Oh! Do you have some examples in mind? I have some too but they might be ✨️controversial✨️ so I wanna see what you think first.

Jacob. I will die fighting this fight. Edward always creeped me out, he was way too controlling, and then we had new moon Jacob being described as Bella's personal sun when Stephanie literally opens twilight by stating how much Bella loved the sun and warmth. And then what do we get? Sexual assault. Why? So that controlling stalker somehow fits all points in that one list of signs of abuse in relationships would look better. The summer I turned pretty, Jere is better than Conrad, but then he "cheated" to send Belly back to Conrad. I literally saw an interview with Jenny Han where she says something along the lines of "yeah, Jere is better but he's just not Conrad". Look, if your only argument for one of the options in the triangle is "he's just not *blank*" you failed as a writer. This happens a lot in books with the broody vs sunshine type triangle in my opinion because the author ends up building up the sunshine more because they are less interested in them so they are justifying to themselves the why they are an option, then they end up having to make them do something bad because the audience ends up relating to the second guy more. I stopped reading romances with the triangle because I was TIRED of having the "oh but she ends up with *blank* is better" "okay, but why?" "because he's *blank*" if that's all you have, you failed to write your story. But tell me your controversial ones. I don't think you can get more controversial than me saying I'm team Jacob kspspspakapaka

Like you could be playing while having a tv show on in the background, talking to yourself about how much you love them, and he’d be so mad that some heathen he’s never even heard of has your attention

if they overhear you talking about another character - or who they think is another character - they're going to react badly VERY badly.

if they had the ability to they'd be lying on the floor hyperventilating and struggling to breathe - why is that character better, they could probably be alright with you having a crush on a person like a real irl person who you can interact with. But another fictional character who they don't know is even aware or not? HELL NO

it'll send them into a spiral, doubting and questioning themselves to no end, wanting to better themselves and make themselves more like the other character you have a crush on

but remember I said think? yeah if they didn't know the nicknames given back to the comic boys, like sksw link being called sky - he'll be jealous of HIMSELF. they're petty like sad wet cats who demand attention. and also kinda dumb too.

peterick vs ferard is so funny to me like. yeah sure ferard kissed in front of you on stage (or rather you watched them kiss from about 6 grainy videos because you weren’t old enough to be at that concert) i get it. but peterick is crazy bc literally from one of their first music vids the message was “we are one and the same person if one of us dies we both die” and that was in 2003. their souls fuck nasty style on the spiritual plane, open up your chakras and feel it!!!!!

trying to convince myself that intrusive thoughts can also be like. UNWANTED thoughts? like they can be conscious, it isn't always just a random out of left field thing. it can be thinking something and then being like hey what the fuck that's fucked up and not a thought I want in my head why is that there? I guess just trying to convince myself that my worries and spirals affect my subconscious, which affects the things that pop into my head AND that I end up thinking, and that it isn't a reflection of some deep evil inside me
