See so i think jikook are close def that much i can say, but i dont think they are in a relationship or a serious one at that , i mean we are pretty sure that jk had teh thing with the women (which people for some reason dont agree with or say its a cosplayer , who has teh exact same hairstyle, floorplan, walls, dog, sofa and lights , mannerisms, apartment and very soon after that jk said that "saesangs are still here" , so i dont whats there to disprove over here for those relegious jikook people) and then jm has with the actress who posts his apartment pics, and all of this happened esp with jk at that period when they admitted they werent talking at all, and wouldnt have if they hadnt met, throughout ct it felt that jk was sort of anxious, bored, distracted more like it and felt was upset, all of this also points that maybe they had a fallout a major one perhaps, but now they are better bc hell they went to military together. But all of this factually also puts out that jk and jm are not dating, jk is having his fun, with prob diff people, relationships and same prob with jm. Tae was with jennie, and even rm had a long committed relationship until recently it seems from rpwp songs. so all of this people fighting over taekook vs jikook and how jk seems abusive is redundant , bc they arent in a relationship either of them. what are you thoughts about it.

Jungkook may have been nervous at the start of their trip to Connecticut, because Jimin was too, as they both mentioned it’s the first time they’re hanging out after a bit of not seeing each other. But this attempt at highlighting JK only, and saying he seemed uninterested in whatever ways, has been the one thing Tkkrs clung to since the first episode, and it is baseless.

Jungkook is allowed to feel however he felt, but we also all watched the damn show. He was smiling and happy during every single episode thus far, and reiterated his joy many times over. He also said during the first episode that he wanted to keep traveling and filming with Jimin after enlistment. He wants to do it until they’re 50. Was he exaggerating? Most probably, and him being tired at some points was a given due to him being in the middle of promoting his solo work. Outside of that though, he was happy and willing to do the show.

Jungkook and Jimin traveled together because they chose to, because they wanted to. So whatever was going on behind the scenes between them, is something we will never know the full picture of. So if you don’t think they’re together, okay, but I don’t think you ever did, because I’m pretty sure you are a Tkkr anyway.

Regardless of what you ship though, smoke and mirrors are not good indicators that people are dating. Jimin and Jungkook flirt and put their mouths on one another. They choose each other over and over, so no matter the fact that there is a woman claiming to be or trying to insinuate she is Jimin’s girlfriend. Without him ever confirming that, she’s just a weirdo.

Not to mention, why would any of their actual partners post the way she does? If Park Jimin was my man, I do not need to vague post and try to show off bits and pieces of our lives to convince his fans of it. Never mind the fact that it’s his private life. So if they are together, unless Jimin is okay with her stirring shit up in the fandom and posting his house on IG… that’s not something a grown woman, who is famous adjacent herself, dating an incredibly famous person would do.

In comparison, Namjoon and his potential boyfriend situation is the near exact opposite of what that woman is or was doing. We have no idea who the man (or men) is in the pictures Namjoon himself posted. Maybe some people do, idk, but the point is, there is no way to determine who they are nor what they mean to Joon outside of fandom speculation. Yet the speculation makes sense and is believable, because Namjoon himself played into it. He wasn’t deterred by people questioning his sexuality nor relationship status, he posted a heart over a man’s face, and was posting all types of loves songs as he traveled with his family and a man. Yet when he seemingly had his heartbroken, he deleted all photos of the emoji covered man (or men), started talking shit about relationships, and posting sad queer music.

That, imo, is how I believe a relationship between any BTS member would go. Not the heartbreak, but a “quiet launch”. Tae and Jennie were even along similar lines. They unfortunately didn’t post their pictures themselves, but even in the middle of the drama, they kept seeing each other in public spaces. They just didn’t publicize their whereabouts.

So if two members of the group can seemingly date both famous and presumably non famous people, and take pictures and be seen out and about with them, why can’t Jimin? Why is his relationship shrouded in mystery, and only fueled by the woman claiming to live with him all the while he makes no move to imply there’s truth to the rumor?

If he and JK have absolutely nothing going on, why is he out here letting his girlfriend look goofy, all the while biting hickies on a man? While flirting with a man on live and asking him to get naked? While traveling with the same man, getting his ass slapped by him in bed? Enlisting in the military with said man, using a program that keeps them together the entire time?

So again, you don’t have to ship Jikook nor think anything of them, but if you’re going to pull in Taennie and Namjoon’s possible situation to use as examples of the members dating, keep it steady across the board. Jimin and Jungkook’s speculated relationships with women do not match up with Taennie nor Joon’s situation, yet Jikook does.

They travel, sight see, share meals, stay up late, take cute selfies, and cuddle up. So what makes Jikook less likely, aside from them being in the same group for a decade? Which only adds reason to why they may have had some communication issues or whatever, and needed time apart.

I flip through a bunch of diff ship accounts bc listen, ship whoever you want, personally I am partial to elucien but I can admit there’s a lot of evidence for other ships as well. I like seeing all art for ALL the ships!! But then today I see a post about how we need Gwyn’s book because she is a victim of SA and it would be great to read a book about her healing journey.

Idk maybe it’s just me but I get annoyed when someone is always reduced down to their SA so I pointed out that Rhys & Lucien also had SA trauma and there has been no healing journey for them?? How are we going to fill an entire book for Gwyn?? Like, Sarah doesn’t seem to delve too much into healing journeys from SA (in ACOTAR at least 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk about other series) and tends to use it as a plot point to create a traumatic background character. It’s something that greatly annoys me tbh

SJM doesn't write post-SA healing journeys. Again, you were right.

We've had male and female characters who were SAed, in TOG, Lysandra and Fenrys come to mind, in ACOTAR it's Rhys and Lucien and Gwyn, in CC it was Lidia (similar situation as Rhys/Lucien).

These aren't books for deep exploration of post-SA healing. I am sorry. This is an incredibly tough subject, without a singular answer. SO anything she'd do, wouldn't be taken well. Some will say 'too quick!' others will say 'not quick enough!' and everyone will have an opinion. The only reason Nesta got an extended healing (and not from SA) was because SJM used the same methods she used for her own issues. Working out, meditation, being with friends, balancing the physical and the mental, relying on her SO. Beyond that, all of SJMs 'healing' is training and being in love. Or nothing at all.

Gwynriels cant accept the fact that Gwyn is a secondary character. She is not more important than Emerie, or Mor, or anyone else, who's had terrible trauma. Her main was Nesta. Nesta's healed and Gwyn is secondary to Nesta. Gwyn's healing journey is over. She because stronger mentally and physically, she trained, she reached and conquered her 'mountain'. and that is all she needed to do.

They dont want to understand and accept that no one is interested in an 800 page of Gwyn's post-SA healing journey. Even they aren't. That's the truth. They want her with Azriel. Getting it on, having sex, being mated. They don't want to read any 'healing journey'. They want her going on missions, swinging her sword, being a badass, being with Azriel, having Gwynriel sex and having a normal fantasy heroine book. it's all performative. They just want Gwynriel. Is all.

Mashwood is a classic, and i have to thank stampede for the amount of merywood interaction that fuels this ot3. i love the hc that they still see each other after stampede's July incident but i would also love some content where they see each other again after a while but each of them has turned into a different person. i think it would be nice for them three (plus milly) to meet at the same time in stampede. like wolfwood visits a tavern in a small town, merilly just happens to pass there on their trip and decides to get some sundae, and then there's eriks and rina. meryl has a diff style, wolfwood is in his cowboy era, vash is Like That, so they might not recognize each other until they hear someone speaks. although, after an episode of hectic gunfight ending with fluff, they realize that they're still them, no matter how much change. and then they get mad at vash for disappearing.

Merilly is definitely my second fav pairing in the old trigun after vashwood and i really really hope stampede would give us more sauce. in the old animanga we had a glimpse into both meryl and milly's family and how different the relationships are!! and you know how meryl isnt always straightforward with her words (even leaning ever so slightly into the tsundere archetype in the 98 anime) while milly sometimes seems like she doesn't think when she speaks but it always hits close to home? and also that meryl speaks a bit more formal than milly? also that meryl has a complicated relationship with her father to whom she doesn't speak much, whereas milly addresses every single member of her family and writes freely? we know the last thing meryl said in tristamp, "Hey, newbie!" she's already thinking about how to face her new colleague!! to be a senpai!! it makes sense if you think how in 98 trigun meryl would sometimes say "this is work, milly!" don't you think they go so well together. don't you think we need more fic/art where they have a heart-to-heart talk during their long work trip, perhaps on the topic of family or stuff like "is this really only work to you?" like in the old one. idk. i've seen some people say that in tristamp, milly and roberto might be related which is why milly requested to work under meryl. if milly IS related to roberto i hope it will make merilly closer than they appeared to be in the old trigun. also, regarding stampede s1 finale: roberto is dead. to meryl, vash is also dead. we dont know where wolfwood is, i love the idea of them meeting from time to time, but we clearly saw meryl alone at the end of ep 12. the angst of meryl as a senpai trying to protect her kouhai, like her senpai did (bonus point if milly is actually related to roberto) so that she wont repeat the past. and milly convincing meryl that whatever happened in the past wasn't her fault and that she did the right thing as best as she could, and that she is a senpai milly loves looks up to. ough. they complement each other and are able to make trigun stampede season 2 a yuri anime.

im not really big into crackship so I've never considered milly/elendira but now that you mention it... yeah why not. its not like a total crackship either they do make sense somewhat.

1. my fav sjm book is absolutely queen of shadows, it has everything + my fav scene in any book and therefore i adore it with my whole heart 110%

3. aelin is my fav character by far, but i feel like its too easy to say that so my close second is nesta and i take no criticism

Honestly all the online harassment has given me such a thick skin- I ship byler so...

first them make fun of me for being autistic , then make fun of me for being gay. Then they send de*th threats. When I said that wouldn't work. Then they twist my words, strip it of context- to smear and malign me. Or just straight up fabricate lies, saying I said something I never did. They also have pretty much call me every "-ist" in the book.

And ofcourse since I've been very public about being a csa victim . they call me a ped*phle just to trigger me and make me relive my trauma as a survivor. Cause they know it will hurt me. All because I don't ship m*leven, but a gay ship. Because newsflash: I'm gay and want wholesome gay rep.

What's hilarious is I don't even fixate on byler as much as these people claim I do. I analyze a bunch of other st stuff in the show , that isn't even related to ships at all .

Is it that hard to just stay in your corner of the Fandom and enjoy your time there? You could ignore/block me . Ship wars are just dumb. I'm not stopping anyone from enjoying their ship, i never cross tag. Or instigate fights. You just stalk, and make fun of me and my blog . You're obsession makes you look like insecure-bullies.

But, I still wish them the best and hope they grow as people. Hopefully, they'll realize how problematic this behavior is someday. At the end of the day this is just a show. People need to just respect the fact, others may have diff interpretations/ theories /opinions then them , about it . And just accept that.

(Diff anon) I just wanted to join in on the halloween beat down discussion real quick because you got me thinking a lot lol! I think a problem this fandom has a little bit (and I’m totally guilty too!) is ignoring Daniel’s trauma? I love Johnny, like he’s totally one of my favourite characters, but I have just realised some people (me also!) treat him like “little baby who never did anything wrong 🥺” a bit TOO much sometimes? I now get that Kreese manipulated and eventually attacked him, and that’s horrible and traumatising, but it doesn’t mean Daniel deserved what happened to him, or made it any less traumatising for him? Do you know what I mean? Certain people will fight to the death trying to make it look like Daniel instigated it, but in reality, like in the real world, pouring water one someone’s head as a little bit of petty revenge for months of harassment and violence really isn’t worthy of being beaten unconscious? I think it can both be true that Johnny was manipulated by Kreese and isn’t a bad guy, AND what he did to Daniel was extremely cruel and unwarranted? It wasn’t just like... one mutual fight, like if it had have been the one incident at the beach it would have been a totally different story, but to be repeatedly violently attacked for no real substantial reason? People can say “oh Daniel was a little asshole too” until they’re blue in the face lol, but it doesn’t change the fact that Johnny not just bullied him, but the bullying was violent and probably terrifying, no one can tell me they can look at the state of Daniel when he threw away his bike and was crying and obviously distressed that this was “pull her pig tails because you like her” teasing, I think at time people (also me) start to think there was a mutual teasing/banter, or that Daniel enjoyed the attention to some extent and I don’t think that’s really true? I absolutely think it could be interpreted as Johnny having feelings of some kind for Daniel which he took out on him through violence, but that’s incredibly sad for everyone involved, and in reality is not sexy or cute? And although I give everyone the absolute right to write as much young!Lawrusso fanfiction as they want where it’s sexy and cute, like it’s not hurting anyone so do whatever, I think maybe we should also be aware that in the real world this wouldn’t be the case if you know what I mean? I don’t know what I’m even saying! Basically, although Kreese told Johnny to do it etc, Daniel being harassed, publicly humiliated, beaten unconscious, thrown off a cliff/hill whatever you want to call it on his bike, and having his knee destroyed, on top of months of fear, unfortunately means that irrespective of Johnny’s peer pressure or influence from Kreese to do certain thing, or that his step dad was a bully toward him, did not give him a right to inflict this on Daniel, and what Johnny did to him was extremely cruel. Again, I LOVE Johnny, I feel bad even saying all this about him because I love him so much lol, and I don’t think he is evil or even a bad guy by any means, but his reasons aren’t excuses, and I think maybe some people who ship them (me included!) could take a second to think of how frightening and confusing this bullying was for Daniel? Sorry sorry for the extreme long ask! You just got me thinking about this, I had never looked at it this way before and never considered this, and I don’t know, this is just my word vomit because I realised I never really considered Daniel’s end of it to the extent I did Johnny’s intentions if that makes sense? I was like “Johnny had his reasons so it’s not that bad” kind of? But that doesn’t change what if felt like from Daniel’s end! Sorry again for the long ask!

Hey anon, I totally get what you mean! I basically agree with everything you've written here, I think it's all about a balance between having empathy for Johnny and not excusing his actions.

And to be fair to yourself, the reason you probably hadn't thought so much about it all from daniel's pov is that, well, Cobra Kai is about Johnny. It's about deconstructing his side of the story and showing that everything was maybe not as it appeared, and that he was a more complex and vulnerable figure in high school than first met the eye. But also that as a premise works, imo, because it's so obvious from the Karate Kid that he's bullying Daniel. Yes I know there was a whole upswelling or whatever about how “Daniel was the real villain" but I think even then that was about extending understanding to Johnny, because, please. We've all watched the movie. They push the boy off a cliff.

In terms of his feelings toward Danny in hs...yeah now I dont see that as a pigtails thing at all, but (just speaking for myself here) I don't feel like I've seen that interpretation a lot? I feel like because of how fandom exists in 2021 most people are familiar with the whole "feelings toward other boys --> filtered through internalized homophobia --> violence" dynamic, and most HS fics I've read reflect that. But maybe there's a strong strain of that that I haven't seen, idk!

And yeah, I agree with you, I also love Johnny deeply (I love both of them!!), acknowledging that a character has done bad things does not mean you can't still sympathize with them/like them/want good things for them ETC.

i like it. i do. i think that if its well written and actually acknowledges how problematic azula and ty lees friendship was in the show and actively works to overcome that and grow from that then i enjoy it. but if its just written as a toxic ship or doesnt address all the shitty things azula did then its a no from me. i dont like toxic ships and in canon their friendship is INCREDIBLY toxic and while i love azula, in order for me to like a fic with azula in it and shes being portrayed as a “good guy” then youve gotta acknowledge what she did to make her evil in the first place. i hate when people gloss over the fact that she was an imperialist and was super manipulative towards people who were supposed to be her friends. in canon she was a horrible person and yes she was abused and yes she was just a kid and yes she did not deserve to be abused but that doesnt change the fact that she was still not a good person. i feel like theres a good amount of tyzula content out there that does an incredible job of addressing this and making sure they craft a good redemption arc for azula and depicts the relationship in a healthy way. other than that ive never had any issues with tyzula shippers and i do say that i ship them myself. ive hardly heard about any drama among peoppe who say tyzula is their otp and ship it hardcore (i have heard some toxic stuff tho so it isnt perfect but its also very rare for that kinda stuff to pop up on my dash) so at least from my understanding its a good fanbase a majority of the time. on a much more positive note i really enjoy their dynamic. i like how azula can be rough around the edges and very regal and proper and still bitchy and then ty lee is there to be bubbly and creative and bring joy into azulas life. i think they balance each other out well and in canon we can see very clearly how much they admire each other (despite the toxicity in canon). azula wishes she were more like ty lee and ty lee thinks azula is amazing and gorgeous. i think theyre a good pairing when done correctly.

MY LOVES. i adore zukka. i think they have so many parallels in canon such as being over shadowed by their prodigy younger sisters, their insecurities, their profficiency in weaponry, their anxiety about following in their fathers footsteps (in diff ways obviously). i think their personalities mesh well together. dramatic dickhead zuko. genius snarky bastard sokka. i love them. and the content we get from zukka creators is SO GOOD. the art the fics everything. i love it so much. i personally relate very much to zuko in the sense that he has lots of anger and is dramatic and i relate to sokka a lot too in the semse that im sarcastic and smart and hide my emotions a lot and sometimes feel second best to my friends. i see myself in both of them and when i see them together being happy it makes me feel happy.

zukka fans on the other hand. there are good zukka fans out there. there are wonderful funny amazing zukka fans out there. but holy fuck the number of zukkas out there who conpletely fetishize the ship and strip away all of their character traits so they can make them into a weak little baby boy zuko and a suave macho man sokka (which btw are both racist characatures. if you havent seen all the poc on this app who have called these characterizations out then please please please reevaluate how ur interacting w zukka because not only is it so out of characfer for both of them. it is literally racist). and while there are so many good fics and fanarts for zukka, there is an OVERWHELMINGS number of racist, transphobic, biphobic, homophobic, and all around problematic content everywhere. and some fans are so toxic that it makes me rlly dislike being a zukka sometimes. i will always love the ship but sometimes i feel a little embarassed to be associated with it. i know that i do my best to stay far away from the toxic fans but it gets so frustrating sometimes. i know not every zukka is like this, literally all of my zukka mutuals are wonderful and amazing. but the amount of toxic fans is turning so many people off of the ship and causing people who genuinely enjoyed it to be turned off by it and its giving the good zukkas a bad name. im very upset by the reputation zukka fans have gained on this website from the toxic fans who antagonize other ships (primarily zks. i love zk. just because zks ship zuko with katara doesnt mean that its awful. toxic zukkas plz leave zks alone. so many of them are so nice. i know theres always toxic fans in every fandom and for every ship but like,,, its just so much easier to stay in ur own lane yk?). with that being said i love zukka as a ship but the fans have made it hard for many people to enjoy so sometimes its frustrating. but i love zukka. i think they are a wonderful ship and they are my favorite one in atla.

irt what one anon just said, and like i kinda hold a diff opinion than you on some of this but not in such an extreme way i’d like fight u on it lmao just Would Like To Discuss/throw in my two cents for consideration, but i feel like framing matters a lot in these arguments about content. most (can’t say all as there are definitely exceptions) people aren’t saying its a direct like ‘see someone in movie kill people -> im gonna kill people now hehe’ influence when people talk about how media effects reality. its more about like why propoganda has been effective, where when you frame things as good/desirable/okay in subtle ways and that normalizes them as ideas. if a narrative is framing something as bad (ie how south park is satire and often shows lots of bad stuff but usually makes an attempt to point at how the bad stuff is Still Bad And Stupid) and just exploring the topic (such as with like. abusive/toxic/problematic ships, i dont think its fair to be like ‘none of that at all!’ bc there are interesting dynamics to explore and analyze that don’t romanticize it, and like thats totally cool!) like i have never had a problem with that. that doesn’t fall under the ���media effects reality’ the same way because the point of that media isn’t to encourage that behaviour.

But a problem comes in when people romanticize that type of content and perpetuate bad stuff as being okay, and i’m not even saying censorship is the best answer, but if theres gonna be no censorship then there need to be a lot more safeguards to keep content like that away from kids on sites like ao3 which do also host pg content. if it was like an exclusively explicit/adult site then sure go buckwild my dudes, but when they have all ages content it really should be stricter about tagging requirements. because man i have seen so much untagged incest porn come up when looking for pg stuff not related to that AT ALL even with tags filtered (and not even for sp, ive been involved with other fandoms more recently and the one im talking about here is not even an adult-oriented series like sp is), and like I’m an adult who can deal with it but that shit is damaging for kids to be exposed to. like i still support ao3 as a website in general but i absolutely don’t think they’re beyond criticism, ya know?

I will agree with you on the first part, yes it’s not black and white in any sense. I’m really fired up so I’m going to the other extreme but I do recognize that it’s not that simple. There absolutely is areas where it does become gray and it’s not as easy to say “all or nothing”. I wouldn’t say fiction Doesnt affect reality because there are aspects that do, but you are right that a lot of the time that statement is taken to the extreme and people completely equate it 1:1. Honestly I believe that as long as no real life person is being hurt and those safeguards are in place (proper tagging and warnings) like go wild. “Romanticizing” is a very opinion based statement too so it really does depend on the person on their interpretation of a work.

Ao3 does have policy about tagging works and using the proper rating system, so that is not a problem with Ao3 themselves but with the people misusing the platform. I agree, works need to be tagged properly or at least using the “chose not to use archive warnings” tag so people know things inside the fic are freegame. Ao3 *does* have the way to keep kids out, in the same way a porn site would- there is the warning about explicit content right before you click into a fic. If you click that button you are either Lying about your age or agreeing that you are okay to seeing the content. (also again my library argument, published books dont have that luxury). I don’t think it’s beyond criticism either and there are improvements being made all the time (again, it’s run by a team of dedicated volunteers) but ultimately calling for something to end that can be really truly avoided by not even looking at the website is the ultimate beef I have. I am all for improving the site and making that content easier to hide, or harder for minors to get into, but ultimately again a kid could go to the library, grab a book and read just about anything. I think in some ways ao3 is *better* in that sense. Not perfect, but something worth protecting.

hey i saw ur post abt just finishing the atla series so i was just wondering if u have any thoughts about the canon/fan made relationships in ATLA (kataang,zutara,maiko, sukka/zukka etc)??i see alot of good and weak points from their shippers and wanted to know ur opinion too since ive been following u for long n see that most of ur takes on the books u read r quite cool and make good sense ! feel free to ignore this is u dont want to answer/dont have any opinion ik how the shippers can be like

Honestly one of the main reason i didnt wanted to/and lowkey still dont want to get much deeper into the atla fandom was bc of the ship wars so when i started watching the show i was wondering as to how amazingly the characters’ dynamics between each other would be written/depicted for so many people in the fandom to have such strong opinions about the ships, but now that i’ve finished the series i really dont think any particular canon or potential relationship left any strong impression on me since they all had mediocre writing and build up

I dont think there was a single relationship which made me go “omg their dynamic is so amazing they are so perfect for each other” .Every single relationship followed the “boy and girl meet,talk and hang out for a little while and then kiss and start going out” timeline most straight couples follow in fiction.Of course katara and aang were friends for months before they started to date but there really isnt much you can write for a romance between a 12 and a 14 year old to make it look spectacular and appealing so i guess the writers did their best but it wasnt enough .They could have made the series span duration of some years instead of months to show them maturing more before they dated but they didnt so i found it cute but not convincing.

I can say that zuko and mai’s relationship was the most realistic (not best but most sensical n realistic) out of all the others because they are exactly how you’d expect two 16 year olds with emotion issues and trauma to behave in their relationship.The fact that they broke up one year after the war because zuko was having a hard time balancing his relationship with being the fire lord of a country which was going through after effects of a 100 year war , reunited 3 years later and got married was realistic made sense.

I do wish we had more info about the foundation of their relationship bc we just see mai having a crush on zuko when they were kids and the next thing you know they are kissing while they are returning to the fire nation so like what happened?? were they dating before zuko’s banishment and decided to give a break till zuko was back or?? 

As for zuko and katara,,, well i can see why people might ship them but honestly there really wasnt much groundwork done for them for me to see the potential since katara only starts to trust zuko like 2 episodes before the finale and all of zuko’s interactions with katara are as platonic as his interactions with the other members of aang’s group.Also if katara ended up with zuko i really cant imagine her living with zuko in the palace and surroundings which were mostly responsible or serve as a reminder of her mother’s death by the fire nation army.

Like my main problem with the concept of katara and zuko is just that its basically between a girl who has 12 years worth of trauma associated with the colonization and genocide of her people and family carried out by the fire nation AND a boy whose family and army were responsible for said colonization and genocide.Just because zuko ended up redeeming himself doesnt mean katara’s trauma can go away in a poof yk? But as i said, they could have been a good couple if there was more foundation for it n things were somewhat diff.

As for the other ships, well sokka and suki are cute but their relationship still was quite rushed and left more room for exploration. I wont say much abt zuko and sokka but i wish we had more material for it and zuko joined their group much earlier. In conclusion, ATLA has a very very good writing and dynamics when it comes to friendships and falls short in terms of relationships. but then again, the target audience was kids and teens so i dont think they could focus much on romance anyways

AHHHHHHH that’s such a hard Q for me bc i have so many that i love and they from various genres, tropes, ships, and fandom that it’s all over the place QQ, but i try to pick a few favorites that i go hard for but has a little everything for everyone: 

Colony War byKaraStorm [kirk/spock, star trek] - this is a suuuuuuper long series set in the TOS and nu-star trek but it ask the question what if we have a younger and far more inexperience kirk & spock and how would they still manage to navigate their way toward each other and the place where they will eventually be together (ON THE ENTERPRISE AND AS CAPTAIN AND FIRST OFFICER). it does such a good break down and development of their character esp when we see how young and new at this they are and they have to not only navigate A WAR, politics, and this new relationship too. i love this series so, sooo fucking much. every update get me so excited esp how the write made their universe come alive with so many subplots, chars, and everything that weave together to make this into such a wonderful masterpiece in the making. i highly rec it if you’re into a war and politics and ppl being so fucking competent that it makes you melt. 

the last dragon blood king by claimedbydaryl [bkdk, BNHA] - this is probably THE bkdk fantasy au for me and even then it’s def top bkdk fics of all time of all my fav fics in this fandom. it’s long, engrossing, plotty, and the kind of sweeping romance that make my heart flutter. I ABSOLUTELY love the worldbudling super top notch shit. i recced this back like a long time ago describing as feel like reading an original novel that i can cuddle up in bed and keep on turning the pages but it exists in it’s own carefully crafted universe w/ original plot but all the chars we know are recognizable. okok so bkdk’s relationship??? OH MAN, here they are forced to marry each other and they don’t understand or know each other yet but slowly and surely they do and a love grows between and them IT’S GREAT. they learn about each other diffs and then bond over their own horror about the war and i just love everything about this. it’s my go to AU when i feel like i need some feels good. 

Possible  byterriblelifechoices  [credence/original percival graves, HP] omfg this series is sooOOOOO SOOO GOOD. i love this to the SHIT, like god so many great chars (OCs that are interesting, lively and 3d). it feels like a full fledged world that the original movies never touch and i love credence and percivial’s relationship it’s sooo lovely fill with communication and tenderness for each other. it kick started with fuck or die but it’s treated v v v carefully and got mpreg in there but even that is greatly executed. there’s plot, wizarding world in america worldbuilding and it goes to show that you dont need a *relationship* drama to make a captivating story and insert conflict there. the conflict IS THE OUTSIDE WORLD BUT NOT EACH OTHER. sooo great, A+++ would die for it. 

our golden age byaugustbird [stucky, MCU] - modern day royalty about a prince and a commoner and how they’re childhood friends but their station are so wildly diff!! they’re torn but longing for each other so deeply that it physically hurt to read its sometimes. it’s poignant, beautiful and slow and idk i love to so much bc bucky is a prince and steve still somehow become the hero he always is!!! super great read all around.     

Swim In The Smoke bywhoknows [harry/louis, 1d] - PIRATE + abo and SUCH A GREAT HUMOR AND SNAPPY EXCHANGES. it’s fun, exciting, and has all that abo elements that i love esp the omega chasing the alpha and harry NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO W/ LOUIS EXCEPT RUNNING AWAY AND LIKE JUMPING OVERBOARD lmao it’s great!!!! whoknows is THE 1D writer for me and i just appreciate everything that they write and this is one of my fave fics of theirs that i come back to again and again.

2. How exactly would you describe your relationship with both Ford and Stan? Does the entire town of Gravity Falls know? What are some of your favorite ways both boys like to spend time with you at the same time?

3. Do either of the Pines boys know how to dance? Do they even like to? Can either of them be prompted to dance, even if it's just a silly thing in the kitchen?

AS FOR YOUR QUESTIONS!!! lets take a dive (sorry it got long once again woops)

1: hooooo that is TOUGH. i always liked selkies and seals, so I'd def be a seal mermaid of sorts. ive seen the fandom depict stan as a shark merman, which i really like!! as for ford, hmmmm maybe a beluga whale?? im afraid i dont know much abt marine wildlife to give a better concrete answer ;;;; (ford wld def have a better idea than me, as marine life wld be one of his interests)

2: i feel like im the "mid ground" between the twins. like my personality can balance out with the other. im more sociable and outgoing when im with ford, but im more carefree and easygoing with stan. ford reminds me of the importance and value of knowledge. stan reminds me how to let loose and take a few risks.

because of that, it helps when ford and stan butt heads some times. i can sort of act as a "buffer" for them, helping them see the other's perspective. ford and stan are like red and blue, they can sometimes clash, but i can help make things become purple. (if that makes sense?? i mean like help them get along basically)

as for the town, certain citizens notice a little "something" between me and ford during our pining years. people outside of our circle just assume were dating, which leads to a lot of embarrassing explanations of how "no were not dating and no im not flushing red, you are, why is it so humid in here." the tension is obvious to almost everyone who can see (except for me and ford) and it INFURIATES them. but then once we DO start dating, it becomes major town gossip. people pay bets, hushed whispers float through the air, some people even come up to congratulate us as if we got married. but then things change when...

stan arrives. NOW. here it can diverge into diff pathways. but for this post im going to talk about how its affected in canon. portal happens blah blah blah, stan has to pretend to be ford. i eventually learn what happened, and stan and i have to play pretend. FAKE DATING ENSUES~~~~ and then some mutual pining because uh oh we really get along and maybe its because hes pretending to be ford but hes NOT ford, so who am i really crushing on here? stan himself or "stanford"? some angst ensues of course but dw, my s/i is very good at healthy communication so the angst is mostly on stans part....sorry bud. as if the whole "stolen identity" thing didnt have enough baggage already, i had to go and fall in love w the guy too ;;;;A;;;;

as for ways we spend time together, theres the occasional night out on the town, doing whatever the town has to offer! theres also hiking, just enjoying the nature together, monster free. but sometimes we just sit inside and watch tv, binge whatever we want. so many movie marathons......its really all just about being close and relaxing after the intensities of life (and weirdmaggedon) theres a layer of "were here. were safe. i got you."

3: my s/i is very much a dancer, because she's a huge musical chick!! singing and dancing, heck performing, since a very young age. stan def takes advantage of this cuz hes a dancer too, and we KILL IT on the dance floor. its electric, fun, and super meaningful on my part, as i LOVE a good dance partner. we also do the "silly kitchen dancing" much to fords annoyance. fords not big on dancing, claims he has two left feet. but uh oh whats this, theres a vinyl of slow dance songs on this record player and, woops, i accidentally placed the needle on the vinyl and oh noooo theres music playing and its just the two of us in this living room oh noooo.....looks like we gotta dance abt it smh

jokes aside, i can manage to coax him into a little slow dance when were alone in the house (and sometimes out in a secluded part of the forest). it becomes so chill to us that we just start talking about anything as we slow dance. theres laughter, flushed faces, gentle glances and its all just sweet. we hold each other so close we just end up hugging and moving in circles, not really dancing. its safe, comforting and warm.
