But seriously!;; I just- it just hit me, a realization you know? If you're talking about idol culture and how it could erase someone's individuality and all,

I wouldn't write a story in a way that'd make it seem like it was either the idol or their lover's fault if they got stalked and assaulted for having loved someone. That just... Hit me like a brick the moment I saw that chapter where Ai says she really wanted to be together with the guy, the story shouldn't be written in a way that'd make those thoughts she had be...wrong of having done so. It's just not it.

And it really hit harder knowing how wary and defensive Ai could be towards other people, she was scared of forming strong connections. But she really wished to do that with the guy. That meant so much...she did find that one person she loved enough to try and protect with everything she had when she was a kid too herself, oh...if I'm the one who writes her, I would never write her story in a way people would shake their heads and go 'Well, too bad. Seems like she made the wrong choice, she could have done better'. No way.

So... I just knew. If that's what she wanted, then it must see light. And it's a great thing she found him, the story should... Convince us of that to some extent. Because her being centers around the concept of love. It doesn't make sense for her to be wrong in that area.

Soo.. I kept drawing, I was so sure about this but yet I am so nervous too, whatever happens, Ai shouldn't look bad... For me, she's the one that brought in the biggest message for me in terms of this entire story, I'm nuts about love and loving people, Ai always chose to do it despite never having being completely understood herself, she's so precious and I always love characters like that who can do that for others... The guy she loved probably does love her more than anything else in the world too, more than his own life that he's pratically been just dead without her existence and missed her really bad he'd do anything to fill it in hshsh but he can't be that terrible if he's the one Ai's hand-picked lol, it's going to make both of them look really bad if he turns out like that..what is this story even

Oh, personally, I see why people would care for Ai for many different reasons, I see her as a "lovely" character myself, I like that about her the most. I don't even think she's completely dead. They said she's a star now(and that might be better than her being a person and suffering...the people living in onk did not give her justice) I hope she gets to see a good ending. What she wants, cannot be a bad thing the way I see it. It should be what the plot is supposed to be

that evening, rina bid farewell to hao without discussing the confrontation she had with hyemi and haemin. she avoided contemplating the potential consequences of her actions, realizing that no positive outcome seemed likely. despite her certainty that she would never reveal confidential information to them, she remained on the fence about the possibility of cutting contact with him.

hao observed a shift in her demeanor that evening. it appeared as though her thoughts were elsewhere. whenever he attempted to approach her, she withdrew. each time he asked her about her well-being, she simply shrugged. she longed to confide in him, but with his packed schedule, she hesitated to burden him further. despite his numerous commitments, he chose to dedicate his free day to her, and she was reluctant to spoil it for him.

it had been three weeks since they had last seen each other. rina continued working at the store, while hao fulfilled his idol duties. they texted each other the mandatory good morning and good night, without any teasing or jokes like they usually did. it started with rina's texts getting dry as she had something else in mind, then it became intentional.

on hao's end, he interpreted it as her losing interest in the relationship. he blamed his idol schedule for keeping him away from her. no matter how many times he asked her what was wrong, she assured him that she was fine and everything was okay. he never believed her, but he left it alone.

as for haemin and hyemi, they were frustrated with the state of the two's relationship. they couldn't get any dirt on hao if rina wasn't seeing him. they left rina alone in hopes of her thinking they weren't keeping an eye on her, but they got nothing from it.

"rina," hao spoke through the phone. he gave rina a call while she walked home from work.

"hi hao, what are you doing tonight?"

"nothing, you?"

"nothing."

the line was silent for a moment. "great, i'll come to your apartment."

"no!" rina responded a little too fast.

hao tried to mask the lump in his throat with a sly comment, "you got a guy over, or what?"

"hao, don't you have your comeback showcase tomorrow? you should rest well."

"rina, seriously what is wrong? did i do something bad? please tell me so i can fix it." he sounded devastated.

"you didn't do anything wrong. i'll explain it to you, but i don't think now is the right time. you shouldn't be stressed." rina's heart ached for him. she didn't know that he blamed himself for her actions.

"be honest with me. just because i'm an idol doesn't mean any conflict in my life will make my head explode. stop treating me different." hao struggled to not raise his voice.

rina stayed quiet for a while. this is exactly what she didn't want.

"we can't see each other in person for now, we have to be careful."

"why? did someone figure us out?"

"it's haemin and her friend, and they threatened to expose us if i don't give her information. i didn't want to tell you because i thought i should just handle it myself."

"how would you even handle it yourself? why wouldn't you just tell me this in the first place?"

the thing is, rina could ask herself that same question. if there's one thing she hated the most in life, it was conflict. the moment haemin and hyemi brought conflict to their relationship, she felt like it was over. she couldn't handle the anxiety of maintaining a relationship with a popular idol, especially now when there is people close to her trying to take them down.

"i don't want you to have problems, that's all," her voice just above a whisper.

"were you going to break up with me?"

rina didn't want to answer that question, it was quite obvious she was pulling away to soften the blow, she just didn't want to admit it. admitting it would make her come to terms with the fact that she was never ready for this relationship in the first place. she would also have to admit that she is not always rational.

"i guess i'll take your silence as a yes." and with that, he hung up on her.

My question may seem incorrect or inappropriate to you, but I still want to know your opinion. Will you still love and support Jungkook if all his songs are about fucking or something meaningless? What if he remains a performer who will not write his own songs? Or what if his fuckboy image becomes his primary one? Will we ever find out who Jungkook is, or will he always be the Korean version of JB now? I always thought that I would support bts members no matter what, but now looking at Jungkook, I understand that this is not the person whose music I want to listen to. His interviews also give me a strange feeling. Are these really his thoughts or Scooter's? Who is this man? I just don't understand why I should continue to be his fan if his music and personality suddenly changed radically. I saw that you answered one of the anons with something like "whether we like it or not, jungkook chose this direction." So we should support him even if we don't like his new image, thoughts and music? But why? Because he was different before? I think we shouldn't judge Jk too harshly too fast. His album isn't out yet. But I'd say this, if his music isn't your taste and doesn't align with your taste in terms of style or lyrics, you don't own him or anyone else your undivided support. We shouldn't force ourselves to listen to things we dislike just because a BTS member did them. It also sends a wrong message to them that the fanbase is enjoying something and we want more of it , when in really we don't even like it.

I believe Jungkook's new found fuckboy image is in part Shooter' doing , but in part JK's. The company probably suggested this route because it sells well , popular is in the USA and also fits Jungkook's appearance (hot guy with muscles, piercings and tattoos). I think Scooter got in his head that this is something that would be great for Jungkook to make him "a global pop star", but still JK isn't a mindless doll. The company may have suggested it, but he agreed. Clearly this image is something he is okay with, seems to enjoy and also maybe wanted to express for a while now (being more "mature").

That being said, just because JK sings and looks like a fuckboy, doesn't mean he IS one and even if he is a fuckboy in real life, I don't think this is all that he is. We've literally seen Jungkook grow up in front of our eyes for years and while every idol's image is in a part a facade and men will always be men, I don't think Jungkook changed completely or was deceitful so far.

Maybe the truth about who he is somewhere in the middle. He could still be a thoughtful, sweet guy in some aspects, and a man-whore. I only seriously wish and hope that he isn't misogynistic because I simply cannot support anyone like that. Him in that TikTok really gave me the ick but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt (for now).

As I said previously, Jungkook is set on this direction for now and he doesn't care if people like it. That doesn't mean we should like it and support it though. Just like he chose this path, we are free to choose where we want to spend our time and money. It seems Jungkook perfectly understands this and expects to lose some fans, yet he still chose this career path. Maybe this is a part of himself that is authentic to him and he wants to show it, no matter what that cost him. Maybe it seems to him the reward (being more famous in the USA) is bigger than the loss.

He said he felt like now is the time to shed off the Maknae image and he is doing it. I only hope that by trying to get out of the box some people out him into, he doesn't limit himself even more. This playboy persona and "playful, lightly shocking" songs could get tiring real fast. I hope he doesn't loose all the loyal support he has now , while chasing the idea of being "the main pop boy".

In conclusion, Jungkook is set on transforming himself and his image right now and that is his right. If you don't like who he has become by the end of this metamorphosis, you have right to simply ignore his music until the group becomes active again. Personally, I've never been a fan of JB , so if Jungkook becomes a similar type of artist, than he is simply not the artist for me anymore.

Kantaro ends his birthday live with a last peace sign, and lets out a relieved sigh when the little red dot indicating he was live disappears. The views count was low, barely hitting five hundred, and Kantaro can't help but wonder how worthless is existence is if people won't even be there for his birthday -that was his special day, for fuck's sake! Why couldn't they all celebrate with him?

On top of that, Esther said he'd come to celebrate today, and he was well past an hour late. Defeated, Kantaro slumps in his chair. Esther probably forgot, why would he care? Kantaro isn't all that important and the eldest has other things to do in his life that are probably much, much higher priorities than a failure of an idol like he is, right? That must be it, there's no other explanation, and...

A loud slam of the front door interrupts his train of thought, and only a few seconds pass before Esther barges into the room and literally throws himself at Kantaro, who's so taken aback he's completely frozen. When Esther pulls back, the other members of VISTY appear at the door, intrigued by the noise.

-I am so late! He says. I was indecisive and I ended up missing the train, so I told myself I'd go by bus but then I missed the stop so I had to come by foot, but I kinda got lost... I'm so sorry!

-So you didn't forget...?

The look in Kantaro's eyes and the tone of his voice are close to break Esther's heart.

Kantaro himself is staring at the present and is practically vibrating from curiosity, and Esther struggles to hide his amusement. He playfully rolls his eyes when Toma nudges him with his elbow.

-Okay, okay. He laughs. Well, I hope you'll like it.

Kantaro doesn't wait before tearing open the wrapping and opening the box. Inside lies a beige hoodie made of soft, fluffy fur. When he takes it out to look at it, he notices the little ears sewn to the hood. It's oversized and, when he takes off the sweatshirt he's wearing to try on the new one, it swallows him whole like a warm hug.

Seemingly satisfied, Esther nods to himself.

-You're so cute! He ends up saying. I hoped it'd fit you, you look great.

-Thank you, Es... I love it so much!

The smile he makes is less controlled than the ones he makes on camera. It's more toothy, uneven in a sense, and there's a fondness in everyone's eyes as they watch him nuzzle his nose in the fabric.

Esther smiles, grabs Kantaro's face and smack a light kiss on his forehead before pulling him close to his chest.

-Happy birthday, baby bear. I love you.

-Mmh. I love you too.

And soon, as Aoi, Shogo and Toma join in, the whole group becomes a tangled mess of arms and legs, squeezing a giggly Kantaro in a giant... Bear hug!

To add to the discussion on Johndo vs Taedo:

Anon, Do chose to watch SWF (with Tae as the judge) over his own brother’s drama, when both the timings clashed. I’m not saying he loves Tae more than Gongmyung, no. But I think it has to do more with how Tae is in such an environment, keeping up with people’s perception of Tae (considering the hate he received etc..). Do cares about such things when it comes to Tae, Jae and Hyuck ( Do hovering around Hyuck when he was feeling ill).

Tbh, about TY’s YouTube, I have a feeling Do would have watched the initial ones to see how Tae settled in. Do wants to be Tae’s support. And he takes things that Tae’s emotionally invested in seriously.

But it’s not the same with Johnny and JCC. Do gives Johnny company, but his emotinal investment is not as heightened as with Tae. Like I don’t think he will choose to come back early from a vacation at home, because Johnny feels lonely/scared. We know he did it for Tae…

Taejaehyuck as Do’s closest circle is something I have observed too, now even more crystal thanks to some pointers from the author. But I find it pretty adorable that Do formed this bond with Tae. Both Jae and Hyuck are pretty independent, Jae more than Hyuck. But Tae seems like someone for whom Do would need to work more than what he does for Jaehyuck (this is keeping Jaedo ’s relationship constant, I’m talking about each pair as friends). So him being bffs with Tae despite his neediness has always interested me? Like why Tae? Or was it more circumstantial? 

Also, how needy do you think Hyuck is? Generally and wrt Do?

The difference in emotional investment is apparent. 

It is difficult to discuss relationships and friendships in the unit. On one hand, it is interesting in regard to human nature and social dynamics, examples of help or achieving a working rapport despite differences in personalities, how different temperaments deal with similar hardships of the idol life, etc. Observing 127 is like watching a crew of a spaceship. A group of randomly unrelated by blood or other connections people who can’t escape each other and have to work together, whose survival depends on each other. 

On the other hand, everyone biases someone (and thus are biased and emotional on bias’ behalf), and everyone understands friendship differently. People project what they know and what they want to see.

TaeDo. Doyoung has an urge to take people under his wing and he likes when people listen to him. He said that about Jeno, Jeno became his favourite because he behaved as a kid. Doyoung likes to take care of others (he says he prefers to give love than to receive it). Taeyong was accused of bullying around his debut, he had the leader responsibilities, he openly asked for Do’s attention and help. I think the hard times when they both opened to each other (like the time Tae started to cry writing lyrics and Do came into the room and started crying with him) made them this close. 

Eventhough Johnny talked about JohnDo having talks in a closet and overcomeing difficult times together, it evidently wasn’t on the same emotional scale for Doyoung. Doyoung helped Johnny (and thus became so important), but not vise versa. Do always says that Johnny makes him laugh, that’s it. It always sounded to me as Do accepting Johnny’s character but not celebrating him. Johnny’s humour and teasing of Do is something Doyoung tolerates. Johnny often says he teases Do the most out of love. And why would he if it didn’t bother Do. 

Meanwhile, Tae is needy, but he yields not antagonises. In this way he is more comfortable and suitable for Doyoung. I remember Johnny tried to explain to Do that him being spontaneous and not planning a trip can match well with Do’s planning nature (while it should drive people like Do mad, actually). 

Both Taeyong and Johnny demand attention and investment in themselves. However, Taeyong does it with boba eyes and obedience, while Johnny pushes and presses. And he tries sometimes to not do it, but his nature wins out in the end. When Tae teases Do “beats” him, when Johnny teases Do bears through it. 

It’s not like Doyoung doesn’t like Johnny, Johnny’s character is just too much for him to be comfortable and relax. We see them when they are both in a mood to spend time together. And don’t see them when Doyoung doesn’t let Johnny into his room because he is tired of everyone and needs a break (but JN complains to us, fans, about it later) or don’t care to check on Johnny and tell him his ideas and future plans (again, Johnny complains about it later). 

And lastly. I told once that I think righteous Doyoung evaluates people. He keeps hardworkers in a higher regard. Taeyong in worth the effort because Taeyong gives everything to the group, to other people, he creates music. He is Do’s worthy champion. 

TaeDo manage to fall into the same wavelength, same pace well as evident from their trip vlogs. Johnny runs away from Doyoung to climb the stairs, hides from him in a store in a foreign country with Mark, drives away and leaves him on the streets in a foreign country... Taeyong goes where Doyoung goes.   

Haechan evidently needs both Doyoung and Taeyong looking at how often he thanks both and how he looks for Do’s approbation in small details (like the taste of soup) and small favours (make me fried rice). Hyuk always makes sure to let others know when Doyoung buys smth for Dreamies or does smth for 127 neos. 

Haechan needs company. He goes to eat with Taeil when Doyoung isn’t available. And he likes Taeil for being accepting with him. So I’d say he is needy. He is independant about his career, knowing what he wants, he doesn’t need to be mentored on things or encouraged much (in comparison to Woo). He is a smart, wise and ambitious man himself. However, Hyuk needs a family, the love, the gifts, the meals, the protection from antis. Doyoung gives him safety to crush. When Hyuk is tired he goes to sit near Doyoung or get a pat on the head from him.  

Jaehyun is a needy one as well. Half a day without Doyoung’s attention and he starts to pout and sulk. The difference is that he is OK to feel the bond, to know he is loved (knowing Doyoung, Jae is bombarded with text messages anyway). He is a working dog that can work in the field alone, but once he comes back he needs a treat and the rubs.

I was sort of looking forward to the Zelda Splatfest, but you know what? This game has gotten to be a source of frustration and disappointment for me, and I'd rather just wait a week and actually play TOTK which I know won't disappoint. I'm done with Splatoon for a while. Citing:

Over-aggressive, toxic players who splat, chase, and spawn camp so that you literally cannot even play the game for three minutes. These people are not fun to play with, and the answer shouldn't be "Get good". There should be a mode specifically for people like this, or a mode specifically for casuals, or at the very least a better matchmaking system. This was an issue in 2 as well--I was told by a friend to play Splatoon, that it was just fun and silly and the community was great. What I found when I started playing 2 just over a year ago was a hostile community bent on aggression and keeping me stuck in the base, unable to even learn how to play.

Shitty backstory; I don't need more dark and depressing things in my life. Not sorry!

Splatoon 3's story mode is an unforgiving Octo Expansion clone with no learning curve for new players, returning players out of practice, and casuals. No, we don't need levels where you're automatically splatted the second you miss a target in the most basic mode.

It seems to have lost the silliness; there were few moments to laugh at during story mode. The game (and seemingly far too many players) takes itself too seriously. We don't even get Sunken Scrolls, which provided lore for non-idol characters and the world, and were a source of some of the humor. Instead we get the depressing Alterna Logs, which I didn't even care to complete and wish I hadn't read.

Because of the aggressive people, Turf War is basically unplayable to new and casual players. Anarchy battles can also be difficult and aren't everyone's thing. Yet these are the only way to earn EXP. Salmon Run and Table Turf don't get you any.

Salmon Run's AI often feels extremely unfair, especially when it comes to Maws sucking you in when you shouldn't be, Glowfly waves have the glowflies AND Salmonids move so fast there's no time to react, and the fact that Salmonids are no longer slowed down by your ink with no notice or explanation. The mode sees like it was never tweaked, or else like story mode, the devs were in the mood to beat the players at the game for some reason.

Table Turf just isn't fun, and you get the same EXP no matter who you challenge. The grind is awful.

Why are there seasons and catalogs? I could understand if this was a pay to play game, but it isn't. Why did they add features that seem to aim to get players addicted? A lot of the catalog is junk too; drink tickets are easily acquired from the Shell-Out machine or Salmon Run, Table Turf cards are only exciting if you're a fan of Table Turf, and a lot of the clothes just...aren't something I'd want. Like this season, there's tons of clog shoes and camo print clothes. Both are a big nope from me. Yet when I do see something I like (such as the faux fur boots with the bling dangling on the back, or the Motley Hoodless), I end up grinding in Salmon Run because again, Turf is unplayable.

The stages are garbage, with apparently returning stages being given downgrades and I don't know why they chose two of some of the worst stages to return from Splatoon 2 in Salmon Run.

A lot of the subs and specials just aren't useful to every play style, which is a pain if you want to use a weapon you like but the specials are useless for you. I get that there's a lot of bias towards certain weapon classes, so why even have other classes if all they're going to do is nerf them in favor of others?

The connectivity and matchmaking issues. People have been complaining about matchmaking since the first Splatoon, and I feel like they hid being able to see other people's levels rather than in fix it, in the hopes that not knowing someone else's levels would trick people into thinking they were matched evenly. The servers crap out way too often, dropping people in the middle of battles or Salmon Run left and right. This hasn't been fixed in over six months since the game's release, and seems like it never will be.

The music. I get that they add music over time, but there's just the same handful of bands in Splatoon 3 and the handful of songs by them rotate too much and have gotten old fast.

Apparently squid partying is back. It's fun when everyone in the lobby agrees to party, but when only one or two people decide to do it (especially if they're on the same team), it can make it really hard for their team if they want to play normally, make the match unfair, and is just rude. It seemed like being able to move around between matches helped curtail squidpartying, but it's come back lately.

The three-way Splatfests don't seem to work out. Rarely is it even, and sometimes the winner is determined almost unfairly since despite having you pick a region, Splatfests are global (specifically talking about White Chocolate winning the Chocolate Splatfest--white chocolate is a love it or hate it thing in the US at least, but very different and popular in Japan). People often don't pay any attention to the question of the Splatfest and choose their favorite option even if it doesn't make sense with the question, or just choose their favorite idol's option. People also don't understand how Tricolor works--too often the attacking teams will attack each other when they can and are supposed to both work against the defending team. Splatting everyone on the other attacking team and working to ink over what they have tends to help the defending team.

The choice to either turn off all posts in the plaza, or have to see ones I'd rather not. There are some people I'd like to just block as I'm tired of them bringing drama to the plaza, tired of seeing people's weird vents that are definitely something better suited for a therapist rather than publicly in a kid's video game, and tired of people picking fights publicly, or spamming the plaza. There are plenty of great art posts in the plaza and plenty of funny posts, but because we can't just block someone posting something we'd rather not see, we have to make the choice of turning off all posts or having these things sometimes forced in our faces as we pass them or a wall the art is put on.

So rather than play yet another frustrating Splatfest and subject myself to aggressive people and unforgiving mechanics, I'm moving onto a game that will be functional, fun, friendly, and worthwhile.

Six Eared Shadow

Do you remember the analysis about Mei and Red Son? That was me, and I'm doing this again, but now about Macaque and Sun Wukong

Because what the heck why do they hate each other so much

Ok, so this... This is such a messy chaotic really chaotic mix of a few headcanons and theories I made up and it SOMEHOW turned into a fanfic that I wrote so long that other people made many similar things in meanwhile and now this sounds not original at all, but I wrote it not to keep it in my deep hidden shelf so here we go

(It's based on what I know from the lmk series. I've started to read JTTW, but I'm still not so far to get to know anything about Macaque, but I won't change anything about this theory from now on)

Let's gather some basic information for the start.

-> Macaque is made with a shadow or even he is a shadow (kinda shadow demon, the demon of shadow). I mean, shadow is not only his power, he literally is made with shadow matter. We know that because he can not only manipulate shadows but also go through walls and turn yourself into a shadow.

-> I'm not sure if someone made him or he just "poof" out of nowhere just like Sun Wukong, but according to the story he told about how close he and Monkey King used to be, there's no doubt they had some master/student relationship which later turned into almost equal partnership. What is said, Macaque followed Sun Wukong for a long time, learning a lot from him, 'being his shadow'. They grew in power together, fought together, and (as it is said) Macaque started casting as Sun Wukong shadow, which (surprisingly) looks like he did willingly. Just look at the picture - the shadow is big and bright, it’s powerful and smiling, proud of his strength. He doesn’t look like someone forced to be Sun Wukong’s shadow. It shows how much Macaque admired Monkey King, that he wasn't just a friend for him, he was his idol.

-> We all know Macaque is a shadow demon, he can easily change his appearance, he does not have to look like an evil clone of Monkey King, especially if he hates him now or something, SO even if he used to look up at Sun as his ex-student or ex-partner, and now we know he is NOT, he would prefer to not look so similar any more.

He can choose any other look, but he doesn't. Why? Well, maybe he actually cannot. Maybe this isn't an appearance he has specifically chosen, maybe this is his 'basic' comfy form and any other form would just take too much energy to keep up. And looking at the really tiny probability of two very similar monkeys just "poofing" out of nowhere, I dare to say, Macaque wasn't born (I mean like Sun Wukong or any other demon), but he was specifically created. And here is a question: on someone's purpose or not? Maybe the power of great Monkey King was so strong so the part of it just jumped from him and formed into another similar creature, but let me say it's just weird and I prefer the theory of Sun Wukong being so bored and lonely after his master's (Tripitaka) death, and he created a brother for himself from his own shadow. Just to have someone, anyone.

So Wukong created Macaque and then what? He trained him, he taught him everything he knew, maybe even he shared his powers with him. Some great great bonding time. But as Macaque said, something drew them apart. It is visible that Macaque blamed Monkey King for this, for 'forgetting him'. Before speculation of what happened then between them, let's focus on what Macaque showed us what he wants now.

We have two episodes, both show different sides of him. In season 1, Macaque's main goal is to steal Monkey King's power from Mk, and then to very specifically revenge. He visibly does not want to defeat Sun Wukong, he wants to hurt him as much as possible. Look: when Monkey King showed up, Macaque totally forgot about Mk. And then, when he's so close to defeat him, instead of that he turned to Mk and tried to kill the teenager. Mk is just a tool to hurt Sun Wukong.

And we can't forget how Macaque constantly pointed out all the weak sides of Sun, he's basically just saying on and on "you're weak, you're weak, you're so weak, I'm so strong, I'm strong, you are so weak". Which really fits the feeling of being forgotten because he was weaker and Monkey King was stronger, better, glorious and famous. Macaque really feels like that, he really tried to make Sun Wukong feel his pain by dominating him.

On the other hand, we see that Sun constantly striked off him. He said almost nothing to him, just "Aren't you bored of keep being in my shadow? It's time to give back what you've stolen" and that was fricking all. For Monkey King, Macaque is a just shadow, always behind him, something you turn around and leave behind to not see it and to forget, like an unwanted past. An unnecessary problem, that irritatingly keeps returning to him. He does not want to interact to not make even a slight more bond between them, he wants to delete him from his life forever, and omg WHY. At this end of the ep, Sun Wukong did not even mention Macaque. He really doesn't care at all (or extremely tries to not care). His HATE is almost touchable, ouch.

In season 2, Sun Wukong LEFT US ALL ALONE. Macaque showed up again, he played with Mk a bit, and... Left? That's the thing, you see, he doesn't need to hurt or kill Mk. All we see is Macaque talking about his past and then letting Mk experience something the 'hero' in the story should have felt. The guilt. When Mk interpreted his story differently, seeing himself as the warrior, Macaque corrected him. Cause he doesn't care about Mk at all. He heard how Mk told him about what hurt him, and here is a funny point, because if Macaque needs to be understood, listening to Mk and talking with him (such a simple act of empathy, they both needed it then, guh) should have been enough. Mk really felt the 'warrior' character in the story, so he understood what Macaque felt. But surprisingly, that was not what the demon carved.

Macaque chose to make Mk feel like Monkey King at the moment something drew the demons apart. He wanted to force Mk to be sorry, to apologize, to regret his mistakes, cause he failed with forcing Monkey King to feel that. But! Maybe he is not as purely innocent and poorly forlorn. We see the flashback for a half of second before Mk hit him with Staff:

We see Sun Wukong attacking Macaque who's in his demon (true) form.

Let's repeat this: Macaque felt as if a friend left him in the past. He said a friend did this to have all the "hero's glory" for themselves. We know Sun Wukong could do such a thing, especially before he met Tripitaka, but 1. In my theory Macaque is created after Tripitaka's death and 2. If (as my theory said) Sun created Macaque to not feel so lonely, he would never leave him for such a thing. So Macaque hides something for sure, something he did, something so terrible that made Sun Wukong attack him and not want to know him anymore. How horrendous thing Macaque did that made Sun Wukong choose to be alone again and to forget his dear brother he created by himself?

Back to the great bonding time, repeating speculation of "oh maybe they even share the powers" and comparing it to Macaque wanting to steal Mk's power, my theory here is saying:

Sun Wukong taught Macaque the technique of the same powers as he knew, but Macaque overused it (probably wanting to see how powerful he is, probably showing off and killing so many harmless people) doing terrible terrible things. So Monkey King took all of the powers from him and left him alone, powerless, with the last painful words: "Dont you dare to show in front of my eyes ever again". Of course Macaque was hurt, of course he didn't see why he's the bad guy, because he did not care about people at all. And of course Sun Wukong was hurt too.

Maybe he came back to the village Macaque had destroyed and following a quiet crying he found a little baby with a heart so clear and he put into him all Macaque's powers, making them sleep until the time will be right... But back to the series!

Yes exactly. Why did he destroy the lantern and leave? Why did he suddenly lose interest in teasing Mk and stop forcing him to feel guilty?

First thing, he saw Mk is ready to fight for his friends seriously. He still cared so much about them, not like Monkey King about Macaque. That was hard to swallow, that was hard to watch for the demon. That was't the thing he wanted to see. And second, the flashback. Maybe the sudden realization that he actually did something bad. Cause Sun Wukong didn’t just leave him, he cast him out. It was hard to admit that he actually deserved this (or maybe much more), it’s much easier to blame others, not yourself. So Macaque felt “that’s enough” and left. Mk brought him to this uncomfortable point of admitting the truth. Which he didn’t want to. Maybe in the following eps, he will see it, but now Macaque just isn’t ready yet. But the last talk with Mk gives me a little hope. He stopped treating him like a tool or toy, he was actually talking with him like with a person, he even warned him about Lady Bone Demon.

Maybe (maybe) one day he'll see that humans aren't just useless creatures he can carelessly kill, maybe Mk will make him care and realize what he's done, but that's just speculation in speculation, he could die before he reaches that point, maybe he is already dead....

And that's it. That is all I wrote on ao3, but in the fanfic I put much more details and I build those characters up much more than here. This is only rough rough short-saying, I'm really sorry if you read it all

Guessing NCT's rising signs: Huang Renjun as a Cancer rising

Welcome to my first post where I write all about why I think this idol is X rising sign! I don't know how many of these I'll do because it heavily depends on how confident I feel in my guess of their rising lol for Renjun's rising sign, it's something I've been sitting on for a loooong time just to see if anything else comes into my head. At the end of the day we really have no way to know for sure, even if the idols gives us their birth time it still has to be taken with a grain of salt! But it’s still fun theorize and to test your skills while learning at the same time. So for now I feel pretty confident sharing my thoughts on Renjun as a cancer rising.

✦ Before I even decided to look up his chart layout, there were 2 characteristics of Renjun that initially led me to think he’s a Cancer rising. His eyes and his physique. His eyes aren’t necessarily as big as idols we’ve seen with moon in 1st, but they’re still very notable features of his physical appearance that he’s very well known for. They’re bigger, soft and dreamy, and sometimes look like he quite literally holds stars in his eyes. The biggest physical feature though is his, well, petite frame. Next to his eyes, renjun is also really well know for his smaller build. It’s even a well known inside joke amongst NCT, they all him “big shoulders renjun” (lol) because “for a guy” his shoulders a on the smaller side. Both of these physical attributes can also be identifying characteristics of cancer risings.

✦ So, in general I think he is a Cancer rising. But if we want to be more specific; I do think he is a 3rd decan Cancer rising which is the Pisces/Neptune ruled decan. I initially chose this because his house and planet placements just make so much more sense to me when the rising is in the 3rd decan (I'll get into that below), but after reading about the 3rd decan I also think it fits his personality really well! With the Neptune and Pisces influence, he's more on the open side of Cancer rising but more notably, 3rd decans are a lot more inclined to art/creativity and sometimes, music specifically. These people also have a very dreamy attraction about them. He also has his Venus trine ASC which can further add to this kind of creative vibe he gives off, but is also drawn to! It emphasizes the importance of aesthetics, art and creativity in his life. If you've never been on Renjun stan twt then you might not know that a lot of his fans see him as this incredibly dreamy and ethereal boy (as they should) and I can see why!

Scorpio moon, Sagittarius Pluto in 5th:

✦ yea... just yes. Okay but actually, if you read my NCT Dream Hexaco x Birth Chart analyses, I talked a lot about his chart already because I really like it. As someone with a Scorpio moon, I can't help but be really interested in how his plays out. And I have to say, I am quite attached to this theory because I think his scorpio moon in 5th just. makes. sense. I'm not going to go much into the descriptions of the placements, I'm mostly going to stick to the house influence. We know that Scorpio moons have really intense emotions, they internalize everything and are just highly sensitive people to their environments. Renjun has been incredibly open about his mental and emotional struggles ever since being a kid. I've honestly never heard an idol talk about their struggle like he has. He even opened up recently about how a few years ago he had an art therapist that really helped him and lowkey changed his life. I feel like a lot of this can be reflected in his 5th house. The house of creativity, expression, creation. His 5th cusp is also in Scorpio. 5th house in water tend to be really drawn to arts and music. Having a Scorpio moon, a moon sign that can be quite guarded, in a fire house can also explain his readiness/openness to share his emotions and art. Also let's not forget his chart ruler is his Scorpio moon in 5th! What I've wrote above are big themes in his life, which we've seen.

✦ As for the Pluto in 5th. Because his 5th house is in Scorpio this would mean the 5th ruler is in 5th. I know it might not make sense at first because it's pluto and pluto is misunderstood. But it makes perfect sense to me. Pluto in 5th is a deeply passionate and creative placement. It bring so much energy to this house, and can even create a borderline obsession with themes of this house. With creating and expressing. But I could also see having this and his scorpio moon in this house bringing so much energy, it just kind of adds to the confusion and intensity of a scorpio moons emotions and processing abilities, like, emotionally overwhelming. Scorpio moons always need an outlet and they usually figure that out the hard way at some point in life. The outlet can vary based off the chart, his is without a doubt connected to his art; whatever that may be to him.

Aquarius Uranus in 8th:

✦ This part is brief because it's more of like, additional details to what's already in his chart. Something that is really well known about Renjun too is how much he is into space and aliens and stuff like that. He, once again, has been very open about it lol on variety shows I've seen him light up every time its briefly mentioned and he'll comment on how much he finds that stuff interesting. The 8th house is weird, it can manifest in a lot of different ways. The biggest point here for me is that the house is in Aquarius with Uranus here. I know someone with this placement too and, while they're open minded to astrology and tarot etc. it's a bit more focused on logic. I can't say for sure because I don't know him, but he kind of strikes me as the kind of person that would fight to death over aliens existing, but draws the line at astrology lol. I actually do think he would be open to astrology and tarot, but he'd need the right introduction to it. Anyways, yea this placement to me explains a lot of his interest in space and things we don't understand. He's expressed his curiosity in it. I think a lot of this is coming from his Scorpio moon and Pisces mercury/venus which is why I think it's just additional support.

✦ THIS HOUSE right here... so much to say. Firstly, Pisces in 9th is probably one of the main culprits for his creativity, deep thinking and curiosity in the world. And more importantly: his imagination. I've mentioned this a lot when I talk about renjun but, he's very well known for his creativity, but I want to make it clear that there is a distinction between creation and imagination. His imagination is truly... on another level. Well, planet actually since it's pisces! Again, amongst fans it's really well known his imagination is just so unqiue. This is less about the 9th house and more about the fact that he has 2 pisces placements but it still affects it lol. He's very open about his imagination and speaks about it so naturally. He shared his drawing of a bird, hybrid, thing? and how it's an animal that steals your dreams in your sleep. Anyways, Pisces in 9th aren't necessarily the travelers we'd see with an air or fire sign here, but they like to travel mentally. He's also talked about how he's just in general a very curious person and you can tell his thoughts probably travel far and wide in his down time.

✦ What's really interesting to me about this house is his mercury is here and Mercury in 9th is a very specific kind of placement. It almost always guarantees an interest and talent in learning languages. I don't know if languages are necessarily a passion for him but he definitely is interested and cares about learning language and other cultures. He also did pick up on Korean and English with ease. Which also reminds me that, he actually was exposed to Korean at a young age because I'm pretty sure he went to a bilingual school (chinese and korean). This is also a big deal to me because planets in 9th, especially sun/mercury often indicate very early exposure to languages or other cultures... so yea that checks out. This can also be proved by looking at his IC in Virgo, which puts the ruler in 9th. His mercury is also sextile Jupiter. I also wanna comment that he has his Mercury in the 5th degree, I'm not great at degree theory yet but that feels significant to me. Of course we cannot forget his absolutely angelic voice. Renjun is also very well known for his stunning vocals. Not only are Pisces placements musically inclined but Pisces mercury are known for their sweet voices.

✦ As for the venus is 9th, I feel like I have more to say on his venus being in Pisces because that's where so much of his artistic creativity and imagination come from. But venus here adds to a lot of what I've written above, adding to his curiosity of the world. What I find most interesting about venus in 9th though, is it brings another inclination to art! He might really like art from different places in the world, or just exploring all types of art being very open minded to its different forms etc. Venus here also brings ease to language learning, and these people will naturally have other cultures and people from them as a big part of their life. I feel like, in general it's not surprising at all to me that as a foreign member (being from China), that he would have 9th house influence! It can often manifest as like.., travel, other languages, cultures and parts of the world etc. are just very naturally a part of their life. Some people never really contemplate life overseas or in another country. But for 9th housers, it's never not been an option. His 9th house influence can also make him a great teacher, mentor and just overall supportive person. We've seen some of this in the content he's made with NCT. Like trying to teach his members chinese with Chenle, except he was taking it way more seriously lol but was so supportive. He's also tried to get Jeno and Jisung involved in his art making, but keeping the process very open and fun.

Aries sun, Taurus mars in 10th:

✦ This is the last part I'm going to cover because it is really just the icing on the cake to finish this up. The 10th house is considered pretty important when looking at celebrities/idols because it's very likely a lot of what we see from them is their 10th house influence. In the chart model I'm using for Renjun, it puts his MC in the very last degrees of Pisces, so there's a chance it's in Aries but either way with his sun and mars here they are still playing a big role. So for that reason, I'm opting for Pisces MC. I also think Pisces MC fits though because first it puts the ruler in his 7th house. Meaning he could really benefit and work well in something that involves a group! Because it's Pisces in Neptune, it also adds to his very ethereal vibe and how people just seem to love him wherever he goes. He's very magnetic and can come off as artistic and sensitive. He's known for being dreamy, unreal, artistic, sensitive.

✦ Again, we know he has an aries sun and taurus mars so I'm not going to explain them here, just how they affect the house, but having his these here makes so much sense to me too. Having planets in 10th also influences what kind of "vibe" people get from you, and what you're "known" for. Mars and Sun bring similar energy of being well known for for energy, drive, and even stage presence. Not being afraid to be on stage, being good with attention and spotlight. He's known for his kind of playful and childish behavior at times. He is charismatic, bold, brave, happy and upbeat. With the sun, he is again known for his creativity and creations and also self-expression.

Acting with Kim Seon Ho

I might come up with a full fic of the drama. 

You started out as a idol trainee but never debuted but became an actress instead. Although you are not very young, korean age 29 and Seon Ho is 35. You didn’t star in many dramas and was not as popular as names like suzy and park shin hye. In this sense, you are alot like Kim Seon Ho before he hit it big with Start Up. 

You did not grow up in korea and speak better in english than korean. You’re friends with the korean-american celeb community like BM, Jessi, Eric. Your best friend is Blackpink’s Rose because you guys met during trainee days as a music school and later reconnected at a private Tiffany&Co event. 

You are under Starship ent which is a fairly big company with actors like Lee dongwook so your skills isn’t too far off and in general you land in scripts and channels that are not too bad. 

You got an offer from the writer who wrote Crash Landing On You and upon reading script and much discussion with the company, you decided to take this up. 

You learn that the production team is trying their best to get Kim Seon Ho to be the male lead and you felt honoured and at the same time pressured. You really wished to have him as your partner in this drama because you knew that he was talented, but you also wanted to keep your hopes low because you knew that he was booked left right centre and he has many scripts and projects flooding in. 

The storyline of the drama was also one reason why you kept your hopes low. 

The drama centers around the female (which is your role) whose husband requested for a divorce as he fell in love with a co-worker who is a headstrong career woman. The female lead tries to salvage her marriage by entering into the company that her husband and his mistress works in and struggles her way into the workforce after being a housewife for 10 years. 

The truth is, you were deliberating very hard as to whether this role was suitable for you as it is quite a leap from the usual roles and it might change the image that you have in the public eyes. For the male lead, this change is an even bigger risk and now that Seon ho is getting more popular, you were pretty sure there’s 60% chance he would reject the offer so as to keep his image. 

But the script was interesting as it portrayed third party and affairs in a different light and the characters were complex so this would take your acting skills to a new level. With that, you decided to take on the challenge despite the risk that you might not be offered dramas in future that were of younger romantic comedy genre since you will be remembered as an actress that played mum and divorcee. 

To your surprise, Seon ho took on the role as well. And the reason you heard of is that he felt that the script is compelling and he wanted to challenge himself in a new role. 

The other female actress who will play the role of the third party is Son Na eun of Apink and you thought that she was a good fit for the role too. 

The day of drama reading, Seon ho was the last to arrive and he was so apologetic about it. He was polite and greeted everybody with his big dimple smile. It was his first time meeting you and Naeun so the 3 of you were quite awkward and unfamiliar. 

When filming officially started, you were so busy preparing and translating your lines and practicing them that you felt very pressured. As the drama was produced by the team behind the hit success Crash Landing and also featuring the current hot actor Kim seon ho, it was also highly anticipated and everyone was looking forward to the drama to air. 

The filming process was also tiring as the tone of the drama is quite serious and sad compared to a light-hearted love drama or comedy. But to your surprise the filming was quite enjoyable mainly because seon ho is very easy to work with and also very professional. 

Even though he must have been very tired as the shoot is often in between his other projects like 2 Days 1 Night and his other pictorials and advertisement shoots, he rarely screws up his part and came prepared with his lines so there won’t many retakes. He is also very bubbly and cheerful, making the filming atmosphere livelier and friendlier. 

The chemistry between you and him hit off better than expected as well. You enjoyed his sometimes awkward jokes, you could follow up with this ad-libs and both of you saw eye-to-eye when it comes to how the both of you should act certain scenes to bring out certain message or emotions. 

You usually speak to your staff and manager in english which would leave the total korean boy seon ho in awe. And you always joke that the hardest part about this drama is that you have to pretend that you dont understand english as you are supposed to play the role of a clueless housewife who became an intern in a top company. And Naeun who doesn’t understand english has to play the role of your manager who is capable and good at presentations and reports in english. 

When the drama air, the public had good response and the chemistry between you and seon ho became recognised just as how people were speculating that Hyun Bin and Son Ye jin are definitely dating. 

The both of you were not at the dating stage yet because seon ho is so busy. And his personality is so friendly that he usually maintain a very amicable relationship with everybody so you established that the both of you are just very good colleagues that managed to become friends outside of work.   

To your surprise, seon ho called you one day - “chae young ahhh” he repeated and emphasized “chae young” a few times which was not your real name but the name of your character in the drama so you kind of had the sense to reply “oh yeobo”, which absolutely pleased him. Turns out it was a call from seon ho while filming 2 days 1 night. He was on a mission and he had to prove that he wasn’t lying when he said on the show that the both of you had good chemistry so choosing you to call to help him in the mission is the best person. You had to make a guess of the option his group chose in order for them to pass and be given lunch. The way you answered the call has already made a great impression to the team and the 2d1n members were all impressed by the chemistry you had with seon ho. You also passed the game round and they were saying that you should drop by the show as a guest as the next week, they will have to bring a female guest who are also their good friend to help them in the episode. 

Your company is rather particular about their artistes appearing on variety shows and it’s only after they screened the other female guests and realised that the rest are mostly comedians, that they allowed you to be on the show and the instruction was that you have to maintain your image. 

It was easy as the members and everyone in the team treated you like a princess in comparison to the 2 female comedians so as to make the show funnier. And seon ho especially took care of you as well even outside of the filming. 

He introduced you to the actor yeon jung hoon who was on the show and in between breaks you were able to consult him about some concerns that you have, especially since you are juggling 2 dramas. 

Towards the halfway mark of the drama filming with seon ho, you were offered another drama, a love story drama with a younger actor this time Seo Kang Joon. As the new drama is a typical courtship and love story drama, you were afraid that the way you act might not be able to draw a difference that well that the audience will be able to see the shadow of the divorced wife character that you are playing in the other drama. 

Jung hoon adviced that every role will have some kind of resemblance because it all came from you. It’s impossible to always present a totally original and fresh character without some resemblance here and there. But maybe if we see the resemblance as the actor’s style and essence, then you wouldnt feel so pressured to draw the distinction between all the roles that you act in. 

This scene was aired on 2d1n and it helped the public to see your professionalism and seriousness that you have towards acting. 

You also helped the team by giving a call to Blackpink’s Rose. Rose answered the call with “heyyy what’s up” which excited the members even more as they didn’t expect the both of you to use english as main form of communication. 

You were also good friends with Park Yuna who got famous from her role in Sky Castle and she also played the role of Bo young who is your sister in the drama with seon ho. Yuna was also an idol trainee previously which is why the both of you clicked so fast. 

The drama with Seo Kang Joon was a success too but of course both dramas did not do as well as Start-Up and Crash Landing but in your terms it was successful as people were talking about it and it was the more popular dramas among the rest that were airing as well. 

The chemistry between you and seon ho stood out even more as nobody really talked about seo kang joon and you having chemistry in that way. 

Very quickly, you were offered a movie role and the male lead they were offering it to kim seon ho again. This time, the storyline was less sad as it was about a man and woman who took a break from their current life and went to Jeju island as an escape, met and fell in love there. Seon ho’s character broke up with his long-term girlfriend while your character left her job after being there for 8 years. And the both of you met in Jeju. 

Many people were speculating if the both of you were dating, especially since dispatch released pictures of the both of you coming out of a convenience store together on your off days. And when your agency checked with you, you said no because technically seon ho has never officially asked you out. But somehow you felt a little bitter when you heard from your management that seon ho’s side has also denied the dating rumours. 

But netizens were quite supportive especially because the pictures taken were candid shots of how the both of you played with each other. Seon ho offered to hold your plastic bag but you lifted it like how you would lift dumbbells to joke with him that you didnt need his help and he was laughing so hard. Most comments that people have after seeing the pictures is that the both of you are so cute and pure. 

But because the pictures were exposed by dispatch, it made you and seon ho a little uncomfortable in front of public setting. Like the both of you had to attend the movie premiere and it was awkward to be standing together in front of the reporters and cameras as the both of you know that everyone in the room has seen the pictures and may or may not ask about your relationship status. You are not sure if it’s even more uncomfortable if they dont talk about the white elephant in the room. But the both of you were obviously less chummy that day, keeping a distance and avoiding eye contact as much as possible. Which led to people speculating that the rumours has caused you guys to break up. 

But you were still in contact with each other in private, just that you two did not meet in person since then. It was after few months that the both of you met again and it was at drama awards. It felt less uncomfortable and awkward maybe because the both of you were more overwhelmed by the excitement of seeing each other again after so long that you two didn’t really care whether people will ask if you guys are dating again. 

Another heart fluttering moment was when the mc asked if any of you felt something for the other person that you were acting alongside with, and the both of you raised your hands shyly and blushed when you both realised that both of you raised your hands. 

When seon ho went on stage to claim the best actor award, you stood up and clap proudly. And the mc jokingly asked since the both of you raised your hands just now, are you guys dating for real already? Seon ho laughed this time and said “don’t worry i will let you guys know if there’s good news” making everyone excited with his ambiguous answer and you could only laugh and facepalm in embarassment. 

Eventually, dispatch released articles of insider saying that 2 actors who have acted together recently in drama and movie are dating and it pointed to you and seon ho again. 

You talked to your agency, wondering if the best way is to deny it again because you know that couples that admit their relationship usually end up breaking up. And couples who stay together usually become less active or don’t have many projects up ahead. Plus seon ho’s career is at his peak now, he wouldn’t want to risk anything and he might not even have the time to keep this relationship going. 

But your management got the news that seon ho’s side is okay to admit to it if you are okay with it and that shocked you. You didn’t expect him to want to keep this relationship more than his career. But to seon ho, he doesn’t see how his career will go down just because of this. And his fame was a sudden one, he was never famous before that and he was okay with it. 

Your management was also quite relaxed about this. It seems that you are the only one thinking too much into this. Eventually you realised that it was all in your head. 

The next day all the news outlet were reporting - “BREAKING: Actor Kim Seon Ho and Y/N is in a relationship”.

Why Jodie is so hated in DC fandom? - Analysis of an underestimated character and clarification about wrong assumptions

Preliminary remark: this post is just a personal opinion. No intention to start wars of any kind, I respect everyone’s opionion so I want my opinion to be respected too. If you don’t share it, it’s totally ok as it’s totally ok if I don’t share yours.

During these last 5 years I’ve been back into DC fandom, I notice all around the web many people spreading hate towards Jodie (not only here on Tumblr but everywhere, especially in forums and social media pages). It’s ok to not like a character, but you need valid reasons to hate it. If you hate it for bullshit, then it’s only hate based on nothing. And this is what I see everytime I read a bad comment about Jodie’s character. This is really annoying for a fan, to be honest. Now I want to point out some of the most popular reason why Jodie is hated and analyze them (maybe I have already explained my point of view about them in some other posts in the last years, but I will clarify them again).

1) “Jodie has become useless, she’s no more interesting and mysterious as she was at the beginning” You (Jodie haters) really notice this change only in Jodie’s character? Because I can mention at least other 10 characters who, at their first appearance, were described as mysterious and cool and whatever else, but now are “lying on the shelf” for Gosho’s choise. Jodie has been introduced in a mysterious way becase she was suspected to be Vermouth, so Gosho created the suspance around her character and made her act in a shifty way to make the readers believe that she could be one of the BO members. Once it has been revealed that she wasn’t bad, there were no more need to make her act in a shifty way. Many other character who were suspected to be Bo members but in the end were not have shared the same fate. But it’s Gosho’s decision, not Jodie’s fault. It’s not something related to her way of being, it’s a choise of the author.  She has become usless? Ok, let’s face the reality: who is useful among the characters? A very few. Let’s take all the FBI Team: Gosho has painted them as a bunch of idiots that without Akai can’t do nothing. To make Akai “shine” he has denigrated Jodie, James and Camel. Camel doesn’t do nothing of his own, he always wait for Akai’s orders; James is supposed to be the chief but actually he does what Akai says; Jodie seems to make mistakes everytime she did something, even if she’s doing it in the right way. But again, it’s not their fault because we have seen them doing even very good things and being brilliant, so they have potential: it’s Gosho who decided to treat them like dumbs so Akai can be like a God who will save all of us. Don’t get me wrong, I love Akai, but I hate what Gosho is doing to put him in the spotligh. Again, it’s Gosho’s fault, not the characters who suddenly became usless and not interesting. The hate should be towards Gosho, not Jodie.

2) “After Akai’s death Jodie has become so annoying, she’s weak and she’s always crying” Ok...question for you Jodie haters: if you suddenly lose someone you love, what will be your reaction? Will you laugh as you were watching a sitcom, will you organize a big party with your friends or will you start throwing confetti in the air? Because if you do one if these 3 things, then...congratulations, you have won the highest award for the most cool /stone-harted/ heartless person in this world! You have no rivals, not even Shuichi Akai who is now jealous of you!  Seriously...if the man you love so much dies suddenly, it’s LEGITIMATE to cry, to be desperate, to lose yourself. It’s like losing a part of you. But despite feeling lost, Jodie has been the only one among the FBI who never believed to Akai’s death since the beginning and she fought long and hard to find out the truth behind his death. Since when on the TV they show the incident at Rahia Pass and they say a man was dead burned in his car, she immediately thought that it wasn’t Shuichi and that he had surely used a trick to escape. Guess what? She was right! Do you still think she’s stupid?  Jodie isn’t weak, she just faced an emotional breakdown due to the loss of a person she loved. This is being human, not being weak. Jodie isn’t always crying, she cried when everything and everyone around her was making her believe that Shuichi was really dead. At a certain point she stopped crying, when she saw hope, a hint that Shu was still alive. She isn’t a crybaby, she just needed hope. 

3) “Since Akai’s death, Jodie hasn’t done anything interesting or exciting, she has become boring” If you didn’t notice by yourself, then I will reveal you the biggest secret of all: after Akai’s death, or better to say after the end of Scarlet Arc when Jodie and Camel discovered about Shuichi being alive and hiding behind Subaru’s identity...FBI hasn’t appeared anymore in the manga for ages, since the last files which came our recently! How are they (included Jodie) supposed to do something exciting or interesting if they don’t even appear? Gosho put them in the closet with the naphthalene and he concentrated his attention on other characters (first of all Amuro, which in my opinion deserves more hate than Jodie because of his behaviour but somehow is adored as a God in the fandom).Then one day he get up and he had the big flash of genius: “FBI still exist in my story, so better take them out of the closet and make them do something”. But in the end, as always, only Akai did something relevant. Camel has been a puppet in the hand of Akai and Jodie made a mistake. So, again, it’s not Jodie who have changed and become a worst character, it’s how Gosho is painting her and the other FBI agents which makes them appear less interesting or capable at the eyes of the readers.

I will also add something that surely will unleash the wrath of somebody and maybe they will start complain, but I honestly don’t care because it’s nothing against someone in particular but just something I noticed. This is absolutely not an attempt to start a ship war nor a free criticism end in itself, because I reaspect everyone ship and opinion even if I don’t agree with that. The fact is that I noticed that often (not always of course, but often) these criticism about Jodie are moved by ShuKemi fans, and considering what I said above it seems that their hate for Jodie is just because Jodie was Akai’s girlfriend before Akemi and she has the possibility (if Gosho wants) to be his girlfriend again the future, not really because they analyzed Jodie’s character before spreading shit about it.  So I would like to point out to these ShuKemi fans who idolize Akemi’s character so much and tell shits about Jodie that Akemi sentenced herself to death with her own hands after making the worst and wrong choise she could have ever done in her life. I’ve seen many times Akemi being called “a hero” but chosing to death without obtaining nothing in return isn’t being a hero, it’s just being stupid in my opinion. Being a hero is another thing. You’re an hero if you sacrifice yourself with the goal to obtain something that worth your sacrifice, but if you sacrifice yourself knowing that you won’t obtain nothing apart from your death...well, that’s not being a hero at all. And before someone will say “You talk like this because you’re a ShuJodie fan”, please be aware that Akemi’s death has been shown before Jodie appearance and before knowing that Jodie had a relationship with Shu before he started dating Akemi, so I would have no reason to say these things just because of such trivial matters. The reason why I’ve never been touched by Akemi’s death since the beginning is because I think she has consciously chosen to die since the beginning of her “masterplan”. C’mon, how can you really think to make a deal with criminals? There’s a reason if they are criminals... She really thought that Gin would have kept his promise? If the answer is yes, then I’m sorry to say that but she’s stupid twice. So before saying that Jodie is the stupid one, at least analyze the things deeply and objectively. 

Now I know that this will make someone mad but I’m sorry, it’s what I think. And not because I see Akemi as a “threat” for Jodie’s relationship with Shuichi, as I always said I don’t need to spread shit on some character to covince myself and the other that my couple is better, I really don’t need this. I love my couple and stop, the rest doesn’t matter. If I don’t like a character, there’s always a deeper motivation behind, which has nothing to do with OTPs and trivial matters like that. But before saying I don’t like a character and draw up charges on it, I always analyze the character. I’m sorry that nobody do it with Jodie. 

Please also note that I used Akemi as example of character being idolized for no real reason because, as I said, I noticed that who talk shits about Jodie are often ShuKemi fans, but there are also other characters of course who are idolized when they actually have nothing to be idolized for. Another example is Amuro, I recently made a post about what I think of him.  Now if you don’t like what I think and what I said you are free to unfollow me, I’m sorry but I really needed to make this post because it has become more and more annoying to see nonsense unkindness things about Jodie.

When Yoongi approached Yeosu and asked her if she wanted to drink with him, she was confused. Despite being the same age, the two weren’t very close. Yes, they were friends (now that Yoongi got over not wanting her to join the group) but they’d never spent much time just the two of them outside of the group. Nevertheless, Yeosu agreed.

So that is where the two ‘93 liners are now. They’re not drunk but with a six pack of beer split evenly between them, they’ve got enough alcohol in their systems to speak more freely than they normally would.

Yeosu sets her third and final beer can down off to the side of the blanket she and Yoongi sit on. The part of Seoul where their dorm is located isn’t very busy at this time of night, but the far off sounds of the parts of the city that never sleep reach them where they are on the roof of their apartment building. Yoongi grabs Yeosu’s now empty can, twisting and crushing it down in a typical boyish manner.

Yeosu giggles, “Why do boys do that?”

“Why do girls go to the bathroom together?” he counters.

“Because it’s safer in numbers. You won’t be assaulted if you’re with someone else.”

Yoongi blinks, “Oh.”

“What’s your excuse?”

Yoongi looks down at the crushed can in his hands, “I just find it fun.”

Yeosu laughs at that and Yoongi joins her, the momentary solemn mood lifting. Yeosu lays back on the blanket. She looks up, eyes scanning the heavens.

“What are you looking at?” Yoongi asks, following her gaze upwards.

“The sky.”

“There are no stars.”

He’s right; the sky is starless due to light pollution. The moon continues to shine warmly down at her.

“No, but it’s interesting to look at.”

Yoongi looks down at her for a moment before laying down as well. They lay in opposite directions, heads beside one another.

“Have you ever really thought about it?” Yeosu asks.

“About what?”

“Space.”

“Kind of.”

“Like, it’s so big. It’s literally the biggest thing in the universe. In any universe. It doesn’t end it just goes on and on and on into infinity and never stops. It’s so unimaginably huge that humans can’t even begin to comprehend it’s size.”

Yoongi turns his head and looks at Yeosu. Her eyes remain looking upward.

“Lights of the city block out the stars but they’re still there, millions, billions, trillions of miles away. We can’t count the stars in the sky and there’s even more that are too far away to see. Space is almost entirely unexplored. There’s so much we don’t understand, so much we haven’t seen.”

She pauses and Yoongi takes a breath, “It’s kind of scary to think about.”

“That’s humanity’s biggest fear.”

“What is?”

Yeosu turns her head to look at Yoongi, “Fear of the unknown.”

Yoongi’s slightly buzzed mind isn’t quite ready to understand Yeosu’s introspective thoughts. He keeps eye contact with her a moment more before looking back up. After a short while, Yeosu looks back up as well. Regardless of his ability to comprehend what Yeosu has said, the idea of fear of the unknown sits in his mind.

“Are your parents supportive?” Yoongi asks her.

Yeosu doesn’t say anything, which is answer enough,

“Yeah, mine neither,” he says. “Money’s always been tight and having some son that wants to run off to Seoul and pursue music doesn’t exactly help. It could always go wrong. I know they love me but, like you said, they fear the unknown. I’ve always loved making music, though. I originally joined BigHit to be a producer.”

“You did? I didn’t know that about you,” Yeosu says.

“Yeah. But here I am. A week after debuting as an idol. This could end really good or really bad.”

“We’re all depending on it to be the first one.”

“Yeah. Hopefully, that’s what it will be.”

“Hopefully.”

They’re quiet for a few minutes, far off sounds of the city keeping them from laying in silence. Yoongi notices that the longer he looks up into the void of space above him, the more colors he can see among the predominant shade of deep navy blue. Hints of purple and pink mix in dark hues with the navy and black, just barely evading the spectrum of noticeability.

“My mom disowned me when I joined the company.”

Yoongi feels a lump rise in his throat, unsure of how to respond.

“She’s always been controlling. First with rhythmic gymnastics then with school. I always had to be the best and I never was but I tried my hardest. I wanted her to be proud of me but for her, my best wasn’t good enough. She sent me out here to go to high school and to train with a better coach and be closer to bigger competitions.

“I didn’t get a choice where I went to university. She was so mad when I chose education at my major. Told me I had to change it by second year. She wanted me to go into business like her. Didn’t want me to end up like me dad.

“They never married even after having me and they eventually broke up. He’d visit as much as she’d let him. He’s a painter. Kind and sensitive. Caring and selfless. I idolized him growing up and my mom hated it. She thought that because he wasn’t rolling in money and luxury that he’d failed at life. But he was happy. He cared for me more than she ever did, even though he couldn’t raise me.

“He’d come to my competitions when mom couldn’t be bothered. I’d always loved performing. I liked singing and dancing. A few times my friends told me I should audition for an agency but I was scared of my mom finding out, so I never did. First term of university, I was at a friend’s apartment. He was playing his guitar and I was singing.

“We were just messing around but I guess I could be heard through the open window and suddenly someone’s knocking at the door and giving me a business card. After nineteen years, I was just... done. I couldn’t keep living a life I hated. So I dropped out of university and went all in on training to be an idol. I got a nasty phone call from my mom and she cut me off entirely. No allowance, not contact, nothing.

“I got a job at a little restaurant so I could support myself. About a year later, the whole thing with you guys happened. I blame my dad, really. We’re both too nice for our own good. I almost gave up debuting because you all looked so upset about the prospect of having me join. I just hoped my time would come later on and you all could debut happily. Guess it worked out, though.”

“Wait. What?”

Yeosu is surprised as Yoongi finally speaks up, “What?”

“You said no to joining BTS the first time because you wanted us to be happy?”

“Uh, yeah.“

“Holy shit! What?”

Yoongi sits up and Yeosu holds back a laugh as he looks as though he’s working through an earth shattering realization. She sits up as well.

“Did you really not pick up on that?” she asks.

“None of us did. I’m, like, reeling right now.”

Yeosu can’t help but laugh now, “Why do you think I was so quick to agree to join you when you all approached me? I wanted to debut but figured you all would be happier without me in your midst. When you all seemed willing to have me, that’s when I agreed.”

Yoongi looks at Yeosu with sudden seriousness, “You’re... truly selfless, you know that?”

Yeosu scoffs, “Please, that makes me sound like some kind of hero. I think I’m just pretty content and want other people to be happy, too.”

Yeosu stands and they clean up what they’d brought with them up to the roof. On the way down the stairs to their floor, Yeosu speaks up again.

“Tonight was nice,” she says.

“Yeah. I don’t know why I was so hesitant about you joining. You’re pretty cool.”

Yeosu can’t help but giggle at his weak attempt at a compliment, “Were you, perhaps, intimidated by me?”

“Yeah, right. I could rap circles around you.”

“And I could dance and sing circles around you. Bring it.”

They laugh and exit the stairwell, continuing down the hallway to their dorm. Yoongi pulls out his keys to unlock the door.

Before they enter, Yeosu says, “Seriously, though. Thanks for listening to my tragic backstory up there.”

Yoongi pushes the door open and sends her a smile over his shoulder, “What’s a selfless hero without a tragic backstory?”

Deal with the Devil

(Marillion AU)

This is a part shortly after “The collector”. Since this is more of a loose AU than a coherent fic, I’ve decided that I don’t need to write in chronological order.

“Good. It seems like you decided to follow my invitation.”

She whirled around, cane at the ready and her free hand raised to summon a butterfly if necessary. Thanks to Nooroo’s affinity to moths, her eyes could see even in the darkest night and she recognized the figure approaching her immediately.

“Gabriel Agreste?”

This is it, Marillion thought, I’ve officially gone mad.

Not only did she follow a mysterious invitation to this godforsaken place in the middle of the night, now she was already hallucinating. Everybody knew that Gabriel Agreste never left his home. Why would he abandon his fortress of solitude for Paris' Number One Enemy?

“I apologize for the secrecy.”, he answered unperturbed. “Surely you understand how unfortunate it would be to be seen in public. People of our... standing would certainly attract too much attention.”

That was when it really hit her. She wasn’t hallucinating. She was here. With Gabriel Agreste. Her greatest idol. Father of her crush. And she didn’t even have her portfolio with her.

“Monsieur Agreste!”, she repeated, all but squealed. “What- I didn’t expect- Why are you-“

He raised a hand and her mouth snapped shut. God, she hadn’t even been here for a minute and was already embarrassing herself.

“You must have many questions, Mademoiselle Marillion – as do I. If you don’t mind, I would prefer to continue this conversation somewhere... safer.”

He turned around and glanced back at her.

“We wouldn’t want your spotted little friend to cause us any trouble, now, would we?”

She hurried to nod and stumbled after him, through what looked like a secret door in the garden wall of the Agreste Mansion. Under normal circumstances she would have paid that detail a little more attention – who the hell had a secret door in their backyard?! – but these weren’t normal circumstances. She was being invited into the home of her idols. By Gabriel. Freaking. Agreste.

Who cared about some weird gimmicks?

“Monsieur,” she finally managed to regain her voice. “I’m afraid I still don’t understand- not that I’m not honored by your invitation, I really am! But... well, most people agree that I am a threat. Why would you want to meet me?”

The fashion designer didn’t slow his steps and she almost had to run to keep up.

“Most people,” he rebuked distantly, “don’t pay as much attention as I do. And I did not come this far by caving to what 'most people' think.”

She mentally kicked herself.

“O-of course, Monsieur. I’d didn’t mean to imply- Wait.”

She froze and Agreste reluctantly came to a stop as well.

“Does that mean you... you believe me?”

If it weren’t so dark, her eyes would be shining with hope.

“You believe that I’m one of the good guys?”

“No.”, he said coldly, crushing her hopes and dreams in an instant. But before she could excuse herself to wallow in self pity – or cry – his expression softened and he placed his palm on the wall in front of him. A line of green light ran over his hand print and a mechanism beeped in confirmation, then the wall slid open to reveal another secret door.

“I believe that you are the hero.”, he finished and stepped aside. “After you.”

Awestruck she followed his command and entered the lair. Because that’s what it was: a lair. The most glorious lair she’d ever seen.

A huge, circular window allowed the moonlight to flood the room, it’s butterfly-shaped inlay casting shadows on the floor. Which was almost invisible from the amount of white butterflies resting on the ground, slowly fluttering their wings as they reacted to her presence.

“This place used to be an observatory.”, Agreste explained as he followed after her. “My late wife's favorite hideout. We are directly at the center of the twenty-first Arrondissement; which means your akumas can easily reach every corner of the area. The security measures are state-of-the-art and will deter any intruder, whether they are merely civilian or another miraculous wielder.”

She couldn’t listen properly, too busy gaping at the room. Agreste talked on, undeterred by her lack of manners.

“The window will be covered by a rocket-proof shutter most of the time, as not to alert anyone of its... rather obvious design. But I couldn’t resist to add it either way. Just in case that one day, after you have defeated Ladybird, you won’t have to hide your symbol anymore.”

This was all... too much. She couldn’t possibly keep up with everything.

“I-I'm sorry,” she stammered out, “Monsieur Agreste, what is this supposed to mean?”

He smiled at her. The cold, stoic Gabriel Agreste, who rarely even showed affection to his own son, smiled at her. With a fatherly touch of her shoulder, he turned her towards the window.

“It means,” he said softly, “that all this is yours – built just for you, to let you reach your full potential. If you chose to accept my help, that is.”

Impossible. Utterly and completely impossible. Marinette Dupain-Cheng could never ever possibly be this lucky.

Thank you, she wanted to say, thank you a thousand times. I am honored.

“Why?”, was what came out of her mouth instead. Quite rudely, for such a miraculously generous offer.

Agreste stepped around her and in front of the window.

“Because you have inspired me, Mademoiselle. There are far too little people who would risk the animosity of an entire city, even for the most noble cause. You and me, we are the same in that.”

She had to suppress a squeal. Gabriel Agreste really thought so highly of her?!

“We would do everything, risk everything to do the right thing. To help the people we love.”

He looked into the distance, his expression hardening.

“But there will always be others who cannot understand this. Like Ladybird and Chat Noir, who never look beyond their own, selfish desires.”

A grim, gleeful relief flooded her. He got it. He wasn’t blinded by Ladybird's fame, he could see through it. Finally, finally, someone truly saw things her way.

“They just don’t listen!”, she raged, feeling like a weight had fallen off her chest. “They act like- like I'm some kind of terrorist! I am helping people! They only ever get in my way, but they get to call themselves heroes? If it weren’t for me, they would have torn Paris to pieces in their arrogance! They're so incompetent it physically pains me.”

“No one knows that better than me.”, Agreste agreed with a nod. “And I do not presume to understand just how tiresome that must be for you. But maybe you should consider that there is more to them than incompetence.”

She visibly deflated.

“More...?”

His face was grim when he turned to her.

“Ladybird and Chat Noir,” he said seriously, “are dangerous.”

Huh?

“Think about it.”, he implored, eyes blazing with an eager determination. “They wield the most powerful artifacts in human history. They have the support of a guardian, maybe even his entire order. And once he begins training them, they will have nearly unlimited backup.”

He put his hands on her shoulder, almost apologetically. As if placing a heavy burden on them.

“You have seen how they wield their powers yourself. Who knows what will happen once they have even more? Nobody knows their true goals, after all. You aren’t hurting anybody, so what are they really trying to accomplish?”

He shook his head.

“Right now, the only thing standing between Paris and the mayhem they will cause... is you.”

Marillion almost thought he was being overly dramatic, but then thought of everything else he had said. Agreste knew so much already, had gotten so much right no one had even bothered to think about before. If he was this confident, then by all means, he had to be right.

“Monsieur, I am... I am incredibly happy that you believe in me.”, she finally managed to get her feelings out. “And all this is just- it’s incredible. Thank you.”

It had been her and Nooroo, all this time, and while they made a great team, they were both... helpless from time to time. Not sure of their decisions, their abilities. And while she would never risk Nooroo's safety, she... she just really wanted an adult to talk to. Someone who could tell her what to do, with all this mess. She was just fourteen, for gods sake!

How often had she agonized about not being able to talk to her parents? How often had she been forced to lie to them, the people she trusted most? The people who always had her back, who only ever wanted to support her?

She swallowed.

How often had she had endure their fear? Of Marillion, of her? The people she loved the most were scared of her Alter Ego, didn’t understand her, couldn’t help her.

But now Gabriel Agreste – her idol, her role model! – offered her his unconditional trust and support. Told her she inspired him!

“I'm just- I don’t have anybody.”, she tried to put her feelings into words. “Ladybird and Chat Noir have each other, and their guardian, and the hearts of every Parisian. And I try so hard to get things right, be there for everybody, but I have no idea what I’m doing most of the time. To know that you think me to... to be all these great things, that you built all this” – she gestured around the room – “for me... it means so much to me.”

He smiled.

“You won't have to carry this burden on your own anymore. My means and knowledge are at your disposal, and you will find that I am a very reliable ally. I will help you figure out how to defeat them – and how to contain their miraculous, afterwards.”

Marillion blinked. She'd never... thought that far ahead.

“To contain their miraculous'?”

“Of course. We don’t want them to fall into the wrong hands, do we?”

Hastily, she nodded. Of course not! She felt stupid for not even having thought of what came afterwards.

“Or to let the guardian reclaim them.”, she added, mostly because she didn’t want Agreste to think she was an idiot. “He'd only reseal their Kwamis and try again, with a new enemy.”

A secretive smile crept on Monsieur Agreste's face – who would have thought he could smile that often?

“Naturally. But you should know that I am prepared for any eventuality.”

He reached for his tablet and showed her the display. It showed...

“Miraculous'!”, she gasped. Pages and pages full of Miraculous', and their respective heroes. There were words written next to them, a script that was more code than language.

“What is this?”

“A book. An encyclopedia of Heroes, containing all their strengths and weaknesses. Not to forget the guides to create potions and spells. The knowledge it provides can give you a variety of new abilities, or significantly weaken your opponents.”

He shut off the device and turned away.

“It used to be mine. But somehow, Ladybird and Chat Noir managed to steal it from me. There is no doubt that they are preparing something nefarious to use against you.”

The knowledge that something like this book existed, and was currently in the hands of her enemies, settled in her guts like a stone.

“Don’t be afraid.”, Agreste assured her quickly. “By the time they are successful, we will have found a way to counter them. With me at your side, you have nothing to fear.”

She looked up at him. In awe of his confidence, she allowed herself to voice the question that had nagged at her since the moment he had begun sharing his knowledge.

“How... do you know all this? About the book, the miraculous.”

He hadn’t even blinked when she had mentioned Kwamis. Obviously, he knew even more than he let on.

“Are you... are you a guardian?”

He looked back at her over his shoulder.

“Of course not,” he scoffed and she shrunk in on herself. “Or I would have found the miraculous ages ago!”

He noticed her embarrassment and immediately softened his features.

“I am merely someone with great interest in all magical knowledge. A scholar, so to speak.”

With a grim smile, he offered her his hand.

“And there is much I could learn from you. Almost as much as I could teach you. Are you ready to grow into the most powerful heroine there is, Marillion?”

She didn’t have to think about it. Ladybird won’t know what hit her.

“It will be my honor.”

That night, Marillion gained a secret base and a secretive ally.

And Gabriel Agreste, at last, regained control over the butterfly.

After hours of contemplating if I should go to Jaemin’s Party in celebration for his drama debut. I am now inside my car driving on the way to his condo. Jaemin has been my friend as for long as I can remember, we basically grew up together. We have been neighbors since childhood. Thus we share a lot of things together; we went to the same school, grade school onwards, and to this day, we still keep in touch. We make sure to meet at least once a month. I can proudly say that even after his debut, our friendship never changed. We would still catch up from time to time, send random memes, call each other and such.

I was contemplating on going to his party, simply because I didn’t think I’d fit in his world. I’m just a normal person after all, a nobody. I’m pretty sure his ‘small’ party won’t be that small with all the big celebrities attending it. I knew his fellow band members, several actresses and actors who would be working with him would probably be there too. See I, a mere citizen, just don’t simply fit in. But of course, how could I say no to my best friend? He was being really persistent, begging me to be there. In his exact words he says, “Please y/n go I want my best friend to see and meet my new friends! Besides, they want to meet you too.” I just couldn’t say no.

He told me his new drama will be a romantic one, as he will be partnered with a fellow actress of his. I don’t know why but when he told me that, there were tingling feelings inside my stomach. No, actually- let’s be real. I was probably jealous. I knew for a fact that I have been denying my feelings for Jaemin. I think it all started when we were in high school, but they were just part of adolescence, I guess? In high school he started to bloom into a newer and matured man, handsome as ever, no longer the same childhood neighbor I grew to know. The way he helps other people and takes care of the littlest things is maybe the thing that attracted me the most.  I didn’t want to ruin the comfortable friendship we already have, so as much as possible I keep on brushing away the thought that I am attracted to him. Most especially at this time, he is way out of my league.  I do not know why out of all people he, Na Jaemin, a successful idol, soon to be an actor, my best friend, is the one my heart chose to fall for. I know for a fact that he won’t be available to catch me if I fall for him, well actually I already did. Who am I for him to choose right? I meant he can be with the most beautiful actresses and idol stars out there why would he choose me right. In order to not hurt myself more as much as possible, I ignore and brush off the fact that I like him.

Finally, I arrived at his condo. That was the longest thirty minutes ride I have ever driven. 13th-floor room 1308, alright I am in front of the door and the loud music can be already heard. I ring the doorbell, as it opens it revealed Jaemin, arms open, happy to see you. “Y/n!!!!! You came! Are those tiramisu??? My fave thank you Y/N! Come inside I’ll introduce you to my members. GUYS Y/N is here!!!” Jaemin welcomed me with a hug and grabbed my gift for him. I replied to him with a smile. I don’t think my nervousness was hidden tho. I don’t know if I’m nervous to meet his colleagues or because I am once again seeing him.

“OH if it is not the famous Y/n.” A guy named Heachan one of his members said. I chuckled at his remark and shook his hand that he offered me. “You know what Y/n Jaemin always tells us about you” Renjun, another one of his members, said as he also welcomes me. “Oh really what does he usually say about me?” I replied “he was telling us how much he l-” Renjun was cut off by Jaemin’s hand. “I was telling them how we were always out playing during our childhood days and how I always defeat you when we play kart rider” Jaemin interrupts Renjun. “From what I remember you always lose when we play” I replied and everyone in the circle laughed.

It was indeed just a small party his members were there, some of his managers, and some of the cast of his upcoming drama. I actually had a good time. His members keep on asking me questions about how Jaemin was during his younger days. I told them stories where Jaemin once cried because of whisker’s away, and that he had a pet chick and rabbit once. It felt good talking and hearing stories from them. His colleagues were simple just like him I didn’t feel the gap we had when I was conversing with them. Jaemin’s partner for his upcoming drama was indeed very pretty, again my thoughts of being with him just suck, even more, I really need to move on. But don’t get me wrong she was really kind and single…

The time had been moving by quickly as the night became darker, the hours becoming more late. Some of his guests already left. I wanted to leave early since i still have duty the next day, but he asked me to stay and help him clean. Now I know why he really wanted me to go. Some of his members are still here tho specifically the ones in his same age, Haechan, Renjun, And Jeno. While Jaemin and Haecha sent off and accompanied some of the guests to the lobby Jeno, Renjun, and I started to clean around the room. “You know what y/n were happy to finally meet you,” Jeno said “yeah Jaemin really treasures you as his friend you know he won’t shut up about you” Renjun added. I chuckled at their remarks “His life was probably boring he didn’t have any stories to tell besides mentioning me hahaha”. “You and Jaemin seem to be really close huh?” Jeno asked and I responded with a nod as a wipe down the counter table. “Jaemin never dated girls during his highschool years right?” Renjun asked maybe out of his curiosity. “He was scared of girls and too lanky to get one back in the days haha” I replied “oh yeah he was really lanky when he started training I remember hahaha, but you know what y/n, you and Jaemin actually look good together,” Jeno said “actually! You both had the chemistry” Renjun added. I just smiled at their remarks not wanting to get my hopes up. Jaemin never really showed interest in me so I guess he just really saw me as his friend.

The doorbell suddenly rang. Renjun went to get the door. “Where is Haechan?” I heard Renjun ask. “He didn’t want to clean up so he will just wait for you guys at the parking,” Jaemin said as he approached the vacuum to help us clean. “That b*tch” Jeno remarked. “I guess you two can finish that we’ll be off now bye Jaemin congrats again on your drama! Also bye Y/N nice meeting you!” Renjun hurriedly said while dragging Jeno out of the door. “Hey hey hey you two promised to help me clean!!” Jaemin said but he was cut off by the door Jeno closed. “It’s okay Jaemin this won’t take long anymore they did a lot anyways” I told him as I continue to pack the food that was left.

After a few minutes, we finally cleaned up everything. Tired and exhausted we both slammed down on the couch and let a heavy sigh. “Y/n.” called me out and I responded with a hum resting my head on the couch facing the ceiling. “Thank you for coming I know you really didn’t want to” he said I turned my head to face him “of course and because of that you owe me” i kiddingly replied.  It was quiet but the atmosphere was relaxing, most of the time me and Jaemin are like this, just enjoying the presence of each other. It wasn’t awkward or anything were used to being like this around each other. “Y/n I need to tell you something” Jaemin suddenly said and sat upright. He always tells me random stuff but there is seriousness in his tone which made me nervous. I faced him and gave him a ‘what’ look as my reply. He took a deep breathe and met my eyes “i like you, y/n… for the longest time i have always liked you. No, actually I think I already love you” I couldn’t believe what I am hearing from jaemin after all these years we actually like each other??? I was speechless at the moment I did not know what to respond, my brain was having a hard time processing the information I just got. “Did i shock you? I am sorry for the sudden confession. I do understand if you dont feel the same way-” I cut him off and asked “are you practicing your lines for your upcoming drama? You sound pretty convincing nice one Jaem!!!” I chuckled and laughed out my nervousness I had to make sure he wasn’t just kidding me. “y/n dumbass I actually like you. I am not practicing some lines with you omygosh you really are my best friend. But kidding aside y/n I truly like you I, I love you y/n” I can see in his eyes that he is really genuine with his words. “No were both dumbasses, I liked you ever since we were in high school Jaem” I noticed his eyes grew when he heard this “I didn’t want to tell you since I didn’t want to break the friendship we had” I added. “Me too! I guess we were both cowards huh? But I couldn’t keep these feelings anymore I had to let them out that’s why I’m telling this to you right now” he says while locking his eyes with mine. He slowly cups my cheeks with his slender hands “I never dared to try and date anyone because I knew that I only wanted you, y/n”. I could say that the tension was rising he closed the gap between us. He wasn’t my first kiss but as if its my first kiss heat grew and butterflies on my stomach became wild. I kissed him back and as if we were dancing our lips were so in sync. I reached for the back of his head and placed my fingers between his hair.

I don’t know how I got to this but today was a rollercoaster. I could not believe the thing that I was most worried about earlier this morning would be my greatest dream. I am happy to say that me and my long time crush are in love with each other.
