You know what just hit me like a truck?
Marinette at the end of the Paris special traveled through several universes and in all of them Chat Noir was the partner by her side
In all besides ONE universe where Scarabella and Kitty Noire had the Ladybug and Black Cat.
The Paris special took place before episode 4, so way before the Kwami Choice two parter. I wonder how Marinette felt whne she realized (or at least in the theoretical case of her realizing) that at that point the one and only universe became their reality too where Chat isn't by her side at all and that she has made alot of active choices to heavily contribute for it to end up this way.
I mean, she too literally CHOSE to leave and she already wanted to do it before Plagg initiated his plan. That happened. No way around it.
I wished the show wouldn't just throw in such awfully heavy implications without paying it off. I was glad that Marinette having seen Kitty Noire in another time line explains why Marinette didn't think of worrying about if this new Black Cat truly is a good person and not a bad one who happened to get her hands on Plagg after Chat renounced (though Alya isn't off the hook for this. She didn't even care to ask for a HERO NAME. The non-existent security around the Black Cat Miraculous from the two leader girls at the top of the hierarchy is just insanely irresponsible. Literally ANYONE could infiltrate the team as Black Cat through Adrien's isolation and be welcomed with open arms as long as they aren't straight up announcing themselves as the villain)
But now having realized that Marinette saw that she and Chat Noir are a team in so MANY universes besides ONE and it's exactly THAT one which ends up coming true through alot of her own decisions no less?
That's harsh. That is such a harsh thing to simply throw in there and then do nothing with. As if that wouldn't be an extremely crushing realization for her to have.
Same as Adrien being kamikotized into Celestial Cat who looks way too much like Chat Blanc and they just... did nothing with that. Marinette had NO reaction to it whatsoever.
Both kamikotizations came with such heavy baggage, but they just did nothing with it. It's just THERE.

One thing that kind of (absolutely) bothers me about this show is the weird… avoidance?? Or major mistakes or flaws the characters have??
(This is me going off of the top of my head, and sooooo much personal bias is in this, be warned)
I’ve seen this being talked around the critical tab a bit and I just wanted to ramble: for some odd reason, the show is very consistent with blaming/placing fault on a characters minor flaws, but the major shortcomings are just brushed aside (this somewhat applies to some parts of the fandom as well)! A few examples I could think of off the top of my head:
Marinette- Marinette’s blamed by the narrative for things she can’t even control or have nothing to do with anything. Like, in Penalteam, where she has to work to be a team player?? Even though in the episodes beforehand Chat’s whole thing was that he felt like he was being replaced/ set aside by the whole team??? At the same time, Derision made every instance of Marinette’s more unsavory acts in regards to Adrien (which was originally absurd comedy) into something serious because it’s a trauma response now! Which means every instance of her doing those things is now under the context of “oh god this is a traumatized teenager potentially breaking the law due to a trauma response and absolutely needs therapy!!”, while also… just… quietly sweeping all that under the rug under the guise of “well she does those things BECAUSE of the trauma” while not acknowledging just how many bad implications are there now. (I could go a full hour talking about how much Derision fucked EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. OVER.) Oh, and her being secretive with Chat for… no reason? This one is kind of acknowledged but also, the crux of the issue is brushed aside in the season 4 finale? Like, in Kuro Neko when Chat is trying to, like alleviate some of her duties by gathering some of the Miraculous cause he also knows some of their identities? And she says no and says he’s wasting her time? I get he was pestering her about it, I do, but the authors were saying that her reasoning with being secretive was that she was had so much responsibility… but when the opportunity arises for someone to alleviate that, she turns it down? (Honestly liked the fanon reason that she was scared of Chat Blanc timeline and him getting to close to her way more)
Adrien- His naivety in specific situations (the whole “taking the high road” advice) being criticized HEAVILY, when it’s kind of understandable he would give that? I get that it’s bad advice in this situation, I don’t think he’s part of the problem for giving it though. But his pushiness towards Ladybug? The godawful communication he had in Season 4 (this is a Ladybug issue too)? Nah, let’s just ignore that. His… really concerning mental health (Guilttrip anyone? I mean he literally tries to cataclysm himself why is no one talking about this?) What are you talkin’ aboutttt, it’s all good here! In fact, we’ll never bring that up again, how does that sound? (Please delve more into that in season 6 dear god)
Chloe- It’s… understandable??? When the show harps on her being a bully I guess?? But the issue I have with that is that the show acts like this is the WORST thing she’s done, being a petty vindictive teenager. The show rarely brings up her failures at being a superhero (for how much some fans bring up the train scene, I’m 1000% sure the show literally forgot) or the fact that she, y’know. Literally betrayed Ladybug and worked with Hawkmoth! For how much the show loves dogging on her and treating her like a secondary villain I’d expect like, a little bit more in showing that off? Also, the literal two grown adults setting her up as a scapegoat for the whole mayor thing, then the show acting like she’s the one at fault still?? And that sending her away with her mother was a good thing????
Gabriel- “Oh he’s too obsessed with his Ladybug to actually save his wife! He’s cold and distant but still loving actually!” What about his neglect? What about him literally ignoring his wife’s wishes (there was no way he didn’t know beforehand I’m sorry)? I genuinely don’t care that he “made the right choice” with his wish, he stabbed Marinette in the back to do so. Literally LOCKED ADRIEN IN A WHITE ROOM AND AT SOME POINT WAS ATTEMPTING TO AKUMATIZE HIM…! But nah, he’s just too ambitious, he’s a loving father, whatareyatalkinabout? He’s a hero! (😨)
Andre (Bourgeois)- “His flaws are that he gave up on his dream to live an unhappy life! Oh but we’re gonna ignore his role as a literal corrupt politician, look he’s redeemed now! He even sent that she-demon Chloe away! What do you mean he literally raised this child to act this way? Nah, everything is Chloe’s fault and we’re not even going to acknowledge his hand in literally raising her with these values since she was basically in elementary school! Look he’s adopting Zoe, isn’t that sweet? Nevermind how we just won’t acknowledge where Mr. Lee is, if he’s alive, or if Zoe is even okay with everything that just happened! (I mean, cmon, she literally lived with Audrey for years, she would reasonably be a little put off by this, even if she thinks Chloe is a lost cause)
These are just a few I could think of, though. Honestly my biggest wish is that the show would stop bringing the character’s least offensive trait/fault (compared to others) and truly acknowledge the worse aspects of them.
Bit that’s just me rambling like a madman, I’d love to know what you guys would think!

Adrien’s crush on Marinette
I’ve seen some claims that Adrien’s crush on Marinette in season 5 is sudden and poorly developed. I don’t agree with those opinions.
Firstly I’d like to point out that romantic love isn’t something that acts like an on/off switch. Romantic feelings are usually developing over some time (slower or faster, depending on a situation and people involved), like a spectrum that goes from slight attraction to full blown love. So it’s really hard to tell when exactly the love does begin. And it’s worth noticing that such feelings don’t usually grow in a linear, steady way, but rather in a logarythmic way—more slowly at the beginning and faster as the time goes by.
Adrien has some trouble with his feelings, because he used to be very lonely but at the same time he was followed by fans with their shallow feelings. His mother died and unfortunately his father’s love is conditional. Adrien is desperate for normal relationships, but also he doesn’t have a great point of reference what love and friendship truly are. He falls so easily for Ladybug because she’s the first person he meets after a long time of loneliness and isolation and who can see him as an equal, not a model to admire. It isn’t easy to let go of such a relationship. It’s no wonder Adrien struggles with his feelings. Not to mention an obvious fact that he’s just 14 yo.
In season 1 Adrien sees Marinette as an adorable classmate and slowly his feelings are growing. He’s attracted to her—she’s the only girl besides Ladybug that he seems to find attractive—but it isn’t a full blown crush yet, not even a fully conscious attraction. He also wants to be her friend, but their relation isn’t so close yet.
In season 2 their relationship turns into friendship. He trusts her and admires her. It isn’t just attraction and wish to be closer anymore, there’s also adoration and trust.
By the end of season 3 his feelings become more romantic in nature. In Puppeteer 2 he can hear Marinette confessing her love in a joking manner and for the first time he’s confronted with a more clear possibility that she’s romantically interested in him as her friend, not as a model. The physical sensation of the kiss is also much harder to ignore than simply emotions, especially that, though brief, it’s the first kiss he can remember.
In Chat Blanc he admits he always felt there was something more between them—him and Marinette, not him and Ladybug.
In Heart Hunter he admires Marinette’s appearance twice, staring at her with heart eyes, he takes her hand (only her hand, not both her and Kagami’s) when running away from the hotel and is sad and disappointed when Marinette has left them. But he doesn’t have such moments with Kagami (he admires her and finds her somewhat attractive, but those feelings are less pronounced than those that he has for Marinette, especially in this episode), yet when Kagami makes her feelings for him clear, he starts dating her. I’m quite positive that if it was Marinette instead of Kagami, he wouldn’t reject her. What’s more, their relationship would be much happier than the short one he had with Kagami. However, it would be far less satisfying for the audience. Starting a relationship just to see if it’ll work, without very strong feelings, happens in real life, but seeing him actively pursuing Marinette in season 5 is much more satisfying.
In season 4 he’s still not aware that he’s in love with Marinette, but he seems a bit more aware of his attraction to her and his unconscious crush keeps growing. He looks at her with heart eyes several times. In Mr Pigeon 72 he’s so focused on Marinette that he hits his head on the car. In Guiltrip there’s a pink background when he catches her after she has tripped—it’s not just Marinette’s feeling but both of them, judging by how the scene is framed. By the end of the season his feelings are quite developed and he considers her trustworthy enough to tell her more about his attitude towards modelling and his life in general.
What’s more, in season 4 he slowly explores his feelings for Ladybug and his role in the superhero team. By the end of the season he better understands Ladybug’s struggle, is more set on supporting her and is less desperate for her attention since he feels more secure in his everyday friendships and his role as a superhero. So his feelings for Ladybug aren’t so overwhelming anymore and he can move on.

Unpopular(?) Miraculous Opinion(s):
“Chat Blanc” should have been about the imbalance between Chat Noir and Ladybug and Chat finally having enough of it and THEREFOR “Chat Blanc” should have been the 100th episode and it should have replaced “Ephemeral”.
When I first saw that Chat Blanc was going to be an episode I legit thought that the reason Chat Noir was going to be akumatized because he kept feeling inferior to Ladybug and that resentment finally accumulating into an akuma. But no…it was more love square bullshit…yaaaaay. (I know the episode wasn’t all about love square bullshit but that’s how the problem started.)
But even with the premise it had, I found it weird that Chat Blanc wasn’t the season Finale and Miracle Queen was (especially when the only impact Miracle Queen had was Marinette getting promoted to “Guardian”). Chat Blanc DEFINITELY had “season finale” potential and with all of the episodes from S3 having little sprinkles of Chat Noir feeling constantly left out that Ladybug wasn’t including him in as much, you’d think the pay off would be “Chat Blanc”
So here’s my little tidbit. Because S4 was just all of that CN angst from S3 but cranked up to 11, “Chat Blanc” should have been moved to S4. S4 is all about Chat Noir feeling like he doesn’t matter and that Ladybug is undermining him. All of that SHOULD HAVE pay off but the pay of was Adrien giving up is ring in S5. “Chat Blanc” (whether it be in S3 or S4) should have been a wake up call to Ladybug to stop treating CN like he’s an afterthought and more like a partner.
Not only would this finally make the shift for CN to FINALLY be treated as an equal but it would get rid of the nothing episode that is “Ephemeral” And sure, you can argue that it would look bad on LB’s part that the thing that makes her start to respect CN more is an akumatization but at this point, I feel like that WOULD be the only thing that would make her change because CN doesn’t say anything to her.
As much as I’m frustrated at LB for treating CN this way, I’m also frustrated at CN for constantly failing to communicate his feelings to LB that doesn’t involve him giving up his ring. Whatever problems CN has with LB he always says them away from her and never TO her. And (just like @ilikekidsshows said) Ladybug always assumes and demands but never asks. She never asks CN how he felt about Rena Rouge being a permanent hero. She never asked him if he’s okay with all of the temporary heroes. She never asks CN why he keeps giving up his ring. I don’t even know if she asked him if he was okay after the events of “Guilttrip”. She just ASSUMES he’s okay with it. They both SUCK at communicating and I truly think it’s in character for both of them that the thing that changes things is something big like Chat getting akumatized.
Also Chat getting akumatized would have made a much better 100th episode than whatever the hell “Ephemeral” was imo-

Saym recall that Princess Scream Akuma & premise i mentioned? Some idle thoughts, for summary:
S3, Adrien & Mari get together, Chloe leaves Paris for a bit to seethe until she is rational enough to not instantly lose Adrien's friendship.
Then Chat Blanc blows up the god damn moon. Anyone who survived the blast zone & fall out is fleeing, Chloe is going to Paris to find the Miraculous and fix this mess.
She gets there, Chat (if he sees her) is oscillating wildly between, "Hey buddy!" to "You hurt my love I kill you!" to "Kill me Queen Bee kill me!"
She finds Sass who has a way out but there will be after effects, Chloe agrees & so he wraps himself around her wrist like a bracelet and bites down, activating his powers on only Chloe.
Cue her coming to like a week after Dark Cupid. passing out in class cos Sass is semi fused to her & she's now semi starved cos of his energy cost.
For reference she can transform but she cannot use Second Chance, but does still have like, instinctive premonition. Sass is likely comatose till she can get his other half, but she doesn't know that or where to go, they were in a hurry.
Anyway, this is a long form way of saying she starts picking up some snakey, snakey traits.
Her favorite food besides Sushi is now boiled eggs, she cuts them open with her long nails and swallows them whole.
Her canines are getting long and seem to extent when she's pissed off, and her tongue habitually flicks out to taste the air.
She eventually gets those double lidded snake eyes which she actually thinks is kind of neat as she doesn't need to blink and can avoid dust in the eyes. Also they turn gold like Sass's.
She very much gets a "Did that bitch just hiss at me!?" reaction from someone when pissed off.
She is unsure if she's just gonna become him or stop, so when she notices she is kinda freaking out.
The only two people who notice this early on are Sabrina, cos she spend a lot of time around Chloe who is confused & wondering if its even her.
& the other is Juleka, who is like just silently praying, "Get longer fangs, be venomous, oh please develop scales, I am loving this aesthetic."
Ended up making my own episode timeline for this, building it around how familiar the cast seemed with each other & the Akuma situation in early episodes. How long before Chloe got isolated from the class, the structure of kid then parent or visa versa episode (Mylene & Mime for example) and what felt like it made sense thematically, structurally, ETC. While still trying to keep the original lists in mind.
Juleka PLEASE cool it for five seconds lmao
But also yeah this? Oh boy!

Little random game: name the eps you most hate and most love of each miraculous season and explain why
Hmm, there's not many episodes I'd say I hate, but my favorites and least favorites of each season are as follows:
Season 1:
Favorite: Origins -I don't care if this is technically two episodes, I loved seeing the origins of how the children met and how everything went down. The beginning of LadyNoir and oh my gosh we got such good LadyNoir moments here.
Least Favorite: Reflekta -Honestly looking through season 1 there really isn't any that stands out as a least favorite for me. So I chose Reflekta solely because this episode is the start of the curse of the many Reflekta akumatizations to come. xD
---
Season 2:
Favorite: Heroes' Day -I had to put this one as my favorite just on the premise that I feel that Heroes' Day is the best final/two parter we've had in the entire series. I loved everyone's role in these episodes, and of course we get to see Nathalie being an absolute queen as well.
Least Favorite: Frozer -Eh. Just an episode that's never stood out to me. Forgettable in the long run.
---
Season 3:
Favorite: Chat Blanc -Favorite episode of the season? More like my favorite episode ever! The angst. The feels. Chat Blanc's hurt and rage. Chat Blanc's design. It's all so beautiful the only change I'd make is making it a two parter and maybe adding a LadyBlanc kiss. But those changes aren't even needed because it's wonderful as is. 11/10. -Gamer 2.0, Oblivio, and Reflekdoll are honorable mentions. For the adorable LadyNoir moments, adorable Lovesquare moments via memory loss, and kwami swap! Season 3 is probably my favorite season overall.
Least Favorite: Christmaster -Just another episode that's never stood out to me. Plot wise it felt mid, and I can't see myself going back to rewatch it or basing a fic on it. Or including it in a fic. -Honorable mention of Miracle Queen though, as this used to be my least favorite of the season. I was really on board for a Chloe redemption when season three ended so this episode kind of stung (hehe) then, but nowadays I don't have the same issues with it.
---
Season 4:
Favorite: Qilin Least Favorite: Qilin
-Ha! Didn't see this coming, did you? I love love loved so much of Qilin. I loved the themes it addresses, Marinette and Sabine's relationship, the design of the akuma, it was all so good... until the very end!! They let Marinette take the blame when the real problem was racism?? I hate you ticket dude. And also bus driver dude you saw Sabine with her tickets and she literally gave you baked goods and you said nothing when she was taken away? Why???
And if you don't accept one episode being both the favorite and least favorite, then here are my thoughts on other episodes of the season: -I love the setup of Truth and Lies and would love more episodes focusing solely on Adrien. -Guiltrip when Chat Noir almost Catalcysms himself hurts me on a physical level someone give Adrien a hug. -I will forever live for the Plagg and Adrien moments in Kuro Neko.
Season 5:
Favorite: Evolution -Season 5 has a lot of plot-heavy focused episodes, which I always love to get. We got canon Adrinette, Gabriel getting Cataclysmed, awesome lore... but in the end I still think it's this first episode that's my favorite. I loved the action, how it picks right up at the end of season four, and also Rabbit Noir had such an awesome design too. I liked seeing Master Fu again, and the role Alix got to play. Gabriel got his good Monarch design with the stained glass look. Also timetravel can be tricky to write, and they pulled it off well.
Least Favorite: Action -After a whole season of the most plot-heavy episodes yet with a lot happening emotionally... Action has very little action is the way of plot or even as good “filler”.
Specials:
Favorite: Miraculous Paris -Gah honestly I think this is one of the very best episodes in all the show. Fantastic writing, great characterization, a fun adventure and seeing the alternate universe was fascinating. I love Shadybug and Claw Noir. Hesperia was awesome (I refuse to call him Betterfly). I have so many questions about the other world and who the Supreme is. Gabriel singing the intro. I could go on all day.
Least Favorite: ...idk -I mean there's only three specials thus far, and honestly I can't rank the Shanghai or the New York special as the lowest.
Movies: -Jk we only have one. xD But with how movie one ended with Nathalie I'm excited to see what they might do with this universe in the future.

Miraculous London Special
I swear I wasn't going to watch it. It kinda just happened. But since I already did, might as well give my thoughts!
Not gonna lie, the first 10 minutes of the episode are like a poorly-written fanfiction. Ladybug's talk with Kagami, her talk with Adrien, the little montage of her with Nathalie, going home and calling Alya (even though we don't know what the conversation was), all the way to her getting in bed.
And honestly? I have so many notes just in this small section.
I found Gorilla's "bro, I have a keycard" so funny. (I would mention that it was a writer's commentary on how Marinette tends to overcomplicate things, but I'm sure you already thought of that)
OMG if they animate Marinette opening her diary to the first page and writing in it ONE MORE TIME I think I'm gonna flip. She's had it for months now, and we've seen her writing in it. You can't trick us, animators.
Who puts the key to their diary right next to it?
I'm not going to recap the rest of the episode, but here's some more thoughts:
The episode was a little... mundane? Repetitive? It was literally like Chat Blanc + Evolution, and they followed the classic "rule of threes" so I knew when they were gonna win. It was a fun episode, to be sure, but (like most special episodes) I didn't feel any urgency or stakes.
Once again, the writers prove that Chat Noir is unneeded, and Ladybug can literally save the universe without him. (Yes, Bunnix was there too, but the only purpose she served was to open and close portals + make jokes that normally only Chat Noir would make) I don't see why they go through all the trouble of saying over and over again that they're a team and there is no LB without CN, but then override that constantly by "making Marinette look good". JUSTICE FOR CHAT NOIR!
The writers seemed to keep forgetting the rules they previously set in place?? Like, Marinette asked Tikki and Plagg for advice, and apparently they couldn't answer her honestly because "neither of them is the kwami of truth". But what about all the other times Tikki/Plagg gave Marinette/Adrien any sort of wisdom or advice? ALSO when Marinette transformed, I couldn't tell if she was yellow because of the jacket or because she just felt like it. But then she goes, "isn't it a bit flashy?" The holders literally dictate what they want the outfit to look like.
Alix had no reason to panic because Big Alix and Granny Alix already knew what was going on. No matter what they did, they would win. (Maybe that's why I felt no stakes)
So I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that Emelie isn't alive...?
What was Lila's wish????
Marinette's conversation with Nathalie made her sound like a villain. 100%. Justify her actions however you want, but the way she was explaining how she would tell the world only part of the truth was straight-up evil. (also abusing your power and influence is not why Fu gave you the miraculous.)
WHY did they have to ruin my favorite episode like this?? I'll never be able to comfortably watch Origins without thinking of this episode again! There goes the nostalgia~
Anyway that's it byeeee

Has anyone noticed that many heroes have weird or toxic girlfriends?
. I used to be a fan of this couple, but then I noticed that sometimes Annabeth can be a little bully to Percy....making fun of his intelligence....like she is superior and he would totally be lost without her. I just wanted to see how she would manage without him in Tartarus. She can be arrogant and bossy. In my opinion, I think she got really interested in Percy because of his powers....you know being the big hero stuff and....she was lonely after losing Luke, Thalia...and many other things that happened to her. Her fatal flaw is pride, so I guess she rarely apologizes for her mistakes and learn from them. I don't blame Percy for having insecurities to express himself because he gets afraid of Annabeth's reaction...and the jealous thing with Rachel....everyone already felt jealous...but treat someone bad just because of it and not even apologize to the person? This is totally creepy....If I had a friend like Annabeth, totally obsessive and possessive of me...I would keep my distance from her. If I'm not mistaken, Annabeth even made Percy ask her to dance...is this serious? Because I don't remember from the book....grateful for that...but still...If a guy doesn't ask you out, don't make him do it. Dance alone...love yourself first... it's better than humilate yourself for a man...and he can do whatever he wants to do...he doesn't have to dance with a girl only because she ordered him to do it...
Marinette is a sweet person, but sometimes she can be a creppy stalker. She even planned her future with Adrien who didn't even know her that well at the time. She even stole his phone. I see her character a little boring and forced sometimes. I never liked her as Ladybug because she was always bossy and boring...and sometimes even cold to Chat Noir. I don't like how they put the two together...her as someone smart and powerful and him just Chat Noir, the sidekick...the friend...the most important second hero. I think the best episode was Chat Blanc, when he used his power and she was gone. But her other version appeared to save the day...as usual....and I think she can be selfish too, especially to Adrien. Both remind me of Percy and Annabeth...I even stopped watching the series because of Ladybug.
I'm a big fan of this couple, but still....in all universes, Lois keeps something from her personality...that she is always bossy and arrogant...and sometimes a little boring. But I guess it may be Clark's style because there is another man with the same personality....
Sometimes, Lois Lane can be a little annoying; obsessive and possessive of Superman. I know that she fell for Superman because of his values, but I think deep down she fell for his powers and beauty too...and she treated Clark like she was superior to him....
She looks like the only nice version of Annabeth. Well..depends on the universe too...because she was a villain in one reality...and at least in the new superman and lois series, she fell for Clark first 😊
I love her so much, but she is a stalker or used to be..I don't know. She always followed Naruto and it was kinda creppy. He didn't like her or notice her existence....and even Naruto called her weird. Well, at least she was the only girl who never liked Sasuke!
In another version or dream (whatever that was)...Hinata even threatens Sakura for going out with Naruto, who wasn't even her boyfriend....
For me, Iris is a bad version of Lois Lane. She can be annoying, bossy and boring. I don't think that Barry and her have a lot of chemistry. She bothered more the team than helped. Sometimes, she can have her great moments. She even jumped from a building to try to save Barry. She could have died. So, yeah....she can be good. But, still..."Savitar only had one job...only one job" 😅🤣

Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Reviews: The Paris Parallel Universe Special
Big news! Parallel Universe time! Except it's mostly just visitors from another universe! Just the multiverse plot I like! In the episode 2 timeskip, I'm guessing!
Also I thought about it and decided in my rewrite AU Marinette instead falls into an alternate timeline that's my attempt at giving reason to salt fics combined with a dream I once had. The current issue I'm having is figuring out how Lila can coerce and befriend both the class members that worship Hawkmoth and Alya, who still is a massive Ladybug fan and therefore would be against said Hawkmoth worshipers. It's a dark timeline, to say the least.
I don't think being a fashion designer is a normal life, honestly.
Holy fuck, this really is an alternate timeline! Gabriel Agreste's the one doing the singing!
So why is it Kamiko instead of Akuma? I always felt like it would be Tenshi for the angel/demon parallels, not to mention how Tenshi meaning "heaven messenger" works well with them being empowered and in a way controlled by the butterfly wielder. What does Kamiko mean, anyways? I know Akuma just means "evil demon," considering their only purpose is to wreak havoc and get the Miraculouses,
Oh right. This scene again. The lighting looks different, though.
"Turns your best friend into a dimensional portal and pops out of it"
Evil fucked-up Ladybug and Chat Noir
Nope. Still not believing this is real Paris.
Wouldn't it be funny if she said "Unlucky charm!" instead? To enhance the evil reverse situation!
Alright, so how does "Tikki living in all parallel universes at once" work, anyways? Is each Tikki a small component in a grand semi-autonomous hivemind that all relay back to the Master Tikki? Does Tikki ever get messed up at what part of the universe she's talking to? Is she aware and feeling the misery of her Shadyverse counterpart I know will appear?
Claw Noir is corny as hell and feels like he's forcing himself and not being who he truly is. You can tell this isn't who he's meant to be because he's still a boy.
Honestly Claw Noir turning his staff into nunchucks is cool as hell. I hope regular Chat Noir does that sometime.
Same with Shadybug's lucky charms being guns and weapons and tools. Helpful stuff!
No way! Angel Chat Blanc!
Those two dumb jackasses are the kind of people to say "Bad morning" and "No we can't" to Bob the Builder.
Monarch's really thinking with portals now
Doomreading about her alternate self's better life and friends
So why are there evil phrase versions for the Miraculouses anyways? What purpose does it serve?
Long forms
Oh hey! This happens in my rewrite as well!
Broken
Yep, the giants are illusions.
Despite this being a timeline where bad is good and good is bad, Chloe is still evil? Honestly I think she should be a sweetie pateetie. Also because it's funnier that way.
Eh. The old outfit looked better. Just get rid of the dark makeup and make the hair tidier.
So have they been up all night?
And Ladybug has become Hatsune Miku!
Get his ass! Get his ass! Also different timelines having different appearances is very useful knowledge to me.
Nooroo's used to this shit
Yep, this never happened!
Oh god they did stay up all night
Damn, these specials are getting better and better! I'll admit, the reconciliation scene felt campy in a way I didn't like and it feels weird that even in another timeline Gabriel Agreste redeems himself more than Chloe, but other than that, good stars! Also the animation was good!

An updated List of ML Crack Theories I Am Considering, part 2
Part 1 here
The Couffaine family is of Romani descent and trauma due to discrimination is what caused Juleka to develop selective mutism, and to be held back a year, and Luka developed an atlas complex.
In the Paris special, there is a whole scene dedicated to the lesson Plagg says of "Sometimes, destroying IS the best path to build anew. Trust me. It works for me more often than not." Surprisingly, this is never brought up in the special. Could this mean it will be addressed in season 6 and onward? I like to think yes. The possibility Adrienette will also be killed, Adrien learning about Chat Blanc and Ephemeral, Adrien learning The Truth? Their destruction will open up opportunities to create anew.
Gabe and Emilie either never wore Adrien's amoks, or quit wearing them extremely early on. It's a commonly believed in the fandom that the silver ring Gabe wears on his middle finger in season 1-3 is Adrien's amok. This is untrue, even if the fan wiki says that it is. All three rings are plain silver bands. It is a very simple mix up and I don't blame anyone for thinking this way. Gabe is a sentimental man, and would not wear his wedding ring (the object that represents his devotion to Emilie) on his middle finger. The twin rings are first revealed in season 3 episode 24 "Felix." Gabe slips the rings on his and Emelie's left ring fingers, as one does with wedding rings. (It is noteworthy that MLB is notorious for errors, and even after Gabe switches to wearing the amoks, there are still scenes where he's seen wearing the middle finger ring haha)
Gabe didn't nearly murder Felix when he tried to akumatize his amok in "Adrien Agreste." If you look closely, Gabe actually akumatizes the fake copy of Adrien's amok. Gabe DID nearly murder Kagami when he akumatized her amok in "Perfection." It's only by sheer luck that Ladybug and Chat Noir couldn't figure out where her akumatized object was and had to use another method of rescuing her.
Gabe lends the Peacock Miraculous to Colt Fathom knowing it was broken and the possible eventual consequences. Gabe indirectly murdered Colt Fathom.
Sabine has known Marinette is Ladybug since day 1. I've seen this theory floating around for a while, but I think Sabine will ALSO tell Marinette that sometimes keeping some secrets is important, even from your most loved ones. (Tom doesn't know). Maribug will that this as proof that keeping The Truth from Adrien is the right thing to do.
There's going to be some sort of parallel or foil arc between the Amelie/Colt and Emilie/Gabe VS Sabine/Tom and Sabine's obviously fraternal twin sister/whatever she's doing now in London
Sabine "settled" for Tom 20 years prior, and was deeply unhappy with her life in Paris, but has learned to love Tom and the life she now has. (Maybe they had Marinette and it "fixed" their issues). Tom knows something was off, but nothing of the great extent that Sabine felt troubled in their early relationship.
Adrienette adopt a hamster to parallel this. Marinette names the hamster Adrien. It ends poorly.
Luka has known Adrien was Chat Noir since Desperada. (A mutual put it best: Luka having a suspicion so early would fit with the snake being perception/intuition. Snakes called 'light' and forbidden knowledge, and all that >:3c)
Felix acts odd in his debut episode due to the fact he's never had his amok, and there is an adjustment period
The events in Emotion are directly tied to Strikeback, and his memories of a specific trauma in his previous universe. Bonus points if Barkk's final cry that he wants to stay with Ladybug is somehow foreshadowing of this fact.
Mr. Lee is just a pseudonym of Colt Fathom, and Zoe is his bio daughter, and not a sentimonster... yet.
The stylized "M" logo next to Tomoe's in the New World is Colt Fathom's company's logo
Adrien has Colt-related trauma probably from that time he and Felix swapped places when they were kids. Bonus points if Gabe or even Emilie either knew, blamed Adrien for the trauma, or was somehow otherwise involved.
Emilie was also a horrible parent and didn't change until she was on her deathbed.
They're gonna double and triple down the deaths of Ladynoir, Marichat, and Ladrien.
The Love Square IS endgame BUT it's Felix and whoever was his og Ladybug in a previous Universe.

You know, I feel like every season 2 was the most epic season since it did a lot of pay off and showcased a lot of things fans speculated and wanted
Super hero Chloe,Alya and Nino, new miraculous users, Hawkmoths identity, Gabriel showing he cares for Adrien (gorizilla) The peacock miraculous, Nathalie love for Gabriel, akumatized miraculous users, a army of Akumas, the power ups and Master Fu identity
And most of it very well executed.
Season 3 gave fusions, master Fu backstory, chat blanc and Felix
However season 2 was kinda flawed (fusions not creating a new power by fusing the miraculous, master fu backstory being a bit underwhelming like he’s entire character and Felix which is a completely different Can of worms and Cat blanc which is a Can but of snakes)
It felt like they threw the biggest things they’ve been building up and anticipating since the beginning in season 2 and now they are just reusing stuff trying to make it work (new heroes, more fusions, more Felix, plot twist which do no good and should have stayed has headcanons/theory’s and a copy of chat blanc) but kinda killed off the magic of if
And the only thing left they had was new miraculous users, but like Syndrome said “if everyone is super, nobody is” specially if everyone is just another tool for Ladybug to use
Now I just see every new big thing has something boring and pathetic, wanna talk about how disappointing strike back (the character) was? I thought we would see a end game villain and the defeat of Gabriel by how the episode was titled, now if Gabriel is ever defeated I’ll won’t feel nothing
Just like how many will feel if Chloe is redeemed, the reveal is done, Lila is exposed, when Emily wakes up and Etc etc etc
They put most of the big concepts and popular thing of the fandom in season 2 and now I just feel like they’ve run out of ideas that won’t break the status quo or fall apart because of the show previous mistakes. They wrote themselves into a corner they can easily break but refuse to do so
I think the problem is more that the show keeps introducing more plotlines and concepts instead of resolving the ones they already introduced.
Instead of just focusing on Chloe as an antagonist full-time, they introduced Lila, then teased a redemption arc for Chloe that went nowhere, leaving us stuck with two antagonists who are pretty much the same character.
Instead of having Hawkmoth lose at the end of Season 2 and have someone like Mayura take over as the main villain, they kept Hawkmoth around while benching Mayura at the end of Season 3, and almost everyone agrees that Gabriel has long overstayed his welcome at the main antagonist of the series.
Instead of delving more into the lore of the Miraculous or the Order of the Guardians, they introduced twelve more Miraculous themed after the Chinese Zodiac that add nothing to the plot other than to introduce more heroes for the hell of it.
Instead of having Adrien actively rebel against his father, they introduced Felix, who is aware of how shady Gabriel is and helps forward the plot in ways that conveniently leave Adrien out of it.
It really feels like the show is more focused on quantity over quality at this point.

Yoooooo! LOVE your miraculous oumota au!!!!
I was thinking and couldn’t figure out who is more suitable for the role of Cat Blanc. On the one hand, this is obvious to Kokichi since he has the miraculous of a cat and this is more like him, so to speak. But on the other hand, the main point of the Cat Blanc episode was to give Marinette a justification for her paranoia about their secret identities. Causing her to push Cat away. Now that sounds like Kokichi. Anyway, just food for thought, Have a nice day!
fvbjyfvbhjufcv thank you so much !!
ok ok !!
first of all thanks for the ask !! i love yapping !!
second !! one of my biggest gripes about miraculous is that ive always felt that chat noir is treated like a glorified sidekick . they make a big fuss about the " balance of the universe " being repressed by the black cat and the ladybug and yet its so clear that in the show's eyes the ladybug is way more important !!
some of this is just that marinette is just more of a leader/planner than adrien , butttt in the case of kaito and kokichi , theyre both planners and leaders in their own right ( i mean. obviously ) so !! i think that is an interesting dynamic to play with !!
in all honesty , i really see kokichi being more concerned over secret identities !! i mean , kaito is big on trust and kokichi is simply not .
all that being said , if one of them were to be akumatized , it would probably be kaito . he's simply more likely to be overcome by emotion , as kokichi is pretty good at burying that shit down . ( tho i think kaito is too , but that's a discussion for another day . )
i would be so down to hear any thoughts about this AU ever tho , so !! PLEASE send me asks about them , i need to yap !! ( thank you thank you )
#oumota miraculous au#ask#just me yapping#idk if this made any sense#it did in my head#so#my wisdom is simply uncomprehensible#again thank you so much for the ask !!

After seeing a lot of people upset with some missing favorite episodes, I decided to do a part 2 with the top choices from last part with some requested episodes that weren't included last time. I did this for both Adrinette and Ladynoir since they were the two sides that really had a bunch of episodes missing, obviously I can't include everything, but I felt like this would be a good way of seeing what the favorited episodes actually are.
Once again, to clarify, this does not mean your favorite episode, but rather, your favorite episode of this ship. Because this had to be whittled down so much to fit into the amount of spaces available for a poll, this doesn't include every Adrinette episode, so feel free to click other and put your episode in the tags!
This is for the purpose of satisfying my curiosity of ship trends in ml, so please share for a larger sample size!

my thoughts on episode derision
OKAY OKAY OKAY
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. LISTEN.
That episode was such a fucking ride! Just like many others, this kinda hit home for me too!
First off, you all know me- I’m such a huge fan of Kim because I love what a clown and idiot he is and see him like a himbo. But MY GOD. Throughout the episode, I wanted to fucking murder him. I wanted to tear him apart for the way he treated Marinette. I know that he wasn’t trying to be malicious and that he’s one of those people (before he apologised and decided to change) that believe that everyone should have the same humour of him and that he doesn’t have to respect boundaries and shit like that- BUT I WANTED TO THROTTLE HIM. HE IS ONE OF MY FAVES AND I WANTED TO KILL HIM!!!!!
People always forget how brutal 12/13 year olds can be whether the kid is being intentional or not! But I’m so, so SO glad Kim apologised afterwards and decided to change for the better. Mad respects to him! I’m so glad he understood what he did was wrong and the way he thought was wrong too.
As for Chloe.
Oh my dayssssss- CHLOE.
Genuinely, to some of you people- how can you believe that she would ever, ever do something nice or kind for either Marinette or Adrien out of selflessness? She TORMENTED Marinette and pretty much everyone else for like four years! I already knew it was bad from what was hinted beforehand in the show and never understood the whole ooc “hmmph! ofc i knew lila rossi was lying and dupain-cheng is telling the truth that’s why i’m on the latter’s side and now will be her new bestie BYEEEEE alyA!” fics.
She is such a horrible person and I LOVE HOW MUCH WORSE SHE’S GETTING. She’s just so lucky that Adrien vented out most of his angry steam against Dark Cupid before meeting up with her otherwise I doubt she would even be alive hahahahaahah! It’s just so insane when you realise how she pretty much controlled the ENTIRE school, especially those USELESS ASS TEACHERS. It was pretty realistic and makes me wanna scream! Man- Alya and Adrien joining the school really did change not only Marinette’s life for better, but pretty much everyone else’s in the school! Those two really are amazing!
And there’s Adrien.
OhhhHHHHHHHHHHHH EVERY HEADCANON I HAVE OF HIM IS BECOMING TRUER AND TRUER WITH EVERY EP! GO ON YOU OVERPROTECTIVE SLIGHTLY YANDERE BOY WHO IS TRYING TO DESTROY ANYTHING THAT HURT THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE!!!!! I felt like his anger and the way he first reacted was so Chat Blanc of him and it just resonated so well with me. His first thought every time someone hurts someone he loves? MURDER. And I fucking LOVE IT. GIVE THAT BOY SOME DARKNESS. DARK ADRIEN AU SO REAL LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
He was so overprotective, so patient, so sweet with Marinette and just so understanding <3 He absolutely has been observing her from the start when he started school and knows the best ways to approach her and talk to her and ugHHH <3333 THEY ARE SO PERFECT! He’s so happy and loves being by her side but he cares about her wellbeing and happiness the most and finding out how much she suffered in the past???? UGH LILA IS SO LUCKY HE DIDN’T FIND OUT SHE THREATENED MARINETTE.
And also, his wording to Marinette towards the end really struck me. The whole thing of his fears, mainly the “I’m afraid of losing you”. I believe that this may be foreshadowing in the future...
AND AND AND! THE WAY HE ENDED HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH CHLOE!??!!? DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE THAT WAS SO SATISFYING!!!!!!! I have been WAITING for this MOMENT! YES KID! CUT OUT THE TOXIC PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR LIFE! PROTECT THE GIRL YOU LOVE! EVEN IF YOU DON’T GET TO MURDER LIKE YOU HOPED TO LOL. Again- she’s so lucky that Dark Cupid got the worst brunt of his anger because if Chat Noir came face to face with her first? I doubt she’d still have a face after that.
I’m just loving how we’re seeing him becoming more overprotective, impulsive and immediately choosing murder over and over again this season and I really feel like we may be seeing Chat Blanc again sooner than later AND I AM LIVING FOR IT. I genuinely feel like something horrible is going to happen to Marinette and he will LOSE it.
And then there’s Marinette!
Oh my god, poor, poor Marinette.
She wasn’t just bullied- she was fucking tormented. For over three years straight. And pretty much no one was there to help her or protect her from her situation and she went through so much fucking shit! She was so traumatised to the point where she has become the way she is!!!! Her hyperfixation with Adrien wasn’t just because she loves him- it’s so she doesn’t get hurt again! My heart fucking broke for her! THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT FALL FOR DUMBASSES MARINETTE!!!! I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WERE LIKE 12/13 BUT GIRL!!!!!!!
Her life was literally in such a dump and it didn’t help that her parents probably didn’t realise the full story of it and that the teachers were so fucking useless and UGH!!!! Marinette literally went through such a horrifying experience and it’s no wonder she has PTSD!
I’m so glad that she at least had Soqueline <33333i fucking adore Soqueline she’s the big sister that Marinette probably always wanted! She should have been a temporary miraculous holder honestly! Girl tried her best to protect Marinette and even got suspended unfairly! I LOVE YOU SOQUELINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <33333333333333333333
I just hope that soon, SOON Marinette will realise that she’s so loved and that she’s surrounded by people who want nothing but the best for her <333 She was hurt by malice and hate in the past but now she’s surrounded by love and kindness <3333 And Adrien was hurt by grief, solitude and abandonment too but now he’s surrounded by life, love and friends <33333
#my rambles#ml spoilers#ml derision#derision spoilers#ml derision spoilers#this was such a fucking episode#i bet it hit hard for SO MANY people man

So glad you liked this https://princess-of-the-corner.tumblr.com/post/751753011437682688/also-sorry-last-ask-xd-but-remember-that-alt-3 :D Thanks, plus some fun facts:
1: In the original idea I tinkered with Lila being present as Volpina/Chameleon fighting Fu. She's still being exploited by the villains like Chloe but is either less aware of it or the method is slightly different.
2: I ended up going with the Lila-Kyubi-Chimera mostly because I recalled a neat post arguing S3's climax wasn't excited and should have had Chloe try to use all the Miraculous, do so, be a huge threat, then go comatose for the drama. Basically it felt more dramatic and clear cut as an ending, even if part of me liked the idea of expanding the villain team.
3: The other reason I went for it is because I think Season 3 can be arguably called Gabriel's true 'fall from grace'.
Like, even ignoring the later seasons, before season 3, Gabriel could at least make some wiggle room for himself to be "Not that bad" or "redeemable."
Sure, he unleashed monsters on Paris, but that was to get a wish that would undo that/be worth it. & he can argue they didn't do too much damage, that if he won he could use Miracle Cure, that he didn't make them try to murder his son's childhood friend out of spite, ETC.
He even considered dropping the whole thing when Adrien was endangered,.
Even the Lila situation could be argued as just keeping an eye on her to see if she's still angry at Ladybug and nothing else. Invasive but not permanently harmful as actively grooming her for it.
But in season 3, even if we ignore the time travel episodes... oh boy.
He actively endangers Adrien's life to see if he is Chat Noir.
He uses Lila as basically a child soldier/sleeper agent & even dangers her in the process with Oni-Chan.
He has said sleeper agent actively harass, undermine and threaten another teen for the express purpose of Akumatizes her & her class.
He also uses said agent, himself, his adult partner, and multiple monsters to actively threaten, manipulate, gaslight and traumatize another teen to sufficiently break her that she'd join his cause.
These are very much intending to cause trauma and groom children as tools to act as his soldiers. This is very much crossed the moral event horizon where deniability of being a bastard was plausible.
Thus any remaining 'redeeming' features he has are squashed beneath that weight. & while redemption is always possible, it becomes a helluva lot harder her than it was even a single season ago.
mm
Honestly I say that disregarding Chat Blanc that Gabe is only in the start of being in the 'oh no he needs his ass kicked' level. Because his purposeful endangerment of Adrien is controlled, and not much worse than the rest. And even Lila and arguably Chloé still fall into the category of all the other Akumas of 'hey they have problems might as well use it to my advantage'. Like it's a step up because he's being more directly involved in the situations, but it's not full horrible and he's just building on things that are already there.
I think the NY Special where he threatens WWIII is the definite 'oh you're FAR gone' line.

Finally watching season 5 of Miraculous Ladybug, I'm only halfway through but I'm so glad the show is finally validating Marinette's choices.
Multiple episodes in earlier seasons like Glaciator and the ice skating episode frame it like Chat is this poor heart broken boy being hurt by a careless girl even though she clearly tells him all the time she's not interested, he just doesn't listen or is upset that she doesn't change her mind. Then in Weredad Marinette's mom validates CHAT being in love with someone else and rejecting Marinette when no one validates LB being in love with someone else- Even when Chat says he's fine with it, he's still pouting and flirting in later episodes about it.
FINALLY Alya says Marinette should get to decide for herself instead of just doing what's convenient for other people. Marinette gets to insist she wants to choose and not be told how to feel. It's great! She and Chat are both in a messy place right now, so it's not like the ice skating or glaciator where he's being unreasonable and the writers act like he's not (which is obviously sexist but young fans would take at face value). Of course Marinette hates being told she can't really know Chat- not only does she actually know him more than he thinks, but how many times have we seen the superhero tell his love interest being with her is too dangerous instead of letting her decide on the danger for herself? Marinette wants to decide for herself what she can emotionally handle and it's heartbreaking to her that no one seems to listen or understand. I love when she and Chat calm down later and she's in a place to accept it's not about his idea of what she can handle or understand, it's about his comfort level with dating someone with a power imbalance in the relationship. It's perfectly done to justify how upset Marinette is and validate her feelings and choices while also making it clear Chat is exactly as valid as Marinette. It's not one-sided or unfair, they're just messy and upset and I love it.
I'm also extremely excited Marinette's behavior around Adrien does seem to be pathological. So many people in the fandom for years dunked on Marinette for being 'annoying' and 'creepy' and not deserving their poor sadboy Adrien, and I really like that it's exploring her neurotic behavior as a genuine psychological block she'll need several episodes to work through. Episodes like Chat Blanc make it seem like if they just knew everything she'd stop being a freak and maybe she would, but it comes off like Marinette's the problem to some people, like she'd stop being annoying and weird if she wasn't the one enforcing this strict identity rule and she's just causing everyone problems. Granted, I've been in the fandom from the start so maybe some people have outgrown their sexism, but the adult writers themselves haven't framed Marinette as sympathetically as they could a lot of the time. The depth, the emotional angst and troubled life, that's all saved for Adrien. It was great when she finally broke down and needed to tell Alya about her secret Identity in season 4, but we still don't get as much analysis on what Marinette is going through, it tends to be more surface level.
I LOVE being able to go through an arc about soul searching and mental quirks and self esteem with Marinette, it feels like the show is taking her more seriously and taking what felt like just an obvious awkward gag and really exploring it as a pathology. It's so interesting and gives more meat to Marinette, I'm so into it
