Hey so uh… when was it ever okay to push boundaries like this??
I’ve been genuinely FREAKED by the ungodly number of people (minors specifically!!) who aren’t listening to the pinned posts/bios when it says “MINORS DO NOT INTERACT”. It’s really NOT hard to respect others, and there is NO EXCUSE for this to be happening.
Seriously, this has me both concerned and pissed off (especially considering some minors’ blogs have the “25+ don’t interact!!” stuff on it - The FUCK?? Y’all that’s textbook hypocrisy, PLEASE respect those adults like those adults would respect you). How would you all blog owners under 18 feel if someone didn’t even bother to respect your bio/pinned post? Because THAT’S how it’s feeling to adult blogs who have EXPLICITLY stated they didn’t want minors interacting with the blog (that includes likes, reblogs, comments and PLEASE for the LOVE OF GOD don’t send them asks if you are under 18!!).
This is to the point where I’m having a hard time coming up with the words to better describe how this feels as someone three years away from 30. When there are boundaries set, it’s as clear-cut as “follow them or face the consequences for disrespecting them”. Squicking out my friends who are just wishing for some semblance of respect for once in their lives is NOT COOL, and it screws ANY chance at you being able to have proper community-integrated friends after you turn 18.
Respect, even down to the bio of the blog goes BOTH. WAYS.

Imagine the roles reversed. The female (Carol) is like Daryl's character (or how people seem to view him), sexy, strong, loyal, longer brown hair (not grey), nice catch, young (not that he is but ppl seem to think he is compared to Carol). The male (Daryl) is like Carol's character, gray hair, older (not really but ppl view it that way), strong, sexy, loyal.... If Daryl was the (seemingly) older one with gray hair and Carol had long brown hair and appeared younger, Zabel would jump at the chance to make them romantic! Total double standard and ageism at its worst. I recently read a ton of comments under a photo of Caryl fanart (on TWD insta no less) and the vast majority went on and on how it was gross, they were like brother and sister, too close to each other to be romantic, she's like his mother blah blah blah, then ppl were getting pissed and saying their comments had nothing to do with ageism while they proceeded to say he should've been with Beth or Connie? Sounds like blatant ageism to me. Makes me wonder if TWD just deleted comments in favor of Caryl. Either way, the double standard is pathetic! Caryl belong together, they are obviously romantic. Give up the ridiculous stereotypes and make Caryl happen AMC! We are tired of the double standard and tired of waiting on explicit Caryl canon. If you want fans to stick around, now is the time to make it happen! #FireDavidZabel #amc #AMC_TV

As much as I'm looking forward to tomorrow, the amount of people I've seen wanting Carlos to be mad at TK is just...what? It doesn't even necessarily seem like they think he did anything wrong (he most certainly did not do anything wrong), they just want to see Carlos angry at him. For what? Payback? It's actually kind of ridiculous how for some people, all TK has to do is breathe for them to hold it against him. Carlos is allowed to be upset about the situation especially since it looks like either him, TK or both are going to be viewed as suspects but that is not TK's fault.
Also, I'm all for diving deeper into Carlos’s character and seeing more growth but I do find it very weird that people are looking forward to seeing Carlos’s flaws yet any time TK has shown any flaws, those same people hate on him. First off, Carlos has always had flaws. It's just been a lot easier to ignore them until now and it's not surprising that people are now spiraling to see Carlos being the one in the wrong unquestionably when in the past they've been able to just shift all the blame onto TK. But Carlos has always been flawed and there's nothing wrong with admitting that. I actually understand why a lot of people are feeling very sensitive over TK right now bc after 3 seasons of seeing him get hated on for every little thing, it's incredibly frustrating to see those same people just brush aside the fact that Carlos kept a massive secret from him and act like TK isn't allowed to have feelings. Not only that, but they are still clamoring for "obvious proof" that TK loves Carlos. So I can understand why people are feeling so tense that it comes out as anger over the whole situation with Carlos. And with this new episode, things are about to get even more tense. From where I'm standing, the problem isn't even with Carlos’s marriage (at least not entirely) but with the blatant double standard that certain people have where if Carlos is shown to have flaws, it's bc of bad writing (even though this sloppily written storyline does fit his character perfectly) but when TK makes the slightest mistake, people are literally killing him off in spite fics. I'm not even bothered by the storyline anymore, my only problem is the blatant double standard where TK is apparently always to blame for everything and can do nothing right

I love how those lestat fans anons are so angered by Louis lmao LDPDL the power that you have! He makes them loose their mind over his beautiful existence. They cannot comprehend how enthralling and compelling he is as a character. And why their fave is at his feet and will always be.
I'm always laughing when lestat fans complain about Louis being whiny when he has legit reasons to be sad and complain about his life. But if we have to point out fingers at whiny people, Lestat is right there. Like this man is the definition of whiny and pathetic. His fans have to brass themselves because we're going to see more of this side of him in s3.
But like Jacob said "fuck Lestat". This abusive asshole of a man was never worthy of Louis and I'm glad Louis choose himself. Had their reunion in that shack and he said "it was nice seeing you but that's about it. I love my life as it is right now and I wouldn't change it for anyone. Adieu!✌️"
that was blatant bait, just wanted to share
Louis is such a complex and deeply layered character, idk how people can find him uninteresting. He is kind of silently gloomy, he likes to ponder, soak in his sadness and grief. He expresses it with anger (at others and himself). A very depressed vampire, love that closure he got for himself, growth✨ (ignoring the implication of that ending).
Tumblr media
Lestat is a narcissistic drama queen. I find both characters interesting, but Louis is my fav while Lestat is on the bottom, he's (unintentionally) hilarious, but i just simply don't think about him (if i do, i either laugh or get mad), while i could discuss Louis for hours. I am biased, ik, but idc, i love him unconditionally. It's hard to hate bookStat because he's so stupid it's funny, showStat is also stupid af, but he pisses me off more, i will never get over how he treated both Louis and Claudia, what he did to them. I'm happy for Louis tho 💖
it's silly to have a one-sided beef with a fictional character, i appreciate what Lestat's character is portraying in the show, he's simply a tool to share a certain idea/message/story after all. my problem centers on the reception he gets. the double standards when it comes to Louis and Claudia, insane.
it would be so funny when we get to s3, and the “real” Lestat, from his own pov, is even worse lmao, he's such a clown. i mean, i was reading the books and i just, i can't even be mad because of the ridiculousness? 😂
oh hey Niki, why u crying lol anyway, i'm leaving today, going to trave. oh, about that, do you remember that fucked up scary ass vamp who had kidnapped and tortured you? yeah, the one who had released you literally just this morning ha ha... so, i'm leaving you with him and his minions, yeah those guys, i think it will be a nice experience for you. oh, no, don't cry! i know that you already miss me but i can't take you with me, i'll write you tho. oh, please stop the hysterics, it's not that serious, you will see me soon. very cute of you to cry because you love me so much btw :/ anyway, have fun, make new friends, i'm sure you'll have lots of great experiences ;) x
lestat had really listened to armand's backstory, and was like, hm, this marius guy, would love to meet and be friends with him. lmao 😭 and then rubs it in armand's face? i can't. there was a similar post, but i can't find it, i'll try to do something similar. so all this time you though marius was dead, crying yourself to sleep, wishing he'd save you, grieving him? yeah, so he's actually... doing great? yep, this whole time lol oh, and he came to me, like, immediately ha ha ha. we had so much fun. remember his secret he refused to share with you? no, no, he hadn't just told me, he took me to them! can you believe it, lmaaaao. and then i drank our mother's blood, mmm😏.... just made realize, since i am my mother's maker, it makes me her father and master😏...i will return to these thoughts later today, once i'm alone))) oh, yeah, so marius was like, if you tell anyone i'm going to kill everyone you love and then you. but then he was like, jk lol he even game a loving nickname, so silly. are you sure it's the same guy who had beat the living shit out of you over nothing? the one from whom you had to hide under some chick's bed? naaah, can't be him. he says i'm his favorite, which is ridiculous because we knew each other for days, ha ha ha
and with the body thief, jesus christ (talking about jesus christ😏yep), lestat. oh, so this random guy, who has been stalking me, who steals bodies (he said so himself, and even tried to steal mine without my consent lol), that everyone had warned me about, suggested to swap bodies for like a week, and he promised to give mine back, so nice of him. obviously i had accepted lol, but i think he might have tricked me??? like, he left me with nothing? but that wasn't sus tho. but he haven't shoved up to switch our bodies back, so weird, really didn't expect this :/ anyway, pissing sucks, and i really want to fuck that old man david, oh and for some reason my brain has connected him to claudia??? yea, but i wanna hit real bad (to be fair lestat wants to bang everyone)
i have a new daughter now, she's married to my clone btw ;)
the core of all the vamps, the spirit Amel: *looks and acts just like Lestat* Lestat: i want you so bad🥵
normal person: Hello, my name is -. lestat: I’m the vampire Lestat. I’m six feet tall, have blue-gray eyes that sometimes appear violet, and a lean athletic build. My hair is blond and thick and hangs to my shoulders, and over the years it has become lighter so that at times it seems pure white. My face is square, my mouth full and sensual, my nose insignificant, and I am perhaps one of the most conventional looking of the Undead you’ll ever see. Almost all vampires are beautiful. They are picked for their beauty. But I have the boring appeal of a Matinee Idol-
you can't make this shit up, those books were a trip

I think disliking jensen is fair considering what he has done in the past and not apologized for. It's not wrong to think that he is in some degrees the same person he was then because he hasn't done that much to change except get more quiet about it. I'm not sure it is fair to be mad at people for their dislike of him
no idc if ppl don't like him but i DO think the blatant twisting of words / situations and refusing to see the whole picture and consider context just to vilify him is not fair. like you Know those cons are full of rabid j///2 fans, many of which have crossed boundaries over the yrs and sent death threats to jensen's wife / family over destiel shit. of course he's going to be more careful / quiet in those situations. holding someone to their past actions of over a decade ago and refusing to let people grow and change their opinion is a horrible mentality to have. believing the worst in people is so toxic imo. people love to say actors are just some guys but then refuse to extend the same basic courtesy of what being "just some guy" means aka they are imperfect people. they will make mistakes, they will say the wrong things or stumble over their words. i think we all deserve to give people more grace in general. life is an learning process. lord knows i said stupid shit in 2012 and have changed and grown and become more informed on so many things.
also, when misha was being censored at creation cons and having to toe the party line with "open to interpretation" answers everyone was fine to look at the big picture and realize he was not able to speak freely abt destiel / the confession at those cons. but somehow they think jensen wouldn't have those same constraints placed on him??? the double standard is ridiculous.

The censorship problem
Today's topic will be regarding censorship in children's literature.
TW: Mentions of outdated views including racism, transphobia, mentions of fat shaming, and brief mention of several indecent explicit relationships.
Some authors are jerks.
Let me explain, authors like Dr. Suess and Roald Dahl, to name a few, have ideas that are considered offensive. Books including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Green Eggs and Ham, classics of literature, are under close examination, due to the authors supporting outdated viewpoints, and the publishers requiring books to uphold ‘modern’ standards. Many publishers have banned, which in this context means the removal of all versions of a text, multiple books by these authors from shops and libraries as they believe these books fail to reach the above criteria.
I believe that publishers should not be allowed to remove all versions of a book from stores due to the outdated views of the author, if the book contains no offensive comments or imagery or if it can be easily altered. Whilst Agatha Christy’s novel, And Then There Were None, had a necessary change of title, not once but twice, this edit made sense, as the original and first edit title was blatantly racist. However, not all censorships are for understandable reasons.
I will be asking whether the edits are just an attempt from corporate companies to appear inclusive, and the double standards of publishers and corporate companies.
Would you ban the work of an artist? If we are alright banning the creative work, work that holds no offensive commentary or viewpoints, written by classic authors, why is art any different?
Many artists have outdated and offensive viewpoints. For example, Leonardo De Vinci had an explicit relationship with several of his students. This blatant clash with societies modern expectations is neither noted nor discussed as a topic of concern. We fail to ask whether Da Vinci’s actions may have been expressed in his creative work. We neglect to notice the double standards that many classic writers face. If we let Da Vinci’s work pass without question, simply because he is considered a classic artist, then shouldn’t authors work also go unquestioned because it’s a classic?  If it is societies belief that classic author could be influencing their children with their outdated prejudice, then shouldn’t it be vital to make sure that children do not view the works of classic artists? After all, mightn’t this work have a negative effect?
If we are going to examine, to an almost microscopic scale, every way in which a children’s book might contain degrading and offensive social commentary, then shouldn’t artists be put under the microscope as well?
The ban of 6 Dr. Seuss books, and unnecessary censorship of words in Roald Dahl’s books, such as cutting out the word fat in context of Augustus Gloop from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and removing the description of the witches as ugly, from his book The Witches, once again strikes as unnecessary. The removal of descriptive words for characters is ridiculous. If we are getting rid of the word fat, shouldn’t the word skinny and beautiful also be removed? After all, skinny shaming is a sadly common thing. By getting rid of words like fat, we are further enforcing the negative ideals that skinny is better. Publishers must be careful to refrain from pushing equally unhealthy standards. It is better to leave in words like fat and ugly to avoid unconsciously pushing skinny and pretty ideals.
Now, it is acknowledged that Roald Dahl and Dr. Seuss held outdated viewpoints. Both authors made racist comments, and Dr. Suess created stereotypical, racist cartoons and had a hatred for foreigners, something that his publishers and family, rightfully, disagree with, but censorship of his work to such a level, is unnecessary. Large companies, including the publishers of Roald Dahl and Dr. Seuss, want to make it appear they are doing something to tackle division. However, this comes at the cost of classic children’s books. I mean, did Roald Dahl’s publishers really need to change the description of Oopma Loopmas from small men to small people?
However, his children books contained little of this offensive imagery or language. The most extreme case of this racism in his children’s work is when he included a stereotypical cartoon of an Asian man and an offensive description of Asian people. These types of outdated drawings can be easily edited, or the publisher can put a disclaimer at the beginning of the book, stating that the don’t support any racist views.
Also, if we are so worried about outdated viewpoints appearing in the media, should the Harry Potter books go under close examination? After all, doesn’t J.K. Rowling tick all the boxes for an author with outdated views? She’s made transphobic comments online. By the standards of the publishers who publish books by Dr. Suess or Roald Dahl, her books should undergo editing. Yet they haven’t. Why is this? Because they still sell, because ‘it was a misunderstanding’, because the publishers have decided to distract us with the new games and merchandise that’s put out under the Harry Potter name?
When considering edits to children’s books, we must look at the motives of the company. Companies like Disney, who, in some cases, want to appear that they are being progressive, despite focusing attention on the wrong things. Children’s books should not fall victim to corporate schemes and quick money making. They shouldn’t be unnecessarily edited so that the CEO’s of the company can complement their inclusivity.
Timeless pieces like The Cat in the Hat and James and the Giant Peach, cannot and should not be altered for using descriptive words like fat.
I believe that classic children’s books should not be banned or censored by the publishers for the simple fact that the authors hold outdated views, or the book was written a while ago.
Are we going to let publishers get away with slap-dash censorship when it is completely unnecessary? Are we going to ignore the double standards of artists compared to authors? And forget the fact that publishers are unconsciously pushing standards like skinny and pretty.
It is crucial to fully comprehend the steps publishers are taking to modernise books so that we can avoid unnecessary censorship.
Thank you for reading :)
Next post will be talking about the safety of certain work industries for women and what steps need to be taken for a safer future for these industries.

Funny how you give a half assed apology only after one of your friends just about begs you to — not to mention the blatant lies about your final warning. Yeah, you may have gotten one in the end, but according to higher ups it only removed your rep role, and wouldnt affect you in any way shape or form. To be quite honest, your explanation for the docs meanings just looks like you trying to last minute cover your ass at this point.
Dont be upset when other server owners see your bs, catch it for what it is, and ban you preemptively off their servers. Hellfire upper staff were biased, and didnt approach the situation in an acceptable way at all whatsoever, so you cant use their judgement as a standard. Or you can, yknow, whatever. You do you. If you wanna say “oh well this sever that imploded in on itself said this so…” then thats on you buddy.
The people in that pack, as vulgar as they could get at times, called your shit for what it was. You cant expect nobody to have a negative reaction when you write nasty bs like that, especially in a server where children are present. “I gave warning” doesnt matter when there are MINORS who have easy access to it. If you had wanted to put that shit in an 18+ server with grown and consenting adults, whatever, its still fucked, but you’re all adults. Whats not okay is knowingly putting it in a space where children can access it.
Your lies and double standards are so ridiculous its almost funny. Stay safe ig — oh, and to anyone whos reading this. Her dms are only open to people who she likes. If she thinks you arent worth her time shes just gonna say “lmao” and block you. 🙏💕
Make amends my ass.

To the post that you posted about someone saying that F1 never posted about the Abuse Lewis gets lives under a rock I swear.
I had a argument with someone saying that the Abuse Yuki, Zhou and Alex got should get the same attention as Lewis since those 3 are POCs, I remember seeing that Mattia called Yuki, Yuki Tsunami where was that Anger 🤨, what about when people mistook Alex for GP and they was giving him death threats and racist abuse, and Nicholas Latifi he had to have security at Winter Wonderland because of LH fans after 21 like I’m sorry where are the statements.
The Abuse Carlos gets from Charles fans, Max with Checo fans, Max with Lewis fans, I’m sorry but it’s time F1 start making statements for each driver because I can see it getting worse, I mean the Checo fans threatening max saying wait till you come to Mexico, like I’m sorry but this is over 1 race and Checo said he didn’t want to pass Max on team orders and even if max let him by Checo wouldn’t be second last year he’d still be 3rd.
It’s Ridiculous that these drivers get Abuse, Racist threats, Death threats and only one driver they say something out against.
Max called out his fans for burning the Mercedes’ Merch and the threats, yet Lewis never called his fans for the death threats against Latifi or even the racist abuse thrown at Alex for no reason, remember when last year in Zandvoort was it when Yuki went back out and he had to stop which brought out the safety car and people was sending hate to Hannah saying she told Alpha Tauri to send him out and she got a load of hate and one of Lewis fans on twitter came out with a statement saying they don’t condone it all Lewis did was Retweet it and then the rest of his fans bullied that person so they took it down like Wtf if you know what your fan base is like call them out it’s not hard
Sorry for the rant but it needs to be said
SPEAKING FACTS FACTS FACTS !!!!!!
F1 is full of double standards and it pisses me off so bad. ”Racism Lewis bad!!” Yes, I agree. But keep that same fucking energy to EVERYONE.
I firmly believe that if you are going waste your energy on HATING someone, at least do it the right way. I literally can’t take anyone serious when they talk about the racist abuse Lewis gets because they’re usually the same people who sent death threats to Masi and Latifi.
F1 is literally racing in countries that don’t give a fuck about these things. It’s all performative. ”We race as one” my ass bruh.
This is not only in F1. Racism against Asians is so normalized it’s disgusting. When covid started, I saw so much RACISM against Asians. But then George Floyd happened and suddenly everyone is AGAINST racism??? What the actual fuck bruh. You can’t even call these people out without being accused yourself
When Red Bull boycotted Sky Sports everyone just laughed and said Max is soft and whatever, but if it was any of the brits people would be shitting on Sky.
Also last year in Zandvoort the MISOGYNY against Hannah is fucking disgusting??? ”Praise women in motorsports!” but when a woman does her job right in a team you don’t like, it excuses blatant misogyny???
Red bull team and fans receive so much bullshit just for existing because British media has painted them as the villain and people will let their hatred blind them. Fuckin sheep i swear.
This is the exact reason why i stay out of the core community. I enjoy the sport. I love it, even. But i’m not gonna be a hypocrite. I give money every month to pay for F1TV, so technically I am part of the problem - just like everyone else. If you’re gonna speak on these issues, acknowledge your (and your favourite’s) hypocrisy because if you don’t you just show you lack braincells

I just want to say, I knew it would happen but it’s still gross to see the double standards, but how Maya and wahaj were raked over the coals for their mushq photoshoot but YumHaj and even Hamza and Seher are getting tons of praise for their equally as scandalous poses is …super amusing. I’ve never seen quite as much misogyny come from other women as I did for maya in that one photo shoot, but other actresses doing the exact same thing is ok because that’s a fan favorite pair. (Also, I think it’s stupid how our awaam cannot fathom a pairing outside of a recent hit; people complain about wahaj and his “overexposure” post TB, but they also don’t want him to be anything besides Murtasim. Like bro needs to act with others, too, but the audience out there behaves like someone committed blasphemy when an actor from a hit pairing acts with someone else.). To be clear, I don’t want any actress receiving hate for doing her job, it’s just sad how blatant the hate was and for such a stupid reason that Maya wasn’t yumna.
And also I’m just gonna say it—nobody in any recent photo shoot had the chemistry of maya and wahaj. You can just tell how comfortable they are with each other. They did hot, innocent, longing, surprise, admiration…literally everything. What range, yo. Even if for notorious reasons, people are still talking about the Mushq photo shoot while their faves’ photo sessions came and went without making any waves sorry not sorry.
Finally, I’ve been seeing people start to blame Maya for the downfall of wahaj post-TB, as if she forced him to sign MPHT, Mein, etc. Like it is so ridiculous out there, we are blaming a woman instead of holding a grown ass actor accountable for not choosing better roles.
Khaled Hosseini said it for men but the quote fits here as well cuz eh..it's a man involved.
“Like a compass needle that points north, a man's accusing finger always finds a woman. Always.”
just replace "man" with "fangirls of a man".
i have this shit behavior happen across the board again and again that I now consciously try to be numb to it. it's always the same. blame the woman. blame her for coming in between a ship. or blame her for being close to the man. or blame her for just existing. in all cases the man is the bechara masoom who doesn't know any better. it's the woman who has trapped him. it's the woman being insecure. it's the woman controlling his every action. never man, never him. and of course it's always the women who blame the woman.
you didn't mention Anmol Baloch here. Hamza Sehar fans are also hating on her because Hamza did the ghor paap of working with her and promoting his show with her. idk how true the rumors of their relationship are; they shouldn't MEAN anything. like any other pairing, Anmol and Hamza had all the right to do photoshoots in character to promote on their insta pages. that is not a right reserved just for their fav jodi. ANY fav jodi. these are actors. it's the world of social media. promotion on their public accounts is now a part of their JOB. they are all fucking PAID for it. and when money is involved, more times than less it becomes the main motivation. if these fans think their favs don't ask for money to promote their certain fav jodi because that's where their "true love and passion" lies then..i don't even know what to say.
and really I pity Wahaj as well. his own "fans" are close to blackmailing him to not expand his boundaries at all. him doing multiple photoshoots is "overexposure" but him doing them with Yumna is "using the small window of opportunity of being the most popular thing in the industry to its maximum benefit." arey??? it just comes down to what kind of fandom one has amassed over their career. like if on one hand Wahaj fans are criticizing his overexposure, MK fans are making flippant comments about inflation that has made MK do back to back three bridal campaigns. hypocrisy? i don't even wanna care.
frankly i am TIRED of searching Maya's name and seeing it just in connection with Wahaj. i love Mushq. MY BESTIE SERVED ME IN WAYS I CANNOT EXPLAIN! just last night i was rewatching the clips and oh my HEART it's beautiful beautiful beautiful BEAUTIFULLLLLL!! but i have to admit i HATE how Maya's entire existence has been shrunk to that photoshoot only. she's being used both by the yumhaj fans and the non-yumhaj fans as a weapon to use to attack others or defend their own favs. i doubt any one really cares about HER because then i'd actually see her be talked about individually or her projects. but no. it's always "they have been friends for years". like yes so WHAT? baar baar mention karna zaroori hai???
it's just no use trying to sense with these kind of people. i can only hope we get an official annoucement of Maya's next work again so she can leave this behind.

It's not even true that he does nothing. Frequently his last minute saves either distract the enemy, frees Usagi or the other Senshi or deflects attacks. You know, like in the literal first episode.
Or how about the iconic Senshi vs Spectre Sisters showdown.
TM went 1v1 with Rubeus and it was his barrage of Rose's that made Rubeus retreats.
TM simply threatening Jadeite made him retreat in an early episode when Jadeite had already neutralised Usagi's Tiara.
Saying TM shows up and does nothing is like saying all the characters making a final stand against Sauron were doing nothing because they weren't Sam and Frodo tossing the One Ring into Mount Doom. Or that Han Solo did nothing during the battle with the Death Star because he wasn't Luke shooting the torpedoes into the exhaust port to blow it up. Or that everyone who wasn't Goku did nothing to beat Kid Buu because they weren't throwing the Spirit Bomb.
It's this ridiculous zero sum game of your contributions only counting if you personally kill the villain. Except it's worse than that because there is a blatant double standard at play given how no one claims the female protagonists like the Inners or Outers or the Starlights 'show up and do nothing'.
For some messed up reason people desperately *want* the narrative to be that Anime Mamoru is useless and they are willing to ignore the evidence of their apparently lying eyes to feed that narrative.
I dont get it. Is it like, if he is in fact relevant it somehow undermines Usagi? Even though the narrative to a big extent is about a romantic couple so both of them working together would be thematically consistent?
Ok it's very funny to laugh at Tuxedo Mask for showing up and doing nothing, but his job was never to actually fight the monsters.
His job was just to show up and believe in Sailor Moon so overwhelmingly resolutely that she remembers she's a fucking demigod long enough for HER to fight the monsters.
Because she's the only one strong enough to do it in the first place, and in this regard Tuxedo Mask is the first example of being "Kenough" in this essay I will

don't hunt down anyone, please
i know you won't be able to see this, so with that knowledge, i feel more comfortable with expressing my thoughts in this space. i'm finally lowering this to the ground and leaving this to rest.
your entire argument as to why we're the supposed villains in your story arc is bogus, i'll get that out of the way. my intent was never to guilt-trip you– my intent was to get my point across that your reckless behavior affected me and others negatively, but i suppose that my willingness to criticize you and your problematic actions is just a manipulation tactic, isn't it? do you truly believe i would intentionally use my pain as a weapon against you, after the years i've spent being as genuine and honest as i could be with you?
you claim that me wanting your "full attention" after i left a group chat due to a compromising situation is "double standards", but i believe you just wanted something to say that sounds right to your narrative. you just want an excuse to finally drop me and the rest of us in our little community, so you pulled something straight out of your pie hole and called it a day. out of everything you could have used, you weaponized my vulnerability and twisted it into me being some sort of hypocrite. the thing is, "buddy", context matters. i wanted communication with you because you were one of the people i wanted to hear from after what had transpired in that group chat. as i told you before, i thought you dropped me after that. because of your blatant selfishness, i assumed you would hate me for– you know– stepping away from a place that was already inducing an ungodly amount of stress. you left because i left for my reasons (in which you instigated), not because you were "panicking". not only was you claiming i had double standards ridiculous– it was a low blow for your character, and it tells me enough of how you perceive me.
lastly, your point of talking about others without them knowing would have been valid had you not willingly partook in such discussions. the people we openly spoke about were people we had problems with. plus, i WOULD be more open if i had better experiences with BEING open. not a lot of people can handle jabs at their character, believe it or not, and that includes you especially. i turn to others because i feel more comfortable with them than the person i have concerns with. people like you are why confrontations are difficult, and what you said to me before i cut you off completely further cements that. by the way, i have spoken my criticisms to the people you listed. you lied to one of them, and you blocked another one of them without even speaking to them directly as far as i know. get off your high horse and grow up.
to finish this off, i'm glad you're gone now. i will not let you back into my life, whether you actually acknowledge how much you've hurt us– especially me– or not. i'm not apologizing for anything; you don't deserve a "sorry" from me after all of this. after all, why accuse me of making you "walk on eggshells" when it was you that did the same to me? it is you that has double standards, yet you refuse to take accountability and instead blame me and my friends for you "not being yourself" when we just wanted you to be more considerate of us. it was you who would constantly put me on a pedestal, focus almost always on me in a conversation, try to silence me on multiple occasions in the past, and a plethora of other things.
you never saw us as your "brothers and sisters". you only saw us as an audience that you could garner sympathy from, and once we saw through your act, you lashed out and left. if you had the audacity to accuse us of being backstabbers with such ease, you were never our friend to begin with.
don't ever consider coming back. i will never forgive you.

honestly the blatant double standards going on in the kp fandom are ridiculous. i have zero problems with mile and i don’t think cancelling him for, again, idiotic comments left on sm years ago is the way to go, but jesus christ. i’m seeing the same people calling for build’s head with longass threads (both here and on the bird app) being all like “the past is the past” or just ignoring the whole thing and i’m like, excuse me? you’ve been bringing b’s comments up (or going for ta who, by the way, is a kid) every chance you get (even going to the lengths of stating that in the case he was the actual victim he deserved that for those past comments) and now that your fave is involved, suddenly, the past is the past? i’m happy mile is not getting his life fucked over (or benched as a matter of fact, cause, you know, the whole “reflecting” thing boc has) for some dumb bullshit he may have said when he was younger, but considering i get hate anons every single time i post anything build related, i just want to tell you that you’re a bunch of hypocrites. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

Inequality in Women's Sports
Introduction
Sports has been a historic form of entertainment for decades. The variety of activities are dominated by men and are often encouraged on young boys. The same cannot be said for young girls as they are seen as generally weaker and less inclined to participate. Girls who display the tomboyish behaviors of athleticism and competitiveness are looked down on. Sometimes there are the unfortunate circumstances where parents believe that they have failed their daughters when they show their competitiveness in sports. As for the women who have decided to make a career out of the sport of their choice, they do not receive the amount of payment that their male counterpart would make. Is it due to double standards, or does the issue run deep within the organization of women's athletics?
Gender Pay Gap
A common complaint from western feminists is the gender pay gap. Many point to the pay gap between the United States Men's National Soccer Team compared to the women's team. The women's National Soccer Team has seen greater success than the men's National Soccer Team on the world scale winning 4 FIFA Women's World Cups. Despite the success, they were not paid as much as the men's team. While many can point the blame on the United States favoring the men's team, the blame should also be on FIFA (International Association Football Federation) for not doing much to create excitement for women's soccer.
Hype for Women's Sports
One of the most exciting things about sports is the joy you feel after a victory or an outstanding performance. Whether it is basketball players celebrating a slam dunk or baseball players celebrating a home run via a bat flip, celebrations help to create hype for the game. There are double standards in women's sports. After players celebrate, they are often ridiculed and accused of wanting to act like men. The most recent example of this is LSU basketball player Angel Reese celebrating her big victory against Iowa. Many in the sports media called Reese out on her celebration calling her unsportsmanlike and rude. To me, this is a blatant example of the double standards in sports. Why is there so much criticism whenever women get excited for their victories?
Even in sports, women still must have the girly stereotypes. Women must act in an elegant way, and if they do not then they are just like men. Yet people complain that women's sports particularly basketball and soccer are boring. The main way to make it not boring is by eliminating what is considered societal norms and let the women celebrate a victory or exciting play.
More Opportunity
Stacie de Armas wrote an article titled, On Different Playing Fields: The Case for Gender Equity in Sports. One of the main issues she brings up is the lack of attention to women's sports on television. She mentions how Title XI grants women equal opportunities to play sports, but it also mandates equal treatment in terms of publicity, which Title XI has failed to uphold. In recent years, there has been a change in how women's sports have been broadcasted. The NCAA Women's basketball tournament set records for the most watched women's basketball series. Despite the controversies of celebrations, it gave a glimpse into the excitement of women's basketball. If we can apply the same type of coverage for other women's sports, the questions of inequality in women's sports can potentially die out.
Conclusion
There are many directions to go around the topic of inequality in Women's Sports. The only way for this to change is if we change our perceptions of societal norms. If given the same opportunities and coverage, women's sports can be just as entertaining as men's sports.

Yeah there's a ridiculous amount of hypocrisy in online spaces with high populations of creatives
'Cause in some ways the attitude toward intellectual property is quite liberated. Fanworks, for instance, are often seen as legitimate forms of art even if the creator has explicitly objected to their existence (remember Anne Rice?) Even outright piracy, the ultimate repudiation of intellectual property, is broadly embraced on this website!
And yet when those same standards are applied to their own works, that progressive framework goes right out the window, and people start sounding like NFT cranks infuriated about their JPEGs being right-clicked. The idea of "art theft," laughed out of the room in the context of piracy, is suddenly taken deathly serious when, say, two people post somewhat similar drawings. Or, god forbid, someone shares digital artwork without linking back to the creator. And if the term "AI" is linked to the conversation (as I believe was the case in the quoted post?) Hoo boy.
And I do think this has gotten worse over time. I mean, remember when "original character do not steal" was a subject of mockery, rather than a commonly expressed sentiment?
The double standard of intellectual property rights for "official" works versus "unofficial" ones is manifestly blatant, and yet I almost never see it get called out. It's uncanny.
Tumblr media
Remember when this site brought out the torches and pitchforks over authors who objected to their works being published for free on the internet archive?
This site is like one year away from taking the position that writing fanfic is wrong unless you have the author's permission istg
