Business has been slow.

It's not like you expect your cafe to be packed to the rafters all day long, but you've had a grand total of four customers today. One of them only came in to ask where Starbucks was.

Frankly, you're not sure the cafe can afford to stay afloat for much longer. Gotham isn't known to preserve small businesses, and the conglomerates (cough, Wayne Enterprises) are taking over the world anyway.

So today is a reading day. You might even close early.

You're at a table in the back, so absorbed in Poirot's sleuthing that you don't hear the door open. It isn't until you turn the page and look up that you see your resident lurker waiting quietly at the display case. You flinch so hard that you spill iced tea on your jeans.

"Shit," you murmur, grabbing a wad of napkins and patting yourself dry.

Jason (as is written on his coffee cup) looks up from the pastries, teal eyes wide. You smile briefly at him. For such a big guy, his footsteps are astonishingly soft.

"Is everything okay?" he asks, voice rough like he doesn't speak much.

"Yeah, fine. You just startled me—I didn't hear you come in. Were you waiting long? Sorry about that."

"Oh. No, I wasn't. Sorry." He shifts weight between his feet. "You seemed pretty engrossed in your book. I didn't, uh, want to disturb you."

"Oh, hey, don't worry about that! It's literally my job to be here," you say, though you can't help but melt over how freaking sweet that is.

Jason visits you a minimum of twice a week. He's been coming for a couple of weeks. You know a whole three things about him: he's a university student, he pretty much only dresses in red or black, and he's unfairly cute.

At first, you were reasonably wary of him because it's Gotham, and he's so damn quiet. It's a little scary. You thought maybe he was an undercover spy casing the joint. Now you know he's just awkward.

"Slow day?" he asks.

"Slow year, more like. How are you? How was your exam?"

He blinks. "Exam?"

"Didn't you have an American lit exam last week?"

"Oh. Uh, yeah. Wow. Yes, I did. It was okay. Got an A."

"That's great! I knew you'd ace it."

His cheeks turn pink. Okay, you actually know four things about him: he blushes a lot.

You go to start the coffee machine. "Do you think you'll—"

"I-I have to go."

You watch, stunned, as he hurries out the door. That's when you notice the fifty dollar bill in your tip jar.

You don't know if you should bring up yesterday. Jason's back; that probably means everything's fine, right? You're not sure if you said something wrong, though. You've gone over the interaction a hundred times since and you can't figure out why he's so skittish around you.

"Hi. Hibiscus tea, please," he says, stoic as always.

You prepare his order, yesterday's interaction still fresh in your head. You should say something, shouldn't you? Or...

"Sorry about yesterday," Jason blurts, so fast you almost miss it. "Running out, I mean. I was, uh—I forgot something."

Well. Looks like he's going to bring it up for you.

"Oh, you don't have to apologize! If I said something wrong..."

Jason shakes his head fervently. "No, God no. You're perfect."

Your eyebrows shoot up. He turns red this time.

"I mean—not perf—well, you're amazing, don't get me wrong! Except, like, what is perfect, y'know? My brother has gotten into the habit of calling everything perfection like some kind of sitcom character. Alfred will make pie, and Dick'll go, "Alfie, that was perfection." And I feel like it's such an exaggeration—"

Jason's mouth snaps closed. He rubs his forehead.

"Um, I actually have chronic foot-in-mouth disease. It gets really, stupidly bad. Sorry."

You're trying hard not to giggle. You want to smother him in frosting and take a bite.

"You're really sweet, you know that?" you say.

"I'm really not," he says with a sigh.

"Not true. Can you do me a favor?"

"Anything."

You go into the kitchen and return with your latest experiment: matcha cream puffs.

"Do you mind trying these for me? You're not allergic to anything, are you?"

Jason's shoulders hunch. "Are you sure you want my opinion?"

"Of course I'm sure," you say happily. "I trust you."

"You trust me," he repeats quietly.

"Yup!"

Jason takes a puff and bites. He starts to nod.

"It's really good. You're really—all your creations are—yeah. It's good."

You squint. "No notes? Really?"

"They're perfection, as my brother would say."

Fuck, you like him so much.

"Have another one," you say, pushing the tray towards him.

"I shouldn't—"

"Wait! I'll pack you some!" you interrupt, flitting back to the kitchen to get a Tupperware.

Jason helplessly accepts the container of puffs you shove into his hands.

"Let me pay-" he tries to say, but you shake your head.

"Nope! I won't accept payment for these. Not from my favorite customer."

"Your favorite?"

"My favorite," you confirm, grinning.

"Oh." His ears turn pink as he walks to the door, cream puffs in hand. "Uh, right. Thanks. See you tomorrow."

"Jason? Don't you want your tea?"

"Shit. Yeah." He returns to the counter and takes his drink. This he insists on paying for, so you let him, because you do have rent to pay, after all.

"So nice to see you!" you add, because the stiffness in his gait is kind of throwing you off.

He just nods, slipping out the door as quietly as he came.

Today, Jason's in a red workout tank. You have to make the conscious effort to not ogle his arms.

"Hey, Jason!" you say cheerily.

"Hi," he says softly.

"The usual?" you ask, and he looks up in surprise.

"You know my order?"

You gently roll your eyes. "Of course I know your order, silly. Favorite customer, remember?"

"Oh." He looks away, brow furrowed. Then he turns to you and his expression smooths over. "Yes, please. Thanks."

"Sure. Give me one second? I just have to finish decorating some sugar cookies."

"Take your time," Jason says, then goes to skulk by the window.

The door is suddenly swung harder than necessary, thumping the glass.

"Hey!"

You look up from the cookies. A man in a suit is waving his phone impatiently.

"I ordered a dozen muffins. Where are they, huh?" he demands.

"Oh, right! Well, you called ten minutes ago, so they won't be ready till six, sir. Can I get you something while you wait?"

He scoffs and stomps to the counter. You almost back down, but you don't; that's exactly what these bullies want.

"This is exactly why no one eats at dinky cafes like yours. You can't even do this!" he fumes, shoving a finger in your face.

"Sir, like I said, the muffins are baking..."

"I know the city's health inspector personally," the man spits viciously. "One call, and I can—"

"Say one more word."

You blink as Jason is suddenly between you and the customer, stood at his full height. He's all muscle and broad shoulders, looming over the guy. You peek around him.

"What the fuck, man?" the angry customer squawks. "Move!"

"No, you move," Jason says, tone lethal. "Sit quietly at a table and wait for your muffins to bake. Then you can thank the nice baker for waiting on your sorry ass and you're not gonna come back. They have far more patience for entitled fucks than I do."

"Fuck you," the man spits.

Jason calmly closes the distance between them and whispers in his ear, hand like a vice around the jerk's shoulder. You watch as he turns pale, eyes growing wider.

"Sound good?" Jason asks pleasantly, all teeth. The man gapes at him.

Wow. Yeah. This is really doing something for you.

The oven dings. You go to retrieve the muffins, packing them as quickly as possible. You give him the box and the man nods.

"Thanks," he mumbles, then scurries out of the store.

Jason turns to you, and it's like looking at a completely different person.

"You okay?" he asks, posture stiff like he's still prepared for a fight.

You nod, a little dazed.

"Yeah. Wow. Jason, I... you didn't have to do that. I mean, thank you for doing it, but..."

"Hey, that guy was a jackass. And if you have trouble with him or anyone else, call me, okay?"

This side of him stuns you. If you didn't know better, you'd think he had this exchange regularly.

"Call you?" you ask, smiling. "How will I call you if I don't have your number?"

He freezes, eyes wide. "Oh. Uh. Um..."

You lean over, elbows on your counter. He watches you. You cup your hand around your mouth, pretending to divulge a secret.

"This is where you, the cute guy who frequents my struggling cafe, gives me your number."

"You think I'm cute?" he asks.

"Devastatingly so," you say, grinning.

He's quiet for a long moment. Your smile starts to dim.

"Did I read this wrong?" you ask. "If I came off too strong..."

"No!" he says a little too loud. Jason winces. "Sorry. No. I... you're... fuck, I'm not good at this. I don't even really drink tea or coffee, to be honest. I just come in to see you."

"You do?"

Jason sighs. "Yeah. Shit. That's creepy, isn't it?"

he also will naturally want to move a lot faster with the relationship. he’s got a very all or nothing mindset to life however, he will easily adapt to your pace for the relationship, respecting and talking about boundaries. he may act like a little kid but he is pretty good with communication

except his past. he’s gonna take some time to open up about his time prior to joining the x-men. he’ll share everything about New Orleans with you but his childhood? oh that’s gonna take a while.

Remy also deals with nightmares, most of them revolve around his time under Apocalypse’s control as the horseman Death. Some are about his time with Sinister.

he’ll try his best to not wake you up whenever he has one, slipping out of bed quietly and walking around the house.

when you do notice or wake up to one, he won’t be too keen to tell you about the dream but he will accept the comfort. he’ll lay his head on your chest and let you soothe him back to sleep

and the same goes for you if you ever have a nightmare.

Remy's strongest love language is definitely physical touch, this boy cannot keep his hands to himself, whether it's holding your hand while walking together or having his hand on your thigh, inching up further and further, you are going to have a clingy boy on your hands

the bitter wind nips at blakes neck and hands as she trudges back home from the corner store a few blocks away. walking it seems - is the only she was going to be getting her workouts in as she was too tired to do anything after work. she could feel that familiar fatigue now, the droop of her eyes as strangers whip past her in their cars. she had thought that she was just bored and the business of her schedule had been exhausting her, but naps became more frequent and the excuses less plausible. 

when she opens the door to hers and nico’s new place her animals quickly find her - another recent development. charlie, her doberman dog of the past 6 years, was anxious when it came to leaving blake unattended. goldie, the black cat, seemed to pick up on charlies traits and also loved to follow blake around the house. 

blakes phone rings and she answers easily, “yes i’m home now. completely safe,” 

“you shouldn't be out walking so late... it makes me nervous,” her husband replied in a thick swiss accident. she texted him where she was going out of habit, loving to narrate her day to him through brief texts. it made her feel like she was less alone when he was gone. 

“i’ll take the car next time. i was just hungry,” she supplies, setting her two heavy grocery bags onto the counter. “how was the game? i meant to watch but i fell asleep,” 

nico sighs, “you didn’t miss much” 

blake pauses from unloading her food, “i’m sorry. you guys will find your groove soon,” 

there was a brief silence on nico’s end and she could imagine the hurt and upset etched across his face from the teams losing streak. 

“yeah… uh, …” nico stumbles on his words. 

“i love you” blake speaks softly. 

nico sighs, “i love you. I’m sorry for being quiet tonight. i’m just tired of this…” the this in question being losing. 

before blake could manage a reply, the phone was snatched from nico’s hand and a surprisingly energetic jack spoke loudly into the speaker. 

“hey blakey, nico said you weren’t feeling well this week?”

“i’ve just been tired. nothing serious,” blake remarks, continuing her effort in putting her groceries away. she went a little too crazy in the small store and now she had three different salsas and a variety of chips all calling her name… 

“tired… i’m kind of tired too,” jack announces before entering his own conversation with his seatmate. 

the line went quiet again and for a second blake thought jack had hung up on her before nico’s voice sounded through her speaker. “alright well, i’ll let you eat. we’re just driving back to the hotel now so i’ll call before bed,” 

blake hums as she cracks open a jar of salsa labelled scorching, “alright love you, bye”. nico echoes her sentiments before hanging up the call.

three boxes of pregnancy tests sit stacked under the cabinet in the master bedroom. since the teams baby shower last week, blake has had this overwhelming feeling that she was pregnant. it would explain the fatigue, the sickness, all the food, and the animals being so protective over her… she just had to wait for nico to come back home from a roadie so that she could test. 

she was anxiously sitting on the couch with charlie resting across her lap when the front door opens loudly. “blake?” nico calls out, setting his suitcase in the entryway before walking into the living room. 

“hi,” blake breathes out nervously as she wrings her hands in her lap. 

“whats going on? are you okay?” nico’s eyes melt as he tries to study blakes face. 

“i think i’m pregnant,” blake gets off the couch slowly, and nicos eyes follow her every movement. “i just have this feeling and i-”

“have you taken a test?” he asks and the corners of his mouth twitch as his excitement grows. they had been talking about starting to try for a baby a lot recently and nico couldn't wait for them to have a family of their own.

“no but i have some upstairs,” blake explains as nico grabs a hold of her hand. “i wanted to wait for you before taking any” 

five minutes later, nico and blake sit on the edge of their tub as the timer on nico’s phone counted down from 3 minutes. the newlyweds hold onto each other tightly as they eagerly await their results.

soon enough nico’s timer echoes throughout the bathroom and the two are enveloped in nervous tension as they each grab hold of two tests. with shaky hands they flip over all of the tests.

i personally think vil can be shipped with SO many characters (including, but limited to, leona, azul, and idia) just because of his perception of beauty. you’d think with how obsessed he is with his looks he’d be vain and cruel and think beauty is the conventionally attractive features society agreed upon. but he isn’t!! and not a lot of people know that. (my take! :) vil finds beauty not in the conventionally attractive features many others do, he finds beauty in doing the best you absolutely can. in taking care of yourself. and so many of the twst characters do not do that. it’s why yuu is long overdue for an overblot 😭 the characters i listed earlier. (my take!! again! :) leona is super unmotivated to take care of himself and shows a lot of signs of depression!! he stopped giving anything any amount of effort until the spelldrive tournament (which obviously went… not so well) because he felt hopeless and basically?? worthless,, both azul and idia have a low self esteem, i don’t know too much about them (on. book 3… im just a pro listener to my friend’s lore ramblings) so i won’t give my take yet! yuu…….. yuu is…!!!! tries their best of course but. it’s kind of hard to. take care of yourself AND a cat AND all of your friends(?) AND your literal principal at the same time. and also try to have that principal not hang the fact of ‘you’ being poor and having no recourses over your head every time you try and say no when he asks you to help him out with something ridiculous that should not be your problem at all. maybe that was a little specific but. yuu’s been through it is what im getting at. and they are hardly appreciated enough as they should be. now. ENOUGHHHHHH GGGGRRGRGR I WAS LITERALLY THINKING ABOIT THIS EARLIER

yuu is so overlooked as a character, I know they're supposed to be a vessel to project onto but that's a whole Guy to me. a whole Person. like there's so many traits that canon gives them. and one of them is "motherly". whether that's WILLING or not depends on the player, but everyone in CANON!!! makes constant comments about how grim is like yuu's little baby and how yuu essentially takes emotional care of so many students. in the recent event ace said something like "there's crowley's official beast tamer" in reference to how yuu just. takes care of these chaotic little things.

vil is literally the only other character who plays a similar role in the story.

... cause chars like trey and lilia are almost there, but distinctly different in their roles, while vil is THE mother.

one of the things that elevates vilyuu to otp levels for me is that vil is one of the only characters in game that treats yuu with respect, and as an equal. I like to think that he kind of admires yuu, and almost looks up to them in a way, for all they're capable of. yuu having not overblotted or melted down (yet) is probably something vil finds fascinating (and kinda worrying), because he knows them well and he KNOWS how much shit they go through. I'd imagine he's almost envious of the self control they have

and I think they're the closest out of everyone in the overblot gang. yes that includes malleus idc. literally everyone in this game is so fucking mean to yuu but vil isn't.

he canonically has such a huge soft spot for the prefect, platonic or romantic or whatever, that's just. so different from what he shows others. to me

Clearing drafts, have some EAPS Eclipse and Ruin headcanons I plan to use sometime, may have future installments

When Jake asked if pets were allowed, Eclipse made a roomba. It has since been named Norman the floorman. Eclipse does not call Norman by name, and if he does, he denies it. Norman’s name is spelled on its side in sticker letters, and someone keeps taping knives to it and letting it loose in the lab. There is a permanent notice on the lab whiteboard to specifically not do that.

In my eclipse design the safety vest is a spite thing. Lefty would get on to Eclipse about workplace safety. Eclipse figured out that, because of fazbear’s crappy rules, as long as he was complying with one (1) rule then he was fine. Lefty has since conceded but Eclipse doesn’t believe the matter is settled and still wears it regardless. He only takes it off when it’d benefit him to not be seen immediately.

Also in my design, the bracelet is one of those rubber bands in the shape of animals. The one Eclipse has is a cat. On the same note, the bead necklaces (think Mardi Gras necklaces) were given to him by Jake/Andrew when kids were gifting them to their favorite staff. He still doesn’t know how they got ahold of them. (The smiley pin was a gift from Earth.)

Ruin enjoys using hand puppets to entertain small children who won’t understand theatrical references. This is totally not inspired by that guy with the raccoon puppet on tiktok

Ruin doesn’t have a space to himself (or if he does I haven’t picked up on it? In his nightmare episode he wakes up in a party room,) but he’s okay with it because he has a lot more friends and he doesn’t shut all the way off if he does sleep (for fear of nightmares.) I like to think Ballora has invited him to at least one sleepover that ended in late night tea-time conversations. Not “sleeping” properly is causing Ruin a battery issue, but he doesn’t entirely have the means to fix it right now. Instead, he takes steps to manage it.

Ruin has exceeded the expected lifespan of a daycare animatronic, and his memory storage has to be managed in order for new information to store. As much as he’d like to forget the sins of his past, he won’t let himself be free of it, both because he feels he doesn’t deserve that and because they were valuable lessons to him. I have yet to decide exactly how he does this but it involves something akin to Apple's feature of offloading data from apps but not deleting them--for Ruin, this is forgetting exactly how events played out but still knowing they happened. He would remember he was happy when a child gave him a drawing, but he wouldn't remember what the conversation was about before and after was because that's not the part he thought was most important to keep. This would show a level of sentimentality in him.

Ruin’s tendency to be distracted by new surroundings (shown in several episodes) is both a hypervigilance issue and a Sun “constant stimulation” trait working in tandem. Ruin’s most prominent Moon trait is his intelligence and independence, both of which became more prominent out of necessity due to events following the AI merging.

Out of everyone, Ruin would freak out the most if there were an intruder in the daycare—yes, even if he’s not a daycare attendant anymore, and yes, even more than Sunpea. They just show it in different ways. Ruin’s first concern is the children’s safety, dealing the threat second, and he’d seem calm the whole time (he is not, but you won’t know it.) Sunpea’s first concern is the children’s safety, his own safety second, and he’d be visibly upset the whole time. (Whether or not Moonpea has any input is debatable but not the point.) The difference is their levels of self preservation. You can read between the lines in this one, only one of the two had truly failed to protect their children before

One facet of Ruin's past that I think wasn't expanded on enough in canon is the horror of situation vs. purpose. Ruin mentions that he was very good with children, both AIs that are him were daycare attendants and he continued that job for a time. We also know that Ruin had to kill children, or at the very least stand by with the knowledge it was happening. Ruin's job was to look after children, to protect them, and then he was made to do the opposite. When his Creator confronted him, he could have refused, let his Creator kill him, and those children would've died by another's hand. Instead he agreed and likely did it himself. I like to think he had some amount of mercy, as much as he could safely get away with under the watch of infected peers and his Creator. I also think that's why as mentioned in the hc above, he would put himself in danger to protect children in the dimension he promised to help steer in the right direction. He won't fail them this time.

if sephiroth was a woman and he was *exactly the same* i would still like him exactly as much (probably a lot MORE if we're being honest). HOWEVER. square enix does an absolutely deplorable awful embarrassing shit-ass job writing and designing female characters, and i do not believe for one second that they could be trusted with a female version of sephiroth, who they wrote intending her to be female.

i had only heard vaguely of final fantasy until fairly recently, but i knew there was a guy i called "the hot one" with long white hair, and i could tell he was an absolutely ridiculous edgelord from his clothing and design, so i knew i'd like him, if i ever got round to checking out this final fantasy thing. then i heard his name was SEPHIROTH which is a PLURAL TERM for an esoteric religious concept and i laughed so hard i woke up my cat, and decided i had to know more about him. THEN i found out he had A SINGLE BLACK WING and a HUGE SWORD and CAT EYES and i was absolutely done for. heart stolen

my favorite personality trait of sephiroth is his gentleness.

yes i know he's a genocidal maniac who wants to incinerate the planet's population and use it as a spaceship, ignore all that.

pre-nibelheim fire, he's actually one of the gentlest male characters i've ever seen in a video game. and he's not meant to be effeminate or a pathetic pushover, which is usually the only way you see men portrayed as soft or gentle in japanese media (and tbh most western media).

he's the most famous warrior in the world. he's possibly the strongest being on the planet. he could kill you with a snap of his fingers. and despite all that, he is nothing even vaguely resembling an alpha-male toxic masculinity case. he's not even standoffish or arrogant. he's just...gentle. he's soft-spoken, thoughtful, courteous, self-effacing, and compassionate. he treats his subordinates with kindness and respect. he tries to make other people comfortable and thinks of them before himself.

he's not weak, he is using a soft touch and a light step, intentionally, so as not to frighten or damage all the little humans. that is incredibly endearing and a thing i love about him

Hi hello yes more thoughts about this hgduo pre-canon, hunger games/wars au(??) because my brain is rotating them at incredible speeds. (Obligatory cannibalism tw because yeah the lore do be like that.)

Bad originally finds Cellbit while the kid is trying to use a dagger to carve up a body to eat---key word trying. Bad stands back and watches him struggle for about thirty seconds before speaking up: "You're holding that wrong." (The kid jumps about two feet in the air. "WhhUH---") "Also you're not supposed to carve with a dagger, silly. You should really be using a knife. Here." And Bad passes him one of his hunting knives.

Bad mentally dubs Cellbit "Dagger-Kid" because he doesn't know Cellbit's name. When Cellbit later admits he doesn't know his name either, Bad officially dubs him "Dagger-Kid" or "Dagger" for short. ((For the rest of this I'll be calling Cellbit "Dagger")) ((Also I'm not 100% on this name yet but we'll see.))

I should note that I also think it would be funny that every time Dagger does something notable or reveals a new quality about himself, Bad tries to give him a new name. Like, they scavenge a piece of chocolate off one of their victims and Dagger loves it, so Bad tries to suggest, "Oh oh! What if we called you 'Sweets'! Or 'Chocolate'? 'Coco,' maybe?" all of which Dagger (playfully) rolls his eyes at. Bad rotates through nicknames regularly, but Dagger personally sticks with the first name Bad gave him.

Dagger was on his own for two months before he met Bad. He is injured and half-starved and utterly exhausted. The first time they make camp together, Dagger promises he'll take the first watch, but he nods off before even Bad can fall asleep. It's the first time Dagger has felt safe enough to truly relax, so his body just crashes. He sleeps for twelve hours.

This one's honestly more of a general qsmp headcanon I have but it goes here too: Bad teaches Dagger how to throw knives (for combat) and how to do knife tricks (for fun). Current-day Cellbit still remembers how to do the tricks, and he'll often use them as a way of fidgeting when he's thinking---with a pen or pencil instead, though.

One of Dagger's natural talents is stealth. He's not as quiet as Bad, but he's definitely good at it; his cat-hybrid traits definitely lend him a hand here, too. It's the main way Dagger survived before meeting Bad, stealing supplies out of camps while people were sleeping.

Bad, being a demon, doesn't need to eat, drink, or sleep as much as mortals do, and certainly not as much as a teenage boy. To him, it only seems practical that he gives himself smaller portions of their rations, or takes longer nightwatch shifts. But Dagger (who can scarcely imagine ever being not hungry or not tired, much less at the same time) is still grateful and feels somewhat indebted to Bad, even after Bad explains.

Dagger (a cat hybrid and a little more than a bit messed up) bites to show affection. Usually Bad's arm. Any normal guy would be injured by the force of Dagger's bite---Dagger doesn't really seem to understand that not-biting-hard is an option---but Bad doesn't really mind it.

(The truth is that deep down Dagger really wants to hug Bad, but he knows Bad isn't a very cuddly person, and yeah Bad might give him a hug if he asked but he's too afraid to ask so all that affection stays bottled up until it rises rises rises and he just doesn't know what to do with it anymore and it needs OUT---)

Bad thwacks Dagger upside the head with his tail whenever Dagger is being a "little rapscallion" and eventually Dagger starts retaliating. His tail isn't as long or flexible as Bad's but he definitely does try.

Bad has a lot of stories to tell. Some true, some made up on the fly. He's always liked telling stories, and Dagger is a captive audience. He learns Dagger loves mysteries, and suddenly, all of his campfire stories are about spies, and detectives, and red-string cork boards and espionage.

The thing Dagger fears the most is that one morning he'll wake up and Bad won't be there because Bad decided Dagger slowed him down and thus abandoned him. He thinks about this near-constantly. (The thing Bad fears the most is that one morning he'll wake up and look at Dagger and start caring like he used to a long, long time ago. He does not think about this at all.)

My top 10 Solo Leveling characters + explenation.

I know some of you may not agree (especially no. 10), but please don't hate me. I just like them a lot. This is my opinion. Feel free to tell me if I made a mistake or if I spelled something wrong! And feel free to tell me what your top 10 is, too!

Baek Yoon-Ho

I'll be honest, I love Yoonho. He's such a cool character. I love cats/tigers/panthers, all of them. I love the way he acts like an aggressive cat, the way he has cat traits and I love how he can transform into an awesome white tiger-like beast.

2. Lim Tae-Gyu

His personality just screams out sleepdeprived and cocky, but he is not. I love his cocky smile, even though he isn't. When I read the fact that his occupation before his awakening was tennis I came to love him even more. And you got his uniform design. It's awesome!

3. Kenzo Tanaka

I know he doesn't have a lot of screen time, but I love him. He really strikes me as one of those tough guys that are actually soft on the inside. And I love how he is so calm, unlike most other tough guys. He just strikes me as a really nice and caring guy.

4. Lennart Niermann

Lennart is awesome. His personality is awesome, his powers are awesome. I love him. He's such a soft and calm person. Every time he was on screen he made me calm. His powers, though. They make me wild! They're so cool! I mean, just look at that picture! Not to msntion the way he protected Thomas. He knew he wouldn't be a match against someone even stronger than Thomas, and yet he helped Thomas.

5. Min Byung-Gu

He strikes me as one of those softies everyone would love. He's just so nice towards others and he has such a welcoming smile! I love his warm smile! And his design is nice, too. They gave him a nice color palette. The way he uses a book to use his powers also has me going wild. It's just so cool! It makes me think of one of those overpowered wizards!

6. Thomas Andre

Thomas Andre just screams out brute power! He's such a rough and tough guy. I like how he just smashes eveything and how rough he is with his opponents. Whenever he walks next to someone he looks like a giant. That's really funny. And the way he transforms into an overpowered knight-like looking person is just amazing!

7. Lui Zhigang

His mysterious and dark aura makes him really appealing. He doesn't have a lot of screen time, but he is such a cool person. He's so powerful, and yet we haven't seen him fight once. But the way he has awesome panels in the manwha makes up for it. His panels are always either dark and mysterious or beautiful.

8. Woo Jin-Chul

Woo is in my top 10 because he has such a calm and mannered personality, even though his stress level is at 100% everytime we see him. He always manages to find a solution to a problem. When he stopped Baek and Hwang from a fight, we saw his true power. Even though the two were S-ranks, he stopped them. Yes, his arm throbbed in pain, but he still stopped them, which means he's strong.

9. Choi Jong-In

Choi is a sly, but calm person. I love how he's with Baek 90% of the time. They're always bickering together and throwing a tantrum. Yet he still manages to do his job properly and clear most raids easily. I love his design a lot and his attacks are awesome, too.

10. Hwang Dong-Soo

HEAR ME OUT! Hear me out! Dongsoo may not be the nicest person, but the way he's shown in a dark and mysterious way has drawn me to him. He also strikes me as one of those complete douchebags with a slightly soft side. He came over to Korea, all because someone killed his brother. Now their band wasn't too good, but he still cherished his brother from the inside. Even if it's just in the slightest. That means he has a soft side and I love him for that.

About Chloe again as I am once again waiting for one of my cats to be neutered

Well, it's been a while since I thought about my Miraculous AU since things happened (WHB, my phone's battery swelled, new hyper fixation with manwhas with "reincarnate as the villain" trope, etc, etc.) so I figured that It would be better to write about what I have so far for my favorite character.

I don't know about you, but I think filling your life with different father figures/mentors, the idea of ​​contradictory teachings I think would be a good thing to explore; André does not educate her and spoils her, Audry sets a terrible example for her, Gabriel plays an uncle role (forget the Canon! Gabriel), Armand is like a surrogate father who every time he's more worried, ​​(plus an OC I planned to literally have confrontations with Audrey and behave like a mother and mentor to Chloe, being strict but seriously caring about her). Yes, I replaced Bustier due to changes in the AU since they are separated into 2 different schools.

So, I think more or less their relationships could be said to be the following;

André; Even though he is her father, they don't really have a relationship, which causes a disconnection on both of their parts. Even when he gives her everything, it's just material things. Audrey; I still haven't made up my mind about this woman since I feel like some people are putting weight off her actions to disfavor Chloe when she's clearly a shitty mother, so I don't know whether to make her a total secondary villain or handle her solely as an antagonist. I definitely feel like she's a "you ruined my life" type of mom, resentful of her daughter and her husband, maybe married because she got pregnant. Obviously his relationship with Chloe is not good, even as she tries to follow his example and seek his approval, I think he will compare her to Zoe to hurt her. She is a flamboyant, unfriendly and cruel woman (and Cheater), but I think the positive thing Chloe could have gotten out of her would be the character, the determination she learned from trying to get her approval and the antipathy towards the judgment of others (like "that's all you have? my mom tells me worse things." sad, but useful in combination with other traits).

Gabriel; I will change even this man's DNA, so things are different here! First of all, he is not a shitty man, he has just really seen a lot of shit and is psychologically so fucked, but he does take into account how his actions can mark the children (he is also wrong, walking away during the duel to prevent his sons see him destroyed, obviously causing negative effects that he recognizes as his mistake as a father). For his part, he has repeatedly tried to talk to André so that he can relate to his daughter and has been in several situations where Chloe needed her father. Generally, he sees her as his niece who needs help but doesn't know how to support her other than to recognize her and advise her as best he can, but he's also not very good at dealing with children.

Armand (Jean?); Okay, let's be honest, this is Chloe's real father since a father is one who raises, not one who begets. (I don't know why but he has that vibe that he could be a malewife father, so I have the headcanon that he could have bought or even sewn the teddy bear for Chloe himself). This man behaves like a loving and proud father when no co-worker is around, even acknowledging Chloe's unpleasant personality traits. Curiously, I feel that he felt sorry for her when she was a child, so he wanted to compensate her for André's negligence, but before he realized it, he was already on the verge of crying while writing a speech for his elementary school graduation. Armand tried to avoid most of the Bourgeois' toxic influence, but he is too lenient in scolding her, so she gets her way easily without threats. They actually have a very good relationship, he will try to teach her the right path and will be there for her when she needs him. Armand is a sensitive, fatherly and calm man (as well as somewhat playful, as he is willing to participate in harmless pranks).

???; Since this character is an OC, I have doubts about introducing her since generally when OC's are introduced in AUs or fics I lose interest, so I will leave her for later, but I must say that she will be key for Chloe in the future.

Favourite thing about them: The radio filter on his voice! I'm a sucker for characters with artificial voice filters like that. And his disdain for "frivolous television technology" is amusing.

I recently rewatched the first episode of Hazbin Hotel with my dad, and he liked Alastor's radio filter too. (Yes, my dad watched some of Hazbin Hotel. And he decided it was "a bit too out there" for him.)

Least favourite thing about them: His design, I think. Yes, the creepy smile that never leaves his face is a nice touch, but that bob? It does nothing for me.

Favourite line: It's a close tie between, "Do you like blood, violence, and depravity of a sexual nature? Of course you do! That's why you're in Hell!" and, "Well, my dear, I haven't been active in Hell for some time, and everyone remembers me from my radio show! The proper medium to express oneself! But you insisted on this ... noisy picture box advertisement. So I had a little fun with it."

brOTP: I like his friendships with Mimzy and Rosie. The fact that he and Mimzy knew each other when they were alive is really interesting. And I can see how he and Rosie would bond over their shared fondness for cannibalism.

Plus, I just think it's funny that Alastor has been building this platonic girl gang around him. He's asexual, but also a chick magnet.

OTP: I don't really have one for Alastor. He's definitely ace, and he might be aro too, and I have yet to see a character that's made me go, "Ooh, I'd love to see what would happen if they were in a romantic relationship with Alastor."

But if I had to pick an OTP ... maybe RadioRose? Two cannibalistic Overlords causing chaos together? That would be pretty neat.

Actually, what about RadioStatic? The fact that the normally cool and collected Vox can be made to completely malfunction because of Alastor has piqued my interest. Maybe they were dating years ago, and then something went wrong. Or maybe they had a business partnership, and Vox wanted it to become something more, and Alastor just wasn't feeling it. Yes, Vox has Valentino now, but maybe there's a part of him that still pines for Alastor - which would be ironic, considering that Alastor has little to no interest in him.

nOTP: Charlastor. I prefer them having a "twisted mentor and innocent mentee" relationship, rather than a romantic one. Given that Alastor has positioned himself as a father figure to Charlie (albeit just to annoy Lucifer), it would be weird to think of them dating.

Random headcanon: Alastor has zero artistic ability. He once tried to paint portraits of the Hazbin Hotel staff and residents as part of an art therapy exercise, but they all look cursed. Or like cats. Or like cursed cats.

Unpopular opinion: Sorry, Alastor stans, I can't get on the hype train with this guy. Not yet, anyway.

I like characters that have a mixture of the known and the mysterious - that is, you know enough about them from the canon material that there are traits you can identify and latch onto, but there are also some things left up to interpretation for you to muse over.

Right now, Alastor's just a bit too mysterious for me. Is he going to be an ally? Is he going to be an enemy? I can't decide whether I like him because I don't know enough about him.

By contrast, I already know lots about Angel Dust, and I like what I've seen so far. And there are still things I don't know about him, such as how he met Valentino, that I can speculate on, which I find fun. That's why Angel is my blorbo and Alastor isn't.

Song I associate with them: "Love ka?" (a.k.a. "Rabuka") by Hiiragi Kirai and Ado. Particularly this Yokune Ruko cover. I see it as a RadioStatic song, because the lyrics are about sharks (Vox likes sharks, doesn't he?) and about bugs (which would fit with Vox glitching out).

The ending lyrics translate as, "These putrid 'love you,' 'love you,' 'love yous' have already fallen to the ground and died out. If you don't like what you found within your reach, maybe you should stop looking." That sounds like something Alastor would say to Vox.

My biggest pet peeve with stans regardless of the fandom they are in is always "you would've like female character if they were a man" No. Just stop.

If you want the biggest example of everyone hating on a male character even if they swap genders is none other than GOT Jeffrey.

That spoiled brat has no irredeemable qualities he's just a spoiled stuck up brat who everyone cheered when he died.

HOWEVER im not saying that there ISNT any misogyny towards female character/villains because no matter what fandom you are in there will be misogyny most towards fandom that has a large male fanbase (example Star Wars, Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Assassin's Creed, etc.)

Having a valid reason to hate a female character/villain is NOT misogyny. I hate Neo because the shows wants us to feel sorry for her because she didn't know what to do after Roman's death but are we forgetting an episode ago she DROVE RUBY TO SUCIDE USING PEOPLE SHE KNOW and then she redeemed herself by killing Cat?

Regardless if Neo was a male anyone who drove someone to sucide will never be liked by me or anyone else.

Here's another one Leonora from Castlevanina is hated because she made Hector a slave and saw him as a pet yet she started to develop feelings for him the more time she spent with him. And many people are disgusted because 1) she enslaved Hector and then develop have feelings and 2) because of the obvious power imbalance/relationship of the abuser and victim.

If a character has a trait that triggers the audience or they don't like them for any actions then they can have a reason why they dislike not. I have many female characters that I hate with valid criticism just how much I hate male characters for that same reason.

Yeah, here's the thing, if I actually thought that anti-rwde posters were honestly concerned about misogyny, I would be very sympathetic.

Every single time a piece of media so much as passes the Bechdol test or has a woman that never wears a bikini, there are a bunch of misogynistic idiots and dudebros who hate it or those women. And in the modern day, only hardcore Trump supporters are out here out and out saying that they hate women and are misogynists and that's why they hate whatever it is they're ranting against. People do very much so use perfectly valid (or not so valid) "real criticisms" because they don't want to say the honest truth, or because they themselves wouldn't recognize their own misogyny. Recognizing that just because someone SAYS they hate a female character because of an action that they did doesn't mean they're not a misogynist is kind of important. The guys who harassed the actress of Rose Tico off of Twitter all hid behind 'valid reasons' for their criticism too.

But here's the thing:

1. It's important to be able to figure out what is and isn't actually a sign of misogyny. There's not a precise rule, but you can do things like see if the thing they hate is an exception or the rule, or see if they're hypocritical about their reasons, or see what kind of language people use. If they come around with "brat" "bitch" "cunt" for female characters, that's a red flag at best!! But yeah, ANY criticism of that kind of thing isn't automatically misogynistic. It's like yeah, a bunch of misogynists hated Taurial in the Hobbit because she's a woman and yes they disguised that by claiming it was for other reasons, but there ARE very valid criticisms and complaints about Taurial and you have to be willing to hear out those things instead if just blanket assigning 'misogyny.' Lots of things from Arcane to something as bad as Twilight has perfectly valid haters that are fine, and then also a bunch of misogynists that are going to pretend or really think they have valid reasons. Somone being unable to tell the two apart probably means that person is too close to the situation and too defensive, but these critics don't want to admit that maybe they're wrong.

2. If this was something like Steven Universe, then the defensiveness would make more sense. If it were a well written slow burn with a cast of characters with well rounded dynamics that the writers put work into and the show was about rebels trying to fight the system for a peaceful life and the show had never sexualized the women and there was hard-fought for groundbreaking queer rep and it was created by a Jewish bisexual non-binary woman, and there were mistakes and valid criticisms of the series, but also a lot of unjustified venom of nothing but bad-faith... Then we'd be having a different conversation. Instead it's a show about badge-carrying law enforcement officers, who fight the evil civil rights group from upsetting the status quo, in a show that has tons of things just 'happen off screen,' with a history of sexualizing some of the main female characters, that only recently confirmed any main character as queer years behind the curve, and that was created by and mostly written for by a bunch of straight cis men most of them having said or done misogynistic things. Anti-rwde posters like to pretend that there's no reason why a great completely non-problematic misunderstood stand-up show like RWBY made with love by the totally not at all a part of RT "CRWBY" should be hated, and therefore it must be because of misogyny, but they aren't living in reality.

3. Most anti-rwde posters actually don't really care about misogyny and they aren't actually basing this on - for lack of a better word - good faith. They don't care about Jaune harem fics or the fanarts of RWBY girls with giant breasts in bikinis, and they don't call out the writers or even RT for their bigotry, and they have quite literally Trump supporters that post anti-rwde stuff, but none of that matters. Instead they spend their time harassing a group of mostly queer women for *checks notes* criticizing a show written by mostly men.

So yeah. I've seen misogyny in rwde posters tbh, and I don't think that "I have valid reasons for disliking them" is always proof that there isn't misogyny at play, but the anti-rwde accusations are nothing, because not only are they blind to the flaws of the show and the writers and are unable to recognize the difference between misogyny and just criticism, but also they're only using these accusations as a screen anyway, because they only ever go after rwde posters with it and are unwilling to call out the blatant misogyny in the rest of the fandom, in the show, or in the writers room. I would take this seriously if I thought this was an actual concern of theirs, but it isn't. They don't actually care about misogyny, they just want their show to be above criticism.

(By the way, I've never seen Game of Thrones or Castlevania so I can't speak to it, and also I like Neo a lot lol. XD Personally for me, villains doing bad things doesn't typically blacklist them for me so long as they're entertaining.)

Project Sekai as actors in Cats The Musical. Yes, apparently I'm writing this. [Part 1]

Now, some notes before we begin:

- This is less of a "which character they would be" thing and more of a "if, by Hatsune Miku or whoever else's whim, the entirety of Shibuya's musical stage needed to put on this musical like right now, which roles would they play?" thing. Please don't take this too seriously.

- Some NPC casting, and some double casting because there is... A lot of cats, and some roles I don't feel too comfortable filling with playable characters.

- This is my personal opinion and made for fun only!!

- No particular order, I'm just covering the characters as they come to mind.

- There will be a short summary of each character for people who have not watched Cats but do remember that the plot of this show is... A mess. (Fondly)

- Following the canon and storyline (as much as a theatre production can have a canon). The movie adaptation is not real and cannot hurt me.

- This show is like... Old. There is a lot of bigoted/prejudiced stuff in the original script that I do not in any way condone or support. But it's there, so like, be aware of it.

- The play is canon within proseka universe and I stil haven't gotten over the fact.

With that in mind, let's begin!

1. Munkustrap - Rui Kamishiro.

This is an interesting one because the association is what made me want to make this post in the first place.

Munkustrap is the leader of the group in the musical; he is portrayed as responsible, down-to-earth cat, who, at the same time, has his fair amount of whimsy and fun. He also constantly breaks the forth wall and talks to the viewers; he is the narrator of the play in the absence of off-stage one, in addition to actually staging his own play in-universe.

He cares deeply about the colony's safety and happiness, and is extremely protective on them, especially of the younger members. I think the protective trait and him wanting to keep everyone safe, as well as the more dramatic traits of Munkustrap the narrator and the director fit Rui well and he'd handle them nicely.

2. Rum Tum Tugger - Akito Shinonome

Definitely one of the more popular characters, Rum Tum Tugger is one of the more younger cats. He is egoistic to a dramatic degree, charismatic, energetic, rebellious, flirty and vain. He is also associated with rock-stage and more "novel" music.

I think Akito would be roped into this one just for his appearance and general vibe. But he'd still pull the role off pretty well, because despite Rum Tum Tugger's egoism he is very much still a team player and he cares for the members of the group a lot.

I briefly considered casting Tsukasa for this role, but... Guys, let's be honest. Tsukasa the "if I have to play a romantic interest I will die" would not pull this off when being flirtatious is such a big trait of the character lmao. Akito, on the other hand... (Remember their vocal instructions for CRaZY? Yeah me too)

3. Mr. Mistoffelees - Tsukasa Tenma

Here he is! Here's the guy!

Much like Rum Tum Tugger, Mr.Mistoffelees is a show-off with quite and ego to show. He is a magical cat with mysterious powers and he isn't afraid to show them. His number is quite interesting in two ways: it features the most special effects of the musical, for one, and also sung entirely by Rum Tum Tugger.

The role of Mr. Mistoffelees is also incredibly physically demanding, with most of his personality being conveyed through body language and dancing. The number is so complex that it's actually common to hire professional ballet dancers rather than actors to do it (a likely reason why he has very little vocal lines). I think it's a very interesting Tsukasa role, especially with the special effect and general show-off-ish and confident (though not without reason, as he is very talented) personality of the character.

Additional fun fact: Rum Tum Tugger and Mr. Mistoffelees are often interpreted by the actors, and therefore played, as a couple. I don't even go there but that's a win for a certain category of shippers with my casting apparently. (Which is also why Cats 2019 pissed off so many Cats fans by giving this character a female love interest)

4. Demeter - Nene Kusanagi

Demeter is a an important role, but much is still not known about her past as a character. She is an adult, and we know she is an abuse survivor; either because of this or just by her nature, Demeter is very anxious and easily frightened.

However, that is not everything that is to her; she is sympathetic and mature in the ways some character aren't, as well as brave and protective of others, and her perspective is very valuable to the storyline.

The role of Demeter, I think, would be a little bit of a type-casting case for Nene (aside from age), but her role also demands a good singing voice as she gets more than a few solos and chorus parts in addition to good acting abilities.

Also, in some productions, she's also annoyed with Rum Tum Tugger's and/or Mr. Mistoffelees actings, which is just... Yeah lmao. In some productions still, she is shown to be good friends with Munkustrap.

5. Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer - An Shiraishi and Emu Otori

” Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, we're a notorious couple of cats As knock-about clowns, quick-change comedians, tight-rope walkers and acrobats”

This duo are the trickers of the group. They are both young and very mischievous, thought their tricks and pranks are always in good fun (or minor enough to be forgiven by the group); they're very energetic and in general seem to be the representation of "youthful fun" (and lack of self-preservation instinct) in the musical, hence the casting.

They also do cartwheels. I was debating between Emu and Saki but decided on Emu because you know what, she deserves to show off her cartwheels. An will just have to keep up with her.

seeing as though hailcrash is starting to get older, i've scrapped together a list of contenders for deputy for when/if she retires. i tried to pick younger cats, as many of the cats i'd probably want for deputy are getting quite old </3

daisypetal: her charismatic personality would allow her to be knowledgable about interpersonal dynamics within the clan. she's a cat who i'd place as "in the loop," being both the mate of a medicine cat and being a charming individual. she would know how to inspire a clan and would be good at supporting maplestar when he begins to doubt himself.

beefreckle OR hawkwish: i'm grouping these two together because they both have the "righteous" trait. beefreckle is honestly just sort of a Guy™ but this actually works in his favor. he could be developed into any sort of personality. i also just like righteous cats. they tend to create drama with their strong definitions of right and wrong.

rowanleaf: doesn't exactly strike me as the type to want a leadership position, but i think it'd be cool to have one of moxieoak's kids as a deputy or leader. same goes for willowsplash.

sleepycloud: a diligent and kind-hearted warrior. his cautious nature would make it so that he isn't going to jump to any conclusions right away. he wants to hear all sides of things, hence the "good mediator" trait as well. he would be a well-liked deputy, but i'm not sure whether he has the "tactical" mindset needed for planning patrols.

yewberry: he has some deep-seated insecurites, however after becoming mates with brambletuft and becoming a father, i believe he feels a lot more confident in himself. him being ambitious is interesting to me. i feel like yewberry thinks he has a lot to "prove." he thinks his reputation has been tainted by otterslip, and he wants to be better than his father. i believe yewberry would want to be deputy, but whether he would make a good deputy is still in question.

poppyfeather: a very laid back and chill lady. she has the same charisma that would benefit daisypetal but poppyfeather is also an eloquent speaker. she knows what to say to get cats to listen, and she has the clan's best interests at heart. i just think she's a cool gal.

yellowjay: she has a lot of confidence and energy. on top of being bold, i imagine that she's actually quite clever. in a time of war especially, yellowjay isn't going to hesitate. hesitation can cost lives... but so can rashness. she's adventurous which makes me think she's open to new ideas. yellowjay wouldn't feel strongly about tradition like a more righteous or strict cat might. she looks to the future, not the past.

fernslug: adding her because a lot of people seem to like the idea of a fernstar. i'm not against this at all! however i personally don't think she would want to be deputy or leader. she's just a silly who likes slugs. politics and taking care of an entire clan seems a bit much for her (reasonably).

moosefall: he's kind but perhaps a little too forgiving, in my mind. he seems like someone who is extremely caring/loving but is also easily influenced (he isn't a pushover by any means, but i think he's someone who deeply values the input of his loved ones, even if that input isn't always the best for him or the clan). i think maplestar would see a lot of his younger self in moosefall, too.

antbite: his strictness would help in a time of war, although his youth works against him. similarly to yellowjay, i think antbite would have a very strategic mindset, but even moreso than her. he would be a brilliant deputy in a time of war, but in a time of peace? who knows. i like the idea of him becoming deputy at such a young age and excelling as deputy, but as soon as the war with shallowclan ends he's sort of left in the water, where he isn't sure what to do. i think once he's older, he would be a good deputy during both peace and war, but at his current age maybe not. lots of potential with this one....

mossfrog: she's young, yes, but also very clever. she sees things that others often miss. i feel like she's the type to be a prodigy in all things, but this also leads to her crushing sense of loneliness. she finds it hard to relate to other cats most of the time. she would be an excellent leader/deputy but find herself lacking when it comes ot interpersonal relationships among the clan. she's definitely at risk of "gifted kid burnout." mossfrog is probably one of my favorite contenders on this list!

cats i'd add if not for their age: evie, bluefern, blizzardfang, crowflame, applebranch, wormshade, flyspots, pinefrost

i'm curious to know what you and others think. maybe at some point there could be a poll (could be cats on this list or any you think are fitting) over who should be deputy at some point?

daisypetal - not someone i had considered previously, but certainly would be a good choice! i feel like she's a good mix of logical, social, and silly. they're 77 moons currently, so maybe a Little on the older side, but depending on who the leader was at the time, still an excellent choice

beefreckle or hawkwish - both good choices!! i really like the idea of beefreckle especially--i think hawkwish would be a fun choice, but she had the nervous trait for most of her life before becoming righteous, vs beefreckle who had the wise trait. i think they'd both do pretty well, though (and now im imagining beefreckle getting a life from spiderclaw AUGH)

rowanleaf - BIG agree on your stance, i don't think she'd necessarily want to be in a position of power but i do think it would be cool to have a moxieoak descendant as leader/deputy. i wouldn't necessarily say shameless would be the best trait for that, but it is funny to imagine lmao. plus my girl needs to do more interesting things, i've only drawn her like 4 times wtf

sleepycloud - also a really good choice!! he has the Good Mediator trait so i feel like he's good with the social aspect of things, and he's very kind. like you said, though, i'm not sure if he has the "tactical" mindset per se

yewberry - i LOVE yewberry and i'd love to see him as leader/deputy,,, he'd be a good choice too i think. i also love the idea of him feeling like he has a lot to prove, especially since Otterslip.

poppyfeather - until recently, i absolutely would have agreed with your statement, but she appears to no longer be such a laid-back kitty. recently she aquired the vengeful trait, which came out of Nowhere to me, though tbf i think that would make for some very interesting stuff, story-wise

yellowjay - definitely leans on the impulsive side, but i agree with you saying that isn't always a bad thing. she would for sure be an interesting choice, though idk how responsible she is--she always struck me as the type to goof off a lot, which is good for lightning the mood on a patrol, but maybe not as much for deputy. i'll take her into consideration though, bc i do love her and i'd love if she took a more active part in the story

fernslug - you're actually so correct saying she wouldn't really want to be deputy/leader. i think she's pretty content just being a warrior and helping out her clan that way, maybe even taking on the role of a mediator when she's older. i do love her very dearly, and until recently i was nudging her towards that position, but reasonably i think she wouldn't care much for that, and would only do it if she was specifically asked to

moosefall - him as deputy is such a cute idea tbh. i agree with everything you said in his little section--he's a very kind-hearted cat and perhaps very easily influenced. i think he'd do well as leader as long as the deputy was a little more cold/strict, and do well as deputy as long as the leader was a little more cold/strict. its about balance

antbite - interesting choice! i always saw him as a little more rough around the edges, certainly ambitious enough to want the position but maybe a little too harsh to do well in it. lots of potential, i agree. but like with moosefall, he'd probably do okay with a softer deputy/leader by his side

mossfrog - ok. i know shes young but im a little obsessed with this idea now. i've always loved her and the idea of tiny, un-intimidating little moss being the leader of this massive clan is. adorable. maybe next litter of kits we have, she'll get an apprentice? looking at her with my autistic eyes

Yes I do and I hope everything's chilled out a bit 💃

1.

To be completely Frank, to be completely David even, I don't think T.C. has a single healthy way to get rid of negative emotions or anxiety. I think he just tries to power through it to try and not show any weakness and then he wonders why he keeps biting his tail so much and why he can't catch his breath sometimes.

Benny's usually pretty good at reminding himself that everything will be okay but when his feelings are a bit stronger he'll call his Ma for advice or just to hear her voice. Nothing like a talk with your Ma.

Chooch holds onto his tail and combs through it with his fingers for instant small anxiety relief, and then he usually goes and paints or draws to get rid of the rest of the anxiety or he talks to T.C. or someone else in the gang.

Spook listens to music or meditates for sure, he's probably the best at handling anxiety out of the group due to his 'go with the flow' groove. He's very much an 'it'll all work itself out' guy and usually has to remind T.C. to slow down and just breathe when he's high-strung.

Fancy's a bit like T.C. in the sense that he doesn't have a healthy way to get rid of anxiety, I actually HC him with mild OCD so he ends up pacing around and doing compulsions to get the thoughts to stop. His most frequent one is to twist and pull on his whiskers to 'pull the thoughts out' which sometimes leaves him with less whiskers than before.

Brain just goes and takes a nap. He loves taking naps. He'll walk right up to you and say that a lot of things can be fixed with a good nap. Headache? Nap. Tummyache? Nap. Sad? Nap. Anxious? Nap. He just flumps right on the ground and he's out like a light, problem solved. What a simple little creature.

2. (This might get a bit long fair warning also a bit corny perhaps but what's life without KoRn)

T.C. doesn't really have an outward way of showing affection but I suppose you could say that it's the fact that he knows every member of the gang almost inside and out. Sure some things elude him but he's taken the time to get to know them so well that that in of itself is one of his ways of showing affection. He knows that Benny's favorite TV show is Gunstroke, that Spook crafted his bongos himself, that Brain had part of his tail amputated by the ventriloquist at the circus, etc. You could also say that his way of poking fun at the gang is largely affectionate, as he knows what genuinely upsets them and what doesn't. (He does this with Dibble too but he typically doesn't care whether he upsets him or not.) Ultimately though I think that there's affection in everything that T.C. does for the gang to make sure they're taken care of and happy.

Benny is always complimenting the gang and giving them kind words and words of encouragement. He's the kind of guy who has the confidence to go out of his way to compliment someone just because it makes them smile. He can make a good day great, a fine day good, and a bad day just a little bit better. He might not always know the right thing to say when you're feeling down but he'll be damned if he doesn't try his best. He'll always find something to compliment you about, even just little things like that your eyes are really pretty or that you're wearing cool socks. He's just a happy little guy and making other people happy makes him the happiest little guy in the world.

Chooch's love language is touch to the point where he's almost constantly craving it, he'll rub up on people and get in their personal space like there's no tomorrow. Is he aware of this? Nope, it's entirely an unconscious trait. He's one of those people who'll like keep touching your shoulder if you're having a conversation with him, y'know? If he's told by someone that they don't like being touched he'll do his best to respect that of course but if you don't mind it you will have pink fur all over your clothes for like at least a week. He knows that T.C. usually doesn't like being touched but Benny likes using him as a pillow when they're watching T.V. and he's all over Fancy a lot of the time (while making sure he's not messing up his fur), Spook and him will wrestle, and Brain usually just lays on top of him. He's been told off by a few girlfriends before for this (and also for being clingy in general) but the burning heart craves warmth or however that phrase I probably just made up goes. He gives amazing (if a bit squeezy) hugs.

Spook likes making himself useful and so he'll do favors for you for his way of affection. Like if the dishes need to be done and you've been too busy to do them he'll go and do them for you. He's terrible at doing things for himself but if you ask him to do something most of the time he'll do it (given that he remembers/executive dysfunction doesn't get in his way y'know ADHD junk) because it's easier to do something for someone else than for yourself. Even if you don't have anything that needs to be done currently he'll go and do something for you anyway. This kind of blends into gift giving sort of, he'll go out and buy something for you if he sees that you want it at all so you don't have to go through the trouble of making the trip. (This is usually how Brain ends up with a whole box of muffins.) He just likes making the gang's lives just a little bit easier this way.

Fancy loves just spending time with the gang. Y'ever gone over to a friend's house and you literally just don't do anything other than just be in each other's proximity? Yeah he loves that shit. Whenever he's out with a girl I like to think that he's subconsciously waiting until he can see the gang again. It's in his nature to be the kind of guy who sees someone he's close to in public and be like 'ayyyyy! How you been??' He loves just talking with the fellas as well, pulling schemes with the fellas, just anything with the fellas. He doesn't believe in wasted time so long as it's time spent with someone he loves. He also loves touch but he's not nearly as clingy as Chooch is, he's just a really big fan of hugs. (He gives the best hugs out of the gang. Strong, warm, soft, and he always purrs.)

Brain's is definitely gift-giving, if he finds a neat little rock he'll give it to you because it's sparkly or it's smooth or just because he thinks you'll like it or because it reminded him of you. He also makes sure that if he's giving you a present for your birthday or a holiday that it's something you really wanted or needed. He might not think of a lot of things or get you a lot of things (because usually he winds up on a time crunch because he forgets it's the holiday or your birthday). He wishes he could get you more things but he always hopes you like the things you give him. The gang almost always keeps the little trinkets or gifts he finds and gives to them because it's a nice little reminder that they're always in Brain's heart. He doesn't make things very often but when he does it's always gifted to someone else. This is all probably because of the few gifts he was given as a kitten that he's managed to keep with him and cherish forever (Like his purple cat plushie and his iconic shirt).
