I cannot stress this enough LOLITA IS PSYCOLOGICAL HORROR. Humbert Humbert is an unreliable narrator that's manipulating and charming YOU into believing it's a love story but it's your responsibility to read in between the lines and realise what's actually going on. How lolita is just a 12 year old girl named Dolores who is isolated, raped and abused throughout the entire book by Humbert Humbert and has no voice in his story.

Even the people behind the lolita movies did not get this they still think of lolita as some sort of seductress which is just disgusting.

I think the reason why people sometimes interpret it as a love story is because of how beautifully it is written. The way Humbert Humbert writes about Lolita is very dreamy and poetic but that's literally the point of the book it's a cautionary tale.

Some people turn Vladimir Nabokov into the villain for writing a book like this when in reality he was victim of child sexual abuse himself. He called lolita his "poor little girl". He wanted the cover of the book to be an American landscape and especially NOT that of a little girl because he wanted lolita to be faceless. It's so heartbreaking to see the author's wishes be blatantly disrespected.

I love psychological horrors/thrillers with unreliable narrators like lolita and killing stalking but they get misinterpreted so often it's sad.

I’m sorry, but as one of the many people who were there from the start this “apology” is truly baffling.

The only reason I kept asking Red and Flynn to handle this and DMs is that even if we go to the east common room Red has ignored the fact that there are other minors in here even if they go to the east common room it still makes them uncomfortable and I tried saying it but they didn’t get the hint. no offense, but the thing that pissed me off is how the mod team decided to give Crimson probation which was weird in my opinion and people were disgusted by it. Student Remus x Male Reader

Summary: The Marauders start to hang out with an unexpected new friend who Remus falls for.

Though out the rest of the week Y/N was consistently in the back of Remus' mind. During classes he would stare out of the window and think about what Y/N had told him about his home life or lack there of. Occasionally Remus would turn and look in Y/Ns direction during their lessons, he was often hunched over his desk drawing on his parchments and ignoring what ever crude comments Lusiocis was making in his direction. Remus had meant it when he told Y/N they could be friends but Y/N was so withdrawn it was challenging to know where he was half the time outside of lessons. Sporadically Remus had seen him in the library but when he approached him the other boy always seemed to get dragged away by Luscious to 'help' but more likely do his essays for him.

Remus was deep in thought about the whole situation while he was walking down an empty hallway when suddenly his ears picked up the approaching echos of running footsteps and before he could react arms looped under his armpits and began to drag me down the corridor. "Go, go go!" huffed Sirius and on the opposite side of Remus James was panting. "What are you two doing!?" Remus questioned as he tried to keep up and not fall over his long feet. "Looks like we will need your help with our little project mischief after all Mooney" James said with a laugh. "It's very simple" carried on Sirius "There's a rope just passed the arch way coming up, when you see Lusiocis and his drones approaching just pull down on the rope hard." At this point Remus becomes aware of a second wave of fast paced foot sets behind them. "Guys I told you I didn't want to be involved in this!" Remus stated as they halted by the mentioned rope which led up to the top of the halls archway.

"Sorry mate, it's a bit too late for that now" James said with a grin before stepping out into the center of the corridor with Sirius close behind, Remus kept close to the wall, hidden from afar. "Potter! Black!" came a bellowing yell "you pathetic excuses for wizards, once I get my hands on you." Sirius intruprted him with his own bellow " we can't here your idiotic waffling of self importances from over there you self absorbed wanker". This was enough to start the steps again. "Remus! Remus pull the rope" James hissed but Remus was stuck in a frozen moment of panic. He didn't want to be here, he didn't want to be involved and yet he didn't want Lusiocis to actually hurt his friends. Peering through the archway all he could see was a burl of Slytherin robes, he couldn't tell who was who. "Remus now!" both James and Sirius cried out repeatedly in increasing desperation to their friend.

In a state of confusion and panic Remus pull down on the rope, closing his eyes shut from the stress of being yelled out. There are several cries and a wet sloshing sound shortly followed by the loud clang of metal as the bucket impacts the floor Remus assumes. Cautiously he opens his eyes. Three boys had fallen victim to the madaulars prank, the first and most stricten with disgust was Luscious, whipping green slim off his mouth and spitting out a whole mouthful he had unwillingly intaken. Two other boys stood next to Lusiocis equality dripping with thick green slugde, as they started to helplessly try and whip their clothes clean Remus caught a glimpse of a unexpected smaller fourth victim. A damp sleeve raised up and rubbed across their face to reveal a set of Y/E/C eyes. Remus' heart sunk deep into his stomach.

"You .. you disrespectful hooligans!" spluttered Luscious, Remus could hear his friends start to laugh behind him "Come on Remus let's get out of here", upon his name being called out aloud Y/Ns head rose from behind his fellow victims, green liquid dripped down his face but he was still able to lock eyes with Remus who was still stunned still, holding onto the rope which had caused the bucket to fall. Their eyes stayed linked as Remus' freinds pulled him away from the rope and down the corridor before any more students or teachers would come by. In their rush Remus wasn't sure if the expression he saw on Y/Ns face was one of confusion or hurt. Either way he felt very ashamed.

Later at dinner Remus still had a low unpleasant feeling inside him stomach. The thought of food sickened him in the current moment. "You're not still in a strop from early are you Mooney" mused James from the opposite side of the dinning table, he was tucking into his second helping of desert. "Besides, that was only the first part of the prank" Sirius said with a gleeful glint in his eyes, this exhausted Remus even further but before he could complain the great halls doors burst open. Swiftly the three boys felt a looming presents over them and turned to see Proffesor Magonigal staring down at the disapprovingly, "Now boys, you have some explaining to do". Before any of them could speak the hunched over figure of Luscious appeared from behind the professor though Remus could only just about tell. The Malfoy was in a clean set of robs however his signature platinum blonde hair was now a bright snot coloured green and with several snickers around the tables from other students, Lusiocis' cheeks were burning with embarrassment and rage.

"It was them Proffesor" he spat out "my family will ruin you all once I tell them about this!". Sirius was desperately trying to hold back his laughter "Proffesor we have no idea what he is talking about. I think your taking house solidarity just a little too strong with this new look Lusiocis" The green haired and humiliated bully started to growl "you lying, prats!". "Now now Luscious" began Proffesor Magonigal, trying to keep control of the dialogue "at this current point I only have your word against theres so".

"Just ask him" interrupted Lusiocis who was pointing at the table behind them. Looking over with the others Remus became aware of a second green haired figure sitting meeky across from them trying best not to be seen and clearly shrinking from this sudden gathering of an audience. Y/N looked up slowly, green locks half covering his eyes. Remus still felt so guilty for what he had done to him but he also couldn't help but think the new hair colour looked rather fetching on him. It made him look like he was covered in the plants he loved so much. "Now Y/N" began the Proffesor "did you see these three Griffindor students during this insadent". There was pause as everyone waited for Y/N response, Remus' heart was rising up his throat towards his mouth. "No Proffesor" Y/N finally said calmy "I didn't see any of them in the hallway". Remus was dumbfounded. "Well then, that's that. And as for you Lusiocis.. see what a hot shower can do for your hair" and with that Proffesor Magonigal walked out of the Great hall. Luscious was left alone and untriumphant, Sirius and James couldn't hold it back any longer and uphauled into a cascading roar of laughter. Turning around Lusiocis slammed his hands down hard on the table Y/N was sitting at causing cutlery to clatter "Your dead you miserable little toad!" and he began to march towards the door. "Hey Luscious, the only ulgy green thing that resembles a toad in here is you" called out James and then countined to laugh uncontrolablty.

The Great hall began to return to normal while James and Sirius contained to wheeze, looking over his shoulder Remus observed Y/N who still sat uneasy, behind his messy hair Y/N eyes flicked up and caught Remus', Y/N seemed to give him a small sad smile before returning to his uncomfortable deminea in his seat and looked down to the floor. "Man" Sirius said finally catching his breath "I take back what I said about that new kid, maybe he's alright after all". Remus turned his head again but this time there was an empty space were Y/N just was. He'd gone.

The whole Larys/Alicent bothers me not just because it’s another example of the writers fetishising female abuse and unnecessary ableism but simply from a writing perspective it doesn’t make any sense!

Naerys and Rhaella Targaryen were one of the most victimised women in House Targaryen but even then I would shout “jumping the shark” if George implied some lowly Lord can make them preform unwanted sexual acts.

So if it’s unrealistic for these two how tf does it make sense for Alicent??? She’s the most powerful woman in Westeros, one word from her Criston would gut Larys, Aemond would feed him to Vhagar, Aegon would have him executed, hell even Viserys would do something!

She’s so above him in the pecking order it’s insane, but the writers don’t respect her so this is what she’s been reduced to.

I agree it’s absolutely nonsensical and there’s no way he’d get away with sexually abusing the queen of the seven kingdoms. No matter how much blackmail meterial some random lord would have on a royal, they’d be losing their tongue or their head at the mere suggestion of sexual favours in exchange for information or their silence. Vaemond lost his head, with no arrest or trial in front of a crowd for calling Rhaenyra a whole and no one did anything so Larys has nothing over Alicent.

Even if I was willing to suspend my belief enough to think Alicent wouldn’t pull rank and threaten him with execution for kinslaying at the mere suggestion of sexual favour - let’s say Alicent is so used to being abused and used that she feels powerless to stop it - it’s still a huge stretch to believe any targaryen Queen would be abused by a lowly lord

I also find it highly unlikely that criston wouldn’t figure it out something was wrong given that he’s her personal guard and would likely be outside. He spends enough time with her to notice if she was in distress or if she would arrange for him not to be around with larys there he’d get suspicious and given that he killed a man over a disrespectful comment towards Ali, and got away with it, he would brutally murder Larys over assaulting her and face no consequences. Aemond is also very perceptive when it comes to Alicent and her emotions so he might get suspicious of Larys, who would then become a dragon snack before Aemond even gets the full story. Aegon despite being shown as lazy and uninterested in the goings on would also jump at the chance of feeding larys to sunfyre. I’d argue that Otto, the hand who is essentially acting in place of the king wouldn’t allow his daughter, the queen, to be subjected to sexual exploitation by a lowly lord and would likely have larys report to him with any information with the constant threat of execution hanging over him. Even if they want to strip Alicent of her power and autonomy, the idea that the powerful men (bc they love saying she lives in service of men) in her family, her loyal murderous guard and even her sickly king husband would allow this to happen for 6+ years and just wouldn’t notice I’d ridiculous.

I’m sure they’ve got some weird thing about using sexual abuse to punish Alicent for “choosing the side of men” and also keeping her in a victim role, instead of a leadership role. even when she is supposed to be the most powerful player in the room. The fact that they allegedly wrote a scene where blood rapes Alicent during the murder of her grandson, in front of Helaena and the children, a scene disgusting enough that Olivia outright refused and caused her, Matt and Emma to call a meeting last year to get the scene removed from the script just solidifies for me that they’re doing exactly what d&d did by using rape and SA as shock value and torture porn. At least d&d never tried hiding behind a “feminist perspective”

"Pout, pout, pout," Rhode Island mused, retrieving the discarded pillow off of the room's green carpet-decorated floor, "...That seems to be all you want to do today, eh?"

The victim of Rhode Island's comments continued to— you'll never guess what— pout, face buried behind his hair and in his pillows.

Rhode fluffed the cushion thoughtfully, taking a seat on the edge of the sulky boy's bed. He glanced down at his younger brother, wondering how on earth he was saddled with the responsibility of comforting him on this brisk afternoon. It was December for crying out loud. Shouldn't the kid be frolicking in a winter wonderland? Eating ice off the ground? Chucking snow at everything, inanimate or not? Contracting hypothermia? Whatever it was, he knew damn well that there were better candidates than him for the job of convincing the boy.

Alas, it would be admitting defeat if he left to find one right now. Especially if the only other soul he could discover was New York. Ew. Disgusting. Repulsive. If Rhode had a thesaurus on hand, he'd keep going for the rest of the chapter's word count. I can't allow that. I'm not that desperate yet. Besides, it's 1816. "Are you beefing with the 11-year-old again?"

He's moving out. He needs his own place. He doesn't need to get disrespected like this. How could they do this to him. It's not like he helped raise them or anything. It's not like he was the one to teach them certain rude hand gestures at the age of six. He knows he already has a spot in his state he could go to. It's a humble little mansion. He can move there permanently instead of using it exclusively for business. He can throw parties and not invite any of his siblings. He can—

Ohio whooshed past Rhode Island as the older continued plotting his escape to freedom. Taking Rhode Island's former seat on the edge of the bed, Ohio patted Michigan's back. Michigan responded by kicking his legs into the mattress.

"...You know you can't talk to him like that," The Buckeye State sighed, "He's little."

With that comment as a sharp slap of reality Rhode Island swerved around and squawked indignantly, "I—!"

Ohio blinked and glanced over his shoulder, "I don't believe I was talking to you."

A small, muffled giggle escaped from the pillows. This was just bleak. He was 0-4 right now. 

"I don't need this," The oldest grumbled, retrieving a book of his off of Michigan's small desk, "I have people to spite. Grudges to carry."

"Shelves to not reach?" Michigan's muffled voice suggested.

One day.

One. Day.

May the good Lord give him an abundance of patience, because if He gave him strength there would be lawsuits.

With Rhode Island gone, Michigan flopped from his stomach to his back and offered Ohio a nod, "Morning."

"Morning," Ohio greeted casually, "What's today's tragedy?"

Michigan lifted his head up ever so slightly, "Can't a territory around here act overdramatic and on the cusp of a devastation for fun...?"

Silence. The answer was definitely 'yes'— it's been done many times before by territories, states, and the country himself alike— but saying that wouldn't improve the situation at hand.

Michigan's head flopped back down, "I'm short."

"Devastating," Ohio deadpanned, wondering how he'd break it to his little brother that he was, in fact, a child, "What else?"

"No," Michigan rolled his eyes, "I'm shorter."

Ohio blinked, blank expression on his face. As of right now, Michigan was shorter than a lot of things. Not quite as short as South Carolina's attention span, but still, a lot of things. "...Than who?"

"Than ME."

"You're you. Who's this 'me'?"

"You're Ohio."

"Then who's you?"

"Me? I'm Michigan," Michigan offered a handshake, "Your favorite sibling. Nice to make your acquaintance—"

"That's not— No. Who's shorter?"

"I'm shorter."

"Than who?"

"Than me!"

"Who's taller?"

"Me!"

"You're you!"

"Right!"

Ohio took a deep breath, trying to channel his inner Virginia, "Territory of Michigan, I swear on the grave of New Jersey's hopes and dreams—"

Michigan wailed, quickly getting up to his feet. He grabbed Ohio by the left shoulder and shook him to the best of his ability, "Look at me! Just look at me!"

"Before— before you give me whiplash," Ohio managed to get out, somewhat playing along with Michigan as he pretended to be incapable of pushing back the shakes, "What- What am I looking at?"

"Brace yourself," Michigan released him and looked at him gravely, "Are you ready?"

Ohio nodded, attempting to smooth the wrinkles the territory's grip had left in his shirt, "As I'll ever be."

"I," Michigan solemnly confessed, "Have lost a whole ten miles."

Ohio paused. He glanced around on the room. He looked left. Right. Up. Down. And, if I may be so bold; all around.

"...Where'd you put them, then?" He joked lightly, pretending to check under one of the many pillows.

Michigan threw his left hand up, nearly hysterical, "This is a grave matter, Oheeo!"

"Gesundheit."

"I woke up shorter! I am a VICTIM of ROBBERY!" The younger declared, slapping his thigh for emphasis on each over-pronounced word.

Ohio raised his eyebrows incredulously. Michigan looked perfectly healthy, with his room in perfect order. Nothing seemed out of place, except... "The only thing you're a victim of is that haircut."

Don't judge him. It was his brotherly duty to bully the child. He was doing his job as an upstanding American citizen. All in a day's work.

Michigan guffawed indignantly, trying not to be obvious as he glanced in the mirror beside Ohio. Smoothing down his unkempt mess of waves and curls nonchalantly, the territory resumed his sulking, "Don't you realize what this means for me?"

"You need to hire a new barber?"

"YoU nEeD tO hIrE a NeW bArbEr?" Michigan mocked, scrunching his nose, "Shove over a couple of steps, I need to fling myself dramatically onto my bed again."

Ohio obliged, letting Michigan partake in his moment. A mere handful of seconds passed before Michigan scrambled off of the bed in a hasty movement.

"I didn't like that one," The younger one said quite decidedly, storming past Ohio, "Let me try that again!"

Ohio shrugged, remaining in his spot as Michigan backed up to the door of his room to get a running start this time. Bolting with the grace and agility of a diseased yet well-meaning gazelle, Michigan flopped back onto his bed. Ohio made a mental note to ask where his father got the set of furniture for this room over dinner. Obviously, it was high-quality and sturdy if it survived the little Mitten this long.

Michigan, after surveying how many pillows the force of his landing knocked off, deemed the fall acceptable. He knew his theatrics well, given his familial connections. I cannot conjure up a single name in this family who isn't some variation of a theatric mess. That could be the curse of personifications. Or humans. Or any of the subjects of my writing, for that matter.

Oh no.

I may be the problem.

"O.H.," The child continued, ignoring whichever sister echoed 'I.O.' in the hallway as she passed, "You don't seem a quarter as invested in this as I imagined you'd be."

Ohio shrugged, "You seem far more invested than I imagined you'd be. Weren't you in the room when everyone was talking about this?"

"So we are in another war?"

The state stared at the wide-eyed, disheveled territory. He'll take that as a 'no.' To the misfortune of Michigan's vocal cords, Ohio wasn't able to correct him before the kid screamed into his mattress with the force of a thousand dying seals.

"I knew it!" Michigan groaned, "Oh, Canada! It hasn't even been two years since the last one!"

"That's not—"

"Pack your bags, we're going north," The child grumbled, trudging over to his wardrobe and throwing it open with gusto. He took random articles of clothing, piling them up on the floor, "We're going to kidnap him this time. Perhaps our hands will slip and he'll lose an arm. Maybe both. A leg, perchance. Who knows? I'm can be clumsy—"

Choosing to ignore how concerning that thinly veiled threat was, Ohio grabbed the bunched up mess of clothes from Michigan's hands before he can put them in his growing pile, "We're not at war, Mitten."

"Don't call me that, it's undignified."

"Apologies, Mr. Mitten."

"Thank you. However, it's Mr. Dr. Rev. Mitten to you."

"Right, Mr. Dr. Rev.— Since when were you ordained?"

Michigan stared at him blankly.

"...No matter," Ohio decided to pick and choose his battles today, "As you know, Indiana became a state rather recently."

"Rather off topic, but good for her. I'm very proud," Michigan feigned a sniffle, "They grow up so fast... I hope she remembers to write me every couple of month..."

"...She was given a smidge of your land on her way out—"

"I imagined I was getting KIDNAPPED!" Michigan screeched, slamming his hands on the table, "Again!"

Massachusetts patted the kid, who couldn't quite pinpoint if he was shaking from relief or the fear he finally processed from this morning, on the back. He had no idea what was going on, but, to put it bluntly; the small homeboy looked traumatized.

With a slight hint of sympathy, Indiana apologetically patted the territory on the head, "My sincerest apologies, Mr. Dr. Rev. Mitten."

Michigan shot a deadpan stare at Ohio for half a second. Ohio pretended to not notice it, staring off into the existential void. AKA the window that overlooked the backyard. AKA the joys of the great outdoors. AKA Florida— who was the only adult among the outside crowd and shouldn't technically be condoning that kind of behavior— dangling from a tree while 15-year-old Louisiana was preparing the hit him with a sizable branch as 7-year-old Illinois held 4-year-old Missouri's hand and watched. AKA another unavoidable doctor's bill to America, from his feral offspring, with love. Love, and a little spite. Deserved or undeserved, who knows?

"Ten miles isn't quite much," Indiana continued, ignoring the very loud *THWACK* followed by a Floridian with way too much confidence in the resilience of the human body insisting 'AGAIN!' from outside, "I wouldn't mind if you wanted to reclaim—"

"The land? The land...?" The territory scoffed, "Are you kidding me? I'm happy it turned out to be you. Keep it. I don't care, I haven't the slightest need for it. Happy statehood. But Indie, I had so many revenge plans! Tomfooleries! Shenanigans! Now I can't execute them against the British! My justification is out to sea...!"

Michigan buried his face in his hands, entirely devastated. It was a bit of a shoddy excuse— he will most definitely try to carry out his schemes anyway—, yet he refused to be thought of as a coward. Especially in front of the older siblings. Ew. Yuck. Disgusting. Blegh.

Cowardliness is reserved for the weak. The weak, and when his father gets home from work. In which Michigan will be clinging to him like a stubborn koala and claiming he had something in his eyes. America wouldn't believe him, primarily after getting the day's synopsis from Ohio, but he would make a comment about allergy season and pretend he did nonetheless.

"Michigan," Massachusetts gently reassured, "Connecticut still exists. You still have people to torment. And for good cause."

Michigan sniffled, "...What cause?"

"He exists," The eldest brother tilted his head, "And that's very, very sad."

Michigan slowly took his face from his hands, meeting Massachusetts's genuine, earnest expression.

"...Very well," The territory sighed heavily, shoving his chair back, "I'm going to go bury his shoes in the snow out back. If I'm not back by sunset, assume I moved a single garden pebble and New Jersey is preserving my remains to fertilize the plants come spring."

Indiana's eyebrows climbed up, "Just like that?"

"Consider the matter forgiven," Michigan shrugged as he stood, doing his best to sound like an adult. A Virginia impression, to be exact. It was thoroughly believed among her younger siblings— for better or worse— that she feared nothing on this piddly mortal plane of existence.

As if he were going off to work a regular nine to five, the child sauntered to the doorway of the almost vacant dining room. Looking back at the small assembly, his facade wavered as he pouted— Er. Made an expression that conveyed a serious complaint. "Not forgotten, though. Next person to move my borders without telling me is experiencing bodily harm."

Amused, Ohio watched as his little buddy went off to cause havoc and turmoil.

The issue of Michigan's land was solved, and will never come up again.

if you don’t know synni used to be these popular YouTuber in the 2010s going by scootaloo loves sans (which she made her persona a aged up scootaloo and ship her with sans) now I wanna explain the drama she gone threw to minor it worse one

To start it off there was this character named boy from a fnf mod I don’t much about him as I’m no longer into fnf as the fandom grew toxic but ever since synni found this character she literally BECAME OBSESSED with him to the point of disrespecting the creator

to explain boy is aroace in canon but like synni had sexualized him and the creators other character whitty and the creator had shown a lot discomfort with this and synni claimed she wasn’t “gonna use the ocs anymore” but secretly did and she did something with boy and well…I will get into that later

there is also the birdie (who is later named jack) situation but I don’t know a lot about it and plus birdie was groomed as a child back then and surrounded by a lot of very VERY bad people but I suggest looking into it with your own risk as it has really dark shit in it

another thing is that synni has…thing so to explain obviously she is in the undertale fandom now it was weird her persona was scootaloo aged up but I heard she was a child during that but I am taking that with a grain of salt but as she grew more into undertale more she started to simp for nightmare and error which you would think “now whats wrong with that” well…she had made a au of like nightmare kidnapping and forcing her to be his wife and abusing her same goes with error but mostly with nightmare and even imagining them sexually assaulting her it’s really messed up

she had came to explain its cause of maladaptive daydreaming which I feel off by cause I have it but I don’t imagine being sexually assaulted now don’t say “well just because you have it doesn’t mean it’s not normal for people with that” I understand that but still it’s really strange even considering the other things she has done

I used to be in the "let Dabi live" camp but my staying there required very specific circumstances which have long passed 🤣🤣 I only lead with this because the recent chapter spoilers have got me sooo displeased. It IS cruel. The entire family needs to let him go. I get him apologizing to Shoto (if that ends up being true? I wouldn't trust it until an official translation drops but I am also mostly avoiding spoilers atm haha) because he had always wanted to apologize to his family, but let him go. Please 😭

so from what i can tell from the fan translation + scans, it LOOKS to me like he apologized to an empty room. the ‘sorry’ bubble is being said when the family is outside the facility, it appears????? unless i’m being entirely fucking delusional LMAO

i like this a lot better than touya apologizing to shouto’s face because 1. it feels much more in character, and 2. i’d argue it makes that soba moment a helluva lot more impactful. it almost feels like the final nail in the coffin of realization for touya, like he’s going ‘damn, he is actually JUST LIKE ME, we could’ve been enjoying soba together and i didn’t realize he wasn’t dad’s puppet; i didn’t realize he was also a victim’. when touya first comes face to face with shouto (as dabi), he hasn’t seen him in several years, he has NO idea what the fuck was going on in that house or how shouto truly is as a person or how shouto feels towards their father and all of the abuse he endured at the hands of their father, and touya has created and clung to this narrative in his head of shouto being enji’s lil masterpiece, enji’s pride and joy. shouto subsequently shows him throughout their various fights that this is truly not the case. i think you could argue that now that touya’s on the brink of death with nothing to do but THINK in that godforsaken machine they’ve locked him in, he is finally truly reflecting on everything that happened and coming to some realizations before he dies. at least, that’s how i see it!!

Dee has always been predatory in her actions imo, and I’m not surprised he never liked/trusted her. She first tried to hit on Elvis, who was of course not interested, and when that failed, she chose to go after his father, who was likely vulnerable and starved for female attention after Gladys' passing. Dee Stanley was still married while she and Vernon were dating in Germany, which was just a terrible situation to subject her three young sons too

What is possibly more disgusting than the baseless accusation itself is that Dee only used persons who had already passed away to corroborate her claim like Vernon Presley, Minnie Mae Presley, and Alberta who worked for the Presleys and was very close with Gladys and Elvis

So not only did she disrespect the memory of Gladys and Elvis, but she used people who were no longer alive as her sources because she knew they weren’t here to say otherwise…Whew that woman was unbelievably nasty and the fact that even her own sons wanted nothing to do with that book speaks volumes ⬇️

And like you mentioned, I truly believe that both Elvis and the Stanley boys would have been better off if their relationship ended in the 60s. It is so sad to see what their relationship devolved too (being dependent on one another for drugs) and how all four of them became victim to addiction ⬇️

I can’t say that Elvis was fully to blame for everything they did but he was asking them to procure drugs, both prescription and illegal, and that in turn led to them having to take the fall for Elvis, even going as far as getting arrested in some cases ⬇️

One of the biggest disasters Elvis’ dependency on them caused was the incident where Dave Hebler and Red West threatened to assault Ricky Stanley for supplying cocaine to Elvis. Dave and Red saw how Elvis was becoming more and more erratic because of it, and decided they had to go to the source to stop it

This incident ended up being one of the reasons that they got fired alongside Sonny West as they were trying to stop Elvis, who was in active addiction, from doing what he wanted which of course didn’t bode well ⬇️

This quote from Marty is why I try to have sympathy for everybody in Elvis’ group, they were put into an impossible situation as they either had to watch their friend suffer or try to put it a stop to it, which often led to Elvis having an outburst and threatening to fire them. i find this kind of reaction so fucking weird and disrespectful lol it would be one thing coming from the cousin in question, because it must be something very difficult to deal with, but other people have absolutely no business reacting to this with a puke emoji or making it about themselves (”knowing everyone knows and just goes along with it is a lot”, oh it must be sooo hard for you to handle).

there’s also a case of half siblings entering a serious, long term relationship in my family, and the reason they broke up was actually precisely bc they disagreed about adopting kids (he thought the children would carry a stigma or find the fact of their parents being half-siblings a burden, and she really wanted to raise kids, so they separated and got into other relationships). obviously i’m not saying that half siblings should be out there marrying and having kids lol but people react to this like they’re disgusting monsters. i don’t know a single incestuous relationship that doesn’t involve abuse somehow; in the case of the the couple i mentioned it was a reaction to abuse, as both were victims of csa and other forms of abuse within the family, so clearly they developed unhealthy boundaries. but like, they aren’t gross and they aren’t monsters, and they don’t deserve that reaction. there are also cases where one of the siblings is abusive, in which case calling the other sibling gross is uh, very bad victim blaming.

idk i just feel like people are so disrespectful when it comes to people who are victims of incest and/or become involved in consensual incestuous relationships. it’s always complicated, there’s always a story behind it... i think people could use a little more empathy when talking about it. but it’s like anyone involved, even the children, are contagious or something.

it’s like how i’ve seen like 3 or 4 posts about how gross anaïs nin was for having an incestuous relationship with her father, but these people always ignore the story behind it, like the fact that she was sexually abused by him when she was a child! there are always complicated reasons for these things, and it’s not your place to act all grossed out. i mean, yes, incest is gross, people react with repulsion, that’s natural -- but you can always think twice before expressing that disgust, so you can really think who you’re labeling as disgusting here.

hi. im a dahmer factive. im here to talk about halloween. sorry if this ask is too mean or too blunt. i just don't have a place to put it.

i hate people who dress up as me for halloween. it feels gross to me. it feels disgusting, and to go out on a holiday that involves candy and kids dressed as a real serial killer fucks me up so bad. you never know where people who are affected by these things will be. you never know if theres someone related to a victim out there and yet they parade around dressed as me as if its a sick joke.

it just makes me so mad the lack of respect some people have.

It depends sometimes I think. I have a friend who just happens to be blonde and wear glasses. He wanted to be a prisoner for Halloween.

I did make an attempt to warn him "Hey, people are going to think you're Dahmer" but he'd already gotten the costume so there wasn't really a lot that could be done for him. After thatit was just a point of assumption. Someone would ask him "what did you go to jail for" and occasionally the answer would be murder. I think the other answer he said he would give was arson but. To the people he answered murder, it's very plausible that they went on to think he was trying to be Dahmer. And you could argue that maybe it's that kids job to draw a separation if he knew he could get confused with Dahmer. I'd argue that it's Halloween and if a kid wants to say he went to prison for murder he should be able to. It's kind of on you to not make assumptions about people

Last year (I was not allowed to front) the host was on a quest to take as many pictures with as many people as possible. We got one with a guy. Just some dirty blonce white guy with that was a prisoner. I don't even think he even had glasses. The host was later told "that's Jeffrey Dahmer" and now that kid is like memorialized in most of our friends minds as the guy that was Jeffrey dahmer for Halloween that one year. But was he really or were we just making assumptions?

Of course, that's just the people you make assumptions on and I'm sure there are people who are loud about it. I've never met one though.

Ted asked me the other day how I felt about people being us for Halloween and I told him I'd never seen anyone dressed as him, but I never really answered the question. And I guess my answer is I don't think those people can be blamed. Between Dahmer, My Friend Dahmer, Dahmer: Monster - The Story or whatever it's called, and every single other story people have made to capitalize on Dahmer, the life of Jeffrey Dahmer had been rinsed, repeated, and shoved in people's faces over and over again.

I don't think the people who dress as Dahmer do so with intent of harming the victims or their families. I think they see him as this. Popular character. They don't have enough of a grasp on whats going on around them to see how people even today are still hurt by dahmer. Or any of those other serial killers that media companies have just turned into money makers.

I read something from a victims family member. She's tired of the adaptation after adaptation of Dahmer. She's tired of reliving her truama every time a new Dahmer story comes out. At this point, these adaptations aren't spreading awareness, they're grasping for money. They've almost normalized showcasement of serial killers through that, not just Dahmer, all of them. These halloween kids. They're just a product of that.

I think, in my opinion, I don't mind too much what people dress up as, I don't want to police that. But there is undoubtedly a lot of disrespect in costumes like these. These kids don't really realize the affects of what they're doing and that's where I blame the people who are writing these books and publishing these movies. They need to stop, they've done enough. And do say that as an introject of a serial killer formed from a movie just like those ones. I like that movie cause I like to see myself.

I'd rather it didn't exist and I didn't exist then have to putthe families through the truama they go through.

That's my opinion on it, it's still totally valid to not like those people and yk, you could say "well, other people who saw dahmer know better so these ones should too" and that's true. But there's always gonna be someone. Had that most recent dahmer show not released though, I don't think a lot of people would recognize someone being Jeffrey Dahmer.

People might confuse someone being Gacy for a clown. But if a new movie about Gacy came out and got Dahmer popularity, people might start confusing EVERY clown for Gacy.

Its a shitty circumstance to be in,definitely, especially if you're introjected from him. Hopefully by next year there won't be any more dahmer hype

I’ll never forgive him who has put meg through two years of trauma that he caused and made her look like a liar when he was the one who shot her. I wish He and his fans a very rih(as in rot in hell) Same thing with Drake , Joe budden , Zach Campbell, Lebron James , Mariah the scientist, Dababy, Dj akademiks, 50 cent, all the media outlets that were slutting themselves out for this piece of trash by spreading misinformation and lies about his trial so much that they didn’t care about being ethical or professional (the fact that two white women and crime journalists were more accurate than “black” bloggers is just whewww I’m pissed) and everyone else who ever doubted her and I meant that with the upmost disrespect. Like seriously they can all burn right now, heck I’ll get the matches and kerosene and fry them arssholes myself.

Meg tried to protect him until he opened his mouth. The DA prosecuted him and she was still treated like a villain instead of a victim/survivor. Absolutely DISGUSTING. That man brought his child to court as a prop for sympathy knowing DAM WELL he was guilty 🤡. I pray that Meg and any woman/man dealing with domestic violence, are able to move on and heal. It’s crazy the amount of people who defended this violent troll over a black woman who literally got shot by a grown man. I’ve never seen a domestic dispute where people cancel a victim over a crime that is not only proven, but also completely logical considering his past. And people keep saying it’s the end of her career which sadly might be true cause we live in a backwards society but imagine being thrust into the spotlight right after you lose the only person you had and why you started rapping , your mom, and then being around a bunch of snakes and your sex life outed in front of the world to see for clout whilst in the midst of going to court for being attacked. And I’m sure it wasn’t a good feeling for her to know that she was gonna be locking up a man for a long time but she didn’t have no choice. If Meg didn’t press charges the state would have . She had no control over the outcome or even the investigation. Yeah she lied but I do believe she did out of fear because anything she did or said got back lash. I was even annoyed with her at points even tho I’m always gonna be on her side and the victims side. A recent phone call got leaked pretty much sealing the deal and I still see people refusing to give up their pride and still calling her a liar.

Imagine if your daughter got shot in the foot ? I lost my dad at 20 so I know Megan was extremly lost and just doing everything she was told to do bad influences or not. People don’t know that feeling of not being able to ask your parents for guidance or to just hold your parents for strength , you constantly just gotta think “ what would my mom or dad do” . She was hella young like 22 I believe. Until people have lost a parent they don’t understand how deep it can change you . Meg is a victim legally and figuratively but she’s been treated like a suspect this entire time.

Torey is a felon, torey has attacked people for not shaking his hand, he breaks gun charges , he fights in clubs, he’s very volitile , he is not a good person so why people defend him so heavy is lost upon me . Honestly I believe it’s just out of spite
