saw the one about how the rise turtles are with reader's birthday and as someone who has massive birthday blues and absolutely avoids telling anyone my birthday, i instantly thought of this

seperate, romantic and platonic hcs of how the rise boys are when they realize they dont know female reader's birthday and neither does April. cue either solo or group missions into trying to find out her birthday. theres shenanigans of them trying to various methods like spending a whole year trying to observe in what day reader acts particularly different to try to guess when is it, trying to get through her legal documents (no avail she kicked them out lmao), simply asking her only to either get a different date each time or a hard no, etc.

when they eventually do find out, they come to know that its because reader doesnt really like herself and it just makes her overthink all sorts of things like how much time they wasted, their mortality, etc. and practically begs the turtles to not celebrate it.

they respect her wishes but still cant help that after finding out when her bday is, they act more sweeter and plan dinnner get togethers as a casual and "subtle" way to celebrate it and the reader appreciates all of it

it’s a big brother thing, okay? Raph needs to know certain things. your favorite color, if you like coffee or tea or hot cocoa, when your birthday is. he just needs that information.

but after a year of being friends he realizes he actually doesn’t know when your birthday is. and after asking the others and realizing they don’t know either, he makes it his job to find out.

the first thing he does is ask, because he figures you’ll just tell him. much to his surprise, though, you don’t. you tell him it’s not important and leave it at.

and Raph genuinely doesn’t know what to make of it. of course it’s important, it’s your special day!

if you won’t tell him, he’ll just have to figure it out himself. he drops by your place and tries to look at your calendar. it’s not marked there, but before he can check anywhere else you realize what he’s doing and put a stop to it pretty quickly.

he tries two more times to find clues in your room but you thwart him every time and so he leaves it alone.

he pays attention to the other people in your life, hoping they might wish you a happy birthday while he’s in earshot or give you a gift.

and this is what ends up working for him. he catches your parents wishing you a happy birthday and he absolutely lights up.

he decides to throw you a surprise party and goes to get supplies with April’s help, but on their way back to the lair they bump into you and you realize upon seeing the party supplies that they must have realized today was your birthday.

so you quickly tell them both not to tell the others. your birthday is a tricky day for you, you don’t like the extra attention and the last thing you want is a party.

Raph doesn’t get it. he sees birthdays as things to be celebrated but you’re visibly upset at the idea of celebrating and so he asks April to take the party supplies to her place.

and while she does that, Raph takes you down to his room to talk it over. he tries to understand things from your point of view, which you appreciate.

you try to explain that you have a rocky relationship with yourself, and that because of it you don’t particularly enjoy.

and honestly? Raph can understand that. but he also tells you that your birthday is important to him because you’re important to him.

it’s sweet, but you’re still adamant about not celebrating. so Raph settles on a compromise.

if you’re dating, he takes you out on a date. it’s just the two of you, and it’s very lowkey. he’ll take you somewhere nice in the hidden city and will end the night by giving you a little gift. he never outright wishes you a happy birthday, and instead uses the day as a chance to let you know how much he loves you.

if things are platonic between you guys, he just invites you to hang out with him and the others and makes sure they watch your favorite movie while eating pizza. again it’s lowkey and your birthday isn’t mentioned, it’s just his own way of making sure you get to enjoy a nice day where he and the others can celebrate you without you feeling overwhelmed.

Leo is an astrology bitch and he needs to know your birthday early on, so he asks you early on.

you lie to him, and he knows it because the vibes don’t fit at all. but he figures if he asks you again you’ll probably lie again, so he just evaluates you over the span of a few months and then narrows it down to a series of dates he thinks are your birthday.

and he takes that finished list to the one person he knows would be able to tell him if he was right or not - Donnie.

because Donnie knows these things about everyone. why? no one knows, no one dares to ask.

and lo and behold, one of the dates Leo has suspected was indeed your birthday.

which is great, but this leaves a big question in his mind - why did you lie in the first place?

he swings by your place the day after he gets his answer so he can talk to you about it.

and you have to admit, you’re stunned he was able to figure you out so easily. zodiac signs are not supposed to be that accurate.

he’s pretty pleased with himself, but Leo only lingers on that for a little bit before he gets more serious and asks you why you lied to him.

you don’t want to talk about it, but you know if you don’t explain yourself to him he’ll probably tell the others and make a big deal of it and you don’t want that.

so you confess. you have a lot of anxiety surrounding mortality and your birthday makes it a lot worse. so you usually just hunker down and try to ignore the day until it passes.

and Leo kind of gets it. he’s been more worried about mortality than he used to be himself.

so he does his best to make you feel heard. but at the same time, he does want to celebrate your birthday. he wants you to feel alive that day instead of hiding away. so you both agree to let the others know, but to not actually celebrate if you don’t want to.

instead, everyone agrees that you can come spend the day in the lair and decide what gets done that day. if you want to just sit around all day, they join you. if you want to go somewhere, they take you. it’s your day, and Leo and the others are happy to just be there with you.

but if there’s any romance between you and Leo, he does start gifting you with plants on your birthday. they’re never big, but they’re beautiful signs of life and he hopes that they’ll remind you to enjoy the beauty in living even when you’re trying not to think about what comes after.

What He Looks For In An S/O~

• Neji is a pretty stoic, introverted guy, so he’d need someone who was more on the introverted side as well. However, he would love an S/O who could bring him out of his shell a little

• He definitely seems like someone who would prefer to date a fellow shinobi so he didn’t have to worry about them and since they most likely aren’t apart of the Hyuga clan, them being a ninja would help his clan be a little more approving

• He needs a PATIENT S/O

• Neji is new to relationships and someone who understands that and wouldn’t rush him would be ideal

• Although Naruto changed Neji for the best, he can still be a little insensitive sometimes, so a partner who has a thick skin is important

• Immaturity is a big no-no. Neji comes from a clan who only recognizes maturity and formalities so he would be uncomfortable with an overly childish S/O

Being as compassionate as he is, Tamaki would love easing you into becoming more verbally expressive. The improvement isn’t necessarily for him, since his higher understanding of other people means he can interpret how you feel too. But, he knows that taking that change is important to you, whether you’ve outright said it or not

Tamaki will become a lot more adventurous with you and all of your interests. The rest of his friends are actually concerned about his physical health 😅

During the winter months, you and Tamaki made it a habit of going out on days below freezing, and cuddling at a library/cafe

Every time I talk to her about my (non-clinical, probably) anxiety and what caused it (this girl bullying me for six years) she goes on to mention all the ways she was bullied as a kid and all the terrible shit she's gone through to say in the end "so I understand" when like all of that shit is way different from my experience so every time she says it inside I'm just like "yes but actually no"

Like, today i was talking about my bully to her and how I've started realizing that all my responses now are responses i was forced to give as a kid because of the situation i was in with my bully, and she went in depth and told me (all stuff she had already told me about before and also when i had been talking about my anxiety stuffs before) about how her mom forced her to sleep in curlers so she would have banana curls and made her wear dresses and how she got mugged really bad when she was older and all this stuff that is very valid trauma and sucks ass and i thank her for trying to understand me but at the same time all the shit that happened to her was surface level. Neither of us could control what was happening to us, because her mom made her dress like that and I couldn't just make this girl suddenly not have issues, but like a dress is still something you can change??? Take off??? Like it isnt attatched to you as a person. I cant change the fact that i exist, which this girl bullying me apparently hated me for. To her my existence was just like "oh i must hurt this person" not because of what i wore, what i looked like, etc etc.

She also kept subtly bringing up the fact that i had never been PHYSICALLY hurt by my bully and implying that because she HAD her pain was worse and i could have had it worse if my bully physically hurt me and ACTED on the threats to hurt me (which my mom's bullies did) and while yes that was true . My bully didn't threaten to physically hurt me at all so there were no threats TO act on she just talked to me like i was shit all the time and beat my self esteem about my personality into a meaningless pulp . I kind of wanted to scream in my moms face "YOUR PAIN WAS MOSTLY PHYSICAL WHILE MINE WAS EMOTIONAL, BOTH ARE VALID AND DIFFERENT" but i know she does know that-- but maybe it would have gotten the point across idk

I wish so badly that i could just tell my mom "I dont want/need you to understand, i just need you to be here" and like i could but . I'm not there yet

Another thing that annoys me is that??? Every time??? I say something??? Or tell her how I'm feeling at the moment??? She just asks me??? "Why?"??? And yes its good to talk about stuff but I'm trying to explain to you in a polite way why i want to leave the conversation and that its making me uncomfortable and i just want to go to bed and you just go "but why are you uncomfortable?" Or like if i tell her I'm upset and i want to stop talking about it she goes "why are you upset? I dont want you to be upset" and I'm just. I literally just said i dont want to talk about this anymore can i please leave you cant control that I'm upset about this because continuing talking to you is just going to make me more upset because no matter what way i try to explain it i cant get my points across right to you and i dont want to say you dont understand bcs thats immature but you kind of dont understand

I want to tell her "This conversation isnt having the outcome i wanted it to have and i want to leave it before it makes me more upset so that i can go think on it for later" but I'm sure if i do. that shed just go "but WHY arent you happy with the conversation tell me so i can fix it" and if i tell her blatantly what is making me unhappy (the fact that she keeps saying she understands and pouring stories of her traumas onto me to "prove" that she understands) then she's going to guilt trip me when were talking in the future by emphasizing the fact that i dont like when she talks a certain way and be all like "oh i wont tell you about my OWN experiences though because you said you don't LIKE when I DO that" and i just hhhhhh

Like every time i tell her she doesnt understand and try to explain it in a way that she WILL and it'll finally click it just. Doesn't and it makes me feel so defeated because every time i do that she just circles back around to "well i experienced all these types of trauma so i totally understand" and i appreciate the effort but that just isnt the kind of support i needed to make me feel content

And also when i was talking to her tonight i told her about a specific instance that happened in like 1rst or 4th grade where I was crying because the girl bullying me was just in one of those. Bad Moods™ where like she hated me for existing and talked to me like i was a piece of trash she had stepped in or smth and then she and a couple other kids asked me WHY I WAS CRYING and I didn't want to tell her "hey I'm crying because you keep hurting me and i dont want you to" because if i said that she would just hurt me MORE so i made up a lie on the spot and said that my parents had a small argument (I'm a sensitive kid and will cry at the barest hint of conflict between my parents so it checked out) and i was crying because of it and . Out of that ENTIRE STORY the one thing my mom zeroed in on was the fact that i told a lie that "painted my parents in a bad light"

Just. Like. Yeah. It did. But I wasn't even thinking about that at the moment?? Like it didn't even cross my mind??? The only thing i was thinking about was that i was scared and in danger and i probably would have said anything to get OUT of that danger (as fake or ill-perceived it might have been). But no, even later on after i had explained that in basically those exact words she still went back around to say "oh if it was bad enough that you told a lie about your parents to get out of it then she REALLY fucked you up"

Which??? By the way??? Is a whole other reason why i try not to talk to my mom about this shit??? Because every time i open up about it and want to have a conversation in a more logical/organized/"well here's the situation and here's what we can do about it" kind of way she always turns it around and says stuff like "damn [REDACTED] really fucked you up didn't she" and "I didn't know it was that bad"/"I didn't know it effected you that bad, you should have said something!" which. Makes me Feel Bad™, for some reason way more than my dad excitedly talking about reptile and monkey brains and how stuff that happened to us in the past is engrained into our brain and still effects us now, like instinct

She also always turns all of my stuff talking about emotions into "oh you're just a teenager" "you're pms'ing" "you'll grow out of it later"

Like one time i told her that her mind was always in the past or the future, always worrying about the past or the future, never in the present, in response to her worrying a bunch about something and how i had my mind in the present more often and her response was something along the lines of "well you're like that because you're young and a teenager, you CAN stay thinking in the present because you dont have all that stuff to worry about like an adult does, I'm an adult and i work a bunch so i constantly have stuff to worry about" and like. Yeah theres some solidity to that. But also i literally talked about that exact thing with my dad and HE said her brain was always in the past/future and never the present so I'm pretty sure its not just a teen vs adult thing

And then towards the end of this whole thing when i had finally managed to tell her "hey I'm uncomfortable in this conversation can i please leave and go to bed" and even further explained that it was because i went into this wanting to have a more casual/logic-based talk rather than an emotional discussion and . she's kind of of the mind that "why did you bring it up if you didn't want to have a deep emotional discussion about it" and I'm just HHHNNNNGGGG but also i actually DIDNT mention it, first i was mentioning how id been having sensory overload lately and how certain sounds of words hurt and then she said i should have a doctor check that out and then i said "I've been reading up on anxiety and sensory overload is a part of that so i figured that's just what it was" (bcs my dad gets sensory overload a lot too) which then ensued a ten-minute conversation about how i probably dont have clinical anxiety because mine isnt as bad as/like all the many, many people my mom has known who DO have it (throughout which i kept trying to tell her "just social anxiety exists too tho" to which she would respond "yea but u dont have these symptoms of general anxiety so i dont think u have it" and while i hope and think i dont i was just like HHHHHHH because i mean social anxiety and by social anxiety I DO NOT MEAN GENERAL ANXIETY YOU CAN HAVE SOCIAL ANXIETY WITHOUT HAVING GENERAL at least i think idk i might be wrong) which i ended by saying "i probably dont have clinical anxiety but i do believe my brain has been wired to react to certain situations based on how i had to react to those situations for six years" which then lead to me talking more about my bully and my mom pretty much siphoning as much emotional vulnerability and opening up out of me as she could

And then at the end i told her "can i please leave i kind of feel like crying and i dont want to do it in front of a person at the moment" (because I haven't cried in a few months and i feel like I'm in need of a good cry tbh which in itself is something she doesnt really understand) which lead her to go "why do you feel like crying now I'm worried for you" and HHHHHHEBDJBEHNDEJHBDNEHDBEH yeah--

There's probably more i could say but I'm not going to, because its almost 1 am and while i had actually been about to sleep early at like ten she ended up roping me into an hour or two long talk about emotions, which is. Fun. And i have to get up in six hours so I'm going to go to bed. Sorry if this was a mess which I'm sure it is, i really just needed to get this out there lol

Also when i went to my dad after this to say goodnight (i actually like talking to my dad abt this stuff a lot since his brain and mine are just really similar) he gave me this lil smile and just said "deep breaths" and that made me feel better

Alright so this is Enkidu from the anime/manga/game Fate/Grand Order. Still haven't read, watched, played this so let's get into it.

Let me start off by saying they look like they're going to annoy me but not on purpose, like they're gonna talk about the forest way too much and probably walk past some deer and pat them on the head. They look like a forest spirit who's going to like go to their home which has a giant tree that they, along with the others in the village, pray to. I feel like something's going to happen to that tree and again, this is gonna be my responsibility to fix even though I don't even live there. And then I have to go get some bullshit crystal that's up in some mountain somewhere being used by some evil person to destroy something because they have like an anti-elf agenda or something. Is this person an elf? I assume they're an elf or something, elves usually have green hair. Doesn't matter, I don't care. Oh, and then at the end of the battle that one fucking elder elf is like "Thank you for saving out tree, we are no longer prejudice against humans. Bless you." And it's like thanks, but like, think you could maybe bless me with some treasure? Some gems for all my time and effort for being forced to help rude ass people for hours. I don't know why I'm getting so upset about this. Anyway, they seem like the character that follows you around in a game and just says shit out loud to you and you can't get rid of them, but they don't help out except for like three times and BARELY. Like, the only thing they're good at is telling me how to do a task when we stroll up on it and then telling me how shit I am at doing it. And then the little "Oh no, you're hurt" that they say out loud during fights and it's like obviously I'm hurt because you're useless and wont give me potions which I know you have. And then you get so mad you turn the sound off, but then it's silent so you turn it back on and have to go into the settings because the voices suck but the music slaps. Getting off topic again, they seem fine. Like, I wouldn't want them in my party but I'd visit their village to get them to bless my water or whatever they do, you know? Like, just tell me how to get a woodland creature to be my pet and how to train it to find items. That'd be dope, doubt they do that though. They seem like the boring birthday gift, like they give you holy water and say some shit like, "Here, I have blessed this water for you and I hope you use it well on your journey." And you have to be like "Wow...thanks!" Because even though you wanna be pissed because holy water at certain shops are like 25 coins your parents are watching you or something to make sure you don't act like a dickhead. Anyway, I wouldn't want to hang around them but I'd trust them to like bless a tree or something. Maybe take care of my woodland pets when I'm only allowed to have one at a time.

Birth Chart Breakdown: Carter Hart

Another player in my birth chart series (finally)! Basically this is me looking at a players personal placements and discussing what their personality could be like. Obviously this up for interpretation and not necessarily how they think/act! I have been told my readings are pretty accurate, so take from that what you will! Okay let’s get into it!

Sun in Leo (sun = general sense of self) OKAY so Leos have a big thing for loyalty. They are very loyal to others and they will expect it back. If you’re not loyal to him, you won’t last long. And this doesn’t apply to romantic relationships, it is all of them. Leos can also struggle with their self image. They often get pinned as being self absorbed or conceited and while yes some underdeveloped Leos can be (and other signs can as well) it’s often a mask. Carter could be the kind of person who puts on a mask, so to speak. Like he, as well as other Leos, could project a level of confidence that they don’t actually feel. They have a certain level of pride (they are represented by the lion!) ad definitely wouldn’t want people to catch them slipping. He probably does care what people thinks of him to some degree and will try to curate a persona for people to see. That aside, Leos are incredibly loving people. Carter will care deeply for the people around him. He wants the best for everyone and wants them to reach their highest potential, just as he wants that for himself. He also has a lighthearted and attractive aura to him. Leos are represented by the sun so their is a brightness to them that is undeniable! He probably brings a lot of warmth to those around him, and it can be easy to be charmed by him. He can be a bit stubborn though. They can tend to have an idealist view of the world and their own inner code when going about their lives. He will stick to his own moral code closely and probably will not get along with people who don’t share their beliefs. And don’t bother trying to change them. It won’t work.

Moon in Taurus (moon = emotions) I share this placement so I can speak from experience. Carter needs stability. Though taurus in not ruled by the moon (it is ruled by venus!) it is very comfortable here. So, people here tend to be pretty emotionally stable/ they are good and regulating and understanding emotions. He most likely has certain things or places that bring him peace. Having stable things (or people honestly) to return to in times of trouble is super important for him. He is also probably pretty levelheaded. Again, he could be a bit stubborn because of this placement. It may be hard for him to understand/connect with people who aren’t on the same wavelength as him emotionally. He is probably pretty resistant to change, I would imagine sudden or drastic changes could be very stressful for him. However, he is super romantic. He will take the slow and steady approach, not really one for jumping into relationships or having little flings. For him, that stable emotional connection is super important for establishing a long-term relationship. There is also a calming aura to this placement. Because their stability, people often feel at ease around taurus moons. I would not be surprised if people went to Carter a lot when they were struggling. His ability to empathize while also remaining stable and strong probably makes him someone that is easy to open up to.

Mercury in Leo (mercury = communicaition) A great problem solver and collaborator. Works well with others, but I think he has that natural born leader personality and is probably often taking charge of things (whether it is other appointing him or it just happening naturally). He is probably pretty enthusiastic and charming in conversations. I think he would make the people he speaks with feel special, like he is genuinely engaged with them and interested in what he has to say. Big jokster as wel!

Venus in Leo (venus = love/realtionships) okay again I share this placement with hims so I can speak a lil from experience! SUPER loyal and expect back. Probably would not be to keen on having like an open relationship with someone. Super hopeless romantic type. In love with the idea of love, if you will. He probably really liked the “process” of falling in love. Romancing him will go along way, and he will definitely give it back. Romantic gestures, big and small, go a long way for him. He will love to show his partner off, and be shown off himself. Probably a little needy if we are being honest. BUT as much love as you give him, he’s going to give it back to you 5 time over. He will shower his lover in affection and things. Prepare to be spoiled. He really likes feeling appreciated and needed and probably has the love language of verbal affirmations. Make him feel important to your life, it will bring him peace and make him feel secure.

Mars in Cancer (mars= action, desire) He can be a bit passive aggressive. Unlike the taurus moon placement, cancer is not happy in mars. Mars is very action oriented and cancer is a much more “slow moving” sign. He is resistant to change and needs to feel secure in his actions. He is not likely to jump into things because he doesn’t like risking his security. Emotions and sex are highly intertwined for him. Again, I don’t think he would be the type to just sleep around or have little flings (not that this is a bad thing at all!). At the very least, sex is not the same for him when it is not with someone he shares a deep emotional bond with. Lowkey turned on by the thought of making a baby though. He can be a lil over sensitive and may tend to lash out when he is frustrated or upset. He can probably be a bit argumentative as well and have mood swings where he is more prone to agitation. However, when he feels safe and supported he will be at peace. He will be protective ad reliable in relationships.

Overall thoughts: Alexa, play Loyalty by Kendrick Lamar. Seriously though, Carter is EXTREMELY loyal based on what this chart is telling me. Again, this isn’t just about romantic relationships, it would extend to his friends too. Like,he would be the type to fight for his friend even when he knows they’re wrong because that’s his friend! He’s ride or die for them no matter what. But you have to have that same energy for him. If not, he’ll probably distance himself over time. I also think love is really important to him, specifically finding the right partner. He wants someone for the long haul, someone he can spend his life with. He will be a super devoted lover and I really don’t think you’ll have much to complain about, as long as you’re someone who enjoys that it’s me and you until the end of time type love. Perhaps not for the faint of heart, but man he loves hard. Honestly, this is a super sweet chart he seems like someone that is just nice to be around. it’s honestly like you can physically feel yoonbin sigh internally as he tenses up next to you

and you’re like “oh…this is: not what i expected”

but then jihoon is confused because he’s like “uh i was listening in and i heard u say that u knew he liked u so don’t pretend not to know! i already know that you think i don’t know what i do actually know”

and ur like “ok first off jihoon, i don’t know what you mean at all, and second of all,, yoonbin told me nothing :/”

meanwhile yoonbin is just. stood. very still

and jihoons like “oh! haha,,, my mistake! i’ll uh leave you kids to it then :O”

which means yoonbin has to stutter his way through a long paragraph that summarises his Mood for the past couple months of knowing u which essentially boils down to ‘yeah i like you as more than a friend’

and ur like ‘oh….wowie….i like the way this is going…’ and then u just kinda mumble a lil “ask me on a date then!!” because you assume he isn’t listening

but he hears! oh boy he hears! so he stops rambling and laughs at himself because ‘u fool, u baboon, she wants to d a t e’

and then he’s like “:)) ok :)) pls go on a date with me!!!!”

and wham! an overly complicated way of explaining how u two started dating

so. now that you’re dating. it’s like he’s a completely different person??

he’s relaxed enough now to act however he feels like acting with you in the moment

sometimes he’s all （＾∀＾）and giggly and talks about a lot of different things while you nod and try and capture as much as you can from him!!

but sometimes he’s ( ￣＾￣) and wants things to be quieter and chilled out and would much rather listen to you talk about different things while he nods along occasionally

but he’d always make it clear that despite this he is listening!! he totally does care!! he’s just tired and doesn’t have the energy to be communicative!!

i feel like yoonbin is also really caring?? and it would probably come across as him being a bit overprotective at first because he isn’t fully sure how to communicate how much he cares about you

so if you’ve had a bad day and you’re telling him about it he feels like his mind is going a million miles an hour because he just? wants to fix it and he doesn’t know how to other than to directly try and sort any problems out for you

like if you’re arguing with family/friends, he’ll try and find common ground to fix the issue for u, or if you’ve got a lot of school work and it’s tiring you out he’d be like ‘i will do ur homework for u’

so you have to sit him down and say “hey!!! i know you’re only doing it because u love me but i promise i can sort out my problems by myself and you don’t need to stress yourself over them :))”

and then he gets the hang of it you know!! if you have a problem he’s like “do you want me to help or do u got it??” and if you’ve got it then !! well done you’re so talented he’s impressed !! and if you don’t then it’s okay !! he’ll help he doesn’t mind !!

i think he’d still be quite a protective person but i think he knows where the line is between being protective and wanting to take care of someone and being overbearing and interfering where he isn’t supposed to

and by protective i just mean if someone was flirting with you he’d be really cautious to not overreact but also to pay attention to how you’re responding, so if you start to look uncomfortable he’s ready to argue with the other person

or he checks that you’ve eaten, slept, and drank enough often just to make sure you’re okay all the time

i also think that despite how he’d have a lack of energy to really converse with you sometimes he’d still wanna be with you almost all the time

whether that’s by texting you through-out the day ((lowkey he just wants updates on your day and gives you responses about that and not his day))

or having long ass phone calls where you talk about plans, or how you’ve been or things you’re interested in

but overall he would just like to be in your presence, even if it’s just having a movie playing while he gets to cuddle up to you

i think the only public affection he’d actually be cool with displaying is hand-holding and having his arm kinda slung across your shoulder or around your waist

he’d like to always have some kind of contact with you in public just because he would ~lowkey~ get jealous pretty easily and it makes him feel more at ease to know that other people can obviously see that you guys are together

but the hand-holding would be for u just so u know that he’s right there if u need him for whatever reason in public

he doesn’t do that whole thing where he’s telling you that it’s all going to be alright and all this.

he’s serious. he’s stern. he spent a good few months of his life stuck behind Galra bars - he hasn’t got time for that kind of thing.

but his words, as stern as they may seem, are comforting either way.

because he isn’t going to sit down and tell you that this is it, that losing a loved one is the final straw and there’s no going back. not even he believes that.

he’ll sit you down, away from the other Paladins, and he’ll tell you that it’s going to be difficult to get through it, and it may take a little while, but you can and you will get through it eventually.

he promises to help you out through it all, as well. you’re going to genuinely have to drag this man away from your side during this grieving period, because he promises he isn’t going anywhere until he’s sure that you’re made fully aware that this isn’t the last hurdle, and you’re going to come out of his on the other side even brighter than before.

Keith:

Keith wouldn’t really know how to comfort someone in this situation.

with Keith, he prefers to do things a little spontaneously when it comes to stuff like this.

it would have been easier for you to just walk into his arms all of a sudden and demand some comforting words, because he’s better whenever it comes to just making that kind of stuff up on the spot - it feels a lot more real, and he can channel those emotions pretty easily whenever he’s given no other choice.

but if you were aware of your loved ones approaching passing, if it was one of those things where you were just kind of waiting for it to happen eventually, then Keith would feel a little bit stuck.

he doesn’t like feeling obliged to comfort people. it makes him awkward and he gets a little bit choked up.

but he loves you, and he’ll be damned if he doesn’t help you out in some way, shape or form.

so he tries his best, whether that’s good enough or not.

he’ll hug you, rock you back and forth as you cry.

he’d be pretty quiet about it, not really giving words of advice. Keith hasn’t ever really had anyone close to him - not for a long while - so he doesn’t know how to comfort someone in this situation.

but he continues to hug you, lets you cry into his shoulder, and sometimes that’s all you really need.

Lance:

usually, Lance would try to cheer you up when you’re upset.

he makes jokes, he dances around, he acts stupid just to see you smile.

but i can see this situation making him emotional as well, to the point where he feels like he can’t comfort you with jokes and random dances.

Lance is a family man. he loves his family with every fibre of his being, so upon hearing that you’ve lost somebody close to you, it kind of hits home with him.

he feels so bad for you. it’s almost like he himself has lost someone in his family.

because he loves you, and seeing you upset over something that Lance is positive would completely destroy him, makes Lance emotional.

despite his own emotional state, he would still try his hardest to comfort you.

not cheer you up. he knows that’s a waste of time, but he does try his hardest to comfort you.

you and him remove yourselves from the company of the other Paladins and just kind of sit in your room all day, Lance with his arm wrapped around you. 

at some point, you end up falling asleep and Lance tugs you into his lap and just hugs you until you wake up.

Hunk:

he feels like he’s not good at comforting people when it comes to this kind of thing, but he’s actually very good at it.

after your loved one passed away, Hunk was going around and asking people for advice on how to comfort you when you got home. the last thing he wanted to do was mess it up and make you even more upset.

and everybody was just like, “be yourself!” because everybody is fully aware of just how good Hunk is at comforting people when they need it. he just doesn’t give himself enough credit.

still, despite his friends reassurance, he still isn’t entirely sure if he’s the right person for this job.

but then he sees you, and you’re crying, and all of that anxiety gets flushed away with this genuine and pure feeling of absolute need to just hold you and tell you it’s okay and wipe your tears away.

suddenly, he doesn’t even care about saying the wrong thing. he’s rushing towards you and pulling you into the biggest hug, and maybe he even starts to tear up a little bit at the sight of you crying.

the words he says are a lot more soft and comforting than what the likes of Shiro’s were. he likes the old, “they’re in a better place,” kind of advice and stuff like that - just things that can put your mind at ease, things that mean a lot because of the truth behind them.

and he’s very attentive to you. he doesn’t want you overworking yourself whilst you’re grieving, so he lets you sleep in the next day and he makes you a good, balanced breakfast and he even starts your work for you, just so you have less to do when you wake up.

Pidge:

like Lance, I can imagine Pidge getting a little bit emotional even though the loved one in question wasn’t somebody she personally knew.

she just thinks about the pain you must be going through, and how horrible it must have been. she thinks about her own family and how she would react in this situation, and the thoughts are just so dark that it makes her choke up a little bit.

but despite this, she still puts all of her energy into comforting you and helping you through this situation as best as she can.

and she isn’t the greatest at comforting people. unless she’s speaking directly from the heart - which is sometimes difficult to do - she can sometimes go off course and she can babble and her advice and comforting words can just kind of get lost in translation a little bit.

but she tries her best, and that’s what is the most comforting about it. you know she loves you, and she makes that clear with her attempts to comfort you in this moment.

because even though she knows she can say stupid stuff sometimes whenever she’s put under pressure, she still refuses to leave your side during your grieving period.

and sometimes she does just fall silent and she just lets you cry into her shoulder. sometimes she does just realise that maybe silence is the best thing for this kind of moment.

but she’s still there beside you when you wake up, and she’s refusing to leave until she’s certain you’re healing.

Matt:

i think he would be like Hunk in the sense where he doesn’t give himself enough credit where credit is due.

he gets stressed out, and he thinks he isn’t good enough and that he’s going to say something wrong and completely ruin any sense of control you may have had whenever you are put in this situation.

but give him a chance, and he’s actually very good at comforting people. especially people who he loves as much as he loves you.

his comforting strategy would be based more off of his own experiences. he wants to just keep talking, because he knows that silence can sometimes make the bad thoughts even worse, and he doesn’t want to put you through that.

Yet Eddie and Jake kinda make it happen anyway and conveniently need me to step in to get everyone to stop targeting Jake so I do, further implicate myself in that entire fiasco, vote for Heather then change my vote to Ben because Jake is begging, I cost myself a jury vote in the process, and now it's all over and once again I'm holding the bag. Except this time I feel like shit because Ben didn't derserve that but it worked out so Eddie and Jake are happy as can be and are already trying to find ways "we" can further stir the pot. Okay bitches it's time for me to explain last round more in-depth because wow I did that. I was really nervous when I merged since Eddie/Autumn lied to me about the Drew vote and I didn't know if they'd still work with me. Me and Trixie played up being alone, and Julia added us to a chat to call where she pretty much listed all her allies and said she'd be with us over them. Me and Autumn have an interesting relationship, we cussed each other out after the vote but after we explained everything we kissed and made up. I was genuinely upset that Eddie lied to me like that so I made sure he knew I was and I think it helped in making him want to keep working with me. So I talked to Autumn at the beginning of the day about the vote and said that I wanted a fave out. She brought up Ben and I agreed immediately bc I don't trust him. She also wanted to tell her alliance with Rebecka that they could do Heather because Rebecka wanted her out. So after that I called Heather and exposed the Julia/Mo/Ben/Rebecka/Matt alliance and told her that we needed to stick together. She ended up telling me that she knew Trixie had the idol because Julia told her, so I acted like I didn't know about the idol, but she pretty much confirmed to me that Julia trusts her the most. I needed the Ben vote to go through and I needed Heather to be the other vote, because I knew that Julia would flip on Ben to save Heather. Things got scary when at like 6PM I heard my name was going around. From what I gathered, Ben, Mo, and Matt wanted to vote me instead of Heather, but Rebecka was adamant about voting Heather and I told Eddie and Autumn to say they wanted Heather to keep the vote off of me. Right before the votes Trixie transferred me her idol and told me to play it if Ben got idoled so um wig? She also told me that she voted for rebecka last minute in case we both idoled the votes.... BUT tribal happened and Ben went HOME! WOOOO I was so happy and I hope those stupid faves who didnt bother talkin to me this round were fucking SHOOK. I'm ready 2 turn up...

Hi. I've been super inactive this week because I've been visiting friends but it is what it is.  So Ben getting voted out wasn't ideal, I would've loved to vote out heather but WHATEVER. I had to abstain from this challenge soooo I'm gonna be up for elimination and I hope I don't get votes this time! Who knows tho hehe not me 

lets vote julia OUT... sis you're not about to play this middle in this game!! That’s me and autumn’s job! That’s why I’m throwing julia so far under the bus right now. You can only play the middle in survivor if you have people who have a lot of trust in you from both sides. I’m making sure that matt and rebecca never look at julia as a possible number again because they distrust her and feel like she’s thrown them under the bus. It would be a cute concept if we could just vote julia out this round honestly. Vote julia out this round, somebody who has been playing the middle, but also keep heather in because rebecca and heather will still be a big conflict in this game that autumn and i can take full advantage of. Bec - Have barely talked to her, don't trust her and don't think I will get on with her at all, she seems to play the game based off personal feelings which is why I want to stay in her good books. Heather - I want to keep Heather around so that Bec and Heather are at each others throats, I know they will want each other out for as long as they are here. JakeP - I trust him and he has my back but I want to take him out deeper into the game because he is such a big threat. Julia - Julia is crazy, she leaks EVERYTHING and its sooooooo annoying but I kinda trust her but don't want to tell her everything from now on. • Shikamaru is a laid back person, and he’d definitely want an S/O who is chill

• He’s (obviously) very perceptive, however, and if he knows you want to cuddle or something he will usually indulge you (with some complaints of course)

• If you don’t mind smoking once in a while, great! If not, he’s very considerate and won’t do it when you’re around

• Shika is not really the ‘let’s go out on a date’ type, he’s more lowkey and prefers to just spend time with you in private

• Surprisingly, he’s a big fan of pillow talks, so, please indulge him

• He enjoys journaling, it’s a way for him to process everything he took in during the day it’s hard being a super genius and he would love if you did that together

• Sometimes, when he’s in a good mood he’ll do little things that he thinks are childish, but how could he say no when you’re so cute?? He ends up loving pillow forts

• Massages will be a big thing between you, he’s often stressed and that really helps him, but he always feels obligated to return the favor

• I’m 100% sure trying to make him do things is a given, but I’ll say it louder for the people on the back :)

• If you are constantly pestering him and interrupting his peace, he will quickly get fed up

• Please do NOT play hard to get or make him jealous. He’ll immediately know what you’re doing, but things like that just make him frustrated

• He hates mixed signals and dropped hints, so if you have something to say, just say it

• If you try to change him and constantly nag at him to be more productive, he will quickly lose interest

• Talking just for the sake of talking, and not having anything real to say will grate on his already thin patience

• As crazy as this may sound, there is a limit to how much lazy Shika can take. Even if he complains, he always completes his duties to the best of his abilities. If his partner can’t even do that much, he will lose respect for them

• The opinion of people he’s close to is a big deal. If his teammates, Asuma, or his family genuinely think something’s off about you, he will proceed with caution and probably be more scrutinizing of you

• He really has a short temper so be mindful of that, try to refrain from bothersome pranks and annoying him just because

Soft Shika Things~

• Even though he isn’t the softest person you’ll ever meet, he has his moments

• This side of him usually comes during naps/cloud watching
