Cassandra is so funny as a character. She's a highly skilled fighter and is genuinely down to listen and learn about new things and different types of people. And she has absolutely zero bullshit detecting abilities whatsoever. Worst possible choice for an investigative profession.

Full disclosure, I’ve had an absolutely horrific last few days.  At some point I’ll communicate what happened, probably with some comics, probably with some text, but I need a bit of time before I do for a couple of reasons. 

One, I need to gather my thoughts and consider exactly what it is that I’m feeling, see if these feelings persist, and see if I feel that it’s right to act on them.

Two, the things that happened are ongoing, so I don’t have all the information yet to even evaluate the situation.

Regarding all that, I will say that I am absolutely ok and fine and safe, so I do not want anyone to worry that something happened that put me in any kind of danger. 

I am ok.

Upset, but ok.

So let’s focus on something that makes me happy… eyyyyyyyyyyy we hit 2k followers!  That’s pretty cool!

It’s been such a pleasure getting back into comics again and meeting all you folks.  You’ve immediately accepted me into this beautiful community and I’m eternally grateful for the support you’ve thrown my way.

For all the folks that have reached out to me personally to chat, share your art and stories, just say hi… I love you all, truly.

You’ve all allowed yourselves to be vulnerable with me as I share my vulnerabilities with yours.  I’m beyond flattered and honored that you’ve placed so much trust in me.

I treasure it, and I will always love this community and the good work it does.

You’ve shared your best and worst moments with me; I always want to be there for you when you’re down, and celebrate you when you triumph.

Can I just talk about how much I love being a woman? How much getting on estrogen has helped with feeling completely confident in my identity? I used to be so unsure about it all. The feeling of: "Well I guess I'm a girl" pushed to its logical endpoint as I mustered up the courage to start the process of transitioning for real.

I can't always blame people for saying that you don't need HRT to be trans or the gender you are. It seems to me like it started as a sort of coping mechanism for people who desperately wanted it, but couldn't obtain it. However, over time it seems to have been contorted into a whole: "You shouldn't take HRT, because you can just be who you are without it!" Which plays into the transphobic narrative of trans people just being "feminine men" or "masculine women."

It's not for everyone, but honestly you should try HRT. You should get on it. The biggest mistake I made when I first realised I was a woman was not listening to my ex's advice. He told me that I should get on HRT, that he'd get me in contact with his endocrinologist. I didn't at the time, because I was scared. What if I regretted it? Well, I know now that I wouldn't, and you know what? I'm sure you won't either.
