Guessing NCT's rising signs: Huang Renjun as a Cancer rising

Welcome to my first post where I write all about why I think this idol is X rising sign! I don't know how many of these I'll do because it heavily depends on how confident I feel in my guess of their rising lol for Renjun's rising sign, it's something I've been sitting on for a loooong time just to see if anything else comes into my head. At the end of the day we really have no way to know for sure, even if the idols gives us their birth time it still has to be taken with a grain of salt! But it’s still fun theorize and to test your skills while learning at the same time. So for now I feel pretty confident sharing my thoughts on Renjun as a cancer rising.

✦ Before I even decided to look up his chart layout, there were 2 characteristics of Renjun that initially led me to think he’s a Cancer rising. His eyes and his physique. His eyes aren’t necessarily as big as idols we’ve seen with moon in 1st, but they’re still very notable features of his physical appearance that he’s very well known for. They’re bigger, soft and dreamy, and sometimes look like he quite literally holds stars in his eyes. The biggest physical feature though is his, well, petite frame. Next to his eyes, renjun is also really well know for his smaller build. It’s even a well known inside joke amongst NCT, they all him “big shoulders renjun” (lol) because “for a guy” his shoulders a on the smaller side. Both of these physical attributes can also be identifying characteristics of cancer risings.

✦ So, in general I think he is a Cancer rising. But if we want to be more specific; I do think he is a 3rd decan Cancer rising which is the Pisces/Neptune ruled decan. I initially chose this because his house and planet placements just make so much more sense to me when the rising is in the 3rd decan (I'll get into that below), but after reading about the 3rd decan I also think it fits his personality really well! With the Neptune and Pisces influence, he's more on the open side of Cancer rising but more notably, 3rd decans are a lot more inclined to art/creativity and sometimes, music specifically. These people also have a very dreamy attraction about them. He also has his Venus trine ASC which can further add to this kind of creative vibe he gives off, but is also drawn to! It emphasizes the importance of aesthetics, art and creativity in his life. If you've never been on Renjun stan twt then you might not know that a lot of his fans see him as this incredibly dreamy and ethereal boy (as they should) and I can see why!

Scorpio moon, Sagittarius Pluto in 5th:

✦ yea... just yes. Okay but actually, if you read my NCT Dream Hexaco x Birth Chart analyses, I talked a lot about his chart already because I really like it. As someone with a Scorpio moon, I can't help but be really interested in how his plays out. And I have to say, I am quite attached to this theory because I think his scorpio moon in 5th just. makes. sense. I'm not going to go much into the descriptions of the placements, I'm mostly going to stick to the house influence. We know that Scorpio moons have really intense emotions, they internalize everything and are just highly sensitive people to their environments. Renjun has been incredibly open about his mental and emotional struggles ever since being a kid. I've honestly never heard an idol talk about their struggle like he has. He even opened up recently about how a few years ago he had an art therapist that really helped him and lowkey changed his life. I feel like a lot of this can be reflected in his 5th house. The house of creativity, expression, creation. His 5th cusp is also in Scorpio. 5th house in water tend to be really drawn to arts and music. Having a Scorpio moon, a moon sign that can be quite guarded, in a fire house can also explain his readiness/openness to share his emotions and art. Also let's not forget his chart ruler is his Scorpio moon in 5th! What I've wrote above are big themes in his life, which we've seen.

✦ As for the Pluto in 5th. Because his 5th house is in Scorpio this would mean the 5th ruler is in 5th. I know it might not make sense at first because it's pluto and pluto is misunderstood. But it makes perfect sense to me. Pluto in 5th is a deeply passionate and creative placement. It bring so much energy to this house, and can even create a borderline obsession with themes of this house. With creating and expressing. But I could also see having this and his scorpio moon in this house bringing so much energy, it just kind of adds to the confusion and intensity of a scorpio moons emotions and processing abilities, like, emotionally overwhelming. Scorpio moons always need an outlet and they usually figure that out the hard way at some point in life. The outlet can vary based off the chart, his is without a doubt connected to his art; whatever that may be to him.

Aquarius Uranus in 8th:

✦ This part is brief because it's more of like, additional details to what's already in his chart. Something that is really well known about Renjun too is how much he is into space and aliens and stuff like that. He, once again, has been very open about it lol on variety shows I've seen him light up every time its briefly mentioned and he'll comment on how much he finds that stuff interesting. The 8th house is weird, it can manifest in a lot of different ways. The biggest point here for me is that the house is in Aquarius with Uranus here. I know someone with this placement too and, while they're open minded to astrology and tarot etc. it's a bit more focused on logic. I can't say for sure because I don't know him, but he kind of strikes me as the kind of person that would fight to death over aliens existing, but draws the line at astrology lol. I actually do think he would be open to astrology and tarot, but he'd need the right introduction to it. Anyways, yea this placement to me explains a lot of his interest in space and things we don't understand. He's expressed his curiosity in it. I think a lot of this is coming from his Scorpio moon and Pisces mercury/venus which is why I think it's just additional support.

Pisces Mercury/Venus in 9th:

✦ THIS HOUSE right here... so much to say. Firstly, Pisces in 9th is probably one of the main culprits for his creativity, deep thinking and curiosity in the world. And more importantly: his imagination. I've mentioned this a lot when I talk about renjun but, he's very well known for his creativity, but I want to make it clear that there is a distinction between creation and imagination. His imagination is truly... on another level. Well, planet actually since it's pisces! Again, amongst fans it's really well known his imagination is just so unqiue. This is less about the 9th house and more about the fact that he has 2 pisces placements but it still affects it lol. He's very open about his imagination and speaks about it so naturally. He shared his drawing of a bird, hybrid, thing? and how it's an animal that steals your dreams in your sleep. Anyways, Pisces in 9th aren't necessarily the travelers we'd see with an air or fire sign here, but they like to travel mentally. He's also talked about how he's just in general a very curious person and you can tell his thoughts probably travel far and wide in his down time.

✦ What's really interesting to me about this house is his mercury is here and Mercury in 9th is a very specific kind of placement. It almost always guarantees an interest and talent in learning languages. I don't know if languages are necessarily a passion for him but he definitely is interested and cares about learning language and other cultures. He also did pick up on Korean and English with ease. Which also reminds me that, he actually was exposed to Korean at a young age because I'm pretty sure he went to a bilingual school (chinese and korean). This is also a big deal to me because planets in 9th, especially sun/mercury often indicate very early exposure to languages or other cultures... so yea that checks out. This can also be proved by looking at his IC in Virgo, which puts the ruler in 9th. His mercury is also sextile Jupiter. I also wanna comment that he has his Mercury in the 5th degree, I'm not great at degree theory yet but that feels significant to me. Of course we cannot forget his absolutely angelic voice. Renjun is also very well known for his stunning vocals. Not only are Pisces placements musically inclined but Pisces mercury are known for their sweet voices.

✦ As for the venus is 9th, I feel like I have more to say on his venus being in Pisces because that's where so much of his artistic creativity and imagination come from. But venus here adds to a lot of what I've written above, adding to his curiosity of the world. What I find most interesting about venus in 9th though, is it brings another inclination to art! He might really like art from different places in the world, or just exploring all types of art being very open minded to its different forms etc. Venus here also brings ease to language learning, and these people will naturally have other cultures and people from them as a big part of their life. I feel like, in general it's not surprising at all to me that as a foreign member (being from China), that he would have 9th house influence! It can often manifest as like.., travel, other languages, cultures and parts of the world etc. are just very naturally a part of their life. Some people never really contemplate life overseas or in another country. But for 9th housers, it's never not been an option. His 9th house influence can also make him a great teacher, mentor and just overall supportive person. We've seen some of this in the content he's made with NCT. Like trying to teach his members chinese with Chenle, except he was taking it way more seriously lol but was so supportive. He's also tried to get Jeno and Jisung involved in his art making, but keeping the process very open and fun.

Aries sun, Taurus mars in 10th:

✦ This is the last part I'm going to cover because it is really just the icing on the cake to finish this up. The 10th house is considered pretty important when looking at celebrities/idols because it's very likely a lot of what we see from them is their 10th house influence. In the chart model I'm using for Renjun, it puts his MC in the very last degrees of Pisces, so there's a chance it's in Aries but either way with his sun and mars here they are still playing a big role. So for that reason, I'm opting for Pisces MC. I also think Pisces MC fits though because first it puts the ruler in his 7th house. Meaning he could really benefit and work well in something that involves a group! Because it's Pisces in Neptune, it also adds to his very ethereal vibe and how people just seem to love him wherever he goes. He's very magnetic and can come off as artistic and sensitive. He's known for being dreamy, unreal, artistic, sensitive.

✦ Again, we know he has an aries sun and taurus mars so I'm not going to explain them here, just how they affect the house, but having his these here makes so much sense to me too. Having planets in 10th also influences what kind of "vibe" people get from you, and what you're "known" for. Mars and Sun bring similar energy of being well known for for energy, drive, and even stage presence. Not being afraid to be on stage, being good with attention and spotlight. He's known for his kind of playful and childish behavior at times. He is charismatic, bold, brave, happy and upbeat. With the sun, he is again known for his creativity and creations and also self-expression.

𓆩♡𓆪 breaking up with nct dream 𓆩♡𓆪

Warnings: the dreamies sound like assholes, a lot of angst

Notes: reminder that this a work of fiction and i don't know the dreamies personally, this is NOT an accurate representation of them. tmi but i was recently broken up with so, some of these are inspired by personal experience...sadly :") either ways i hope you all enjoy this piece of angst, i've been working on some of the requests even though i might not write them all :( but thank you so much for sending them in & for your kind words too hehe!!

𔘓 Mark

It was a pivotal point in his life, his career was taking flight and he had to make a decision. It was his fault really, for taking on so many responsibilities. He simply had too much on his plate, call him greedy but he refused to let go of anything that could help him achieve his dreams. The easiest thing he felt he could let go of at this time of his life was you. He still likes you very much but it wouldn’t be fair to you if he had no time to spend with you once he gets so busy. “I’m sorry but I can’t let this opportunity slip past me. I think it’ll be unfair to make you wait on me while I’m busy doing everything else. I don’t have the time to be with you right now, I’m so so sorry.” To him, you deserve better than what little he could give you, so he did what he thought was the right thing and let you go. (tldr: he chose his work over you)

𔘓 Renjun

Things were slowing down and not in a good way. It was not the comfortable silence that used to embrace you two. Your conversations got more and more dry and it never used to be a problem, but now it only made Renjun feel weird and awkward. This was not the relationship he wanted to be in anymore. Over the last few weeks of your relationship, he intentionally drew more distance, choosing to hang out with his friend than with you at home. He hopes this only helps with the aftermath of everything. He cooks you a simple dinner a week after the end of your finals and tells you that “this is where i think we end, i’m so sorry y/n”. Within three days, he packs his things and leaves your shared apartment. (tldr: he lost interest in you)

𔘓 Jeno

“I’m so tired of fighting y/n, I don’t think I can do this anymore”. Jeno couldn’t figure out why the two of you have been fighting so much. It wasn’t like this all the time, to be honest, the two of you rarely fought in the years you were together. He always wondered if that was a problem in itself. The two of you had drastically different fighting styles, too different. Jeno would want to calm down before talking things out, afraid he would say the wrong things. You on the other hand always had to deal with the problem immediately. So it led to argument after argument and at the start Jeno always thought that things would get better after each fight. Every hurdle crossed will only bring you two closer, no? But even he could tell that the both of you were tired of fighting. You were both sick of fighting each other and have long already stopped fighting for the relationship. (tldr: the fighting is getting too much and nothing is improving)

𔘓 Haechan

He should have seen it coming. The way he subconsciously compares you to his ex-partner. The things you did better, the way you reacted better. Even the areas where you don’t seem to match up, which leaves the void in his heart empty. He got together with you just a few months after his previous break up. And he was confident that he was over his ex, only to realise almost a year into his relationship with you that he wasn’t. What was he supposed to tell you? How was he supposed to tell you the truth and expect you not to go absolutely feral? “I really really like you y/n, you’re a sweet girl. But I… I’ve realised that I’ve never gotten time to myself to fully get over my previous relationship and now, I just can’t go on being with you. It’s just… the love, it’s not there”. He never really loved you and it pained him to tell you like that. To see your face drop, then harden, trying your best not to let the tears fall. (tldr: he never loved you because he still isn’t over his ex)

𔘓 Jaemin

He thinks you’re great and you might just be everything he wants in a life partner. The problem was, he doesn’t want a life partner, at least not right now. Unlike him, you clearly want to settle down. Not even in an obsessive way where you’re urging him to get a house or anything. You’ve just made your intentions clear. And Jaemin admits to himself that at this point, he’s just being a dick. Because he knows that he hasn’t reached that point in his life where he’s ready to settle with just one person for life. He can bet on his whole life that you were going to be the best wife and that he might regret this decision when he’s older but not right now. The longer he’s with you, the more trapped he feels and he just wants to be free. Free to do whatever he wants, wherever he wants, maybe even whoever he wants without having to think of having to limit himself because he needs to settle down. (tldr: he has commitment issues)

𔘓 Chenle

“I told you before y/n, I'm not a good person. I’m selfish, I just can’t find it in me to be as selfless as you”. Chenle told you when you started getting to know each other that you were the most selfless person he has ever met. He meant it as a compliment, really. But now, when you expect the same treatment back, he realises that he can’t do it. His love language is just different, and truthfully, he thinks more for himself than he does for you. Now, your selflessness is a factor that pulls the two of you apart. He can’t match up to you nor your expectations. And you simply can’t understand why. When someone tells you that they are not a good person, remember to listen. Chenle knew himself best, he knew that his views were too realistic and practical and self-centred. He doesn't think you're a good fit for each other anymore. (tldr: he can’t meet your expectations because he doesn’t want to)

𔘓 Jisung

The both of you were terribly emotional people. And it clearly hasn’t been healthy for your relationship. You’re both sensitive and avoidant. So when you’re upset with each other, you could go days without talking. Which only leads to more miscommunications and misunderstandings. The two of you are just way too alike. “Forget it, I don’t even want to talk about it anymore. You’re seriously the most annoying person ever,” you would spout out when you’re ready to brush this fight under the carpet again, giving it a few days before things go back to normal. It’s a vicious cycle at this point. But Jisung only replies with, “No, forget it. I want to break up”. After a few days, Jisung regrets even mentioning breaking up. But you can’t take back words like that. The damage is done, hearts have been broken, tears shed. And for the two of you there is simply no going back and maybe it is all the better that way. (tldr: the two of you are overly sensitive and can’t communicate to save your lives)

Aria at Award Shows

Iconic Outfits

2020 AAAs NCT Daesang Award

Peoples’ jaws dropped when they saw Aria sidle up alongside the other 23 boys, strolling out like she owned the building. The heels gave her enough height to be nearly level with Renjun - something she wouldn’t let the boy forget - her hair dyed back to a natural black like it had been during NCT2020 promotions. It was rare that Aria didn’t look slightly apprehensive about stepping out onto a red carpet, but the confidence was rolling off her in waves. As she walked, the slit in the dress seemed to keep on going, trailing up her leg and changing the otherwise classy dress into something that left the innocent bystanders in the first row suffering from a high chance of a heart attack.

tldr; Aria’s hot and people are Noticing.

2019 Show Champion NCT 127 ‘Superhuman’

NCT’s second win with Superhuman left a huge divide in nctzens; a rift between those who were ot21 stans and ot22 stans (sans and plus Aria). Up until then, there had been rumors around whether Aria was to leave NCT now that there was a new girl group supposedly debuting under SM. Their management team had refrained from publishing a response - but that only lead fans to create their own speculations and theories. This outfit played perfectly into the growing rumor; with the large circular pendant on Aria’s bracelet having two chrysanthemums etched into the gold. The flower symbolized happy endings and goodbyes, with nctzens taking this as the proof that Aria was truly set to leave NCT in the coming months.

tldr; nctzens need to learn how to Chill.

2017 M! Countdown NCT 127 ‘Cherry Bomb’

Unfortunately, this era was the cause of a lot of strife for Arizens; the stylists either hit it out of the park and Aria was drop dead stunning - or she ended up looking a little like a bratz doll a toddler had gotten their hands on. Unfortunately for Aria, their first win with ‘Cherry Bomb’ left pictures of her in a plastic, obviously dyed blue skirt and cherry pink hair to match immortalized on the internet forever.

tldr; arizens hoped that her stylist got fired after this era. the plastic skirt wasn't the worst thing they'd done.

Other Iconic Outfits

Seating Arrangements

Depending on the venue, idols are normally sat on straight rows of chairs and benches, or at round tables. Given the choice, Aria would always prefer to sit at one of the tables, as not only does it give her a chance to not have to worry about her legs being seen while being covered by the tablecloth - if there is one - but it lets her keep everyone sitting near her in her direct line of vision.

However, should she have to sit in one of the main rows, she’ll normally end up squished beside one of three boys - Donghyuck, Yuta and/or Renjun. Should one of those three be unaviliable, Doyoung and Jeno are usually quick enough to fill in the empty space.

Donghyuck would always be her first choice, was it not for the boy’s incessant energy that sometimes left her nerves fried before their performance. Most days she adored the company - adored him and his efforts to get her mind off their impending songs with various games and ways to pass the time (they're not allowed play footsie anymore though, because Aria stomped on his foot with her heel once) - but other days she just needed someone to hold her hand and say nothing. That’s where Yuta and Renjun come in.

As Aria’s found out over the years, for all the man’s tactile affection and loud displays of love, Yuta’s highly perceptive to when she needs some silent comfort. Now, she’s not sure if he’s that perceptive to everyone or just her - but either way she’s not complaining.

With Dream, Renjun is the one she’ll sit with and doodle on the white napkins that are laid out on the table for lord knows what reason. After being bored out of their minds for their first few award shows, Renjun had snuck two black ballpoint pens into the venue in the inside of his red suit jacket. The drawings had become somewhat a tradition, and the best doodle normally is uploaded to bubble shortly after the show has ended.

All in all, Aria’s normally quite content to sit in the centre of the large group of boys - split over several rows or tables, boisterous and bubbly with energy. The only real downside to it all is the lack of blankets available to protect her modesty once she is seated.

Most venues split the idols fairly evenly between the boy and girl groups - with blankets being allocated especially for the seating of girl groups. This meant, unfortunately, that when NCT files into their seats and sits down, there is rarely something in the close vicinity that Aria can borrow quickly without causing a fuss.

Sometimes she gets lucky - other female idols might spot her and are normally kind enough to hand over one of their cushions or blankets, content to share with their neighboring member. Occasionally though, Aria has no such luck and is left to either pull down her dress multiple times per minute to cover the prickly feeling over the tops of her legs when she felt like eyes were boring into her, or wait for some kind of break so she could go find a spare covering.

Aria supposed after the third time something like that had happened, her members were getting fed up with it all.

At first it was their plan B: should some type of cover-up not be available in their immediate vicinity, Johnny or Lucas or Jaehyun - once, even Dejun - or another member who ran hot near-constantly would shrug off their jacket and fold it over Aria’s legs, pulling it up and then lifting her hands to place them in her lap to hold their jacket there.

Eventually it became their plan A however, now commonplace for Aria to go looking for the member who was wearing multiple layers and who wouldn’t suffer from the loss of their outermost one.

Iconic Moments

Red carpets were always something to dread, in Aria’s eyes.

The cameras flashing bright enough to blind you, and the knowledge that if she stumbled or - god forbid - fell it would be immortalized forever on Koreaboo’s newest blog post.

However the worst bit, was always the footwear. High, stiletto heels that left her teetering around on nothing more than her tippy-toes, precariously balanced as she made her way up and down stairs, over carpet and tiled flooring alike.

Aria was used to wearing heels, but the one’s she performed in were usually fitted with various types of ankle support and a thick heel to give her balance. Wobbling around on a heel the same width of a piece of uncooked spaghetti was not something she’d willingly choose.

Not to mention the blisters.

Designer shoes were gifted to the company on a regular basis - shipped over just in time for Aria to slip into the pair before stepping out of the van into the sea of bright flashes and reporters. It always seemed like designers were too pre-occupied with making a shoe look good rather than making them actually wearable.

The first time Aria had been gifted a set of heels - early 2018 - she made the mistake of assuming that they would be in similar comfort as her performance heels.

Two hours later and with a wad of bloody tissue stuffed into the back of them, Aria had learnt her lesson.

From then on, it was commonplace for Aria to bandage her heels before she went out to shows - not quite as heavily as she normally would for a performance, but just enough to stop the skin splitting under the constant abrasion.

She’d only been caught out badly once - but it was all caught on camera by a fan sitting close by, and spread over twitter like wildfire.

Aria had limped her way back over to where NCT 127 was sitting, lips pressed together in a tight line and hands clenched in the tight material of the leather trousers she had been given to wear. The trousers stopped a few inches above her ankles, so the red mess of her heels was clearly visible as she hobbled over and sat down with a thud onto the seat.

Donghyuck placed a hand on Aria’s shoulder, leaning in so that he could see her face behind the curtain of hair that she had let fall to hide her tear-filled eyes from him.

“Riri?” Donghyuck whispered to her, thumb beginning to rub soothing circles into her arm. “Hey, Riri? What’s going on?”

Aria only shook her head, gesturing to the pair of torturous heels on her feet.

Donghyuck inhaled sharply when he saw the blood trailing up her leg and soaking into the back of the heel. He turned to his side to elbow Doyoung, grabbing his attention.

“Hyung. Hyung.” He hissed, Doyoung turning around with an over-exaggerated sigh.

“No, Hyuck, I told you I’m not going to-” Doyoung cut himself off upon seeing Aria’s pain-filled face. “Aria? What’s wrong? What’s happened?”

Donghyuck slid off his seat onto the ground despite Aria’s protests that the floor wasn’t clean, get up, and explained what had happened to his hyung. Sliding her heel off as slowly as he could to not pull at the skin more, he muttered apologizes to Aria as she inhaled a shaky breath before exhaling it on a small, wet cry.

“Hyung, did you bring anything for Taeyong-hyung’s shoulder that we could use?”

“Yeah, yeah I did give me two seconds.” Doyoung bent into the small bag that he had tucked underneath the seat, pulling out a length of bandage that was stowed away in the outermost pocket.

Donghyuck took it from Doyoung’s hands with a small ‘thank you’, moving to kneel back down in front of Aria and taking her ankle back into his lap.

“Hyuck, no I got it, c’mon the ground isn’t clean-”

He silenced her with a look. Aria settled back into her chair - defeated - and Donghyuck wrapped the bandage around her heel as quickly but as painlessly as he could manage.

Maybe Aria should have been paying more attention to the camera that was slowly panning around the idols, projecting their faces up onto a large screen beside the stage, but she was too engrossed in the current group’s performance.

“그렇다고 네 맘이 작다는 게 아냐,” Swaying gently side to side and mouthing along to the lyrics, Aria was happy enough to smile along to the song and move her hands in a small mimickery of the choreography she’d taught herself off the group’s dance practice video she’d watched only a few dozen times.

It wasn’t until Mark poked her in the side that Aria broke out from her own little bubble, twisting her head to look back at him and then up at the screen when he pointed.

There, her face, staring back at her from the big screen was enough to make her mouth drop open a little bit and her eyes widen. She clapped a hand to her mouth before turning to hide her face in Jaehyun’s shoulder, shaking with embarassed laughter.

Aria could hear Taeyong’s teasing laugh in return, before a hand came and ruffled the hair on top of her head, that she swatted away.

Aria knew she was there.

She knew that she was sitting right there and that she was in one of those really skimpy dresses stylists loved to put girls in because apparently female idols don’t deserve modesty and Aria knew that she had a blanket for once and she should share it but oh my god.

It was Chungha.

Aria was going to pass out.

Taking side glances every few seconds only confirmed the fact that Chungha was pulling down her dress to cover as much of her legs as possible, tucking her ankles together and underneath the seat.

Ok.

Ok, she could do this.

Aria took a steeling breath, before shifting on her seat to face Chungha on more of a diagonal. She lifted her hand before lowering it slighly, looking away.

Should she- no ok she’s doing this.

Without giving herself time to talk herself out of it, Aria moved to rest her hand on Chungha’s arm. The older woman jerked slightly - startled - and Aria was quick to apologize.

There was no audio in the video uploaded - the original poster having been too far away to capture much - but the two women talked for a moment before Chungha pointed to the blanket and then herself.

Aria nodded emphatically, and Chungha’s face crumpled into something fond, bowing her head in thanks before they unfolded the blanket another time and Chungha scooted an inch closer to Aria so they’d both fit.

Chungha sent Aria another grateful smile before refocusing on the performances - apparently not noticing, or perhaps choosing not to comment on the rather obvious red tinge that the younger idol’s cheeks had taken on.

but expanding on what u said, jaes characterization in electric bugaloo is definitely one of the best ive seen (esp for a free fic on tumblr) !! there is so much depth to his character, from the way he thinks and the innate care he still has for his sister, but at the same time hes unwilling to let go of his evil (what he deems “good”) deeds but at the end u can truly see that hes not heartless and is truly just a human but yet !! it makes u wonder how hes used that + the charmspeak to manipulate others and use their sympathy. so yes like u said, a villian is much more dangerous when u start to sympathize with them 😭 tldr; jaehyun evil but also not really but like very evil actually

also yes renjun is such a tsundere even to his members 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 but i loved how u charaterized him to consistently think “im in love w yn im in love w yn omg hug kiss mwah yn” and then be completely stoic on the outside. i was a bit frustrated at first bc i was like “just kiss her !!” but ykw thats just him and ill have to deal with it 🤞😔 #touchygfproblems

announcement - 8/19/21

hey! tl;dr at the end

to be honest i’ve been sort of dreading this post. essentially i’ve been, for lack of better words, not feeling great. i feel like i’ve abandoned this blog, which is unfortunate. i don’t want to close or deactivate, so i won’t. however, the future of this blog will be unknown.

i want to write. i’ve been reading a whole lot more and fell in love with again, and i’d be lying to say that i haven’t been inspired by it. what i’m trying to say is that i will write. whether it’s for a fic on here or for a personal endeavor, i will write. that’s a given. i’ll keep this account up. i will check it. i’ll keep the app if i feel the need to.

i know i don’t really owe an explanation, but i do feel like i should (even tho most people have already closed this post LMAO). so here are some “rough” reasons why i’m not sure about the future of this blog:

i just started school and i’m really not into it. i’m doing four ap classes, which i’m realizing was a mistake on my part. i just don’t see how i can practically keep up this blog and handle my course load.

the pressure of writing for a blog has gotten to me. i have so many ideas, and up until a couple months ago i felt an obligation to share all of those ideas with people. not to mention, most don’t appreciate them, so why would i continue to share them when i can write something for me? for the most part, the weird anons haven’t bothered me about posting like they used to do. however, i feel bad to the nice 1,160 people following me, waiting, to get nothing.

maybe i need a mindset change. to think “i’m writing for me and i just so happen to be posting it” and not “people are following me for writing, therefore i need to write”

i just don’t like writing for kpop LOL writing in general.

i don’t like to acknowledge it alot, but this ties in with the pressure thing, i suppose i’ve gained a sizable audience to the point where mutuals tell me “i was intimidated to talk to you bc you’re famous” or people tagging me saying “i’m a famous mutual” and i know this means no harm! i can see how it can be construed as a compliment! but it’s a bit awkward for me. i’m just here to write. tumblr fame means nothing to me. AND please if you’re reading this and you have done this i hold no ill will towards you about this. never have, never will. it’s just me being awkward.

my overall interest in kpop has greatly diminished. i still have the songs. i still love the music and the people. i will scream about renjun and mark forever.

tldr:

essentially my mental health has been through the garbage disposal, wrung out over the sink, thrown in the washer, and hung up to dry. i’m incredibly tired of everything and i need to figure some stuff out. with my school work, declined interest in the kpop stan culture/community, and that goes hand in hand with my lack of motivation to write. however, i will keep this blog up, i might update it with a fic if i ever finish another one.

so essentially nothing about this blog will change. i’ll check in when i want to and shitpost and rb gifs of things like i always have, but i won’t promise fics anymore. thanks for hanging around.

honestly at the beginning, mark and aria weren’t very close, having only really seen each other in passing or with johnny

but after being dropped into training together the two quickly became fast friends, and now they’re borderline inseparable

generally aria is a pretty soft spoken person, but not with hyuck around - he brings out all her chaos energy (please pray for the patience of dotae)

the pair have a little tradition of kissing the back of each others’ hands before going on stage for good luck. they can’t even remember how it started, but now its an unnegotiable pre-show ritual

he’s so clingy with her absolutely everywhere its painfully adorable (ಥ﹏ಥ)

interviews? hyuck has a hand on her knee, or if she’s wearing a skirt he’s tucked his hand in between their chairs so she can hold it discreetly. in the dorms? full body tackle onto the couch, where he proceeds to lay on top of her completely.

because of hyuck’s nickname being the sun, and aria always being around him, czennies gave her the nickname “moon” to go with him

fans thought that aria was older than hyuck for a good year and a half before she released her birthday on a vlive, because she’s normally the one tasked with reigning his chaotic energy in during promotions (that is, if she hasn’t already joined him)

the winnie the pooh character that is on aria’s bed was a gift from hyuck for her 17th birthday, after she made him watch seven episodes of the show on netflix with her one night

a twitter thread of a czennie comparing their horoscopes together went viral when people realized that it was quite plausible that the pair were each others (platonic) soulmates

after an incident involving blueberries, donghyuck took it upon himself to check the ingredients of every. single. food item in their dorm to make sure it was ok for her to eat

hyuck clowns her for her irish accent, and aria curses him out in japanese

donghyuck was doing a vlive in his bedroom, sitting and talking to czennies when aria opened the door to his room quietly. she didn’t say anything, just waved slightly with almost closed eyes before she crawled underneath his covers and tucked her plushie underneath her chin. hyuck didn’t even blink at it - so it must have been a regular occurrence.

nct dream on idol room were trying out jaemin’s death-in-a-cup (his coffee) and as the cup got passed around, aria grew more and more concerned with each face the members made. “jaemin if i die from this-”

he only smiled at her while passing over the cup. aria held it up to look at the black liquid skeptically, before sighing in resignation and bringing the cup to her lips to take a sip.

these two are so chaotically calm

its like the energy cancels out or something

aria with hyuck is just so loud and obnoxious, and the same with chenle with jisung

so when you put those two together it just turns into le positive vibes

aria will hold him like a baby kitten she’s expecting to try wriggle out of her grip at any moment and its comical because he’s a good head taller than her

aria definitely has a knack for making her groupmates’ parents fall in love with her

they have a mutual understanding of the mental toll it takes to be around the rest of the dreamies constantly

chenle was particularly restless that day, constantly shuffling about in his seat to the point where renjun forcefully tossed an arm over his shoulders to hold him still while the vlive was still playing.

not one to be defeated, chenle then turned to press his lips to renjun’s cheek playfully, laughing when the older boy turned away in disgust. he turned to do the same to aria, coming closer to her cheek before aria turned her head to face his.

jisung knows she loves him the most out of dream sorry markhyuck and takes advantage of it every second

she used to coddle him a lot when he was smaller, but now that he’s older aria tries to rein it in as much as possible

aw damn u got me good 😭 taking away my best character trait (complimenting mahae) but oo if we're talking about the other neos on tracks

taeil; he's so cool im still not over purple?? i think he's got what it takes for any genre he's rly 127's pride for good reason

taeyong; p sure his soundcloud speaks for itself he can make do without sm for sure and put out quality music ahh also him harmonizing with anyone in vocal line instant serotonin! tldr one of the neos i wish had it better

yuta; his voice rly suits certain songs like i rly felt him back there with back2u and more recently favorite,, hes a sub vocalist im chill with

kun; can i just say i dont see the appeal of his vocal colour? but thats ON ME ok sorry

doyoung; ohhhhh one of my favourite vocalists hes so generous with his covers im happy he got so many opportunities outside of nct like for osts and duets (star blossom is one of my favourite station songs) his voice is perfect for layering and hes so emo chanel like half the time hes singing

ten; huge huge asset to the nct brand its great sm saw that and let him shine with bds and all his station songs. hes an artist through and through

jaehyun; to be very specific i dont like his "rap" moment in earthquake it sounded weak to me but overall he has a lot to offer as a baritone too bad most sm songs belong in the high range

winwin; he has bare lines in 127 n i dont listen to wayv but from memory i dont think im missing out he kind of sounds like the way he talks but idk maybe the lines he was given suck

jungwoo; imo he's mediocre but i like the way he ends his lines if that makes any sense

xiaojun; i nvr have to doubt his abilities he's just great at what he does hes kind of like a respectable long-distance relative i dont actively try to pick his voice out from the rest

hendery; so if i were arguing w someone n they pulled out wukong i'd off myself right there n then

renjun; HEEEEEEEEE i get that hes not the most stable but he has such a pretty voice i can look away if he needs me to

jeno; i dont enjoy his tone or flow but there are moments im not. bothered by it (more so w the recent album)

jaemin; him making me go from 😣😙 to 🤨 on many occasions .first of all why did do dear dream like that n maybe being a vocalist is asking for too much.. tho i do prefer his vocals more than jenos... i think .pls dont quote me on that

yangyang; hm not familiar w him but based on what i do hear why does he sound so... tense like hes clenching so hard?what for?? bc then i feel uneasy as a listener 😭 its prob just me tho

shotaro; interesting timbre for sureeeeeeee definitely always intrigued to see where they use his voice

sungchan; i dig his work, he sounded experienced from the get-go also i always knew he had pipes so good for him

chenle; very stable since birth lol, he stood out to me the most in dream's 1st album but also im not in love with his voice or anything its just solid and i cant complain

jisung; i think hes on his way 2 becoming a threat (in a good way) with how he's improving his vocals, also iirc he was chill since the beginning
