just got like a funny picture in my head of like. a time travel AU where jason either swaps places with his younger self or somth idk but they're like sitting quietly eating breakfast and it's all fun and good but then a magical poof ensues and bam. adult jason is sitting there and jason is very confused bcs like yeah he was in fact sitting and about to eat but that had been at the nest with tim across him and maybe dick or damian snoring away on the couch in the next room.

meanwhile, dick and bruce and alf are all.. very confused bcs 1) baby jay just vanished. not only is the kid gone but in his place is a man who sorta looks like jay. (i headcanon jay as trans, this was before he came out.. tho i do have aus where he doesnt get to come out to anyone but tim, who makes a secret grave in his honor and doesn't out him.)

and bruce is like.

when they finally figure out how to get him back, someone, maybe baby timmers guesses "you were turned into a zombie" as a joke and jay finger guns him and says "yep" and then back jumps into the portal to get him back to his own time

meanwhile baby jason has the time of his life

not only is he apparently tall, *but* dick likes him?? he's apparently done a lot of good for crime alley??? he has a brother? boyfriend? both?? who looks up to him and is both very familiar yet he doesnt recognise him at all, and a younger brother who also looks up to him and is very protective and reminds him of like a small cat?????

dicks like we gotta get so many pictures of you!!! and jays like super confused but also like ok???

he can obviously tell that somethings up that theyre not telling him. but honestly the fact that it's like a decade into the future and he has so many people who loves him??? he decides its a problem for future him.

five joking about his life or throwing it in their faces makes the siblings uneasy. they cant FATHOM it and it hurts. tbh i feel once they aren't all in such danger and ignoring his warnings and ring leader like behavior , they would slowly start spoiling him a bit. he wouldn't notice at all at first but over time, he gets a deep sense that everyone pities him but he cant place it. he'd start denying any hand outs or good will bc he doesn't want to be seen as a headcase that needs coddling. and i think different siblings are in different camps if u put "baby" and "old man" on a sliding scale. none of these are like extreme stances, more just the vibes they feel from five.

Luther: old man 80% bc hes the only one that see's five's "older" self and can 100% say. same guy no changes. mentally unsound…. but like five stated in that whole fiasco, Luther has daddy issues and cant like. see that old man in such a young man. Luther has 1 half a brain cell. his need to nod and agree to every old man he listens to illnesses wont allow it. so he weirdly flip flops. he also develops the habit of trying to pick five up to calm him down, witch ends very poorly each time.

Diego: protective brother energy. cant fathom his brother got THAT much trauma in him. and is older then him. 13 years of being all the same age. 13 years of sharing the same birthday. and now well everyone ages up together, five is in his own corner being like 67 well the rest are like mm idk math 40 something. Diego just cant…think that far. denial. every time he thinks he's used to this old man or starts seeing him as the same age as everyone, five info dumps about the inner workings of a specific gun or the how good the wine in the celler will be 37 years exactly from now and to wait…Diego just mentally reboots.

Allison: baby camp. didn't take him very seriously back in the day either bc his ego is the size of a watermelon. and oh look the lil guy thinks bc he has more life behind him then us, he thinks he's the smartest one here. yeah right. she makes him his coffee when he wakes up or folds his Landry bc she needs to do hers and he forgot to take his out. five just thinks shes being passive aggressive but its more "if i don't then he might hurt himself or mumbling to himself about how forgetful he has become and i do NOT want to here that right how. il just do it. " tough love babying. five sometimes lets her brush his hair when he's in a bad state of mind.

klaus: depends on the day. he is the one who tease him about his height the most. i think Klaus tries to pinch his cheeks at least once a day and nearly got a blade through his hand at attempt # 23. but he also is second one that weirdly respects him the most. complementing how happy he looks DUE to his retirement and not just in general. likes buying him the stuffiest old man clothes ever from off the road and down an alley thrift shops, thinking everyone would find them silly but five like. genuinely adores them and borderlines on feeling the want to hug him but neh. too stubborn. almost though. witch is rare. five will never admit that he thinks Klaus has a good fashion sense.

ben: the brother that ruffles his hair the most. the two that severed the family. they have a unspoken energy about them. you don't mention my death, i wont bring up your past deal. Ben doesn't really care anyway. on the "i got my brother back, that's all that matters." camp with viktor. fuels five's need to bicker on topics. their hard ass but still playful energy balances each other out. is the one that tells klaus that the clothes he picks out for five is too much and he will hate them but gets surprised every time five likes them. riiight right. he wouldn't have the tastes as the 13 year old i remember him as. he downs scotch like a mad lad. gotta remember that.

viktor: leader of the "he could have come back to us as an acorn like dad warned and id still keep him in my pocket." camp. just happy to have his favorite sibling back. though they admit five also being the most open with him makes him uneasy. he wants to listen about the past 45 years but it can be very existential for viktor. five understands and lets him breath if its too much. (stealing this from this post) i feel like five owns and somehow still has on him a very worn and well loved copy of viktor's book. with notes and highlights scribbled in them. the cover fell off and five sewn it back on then poorly laminated it with the commission's laminating machine . viktor would cry if he saw it. full blown meltdown together.

idk about translations or anything like that -but the attempt for Ochako explaining her pain after Himiko died feels so... analytical in English. It feels anticlimactic in comparison to the fan translation by Pikahlua, and it kind of makes a reference to her feelings for Izuku? Which doesnt have to be a bad thing, but it is weird to me to change it like that -idk if the official English translator was thinking about "preparing" the audience or something??

Idk if im just looking into things but when I read it it felt bad to me, so I checked the official Spanish translation to see if it also made a reference to past actions:

Fan translation: That's why... I'll put away even this wound that hurts all the time.

Official English translation: That's why... just like before, I'm dealing with this lasting pain... by shutting it all away.

Official Spanish translation: That's why... I've been repressing it... this wound and its pain...

Im guessing my problem comes from the over explanation that shifts the focus into, what I think is, the wrong thing: the official EN makes you focus on how she shut down her feelings for Izuku and how she is doing it again, while the fan translation and the SP are more about her repressing/pushing away specifically her pain for Himiko represented by her wound.

EDIT: I know she does have more moments where she cries when she's alone or with her parents only, I know, but lets be real, that paired with the shutting it away + Izuku appearing in the end makes you think more of that scene instead.

We understand then that the stab makes her unable to forget her, and thinks about a crying and smiling Toga during her sacrifice, while the official EN kind of forgets about it? It feels less powerful to me by skipping a mention of the wound, and by adding "just like before" it makes it look like her putting away her feelings for Izuku left a "lasting pain" at the same level of Himiko Toga dying, which. That's just wild to me?? As if her not confessing was causing her a lasting pain???? IN THE SAME LEVEL AS GRIEVING??

Under the cut im going to ramble a little more about the meaning of the stab wound:

When Himiko stabbed her, she fundamentally rejected Ochako.She claimed they were built different, and while ppl like her are able to live blessed lives happily, their rules dont allow ppl like Toga to even be close to that, and just get pitied instead. She did it angered and with flashing images of all the people who rejected her and pitied her existence going thru her mind; in that moment she cant see her caring for her genuinely, or even loving her as she "already" rejected her when she didnt understand her phrase "what do you wanna do to me?",too.

Even tho it was an action to get her away and to push her feelings down -her own love for Ochako, and instead focus on a villain like goal even tho all she has wanted is be herself happily- Ochako doesn't see it that way.

So, Himiko stabs her screaming to not be pitied, and Ochako keeps pushing it, going against what she thinks in order to be honest with her own feelings. Ochako's fear and sadness from before is revealed then to be related to not understanding Himiko's genuinely happiness. She finds inspiration in her and, I argue probably also Izuku, to then declare what she loves with her whole face: her lovely smile, and how much she wishes to be able to be like that too. Free like her.

What is that stab for her, when she sees the sacrificing Himiko? Because in that part she explains about loving someone to the point of giving herself her blood instead of taking it, I believe this is the face of pure reciprocal love. I wondered while reading the leaks why not choosing the "you think im cute?" face instead where she has the biggest smile, so my idea is that it represents something different. That moment was about Himiko being loved by Ochako, and the other about Ochako being loved by Himiko, using each other's languages -Ochako offers her blood not because Himiko needs it to survive literally, but because that's the way she can get closer to the other person; when she tells her she is the cutest in the world Himiko finds for the first time the love she always looked for without even asking for it.

Himiko gives her blood because she can't live in a world without her, but also because for Ochako sacrificing yourself for someone else its what she admires and loves. The best part about this is how they both arent doing it because they "have" to, their hearts already wish this and to do something for the other. It's genuine, it's heartwarming, and so bittersweet.

When Ochako feels that pain, she doesn't see an angry Himiko, or a sad Himiko, she sees Himiko doing an act of love for her. And that just hurts even more.

   The past few months have kept the three of you rather busy. After Wanda's first appointment with the doctor the three of you realized the small apartment wouldn't suffice for all of you so a housing search began. Thankfully house hunting was easy, as you all had relatively the same needs and wants for a home, and it didn’t take long to make the purchase, or pack. But moving and unpacking weren't the only things keeping you all busy. 

   Natasha has had to go to the compound a few times now, mostly due to paperwork for SHIELD or to help settle some sort of disagreement. Not to mention giving orders and assignments, as with Tony back in retirement and Steve newly in it she was back to being in command. You’ve been doing the same, only not for being a leader. Instead you've been helping Maria train the newer SHIELD recruits. And both of you had strict rules from Wanda, no missions.

   And Wanda, well she was in full mother hen mode. Every room now had evidence that your family was expanding. The kitchen had new cutlery, plates, sippy cups and bottles. The living room had bouncers, a playpen and toys. Your bedroom had a high tech monitor system hooked up to nearly every other room in the house. And of course, the twins' room had everything. Changing table, dressers, cribs, toys, blankets, pillows, clothes. 

   Now, of course Wanda hadn’t been the only one to set these things up. In fact you and Natasha hadn’t let her lift a finger when it came to anything that actually needed to be built, the two of you handled that. She handled the smaller things. Like organizing the clothes in the dressers and closet, or putting up decor.

   But lately she's been feeling a bit more restless. Checking and rechecking that everything in each room was in its place, snapping at one of you if a stuffie or blanket was even a centimeter off from her previous check. Neither of you held it against her, you knew it was a mixture of hormones, excitement and anxiety that caused her to fuss so much. And you both tried your best to assure her everything was fine and convince her to sit and relax. Unfortunately for you though, getting her to relax wasn’t an option right now.

   “What did you just say?”

   You gulp, setting your keys down on the countertop “I uhm, well…Natasha, she….”

   “Y/n” Wanda stresses as her hands for fists at her sides

   “She left the compound. She's in the quinjet as we speak. I came home to tell you right away”

   The Sokovians huffs out a humorless laugh, “Of course she is. Not like she has a family at home that will worry about her safety”

   “That isn’t fair” you try to defend, but before you can finish your sentence she's interrupting you

   “No, Y/n. What's not fair is watching you die. What's not fair is coming back to a world without Natasha. What's not fair is even with two lives growing inside of me, our babies, she can’t understand why I want the two of you home, with me” she explains, letting her sadness and worry show through her anger

   “Oh, Wands” you coo, quickly pulling her into a hug and letting her cry on your shoulder, “Tasha understands, she does. She lost me too, and then she lost you. Trust me baby, she understands”

   Wanda sniffles a bit, “Then why did she go? And why couldn’t she at least talk to me about it first”

   “Because there wasn’t time to talk, love.” you tell her, kissing her temple, “Yelena was out on a mission. It wasn’t supposed to be anything too risky, but you know how things go. She got pinned down and called in for backup. You and I both know nothing and nobody could have stopped Tasha from being on that rescue team. That's her little sister”

   “I’m sorry I jumped to conclusions like that” she admits, feeling guilty for thinking Natasha was back to her careless and reckless ways, “I just worry about you two. A lot. Even with mundane things like going out for milk or picking up something I’m craving. I just…I can’t be without either of you again. Especially not now. The boys will need you both just as much as I do”

   “I know baby, I know” you reassure her, guiding her to the kitchen island and helping her onto one of the seats, “I’ll make you some tea, ok? And I’ll check in with Tasha as frequently as you need me too”

   She smiles at you, appreciative of your care and ability to help her be calm, “Thank you malysh(baby)”

   You quickly move over to the stove and grab the kettle. You fill it up with an adequate amount of water before putting it on the stove to bring it to a boil. You stop for a brief moment to give her a peck on the check before heading over to the cupboard to grab her favorite tea. 

   “Oh!” 

   Wandas gasp pulls you from your task, “Baby, you ok?”

   “I think my water just broke”

   Your eyes widen in panic, “It did not”

   “The puddle on the floor beneath me says otherwise”

   You rush over to her side and sure enough, puddle. “But they aren’t due for another month!”

   Despite the discomfort of the contractions that have started she giggles at your panicked response, “I don’t think they really care about that malysh(baby)”

   “Right, sorry. You stay here, I’ll grab and load your bag and come back to help you”

   She nods in agreement but you don’t even notice because you’ve already darted off towards the door to the garage. You quickly grab the car keys and Wanda's duffle bag and head into the garage. You toss the bag into the backseat and start the car before heading back inside to gather your girlfriend.

   “Ok, cars ready so let's get you in it” you tell her as you help her stand

  You help her get into the car and it takes all of your willpower not to peel out of the driveway like you're the star of the next Fast and Furious movie. 

   “We have to call Tasha” she says, as you concentrate on not getting caught at the next redlight

   You nod, “Let's worry about getting to the hospital first. But I promise as soon as you're in a room I will call her”

    You finally pull into the hospital parking lot and get Wanda inside. The nurses were quick to get her in a wheelchair so she didn’t have to stand while experiencing contractions, and it only took them a few minutes more to get the two of you into a room.

   You pace at the back of the room while they get your girlfriend into a hospital gown, and help her get settled into the bed. The phone in your hand keeps ringing before going to voicemail for the third time, causing a knot of anxiety to build in your chest.

   “Tasha, please babe. Answer the phone.” you mutter to the recording of her voice before trying again. But you only end up getting her voicemail again, “Baby, please. Wanda's water broke. We’re at the hospital now, but we need you here."

   You hang up and dejectedly walk over to Wanda's bedside, you know the fact that you couldn't get ahold of Natasha is going to make her both worry for the Russians safety as well as be livid with her.

   "How soon will she get here?"

   You nervously scratch the back of your head, “Well, uh, I actually didn’t manage to get ahold of her”

   The Sokovians eyes widen and her grip on the sheets tighten as another contraction hits her, “What do you mean? Y/n, she has to be here for this. She has to be”

   “Shh, I know love. I know” you reassure her, cupping her face, “I’ll keep trying ok? Try not to worry too much over it. Just try to focus on you and the boys.”

   Just then her doctor walks in and begins to check over your girlfriend and the babies. Everything with her and the babies is fine, all are healthy. But to Wanda's chagrin she's told that while she's not quite ready to deliver yet, it should only be a few more hours

   “I can’t do it until my other girlfriend gets here. I can’t give birth to our boys without her”

   She eyes her sympathetically, “I understand why this upsets you Miss Maximoff, but unfortunately there's no way to stop them from coming out once they are ready”

    Two hours have passed now, and you're still frantically trying to get ahold of Nat while Wanda holds your other hand in a vice-like grip. You don’t mind though because you know if your anxiety is through the roof at this situation then hers must be the height of the Empire State building.

   “Still no answer. Nothing from Yelena either”

    A few tears roll down Wanda's cheeks, “What if she's hurt? What if…what if something really bad has happened and she lying out there wondering if she’ll ever see us again”

  “Hey, hey. Come on baby, don’t think like that” you try to calm both yourself and her, brushings her tears away

   “How can I not?!” she practically sobs, “She wasn’t supposed to be out there Y/n, she was supposed to be at home. She's supposed to be here. And she's not.”

   “I know love” You sigh, “But this is Tasha we’re talking about. Do you really think she's going to let anyone or anything stop her from coming back home to us?”

   Her lower lip trembles, “I don’t- Oh!”

   “What is it?”

   “The contractions” she grits out, cradling her belly, “They’re getting more painful”

   A few contractions later her doctor comes back into the room to check on Wanda's progress, “I’m going to lift your gown now Miss Maximoff to check on you, alright?”

   Your girlfriend nods her approval, and while she originally thought this part would excite her she finds herself filled with dread instead. She's not ready to do this. Not without Natasha by her side too. Not without knowing if her other girlfriend is even alive right now.

   “Okay, well you’re fully dilated now, so it’s time to get you ready to push.”

    Wanda shakes her head, “No. No, I can’t”

   “My love, you have to get ready. The boys are ready to join us” you tell her, trying not to let any tears of your own fall

   “No! Not without Tasha!” she sobs, grasping onto you tightly, “Please, please I need Tasha to be here too!”

   “Baby, I- ”

   You're interrupted by a woman's shriek a few doors down, but before you can question the doctor to make sure everything is alright a familiar goofy voice rings out, “Oh! Sorry! That's my mistake ma'am, wrong room!”

   “Clint I swear to god, if I miss the birth of my sons because you forgot what room….”

   “I didn't forget! The lady at the desk said room 36!” he defends, “Thes sixes and eights just look too much alike when you have a concussion!” 

    You can feel all tension fade away from the woman holding your hand as she hears the familiar voices and the doctor, noticing the smiles on your faces moves out to the hall to gather everyone, “Excuse me, but this is the room you’re wanting”

   Recognizing Wanda's doctor Natasha taps Yelena's shoulder repeatedly and the blonde quickly helps her sister into the room with Clint right behind them. The three are a sight for sore eyes, and honestly they look quite sore themselves.

   A layer of sweat and grime covering each of them, and their bare skin sports a few scrapes and bruises. Clint's head is bandaged up, and he's holding an ice pack to a rather large bump, and his nose has a bandage over the bridge. Yelena's arm, the one that isn't wrapped around her sister's waist, is in a sling and her pinky and ring finger are wrapped up together. And Natasha, her left ankle and knee are both wrapped up with a makeshift boot supporting her.

   “Tasha!” you call out, rushing to her and gently embracing her, “God, you had us worried sick!”

   “I know, I know” she replies as you help her hop over to Wanda, who is quick to latch onto the hand Nat offers her, “I’m so sorry moya lyubov'(my loves). Yelena's phone and mine only had enough service to receive your voicemails, Clints took a bullet, and I couldn’t call from the quinjet because it took an emp blast”

  “Yeah, we had to steal a helicopter just to get here” Yelena admits

   “You stole a helicopter?” you tease

    Clint nods and smiles proudly, “It's on the roof”

    “I really am sorry” Nat says, bringing your attention and Wanda's back to her, “I didn’t mean to worry you both so much, or get hurt or be late

   “Shhh” Wanda sighs, cupping the older woman's face, “You're safe, and you're here. That's all that matters”

   As soon as she finishes the sentence another contraction hits her causing her to gasp out in pain. The way Natasha tenses next to you and her eyes rack over the pregnant woman in concern warms your heart and you wrap an arm around her to offer comfort

   “It's ok babe, it's just a contraction. It’s normal”

   “You're sure?” she asks, letting her hand rest on Wanda's belly

   “Positive” the doctor replies for you as she stands at the end of the bed, “And with how close together they are now, it's time to push.”

   Clint grabs a hold of Yelena's uninjured arms shoulder and makes a move towards the door, “We’ll be waiting out here”

   A few nurses enter the room with a bassinet, ready to help the doctor and Wanda bring the boys into the world. They instruct her while you and Natasha help keep her as calm and comfortable as possible.

   It takes Wanda two hours to push the larger of the two out, and his loud cries fill the room. You're smiling so wide your cheeks are hurting and Nat can hardly see him through her tears but she laughs at the way his little arms wiggle as the nurse cleans him.

   “You did so good baby” you assure Wanda, running a hand through her sweaty hair

   “And he's so active already” Nat adds in excitement 

   She smiles at you both, but it quickly turns into a grimace as the next twin gets ready to make his entrance. The doctor once again prompts her to push and a mere twenty minutes later he's being cleaned up by the nurses as her cries and coos.

   “You did so good detka(baby)” Natasaha praises, kissing Wanda's forehead gently

   “Can I see my boys?” she asks, barely managing to keep her tired eyes open

   “Of course” the nurse cleaning her up says, signaling for one of the others to bring over the already cleaned up baby over to you all

   Tears spill down the Sokovians cheeks when she sees his little face, its very reminiscent of her brothers. And Nat can't help but smile at the small amount of reddish brown hair that adorns the top of his head

   “Hes perfect Wans” you exclaim, holding his little hand

   Nat nods, “He really is.”

   “He looks so much like Piet” Wanda admits, a sad smile on her face

   “Then let's honor your brother, just as Clint did” Nat says looking to you for approval and you quickly nod, “William Pietro Maximoff-Romanoff”

   Wanda's eyes widen, “You mean it? But what about your last name Y/n?”

   “Of course we mean it” Nat assures

   “And I’ve always liked your last names better. So when we marry, mine will cease to be. So no need to add it to the boys names”

   “Marry?”

   You and Nat laugh at how softly Wanda had squeaked out the word, “Of course. You didn’t think Y/n and I would get you magically knocked up and then not marry you, did you?”

   “Well no, I figured it would come eventually” she admits, “But hearing that confirmed just makes me really happy”

   Finally the other baby is brought over and Wanda takes him in her other arm. Your smile never falters when you see him, but Natasha can no longer hold back her tears. The smaller boy is the spitting image of the Russian, he even has her eyes

   “He's perfect too” you exclaim, rubbing the redheads back

   “He certainly is. If only he looked like someone we now too” Wanda playfully says, looking at Nat

  “He looks like me.” she says, volume barely above a whisper

   Wanda smiles at her, “He looks just like you dorogoy(darling)”

   “You're your Mamas boy, aren’t you” you coo, tickling his chin, “Thomas Natan Maximoff-Romanoff”

   Nats eyes fill with even more tears as you honor her with the closest male slavic name for his middle one, “Thank you my loves. Thank you.”

   “Of course Tasha” Wanda replies, “Now tell their Aunt and Uncle to get in here and meet them”

   Although Natasha is happy enough that she feels like she could simply float out into the hallway to grab them both, she is still nursing an injured leg. Something which you quickly remember.

   “Stay here Tasha. I’ll get them.” you walk over to the door and open it, peeking around the doorframe, “Come meet your nephews”

   Both practically scurry into the room after you and Clint can’t help but chuckle at how Nat already embodies a proud Mama, even still in her dirty post mission gear. He and Yelena sit on the opposite side of the bed from you and Nat and as soon as Yelena sees them she becomes emotional

   “Oh sestra(sister), they're so squishy looking”

   Clint laughs, “What she means is, they're beautiful”

   “Yes, that too. But their cheeks are just so plump” she gasps as her eyes study Tommy more cleary, “Oh my god, he is just like you.”

   “Wow, he really is the spitting image of you Nat and his brother, he looks just like….like…”

   “Like Pietro” Wanda finishes with a smile

   “Yeah. Just like Pietro”

   “Well I hope you don’t mind that we took your idea Nat says, “His name is William Pietro Maximoff-Romanoff”

   “Perfect. I’m sure Nathan won't mind sharing a middle name”

   “But a mouthful” Yelena adds

   “Billy for short. And his middle name will only be used when he's in trouble” Wanda adds

  The blonde nods, “And what of my sestras(sisters) doppelganger, what's his name?”

   “This is Thomas Natan Maximoff-Romanoff” 

   Yelena beams, “Beautiful.”

   “Tommy for short?” Clint asks and Nat nods, “Billy and Tommy. I like it.”

   “We do too” you tell him, gently scooping Billy out of a barely awake Wandas arm, “Rest love, Tasha and I will watch over them”

   Nat follows your lead and goes to pick up  Tommy but you slap her hand away. She looks at you for a moment, confused by your reaction until she glances down at her dirt covered hands. She smiles sheepishly and you merely shake your head as you stand. 

   “Y/n is right. Rest up” Nat tells her as you place Billy in the bassinet. 

   “Thank you moya lyubov'(my loves)” she mumbles, smiling as you come back and take Tommy from her 

   After you get him settled beside his brother you return and help Natasha to her feet and the two of you leave Wanda to rest while you admire your sons. You both practically melt when the boys both turn on their sides to face each other and wrap each other up in their embrace, and you wonder if this is how they looked the entire time they grew within Wanda.

   “I love them so much already” Nat whispers 

   You nod, “I do too. And I love you. I’m glad you're alright.”

   She turns to you and smiles, “I love you too, and nothing would have stopped me from coming back to the four of you”

   You lean forward and capture her plush lips in a soft kiss, her hands instinctively find purchase on your waist as she savors the feel of having you close. Truth be told she had been scared she may not make it back in time, if at all, and she finds this embrace to be rather grounding.

   Wanda smiles as she watches the two of you embrace, and as she shuts her eyes for some much needed sleep she feels whole for the first time in a long time. She will always miss her brother and parents, but knowing she’ll always have Clint and Yelena as family and getting to meet her boys has helped fill that void that she once thought would never close. 

   Now all she needed to do was talk you and Nat into a full retirement, so there would be no more scares like today. But that was a battle for another time, when she actually had energy. For now she’ll happily drift off to sleep knowing that her boys are in good hands.

   You pull away from the Russian eventually and smile at her, “Go get cleaned up babe. That bathroom here is huge so I’m sure the shower will feel just as good as the one at home does”

   “My extra clothes are in the duffle, right?”

   You nod, “Yup, and I already set the bag in there. Are you going to need help?”

   “No, I should be able to manage. Besides its a hospital so the shower will have a seat I can use” she says before hobbling off

   Clint smiles as he takes in each of you, and he finds himself tearing up a bit. Because life truly is a gift, as are second chances, and he's glad fate saw fit to bestow those gifts upon the three of you. No one was more deserving of a happy ending.

firstly hi, im the toya side story person. i do hate the fact that akito punched toya. i dont think anything really justifies violence. but enas is implied to be much more frequent! And sibling fights are whatever.

but u cant ignore the fact that some people may just not like ena because of this repeated pattern. i understand that the person in the tags was trying to explain enas behavior, not justify it. but unless its been retconned in a way i forgot, pale color says shinei only really started telling ena that she couldnt be an artist w/o talent when ena was looking at highschools, so its not like ena was fresh into middle school when her father rejected her dreams. akito when faced with insecurity didnt physically lash out at ena as far as im aware of. saying that she lashed out at him just bc he was nearby and improving in his own field doesnt really change a lot imo. just because siblings use each other as an outlet for stress doesnt mean everyone has to be comfy with it. plus, when akito describes the scratching, he mentions dodging the thrown objects and the scratches being hard to avoid if shes near, which leads me to believe that akito was trying to avoid a fight instead of a sibling brawl

im not calling this abuse, by any means, nor am i suggesting that ena shld have magically spawned healthy coping mechanisms. Im just trying to suggest a possibility that ena scratching akito may not have made her likable with some people, given the repetition and akitos lack of involvement in enas insecurity. everyone has different boundaries on what they think is okay. anyways i am happy to continue discussing this tho, i really liked hearing a diff perspective :) and if i missed anything from the stories, i really am sorry

I understand what you're getting at, but I wanna just clear up some stuff with it

Akito and Toya became friends about two years before the main story (both 14), which means Ena was in the last year of Middle School when they met. Ena would have been looking at High Schools at the time, so the timelines with that add up with her emotional state due to her father. And since then, Ena has clearly stopped doing this to Akito

I understand the "it was a repetitive occurrence" argument but she was clearly not in the right headspace to be rational and considerate whilst having breakdowns, she was 15 and mentally unwell, and she's not gonna act in a rational way

Even if it was hypothetically before her last year of middle school.

SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO OLDER THAN 15 have you met a pair of siblings 14 and younger? esp with personalities like the Shinonomes

Akito likely wouldn't have fought back against Ena in the same way because he's clearly always been very athletic meaning to me if he tried to fight her back. He would probably just win and he doesn't want to just kick her when she's already down.

Anon (and other people who make this argument) I am just so curious if you're an only child and if not what your siblings are like. I don't have a sister but I have a brother one year younger than me and we fought all of the time until we were like 15-16, me and my brother are both very hot-headed people esp at that age. Siblings just do that, so being so uncomfortable with the concept of siblings fighting that you hate Ena just feels so much like you don't understand typical sibling behaviour

If you're uncomfortable with the fact a 15-year-old had fights with her brother whilst she was likely mentally unwell or below the age of 15 and continue to hold this to them until they are 17-18 when they no longer do this

whilst also excusing Akito for what he did in the main story because it was a "one-off"

the argument is about liking Akito and not Ena. If you can hate Ena for being ~15 and mentally unwell whilst scratching Akito but not hate Akito for punching Toya at 16 and that being a MAJOR PLOT POINT whilst Ena's isn't.

it just feels like you can't understand the nuance behind someone doing something negative when they have bad mental health or you don't have siblings and don't understand how siblings like the Shinonomes would act in a situation such as theirs.

Or someone just gives the male characters way more leniency than the female characters

anyway. i do understand people have diff boundaries. but giving Akito leniency on violent behaviour and not ena for actions she did years ago. you can understand how this is a red flag

I know I've said this so many times before, but it is just so comforting to see your posts about love and other people agreeing. Because I thought I was weird for almost immediately wanting to put a fic down when the romance was there, with labels of "boyfriend, girlfriend, husband." It’s like I don’t understand how the other qsmp ships work 😭 But the fact that skephalo just seems to always be there... It was just natural that they could go against the world together without anyone pushing a label on it. All that mattered was their unfailing love for the other and their natural friendship that went above that. In the qsmp they already have a history together! They've been with each other for centuries and know they have been together in past lives. Bad adores Skeppy.

For me, I don't really know how I feel about 4halo? I liked it a lot in the beginning because Forever was one of the few people that had the same views on the eggs that Bad did. But it just doesn't feel like it’s going to work? Bad and Forever have such different goals, and especially with Bad... I don’t think either will change. I like starhalo because they're just fighters, both to attack and protect. It just seems a lot softer than 4halo, I guess, but that's only because that ship got sucked into political drama. 4halo has the AMAZING jealously that I love, but it’s just missing something; like both characters know it will end up being a fling. But Etoiles has been so kind to Bad throughout his memory loss, teaching him to fight again, being patient... Idk, it’s strange. I almost miss it when there was no other Bad ship but Skeppy, I didn’t realize how narrow of a box Bad sat in o_o

(also sorry for the long ask. Just adding that I feel like if Bad killed Forever, that might be a schism in their relationship, while Etoiles would just admire it. But I don’t know, I haven't followed 4halo very well)

thank you for the long ask :D also disclaimer: everything i talk about here is more about viability in canon rather than enjoyment of ships. two different things! obviously i enjoy all q!bad ships through both a shipper lens and an analyst lens.

unlabeled relationships resonates so strongly with q!bad, especially given both his species and his aromanticism, which makes everyone pushing him towards a "typical" romance feel off (i wrote an analysis a bit ago on how qbad's aromanticism is treated on the server opposed to cbad, even if its a bit dated).

4halo's dynamic changes a lot, and it's hard to predict where they'll end up, and that makes them fun (happy pills 4halo is my favorite). there definitely is a certain type of inevitable "doom" with them, though. they'll never end up wholeheartedly trusting each other, but they'll love each other regardless. this ask was sent before yesterday's stream, where forever took care of bad, which goes to show how unpredictable they can be. they really do have a soft side, its just that they always seem to fail to fundamentally understand each other. and when all of q!bad's relationships are "tiered" in some way, this makes a committed relationship, whether platonic or romantic, difficult. forever has such a big heart and bad is so guarded. their relationship does come off of uneven in these unbalanced values, while a relationship like aypierre/bbh does not because pierre simply doesn't mind how paranoid and distrustful bad is. (but, again: that's what makes 4halo more compelling. q!bad is sick in the head obsessed yet is still so restrained around him.)

i really enjoy starhalo, but i cant really see bad striking up a committed, trusted relationship with etoiles. they're both warriors, but they're values are different. etoiles is honorable: he defends the weak, he likes fair fight. bad is a bit more desperate, a bit more brutal. he fights to survive and he takes delight in killing. he likes to win. he needs to win. etoiles obviously enjoys seeing this side of bad come out (in a way many islanders do not, like you said) but i cant help but wonder what would happen when these interests come into conflict. etoiles is to bend his morals to save friendships, but bad won't do the same in return.

and there's the issue with q!bad ships: bad is willing to cut everyone off if it means saving those he holds closest to his heart. and so every ship with him will inevitably crumble because he will choose if they're not up there. he would choose dapper over skeppy, even. and if skeppy comes second to the eggs, then how does it feel to be third on his list? fourth? fifth? how many people can stomach being in a relationship with someone who already knows how expendable you are to them?

again i love shipping im a huge shipper, i love romantic q!bad ships a lot. but there's a reason he fits into an us-against-the-world, unshakeable, all-consuming, unlabeled love, as opposed to the more typical romance progressions you see from fitpac/bagina/spiderbit. there's a reason all q!bad ships have some level of toxicity, while many ships without him do not. he's an all or nothing person, and finding someone who will wholly give him his heart, and wholly receive his heart back, will take a lot. so far, the closest is still presumably q!skeppy (which could still change if he were ever on the island), and that is due to thousands of years and lifetimes together. to have someone else take that place...well, we would have certainly known by now.

long post ahead, sorry in advance. now idk if anyone else has talked about this at all, at least in the sky community. but with the amount of IAPs in sky (and seeing periodic posts of people offering services like commissions in exchange for season passes or exclusive IAP cosmetics) i feel like i just cant sit on this knowledge any longer if people turn out to not know about it. maybe almost everyone is aware of it and/or already using it or doesnt care and im a silly goose, but if this can save even just one person some money, or allow them to buy something they couldn't have afforded otherwise, then i'll be happy lol. it's certainly helped me and i'd like to share the love.

getting to the point: if you are on android/use google play (sorry everyone else idk if apple/the app store or other platforms have something similar, might be worth looking into or idk maybe this same app is on there too), then you can use this app called Google Opinion Rewards to get free google play credit.

this is going to feel like a cheesy fake youtube sponsorship or something but For Real this app gives you basically free money in response to answering surveys. i downloaded it a few years ago after one guy mentioned it in a video in passing, and as of now i have gotten from it almost $150 of google play credit.

“poppy, this sounds super sus”, you might be thinking, shaking your head. “answering surveys?? isnt this a scam to collect your personal data??” and fair enough! yeah probably the data is being sold (though on the page they claim to not share it with 3rd parties), im not super internet wise or savvy but idk it seems like everything is selling your data nowadays. and to get the most amount of surveys you can, you have to have certain things turned on in your google account.

it might ask you about a place you've been recently, or if you've been looking up something lately, or if you remember watching a certain video on youtube, or whatever. sometimes it's very accurate and specific with the targeted surveys, and sometimes it's totally fucking random. to me its not any creepier than getting an ad for like. wendys after only talking about it out loud with my phone within earshot, and most of them are pretty innocuous anyway, at least in my opinion. idk. u dont have to use this. im just putting it out there for those who might want to give it a whirl.

Before i go into the nitty gritty rambly details (on the google doc below), here’s the reassurance: this is real. Yes, the reward for each survey is less than a dollar, but it adds up. Sometimes there are a whole bunch at once and that can bring in a good haul. Since downloading the app, i’ve answered 730 surveys, and from that earned $142.11 (as of writing this right now) in total rewards/credit.

That’s not nothing! I’ve been able to buy sky IAPs with nothing but credit that i’ve earned from answering these surveys. The longest of these surveys literally take a max of like 20 seconds, and u can go right to them from the notification on your phone. It takes 0 effort essentially and for me it is worth it to see that receipt for $0 in my inbox. I have a compulsive spending habit and use it rly often so in my case mostly it just acts as a discount, subtracting from the price however much is in my balance, but still! That’s better than paying full price! Free money is free money! You can also choose whether or not to use it when making a purchase, and stop answering questions and giving them the data at any time. You can choose what to share with them really easily from the settings in the app, so if you want to turn off just location or something, you can just go to “survey eligibility”, select what you want to change, and manage it as you like. The only thing you have to have is your age, since it won’t send surveys to users with no age on their account. And you can use the credit on other apps too, since it’s google play credit! I just mostly use it for buying sky IAPs. you can save up to buy a season pass! 

If you’re like me (maybe not. Im kind of pathetic. Someone pls validate me), you’ve tried whatever you can to not pay for microtransactions. Yeah there’s stuff like mistplay and those annoying ass “tasks for coins” esque things within an app that have you sign up for online magazines or download other apps and get to level 3 of PigFarmVille or whatever to earn credit or money, but those never got me anywhere and this is the most effective, legitimate thing i’ve ever used for this purpose. It takes time and patience, but before you know it you’ll have $5 kicking around in your balance and you can buy the cute oreo headband or pair of shoes or whatever tgc has in the shop this time. It legitimately feels like i’m cheating, sometimes, or that it’s too good to be true, but i’ve used this for three years now and it’s never let me down. Hi is me no Bepo fashion this time I'm afraid ,BUT I do have angst!(this is gonna be long and i apologize for that)

So I believe in one comic it was implied that shachi had a crush on law, I imagine that at some point he was just like "ok I NEED to het over this. It's ridiculous! He only has eyes for Bepo!" And just trying his hardest to just move on and it just not working damnit!!!!!

So he comes to the conclusion, " I need to tell him and get rejected,but will hurt but I NEED it!". This imaginary situation is after the Yuri incident.

And thus after days of hyping himself up he finds it in him to get a moment alone with law. "Law listen I know what the answer is but I just need to say this, I....I have feelings for you and I need ..I NEED to..."

And after a beat law just replied with a " No Shachi." Not COLDLY or anything but just that topical Law way. And Shachi just takes a moment to nod, apologies and walk away.

Later penguin just finds Shachi in their room just softly crying but looks at him and confirms to him that , he did it, the outcome they KNEW would happen did and now he needs to face the hurt and needs a hug from his best bro.

No one talks about it later, they don't need to. They all just move on. Stronger than ever.

Tbh I can see something similar happening with a strawhat too, probably sanji if I had to guess, and later he and Shachi kinda form a 'we were rejected by our captain' club and help each other move on.

AUGHHHHH YES THANK YOU I THINK SO TOO….!!!!!! Idk it’s kind of a mess when i try to put it into words but it’s like…something about them both being in the “shadow” of rapunzel and eugene respectively. they just both handle it very differently…bc lance i feel is always looking out for others and it leads him to neglect himself a lot, but when he really looks into it and he sees eugene’s growth and how he’s come into his own…how he’s found his roots and even his father….as happy for him as he is lance can’t help but feel a bit bitter sometimes. it’s the secondary character syndrome yk!!!! lance just hasn’t really reached a “breaking point” like cass has because he’s trying to manage it in a healthier way…he’s trying to make a life for himself with what he has and he’s realizing he likes things a lot as they are. but that doesn’t make that grief of what he wish he could’ve had just go away….so when he does confide in someone abt those feelings nobody rlly gets it more than cass does. and more than anyone else LANCE is the one who truly understands why cass did what she did.

this little fic of them is very important to me... this one is also one i think about a lot. it’s hard to find lance fics in this economy. :( i like to think they bonded a little leading up to destinies collide, not enough for cass to change her mind about leaving but enough to give them both some food for thought you feel me…..they both just have this unspoken Understanding with each other, and they both admire each other a lot. the shenanigans cass lance and eugene would get into would also be SO silly so it’s a shame we never really saw them interact </3

What type of traits are the main cast(+miku) romantically attracted to?

Blizz: I wouldn’t say he’s outwardly romantically attracted to anything in particular, but he does seem to be attracted to leafeons because of his huge crush on Daisy when they were kids. He’s pretty oblivious to his own feelings romantically. He’d say things like “I like hot chicks!!” But wont react to one unless they are on a Playpoke mag because Flame told him once that that is how he should react when seeing the magazine and Blizz was like "ok!". This changes with leafeons tho. I suppose it’s familiarity? Tho either way, it takes time for him to genuinely become attracted to anyone. Complements will expedite this process.

Dusk: Dusk is into feminine features (and Sylveon). But also!!! He cant help becoming romantically attracted to pokemon that he’s spent a considerable amount of time with. Pokemon who know him and spend time with him, and seem to genuinely care about him. He actually falls for others pretty hard and fast, but he bottles up his feelings and tries to not show them to them. Which honestly just hurts him in the end, but fear is a big factor in it, I suppose.

Eve: Eve is attracted to intelligence and good looks? Idk lol normal tween girl stuff? She doesn’t get easily swept up in romantic words, but she does get swept up when someone does something for her or gives her gifts. If you just try to lure her in with sweet words, she’ll respond with a snarky reply. Gotta put in the effort!

Vay: Vay is not romantically attracted to any traits. Acts of service makes him happy, I guess.

Bolt: Bolt is also not romantically attracted to any particular traits, unlike Blizz, there is no thing that he’s even a tiny bit attracted to out of the gate. He does admire strong willed individuals, but that’s not romantic attraction. I can say that romantic gestures WILL make Bolt very flustered. Like do enough of those and show genuine care for him and he will fall. But! Aside from that? Nothing much lmao. He hates loud, noisy, and destructive individuals though- Like, if you stress him out, he’s like no thank you.

Flame: Flame SAYS he’s romantically attracted to WOMAN. ALL WOMAN, No matter the shape or size. But actually!!!! That’s not quite the case lmao. Flame has only experienced real romantic attraction to individuals that share his hobbies and thoughts. Individuals that are on the same wavelength as he is, regardless of their gender or how they look like. If they share the same views and spend time with each other, Flame will fall HARD (to his dismay). It’s very hard getting close to Flame, as he’s closed himself up to everyone, but if you do break through his hard shell, and spend time with him, you in! Well, unless you remind him of himself. He cant handle being with people that remind him too much of himself because he kind of hates himself.

Daisy: Daisy is romantically attracted to strong individuals. Look STRONG, be HOT, and Daisy will instantly be attracted. But this strength doesn’t just have to be in looks, it could be in other aspects, like your will power, your confidence, how passionate you are in a thing you love doing, etc etc. But ofc, If you butter her up with complements, she will be even more attracted lol. She also likes pokemon with a bit of an adventurous or mischievous side to them, and she LOVES Bad Boys/Girls. Like Villains are her favorite characters. Villain to good guy archetype 10/10.

Dawn: Dawn is romantically attracted to pokemon that have lots of MONEY. (Joking) Dawn is romantically attracted to pokemon that at a baseline- are not horrible. BASICALLY, Dawn has a very high sense of justice, and she despises pokemon that don’t treat others right. You may think this is hypocritical, but Dawn lives by the golden rule “Treat others the way you want to be treated” and if you don’t follow this rule, she’ll TM 15 you into oblivion. Dawn loves complements, and loves communication, she likes loyalty and honesty too. and ofc! Dawn loves a family man lol. She wants a BIG FAMILY, so anyone who shares her want for this and has the other traits is an instant yes for her! Also!!! She doesn’t like overly serious pokemon, or pokemon that hide their feelings from her. Communication is Number one!!!!

just ignore the extreme isolation of returning back to life they both feel. idk lets put this smack dab in the middle and say that it took magic user!reader 15 years to bring them back.

imagine asking their lovers about literally anything. "oh i cant find [x] in stores :(" only to find out that oh. it got discontinued. probably 90% of the things they knew are gone now, or changed fundamentally

you know that one news article thing that was like "prisoner sentenced to s lifetime, dies and is brought back to life. argues a lifetime is over and he should be free" thats what i imagine serial killer!stone being like. yeah his story did end in tragedy. but then his fuckass boyfriend went and brought him back so like. does this count as just a new chapter or a new whole story entirely, separate from the first. what.

or maybe something something necromancy being so taxing on magic user!reader's body that theyre now back at square one. just there, unresponsive, not reacting to touch. in the same state he was 15 years ago.

maybe criminal!stone's conflicted about this. yes his boyfriend and his boyfriend's boyfriend are alive again. but at the cost of his other boyfriend probably being bedbound for a few weeks at the minimum, unable to do any magic for even longer. and he cant split himself in three to take care of them all, as much as it kills him.

or. something something kali intigrating himself into the relationship. slowly learning how they all tic and what theyre like. idk how being ghosts affected this all tho. they probably could both see each-other, but seeing the living world? maybe just in small flickers with months in between? glimpses into the lives of criminal!stone and magic user!reader.

sure, reader could probably sense them, but they couldnt interract. maybe reader greeting them at times. "oh, hi kali.. stone." knowing they cant reply. and within seconds, its gone. something something being spiritually bound to magic user!reader? because of the extent they interact with both spirits?

maybe it really was just serial killer!stone's first attempt at life which must end in tragedy. but that doesnt exempt him from me smushing him into the angst blender and putting that sucker in turbo blend mode

The angsty side of me wants to say that Serial Killer!Stone's story still ends in tragedy despite dying once already.

Kali dies again and so does Magic User!Reader. The only reason Criminal!Stone is alive is because the universe is just like "This is not how your story ends." And so now he and Serial Killer!Stone are the only ones left and Criminal!Stone turns resentful towards Serial Killer!Stone because if only he hadn't tried to become happy, then you would be alive.
