Seventh in the Putting Alice into Norton's Skin Lines series

Mining Director/Plutone/Plutocrat & New Bride/Eurydice/Auloniad

Design and backstory under the cut:

Setting/text notes:

The skin line is based of L’Orfeo, the Monteverdi opera, which is………… remarkable. For an asymmetrical horror game with dollies as the characters to use.

It pretty straightforwardly follows the usual myth of Orpheus, but in this skinline version, the love Eurydice has for Orpheus is so overwhelming that Plutone becomes jealous that Orpheus could bring out that kind of devotion in this pretty bride and distracts Orpheus with a commotion behind him so she has to stay in the Underworld. Eurydice becomes a treasure he passed over, but one he now wants to own.

Did my best with the text – this set of lyrics was taken from Early Music Vancouver’s copy and translation and edited; the Italian is a bit stilted but I tried to make it rhyme. 

Norton’s design:

The longer I look at this design the more I’m convinced whoever designed it was quite smart and operating more within Nort’s character than you’d expect

I’m a little sad they didn’t go with “Plutocrat” as the name for this skin – a Plutocrat is a person who buys societal power with wealth, and also contains “Pluto,” the god of the underworld!

If his ideal self is a white mining director, then it makes perfect sense for the waistcoat and jodhpurs – he would likely see his “betters” in the mining camps in their sportswear and in a state of casualness other situations would not allow for. Then you just bling that out because that’s wealth, right? He wouldn’t know the subtle, great-renunciation sartorial cues that would’ve been present.

I had to change surprisingly little tbh… it’s definitely discordant but it works well that way.

Alice’s design:

Eurydice’s (Little Girl’s) skin is, to my eyes, based on a christening gown and a first communion gown, so I figured the next logical sacrament would be a wedding dress… Eurydice also dies (in myth) during their wedding party, so having Eurydice be a new bride makes some sense.

The dress is based on ~1905-1910 style wedding dresses with a high, arched sash at the back and a long veil with orange blossoms (orange blossoms, real or wax replicas, were common for bridal headdresses up until maybe the 1930s)

Would Eurydice be surprised that she was the object of the God of the Underworld's affections? Would she be pleased? All interesting questions...

Kanae Nozawa - extremely talented erhu player. Covers music from video games and anime as well as makes her own original compositions! She also has concert and gig videos on her channel. My favourite cover of hers is Zelda TotK cover and her original melody Little Happiness!

Simone Giertz - a mechanical engineer who builds random stuff. She even spent 3 years designing a compact coat hanger for her house and before she used to make extremely short videos showcasing her machines! Recommended by @acidbathcat

D i n L i f e - I don't even know how I forgot her! She makes adorable crafts from cotton dolls down to notebooks. Her channel is sort of about zero waste and making things out of what you have to prevent any waste. She has nice atmosphere and sometimes does vlogs.

- After your guy’s first date, not much changed. Well not too much anyways. Abby still went to the cafe, only now she actually liked her coffee black. - Clothing wise was simple, you threw on a pair of fuzzy leopard print pj pants and a twilight tshirt.

- Abby was there at 6:54, early as usual. She had a bag of food and another bag with some snacks. She looked amazing as usual. She was wearing a pair of black sweats and black wife beater. (Obviously had to pull out the all black fit for you.)

“It’s not typically my go to, but you really like the Scream movies right?”

“Uh huh.”

“Well I’ve never seen those, what about them?”

“Ugh, absolutely. You’re so hot for that.”

-You guys got everything situated food and snack wise. You set up the first movie and turned off the lights once you were done eating, cuddling up on the couch with a batman blanket.

- About halfway through the first movie Abby put her hands on your waist, slightly sliding under your shirt. And then she just lifted you up, just like that, like you were nothing. She lifted you up and pulled you closer to her, situating you between her legs, your back against her chest.

- You didn’t say anything. You just sat there and leaned back against her, letting her wrap her arms around your waist. Once the first movie finished you started to shift so you could get up and get the remote. But you were quickly held down, Abby tightening her arms and pressing her nose into your shoulder.

“Abby, I have to get the remote.”

“Mm, just wait a minute”

You smile softly and sigh, though you weren’t actually annoyed at all. After a short moment you feel her start to kiss the back of your neck, softly, almost unnoticeable if you weren’t sitting there in silence doing absolutely nothing.

- Eventually they go from soft pecks to soft nips, her teeth slightly grazing against the back of your neck.

“Abs are we watching another movie or not?”

“Call me that again”

“Abs?”

“Your voice is so pretty baby, love hearing you say my name”

her voice is a soft murmur against your skin and you can’t help but slightly laugh softly.

“You’re so cute”

“Can I leave a mark?”

“What?”

“On your neck, can I leave a mark?”

“Hmm, I guess? Just don’t make it too noticeable”

- At that her small nips and kisses quickly go to a harsh suck on the back of your neck. You slightly furrow your brows, the feeling a bit strange. After a moment or so she pulls away and kisses the same spot before releasing you.

- You turn to her and kiss her on the cheek before sitting up and grabbing the remote, getting onto the second movie and then quickly settling yourself back where you were. Her arms quickly wrap around you once more and she pulls you a little lower this time, leaning back and pulling your head back against her chest.

“You’re comfy”

She just smiles and kisses the top of your head.

- By the end of the night you had plenty more marks along the back of your neck, and would’ve had more had you not told her to stop.

“Abby seriously, I’m never gonna be able to cover all these up”

“Good, that’s the idea.”

- For the next week you had to wear high necked shirts to cover them all up. Unless you were around her of course. (She secretly loved being the only one to see you in skimpy clothes for a week.)

after a long and grueling rehearsal at the dance studio, you're finally at the triplets house. you were planning on going straight home, wanting to just shower and take a nap, your muscles aching from the intense practice. you had messaged matt, telling him how much your body hurt and your plan to just relax for the rest of the evening. he had replied within seconds, telling you to go over to their house instead. not wanting to deny him, you obliged

you knock on the door, chris swinging it open a couple seconds later. "hey n/n! matt!! your girl's here!!" he yells out, motioning for you to enter. you hear footsteps quickly approach, smiling softly when you see matt

"hey matty" you tiredly mumble, leaning in for a hug. "hey sweet girl," he briefly hugs you back before picking you up bridal style. "gotta surprise for ya" he adds, walking towards the stairs. "hey nick!" you yell out, waving at him as you disappear up the stairs

"mkay, close your eyes" your boyfriend instructs once you're outside his bedroom door. you do as matt says and listen as he opens the door

"open"

you open your eyes and notice you're in the bathroom, the tub filled with fragrant bubbles, and rose petals, candles aligning the tub, creating a serene atmosphere

"thought you might like this after today," he says, gesturing to the bubble bath he prepared

you feel a wave of gratitude, love, and admiration, "what'd i do to deserve you" "i ask myself the same thing everyday" he smiles at you, setting you down on the counter. he gives you a short kiss before heading out, "i'll be back in like 10 minutes, imma go get you some clothes. try an' relax baby"

relief washes over you as you sink into the warm water, the tension in your muscles slowly melting away. you had the best boyfriend ever, no doubt about it

matt walks back into the restroom, setting some clothes on the counter. "thank you for this matt, i truly appreciate it" "course baby, anytime" he replies, sitting by the tub. you two talk about your days, him making you laugh with his usual shenanigans

around 30 minutes later you finish your bath and matt helps you dry off, his eyes filled with nothing but love. he even hands you each individual piece of clothing; pink bra and matching pink panties, a white spaghetti strap top, and grey cotton pajama shorts. the whole time he's eyeing your body, no lust behind his gaze, pure admiration

"matty, put some music on im dying in this silence" the boy giggles and complies, putting on bruno mars. you then take your skin care items out your designated drawer, "skin care time!" you say, hopping on the counter and pulling him in between your legs

you put your white, bow shaped, headband on and hand him the pink dupe, watching as he shakes his head, yet puts the thing on with a smile. "can we record? haven't posted anything in a week..." you ask shyly, lighting up when he nods

"hi guys! get ready with me for bed" you exclaim after brushing your teeth, smiling at the camera. you prop your phone up against the wall, allowing the camera to capture you sitting on the counter and matt standing in between your legs

"today was supper tiring, i had rehearsal for swan lake for like a gazillion hours, my legs felt like jelly by the end of it. wash your face and brush your teeth, baby, please"

"yes ma'am", matt does as told as you continue to speak

"i actually have the best boyfriend ever though, i came home and he had this supper cute bubble bath ready for me. the water was frickin pink! and it had bubbles and rose petals in it, and he lit candles around the tub. it actually made me fall for him 100 times harder"

"okie dokie, hold the mirror for me?" you ask matt, holding up your hand mirror. the boy complies without a word, humming along to whatever song came on. he secretly admired you as you applied all different sorts of products to your face, finding it cute how you rambled on about your day, the camera not failing to pick that

"your turn!" you exclaim, allowing matt to put the mirror down. "guys i actually need to rott in bed all day tomorrow i dont think i can get up- toner please"

he hands you the bottle, you dumping some onto your hand and pressing it into his skin, " -like dont get me wrong, i love being a ballerina, i love bellet, it makes me me, it's just a lot of work, y'know"

you sigh, picking up a vitamin c serum, adding a couple drops to matt's face. "im excited for swan lake though, like i know its one of the most popular ballets, but ive never been in one, that make sense?" you gently rub the substance in, adding hyaluronic acid and tea tree relief serum before doing the same thing

you then pick up your eye cream, showing it to the camera. "i highly! recommend this eye cream guys, it actually works wonders" you say, getting real close to matt's face and applying it under matt's eyes

it was finally time for moisturizer. you grab the bottle and pump some onto the back of your hand, dipping your pointer finger into it and dabbing dots all over matts face. you fall silent as you rub it in, both of you silently admiring the other's beauty

"alrighty, looks like we're done here!"

you reach for your phone, "thanks for joining us tonight. i'm sorry i haven't posted this week, ive been super busy with rehearsals, regardless i love yal, muah" you blow a kiss and stop recording, setting your phone down

"you're amazing, you know that?" matt whispers, leaning down to give you a gentle kiss

you roll your eyes slightly, and wrap your legs around matts waist. "off to bed" he giggles out, securing his arms around you before carrying you to bed

you both lay in his bed for a little. matt scrolling through tiktok as you lay on top of him, softly playing with his hair. "i love you" you say, pressing a kiss to matt's forehead, then to his nose, then his cheeks, then jawline, and finally lips

the boy sighs into the kiss, setting his phone down and wrapping his arms around you. seconds later, he breaks the kiss, "lets get some sleep. you had a long day today, and you'll have a long day tomorrow, you need loads of rest to be awesome tomorrow"

you nod your head, rolling of of him and cuddling into his side instead. he begins to rub the small of your back, watching as you slowly doze off. "goodnight matt, i love you" you mumble half asleep, the tiredness from earlier quick to catch you again. he slowly wraps his arms around you, kissing your head

"goodnight princess"

Talk About The Band

Heheheogo ok so their fuckin thrown together high school band doesn’t have a name still rip BUT they DID play together and they CAN still play

My only music knowledge is thru google searches but pretty much Blondee is lead guitar and vocals , August was the rhythm guitar and vocals (him and Blondee can switch sometimes (also he’s the rich kid that had lots of intruments he’d play)) , Goose did bass guitar occasionally but usually he’d play dumb shit like the cowbell , Max was the drummer exclusively (not a singer, more of a yeller) , Ozzie did the set up for things cus the others are lowkey stupid (he would sing SOMETIMES and he can play the others instruments if needed (also unrelated to the band but he played violin)) , and Dahlia was a singer (and also played dumb shit with Goose)

They ALL still play, but it’s more of a hobby than a lifestyle
