#so there's this person on twitter who is like an infamous drama starter and got a whole forum shut down once#and they wrote this (different) book that's one of the greatest so bad it's good things i've ever read#a few great things that happen in that:#characters get in a car crash and flee on foot. later it's casually mentioned one character had both her legs amputated 'due to fractures'#the character pretending to be american by wearing maga hats that have spy gear built into them#the spy gear in question is an alarm that blares if someone lies in their vicinity#'stuff protocol ' said the queen. 'i'm getting hammered tonight'#the chapter where the prime minister is trying to watch the news so she keeps wandering into bars and tv shops and getting kicked out#the dragon that's casually described as 'about the size of 1000 elephants'#the dragon that's a 'dog dragon hybrid with a chihuahua body and a giant dragon head'#the dragon that's owner punched it in the face and only lets people approach if they 'do the iconic royal wave'#the characters being described as 'the short one' 'the guy with the beard' etc#but there being a lengthy detailed description of the characters in harry potter#'apparently a dragon had burnt essex to cinders in a matter of minutes'#anyways i found out they also wrote (a political parody of indiana jones???) for this book of kids short stories years ago#and you know. we needed to know#so it took me like 4 months to track this precious lost media down#which was very worth it because it turns out it's full of many other iconic gems like CELLAR HELL by Elizabeth Elgie (12)

pmd game but instead of the hero and partner having a home base of some sort, they're more nomadic... major plot beats would happen in the various towns they stop in... lots of focus on the different sights around the continent... it's about the journey not the destination etc...

I think its somewhat telling that the gnosis was placed inside the shouki no kami rather than scara containing it in his chest the same way that venti did with his gnosis. I get that its probably more so because scara needed a much grander body for his god form and the electro gnosis just so happened to be at the centre of it… but i cant help but think of it as the games way of telling us that he truly is not fit to contain the gnosis, even in peak form when all his powers are unleashed, he still needs to build a whole new body as the gnosis’ vessel, that the so called “heart” he thought was rightfully his would not actually make him satisfied or fulfilled, as it seems to be the embodiment of all of scara’s obsessions

#beautiful things list in the tags#so i can remember a day that seemed full of them#going to the religious bookstore and finding lots of things (the beautiful advent wreath!)#quick trip to the library and picking up a couple of middle grade books on a whim#(short things that don't add much to the overwhelming tbr but add a bit of joy into the options list)#going to wendy's and getting a lime coke#listening to fascinating religious history things that opened up new ideas and made new connections with what i'd been reading#wedding dress shopping with my sister#in a cute little shop with nice staff#where i felt like my input was helpful#wandering a bit in a city we never go to#in a rainy chilly late night atmosphere that felt very hallmark christmas movie#(in a good cozy way not in the over-the-top christmas decorations way)#thrift shopping and finding a lightweight sweater that fills a need in my wardrobe#(since we've had a warm year that limits me to only a few of my sweaters)#coming home and finding that a book i ordered had arrived#lots of lovely poem recommendations and conversations#some sights on a rainy day that filled me with that fantasy sort of awe and longing#seeing a distant shore through a fog that looked like an ancient castle rising up out of the mist#a hill of plants topped with crimson leaves that looked like a fabric or wallpaper pattern come to life#it was just a day filled with a lot of beauty#and i made a conscious effort to notice it#one of those days you want to keep

#i briefly went over his arcane verse like a week ago#chainsaw man verse........#the despair devil is the embodiment of the feelings of hopelessness and existential dread that plague humanity - that plague dazai#dazai whilst working as a devil hunter made a pact with the despair devil who found it fascinating the way in which dazai craved his own#perfect end. the despair devil being picky had taken on very few pacts in its time under capture but the pacts exist as the promise#that dazai will one day end his life - handing over his very being to the despair devil#the power it grants him comes in three forms. 1) th ability to induce feelings of deep hopelessness within others sapping their will to fig#which immobilises them as their own mental strengths are tested#2) dazai own inner feelings towards suicide manifest in a physical form - as spectral chains and nooses that can bind opponents at his will#3) the evasion of life and death. as he has signed the end of his life to the despair devil dazai cannot die unless it is at his own hand#and unless all of his conditions are met (yadda yadda double suicide with a beautiful women yadda yadda) BUT#dazai can “die” by the hand of an opponent but he will just be brought back within minutes thus i think its funny bcs he'll be sat there li#wtf......not again...... but this is like embodiment of his own lost soul and his own hopelessness#as he's forced to wander the earth without really ever feeling anything. he can also read emotion in others - those that are negative that#is and will likely be able to tell you a person/devil's worst fear (if they have one) but one of the less - impressive abilities would be#this.....#anyway..... yeah <3#still covered in bandages and still SHIT at hand to hand combat...but very good at his evasive manoeuvres and will put people out of action#using the skills he does have.........anyway <3

Me: Able to sleep in and actually not hurting for a change so no intention of getting up early.
My son at 5:30 AM: "I just saw the skunk heading for the driveway."
Cue me having to get up and remote start the car to thaw the frost so I can drive kid down to the end of the driveway and wait for the bus without worrying about the fart squirrel.

Very important! Haha#Gave a go to a regular Watchdog to go with my Fist Fighter and hmmm yes this feels attainable lol - just gotta give 'em both names#They are very cute and sweet ♥#An actual full-style(? Full WOY style? Lol) for Peepers and a regular Watchdog!#Although afterwards I looked and I'm. Hm. There's conflicting information out there and I'm not sure what to believe#On the wiki he's listed as being shorter than most other Watchdogs but I did a quick screenshot comparison in The It and he was taller??#Not just taller - his eye was bigger - and I accounted for distance! The regular Watchdog was in front of him by just a few inches!#It's inconsistent enough for me to argue either way honestly#And all that not counting what Wander does to his shoes lol so all in all he's probably Slightly taller than the Watchdogs with his shoes on#Not counting special members like Moose or the Drill Sergeant - and definitely not Westley he's super tiny haha#Honestly surprised Peepers didn't take advantage of their height difference more he's a bit of a bully ♪#Rest abound as being silly little guys :) I do love how they're so easy to draw ''in colour'' haha#Red on black on red on black ♫ I suppose I could add in a yellow but pfsh don't even talk to me about the dark purple/red combo inside lol#Maybe at some point but I like them at full lighting for ease of colours haha#Cutest lads <3 Love 'em

#I hadn’t posted about this but last night I found out that my cousin’s kid had gone missing while travelling with friends in Barcelona#they’d lost contact with him 24 hours earlier#and couldn’t find him anywhere#and my mum was with my cousin at the police station for a few hours while they launched an investigation#that basically went from the Victoria police > Australian federal police > interpol > Barcelona police#nobody had any idea where he was and it was genuinely terrifying#anyway I just woke up to a message from mum#saying that they found him and he was okay#his phone and wallet had been stolen#and the poor kid had been wandering around Barcelona for almost two full days trying to find the airbnb#what a massive relief#we were all so worried about him#I guess he was initially a little drunk and shaken up by having his stuff stolen#so didn’t think to wait in the last place he’s seen his friends#and by the time he sobered up he was dehydrated and exhausted and hungry so wasn’t thinking any clearer#especially seeing as it’s been pretty hot there#anyway let this be a psa reminder that if you’re visiting a country where you don’t speak the language#ALWAYS make sure you have a planned meeting point that you know how to find#in case you get into a situation like this#and at the very least learn how to ask for help in the language the locals speak#god he’s so lucky he didn’t end up passed out from heat stroke#or worse

If someone is talking to themself in public or has verbal/physical tics in public or is just Existing somewhere in a way that might be a little odd to you but is otherwise harmless, pro tip: you should mind your business and leave them alone.
#my work has a food court/common area attached that is a community space#people can come in and hang out all day without having to buy anything#so we have regularly have a few unhoused people that come and chill at the tables for a few hours#which is good! just hanging out for a while is what the space is for!#in particular we have one guy who's in all the time. don't know his name but I refer to him as Hat Guy (he has a cool hat)#anyway. he talks to himself. sometimes wanders around. you know. does soliloquy.#he isn't rude or even usually very loud. he's just doing his thing#and once every couple of weeks some goddamn karen comes up to the staff to complain about him#like. what do you want ma'am. he's allowed to be here. same as you.#i don't really have a point except that being weird in public is not a crime#learn to coexist with other people ffs#fsp speaks
