Queer League of Legends Champions (with explanations) - Part II
Check out Part I
Confirmed Pansexuals – Twisted Fate
Twisted Fate was always speculated to be part of the LGBTQ+ community due to his, uh, flamboyancy. The sentiment that he felt something more for Graves was always there, portrayed in their stories through regret, friendship, and loyalty. The Boys and Bombolini color story officially confirmed him as queer, making TFGraves the faces of Pride 2022. This year, he was also seen with the pansexual flag in official pride art, with Riot finally labeling him. It's worth noticing a cute detail (that I doubt was intentional) where his card deck's colors form the colors of his flag!
Confirmed Queers – Ahri, Ekko, Evelynn, Ezreal, Kayn, Nidalee, Renata Glasc, Samira, Taric, Udyr
Ok, this is a long category. Here we have every champion we know for sure is queer, either through external confirmation (Ekko, Ezreal, Kayn, Renata Glasc, Taric), in-game dialogue (Nidalee, Samira, Udyr), or basic lore (Ahri, Evelynn). Let's start with the first group.
Throughout the first half of 2020, Riot released multiple chapters of a Pulsifire color story focused on Ezreal. It explored his relationships with numerous champions of the universe, but especially Ekko. The subtext was strong in this one, and the writer later took to Twitter to talk about how tough it was to have queer stories be censored when working for IPs, not so subtly mentioning Ezreal and Ekko after doing so. Even though Riot might not have agreed with making the Ezko relationship undeniably romantic, their love for one another is still an important part of the story, not to mention that it was the creator's intended vision to begin with.
Renata Glasc was confirmed as sapphic by one of her creators when sharing concept art of her design. Checking the link to the original post, they seem to have deleted the excerpt that mentions it, but people took screenshots before they edited it, most likely because of Riot. Taric, on the other hand, has been speculated to be queer since forever, although the motives are not that pure. Many people saw this hairless, beautiful man that likes jewels and was like, "Huh, that sounds kinda gay," which was the common dudebro mentality of the fandom at the time of his release that caused a lot of homophobia within the player base (more than usual). They weren't wrong, seeing as Riot did include Taric in official 2023 pride art, but he was not seen wearing or holding any flags. After all, it would make sense that he likes everything—and everyone—beautiful. But either way, both Taric and Renata are non-specified queers.
Shieda Kayn is a weirder case. I thought a lot about whether I should even include him in this category at all. There are many accounts of people affirming one of Kayn's writers pictured him as having fluid sexuality, but since then, wherever it was posted, it's gone now. I do believe it since we can still find Reddit threads on the subject, but the original source is nowhere to be found. I still decided to put him here, but take it with a grain of salt.
Moving on to our next category, we have Nidalee, Samira, and Udyr. Samira flirts more than once with Elegant Edge in Legends of Runeterra, and her attraction for her is not subtle. As far as I'm aware, she's never expressed interest in men, but we can't say for sure whether she's bi, pan, or gay. Nidalee and Udyr have had speculated romantic interests in other champions for a while now. Nidalee with Neeko, Udyr with Lee Sin. Nidalee and Neeko's story was first portrayed as one-sided, with Neeko rejected by her friend, prompting them to part ways. On the other hand, the addition of both champions to Legends of Runeterra explored their relationship once again, with the two reuniting and Nidalee finally realizing she did love Neeko and simply didn't know how to deal with it all those years ago. A love song, Shine On, even accompanied the update, which narrates their story beautifully. They have many romantic voice lines now, both in LoR and League.
With Udyr's rework, people started realizing he digs Lee Sin through voice lines expressing how he misses his "old friend" and that he's "loved twice, left twice" (which applies to his relationship with Lee Sin). Besides, his design includes memorabilia he exchanged with Lee Sin when they parted ways. It is also important to mention he's had a wife before, so he swings both ways. I think the context gives more than enough clues for us to safely say Udyr is queer.
Ahri and Evelynn are spirits/demons that prey on their victims (regardless of gender) through charm and seduction. Ahri is essentially a succubus, and Evelynn is the Demon of Agony, with desire and lust being important parts of their characters. It is also worth noting that Evelynn is genderfluid/agender, taking the form of anyone (or anything) that might lure her victims. So their lore essentially confirms them as not straight and not cis (on Evelynn's case, at least).

I find it so funny that every year Flying Tiger pride collection has at least one item in it with an incorrect flag.
I made three categories for it.
1. Wrong order
Here, let me help you remind you how the OG, 8 stripes Pride flag looks like and you spot the difference.
2. Pride flag? What's that? Ah, colours.
3. Why is this in the Pride collection, Tiger?
And an honourable mention to this beauty. Disability Pride flag is a pride flag and it's cool that there's a product with it, but it's not part of the LGBTQ+ community like this item is described. Still, neat, I love it 💕

Kenny Omega's 'Close Friend' Kota Ibushi
As you may have seen Kenny Omega called in his boyfriend to protect him against the Blackpool Combat Club in AEW's third Blood and Guts match on the July 19th episode of AEW Dynamite. And I wish to once again stress that these two are or at least were a queer couple, because commentary made no reference to it calling them 'close friends'.
Now to be fair your bonafide top star being part of the LGBTQ+ community is possibly not the best look for a wrestling company, with wrestling mostly being seen as a masculine thing for straight men throughout the years (well also it's seen as a very homoerotic gay thing just ask EFFY he'll tell you. Like I think that most people imagining a wrestling fan they imagine a man although I'd be interested to see the actual statistics). Although AEW is the company that gave Antony Bowens a beautiful moment of declaring his sexuality on Rampage, so why can't the literal Golden LOVERS be presented as such. It's always funny to me when NJPW or AEW all but say the lovers are queer while announcing them as lovers through a microphone. Now maybe I'm greedy wanting more, I mean hey they're announced as the 'Golden Lovers' and they get to hug a lot so, but I'm not asking for them to dance to the ring to 'It's Raining Men' and have a live sex celebration on a pride flag I just want the shows to acknowledge it even slightly more. Omega and Ibushi have kissed so many times on wrestling shows, their matches are intensely homoerotic and among other things I could mention, Kenny Omega retweeted a tweet thread that repeatedly calls them a couple. So I don't know in my, possibly wrong, opinion calling them 'close friends' with no acknowledgement that it runs so much further than that isn't enough and I want more from AEW in the pair's upcoming weeks.
Also did you know that one of the Lovers' tag moves is a double 450 splash and they called this move the 'Golden Shower' have a nice time with that information.
This has been Undisputed Queer-a.

Billionaire Blow-Job
Featuring Patriots owner Robert Kraft
Back in 2021, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft shocked players and fans when he was spotted in the stands quietly watching our gay flag football game. Naturally, you might be curious why one of the most successful and powerful owners in pro sports with a net worth north of $8 billion is, you know, there. Just hanging out. But apparently he's an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community. And when the game ended, he made sure to say hello and take photos with everyone, offering encouragement and support to the players.
Imagine coming off the field from your neighborhood flag football game, dripping in weekend-warrior sweat, and there stands the owner of the New England Patriots. I was sweaty and panting. And hard as hell. Mr. Kraft looked over at me. He was standing away from the other men, his elbows against the low fence. I hopped over to lean beside him.
"Oh. Hey," I said. "You're the Patriots owner, right?"
Of course, I had known this. Mr. Kraft was well-known in this town for being the owner of Patriots. He had to be in his 80s, but damn, he was fine. Gray hair, a high foreline. Everything I like in a daddy.
He nodded, accepting my handshake as he sized me up, and I let him. I even lifted my shirt to dab at my forehead, though I did not need to, just to show him my abs. I cocked a grin at him, a grin he stared at. He melted and grinned back.
In that, I sensed it. A spark of heat, of tension emanating from the older man's face. Hunger in every line. It was only for a moment, but I could tell he was imagining, perhaps remembering something from the old days.
I had him. And now it was time to reel him in.
"I need a leak." I said, touching my cock, adjusting my jockstrap to emphasize my point. I felt Mr. Kraft's eyes as I did, "I'm gonna go to the bathroom."
I still felt his eyes as I walked towards the outdoor bathrooms some distance away. The team tended to avoid it as they weren't maintained, and stunk of piss, so it was always more favorable to wait until we were back at the locker rooms. But that meant it would be perfect for me. I glanced back at Mr. Kraft before I entered. He stared after me, and I smirked.
I didn't have to wait long, before Mr. Kraft appeared, panting, his lined face pale as he took in my body.
"You want to suck me off? I've always wanted to see how it felt to have my dick sucked by a man." He added as he unzipped his pants, reached inside and pulled out his cock.
He stood there shaking his dick back and forth as it swelled up. And even though I knew he was dating some chick thirty years his junior, I couldn't stop myself from kneeling down in front of him.
"I thought you're seeing someone and… straight." I said looking down as I reached out and took hold of his beautiful dick.
"We're not together right now." He said as I fondled his short thick cut dick.
"And I need to get off." He added as I closed my lips around his pale cut dick.
"Damn! That feels wonderful. Yea!" The old man exclaimed as I easily deep throated his short thick dick.
I loved the taste of the old man's dick. It was fresh and masculine as I slowly run my tongue up and down the shaft as I deep throated his dick. When I pulled his dick out of my throat until only his dick head was left in my mouth, Mr. Kraft started moaning louder as I tongued his sensitive dick head. Then my excitement of sucking on a billionaire’s dick took over and I was working on it for all I was worth.
"Wait let me pull my balls out." The old man pulled back causing his dick to slip out of my mouth.
He reached into his fly and pulled out a set of low gangers before grabbing me behind the head and pulled my face back to his crotch. I quickly took one of his hairy balls in my mouth and suck gently on it. The old man moaned as I sucked harder. He cried out and started shaking all over. I worked him into a frenzy as I moved back and forth from one of his hairy balls to the other and then back again before returning to his cock.
Then he was suddenly pulling my face toward his crotch and forcing his dick down my throat. My desire to please the old man helped me fight from chocking as he shove his cock deeper and deeper into my throat. I wanted to give him more pleasure than he got from his girl friend or wife. I took his plunging dick and made love to it with my tongue as the old man repeatedly shoved it down my throat.
“Damn, this is hot!" The old man called out excitedly as he fucked my mouth faster and faster. “Get ready. I’m going to unload! Damn! Here it comes!”
And it did! I felt a strong stream of cum jetting form his dick. I swallowed and kept swallowing as the old billionaire’s cock squirted out his load. Then even as I continued to suck the last few drops of his cum out, the old man's cock deflated. He let me suck on his soft dick for several more moments before pulling it away.
Just then, I pulled out my dick and started jacking it madly. With his dick still in his hand, Mr. Kraft looked over at me pounding away at my engorged young dick. He glanced down at my long fat dick and then back to his. I could see it in his expression that he admired my cock. I loved that he watch me jack off almost as much as I enjoyed sucking his dick.
Suddenly I shot off spewing my load on the leg of Mr. Kraft's jeans. He stepped back and glanced down at the cum on the leg of his pants. Instead of being mad, it looked like he enjoyed being cumed on!
“Hope I’ll see you here again.” I said as I watched the old man finally put his cock back in his pants.
“Oh, you will. I never refused anyone who wanted it and I will not refuse you.” He said and winked.
I smiled and waved to him as he headed back towards the field to the parking lot. And he was as good as his word. Whenever he stop to see a game, and the urge to get his dick suck, I meet him. He never does anything to me but that’s all right. I enjoy sucking his big cock and swallowing his nice load.

Hi, I am doing an art project focused on LGBTQ+. I really like your blog an I think you could contribute really well! It's really easy, just a positive message to all the people in our community!
Basically, what I need is a short positive message regarding LGBTQ+, plus additionaly what you identify as (or what part of your LGBTQ+ identity you wrote it about)
Together with messages from other people, it will be made into an art piece / pride flag!
I would really appreciate your support but of course if you don't feel comfortable sharing anything it's fine! I just wanted to get the idea over to more people than my posts would get to.
Hey!! This sounds like a wonderful idea, and I'd love to contribute. Here's my paragraph:
Before I joined tumblr and found the loveliest community of queer people and allies around the world, I didn't know a lot of things. I knew I was transmasc and bisexual, but it was strangers on tumblr who reached out when I asked and helped me accept that I'm grey-ace, too, a label that's given me so much comfort and security. And I've learned so many other things, people who use many names and people who use many pronouns, more than I knew existed, and people who've showed me that acceptance is the easiest and most kindest, beautiful thing to see. And that gives me hope, for a future where that respect and acceptance is the norm, and we know we're not alone.
(It's a bit long, I'm so sorry~)
But best of luck with your art project, and I hope this ask gives you more reach!
-Asmi

LGBTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 1, Wave 2, Poll 1
A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.
Check out the other polls in this wave and prior here.
Floofty Fizzlebean-Bugsnax
Qualifications:
They are nonbinary (canonically use they/them pronouns) and during the plot they become an amputee.
Propaganda:
Floofty is a scientist studying bugsnax in the hopes of discovering something that could better the world. They amputated their leg to test a hypothesis on bugsnax having regenerative properties. It works, but only temporarily, and they're shown to use a prosthetic leg post-game. They're a mad scientist. They're a mild autocannibal. They only experiment on willing participants, of which they are the only one. They're selfless to the point of self-destruction. Their color pallet is the nonbinary flag. Vote Floofty.
Anything Else?:
floofty is kinda mean but that's cus every bugsnax character has reasons to like & dislike them. listen I'm paranoid that someone's gonna be like "aha! they're bad rep because they're mean!" but everyone else is equally fucked up don't worry about it
Heart-Moonlight Chicken
Qualifications:
He's deaf (and I think one of the first ever deaf love interests in a Thai drama) and canonically gay with a boyfriend.
hes canonically deaf and gay
Heart is a gay deaf character in the drama moonlight chicken.
Heart is canonically deaf and canonically has a boyfriend at the end of the series! :)
Canonically queer and deaf
He’s canonically deaf and the love interest of another male character (Li Ming)
Propaganda:
A lot of his storyline is about the struggles of being deaf in Thai society. The show is only 8 episodes and he’s only a supporting character so it can't go super in depth to it but his arc was really well done imo. He lost his hearing due to illness like 3 years before canon (I forget th exact time frame), but his parents shut him away and never learned sign language so his storyline is about being able to come into his own and leave the house and everything. Like his love interest learns sign language for him and researches what to do to help him feel normal and supports him as his parents are forced to confront how they've failed their son with their lack of acceptance of being deaf. Like his whole story is just him finally getting to live his life normally again after being shut off from the world and having a supportive boyfriend. At the end of the show, he goes to a deaf college in America to study engineering.
he became deaf after a disease and since then is isolated in his home for 3 years. these years also coincide with the pandemic. and his parents didnt learn sign, just writing their messages in a paper and sliding it to him without hearing what he has to say. he was also presumably degraded for talking because it wasnt very clear because hes literally deaf. his parents by the end of the show try to talk better to him through sign but good god. he was so lonely
Heart is an amazing character. His story show us the hardships he faces with his family acceptance but also the importance of forming a community. His love story with ming is beautiful and heartwarming.
Heart is sheltered by his parents after losing his hearing due to illness. Throughout the series, however, his parents gain more understanding of him and his abilities and he gains a found family with his boyfriend Li Ming and Li Ming's family and it's all so heartwarming and wholesome. Although his parents see him as unable to live a normal life after he loses his hearing, he disproves this by seeking work, building relationships, and getting into college for engineering. He is the best boy!
When we first meet Heart, he is very sheltered from the outside world by his parents, who have taken pretty much no effort to understand Heart’s needs or wants since he lost his hearing. He is homeschooled and doesn’t seem to have any friends or sense of community. His parents leave him alone all the time, choosing instead to focus on their work. His bedroom is full of notes that his parents have left him. Hung up on the walls are different sign language posters, clueing the audience into the fact that he taught himself sign language. Over the course of the show, Heart develops a friendship and, eventually, relationship with Li Ming, a boy who works at a chicken rice shop. Li Ming sneaks Heart out of the house, where they do all kinds of things together – participating in a lantern festival, attending a community gathering for deaf folks, and learning how to drive a motor scooter, off the top of my head. While learning how to ride the motor scooter, however, Heart has a small accident and his parents find out about him sneaking out. The confrontation scene is one that is definitely best translated on-screen, but I’ll try to describe it the best I can. Basically, Heart, Li Ming, and Heart’s parents all hash it out. Heart’s parents accuse Li Ming of influencing Heart to disobey them, Li Ming explains that Heart wanted – and is capable of – doing the things they did together, Heart’s parents barely even look at him during the entire exchange, Heart finally gets fed up and tells his parents exactly how they make him feel, and Heart’s parents have to ask Li Ming what Heart was saying. After this confrontation, things get a bit better with Heart’s parents, though not perfect. At the end of the show, Heart and Li Ming travel overseas together, where Heart attends university and Li Ming works, a dream they talk about quite a few times over the course of the show.
He’s the first deaf love interest in a Thai drama! And he has the most adorable love story with another guy called Li Ming in the show who learns sign language in order to communicate with him more effectively. While he faces struggle from his parents being extremely overprotective after he lost his hearing a few years ago (also since he’s still a teenager) it ends up resolved with them changing their mindset and allowing him full freedom. His story shows struggle while not being a tragedy, and he ends the show going to study in America with his boyfriend being really happy <3
Anything Else?:
I feel like it isn't very often we see deaf queer characters, especially not ones who find love and a happy ending!
The qualifications and propaganda paragraphs correspond, @burnsuncomet is the second submitter.

Okay, so this is a long story but I've been wanting to share it and just haven't.
So a week after I went to see GVF in Boston, I went to participate in an anti-protest in my city. Essentially, there was a protest in support of a homophobic/transphobic policy put in place in the school system in my home province. Me and a group of other queer people/allies went to spread love and awareness and show that what our premier was doing was wrong. I have never experienced more homophobia in my life. Not only did I feel like I was in danger for my own safety (someone stole my pride flag out of my hand and burned it across the street) but for the safety of the queer students in my home province.
But despite all that I reminded myself of the lyrics from Light My Love of "Hate bound by fear will unwind." It was those lyrics that helped me through that day, and continue to motivate me in fighting for what's right.
At the end of this dump, what I'm trying to say is how truly thankful I am for GVF and the community around them. Amongst the peaceful army, I have always felt safe, accepted, and loved. Queerness has been embraced and shown to be beautiful. I have never felt more accepted or comfortable than at a gvf show. Thank you to everyone in this fandom that shows me every day that I am not wrong for being gay.
Love yas 🏳️🌈💞
All of you is loved and accepted here! Though there are days where is feels impossible, I know that progress will be made and there will be more support and acceptance towards the LGBTQ+ community. Until then keep loving who you love ❤️🏳️🌈

Happy last day of pride month! I just wanted to sum up what this month means to me as it comes to a close.
To understand what June means to me, I should probably first state my relationship with the LGBTQ community. I am someone who spent years struggling to find an identity that “fit”. Eventually, I realized I am happiest unlabeled. I like being able to explain the aspects of myself that I have analyzed to oblivion and feel too complex to be just one term. I do not care if people call me a straight man, an asexual woman, a nonbinary lesbian, or any combination of terms in the world. If you hear my description of my identity and pick a label for me, even if I do not agree with it I am still happy you heard me out and tried to understand me to the best of your ability.
You might think that I don’t belong in the LGBTQ community if I don’t identify with any queer labels but I present you with this: if I also don’t identify with any cisgender or heterosexual labels, where do I belong in this world? Nowhere? If gender and sexuality are both on spectrums, where do the people who acknowledge the existence of the spectrum within themselves belong? To me, the LGBTQ community is for people whose identities do not conform with being cisgender and/or heterosexual, and I can assure you that my identity is not that of a cishet woman in denial.
With all of that background out of the way, I feel slightly more comfortable speaking on what pride month means to me. Pride month, in the simplest terms possible, is a time to celebrate what makes your identity “unconventional”, specifically in relation to gender and sexuality. It’s a period where the LGBTQ community can unite under the idea of being proud of their queerness, whether it be being trans or gay or aromantic or bisexual or genderfluid or anything in between. I love pride month. I love seeing flags everywhere and videos of parades and just the joy and love radiating off of everyone’s faces. Pride month is a time to be unashamed of who you love. It really doesn’t matter whether the person you love is a romantic partner you’ve known for decades or a friend you met five minutes ago. Pride month is about sharing who you are with those who are important to you on a personal level, and with the world on a group level. It’s about being honest with the people you love, but also showing those who may be struggling with their identity or in places that may not be as accepting that they are not alone and that it’s okay to be “different”. It sounds reporterish and stereotypical to say that it’s powerful, but it is genuinely moving to see so many people unite under those two words- pride month- to celebrate what makes them different rather than what they have in common.
In conclusion, all I really wanted to say is pride month is a beautiful way to unite with people, whether it be parents, lovers, friends, neighbors, or even strangers on the internet. I hope that someday every LGBTQ person in the world will have at least one person to celebrate their identity with during pride month.
P.S. congratulations to Thailand for being the first Southeast Asian country to pass a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. I am sure this June will be a pride month the people of Thailand will never forget. Hopefully many more countries in Southeast Asia and around the world will follow suit soon.

(Pinterest TOS post- if this image is flagged here too it will just make my point even more concrete- that the sites we all frequent just want to erase literal reality)
So we all know censorship/TOS changes amongst the internet love to cause removal of LGBTQ+ content no matter if it’s “adult content” or not- Tumblr and Pinterest specifically come to mind.
These two websites remove content related to that demographic like it’s their fking drug of choice to do so.
And this pisses me off of course- having people be told their content is a violation just brings up the fact society thinks they’re a violation. They do this while allowing those bots that I won’t mention by name to swarm us in abundance.
But I don’t post queer content- I consume it, but have never been very involved in the internet community related to it. Yesterday, though it’s happened before, I felt what it’s like being told my experience is a violation, and this time something snapped inside of me:
Pinterest alerted me I violated their TOS of “adult content” with this image:
“Amanda and her cousin, Amy” by Mary Ellen Clark. 1990 Valdese, North Carolina
Let’s move past the fact their claiming two 9 year olds in bathing suits is “adult content” and look at the bigger picture- I violated their TOS by adding a photo to a board that was taken by a very well known photographer across the globe for street + social photography. A photo that doesn’t have any “adult content” in it, and instead is documenting the way a lot of kids outside of the pretty suburbs live.
The photographer of this photo documented children who lived lives most of you couldn’t even fathom; ones who sold themselves on the street and ones who had babies while the rest of their age group was playing Nintendo or chatting about George Michael’s hair at a sleepover.
I was so excited and in awe when I saw the photo above: for the very first time in my life, I saw a photo of two kids that reminded me of myself. The life I lived, while the rest of my age group lived in their pretty suburbia & had mommy + daddy home everyday to cater to their every need. I saw through not only this photo but many others in her series, my life in beautiful pictures- I never really realized I hadn’t until this moment.
This photo, and the others surrounding Mary Ellen Mark’s work, document the lives so many people/kids like me lived within: they document the reality typical society can’t bear to look at. God forbid you look at us and really take us in- we’re just oh so shameful, right?
Just like the LGBTQ+ content tumblr and Pinterest love to censor, remove, block- our lives fucking existed. Children like this? They existed and currently still exist. Just because it doesn’t fit your world view doesn’t mean you can remove it… maybe if sites left photos like this alone, someone could come along and go “wow… she’s like me” just as I had the opportunity to do. Maybe they could gain the opportunity to realize that they’re not shameful to society- they too, are just a part of it as the kids they go to school with.
For the first time in my life, my childhood was displayed in someone’s photography and for the first time, I didn’t feel so alone.
So fuck you Pinterest, and thank you Mary Ellen Mark💗

Honestly I don't know if I prefer Crowley and Aziraphales relationship as it is in the book (more of a friendship) or like it is in the show (romantic).
In the show their relationship is beautiful and precious and everything you could hope for.
But I would really like to see more friendships in media where people just care and love each other the way these two do. Friendships where they don't fear showing affection and expressing their love for the other, particularly male (well male presenting in this case) because I don't see men showing any compassion or affection towards their friends. And that makes me so sad.
(If it were up to me I'd have them be in a QPR, but homophobes would constantly invalidate their connection and the lgbtq community would constantly flag down the author for queerbaiting because aroace identities apparently aren't as valid as their identity (thanks guys))

Happy Pride Month!
Hey all! Happy June!!. As a member of the community myself, I'm so excited to celebrate. The LGBTQ+ community has come a long way, especially with representation. I feel like it's more important than ever to highlight stories with great representation. So in honor of pride month, here is a list of media with LGBTQ+ representation & stories.

I'm a cis woman, and I'm also hetero. I didn't realize I was Asexual until 2022, and I didn't realize I was considered apart of the LGBTQ+ community until recently. My parents accepted me when I came out and so did my friends and boyfriend. I was so happy. I don't really celebrate pride (I don't know how to lol) and I was originally just gonna make some ace pride art...until I saw this lineart coloring challenge that DA presented and saw all the abhorrent hate comments on it. I am disgusted. No one deserves hate for being who they are. For what they're born as. So I colored this to say to all of you that you're beautiful, you're loved, and you're fine the way you are.
My tumblr, DA, and insta are all safe spaces, and you're always welcome to them. Love yourself because you are a wonderful person and you deserve it! <3 I hope you all like the lineart, and I'm sorry if your flag isn't on here, I ran out of spots to put flags on. But if your flag isn't on here, please know that you are still valid, loved, and wonderful!! Happy pride! <3
The lineart is by Thiefoworld!

After thinking about how much I love my sister, I started thinking about how much I love my dad. Words can't describe how lucky I was to have such a loving, supportive, caring father like him. Specifically when it comes to LGBTQ+ matters. I'm also just kind of a daddy's girl at heart.
Now, he's the most Cisgender, Heterosexual male to ever walk this Earth. But he's also the most enormous ally of the LGBTQ+ community I've ever seen. So much so that he's practically waving a rainbow flag at any second. This man's support of the community is actually insane, and it gives me instant Serotonin just thinking about it. How many Cishet parents, especially coming from a country like Korea, who (even though they've gotten better about this over time) have a culture where being LGBTQ+ is still very taboo, would be as enthusiastic as he is about these matters? It warms my heart so much.
He actually gets so passionate and heated about it too. I remember one night at dinner (I can't remember the context of this), he actually said something along the lines of: "God, there are just so many people who say "marriage is only for men and women". Like why? That is so ridiculous."
My LGBTQ+ heart jumped a little in happiness at him being so outspoken about Homophobia.
But my favorite thing is how passionate of a Transgender ally he is. Even though neither my sister nor I are Trans (I'm Genderfluid AFAB and my older sister's Cisgender), he gets so adorably excited when talking about Trans people. I don't know what it is about Trans people, but he actually loves them so much? I remember one day, I was talking to him about nothing much in particular, and then the subject turned to video games. A long time ago, I got really into this Choose-Your-Own-Adventure video game series called Life is Strange, and he brought up a game that was similar to Life is Strange that he played. And he said something along the lines of:
"Well, if you play it, you'll see, but there's something super cool and interesting that happens when you get farther along. You actually find out that the main character is actually *gasps* a Trans Guy! Like he was born a girl but he's really a boy. Isn't that just the coolest thing, Doodler? I thought it was so cool. I really enjoyed that. You should play it."
And then another instance, he began talking about the two people who directed the Matrix movies, the ones with Keanu Reeves (The Wachowskis), because he recently watched the newer Matrix movie which I can't remember the name of. He brought the directors up because he told me:
"Oh, and they're not the brothers. People thought they were, but they're actually the sisters. They're Transgender. Isn't that great?"
My sister was there as well, and she also talked about how cool she thought that was too, especially because the Wachowskis apparently came out later in their lives than most.
I can't emphasize how incredible it is to have a father who gets so excited about other people's identities that are different than their own. He is so outspoken about how everyone should be accepted for who they are, and how everyone is beautiful for who they are. He is part of the reason that I always grew up accepting people for who they are, and why I was always so comfortable with exploring and figuring out who I was as I grew older.
And when I ended up coming out to him, I asked him gently if he was surprised. And his reaction was telling me that he only wanted me to be happy. We also hugged. That response and acceptance from him meant everything. Something tells me that he would proudly brag about me and my LGBTQ+ identity to as many people as possible if he could.
And over the summer, I was playing the South Park: Fractured But Whole video game, and I showed him my character's page, and how I'd made my character Bisexual like I am (side note, it's super cool how the game allows you to make your character LGBTQ+). And when he saw this, he laughed and gave the biggest grin. He told me he loved that I did that. And that gave me such a warm feeling inside that I could share these things with him so openly.
There are unfortunately so many people who have to hide who they are from their parents for fear of judgement or worse. But the fact that I don't have to and can be proud of who I am in front of my dad is a testament to how amazing and accepting of a parent he is. All dads should honestly take notes, at least when it comes to being supportive of the LGBTQ+ community.
I think this is also why my dad reminds me so much of Bob. All of the reasons I outlined why I love my dad and how accepting he is are all reasons I love Bob as well, and why I think Bob is such a great dad. And this scene has something my dad would definitely say:
I'm going to tag @br1ghtestlight here because I know he's Trans, and I just think he'd like to read about my wholesome #1 Trans Ally dad :3
#lgbtq parenting#personal#i love him so much i'm about to scream and cry#he's truly the only dad ever like bob and both of them would proudly march in a pride parade in support#he's genuinely so loving and caring and supportive it almost doesn't feel real and i just stan him so so much#he's also a HUGE feminist and an advocate for women's rights probably because he's surrounded by so many women 🤣#and also a HUGE advocate for reducing the stigma on mental health which is lovely to see ^^

🏳️🌈A list of more monogamous gay (wlw and mlm) medias for those of us that loves romantic comedies and fidelity. 🎞️🍿
Have you ever noticed how the modern LGBTQ+ community is often...how do I say it, promiscuous (not that there is anything wrong with it)? Sadly, unfortunately, there are some of us queer ones that feels rejected and left out, because we wish for all the hallmarks of a romantic comedy as our idea of pride. I know, because I am a lesbian that wishes for a good old 1950s-style date with a woman. And I often feel alone in a world that puts forward (with all due respect to the community) a provocative, quasi-porn-like pride. It is just not my cup of tea. Long story short, therefore, I compiled my own list of movies, tv series, comics and even fanfictions that are more like my taste. I do hope that someone else find solace in this list. ENJOY AND HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
List of more monogamous gay movies and other medias:
Movies:
Imagine Me and You
Love, Simon
Can't Think Straight
Spoiler Alert
Strange Frame: Love and Sax (one of my favourite. Thank you, Tubitv!)
Set in a future where humans left Earth a long time ago for the moons around Jupiter, a woman named Parker falls in love with a musician named Naya and forms a band. But a cunning producer tries to tear them apart. Interesting world building and animation. Very psychedelic in style.
The Rainbow Bridge Hotel (Tubitv)
A gay couple tries to get married in a old motel, while the silly owner gets in trouble with inspection. (Tubitv)
Strange World (the latest Disney movie. This movie's main protagonist (Ethan) is gay and no one makes a big deal about it. Plus, Ethan and Diazo (his crush) are so dang cute, together.)
Ringolivio (Tubitv)
A young woman passionned by insects visits her girlfriend's brothers for the first time and spends a peculiar holiday, struggling to fit in with these strange brothers.
Bros (some might like it, but I hated it. Such a whiny and unlikeable, yap-yapping protagonist.)
The Falls triology (Tubitv)
A triology about two mormon young men falling in love. Nice story,
but filmed in an extremely boring way. I understand that these are independant movies
with less budget, but dang, stop filming with a still camera all the time. All three movies
were on Tubi tv, last time I checked if you are interested.
Straight Jacket (on Tubitv, as of July 10th, 2024)
A lesser-know little gem of a movie that explores, in a humorous, but sincere way, the plights of being a hearthrob of a male actor in the 50s...While being a closeted gay one...Delightfully campy in execution, but made with love! Would definitely recommend it! A big thank you to youtuber Matt Baume for making me discover it! 👍😀
TV series with monogamy in it:
Heartstopper
The L Word (at least in the beginning. Please do not spoil me as I am not done with this series, yet. I love how each woman in his series is developped beyond their orientation.
Something that Netflix should learn, frankly.)
Steven Universe
(UPDATE (07/11/2024)):
My Pride (Youtube animated Webseries)
This awesome, epic webseries follows the tumultuous life of a young lioness living in a rather cruel society in which male lions must kill the chief lion of a pride and his cubs to claim a pride and become a Mane (Leader of a pride).
Our heroine (which will be named in a moment, for lionesses have no name at birth) heroically wounds a Mane that killed her father one day and thus, is allowed to live, along with her remaining brother. But at a terrible price, that of limping and having a deeply scarred face. When she becomes an grown lioness, this handicap earns her the name of Nothing. That same evening, Nothing meets a Prideless lioness named Hover...And a new destiny begins.
FULL SEASON 1:
Our Flag Means Death (Crave (Canada), HBO Max (USA))
This series, very loosely based on the real life Stede Bonnet and Blackbeard, follows the funny, but touching adventures of a gentleman, Stede, leaving his wife and children to become a pirate, after financing his own boat and crew. One day, Stede's crew comes into contact with the “dreaded” Captain Blackbeard...And soon enough, a camaraderie and something more starts to bloom...
Good Omens (Prime video)
From the writers behind the famous Discworld book series, comes a funny, whimsical, fantasy series about two angels that goes way back when (Arziraphale and Crowley) trying to prevent a child that is destined to be the AntiChrist from bringing the end of times. Funny and touching. And real cute.
Hazbin Hotel (Prime video)
A great classic-in-the-making that was at first the baby of a Polish-American (if I remember correctly) lady named Vizziepop on Youtube. After a couple of years...It finally got financed by Prime...And the result is an amazingly queer animated musical with such unique bangers of songs! A MUST SEE!
Anyway, for those of you that do not know that series, it is about the bubbly princess of hell, Charlotte “Charlie” Morningstar, who is determined to reform sinners to save them from an annual extermination in Hell. She thus builds a hotel that will act as a rehab center of some sort, helped out by her girlfriend, Vaggie, a cat-like sinner called Husk, a strange little cleaning lady, Nifty, a mysterious overlord named Alastor, and a horny porn star named Angel Dust. One thing for sure, strange shenanigans will ensue in the Hazbin-I mean, Happy Hotel!
PILOT EPISODE ON YOUTUBE (WHERE IT ALL STARTED):

Comics with a monogamous gay relationship:
Heartstopper (obviously) (by Alice Oseman, available in most libraries and on
Amazon, plus its original web comic format (Tumblr and Tapas). :
A sugary-sweet comic about two british teenage boys falling in love. Famously adapted into
a Netflix series, recently.
Puu (by Nabi):
Set in India, this comic follows a man named Jameel that lives with a quirky, flower-loving roommate named Saboor. They slowly developp feelings for each other, but struggle in a rather unwelcoming India. Lovely, simplistic art.
Bingo Love (by Tee Franklin, Jenn St-Onge and Joy San)
A most gorgeous comic book romance about two black girls falling in love in the 60s, then after being separated for years, finding each other at the same Church Bingo where they met as kids.
Rock and Riot (by Cheriiart)
A most beautiful, inclusive comic about basically the lesbian version of Danny and Sandy (from Grease) falling in love in a sort of alternative universe where it's the 50s and queer ones are rather accepted.
Ivy comic by mimimar
A dream come true for a lesbian that loves sapphic, disney princesses vibes. I feel like I'm reading a Disney Golden Book. So darn cute so far.
Fanfictions with gay monogamy in it:
Fanfiction: medicine (fandom: Watchmen, Pairing: Nite Owl x Rorshchach)
This beautiful 18+ fanfiction is about Nite Owl and Rorshchach developping, or rather revealing burried feelings after Rorshchach gets wounded on a patrol, coupled with being sick. While Nite Owl (alias Daniel) nurses him back to health, Rorshchach lets down his guard and accidently shows himself without his mask to him for the very first time. Thus the Walter Kovacs underneath begins to timidly show itself from the cracks. Slow-burned and very tender. My new favourite fanfiction.
100% Exhausted (fandom: Mob Psycho 100, Pairing: TeruMob (Teruki Hanasawa x Shigeo Kageyama)
A most adorable TeruMob fanfic in which a worn-out Mob returns from work and Teruki is the best, caring boyfriend to him. Bonus appearances of Shou and Ritsu.

I saw a writing thing on Pinterest about writing romantic relationships, and one of the things talked about was “hearing a character say “I love you” has become boring. unless it’s done in a surprising confession or unique way, it’s boring or stale.” A sentiment I 100% agree with btw, but it did get me thinking about how this piece of advice applies to LGBTQ relationships.
It’s a pretty common, practically a rule, that the only way a queer relationship can be proven to be real is either a kiss, or “I love you”. Because queer relationships have been treated with so much plausible deniability and coding/subtext that you can’t know for certain if a relationship between two character of the same gender is romantic or not. And I think that has negatively impacted how queer relationships are portrayed in media. Moments like, “My compassion for you is inconvenient, Will.” “It’s beautiful.” and “So, I reckon, what makes Ed happy is...you.” are communicating the words “I love you” but in ways that make sense for the character’s arc and/or personality, but since they aren’t the ACTUAL words, readings of these instances often go straight (pun intended) over audiences’ heads. Our Flag Means Death needed to add a kiss onto the scene to make it undeniable.
and maybe that’s why I find so many queer relationships to be so unfortunately bland when dealing with these kinds of moments. Because while there are queer relationships that do use the “I love you” moment to great effect (Schitt’s Creek, heart goes out to you) others don’t because it’s not about the characters, it’s about making sure there is no plausible deniability. It’s an unfortunate aftereffect of spending over 90% of Hollywood’s history being only codes and subtext.
