly he had been squeezing his eyes shut. Danny blinked them away.
“You’re doing so good. Can you talk?”
“Sorry,” Danny rasped.
“Hey, no apologizing. I want you to just keep breathing. I know you’re with me now.”
Danny managed a nod, let his eyes close again as he focused on breathing. When he was feeling a bit more stable, he moved out of where he had tucked himself away.
Nightwing smiled at him. “How about we get you out of here?”
Danny gave a hysterical little laugh. “What, no breakdowns in the Justice League locker room?”
“Oh, no, we’ve all had breakdowns in the locker rooms,” Nightwing said. He got an arm behind Danny and pulled him up. “But that’s how I know it’s not that comfortable. Are you up to Zetaing?”
“As long as you don’t expect me to think,” Danny said as he leaned, helplessly and heavily, into Nigthwing’s support. “Fuck I hate panic attacks.”
Nightwing easily took the weight and started them moving. “The adrenaline crash after them is really something, huh?”
“Yeah, hate it,” Danny agreed. He was aware of them moving through the halls of the Watchtower, but everything was still a bit of a blur.
They stopped near the Zeta tubes where Nightwing grabbed a little bundle. Danny frowned at the earplugs he was handed.
“Your senses are going to be off and the noise of the city might trigger you again. Put these on,” Nightwing said, settling sunglasses on Danny’s nose, “and the earplugs in.”
Danny gave a little nod and did as he was told. Then he obediently tucked into the hoodie he’d been handed. He tucked his nose into it. It smelled like Wally. Nightwing tugged the hood up and moved them to the portal. It wasn’t until they were piling into a taxi that Danny realized that Nightwing put clothing over his suit too. Danny glanced away from Nightwing’s face, now clad only in dark sunglasses.
“Wally’s place?” Danny asked, finally realizing where they were when Nightwing opened the door to the apartment.
He shrugged. “I don’t know where you live and I figured you’d be comfortable here. At least I assume the freak out wasn’t about about Wally as a whole person?”
“A— gods no,” Danny said. He set the sunglasses on Wally’s little side table inside the door. The earplugs got stuffed in a pocket before he rubbed at his face as he made his way to the couch. He felt more terrible every passing moment. “How upset is Wally?”
“He’s not upset at you.”
“Yeah, but…”
The couch dipped on the other side. “Pretty upset. He hates that he hurt you.”
“He didn’t hurt me. I just,” Danny dropped his hands with a sigh and was left blinking at an unmasked Nightwing.
“Hi, Dick Grayson.”
“Oh great, now I know more heroes’ secret IDs. Is Batman going to come and boomerang me for this?”
“Baterang.”
“Baterang, really?”
“I was nine,” Dick said with a little shrug.
Danny snorted. “Don’t pretend you still don’t think it’s a great name, Dick.”
“I can’t tell if you’re insulting me or calling me my name.”
“Can’t it be both?”
Dick chuckled and finally sunk back into the couch. “Good to see this hasn’t slowed down your sass any.”
“I’m told it’s one of my best features,” Danny said with a laugh. The sound was still slightly unhinged sounding, he knew, but he was settling down at least. “Thanks for, you know.”
“It’s no biggie, really. We’ve all had them. Is having Wally close going to set you off again or…?”
“No, I don’t think so? I should be good?” He hoped he would be at least.
Nightwing, Dick, eyed him for a moment before texting something on his phone. A second later Wally was standing in front of the couch.
“You’re not supposed to use your powers out of uniform,” Danny reprimanded on instinct.
“Yeah, fuck that. Are you okay? I’m so sorry. I didn’t even think about the lightning freaking you out because of your accident. That’s what it was, right? Babe—” Wally reached out for him and then pulled himself back.
Danny smiled, sadly, and held open his arms. Wally basically tackled him in a hug.
“I am so, so sorry.”
“Hey, it’s fine,” Danny said, tucking himself against Wally. “I mentioned what the accident was, what, once? Months and months ago? Of course you didn’t think about it.”
“I should have.”
“You can’t remember everything, Wally.”
“I can if it’s about you.”
A flash of a camera went off. Dick lowered his phone unrepentantly. “You two are such saps. Should I call off the others, order you some food, and get out of your hair?”
Danny knew they would, they would all change their plans if they thought that’s what he needed right then. But… “No. No, I think… I think people would be good right now. Better than quiet and getting in my own head, you know?”
“Yeah, I do,” Dick said with far too much familiarity.
Danny felt his phone buzzing with the group chat messages Dick was sending. A little smile tugged at his lips, despite everything. He tucked his face into the crook of Wally’s neck.
“You going to be okay?” Wally asked, voice barely a whisper.
“Of course I will. I have you, hero.”
---
AN: He has Wally, everything will be okay, right? 🥺
I know I know, every identity reveal comes after a panic attack. That's just Danny's sort of luck in this fic! But hey, he's got some good friends out of it!
Hope you enjoyed it and stay delightful, darlings!

It was news that Y/n didn’t know how to handle. She was already dealing with the emotions that she was now the only living member of her family and she was to be coordinated as Queen within a few days. Other royals were already on their way to the castle for her father’s burial.
Usually, the next in line for the throne would have months before taking the throne after the death of the previous. But it seemed the Kingdom had already seen their king as dead for a few years now and this would just be giving her an official title as Queen. Even a few other kingdoms could swear she was already queen and seemed elated that she was returning and taking the throne upon her return.
“Princess,” Changbin tried to grab her attention as she paced her room.
     “I can’t take the thrown,” Y/n said, “I can’t!”
“Hey,” Changbin caught her wrist and stopped her pacing, pulling her into his chest, “Calm down.”
Changbin moved her to her bed and sat her down, kneeling in front of her and taking her hands, “Look at me darling,” Changbin said.
Y/n met his eyes and started tearing up, “I’m pregnant…”
“You are. And one of us is the father.” Changbin’s voice was calm, hoping to keep her calm.
“Oh my, I don’t know who the father is,” the tears streamed down her face. Changbin stood and sat next to her, pulling her into a hug on his lap.
“I’ve got you, darling,” Changbin whispered in her ear as he rubbed her back. Y/n cried into his shoulder.
Changbin held her for hours until she stopped crying and was just tired. Her legs were thrown over his lap as she lay sideways against his chest.
“Y/n,” Changbin called to her as she sniffled in response.
A knock at the door stopped him from continuing. It wasn’t a small knock like the castle staff or advisors gave. It was urgent. Y/n didn’t have time to tell them to come in before the seven other vampires spilled into the room.
“Apologies your Highness!” One of her maids’ voices came, “I told them to wait but they insisted on—”
“It’s alright,” Y/n assured her before planting her legs back on the floor and standing from the vampire’s lap. Changbin kept an arm around her waist as the door closed.
“What happened?” Felix questioned as he moved to stand in front of her, cupping her cheeks
“We heard you crying when we arrived,” Seungmin added
“You know how I hadn’t been feeling well since before leaving the manor?” Y/n asked
“It has to do with your sickness?” Jeongin was worried
     Y/n took a shaky breath, “I’m pregnant.”
The seven of them looked shocked. None of them truly thought they could get her pregnant.
“I’m pregnant, I don’t know which one of you is the father, my father just died and I’m taking the throne in a matter of days,” The more she spoke, the more the tears started again.
Felix was quick to pull her in for a hug.
“Chan, you’re the greater vampire, did you know this was possible?” Seungmin asked
“Not for a human to get pregnant by a vampire. It’s more likely for two vampires to have a child,” Chan stated as Felix sat on the bed with the crying royal.
Y/n managed to find the energy to forbid any staff from coming to her room the rest of the day and evening as they all sat in her room, trying to figure out who the father would be. Unless they were delivering food.
They had to ask the maid who planted the possibility of pregnancy in her head if she knew how long it took for a baby to form. Once they had gotten that information, it was a matter of backtracking.
The week they were talking about was a busy week. It was one of the few weeks that there was barely any time to be intimate. Y/n remembered only being with three of them that week. Minho, Changbin, and Seungmin .
“It has to be one of them then,” Jisung stated
“Wouldn’t it narrow down to two? remember Minho coming here to collect the debt money at the beginning of the week and then he was gone from the manor the rest of the week?” Hyunjin asked
“Y/n started coming with me on my trips here. She would stay in the carriage while I collected the money. Speaking of; the debt is fully paid off. They gave me the last of it when we arrived. King had some money stowed away.”
“Can’t get rid of you all now even if I wanted to.” Y/n sighed, it did not surprise her that her father had hidden money. But she had already planned on not leaving the vampires once the debt was paid and she had told them that the day after she talked to Chan a week ago.
“I remember pulling out when Y/n and I were together that week,” Seungmin said
“I definitely came inside,” Changbin stated
     “So did I,” Minho added
“So it’s between Minho and Changbin,” Chan said
Y/n laid back on her bed. Exhausted from the thinking, her brain was going crazy and she had a million thoughts running through her head.
“Y/n, let’s get some air,” Jisung insisted before pulling her off the bed. Y/n leaned against him as he walked them to her balcony. Opening the door and stepping outside with her. The sky was dark now, she didn’t even know how long they had been deliberating who knocked her up.
But the night air felt good on her face and in her lungs. She placed her hands on the ledge as Jisung closed the door behind him. The vampire walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“It doesn’t matter which one of us is truly the father.” He said as he kissed her shoulder
“It does for me. I’m carrying a child out of wedlock and sleeping with eight vampires,” Y/n sighed.
“If you weren’t about to be crowned Queen, would it matter?” Jisung asked as he turned her to him
“It would. I’ve known women who are looked down on for having a bastard child. As a royal, I can’t imagine—“
“Hey,” Jisung cut her off, “Do you want to have this child with us?”
     “All of you?” Y/n asked
“Y/n, we all love you. If someone were to run a stake through our hearts or set us ablaze, we would die happy because we got to love you.”
“How do you know the others feel like that?”
“We talk when you’re asleep. But my point is, even though that baby only technically has one of us as a father, all eight of us are the father. We would raise them like they are all our baby.”
“I love you too. All of you,” Y/n teared up as Jisung placed a kiss on her lips
“Whatever the outcome, we’re here for you.”
“Thank you Jisung,” Y/n smiled at him
“Of course. Ready to go back in?”
Y/n nodded before Jisung took her hand and brought them back inside. Y/n took her place back on her bed while the others kept up their discussion until they had finally concluded.
     Minho was the father.
The only worry Y/n had now was hiding the pregnancy. Lord knows the uproar it would cause.
“What if you married?” Hyunjin asked when Y/n started worrying again.
     “Which one?” Y/n asked
“Why not all of us?” Felix suggested
“Princess, you don't have to,” Chan interjected, “You are still human compared to us. I don't think it would be fair—”
“What if you turned me?” Y/n asked, all eight looking at her with wide eyes.
     “Y/n that's a big ask…” Changbin said
“But it's a win for all of us. We get to be together for eternity, none of you watch me grow old, I don't lose any of you.”
“Yes but you’d be giving up your kingdom, you’ve seen just how much they hate us. If you turn, they’ll turn on you.” Minho pointed out.
“Let’s call it a night,” Chan said before the discussion could go on any further.
Everyone agreed and Chan stepped outside onto the balcony. Y/n sent the others to the guest rooms before grabbing her robe and slipping it on, joining the vampire outside.
     “Chan…” Y/n called
“Sorry Princess,” Chan sighed, “Just a lot to think about.”
“I apologize for bringing up me becoming a vampire.” Y/n stood next to him against the railing.
“Don't apologize. I’d be lying if I said I'd never thought about it before,” Chan confessed and pulled her in front of him, arms moving around her frame
     “You have?” Y/n asked
“For months now,” Chan replied, “Call me selfish but I never want to let you go but you should enjoy your human life.”
“If something ever happens to me where my life is on the line, promise me you’ll turn me?”
“Promise. Now let's get you to bed.”
     “Stay with me tonight?”
     “Of course my love.”
Chan brought them inside and got her under the covers before joining her. Wrapping her in his arms and falling into a tranquil sleep with her.
Much needed as the next few days were a blur. Between the burial of her father which few spoke at, to the castle planning the coronation to the prep she had to do on her end, it was hectic. The staff was glad she was back though.
The vampires tried to stay out of the way as best they could. Catching stolen glances in the hallways and seeing her at night. Sometimes stealing her away for a few minutes for some kisses, which helped calm her down each time.
On the day coronation, it was impossible to see her alone. Rather they waited with everyone else that had come to the castle to witness the beginning of a new reign.
Chatter filled the room. Everyone had arrived early to try and get the best spot to witness the crowning. The eight managed to get near the throne and hold their spot.
At long last, the doors opened and the princess stepped in. Everyone fell silent as she made the journey to the throne. A priest from the church waited as two staff members held pillows holding the crown and the sceptre.
A few murmurs were heard of how beautiful she looked as she made her way down to the throne. As she got up to the stairs to the platform the throne sat upon, one of the advisers was waiting to escort her up. The two exchanged a smile as she took his outstretched hand.
Before he started to ascend the stairs with her, he quickly pulled out a blade and stabbed her lower stomach. Screams were heard across the room and panic broke. The adviser dropped her hand as Y/n slowly swayed.
Changbin had caught her before she fell as the guards rushed towards the throne. Many people were shouting treason and to arrest the man. The advisor drew a sword and pointed to the guards. Daring them to try and attack.
“It was for the sake of the kingdom!” he yelled amidst the chaos, “the vampires were trying to lay claim to the throne and got her pregnant!”
His sword swung at Changbin and Y/n. The vampire moved them out of the way as Minho and his quick reflexes got the sword from him. Felix jumped to help bringing him to the ground as men, women, and children fled the room.
The adviser just laughed as the guards dragged him away. Changbin sat on the steps of the platform with Y/n in his arms as the others crowded around.
“It’s a silver blade,” Seungmin said after attempting to pull it out, the hilt burning him.
“Handkerchief?” Felix asked as Hyunjin pulled one from his coat.
“This might hurt princess,” Felix warned her. Changbin and Jeongin offered her each a hand to squeeze. She held tight as Felix wrapped the cloth around the hilt and grabbed it. Gently pulled the sword out. Blood soaking the fabric of the dress.
The vampires looked away as best they could from the blood but it still fueled their slight hunger.
“It cut deep,” Felix said as he finally got the blade out and put pressure on the open wound.
“I only hear one heartbeat now,” Jisung said
“He aimed to kill…” A tear slipped out of Y/n’s eye. Minho turned and Jisung went to handle him before his anger got the better of him.
“Princess,” Jeongin kneeled next to her and wiped her tears, “We need you to calm down before it gets worse. There is a lot of blood loss.”
“How?” Y/n asked as more tears came down her face
“Y/n, do you remember what I said the other night on the balcony?” Chan asked as he kneeled in front of her
“If my life was on the line–”
“I promised I would turn you.” Chan finished.
Chan was the only one of them that hadn’t bitten her. For the sake that his bite turned people into vampires. The people in town who willingly gave their blood to the eight would often sit and allow one of the nurses or doctors to take blood from them and then store it in vials for Chan. He didn’t want to risk turning someone on accident.
“Are you sure about this Chan?” Changbin asked
“Yes,” Chan replied as he moved the princess into his arms, “Are you sure this is what you want?” Chan asked once more
“Yes,” Y/n confirmed meekly. Blood loss getting to her
The seven stood and watched. All of them had been bitten by Chan to be where they were. Chan took a deep breath as his fangs revealed themselves. Y/n tilted her head to the side for him as he sank his fangs into her. Y/n gasped and grabbed his jacket.
She couldn’t quite describe the difference between the others and Chan’s bite, but she knew there was one. She still felt an immense amount of pleasure and something in her seemed to change. When Chan pulled away, she still felt fatigued. But more in a hungry way.
Chan still kept a grip on her as he finished a blood vial from his jacket. He opened the cork and brought it to her lips. The warm liquid spilled over her tongue. It was the sweetest thing she’d tasted at that point.
     “Feeling alright Princess?” Chan asked
     “Yeah,” Y/n smiled
The rest rushed over and checked on her. Once the rest had confirmed with their own eyes that she was okay, they all hugged the other two. A few cried that she was okay. She was alive— kinda. But they didn’t lose her, and she was with them for eternity now.

Never Judge a Film By Its Cover

⋈ Wise is used to all kinds of people in both kinds of works, whether it’s helping a client in the hollows or approaching a customer to recommend a new tape they figured would be to their liking. No matter the person, he is able to adapt to their personality and knows that better than to judge a person by their looks. He has an eye for these kinds of things, picking up on the littlest details of his customers which makes him a great salesman when it comes to film options.
⋈ When he started taking an interest on one of the regular at the shop, he was thrown for a loop when he first laid his eyes on them. In a way, they reminded him of Ellen a bit, a very low energy personality who looked around the place with hooded eyes and a ‘Don’t approach me’ attitude. Their clothing choice was also interesting to say the least, wearing different monochromatic articles that could run from looking like a mess of nets and off-shoulder tops to high waisted skirts paired with long trench coat vibes.
⋈ Of course, the many times they come by they only view the tapes and even are with a group of friends from the looks, everyone being the complete opposite of what they seem like, cheerful and bubbly they stand out with a serious case of RBF. [Resting-Bitch-Face] But that makes him even more intrigued, who is this person and what are they like. How do they attract such bright people despite their gloomy-gothic approach? He figures this out one day when they come into his shop looking for something, walking out of the staff only room to find them at the counter.
“Oh, sorry for the wait. Could I help you with something?”
They only scratch at their cheek, eyes wandering away from Wise’s gaze before presenting a film in hand. “Uh, yeah. Could I rent out this tape?” He only looked down at the tape in question, the genre surprising him to say the least. “Oh sure. Just Oh~ Sweetie today?” The nervously nod, a faint blush painting their cheeks like dapped out watercolors. He rang it up, smiling to himself before handing over the tape.
“Alright, you’re all set. The return policy is usually a week from today, but feel free to drop by anytime before then. There’s a fee for late returns, but feel free to call the store if you have any questions. Thank you for your business.” Their eyes gleamed in excitement as they held the case in hand, Wise could almost see the sparkles emitting off of them before they waved him bye with a sheepish smile blessing his vision. Once out the store, he could only stare before smiling to himself again.
⋈ Since then, he is always greeting them while also discussing new films that would be to their liking. Mainly ranging from rom-coms to fantasy-adventure, he has gotten to knowing them to the point where they’ve become close friends. Wise enjoys their conversations as they always mention their favorite part of the tapes; he recommends them with childlike innocence, glowing brightly with a cheerful disposition. They invite him out sometimes when he’s clocked out for break, treating him to noodles or listening to some new records across the street. Another place they are a regular at, learning more about their interesting taste in music that fits their aesthetic.
He’s asked about your lifestyle once, giving him a nervous response while twiddling with your fingers. “Ah, well, I get that question a lot. I always had a fascination with gothic fashion and the aesthetic as a whole, so I wanted to express my love for the art form by wearing what I found comfortable. People are surprised when I mention that, but many people I’ve met say that it’s really cool, so I continue to express myself freely- sorry, I’m probably rambling now.” Your yapping slowing into a nonsensible muttering which Wise assures them that he doesn’t mind it one bit.
“Well, I think you're pretty- neat! It’s pretty neat, so I can’t argue with you on that.” He nodded along, seeing how they only skipped beside him with renewed confidence. “Thank you, Wise!”
⋈ Whenever he’s out and about, should he spot them in their usual circle or looming over a display alone, despite the aura they have hovering over them he still makes it a habit to call out to them. The moment before and after they spot him makes his heart flutter, how they look over with a subtle glare before perking up and grinning cheekily and waving him over. Really, it’s a sight to behold.
⋈ Maybe one day they’ll be more than friends, but neither of them would admit it. No number of soft touches and gentle smiles will push them to confess their little attraction to one another. So for now they’ll cuddle up on his bed while watching another film. As friends, yeah really close friends.

even then, you weren't sure if you'd make it home every week due to the ongoing live events every week. so, whenever you did have days off, you tried to enjoy them to their fullest.
the two of you had just gotten your drinks, and up until this point, the conversation had been focused on catching up on how work had been. even though you worked together, you rarely saw her due to your different schedules. gradually, the conversation shifted to your home lives and how you had been spending your off days.
“oh my god, wait.” liv chuckled, pulling out her phone and scrolling through it. “the other day I was working out, and kilo would not leave my side at all!” she exclaimed, turning her phone to show you a video.
you watched the video, laughing heartily as kilo, her dog, tried to mimic her workout moves, hopping around and occasionally getting in the way. the video also showed a moment where kilo licked her face.
liv laughed, trying to move away from him, but her attempts were in vain as she eventually gave in, hugging him tightly and showering him with kisses and hugs.
“that’s actually so adorable!” you remarked, still chuckling at the heartwarming video.
she smiled warmly, her eyes meeting yours for a moment before she looked back down at her phone, her fingers deftly scrolling through the screen. “I know! he’s such a sweetheart,” she exclaimed her eyes showing genuine affection.
she then turned her phone towards you again, this time displaying a heartwarming picture of them cuddled up on the couch, kilo nestled comfortably against her, both looking completely content and at peace.
“awww!” you exclaimed, your face lighting up with genuine delight. liv had a warm smile, before turning off her phone and placing it gently on the table. “I’ve always wanted a dog,” you admitted, before you took a sip of your coffee.
the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mingling with the soft murmur of conversations around you. liv leaned in slightly, her expression thoughtful.
she quirked an eyebrow as she also took a sip of her drink, “why don’t you get one?”
you sigh gently tracing the rim of your coffee cup with your index finger. “dom’s not really into the whole idea.”
she took a moment to pause, setting her cup down carefully on the table, her gaze flickering towards you once more. “really?” she asked, “he seems like a dog dad 100%”
you laugh softly, settling back into your chair with a sigh. “he just thinks that since we’re both constantly on the road and barely home, it would be too much to ask either his mom or my parents to take on the responsibility of watching it,” you explain, your shoulders lifting in a shrug of understanding.
yet, a part of you can’t help but wish he’d just give it a try.
liv nodded thoughtfully, genuinely listening to your words, “I can understand where he’s coming from,” she began, her voice gentle and reassuring. “but at the same time, I know that even with our schedules, having a dog could be a good thing.”
“a part of me understands him; we’re just so busy,” you say, pausing for a second to gather your thoughts. “but I feel like a fur baby would be so good for us.”
liv juts out her lip softly looking at you with a ‘awe’ face. "I totally get that," she says, her eyes meeting yours with a knowing look. "maybe the conversation is worth revisiting with dom.” liv shrugs taking another sip of her coffee and glances at the clock on the wall.
"ou come,” she said, “I wanted to stop by this little pet store I saw just down the street while I was driving here."
you both stand up, gathering your things. "okay, let’s go then."
the two of you walk out of the coffee shop together, continuing down the sidewalk and admiring the charming little shops set up along the street. “this street is so adorable, I can’t believe I’ve never been here before,” you tell her, a soft smile spreading across your face as you take in the surroundings.
you both slowly come to a stop, right in front of a small pet shop/adoption center. “I know, right?” she said, opening the door and causing the little bell to jingle. you followed after her.
“I’ll be right back.” liv said giving you a soft smile before she heads straight for the aisles, searching for the items she needs.
you take a moment to look around, noticing how the shop is much bigger than you expected. the air is filled with a mix of scents—
pet food, and a hint of something sweet, like treats baking in an oven.
the store is well-organized, with bright, colorful displays showcasing various pet supplies. there are shelves lined with toys, beds, and grooming tools, and aisles dedicated to different types of food and treats.
the walls were adorned with pictures of all the pets that had been adopted and their owners.
you look around the store, looking at all the cute little animals they had scattered around, you wander over to the adoption area.
the soft meows and barks immediately catch your attention. as you walk down the aisle you see a variety of dogs.
you stop in front of a kennel and notice a tag that reads "otto." he's an australian shepherd and border collie mix. as you kneel down to get a closer look, you can't help but feel a tug at your heart.
you smile at him as you hook your finger through the fence. otto immediately starts licking it.
"you're such a cute boy," you say, your heart melting a little more with each lick. a worker comes up from behind you.
“believe it or not, but otto’s been here longer than most of our other pets have.”
your smile falls slightly as you look up at the owner, still petting him through the cage. “really?”
the worker nods sympathetically. "yeah, he's a bit of a special case. he's incredibly sweet and so well behaved, but people just seem to overlook him."
you look back down at the dog who was still licking your fingers. “that’s so sad.”
you continue to gently stroke otto's fur, feeling a pang of sadness. "I can't believe no one has taken him home yet. he's perfect." the dog looks up with you with big, hopeful eyes.
the worker smiles warmly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "he is. we're really hoping someone will see what we see in him soon. he's such a special dog."
liv finds you in the adoption section, her arms filled with an assortment of pet supplies. "hey, I got what I came for," she says, giving you the heads-up that you guys could leave if you wanted to. her gaze falls on the black and white dog you're petting. "oh, who's this handsome guy?" she kneels down next to you, carefully placing her things on the floor before reaching through the fence to pet him as well.
"this is otto," you say, your voice filled with affection as you watch liv interact with him. "he's been here longer than most of the other pets. It's really surprising because he's seems like such a good boy."
liv's eyes soften as she continues to pet otto, her fingers gently scratching behind his ears. "aw, that's heartbreaking. I can't believe no one has taken him home yet, I mean he’s gorgeous.”
you inhaled deeply, closing your eyes for a brief second. liv looked at you, her gaze knowing and filled with understanding. after a moment you let out a soft whine. "I can't leave him here, liv," you admitted, opening your eyes and looking at her, your eyebrows furrowing and your eyes softening.
liv gave you a reassuring smile, her hand still gently petting otto. "I knew it," she said softly. "I could see it the moment you started talking about him."
you took another deep breath, feeling the weight of the decision. "I know dom said no pets, but otto, he just... he deserves a home, you know? and I don’t think I can leave him to spend another night here."
liv nodded, her smile growing. "me being an animal lover I say you should do it, but-“ she paused smirking. “if anybody asks I wasn’t with you.” the both of you burst into laughter.
you gave otto one last pet before standing up, sighing and looking at the worker. "I want to adopt him."
the worker’s eyes lit up with a mix of surprise and joy. "oh my! that's wonderful! I’ll get you started on the paperwork."
you gave otto one last look before you followed the worker to the front desk, liv gathered her things and joined you, her excitement evident. "I think you’re doing the right thing."
you nodded, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. "I hope so. I just want him to have a good home."
the worker handed you a stack of forms to fill out, and you began writing down your information, your mind racing with thoughts of how otto would fit into your life. you could already picture coming home to him after a long week.
you could only hope dom wouldn’t be to upset with you. liv leaned over, glancing at the forms. "how you holding up?”
you took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the decision you had just made. "I just hope dom won’t be too mad," you said, glancing at liv. "I mean, I adopted a dog behind his back when he’s made clear we’re too busy for one."
liv gave you a sympathetic look, her hand still gently petting otto. "I get it, but sometimes you just have to follow your heart," she said softly. "I think he’ll come around."
you nodded, trying to find comfort in her words. "I hope so, I think we can make it work."
liv nodded, “you definitely can,” before gasping suddenly. you looked towards her, confused. “can I please go pick out some toys, treats, and a cute comfy bed?”
you chuckled, shaking your head. “go ahead, I’m just gonna finish up the paperwork.” she squealed before leaving your side and disappearing into one of the aisles.
not long after liv left, you finished the paperwork. the worker handed you otto’s adoption certificate and a small bag of starter supplies. "thank you for giving otto a home. we can tell he’s going to be so happy with you. I’ll go get him.”
you nodded gratefully, smiling as you gazed over the adoption certificate. as the worker walked away, you glanced around the store, your mind racing with thoughts of how dom would react.
liv returned, her arms loaded with toys, treats, and a plush bed that looked perfect for otto. “look at all this stuff! he’s going to be so spoiled,” you said, grinning from ear to ear.
she smiled warmly, her eyes twinkling with joy. “yes, he is! and it’s all on his auntie liv.” liv carefully placed the items in the cart with a flourish, then turned to you with a reassuring pat on the back.
you shook your head, a mixture of gratitude and protest in your voice. “no, liv, I can pay—”
“ah ah—” she interjected, cutting you off mid-sentence. “take it as a welcome home gift for my godson.” her tone was playful but firm, leaving no room for argument.
you rolled your eyes, a smirk forming on your lips. “your godson, huh?” you asked teasingly, raising an eyebrow at her.
liv shrugged nonchalantly, but her smile grew even wider. “of course! someone has to spoil him rotten, and who better than me?” she winked at you, making it clear that she was thrilled to be part of this new chapter in your life.
you couldn’t help but laugh, feeling a wave of affection for your friend. “alright, alright. thank you, auntie liv. otto’s going to be one lucky pup with you around.”
the worker returned with otto, who wagged his tail excitedly as he saw you. he jumped up and down, and you couldn't help but smile widely as you bent down to pet him. "ready to go home, boy?" you asked, your voice filled with warmth and affection. otto barked in response.
meanwhile, liv took care of paying for all the items you had picked out for otto. With everything settled, you both walked out of the store, otto trotting happily beside you, his leash held loosely in your hand.
as you reached the parking lot, you and liv shared a quick hug and said your goodbyes, each heading to your cars.
you opened the backseat door and gently helped otto climb in, making sure he was comfortable. once he was settled, you closed the door and walked around to the front, sliding into the driver's seat.
after adjusting your seatbelt, you started the car and turned to look back at otto. "ready to go home?" you asked with a smile. otto responded by leaning forward and licking your face, making you laugh out loud. you turned back to the road and began the drive home.
you walk into yours and dom’s shared apartment, making your way to the spare room down the hall.
you set otto’s things up meticulously: his toys arranged neatly, his cozy bed in the corner, his crate positioned just right, and his food and water bowls filled and ready. once you're done, you sit down in the middle of the room, watching as otto sniffs around curiously before finally settling on your lap.
you pull out your phone, your heart racing with a mix of excitement and nervousness, and dial your mom's number.
"hey, mom!" you say enthusiastically, a wide smile spreading across your face as you see her appear on the screen.
"hey, honey! everything alright?" she asks gently, her voice full of warmth and concern.
"well, I kind of did something," you admit, turning the camera to show otto lounging comfortably on your lap.
her eyes light up immediately. "oh my goodness, he's adorable! what’s his name?" she asks, her excitement mirroring your own.
"his name is otto," you reply, smiling. “he’s an australian shepherd mixed with a border collie, and he’s the sweetest boy ever.” you purse your lips and place a soft kiss on the top of his head, then look back at your mom.
“I thought you and dom weren’t going to get a dog?” she says, her smile still on her face, clearly happy for you.
you wince slightly at the reminder. “we weren’t, but I was out at breakfast with liv, and she needed to pick up some stuff for her pets. It happened to be at an adoption center, and I just fell in love with him,” you explain, waiting for her to scold you.
to your surprise, your mom laughs warmly, the sound filling you with a sense of relief. “well, sometimes the best things happen unexpectedly. he’s a beautiful dog, and I can see why you couldn’t resist. when you gonna tell dom?” she asks, her eyes twinkling with curiosity and a hint of amusement.
you look down at the ground, your fingers absentmindedly playing with the soft fibers of the carpet. “well, he’s not home right now, but as soon as he is, I’m going to tell him.” you take a deep breath, suddenly remembering the other reason you called. “the big problem with having a dog is finding someone to watch him while we’re gone, and I was wondering if you could watch him while dom and I are on the road?”
"of course, I'd love to," she says warmly, her voice filled with reassurance. “I’ve always loved having animals around, and he seems like he’d be wonderful.”
just then, you hear the front door open. "dom's home, gotta go," you whisper hurriedly, hanging up the phone.
you gently stroke otto's fur before standing up, feeling the soft warmth of his coat under your fingers. "shush, buddy," you say softly, giving him one last affectionate pat. you quietly leave the room, closing the door behind you with a soft click.
you walk down the hallway, and step into the kitchen and see dom placing some things into the fridge. “hey baby,” you say softly, moving closer to him, eager to share a warm embrace once he’s done.
dom glances over his shoulder at the sound of your voice, a smile spreading across his face. he quickly finishes putting the groceries away, then turns to face you, his arms already extending to welcome you into his embrace. "oh hey, cariño," he greets you warmly, his accent never failing to send a shiver down your spine.
you move into him and he wraps his strong arms around your waist, pulling you snugly against his chest. his hands find their place on your hips, holding you with a gentle yet firm touch.
you loop your arms around his neck, a tender smile gracing your lips. “how was your morning?” you ask.
he hums contentedly as your arms encircle his neck, feeling the warmth of your touch.
he leans in and presses a gentle kiss on your forehead, taking a moment to just appreciate being with you.
he pulls back slightly, his thumbs still gently rubbing your hips. "It was alright," he replies casually. "the usual stuff—gym, errands, nothing special." he studies your face, noticing a hint of nervousness in your eyes. "you okay, babe?"
you nod, looking up at him as you bite your lip nervously. untangling yourself from his embrace, you take a step back placing your hand on the counter for support. “I have to tell you something, and I know you’re going to be a little pissed off, but I want you to hear me out.”
at your words, his expression shifts to one of concern, his eyes narrowing slightly as he leans back against the counter. he crosses his arms over his chest, a habit he has when he's worried.
he continues to study your face carefully, recognizing that something is troubling you. he nods slowly, signaling for you to continue. "okay," he says softly, his tone neutral yet attentive. "I'm listening."
“okay, so today after breakfast, liv and I stopped by a pet store. It had this adoption center inside.” you pause, trying to gauge his reaction as you continue speaking softly. “I couldn’t resist... I adopted a dog.” you stop, waiting for his response.
dom's eyes widen in shock, clearly taken aback by your confession. his arms drop to his sides in disbelief.
he takes a moment to process your words, then shakes his head slightly as if trying to clear his thoughts. "you what?" he says finally, his voice a little sharper than usual. “you adopted a dog—without even talking to me first?”
your eyebrows furrow as you look at him, feeling the weight of his reaction. “I know. I should’ve talked to you first!” you try to explain, hoping to ease his frustration. “but I saw him, and I don’t know, I just couldn’t say no.”
he runs a hand through his hair, frustration written all over his face. he takes a deep breath, trying to remain calm.
"you 'couldn't say no'?" he repeats, his tone becoming annoyed. "babe, we live in an apartment. we have a pretty busy schedule. you can't just adopt a pet without discussing it with me first. we're supposed to make these decisions as a team, remember?"
you inhale looking down at the ground before looking at him. “I know baby. I’m sorry..”
he sighs, seeing the genuine remorse on your face. his expression softens slightly, but he's still clearly frustrated with the situation.
"I get that you love dogs," he says, his voice slightly calmer than before. "but you can't just make these kind of decisions on a whim. we need to think about this logically—our lifestyles, our schedules. we're constantly traveling and doing press, we don't have the time to take care of a dog properly."
“I know!” you counter trying to make him see your point, to at least hear you out. “I know we’re traveling a lot but my mom can watch him she’s already agreed to, and I’ve heard people at work say having a dog to come home too is a good thing.”
dom's expression softens even more, his irritation fading slightly. "your mom agreed to watch him while we're gone?" he asks, a hint of skepticism in his voice.
you nod, hoping he’ll understand
he takes another deep breath, mulling over the idea in his mind. he knows you've already adopted the dog, so there's no going back now.
"but what about when we do come home?" he asks, turning his attention back to you. he studies your face, noticing the hopefulness in your eyes. “like I said our schedule are pretty packed even at home. how are we supposed to find time to take care of a pet on top of that?"
“dom i know it sounds stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.” you assure him. “I’ll take care of him. my off days are pretty chill, and most of the times so are yours.”
dom runs a hand through his hair again, clearly conflicted. he knows you mean well, and he can see how much you love this dog already.
"babe, I get it, I really do," he says, his tone calmer than before. "but I'm just worried about how we're gonna make this work. I don’t want it to be a burden on you. you've already got a lot on your plate."
“baby I got this, please just trust me.” you ask him softly, reaching for his hand.
dom sighs, looking down at your hand in his. he can't deny that the thought of having a dog in the apartment makes him a bit happy too, even if he's still worried about the details.
he laces his fingers with yours, squeezing your hand gently. "I do trust you," he says quietly. "but we're in this together, alright? we’re gonna make this work."
your soft frown turns into a smile. “we’re in this together.” you repeat softly.
he nods, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "we are," he replies, his voice warm and reassuring.
he takes a step closer to you, his arms wrapping around your waist again, pulling you closer against him. "just promise me one thing," he says, looking down at you with a serious expression.
you look up at him confused, humming in response.
dom quirks an eyebrow, a small smirk forming on his lips. he can't help but be a little bit excited at the thought of seeing the dog you've secretly adopted.
"do I want to meet him? of course I do," he says, his tone a mix of sarcasm and amusement. "lead the way, cariño."
you pull away from him, grabbing his hand and leading him down the hallway to the spare room. you open the door to see otto laying down in the same spot you’d left him in asleep.
dom follows you into the room, his expression softening as he sees otto for the first time. he can't deny that the pup is adorable, all cozy in the spare room.
"wow," he says quietly, a hint of awe in his voice. "so this is the little guy, huh?"
he steps into the room, approaching otto slowly, not wanting to startle the sleeping dog. you do the same slowly sitting next to the sleeping puppy.
dom sits down next to you, watching as otto stirs slightly, lifting his head to look at you both. he notices that the puppy has a curious look on his face, as if assessing the new stranger in his room.
he reaches out a hand, gently scratching otto behind the ear. "he’s kind of cute," he murmurs, a small smile on his face.
you look at dom a wide smile before looking at otto. “this is your daddy otto.” you say softly placing a soft kiss on the dogs head.
dom smiles at the sight, his heart melting a little at how sweet you're being with the puppy. he stretches out a hand, gently scratching the top of otto's head. "hey there, buddy," he says quietly, his voice warm and soothing.
otto tilts his head in response, his tail thumping on the ground as he seems torecognize the affection from both of you.byou smile looking at otto before looking at how dom was with the dog.
dom's expression softens even more as he continues to play with the puppy, gently scratching behind his ears and petting his soft fur.
he can't help but grin as otto seems to respond to his touch, whining affectionately and trying to crawl into his lap. he looks over at you, joy in his eyes.
dom grins at your laugh, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I think he likes me," he says jokingly, as otto continues to crawl onto his lap, resting his head comfortably against dom's chest.
“I think he does.”
a year later.
It was yours and dom’s day off. you both had, had the most hectic week. wrestlemania was coming up and quickly.
so when you had asked him to join you at the gym he declined and told you he was just going to watch a movie.
you’d just come back from your morning workout, you could hear the tv playing softly in the background, and the apartment was dim, lit only by the gloomy light filtering in from outside. The rain had left a gentle patter against the windows.
you unlock your apartment door and step inside. “baby, I’m home,” you call out softly, not really paying attention as you kick off your shoes and place your water bottle into the fridge. when you don’t hear a response, your eyebrows furrow in mild confusion.
just as you’re about to call out again, you notice dom lying on the couch, fast asleep, with the tv quietly playing a movie in the background. you walk around the kitchen island and see dom cuddled up with otto, who was also sleeping peacefully.
a smile spreads across your face as you take out your phone and snap a quick picture. “we are too busy for dogs, my ass,” you tease softly, chuckling to yourself.
dom stirs at the sound of your voice, slowly opening his eyes as he becomes conscious of your presence. he blinks a few times, adjusting to the dim light of the apartment.
he looks up at you, a sheepish grin spreading across his face as he notices you taking a picture of him cuddling with otto. "hey, you're home," he says, his voice still rough and groggy from sleep.
dom glances down at otto, who remains cuddled up against him, eyes half-lidded and content. "yeah, yeah," he mutters, rolling his eyes playfully.
you laugh, sitting down next to dom, causing otto to slowly wake up as well. “I missed you boys.”
dom wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer against him. he chuckles softly as otto raises his head, looking at you with his big, sleepy eyes.
"we missed you too," he says, a hint of affection in his voice. he gently scratches behind otto's ear, eliciting a soft whine from the pup.
you cuddle into dom, humming in contentment as your eyes flutter closed. “nope,” you say, getting up reluctantly. “I need to shower, I’m sweaty.”
dom groans softly as you get up, clearly not ready to let go of your cuddles.
"do you have to?" he whines jokingly, pouting slightly. He looks up at you with puppy-dog eyes, trying to convince you to stay.
“we can cuddle and take a nap after I shower. I promise.”
dom sighs in mock defeat, a small pout still on his face. "fine," he relents, reluctantly pulling his arm away from you.
"but you better not take forever, or I might fall asleep without you," he teases, his eyes still sleepy and half-lidded.
“I won’t.” just then, you run to the bathroom, getting into the shower as quickly as you can.
dom watches as you hurry off to the bathroom, letting out a small chuckle, amused by your eagerness to shower and be back with him.
he stretches out on the couch, reaching for the remote to turn off the movie that's still playing on the tv. he then turns his attention to otto, who's now standing beside him, waiting for your return.
"she takes quick showers," dom says to the dog, as if trying to explain your absence. "don't worry, she'll be back soon."
you finish up, throwing on sweats and one of dom’s hoodies.
dom looks up as you re-enter the living room, his eyes wandering over your sweatpant-clad legs and the oversized hoodie you're wearing. he smirks slightly, recognizing it as one of his.
"nice outfit," he teases, a hint of admiration in his eyes.
“hush,” you tease, sitting down in your previous spot and cuddling up next to him.
dom chuckles softly as you settle back beside him, immediately draping his arm around your shoulders. he pulls you closer against his chest, enjoying the feeling of you against him.
"so clingy," he teases, a hint of affection in his voice. he gently runs his hand up and down your arm, tracing aimless patterns on your skin.
you roll your eyes, leaning into him a bit more, feeling the warmth of his body against yours. just then, otto jumps up onto your lap, his tail wagging excitedly. you can’t help but smile as he settles down, nuzzling into you.
dom laughs softly, watching. "looks like someone missed you," he says, reaching over to give otto a gentle pat on the head.
you scratch behind otto's ears, feeling the soft fur under your fingers. "yeah, he’s a little cuddle bug," you reply, your voice filled with affection.
dom's arm tightens around you both, creating a cozy little bubble of warmth and love. "our little family," he murmurs, his voice content.

Fluff (First Date, holding hands, first kiss)

Chapter 2
2,000 Words
(You go on a date with Minji after inviting her a few days before. You confirm your feelings and with a surprise at the end.)
It’s been a few days since you met Minji for the first time. You haven’t gotten her out of your mind and keep looking at the photo you took of her. After some thinking, you contemplate texting her, and you give it a shot, “Hey, it’s me. I want to ask you if you are free sometime this week. I want to ask you on a date, maybe lunch or dinner?” You click send and hope for her reply.
You wait for an hour, the evening, and no reply. You tell yourself, “She must be busy with her group. She’ll text me when she’s free.”
A day passes, and there is no response; you can’t help but feel a bit disappointed, but you have too many things going on yourself, so you try to keep yourself busy.
A few days pass, and you are currently at the gym with one of your friends from school. “Hey, you seem distracted, what’s up?”
“No, I’m fine.”
“You sure? You’re not yourself. Look at you; you’re running and lifting less than usual. That’s not you, bro.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right. I’ve been distracted.”
“Tell me. If it's something I can help you with, I don’t mind giving you some free advice.”
“Haha, you know that advice should be free; you don’t charge someone for it.”
“I mean, you’re not going to pay me per se; you just need to pay for dinner.”
“Ohh, then something from the convenience store, then.
“Don’t be like that; how about some fried chicken or some meat?”
“Okay, okay, I’ll think about it.”
You tell your friend about Minji, how you met, and the text message you sent her. “Dang, bro. She’s cute. I mean, there are three options: either she’s busy, bad at texting like my girl, or ignoring you.”
“I hope she’s just busy. I think she’s cute, and I really want to get to know her better. Hopefully, I didn’t come off too strong and scare her.”
“Hey, don’t worry about it too much. If she blew you off, my girlfriend has a single friend. Maybe I should introduce you to her.”
“Nah, I’m good.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah.”
“Alright, don’t say I never help. Let’s hope she’s busy and forgot to text you back.”
“Yeah…”
The two of you continue your workout for another hour. After finishing, you go to the shower and change into different clothes. You gather your things in a rush after noticing you’ll be late for class, “Hey, bro! You dropped your phone.” You don’t seem to hear him as you leave the changing room in a rush.
“Hmm… there’s a few messages.”
He looks at your phone and sees it’s from Minji. He runs out of the changing room and tries to catch up to you when he notices her calling your phone. He answers your phone, “Hey.”
“Sorry to call you this early, I’ve wanted to…”
“Haha, sorry. He forgot his phone at the gym. I’m trying to catch up to him; just give me a bit. Oh, I’m his friend, Jin, by the way.”
Minji can hear Jin running and panting as he runs as fast as possible to catch up to you. “Dude, wait up.”
You turn your head and see Jin running frantically towards you, “What’s up?”
“Phone… here, it's her. Your girlfriend” passing you the phone.
“Hello, Minji?”
“Hey, sorry I haven’t replied back. I was really busy with practice.”
“Haha, it’s fine. I’ve been busy myself with class.”
“Oh… so that means you’re not free today?”
“No, I’m free. I have two classes today, but I’m free after 4 pm.”
“Oh, that works. Where do you want to meet?”
“Hmm… are you up for some Fried Chicken?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, there is a place near the company building. I’ll send you the directions and see you at 5 pm.”
“Okay, sounds good. See you then.”
After your class, you rush back to your apartment and tidy up, shower, and get changed for your date with Minji. You debate what to wear since it's been a while since you had a date, and you really want to impress Minji. After much debate, you decide what to wear, do your hair, and go to the restaurant to meet her.
You arrive at the restaurant, find a seat, and wait for her to arrive. You text your friend and tell him how nervous you are, and he wishes you luck.
Suddenly, you hear the door chime go off and see Minji looking for you. You wave your hand, which catches her attention, and she walks toward you. You stand and pull the chair for her, “Did I make you wait long?”
“No, I just got her about five minutes ago.”
“Oh, okay, I was afraid I was going to be a bit late.”
“Haha, no. You made it just on time.”
She smiles and places her phone on the table before picking up the menu. “I come here a lot since it's close to the company; they really have some good chicken.”
“Oh, if that’s the case, then I’ll leave the ordering to you,” giving her a smile.
“Okay, but don’t be upset if you don’t like it.”
“If you ordered, then I know it's going to be good.”
“Haha, okay,” she blushes. She calls over the waiter and places two orders of fried chicken and two cold sodas.
“Sorry for leaving you on read; I didn’t mean to.”
“It’s okay; I assumed you were busy. I’m happy you messaged me back, though.”
“I kept looking at your message, and when the manager said that we had time off, the first thing I did was message you.”
“Oh, so that means you were thinking of me.”
Minji gets red by the way you phrased it and tries to play it off, “Haha, no, well… I didn’t want to be rude.”
“Well… you’re here, that’s all that matters. Also, you look beautiful, by the way.”
“Ehh…” Minji’s ears turn hot red, getting caught off guard by the sudden comment.”
The waiter arrives with a platter of food and drinks. “You two look like a lovely couple,” she says as she places the food on the table.
Minji is startled and says, “Oh, we’re not a couple, just friends.”
“Haha, she’s not my girlfriend yet,” she said with a smile.
“Aww, what a daring guy. I wish my boyfriend was like that when he asked me out. Took it a while.” She looked at Minji and leaned towards her, “He's pretty hot; you two should date,” and walked away, grinning.
“Omg, that was so embarrassing. So sorry for that; she likes to tease.”
“Oh, it’s fine. I only said the truth.”
Minji bites her lip and turns her face to the side, avoiding her embarrassed expression.
You grab a piece of chicken and take a bite, “Hmmm, it's good. You weren’t lying when you said the chicken was good.”
Relieved that you changed the conversation, she replies, “See, I told you. My members and I come here often because it’s good and the price is reasonable.”
The two of you continued with small talk on what you had been doing the past week. So far, the vibe between you two is great; she laughs at your jokes, and you listen to what she says and even give some input. You could tell that she was enjoying the date and hoped to ask her for another one. You can’t help but admire her beauty, personality, and how she makes you feel. You know that she’s the one you’ve been searching for.
“My members said that you seem like….” she stops mid-sentence when she tilts towards you, extending her arm and placing her thumb on your lip, “Sorry, you had some sauce on your face.”
You feel embarrassed and try to say something but suddenly react to the flash from the window. Four girls are standing in front of the restaurant window with their phones out. “Oppa, I’m so sorry. Those are my members; they must have followed me. Let me talk to them,” she said as she stood, making the four girls run away in laughter.
You yourself can’t help but laugh at the situation and say, “Hahaha, don’t worry about it. My friends are the same way. All they are going to do is tease; just don’t be too hard on them.”
“Watch, just wait until I get home,” frowning at the members that ran across the street.
After calming down, the two of you continue to eat and decide to grab some dessert. “Want to split the bill?”
“Actually, let me pay. I invited you on the date.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah, if anything, you can spot the dessert.”
“Okay, sounds good.”
You call for the waiter, pay for the bill, and head out for a short walk before grabbing the dessert. As you two walk down the street, try to walk as close to her as possible and eye her hand. You see it swaying back and forth from the side of your eye and make a daring choice. You slowly interlock hands and see her reaction. Luckily, she doesn’t reject it and instead turns her head away from you, but she notices that her ears are turning red. The two of you walk in silence and enjoy the scene until Minji stops in front of an ice cream shop.
“Ice cream.”
“You want to get some ice cream?”
“Yes, ice cream,” and pulls you into the shop.
“Chocolate?”
“Yea…”
“Can I have two orders of chocolate?” turning your head and signaling two with your fingers.
“Can it be two scoops for both?”
The both of you enjoy your ice cream and see how much she enjoys every scoop. The way she smiles and squints her eyes makes your heart flutter.
“Cute”
“Wha? What you say?”
“I said cute.”
“Nooo, why?”
“You look cute when you eat the ice cream.”
“Nooo, stop. You’re going to make me blush again.”
“Haha. Kim Minji is cute. Cute when she eats her ice cream, just like a little teddy bear.”
She covers her face with her hands, “Haha, stop. You’re going to make me cry.”
“Okay, I’ll stop. I’ll just eat your ice cream since I’m done with mine.”
You try to grab a scoop of her ice cream when she says, “No! Mine!” Her reaction makes you burst into laughter. “Haha, haha, see, you’re only proving me right.”
“Meanie,” pouting and crossing her arms.
“Okay, okay. I’ll stop. For real this time.”
“Okay. Promise?”
“Promise.”
—————
“Thank you for inviting me out on a date; I really enjoyed it.”
“Would you be open for another date?”
“Hmm… Yeah… I’ll really like that,” with a gummy smile.
“Should I text you?”
“I’ll text you.”
“Okay. I’ll see you then.”
“Hmm, okay…” She waves you goodbye and walks towards the entrance of her building. You wave goodbye and start walking when you hear, “Oppa!” You turn around and see Minji behind you, “Hey.”
Suddenly, she walks closer to you, gets on her tippy toes, and kisses you on the cheek. “Thanks for the date” she smiles and speeds back to the entrance of the building and goes inside.
*Minji inserts the passcode to her dorm and sees her younger members on the living room couch, watching television and eating snacks. They all turn to look at Minji who is smiling from the kiss when she hears the members sing, “Minji unnie has a boyfriend, Minji has a boyfriend” in sync.
“Yah! Come here!” as she grabs her shoe and holds it up in the air, making the members run around the living room, trying to avoid being smacked by Minji.

request: “Hmm… Hashira! reader who is normally shy gets drunk and flirts with a white hatted stranger. they don’t know he’s the demon king, & muzan humors them. turns out drunk reader is very charismatic and entertaining, ended up making out with muzan for a while. like, a hour. when the big battle happens, they encounter muzan and reader remembers everything, feeling their lips to still feel muzan’s on them. shy hashira reader is red faced and stuttering lol”
AN: heya, very sorry for the long delay of this ask. i’ve been extremely busy for the past 2 weeks but i’m gonna take some time off to complete this. as an apology for my absence, i decided to take it upon myself to make this a 2 PART story (this might be counted as a series). i will also like to add that, i kinda exaggerated his outfit he was wearing because like.. it was thoughts running throughout my head. so just a heads up, i’m a little descriptive of his outfit. and MAYYYY… have gotten carried away on this one. so i apologize in advance 🙏🏾.

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐍 - pt. 1
pt. 1 | pt. 2
muzan x hashira! reader
warnings/notes: 16+ blog, semi-nsfw, suggestive content, dancing/clubbing (yk, they might be all touchy-feely or wtv), grinding, making out, modern(ish?) au mixed with the present (if that makes sense).
synopsis: you are a shy hashira who has took the time to cut loose, enjoy yourself; until you encounter a man in a white hat. things turn very intimate until a few days later, you encounter him again. not expecting he was the enemy… the enemy who the DSC hates the most.
Tumblr media
you were feeling very bold tonight. you don’t know what it was, but your shy nature wasn’t there anymore when you were out on the dance floor, letting loose and releasing your inner freak. you order a couple of drinks and got yourself to the point you forgot where you was. enjoying yourself to the fullest; ignoring the people that surrounded you.
but you senses started to somewhat sneak in, feeling a presence coming straight towards you. you got a good look at him even if your vision relatively blurry. he was wearing a black/sliver vest, a white-long sleeved dress shirt, and some black dress pants and sliver loafers. he’s kinda over-dressed for this type of environment but you didn’t even seem to care. he lifts up the white hat that was covering his face, revealing his beautiful crimson but vibrant eyes.
the way his eyes shined within the dim lights in the room everyone was in, was breathtaking. he was undeniably attractive and you were too stunned to speak, even though you weren’t even sober. the music that was playing shifted into a more intimate vibe. so people are about to to get real touchy.
you started to sway your hips to the beat and eventually making your way towards him; wrapping your arms around his neck, closing the gap between you two.
he chuckled and admired how bold you’ve been, ever since you saw him. he puts his hands on each side of your hips, moving to the rhythm.
“i’ve never seen somebody so overdressed in this type of establishment…” you smirked. he laughs to himself, not denying the fact that; it is true.
“well, i like to stand out from the crowd. not dressing the way others do it, nowadays,” he replied, still helping to swaying your hips. you nod at his response and took it in as you go.
“what’s your name?” he asked curiously.
“y/n.”
“nice to meet you, y/n. the names muzan.” he smiled.
“well muzan, all this staring is making me uncomfortable. wanna go somewhere private?” you asked.
he nods as you lead him to some dark corner, away from the people entering the club. as soon as your back hits the wall, your lips crashed onto his. he wraps his arms around your waist, deepening the kiss and licking your bottom lip to be let inside your mouth.
you gladly allowed him to do so and moan in his mouth. you felt a knee go against your crotch. you let out a gasp, letting more arousal build up between you both. he notices and takes the lead by moving his knee and listening to your moans come out from your throat.
you both continue to make love in the corner until the night was over.

Definitely a Little Jealous
Title: Definitely a Little Jealous
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Reader
Summary: During a case, you can’t seem to be left alone by one officer. Hotch takes matters into his own hands and shows that you’re not available.
Word Count: 2109
Master List
A/N: This was finished on Friday but I had no laptop to put the post together with over the weekend so here it is! A part 2/companion piece to my first Hotch piece!
Part 1
Yesterday marked six months into your relationship with Aaron Hotchner. After the case, you had gotten breakfast with him and it had quickly gone from there. Within only a few weeks, you had made yourselves official between the two of you. Neither of you said anything to the team. It wasn’t that either of you necessarily cared, but more if there was no need to announce it. They could figure it out on their own.
There were times that Hotch did his best to make sure that other people knew you were off limits. Standing behind you when people are looking at your ass, putting himself between you and others when they stand just a little too close, and even pressing his lips to your forehead when someone won’t stop pestering you. It was always the subtle things that kept people from hitting on you. Aaron’s an intimidating man as best and a scary one at worst.
You aren’t really scared of what he would do to the guys hitting on you. Scare them off, intimidate them, maybe threaten them a little but you figure that he’s just being overly worried. After all, you know about what’s happened to him, and you’re sure he doesn’t want to go through that again. Even if it’s just some other guy managing to whisk you away.
“So, agent, if we’re going to work on this case together, maybe we should know each other a little better. There’s this place I know that’s small and local, not to mention it’s amazing.”
You look up at the officer leaning on the table. His hand is spread all over the file you are reading. You wish he would leave you alone already, considering this was the third time he’d tried to ask you out.
“I’m actually super busy right now. Given that there is a serial killer out there and all, I think you should be busy too.”
Hotch walks in. The officer doesn’t even look up at him, instead choosing to give you an expectant look. You can tell that Hotch isn’t very happy with what’s going on. There’s a man trying to prove himself as an “alpha male” by harassing you and ignoring Hotch. Not only is the man impeding the investigation, he’s trying to get with you.
“What’s going on here?” Hotch’s voice makes sure that the officer looks at him.
Before the officer can speak, you answer him. “Nothing. Officer Jones was just leaving.”
The officer's hand crumples the paper it’s on before he stalks off. He certainly wasn’t happy about being interrupted. Not that you cared. You shouldn’t need to flaunt being in a relationship to be left alone.
“Was he bothering you?” Aaron asks mainly to be polite. He already knows the answer.
You lean back in the chair and rub your temples. This officer is pissing you off with his insistence. No matter how many times you say no, he doesn’t listen.
“We both know he is. I wish he’d leave me alone already but it’s not like I can just tell him I have a boyfriend without him asking for proof. I know cause he’s already asked for a picture of him.”
Aaron makes his way over to you and stands behind the chair. His hands run up your arms and grab onto your shoulders. He starts to slowly rub your shoulders and you lean your head into his stomach.
You’ve spent this whole case craving his touch. It’s not that he has been avoiding you, you’ve just been so busy. So much to look into with so little time.
“Aaron?” You ask and he hums in response. “God, I’ve missed just having you touch me.”
He chuckles and gives the top of your head a kiss. “I’ve missed you too. And don’t worry about Officer Jones. I’ll be taking care of him.”
As he says that, you hear the ice in his voice. He’s not pleased about this guy and you know he’s got a million ideas about taking care of him. This most likely ranges from giving him a lecture to the more extreme of giving this man a whole new job that wouldn’t be anything near a woman.
“I know you will, Aaron. If you had your way, you’d make sure that man probably never sees a woman again in his life.”
He doesn’t say anything, but gives your shoulders one last squeeze. You know he’d do a lot for you and yet, you want to ask him to stay just a moment longer. He would, and that’s the thing that would give it all away.
Rossi sticks his head through the door before you can ask anything of Aaron. “I’ll meet you in the car, Hotch. Don’t take too much longer bossing (Y/N) around.”
After Rossi’s head vanishes, you finally ask, “Can I sleep in your room tonight? I don’t think I can keep sleeping by myself.”
Aaron gives you a peck on the cheek as he answers, “You don’t even have to ask.”
With that, your boyfriend walks out the door to join the rest of the team while you sit and look at files. Well most of the team is off poking around various sites and talking to various people, one of them isn’t. You know just what to do to, hopefully, keep officer creepy away.
“Speak and you shall be heard.”
You give a smile as Garcia’s voice comes from the speaker of your phone. She was always there for whatever you needed and you were so happy to hear her voice.
“Garcia, honey, thank you so much for picking up,” you say with relief.
You can hear her smile through the phone, “This isn’t Agent Morgan’s phone number. Did he make you say such sweet things to me, (Y/N)?”
“Oh my technological goddess, can you please just keep me company?” You hear her giggle. “There’s this officer who won’t leave me alone so I figured if there’s another voice maybe he’ll leave me alone.”
You can picture her sitting up straighter and giving a frown. “Which one would this be?”
“Oh Garcia, you don’t have to look into this guy. Hotch already said he’d take care of it.”
You hear her scribble on a pad, no doubt to tell Hotch about making sure you don’t get left behind to be around creeps. “I’ll just ask Hotch later then. Speaking of the devil himself, did you hear the news? Hotch has a mystery lover.”
You pause. So everyone had figured out that Aaron Hotchner was in a new relationship. The only question you had is how many of the team had figured out it was you.
“Oh really? Do spill your reasoning, gossip queen.”
You kept your focus on the files as Garcia talked. You couldn’t let her distract you, even if you wanted to hear everything she was saying. The case came first, the gossip came second.
“Well, he’s been smiling a lot more. At first I didn’t think he was capable of smiling and then I thought maybe he was losing it. But the key thing is, it would usually be at his phone. As if someone was telling him funny things. He never really laughed though so I figured it had to be he was in love.”
“Uh huh. So Hotch has the ability to smile. A fascinating concept.”
Her little ‘hmph’ comes through the phone. “Okay how about this. I was late leaving the office one night and went to leave something on his desk. He’s always there so it wasn’t a surprise when his light was on, but the surprise is that I heard a voice come through his phone. A voice that he said ‘I love you’ to. And I know it wasn’t Jack’s voice.”
She got you there. Aaron is a man who doesn’t say that to many people. It was actually just over a week ago and it was the first time he had told you that.
“Okay, okay. You win. Hotch has a mystery lover that he’s hiding.”
You hear her phone ring and she puts you on hold. You want to spill the beans but you opt to carefully consider what you’ll say next. Maybe having her give an idea of the sort of person he’d now be with would be fun.
A voice behind you spoke up. “Talking about your boss like that, agent?”
You turn the chair around and look at Office Jones. “Actually I was just having a member of my team keep me company. I’ve found three possible suspects. What have you managed to do?”
“How about this, you go out with me. And I don’t tell your boss about this.”
You see Hotch enter the room. “Office Jones, we need to stop meeting like this. What information are you blackmailing my agent about?”
You hear Garcia start to say something but you cut her off. “I called Garcia in an effort to have Officer Jones leave me alone. The topic turned to work gossip about you having a new relationship.”
Garcia profusely apologizes through the phone. “I’m so sorry sir. I was just trying to keep her company and know that your personal life is not for any of us to speculate on. I shouldn’t have taken up a half hour of Agent (Y/N)’s time.”
With that, Garcia disconnects. You know it’s not her fault and you feel bad. Aaron might scold her about it later, but you plan on doing your best to make sure that he doesn’t.
“Officer Jones, I’m going to tell you this only once. If you come near my agent ever again, it will be your last action as an officer. Do I make myself clear?” Aaron’s face is set and his gaze is cold.
You’re hoping Officer Jones will back down but he doesn’t seem keen on doing so. You know you should be bothered by Aaron trying to not fight this guy over his disrespect but you can’t help but get flustered. Hotch being jealous, even a little possessive, is hot.
“Here.” Hotch hands you a little box. “Originally I was going to give it to you yesterday but then we got the case. My next plan was to wait until we got home but I suppose now is a better time.”
The box is a little fuzzy and you immediately know it’s jewelry. It must be a gift for your six month anniversary, but Aaron must have brought it with him on the case.
“You didn’t have to bring it with you,” you protested. “The gift I got you is still sitting at my apartment. And this better not be expensive or I’ll have you hold onto to it for a more special time.”
You open the box anyway. Inside sits a simple gold necklace. The simple gold chain holds a round locket that when you pop open, contains a picture of Aaron and Jack together. When you twist it in your fingers, you feel Aaron’s and your own initials.
“Oh my god. This had to have been expensive,” you whisper. “Aaron, how could you? We agreed on a maximum price.”
Officer Jones looks between the two of you and scoffs. “This is your little boyfriend you won’t show me pictures of?”
Aaron takes the necklace out of the box and clasps it around your neck. You can feel your face get warm and you really wish that it hadn’t come to him being so open about what you were to him. Not that you could’ve stopped him.
“Now if you don’t mind,” Aaron gives Jones a harsh look, “if you even think about disrupting any of my agents while we work on this case, I will be having a word with your superior. Is that understood?”
Jones glances at you before turning and walking out of the room. Rossi walks in to take his place and gives a glance over his shoulder at the officer. The three of you stand in silence for a moment.
“Well glad that got sorted out without a fight. I was worried you might hit him, Hotch. You haven’t been too subtle about your feelings,” Rossi comments with a grin. “I’m not gonna tell the others but I know I will be a little bit richer once you do.”
You put your hands over your face while Rossi’s grin gets even bigger. Aaron sighs and gives him a pointed look that has no effect on the older man. The three of you only start moving once the others start to walk in and wonder what’s going on.

Rocking back and forth on your feet, you waited outside of the restaurant. He’s probably just running a little late, you told yourself as you checked the time. It was almost ten minutes after your scheduled date time. You pulled out your phone to shoot your date a text. “I’m standing outside of the restaurant. Are you gonna be here soon?” You hit send on the texting hoping to get a response that he would be there soon. That he was stuck in traffic or something. Much to your dismay another ten minutes go by and your date hasn’t even read your text. You sigh after checking your phone for the nth time. Your sigh seemed to catch the attention of a guy who was also waiting outside of the restaurant. You had noticed him a bit ago, but didn’t pay much mind to him. Too busy feeling humiliated about being stood up. You were about to walk away. It had been twenty minutes and your date was still a no show. Right as you began to walk away the guy called after you.
“Excuse me?” He walked up to you.
“Yes?” you said.
“You were waiting for your date right?” he checked. You nodded your head yes in response. “I’ve been waiting for my date too. I’m pretty sure they stood me up, so…” The guy quasi-awkwardly looked to the side for a moment taking a breath then looked back at you. “So do you maybe want to go in together?” he pitched.
“Sure, it would be a shame to waste the trip out here right?” you say. The guy's face lit up at your answer.
“Definitely. I’m Jooyeon,” he introduced himself.
“I’m y/n,” you introduced yourself back. The two of you headed inside of the restaurant with Jooyeon opening the door for you. You both got seated at a table. A waiter came by soon after to take your orders.
“So who’s the asshole that stood you up?” Jooyeon asked in a gossiping manner. It makes you chuckle.
“A guy I met about a week ago. He came up to ask for my number while I was hanging out with some friends and they of course urged me to give it to him. I decided to give him a chance. Now I regret it,” you told.
“Wow, so he hit on you first then stood you up.” Jooyeon shook his head.
“Tell me about it. So who’s the asshole that stood you up?” you returned the question.
“A girl my friend set me up with as a blind date. My friend is their acquaintance and I guess the girl kept talking about how she wanted to go on a date and meet somebody, yet she decided to not show up,” Jooyeon explained.
“Maybe she met somebody on the way here,” you joked. Your joke was successful at making Jooyeon laugh.
Your orders arrived. The waiter double checked if you needed anything else before leaving. You and Jooyeon were certainly hitting it off. The conversation flow was natural as you each talked about yourselves, getting to know one another better.
“I’m glad you invited me in. This is really nice,” you disclosed.
“Yeah it is. In a way I’m glad neither of our dates showed. I wouldn’t have gotten to know you if they did,” Jooyeon states.
In perfect irony of timing here comes your date walking into the restaurant. He instantly feels angry when he discovers that you aren’t hopelessly waiting for him, but are instead eating with another guy. Smiling at the guy. Laughing with the guy.
“What are you doing?” your supposed to be date asked standing at your table. You turned to look at him unimpressed.
“What am I doing?” you repeated his question. “What are you doing? Walking in here,” you stopped to check the time. “Forty-five minutes late without giving me a text or call,” you turned it on him.
“My phone died,” the guy excused.
“Show me,” you tell him.
“Huh?” he let out.
“Your dead phone. Show me,” you clarified.
“What, you don’t believe me?” he asked, offended.
“Not particularly, but if you show me your dead phone and tell me why you’re late I’ll apologize.” The guy only scoffs.
“Why would I want to go on a date with someone like you anyway?” he says. Now you’re the one that scoffs.
“So your phone isn’t dead right? You just thought you could show up to our date whenever you wanted and I’d be here helplessly waiting. Well news flash I have more self worth than that. I was gonna go home after waiting for you for twenty minutes, but then he invited me to join him and I’m glad he did.” You gestured across the table where Jooyeon sat.
“Turns out you’re really not my type anyway,” the guy spits and he begins to walk away.
“I feel bad for the people that are,” you called out. He throws the middle finger at you as he leaves the restaurant.
“So cool,” Jooyeon muttered under his breath.
“What did you say?” you questioned.
“You’re so cool,” Jooyeon said louder. “I don’t think I could’ve done that if my date walked in here like that.”
“Well, he wasn’t my type either,” you laughed as you used the dude's attempt of an insult.
“You dodged a bullet,” Jooyeon points.
“That’s partly thanks to you,” you said.
“Well then I’m happy to have been of service.” He smiles, giving a little bow. “Since I have been of service can I ask you something?” he checks.
“Shoot,” you respond.
“Can I take you out on a date or another one?” he asked you with a light chuckle.
“I’d like that,” you happily agreed. “You better not be late.” You pointed a finger at him.
“If anything I’ll be early,” he states. The two of you quickly exchanged contact information. After you finished your meal together.
Just like Jooyeon said he would be, he had gotten there early for your date together. You walked up to him with a bright smile painted on your face.
“Hi,” you greeted him.
“Hi, you’re here three minutes early yourself,” Jooyeon notes.
“Well I wouldn’t want to keep you waiting,” you say. The two of you head inside, excited to spend more time together.

Steve’s invitation over to his place wasn’t unusual and was, in fact, greatly welcomed. It had been a hell of a long week and you were dying to talk about it with someone. So you happily jumped on your bike and travelled as fast as you could to his home just outside of Manhattan.
The blond was waiting at his front door for you to arrive with a huge smile on his face. “Rogers you are a life-saver!” You called out as you parked your crumbling bike at the side of his house.
Steve shrugged and accepted the warm hug you offered. “Just doing my duty ma’am.” He planted a kiss on your temple as he ushered you into the warmth of his home.
You sighed in relief as the smell of Steve’s famous beef stew washed over you, chasing away the autumn chill. A shiver rolled up your spine, shaking off the cold that had settled into your limbs on the bike ride over. “Are you sure I didn’t need to bring anything? I always feel bad when I turn up empty handed.” You let Steve take your coat off for you.
He glanced at you from over his broad shoulder as he carefully hung up the worn coat next to his leather jacket. “Your company is all I could ask for doll, you know that.” You rolled your eyes at him as you toed off your converse.
“You say that every time.” He chuckled and then retorted.
“So you really should have learned it by now. I like taking care of you.” He gave your arm an affectionate squeeze before leading you to the dining room where dinner was already set up for you both. An open bottle of your favourite red wine sat next to what must have been bread rolls he baked himself and an antique soup dish you had given him for his birthday.
“Oh Steve this looks amazing!” A faint pink blush appeared on his cheeks before he cleared his throat and pulled out your chair for you.
“It was nothing really.” You melted into the dining chair, happy to finally be sitting after a long day. Steve took his place to your right at the round table, immediately grabbing the not-so-cheap bottle of red and pouring you a generous glass before pouring some for himself. You took it upon yourself to serve you both a healthy amount of stew.
You raised your glass to your best friend who smiled broadly and brought his glass to your own, producing a delicate sound. “Thank you Stevie. It’s been too long since we’ve done this.”
“I have missed having you around doll.” He took a sip of the wine as you smiled kindly at him.
Silence settled over you both as you dug in. You were two rolls down and almost done with your bowl of stew when Steve spoke up again. “So what have you been up to? You seemed pretty busy during our last call.”
You swallowed the bite you had just taken and bashfully glanced away. “Not all of us are the retired Captain America, Stevie.” He rolled his eyes and you continued. “Well I got a promotion at work! It’s not a very big one but I’ll have some more responsibilities and a better pay.”
Steve brightened, his blue eyes sparkling with glee. “That’s great doll! You absolutely deserve it. You’ve been working there for way too long without any sort of recognition.”
“Exactly! And well,” You awkwardly cleared your throat, taking another sip of wine to wet your suddenly dry mouth. “I’ve been seeing someone. It’s not serious yet but I’ve had a crush on him for forever so ya know.”
“That’s great! I’m glad that you’re having some fun.” He swallowed the last of the wine in his glass. “More wine?” He offered and you nodded.
“And what about you, have you been getting out there?” Steve settled back into his seat, readjusting his navy polo which had wrinkled slightly with his movement. His cheeks were flushed once more but this time a little darker. “Oooo has someone captured little Stevie’s heart?” You teased, propping your chin up on your hand.
He scoffed at you. “I’ve had the same crush for 5 years now, doll, things never change.”
“Really? And you still haven’t made a move on her?” He breathed out heavily through his nose, shaking his head.
“You know, I’m not really that guy. And I like the way things are now.” He smiled and then reached to grab the paddle but only succeeded in knocking his spoon from his own bowl. “Shit.” He hissed but you laid a hand on his shoulder.
“Don’t worry, I got it.” You bent over and retrieved the silverware from the hardwood floor, handing it back to your friend as his right hand slipped something into his jean’s pocket. His smile was a little wider now and his eyes held a gleam of something you couldn’t quite recognise.
“Thanks doll.” You waved him off in favour of taking another sip of wine.
“So what else do you have planned for tonight?” You attempted to ask but your voice suddenly sounded slurred. You cleared your throat to try again but this time no sound game out. Your head felt like it was made of lead and the tips of your fingers had gone numb. “Steve.” You managed to stammer out.
“Wow, I didn’t think it would work that fast.” He mused almost to himself as he held a small, half-empty vial of clear liquid up to the light. “Well, it was made by Hydra so I shouldn’t be so surprised.” He chuckled lowly then looked at you.
“Oh doll, it’s ok. Don’t try to fight it, just close your eyes. It’ll be easier that way.” You tried to stay awake but you were just so tired. As your eyes fluttered shut, the last thing you saw was Steve as he took you into his strong arms and laid a kiss on your head. “Sweet dreams doll.”
——————
It was the heat that woke you up. An unbearable warmth that seemed to crawl over your skin and seep into the deepest parts of yourself. You groaned and tried to stretch away from whatever was causing such great discomfort but you found that you could barely move your limbs more than an inch in any direction.
“I wouldn’t move too much, it’s only going to make the knots tighter.” That was Steve’s voice but everything was pitch black. “Oh sorry doll, let me fix that for you.” A silky fabric brushed across your face as it was pulled away from your eyes and suddenly, you could see.
You were in Steve’s bedroom, that much you could tell. But the curtains were drawn and the only light came from several lit candles that were scattered about the room, distorting your sense of time. You tried to open your mouth to ask what was going on but you couldn’t speak. Another strip of fabric was stuffed between your lips, keeping them only slightly ajar and allowing no sound to escape. “I hope you don’t mind but I would rather not have you screaming and ruining all this.”
Steve stood at the foot of the bed, completely naked. You squeaked at the sight and another wave of heat rushed over you. He just laughed. “Don’t be shy doll, I couldn’t let you be the only one that’s naked.” Your body seized in fear as you finally looked down.
He was right, you were naked as well but unlike the super soldier in front of you, you were bound down. A rope around both your ankles had your plump legs spread wide, exposing your core to him as your wrists were tied above your head. There was a pillow beneath your wide hips, leaving your lower half propped up while your shoulders pushed into the mattress.
You suddenly thrashed, the reality of the situation dawning on you. But it did you no good, instead the ropes became tighter, quickly cutting off the circulation to your hands and feet. Steve clicked his tongue like a disappointed parent would and grabbed your ankles. “I told you not to struggle, doll, and now look at what you’ve done. See this is what happens when you don’t listen to me.”
He gently pulled the knot on your left ankle back, loosening it just enough for the blood flow to return. He repeated the process with the other side then crawled onto the bed. Your eyes widened with terror as he planted himself on his knees right between your legs and leaned over your soft body to grab at your wrists. From this close, you could see how the dark hair along his chest trailed all the way down past his prominent abs, leading to a thick patch at the base of the largest cock you had ever seen.
Steve tutted and yanked at the cord and the feeling returned to your hands once more. “There you go, doll. Now I need you to stay perfectly still or else.” He said, laying a gentle kiss to the tip of your nose. He sat back on his heels, his gaze firmly fixed on you.
It was like he couldn’t help himself. The tips of his fingers brushed against every inch of skin that he could touch, marvelling at how utterly soft and warm you were. You groaned through the gag. Each time he touched you, it sent an electric shock through your system that only made your body burn even brighter. “Oh doll, you’re so sensitive aren’t you. Don’t worry I’ll make it all better.”
Huge hands cupped your breasts, his thumbs immediately touching your pebbled nipples. “Perfect. Absolutely perfect.” Steve dipped down and kissed each one before giving a cheeky lick at your sternum. “They’ll be even more perfect when they’re nice and swollen with milk for our baby.” Your mind screamed at your body to move, to fight him but instead, a rush of wetness ran down from your cunt, staining the sheets below you.
“Would you look at that.” He hummed in awe. “You must love that idea too. Well don’t worry, I’ll take good care of you, like I always do.”
Steve readjusted on top of you so his stomach pressed into yours and his face was right above you. You could feel the hard length of his cock come to rest against your cunt. He groaned and rocked his hips forward. “You’re so wet doll. I bet that I could just slide right in.” Your eyes slammed shut but apparently that was the wrong thing to do.
Steve’s hand was suddenly on your jaw and he squeezed. You yelped behind the gag, pain erupting from under his fingertips. “You keep your eyes open. You watch this. You watch me. Do you understand?” He snarled, his grip getting tighter and tighter until you forced yourself to nod, opening your eyes once more.
Immediately, the terrifyingly angry look on his face dissolved back to a kind smile. “That’s my girl. Now you keep looking at me ok. This is a big moment for us, this is the beginning of our new lives. You’ll see. Everything will be perfect.” He kissed your lips over the gag before pulling away with an excited expression.
“Just lay back and let me do all the work, doll. You’ll never have to lift a finger again.” His hand slipped between your bodies, lining the head of his cock with your entrance. “It’s ok, you won’t feel any pain, the medicine I gave you earlier took care of that. It also had the added bonus of counteracting any birth control in your system.” For a brief moment, you seemed to come back into your body, just as he breached you.
You screamed, Steve just moaned. “S-so tight.” His head dropped between his huge shoulders as his fingers curled into the pillow below your head. He was panting with the effort of forcing more of himself into you as you struggled to take him. The stretch was so much that you felt the air get knocked from your lungs but the further he thrust, the lesser the fire burned within you.
Pleasure rippled through your veins like a drug, setting every nerve alight with an ecstasy you had never known. By the time he finally bottomed out, his muscular thighs meeting your plump backside, you were already dangerously close to cumming. Your mind was quickly going hazy, like tv snow settling over your thoughts, your conscious struggling to find any good reason why your best friend shouldn’t be doing this.
“I’m going to start moving now.” He whimpered through clenched teeth. You could only wiggle your hips in response. The first thrust was soft, almost tentative. But when you’re back arched and you mewled behind the gag, that set him off.
Steve punched into you, each thrust almost directly targeting the deepest points of your cunt, rocketing you to an orgasm you did not want. “I’m going to fuck you like this every day until I know you’re pregnant. Keep you tied to this fucking bed as you should be. Because I deserve this, I deserve a loving wife and children. And you’re going to give it to me because you love me.”
The knot in your stomach wound even tighter as he shifted backwards so he could now thrust upwards, directly into your g-spot. “All those dates with other boys, those stupid crushes, even getting a job so far from me. It was all to get my attention to get me to prove myself to you. That I could be worthy of giving you all the children you could ever want.”
You were practically drooling now, your eyes rolled back in your head. “And now I have you. I’m going to fucking breed you and keep you that way. You’ll always be pregnant. Fuck! You’ll look so beautiful with a big round belly, letting me wait on you hand and foot while you grow our little ones.” He throbbed within you as his thrusts started to hitch.
“All you have to do is cum. Just cum doll and we can start our new life together. Cum doll, for me.” And then you shattered. Stars exploded behind your eyes and a stream of wetness escaped your overly full pussy. Steve groaned into your hair as you tightened around him, suckling him in as deep as he could go and he met his own end. One last wave of heat washed over you as he threw his head back and roared his release.
As you both slowly came down from your highs, Steve carefully slipped from you, going slow enough to prevent any of his seed from escaping. “That’s my good girl. Just stay right there.” He leaned over to the bedside table where he grabbed a small blue plug which he quickly slipped between your sore lips. You hissed as it went into you but he just cooed and lovingly rubbed your hip as he set it in place.
“There we go. Now get some rest doll, I’m not stopping until I know you’re pregnant.” And despite the panic that was quickly rushing back into your mind, exhaustion quickly overpowered you, forcing your eyes closed once more.
Steve smiled as he watched you fall asleep. He kissed your forehead and rechecked your bindings before he walked back out into the kitchen, only glancing at the shattered remains of your phone. That boy you had been seeing had called one too many times for his patience to manage but he would rein in his temper in time for the start of your family.
The vial still sitting on the dining room table only had one more dose left but he doubted you needed anymore than that. You would fight him when you awoke once more but Steve could keep you down for a couple months, you should mellow out by then. Of course, the baby would help.

Let’s Roll | Vox x OATSH Reader
No prior knowledge of the series required, other than reader is an overlord & Vox is new to Hell.
Tumblr media
Summary: You drag Vox to the rolling rink. He reminisces on life and how different things are now.
Vox wasn’t sure what he’d been expecting when you came back into his reality. It wasn’t like things had been before you died. Too much time had passed and too many things had changed. No matter how much he had wanted to dip you into a kiss when he saw you, he didn’t.
He was mostly caught of guard by how much hadn’t changed than what had. You dragged him around Hell like you once dragged him around New Orleans. You liked mostly the same foods. (He had caught you eating raw demon parts Rosie offered though.) You enjoyed the same activities. You were, for the most part, the same.
The biggest changed was that you seemed more free. You didn’t seem like you were constantly looking over your shoulder. Instead, you actually relaxed, even when in public.
It was nice to see.
It was an adjustment, to have you back after so many years without you but it was one he was happy to make. One of the many things he was getting used to was the fact that you could just appear.
One minute he was cooking an egg over the stove while he waited for his bread to toast, the next, he felt his heart stutter because he turned around and there you were.
“Fucking Hell!”
“I do believe I can tell you exactly why you’re in fucking Hell,” you said. You pointed between the toaster and the egg. “That. That’s the sin that landed you here. What the fuck is that?”
Gathering his wits, he rolled his eyes. You’d had this conversation before. “Breakfast.”
“Disgusting.”
He turned his back to you and grabbed a plate. “Is there a reason you’re here?” he asked. “Aside for insulting my food choices, of course.”
“Insulting you will always be my top priority,” you said. He nodded his head along sarcastically. “But, yes! I did have another reason. About two months ago a roller rink opened up.”
“And you’re telling me this now because. . .?”
“Because now it won’t be as busy and I want to go,” you told him. “You’re coming with me.”
“You sound very sure of that.”
“Are you seriously going to tell me you have plans?”
The deadpan tone and judgmental eyebrow raise almost made him want to lie. He’d been in Hell for nine months total, knowing you for seven. He really didn’t have many responsibilities yet.
He’d gotten himself employed, was able to keep a decent roof over his head so far. You’d casually brought up soul contracts before. Then you’d delve into detailed discussions on how they worked, what they were. He found himself thinking they sounded a lot of regular business contracts with higher stakes. He’d yet to procure one just yet though.
He didn’t have anything planned. You were right. He hated to admit it but he hated the thought of passing up time with you more.
“I don’t have anything planned for this week, no,” he said.
Vox took a bite of his egg on toast. He silently laughed to himself when he saw your nose scrunch up at the action. You stared at the food in his hand for a moment, glared at it.
You shook your head. “Then you’re coming with me. I’ve actually never been before.”
That gave him pause, “You haven’t?” and you wanted him to be with you the first time you did?
“No, is that a problem?”
“Not at all.”
“Good, well, I’m going to go. I’ve got a busy day but—“ you yanked open the door— “I’ll see you tonight!”
You puckered your lips in a mock kiss before you slid out, closing the door behind you. Vox felt himself begin to heat at the action.
Then it dawned on him, “You could have used the door when you came in!”
He expected to hear roaring laughter from you but when he heard none, he went to open the door himself. He looked both ways down the street but you were nowhere to be seen.
Of course you’d just up and vanish, only use the door for show.
Vox held onto your hands as he helped you up. Your grip on his hands was enough to hurt but he didn’t let it show. Instead, he smiled.
“You’re doing great,” he promised, even though your stance was too wide and your tail was flicking wildly behind you, trying to help you balance. “Stand up a bit straighter.”
You tried to but immediately moved your hands so they gripped his forearms. He moved own to your elbows. He pulled you closer, trying to guide your posture using his own.
When you finally got stable enough that you weren’t wobbling just by standing, he loosened his hold on you. In contrast, you tightened yours.
“Don’t you let go of me, Vox,” you said.
“I’d never dream of it.”
He moved back without warning, prompting you to follow. You glared at him. He smiled. The night continued on like this.
Despite you being more enthusiastic to go, he was clearly the one more confident here.
In life, you would never. He would have never expected this kind of behavior from you in life. You were too concerned with remaining in control but he got to see the you he once cherished in private moments all the time. It was intoxicating.
“My feet hurt more than I thought they would,” you said at the end of the night. “I thought it would be similar to just a normal day walking around, but no, this is worse.”
He leaned close to you with a smirk, “Would you like me to carry you?”
You met his gaze head on. “I wouldn’t say no to the offer.”
His smug look fell off his face immediately. Your laughter filled the surrounding air. He debated whether or not it was a fair trade. His embarrassment for your amusement. He eventually decided no. Your amusement was worth far more.

Zutara Week 2023: Day 3
Read it on AO3 | @zutaraweek
Everyone seems to know that Zuko and Katara plan to get married someday. The only question left is when they'll finally get around to it.
For what feels like the dozenth time in a row, Zuko checks his own pocket. In his thick polar leopard fur parka, even a set of solid gold hair beads and combs is small enough, light enough to feel insubstantial. Still, he is aware of its presence. Almost too aware of it at times.
“I’m surprised the two of you haven’t gotten this all settled before now.” There is a familiar look in Hakoda’s eyes, the same one that Uncle gives him every time the subject of marriage comes up. A look of curiosity and impatience that usually comes just before another casual inquiry about when Zuko plans to marry Katara. But Hakoda isn’t quite as pushy as Uncle. “I wouldn’t have blamed you if you’d decided to elope before you made it back to the South Pole.”
Zuko offers a sheepish shrug. “Apparently that’s not the proper way to do things. I’ve thought about it every day for months now, and I doubt Katara would have minded, but I don’t need to make her life any more difficult by proposing the wrong way.”
“And what about my life?” Kanna thumps her walking stick against the floor. “I’m not getting any younger here. If you two don’t hurry up, I’ll never get to meet my great-grandchildren.”
Hakoda frowns. “Mother.”
“It’s a fact of life, dear. We can’t all be King Bumi and live as many centuries as we please.”
“I’m going to ask her,” Zuko says. “Before we go north again, I swear.” His pulse quickens at the sound of his own admission, and he checks his pocket for reassurance. The engagement gift itself is as close to perfect as he can ever hope, but he’s less sure about his ability to actually propose. “I’m not sure about kids yet, but you’ll at least know if she wants to marry me before we leave.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t worry about that part.” Kanna waves a knobby hand at him. “I’ve known my granddaughter long enough to know the look she gets in her eyes when she’s made up her mind. She’s decided what she’s going to say. And frankly, I don’t think she would have dragged you all the way down here if it was no.”
Though Zuko’s heart still races, he manages a smile before Katara bursts into the house, cheeks flushed with cold, and hair glistening with ice crystals at its tips.
“There you are,” Kanna says. “We were just talking about you, weren’t we, boys?”
Zuko feels his face flush, and Katara looks from him to Kanna and back again. “Well, that’s always reassuring. Thanks, Gran-Gran.” Before there can be any further response, Katara grabs his hand and pulls back toward the door again. “I think we’re going to leave before you fill my boyfriend’s head with any more embarrassing stories.”
He makes no effort to resist, and before he knows it, Katara has led him out into the snow and halfway down the street toward the burgeoning waterbending academy.
“So how bad is it?” she asks, looping her mittened hands around his arm. “Did they tell you about the time when I froze all my dad’s underwear to the side of the council hut because he wouldn’t let me keep an otter penguin in our tent?”
His eyebrow creeps ever so slightly upward. “You did?”
“Okay, I’m going to take that as a no, and also as a sign that I need to stop giving away my secrets.” Still walking, she buries her face in his arm. “Stop me the next time I try to embarrass myself, okay?”
A snort bursts out of him. “I would, but I know for a fact that Uncle tells you so much worse about me every chance he gets. Even Sokka is too busy to tell me any embarrassing stories about you most of the time.”
“I’d really like to keep it that way.” They make it only a step or two farther before her mood seems to lighten again, and she pulls just far enough back to steer him around a corner. “Maybe you can come with me to watch waterbending lessons tomorrow instead of spending the whole morning alone with Dad and Gran-Gran.”
He certainly isn’t opposed to the idea. Any excuse to spend more time with her is always welcome, even if all that entails is sitting quiet at the sidelines while Katara guides a group of noisy, energetic children through their waterbending forms.
He agrees, and as Katara leads him past the bending academy, pointing out all the practice space and sparring areas, he checks his pocket one more time. The combs and beads still rest there, exactly where they should be, and Zuko lets out a long, slow breath. Two opposing impulses battle inside his chest—on the one hand, he’s been waiting to find the right moment, the perfect moment for weeks now. If she’s going to remember this for the rest of their lives, the least he can do is propose to her properly.
But on the other hand, his patience with himself is running thin, and the brilliant warmth of her enthusiasm strains his resolve to its breaking point. If he doesn’t ask her soon, he might well lose his mind.
So when their winding path takes them to the far side of the village, he can hardly bring himself to stop alongside her.
“Oh, spirits, we should probably go back before you freeze out here.”
“What?” Though his face tingles a bit when a breeze passes by, though he’s certain that his cheeks are crimson from the chill, he doesn’t feel cold. Not enough to turn back, at least. “No, I’m fine. It isn’t that cold.”
Katara raises an eyebrow.
“It isn’t,” he insists. “I was just—thinking.”
“About what?”
Under the intensity of her gaze, his mouth goes dry, and it takes all his will to keep from checking his pocket again. Instead, he nods toward the path leading out of the village. “I was thinking that there’s probably a great view from the hill over there. Especially around sunset.”
Her lips twitch into a crooked smile, and the grip on his hand tightens ever so slightly. “You do realize that the sun isn’t really going to set for a few more days, right? If you want to wait out there until sunset, you really will freeze.”
“In that case, I guess I can settle for half an hour. But I think you’re underestimating my ability to keep myself warm.”
“I could never. You’re the one who keeps my feet warm every night.” She bumps him lightly with her hip before starting up the path. “But you might be underestimating the South Pole’s wind.”
It’s all that Zuko can do to keep his composure as they make their way up the sloping path. But he waits, and when they reach the crest of the hill, Katara stretches before turning a brilliant smile back on him.
“Okay, I’ll admit it. Freezing or not, this view is worth it.”
Though Zuko has trouble focusing on the landscape, he can’t help but agree with her. The afternoon sun paints shining bronze streaks through her hair, and her eyes shine as bright as he’s ever seen them before.
He grasps her hand before she can go any further. “Katara—I wanted to ask you something.” His heart sits in the back of his throat. Despite her family’s confidence, despite his own suspicion that Katara will say yes, he can’t seem to push the worry away.
“Oh?” She looks up, and her gaze pierces him.
Silently, he thanks the spirits that it’s cold enough to keep his mittens on so that Katara won’t know how much his palms are sweating. He fumbles in his pocket until at last his fingers close around the little box of combs and beads. “Being with you has been one of the best things that’s ever happened to me. Every day that we’re together, you mean more to me, and now—” He succeeds in extracting the box from his pocket and fumbles to turn it right side up.
Before he can finish, Katara lets out a squeak of surprised excitement and claps her hands to her mouth. “Yes. Yes, of course I will.”
Zuko blinks, and a surprising amount of tension leaves his chest and shoulders all at once. “You—you realize I haven’t finished the question yet. Right?”
“Oh! Right, I knew that.” She makes an apparent effort at bringing her expression back under control, then motions for him to continue. “Go on.”
Despite his best effort at solemnity, a smile breaks across his face. “I’m not sure I can remember what I wanted to say anymore. I swear I had this all planned out yesterday.” Looking down, he clears his throat and slides open the richly engraved lid so that she can see the beads and the combs lying in neat rows inside their case. “But I love you, Katara. And even if I can’t remember the right words, I would be honored if you would marry me.”
This time, Katara isn’t content to merely smile at him. This time, she springs forward and throws her arms around his neck. “Yes. Of course I’ll marry you.”
Zuko laughs, and as his arms close tight around her waist, the world seems to slow.
Right now, with Katara in his arms and the future opening up around them, all the urgency in the world is gone.

Scoops Ahoy | A Trapped Prequel | Eddie Munson
Master List | Part 1
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Reader
Word Count: 3.1k
Authors note: Here is a prequel to Trapped, Reader is working with Robin and Steve at Scoops Ahoy and they find out about her crush on Eddie. All wholesome vibes
Tumblr media
Shit shit shit, you scrambled to lock your car door as your feet nearly tripped over themselves to get to work on time. It was a useless waste of energy, seeing as your watch already told you that you were five minutes late. Dodging through the busy crowds of StarCourt didn’t make the trip any easier, your feet scraping against the floor.
As you finally hit the ice cream shop a resounding “You’re late!” comes from the back from your co worker.
“I know!” You groan, your backpack juggling as you jog to swipe your card.
The shop was partially busy, a few groups of teenagers giggling their way through their single scoops of ice cream. Robin perks her head into view, organizing the stock. You give her a curt smile, not having known her very well, yet. Things were certainly less awkward with Steve around, but the shop owner rarely had the three of you all working the same shift. In today’s case Robin was opening, Steve was closing.
Only two more hours until he came in.
“Can you work front counter for now? My patience with these toddlers has vanished.” Robin pleads with you, and you had to admit, she did seem more worn out than normal. She leans forward to you. “One of them threw ice cream onto the wall. Took me ten minutes to clean it up.”
You nod, placing the stupid hat on.
The sounds of a group of teenagers making their way in. You sigh, turning to face them. “Hi guys, how can I help you?”
Samples. Of course, they wanted samples.
Typical.
-
“You know what I’ve noticed?” Robin asks you out of nowhere as you start to replace a tub of one of the flavours.
“Hmm?” You ask, placing the old flavour on the floor.
She flips through a magazine, barely paying attention to the actual words. “While Harrington strikes out over and over, you haven’t hit on anyone.” She tells you, her eyebrows furrowed as she glances to you.
“Okay. And?” You ask, putting the new tub in with a resounding thud.
“So, what’s the deal? Cause unlike him, you’ve been hit on.”
You sigh, your eyes fleeting to him. He sits in the food court, waiting, playing with a lighter in his hands absentmindedly. His forearm was red, still healing from the bats he had just gotten two weeks ago.
You knew it was two weeks ago because you had clocked the day he wondered through the food court with saran wrap around it.
You cleared your throat, barely managing to climb out of the rabbit hole you find yourself falling deeper into by the day.
“Pssht.” You dismiss her, squinting your eyes in response. “No one is hitting on me. Are you even paying attention?”
“Are you? Cause Tommy? All over you.” She answered, her eyes on the page in front of her.
“What? Tommy Hagan hasn’t even come in here.” You argue, pointedly proving her wrong.
“No, not douchebag Tommy! Tommy Miller! You know, total non jerk wad, plays on the basketball team…ring a bell?” Now that she mentions it, you did remember serving him some Rocky Road earlier. If he did flirt with you, you were too distracted to even pay attention to Tommy’s loitering at the register.
“Not really.” You tell her, and you pick up the empty tub to bring it to the trash.
“Oh, you have a boyfriend, or something?” Robin asks as you reach face to face with her in the back.
You sigh, crossing your arms and leaning onto a table right next to you. You hesitate in your answer, but you had a feeling she wouldn’t let go so easily. “Or something.”
“Oooh, so you like someone!” She lights up, drumming on the tabletop. “Who?”
You walk away from the conversation, your heart beating out of your chest. How is the new coworker the person who finds out about him first? “He doesn’t come in the ice cream shop.” You tell her, your eyes flickering to him talking to one of the jocks. It’s always a blink and you miss it exchange, and he has the movements mastered so no one picks it up. Another deal done.
“But he hangs in the mall.” Robin deducts, following closely behind you.
“Possibly.”
“Oooh.” She grins, leaning forward onto her elbows and glancing passed the glass doors toward the mall’s crowd through the window. “Any hints?”
“Nope.”
“How long have you liked them, like a week?” She asks.
“Longer.”
She squints, leaning into you. “How much longer?”
You walk away from her, starting to pick up the trash on the tables. “Just, longer.” You tell her, working around a table of an elderly couple working slowly on their cones.
“I see.”
You continue to clean the lobby, attempting to calm your heart. You glance outside again, and he’s nowhere to be seen. Oh, well he’d be back every fifteen minutes, like clockwork.
The trash is thrown out and you grab a sanitizing cloth, wiping down the Mint Chocolate Chip somehow splattered in between the seats. You look up while you work, annoyed at the elbow grease that is being required of you. Wasn’t this job supposed to be easy?
As a bead of sweat drips down your forehead, annoyed as shit You get up, barely paying attention to where you were walking when Eddie passes by the store, and your big toe collides with a chair when the passing hope of him finally making his way through the doors.
You lean forward, resting your hands against the table you stumbled into and attempting to control your breathing when you hear Robin.
“Holy shit.”
Fuck. “No. Wait. It’s not what you think.”
“So, it’s not Eddie Munson? Because that was not just a trip and stumble.”
“Fine, it is. But just let it go, ok?”
“Hey, why would I judge?” She says, putting her hands up to surrender. “You never hit anyone, and now I know why. You’re clearly into him.”
“Into who?” Steve comes from the back, having taken the secret tunnels as always.
“No one.” You tell him, giving a look to Robin.
Robin silently begs you, giving you some wide eyes as her hands plead. You shake your head at her, daring her to say something.
“Alright, whatever. Did you manage to clean out the freezer like Frank asked us to?” Steve asks, swinging his arms absentmindedly.
You brush passed him, placing the cloth still in your hands into the soiled cloths bucket. “’Fraid not, Buckley insists upon harassing me today.”
Robin smiles, a piece of information she can hold over Steve in her arsenal.
“Well, I’m gonna do the front counter. How bout you two get us caught up on the freezer?” You offer, trying to get away from them both.
“Of course, he might come in, after all.” Robin whispers under her breath, and you give her a death glare as she giggles and walks into the freezer.
“Did I miss—” Steve starts, and the both of you walk a way before he even has a chance to finish it. Steve looks up to the sky, exasperated. He literally just started his shift.
-
As much as Steve tried to pry what he had missed out of Robin, she gave nothing away. Not even the inkling that you liked someone to begin with. She knew he would find out eventually, after all, you weren’t exactly subtle about it, but she looked forward to the very day.
On one particular hot summer day, Eddie was in the food court before Robin even put out the open sign. She grinned, as she has started to pick up a pattern. If he’s there from morning, it means he’ll be all day.
Somehow Steve still hasn’t picked up on your tendencies to daze off while serving a customer or your slow pace while you mop up a spill during these specific days, but she has a feeling he’ll figure it out quite soon.
As always, her instincts are right.
You finish cashing out a customer, wishing them well as they head out the doors to the shop. You stare off to him, watching him place his long curls into a low bun, his bangs framing his face gorgeously. Somehow just the sight of it made your mouth water.
Pile it with his muscle shirt and his ripped black jeans, it was a wonder you got any work done at all.
God, you wanted to kiss him stupid.
Steve comes from the back from opening the back door for the kids yet again, scaring the living hell out of you. “You’re…a bit spacey today, huh.” He comments, leaning onto his hands on straight arms.
“That’s one word for it.” Robin says, laughing as she cleans one of the tables.
You roll your eyes, swallowing your remarkably dry throat, despite the excess drool in your mouth.
“Ooh.” Steve says as a group of pretty girls come in, bumping you by the hip to move from the cash. Your mouth drops open in bemusement, baffled by the demonstration of his desperation.
You go around him to stock the napkins. Suddenly as clear as clear can be you hear Eddie’s laugh from out the door, and he is right there. You stumble over yourself, losing the metal dispenser to the floor. The breath is stolen from your body, and you hold yourself stable, thinking this cannot be a normal reaction.
Steve witnesses your stumble as he’s scooping, signalling quickly with his eyes to see if you were okay. You smile weakly at him, nodding. Eddie’s full body laugh echoes in your mind, making something in you wish to know what made him laugh so hard.
No matter how dumb it was that he laughed at you had hoped to one day be on the receiving end of it.
You stumble over your feet to shake it out, yanking your dumb hat off as you make your way to the back to catch your breath.
Robin walks over to Steve, who is confused as to why you seemed so off. “Anything?”
“No, just The Freak and her tripping over her own feet.”
“And you think that has nothing to do with…?” She fades off, and she leaves to let Steve think it through.
An hour later, you’re on the front counter again as Steve does a bulk of replacements. You’re assisting another teenager go through every flavour for free samples. She requests a sample of Brownie Fudge, and you completely miss it, Eddie directly in front of the store, chatting as he rests his elbow on the ledge has you unable to breathe.
“Uh, hello?” She asks you, looking at her friends with a sour look on her face.
“Sorry, here you go.” Steve offers, handing it to her.
Steve glances out, again, only seeing Eddie and it all fucking clicks.
“Oh!” He says loudly, jerking his head into position.
“There it is!” Robin calls from the back, sounding outrageously excited.
The girl and her friends are put off by this entire interaction, claiming they’ll eat at DairyWorld, instead.
As soon as they left the store, for once the booths were emptied, Steve cannot hold it in any longer. “You’ve been crushing on Eddie the Freak Munson?” He asks, finally understanding why Robin has been so eager to tell him.
“He’s not a freak,” the sentence left your mouth before you could stop it.
“So, that’s a yes.” Fuck.
“She won’t even talk about it.” Robin commented, leaning on the counter with one hand on her hip.
“Didn’t think he was her type.” Steve says crossing his arms.
“You’re one to talk about type.” Robin huffs out. “You dated Nancy Wheeler of all people, the Priss herself.”
Your eyes widen at the unearned sass given to Nancy’s first and last name. “I’d be careful with that.” Steve warns her.
“Why, cause you dated her?”
“No, cause,” he clicks his tongue, pointing his thumb towards you, “they’ve been friends for years, and their families, even longer.”
“What?”
You shrug, it’s the truth.
Robin seems to get over it quick enough. “I’ve only noticed last week but she won’t tell me how long she’s liked him for.”
“Fine. It’s …” you finish the sentence under your breath, the words coming out jumbled.
“What?”
“Two and a half years…” You say again, just a little louder.
“Huh?”
“Two and a half years. I’ve liked him for two years, okay?”
“Whoa.” Robin gasps, her eyes wide.
Steve lets out a chuckle. “Damn. I liked Nance for about a week until I asked her out.”
“I know it’s pathetic, ok?” You ask, retreating to the back of the shop. They follow you, both rushing to clarify their reactions. “I could do with out the external confirmations, thank you very much.”
“Hello?” Somone calls out from the front counter, waiting to be served.
“In a minute!” Steve barks out. “Honestly, it’s almost endearing.”
“Almost?” You ask him, intrigued by the specification.
“Hey, take what you can get, you stalker.”
“Stalker?”
“How often does he make deals?”
“Every ten to fifteen minutes.”
“See?”
He had you, there.
-
As you punch your card out for your break, Steve is leaning over the counter, absentmindedly reading one of Robin’s magazines and Robin as distractedly restocking. It wasn’t much of a day and despite your numerous peeks, it appears that Eddie wasn’t making an appearance. However your mood rises when you see him regularly, knowing he wasn’t in the mall helped you relax somewhat.
You make your way down the escalator, observing different vendors to decide to eat from. Finally, you pick a spot, somewhere you found yourself floating to on a regular basis.
You stand in line, the line moving agonizingly slow, thinking by the time you will get your order your break will already be mostly done. You only got thirty minutes, after all. You wanted to spend at least five of them off your feet.
You’re now second in line to the register, finding the strength not to be annoyed about how this one customer had decided to order takeout for her whole family and you literally just wanted number 28 for the millionth time.
Your eyes are zoned out on the menu when someone bumps into you from behind, and you turn around to see who the hell you needed to shoot your annoyed glance at when the breath is stolen from your lungs.
Eddie.
“Oh shit, I’m so sorry.” He tells you having bumped into you backwards, a friend of his you presumed from Hellfire standing across from you also offering an apology from pushing him into you.
Your brain begs you to speak, to say something. Nothing will come out. You nod to him, implying it was ok.
Eddie’s face breaks into a half smile, and there’s a moment of what you think is recognition on his face when one of the guys he’s been hanging with calls him over.
“Hello? Next, please!” The food vendor calls you, and you have to turn away from Eddie jogging away from you, your breathing shallow, and your heartbeat in your throat.
You beg yourself to calm down enough to order the food but your appetite has seemed to have mysteriously disappeared.
-
Eddie wasn’t around the mall very much until the following Friday.
In a stroke of luck, according to Steve, at least, all three of you were working that late June afternoon.
For some reason, Eddie was in your head deeper than ever, and the distractions he was providing was causing all too much chaos.
Steve and Robin insist you stay on cash, and you’re sure it’s because you keep fumbling around. Really, it’s because Steve and Robin have been keeping a tally on how many times they catch you staring wistfully at him.
The dopey smile on your face as you watched him made Steve question how he had ever missed it. Robin points to the tally for Steve remaining above yours. “You’re a doofus.”
Just once, you had hoped that he would have a craving for ice cream, but it just didn’t seem to happen. Instead, he galivanted between dealing in the middle of the food court and several areas of the mall. You had a feeling it wouldn’t be the last time you would be stuck watching from afar, and honestly that masochistic part didn’t mind.
As long as you could still see him.
You swiped your card out, ignoring Steve’s teasing as you tossed your backpack over your shoulder, taking the hit.
Something Steve never told you, however, was that five minutes after you walked out that day Eddie stumbled into the store. “Harrington.” Eddie greets, a smirk on his face.
“Munson.”
“I’ve been wanting ice cream for like an hour, so I’ll get a three scoop of Triple Chocolate Chunk.” He hands Steve a 20, and Steve spends too much time internally laughing at the irony of it.
And as Eddie takes his time with the ice cream, enjoying each scoop of the spoon with a little too much fervour, Steve is damn glad you missed it because he would’ve been scraping you off the floor.
When Robin comes in for a mid-shift for once, Steve is all too excited to share the happenings of the previous night. Robin’s eyes widen, and it is understood that neither one of them will tell you, if anything for your own good.
-
“Wait, so you worked at Scoops, at the mall?” Eddie asked one night, sitting across from you on a couch as a movie played in the background.
Your legs are entangled, you eating ice cream out of a Ben&Jerry’s pint. “Yep.”
“Huh.” Eddie laughs without humour.
“What?”
“I never saw you when I went in, only Buckley and Harrington.” He tells you, licking his spoon absentmindedly.
“Wait, what?” You ask, sitting up quickly to get the story straight.
“Yeah. I went in after long days of dealing all the time for some triple chocolate, usually had the whole shop to myself.” Your face must’ve fallen at this, cause he looks to you in concern. “What?”
“I-I just used to watch you when I worked there. I hoped one day you would want some ice cream and it would be my shot at finally saying something to you.” Eddie’s head tilts at this, smiling at you endearingly. “And yet I was never there when you came in. God, that’s ironic. And maddening”
“I mean. Maybe fate wanted to wait until I could lick the ice cream off you instead of the spoon.” He says, his eyes darkening as he licks his silver spoon.
You smirk at him, your mouth watering, and this time, you can give in to the want of kissing him stupid, which is exactly what you did, the cool of the ice cream you continued to eat earning the whimpers out of his mouth and satisfying that girl that once drooled over his exposed neck.
