When Yuuta’s teleported into his room, he’s horrified to see you already there.
You’re wearing his clothes, as per usual, and flopped across his bed while you do your homework—likely waiting for him to get home to help you with the math. Normally, this wouldn’t be out of the ordinary; the two of you have always been close and Yuuta doesn’t mind the way you tend to loiter. The thing is, you were supposed to be out shopping with your girlfriends after class today. You’ve been talking up these plans all month–-Yuuta never imagined you’d cancel.
And here he is, high off his ass on cursed aphrodisiacs (misted straight into his lungs by some flower monster) and contemplating every forbidden fantasy in his arsenal with a newfound urgency.
You jump nearly a foot in the air when you see him, so perfectly still and silent at first that he goes unnoticed.
“Oh my god, nii-san! You scared me!”
You don’t seem to catch how off he is yet, how labored his breaths come or how he’s covered in a sheen of sweat. He wishes you would. Maybe then the proper alarm bells would be ringing and you’d leave.
Yuuta only backs away, shoving hair from his face while his eyes dart all over the room, anywhere to avoid drifting to your body and the way his t-shirt pools around it.
His fatal mistake is his failure to beeline it straight out his bedroom door. In his defense, Yuuta’s thoughts are awfully foggy, and an escape route is hard to pin down, even within his moderately-sized room. Instead he trips over a book bag and lets himself tumble backwards to the floor, his katana thunking loudly when it drops from his shoulder.
His vision and hearing are a bit foggy, too, as he watches you approach him off his bed, almost appearing to move in slow motion.
“Nii-San? What happened to you?”
He makes a strangled sound when you reach to touch his face, leaning away from your hand.
“Just lost my balance! I’m okay. Y’shouldn’t touch me right now.”
Did his words come out slurred?
You frown, letting him know the fall wasn’t what you meant when you were asking, practically pinning him against the wall to feel his forehead.
“Hmm. I can’t tell if you have a fever or you’re just hot.”
“It’s probably nothing. Was fighting a curse earlier and—achoo!“
Yuuta turns away to sneeze just as you move your head to the side to look at him closer. He accidentally sneezes directly into your face, earning a little gasp.
He scoots away frantically then.
“Sorry, sorry! I don’t wanna get you sick, okay? I need to be alone. You can leave.”
You wipe at your face, holding back a giggle at the state of him. You haven’t seen Yuuta this impaired since he had the flu when you were kids.
“Nii-san, you need me to take care of you.” Your tone is matter of fact, but doting too. Deep down you’re relishing in this role reversal—Yuuta’s always the one looking after you, not the other way around.
He starts shaking his head, rubbing tiredly at his eyes when suddenly a wave of vertigo hits you.
Then you’re tumbling to the floor with him.
Your voice sounds far away when you breathe a little woah, taking longer than you should to register what’s just happened. When you do, you turn to Yuuta—a reflex whenever you’re hurt or something goes wrong—you’ve grown spoiled by his overprotective nature. So much so that even the tiniest stumbles have you expecting a warm, calloused hand beneath your elbow, lifting and steadying you.
Yuuta takes longer than he should to come into the focus of your eyes, and when he does you find his face buried in one of his hands while his other adjusts his pants.
“Are you okay?” He sounds breathless, making no move to touch you or help. Something is seriously up.
“Mhm. I don’t know why I just…” You pause, almost forgetting what you’re even saying while your thoughts navigate a new fog. Suddenly you’re warm. “I dunno what came over me.”
Yuuta only scoots a bit farther away in response, dragging himself along the wall. To you it’s almost like he’s moving in slow motion.
“Nii-san, something is wrong. I feel wrong.”
Yuuta’s breaths come in huffs when you drag yourself to him then, nuzzling your way between his bent legs.
“M-me too… that’s why I want you to go.”
You shake your head, staring at Yuuta while he stares back, squirming and uncomfortable under your gaze. The warmth inside you is starting to grow uncomfortable—almost painful between your legs. You wonder if this is exactly how Yuuta’s feeling before you consider the possibility that he may be even worse, having been infected with whatever strange illness this is before he even arrived. He’s really working to hold out on you—what a gentleman.
In fact, you think, that might be the perfect word to describe your sweet big brother. Always looking out for you more than anyone else, Yuuta sets a bar for chivalry unattainable by any man who isn’t him.
He’s always opening your doors and offering you rides. Holding your hand to cross the street, tugging you back if you try to cross without looking and, occasionally, shoving your tangled fingers in his coat pocket if it’s chilly. He always has this protective nature when other men are involved, glaring at wandering eyes and warning you of potential danger (you recall one time he tripped some guy who asked for your number as he was walking away—he was too old for you and clearly had bad intentions).
Then there’s the way he’s thoughtful. Even when you were kids, Yuuta was always getting you gifts, setting time aside from his busy schedule to play with you or take you somewhere—forging some of your favorite memories growing up. You think particularly fondly of all your old dance recitals—how yuuta would always make time to be there and give you flowers and praise (out of all the bouquets your family supplied, his were the only ones that ever earned a spot on your night stand).
Even now you’ve got a vase of pink roses in your bedroom down the hall for passing your latest algebra test.
Yeah, Yuuta’s a chivalrous brother to a tee.
And the heat in your veins has you wishing he’d be anything but.
“Y-yuuta. I need you.” Your hands reach to pull at the open buttons of his uniform, but your wrists are quickly shackled by strong hands, gentle but unyielding.
“Do you know what you’re asking?” His voice is steady for the first time since appearing in his room, albeit a little pained.
“Yes. Yeah I do.”
You scoot closer, and Yuuta’s entire aura seems to change, darkening in a way that leaves goosebumps crawling across your flesh.
Your wrists are freed but you still feel immobilized as Yuuta grabs you carefully by the neck then, tugging your face to his till his lips can capture yours for the very first time.
You can’t deny that you’ve fantasized about kissing Yuuta, if only on the rare occasions that you loosened the reins on your self control. The kiss feels as electric and all-consuming as you’d hoped, hungry like you’re trying to swallow each other whole. His lips are a bit chapped, rougher than yours and hot in a way you’ll surely imprint into your psyche. What surprises you, though, is Yuuta’s brashness; he’s not reserved like you used to imagine he’d be if he kissed you. He’s being selfish, sucking on your lips and licking inside your mouth like you’re his—and when his teeth sink into the plump of your bottom lip you start to realize that maybe you always have been.
Yuuta’s kiss is needy and passionate, but it clearly doesn’t sate him as rough palms travel over your body throughout, kneading your sides and your arms and your thighs till you're rearranged on top of him, straddling where he needs you most.
You’re instinctually grinding down on him once you are, your insides painfully empty and sensitive so that the hard feeling of him through his pant fabric pressing against your clit is the most satisfying feeling you’ve ever had. He’s quickly grabbing at your hips to help push your core against him, and that angle of pressure paired with his attentive mouth against yours has you cumming in minutes, crying out into his mouth while he grips you harshly like a ragdoll, eventually mouthing at your jaw and throat so you can breathe again. It’s the kind of orgasm that has your senses short-circuiting, your vision going in and out of focus while your hearing turns fuzzy—it’s intense and euphoric. You feel drugged.
It’s unnatural how you’re instantly needy again once you come down, panting and light-headed but impatient when you scoot back to reach for his belt. Yuuta’s hand stops yours.
“Hang on—”
“Please! Nii-san, I can’t wait, I need you—”
“I know, let me—“ he interrupts himself to peck your lips again. You want him to never stop doing that—the satisfaction is addicting. “Let me give you head first.”
Those words knock the wind from your lungs. Because now is the first time you truly reckon with a truth you’ve been avoiding… Yuuta is experienced. You don’t know who or when (as far as you’re aware he’s never had a steady girlfriend) but the way he says those words makes it clear. Yuuta has made a woman cum. The idea brings a wave of jealousy you usually keep carefully buried—it’s an unspoken rule yuuta doesn’t mention his romantic affairs, so the reality of his sex life is something you’ve avoided.
“I’m a virgin.” The words bubble out of you uncontrollably. Yuuta chuckles just a little before giving another quick kiss.
“I know. That’s why I’m gonna go down on you.”
The effects of whatever aphrodisiac you’ve been exposed to clearly haven’t waned as Yuuta manhandles you into a position of his liking before he finishes his sentence—neither of you have gained the common sense necessary to move yourselves off the floor to Yuuta’s bed a yard away. Yuuta’s still the most aggressive you’ve ever felt him as he lays you down, trailing kisses and occasional bites down your skin till he makes his way to his own boxers that rest over your hips. You catch a little glare when he spots them, a week ago he told you to stop borrowing these—you’re my little sister! It’s not appropriate.
How ironic, he doesn’t chastise you as he yanks those very same boxers down his little sister’s legs. Then he tosses them aside—not even commenting on how you got them all messy—and instantly sets to work, lapping at your pussy like a man starved.
It isn’t an experience to be taken lightly—the first lick of your brother's tongue has you moaning like a pornstar. You have to grip the roots of Yuuta’s soft hair for stability as his mouth sends electricity through your body, pleasure radiating from your cunt all throughout you till you’re not sure you know what to do with it all. Once he latches to your clit, sucking it like a pacifier while his pretty lashes blink closed in content, you can’t help but come undone again—your orgasm intense and lasting even longer than the last time—this feeling is addicting.
Yuuta licks up as much of your release as he can when you do, then he’s quickly rising up, wiping his face with an arm before tugging off his shirt.
You feel like the luckiest sister in the universe when you finally come back to earth to watch him, his sculpted body glistening in sweat as he reveals more and more skin—all for you.
Yuuta’s pants are tugged off next, but not all the way. He gets impatient once they’re low enough for his cock to be freed, stroking it shamelessly, coating it in the mess he made from cumming in his pants.
Your eyes go wide when you see his size.
“S-sorry I know t’s a lot. Are you doing okay?”
There’s a silent but in there, an unspoken i still need more.
You nod quickly, spreading your bent legs so he has full access—it’s true that you’ve cum hard enough twice to pass out for days, but your body is insatiable. Yuuta’s cock is what it truly wants; you won’t—can’t—rest till you get it.
Yuuta’s wasting no time—clearly as needy for you as you are for him. He’s already leaning over you, running his tip through your folds before you can find the desperate words to reply, “Need you inside me, Yuu.”
That’s as much confirmation as Yuuta needs before he thrusts, stretching your virgin hole till it molds to fit him. There’s a pinch, a sting that pricks tears in your eyes as you accommodate his thick girth, but it’s replaced by the pure relief of him in a matter of seconds. You whine when he bottoms out, your body clenching and grinding towards him of its own volition—again, you’re insatiable. Luckily Yuuta seems to be on the same page as he quickly pulls almost completely out of you, earning a louder whine before slamming back in, hitting a deep, warm spot that has your vision blurring.
It’s ruthless and mean the way he starts beating your cunt then—you can’t help but contrast it to the way Yuuta rocked you in his lap just a night ago to soothe you through a scary thunderstorm. This man, the one snapping his hips against your hole with bruising force and no breaks, is a different man completely.
You want to meet him halfway, to contribute to creating the absolute bliss that his cock quickly brings you, but your body can hardly keep up once Yuuta gets going. He’s so fast and strong, the most you can do is lay there and take it, clawing at his shoulders and back in a way that matches his animalistic energy.
Maybe a minute is all it takes before your body comes undone around Yuuta’s cock. Almost too eagerly and certainly the fastest you’ve ever cum before—it would be embarrassing if it weren’t for Yuuta’s loud, wanton moan at the feel of it.
“F-fuck your pussy’s too tight! Why does it feel so—ngh good—“ Yuuta fills you up for the first time then, flooding your insides with his creamy seed before you even finish twitching from your own release. The heat of your big brother’s cum in your tummy is irreplaceable—you fall in love with the feeling and don’t want it ever to leave.
Luckily Yuuta’s not done, he’s still hard even after he pumps you full, and his movements don’t relent, in fact it almost feels like he’s fucking you deeper.
“Y-yuuta it’s so much…” you manage to say through the stuffed sensation that reaches your throat.
You’re still crazy with want, you feel like you’d die if he stopped, and yet your mysterious sex-craze does nothing to counteract the overstimulation.
“‘M sorry, ‘m really sorry I can’t stop,” Yuuta pries your weak legs up while he talks, folding you up in a mating press. You don’t have the words to reassure him that it’s fine, that you need this, because then you’re coming undone again, throbbing wildly on Yuuta’s cock while your eyes roll back in your head. Yuuta cums with you shortly after, and something in you rejoices that he’s filling you with more of himself—that he’s irreversibly spilling into your most intimate parts.
He pulls out after that, and your legs go limp—all of you lifeless except your twitching, leaking cunt. It’s a good thing Yuuta’s still needy though, because even if your legs lack the strength to hold him, your insides are devastated by the lack of him—it’s wrong that he’s not still inside you.
“Yuuta—“ you start to protest before he’s manhandling you, dragging you till you’re half draped across his bed, shoving your school books and pencils out of the way. It’s like you’re partially standing, bent forward with your tummy against the mattress, but you let your legs dangle limply while you lay, unable to hold yourself.
“I know pretty,” he replies, spreading your messy thighs and cunt before shoving himself back inside you, “can’t be done.”
The sound his cock makes is obscene as it spreads you open again, paired with the whine you let out at the sensitive feeling mixed with relief. The new angle yuuta reaches makes you feel stuffed all the way to your chest.
Yuuta doesn’t waste time before he’s pumping into you as relentlessly as before, pulling easy orgasms from you again and again till your hips are bruised from his hands and his comforter is soaked with your tears and snot and cum.
Yuuta’s crying too by the time he cums a final time, gasping and whining while he fills you with what feels like his entire remaining life force, eventually using the last of his energy to pull out with a wince and collapse on the bed, pulling you up so you’re all the way on the bed next to him. You both lose consciousness finally.
When Yuuta wakes he’s under unusual covers, and finds his vision illuminated by a pink night light—it takes him a minute to recognize that he’s in your room.
But he’s still naked. He sits up with a gasp, reaching for you as the events of evening come flooding back to him, but you’re nowhere to be found—he realizes you must have coaxed him in here for some reason then left. The clock beside him reads five in the morning, but considering how early the two of you passed out the night before, it’s not surprising you’d clearly already woken.
Yuuta sips from a cup of water on your nightstand, then finds a used bath towel you’ve got hooked on your door and wraps it around his hips, venturing dizzily out into the apartment.
He hears the laundry machine going, and passes his room to find his bed stripped of sheets, the mess from your school supplies cleaned up.
Then he finds you in the kitchen with wet hair, clean clothes and an apron, flipping pancakes.
You look delighted when you see him—more than usual—with a sweet smile and giant pupils.
“Yuuta! Made you breakfast.” You say making your way to him.
Not that Yuuta’s had much time to think on it, (he wasn’t worrying over his future when your tight pussy was milking his drugged senses yesterday, that’s for sure), but in the back of his mind, he was sure that fucking you would have irreparable effects on your relationship. You’d always love each other, of that much he was certain—you had a mutual trust in that department for sure. But he was also sure things would be awkward, maybe you’d need space at first and wouldn’t look at him the same.
But then you hop your way over to him once he walks into the kitchen, rubbing hands up his bare chest before locking your arms behind his neck, reaching up on tiptoes to kiss his lips. And it’s not just a peck, either. And the curse’s aphrodisiacs have worn off.
And maybe, the irreparable effects from last night aren’t going to be so awkward after all.

Bucky angst fic idea!
Bucky always flirting with Sarah to make Y/n jealous, but what he doesn't realise is all these are just making her more insecure and hurting her (blame my past relationships for that).
And it's quite apparent that she's hurt. By the time he realises, Y/n is deep into the spiral. But obviously, a happy and fluffy ending (maybe smut), cause otherwise I will die from broken heart 😩😩
I hope you enjoy this! and I'm sorry you've had bad experiences with relationships. It's their loss.
summary - bucky flirts with sarah to make you jealous, forgetting that you aren't as secure as you come off.
warning - angst, fluff.

‘Did I do something wrong?’ You think as you watch Bucky laugh at something Sarah said. ‘Maybe I’m not pretty enough for him anymore?’ His eyes flicker over to you, shooting you a smirk before he looks back at her, touching her arm softly with his metal one. ‘What could he be saying for her to laugh like that?’ You don’t know why you're doing this to yourself, but you continue to watch. Every laugh, every touch, every word sends pain through your chest.
You don’t notice Sam looking over at you, and you don’t see how he shoots daggers at Bucky and his sister. The only time you are brought out of your haze is when you hear shouting, blinking away the tears in your eyes. Your gaze focuses on Sam pushing and punching Bucky, screaming at him. You watch as he turns and begins shouting at his sister.
You get up and decide to leave because watching Bucky fight back and defend another woman and his actions feels more painful than watching them flirt. After walking for a while, you come across a secluded area with a beautiful ocean view, feeling so lost in your head that you don’t get to enjoy the sounds of nature around you. Your mind was too busy racing with thoughts of not being good enough for anyone anymore that maybe you should’ve never fallen for the blue-eyed soldier's smile or sweet words.
Because you left, you don’t notice Bucky’s gaze focusing on the empty spot or that he no longer hears Sam screaming in his ear. You don’t see the utter panic appearing on Bucky’s face or that he begins to spin, frantically searching for you. You are so lost in your head that you don’t hear him screaming your name, you don’t hear him finding you, you don’t hear the utter relief in his voice when he whispers your name.
Because why would you? This man you thought was supposed to love you and only you, who wasn’t supposed to hurt you, did. Knowing how insecure you are, pulling you deeper into your mind that, of course, you wouldn’t notice him looking for you or finding you. Because you didn’t think Bucky cared enough to come looking for you, you thought that he’d be too lost in Sarah’s eyes to notice you missing.
“Baby?” Bucky walks forward, “Doll?” His brows furrow as he doesn’t receive a response, walking so that he’s in front of you. His heart jumps in his throat when he sees how far he’s pushed you. Bucky quickly crouches down, taking your tear-soaked cheeks in his hands. “Babydoll, I’m so sorry! Fuck, I’m such an idiot. Baby, baby!” He strokes your cheeks with his thumb, desperately trying to bring you out of this. His arms wrap around your body, picking you up and carrying you to the house, dismissing Sam and Sarah when they try to step forward.
He carries you to the guest room, cradling your face into his neck as he whispers sweet nothings against your hair. Bucky lies down, bringing you with him, holding you tightly against his body. “I’m so so sorry, babydoll. You are the only one I have eyes for, believe me! You are the reason I wake up in the morning, the only thing I look forward to.” His blue eyes flicker down to your face, noticing that yours are focused on his face, finally brought out of your state but staying quiet.
Bucky strokes your bottom lip, staring at you lovingly. “I love you so much, and I will forever be sorry for what I’ve done. I should have realised that trying to make you jealous wasn’t right and was pathetic. I have such a beautiful dame on my arm, yet I felt the need to be a jerk.” His eyes fill with tears, and a sigh of relief leaves him when you roll over and cuddle into him.
“I love you too, Bucky. But please don’t do it again.” You look up at him, pleading with your eyes as you don’t know if you’ll survive being hurt like that again.
“Of course, doll. I’ll never do it again. You’re my doll forever and as long as you have me. I’ll continue making it up to you.” He places a soft kiss against your head, holding you tight against him as you both slowly drift off to sleep.

fighting with felix be like
Tumblr media
“You’re being ridiculous, y/n.”
His words stung, adding onto the heavy pain you were already feeling. “Am I though? Your ex was with us right there tonight. Am I ridiculous for feeling jealous?” He halted abruptly and turned around. “That is what this is about? You were jealous because of my ex?”
Your eyes were glued to the floor. This was your first relationship, and you had no idea how to navigate tough situations like these. Felix’ gaze softened as he understood why you made his night a living hell.
He embraced you in his arms and kissed your forehead, whispering to you softly. “Sweetums, I had no idea you felt that way. I’m sorry. Please believe me that you have nothing to worry about. My ex is my ex for a reason. Okay?”
His loving eyes pierced through yours and you felt butterflies all over again. You felt stupid for acting like a bitch tonight. Shame flooded your system – you wanted to be a cool girl, not a pathetic one.
You thought about ways to make it up to him. As you fumbled with the zipper of his jeans you looked him deep in the eyes and mumbled your apology. “Let me show you how sorry I am.”
Your boyfriend’s eyes widened in surprise – up to now you hadn’t done something like this before.
Felix was more experienced than you were, he definitely wasn’t timid in bed. But he respected you and gave you all the time you needed. You loved the kissing, licking, groping, or fingering but everything else had been new territory for you.
“Sweetums, are you sure?”
You nodded, biting your lip in anticipation. He sat down on the couch after you slid off his dark jeans. His tight boxers were fighting to contain his dick, the bulge was too prominent to ignore.
You had no idea how to do this. Should you have watched some porn before? Shit.
Your fingers grazed his thighs, leaving him shivering in anticipation. Felix’ noticed you tensing up, so he took your face into his hand and placed a sweet kiss on your lips. “Don’t overthink it, baby. Just let it happen naturally.”
You freed his cock out of his boxers. “Damn”, you admired him. “Lixie, your dick is gorgeous.” He laughed out loud. “Thank you sweetums. My dick thinks you’re gorgeous, too.” Now you laughed. You got on your knees and braided your hair into a ponytail, ready for action.
“Well, let me introduce myself properly.”
You had been bopping your head on his dick for almost an hour, you couldn’t get enough. Felix was thick – filling you completely. You almost choked a couple times, but you didn’t care, taking him deep was so fulfilling. You felt dirty, like you were doing something wrong. Your tongue glided over his cock, veins popping out left and right. He was close so many times, twitching in your mouth relentlessly. His deep moans filled the whole room and you never felt prouder. “Sweetums, fuck. I’m about to faint, this feels so fucking good.”
You quickened your pace and sucked harder, covering him and yourself in spit. Felix groaned again and sat up straight, taking your ponytail in his hands, pulling tightly. “Look at me, baby. Look at me while you take me like a little slut.”
Oh, you felt your pussy twitch. Fuck, that was hot. Let me be your little slut, Lixie. I’d do anything for you. You held his gaze while you were sucking and massaging his balls.
His pupils dilated; he was loving this so much. You didn’t think it would be possible for him to get even harder, but it was. It was as if you were licking a rock. “Can I.. can I come in your pretty mouth?”
You squeezed his thighs. God yes, let me taste you. Felix understood and rocked his hips forward, his dick shooting right into the back of your throat, making your eyes water. “God, y/n, I…fuck!”
Felix cum tasted like nothing you had ever tasted before. A mixture of sweet and salty, just like he was. You sucked him dry, licking off every droplet of his salvation.
You had no idea if he was satisfied but you were proud of yourself. “Fuck, sweetums – what was that?” Felix smiled from ear to ear and pulled you to him on the couch. You were laying on his chest, very aware of his heavy breathing. “Was that.. okay?”
He looked at you amused. “Are you kidding? That was the best blowjob I ever got. I wasn’t kidding about fainting. That was intense!” He kissed you tenderly. “Thank you, y/n. I loved it.” You smiled back proudly. Felix hugged you even tighter now. “Did you really do that because of our fight?” You looked up at him, smiling shyly. “Yeah. I felt sorry for how I behaved and I.. I wanted to make it up to you.”
You played with his shirt, waiting for his reply. “Well, if that is the case then we should fight more often. Don’t you think?”

Blood Ties Chapter 26
Series Masterlist
Warnings: Mainly just pregnancy stuff
A/N: I hope I pulled this off while keeping our archer in character. Be gentle.

You knew it was bothering him, it was evident in the way he moved. The jerking slices of the knife as he made bolts while he sat cross legged on the old railing across from you. You were perched on the porch swing—he had all but jumped up and down on it to make sure it would hold you safely—just watching him, guilt flaring to singe the inside of your chest. He wanted to go on the run, get the things that you and the baby needed, but you were scared. Hershel had said the baby could come any day. It was at your insistence that Daryl wasn’t going. You didn’t have to try hard, mind you. He was worried about leaving you as well.
Still, it wasn’t sitting right with him for the others to be risking their necks for his baby.
“Maybe you should go.” You finally said, picking at your thumbnail. You saw his movements come to an abrupt halt before continuing.
“Nah. Ya need me here.” He sniffed, starting up on another piece of wood. He had legitimate bolts with his crossbow, so you could only assume he was just trying to keep his hands busy. He was so undeniably torn and it was showing.
“I think you should. You know what I need. You’ve read the books. Maggie will be there to help with the medical side of things, the list Hershel made.” You sat up straighter, attempting to massage the little foot away from your ribs. Of course, Daryl noticed.
“S’wrong?” He was climbing off the rail and made it over to you in one long stride, giving you a once over before he sat down. He didn’t ask before taking over for you, lightly rubbing over the little form of toes with the smallest, gentlest of smiles. You’d almost consent to constant discomfort if it meant you’d see more of that expression.
“Thumper has a personal vendetta against my ribcage.” Your head found your partner’s shoulder, watching that same laser focus that had moments ago been on the wood he was carving now honed in on you. For a moment, you were just a couple expecting a baby. For a moment, the world hadn’t ended. For a moment, you had managed to find perfect. “I love you.”
Daryl’s hand froze but for a mere heartbeat before his fingertips continued chasing little toes as if he were playing a game with the baby, when in reality he was simply trying to divert the tiny digits away from your ribs. “So ya keep sayin’.”
“So you keep saying. Is that all you’re ever gonna say?” You weren’t angry, not even frustrated. There was merely a soft curiosity that sat in the back of your mind; along with the little voice that assured you Daryl was yours and you were his, even if he could never say the words.
“Dunno.” It always unsettled you when he spoke so quietly, small and fragile as if he feared his words would end in some sort of pain. God, you wanted to bury his father in a gopher hole, maybe even his mother and brother. It was normal for a person to be unsure of feelings, to question and explore before accepting what they were, good or bad. Daryl didn’t have that capability. He questioned. He explored. And then he feared, good or bad. He didn’t think he deserved good and he was so attuned with bad that it’s what came naturally in his own reactions. Perhaps he thought you were trying to fix him, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. You didn’t see anything broken. You saw someone who had never been shown what love was supposed to feel like. He wasn’t broken, he just needed to learn, and Daryl was good at learning.
Still you persevered, your fingers finding their way into his hair, delicately tracing the scar from Andrea’s bullet. “Do you love me, Daryl?” Maybe narrowing it down to a simple yes or no would make it easier for him. Maybe you were pushing him. You would need time if the answer was no but you would be okay. He cared enough to be with you, to raise Thumper as a family. In the end, that was all you needed.
But then his hand stilled on the center of your swollen belly and he lifted his head to seek out your gaze. Even with all the emotion stirring in those stormy pools of blue, you could easily see the fear, but there was something else. You continued to run your fingers through his hair, the color darkening somewhat as it grew. Even with that comforting gesture, you held his gaze, heard his breath stutter, watched his lips move so, so nimbly without a sound. His free hand came up to brush back your own hair, tenderly tucking it behind your ear. As he leaned toward you, the corners of your mouth lifted into a welcoming smile.
“Y/N, I—”
“We’re heading out!” Glenn called from the doorway before stepping onto the porch. Daryl pulled away fast, his hands on his knees, eyes downcast.
You were going to absolutely torture Glenn before you murdered him.
“You sure you don’t wanna go, Daryl?” Rick had joined Glenn and was checking his weapons before he finally looked up.
Daryl, though, only had eyes for you; his bowed head angled to see you, questioning.
You sighed with a smile, giving him a nudge with your elbow. “Go. Try to find those bra pad things. Cloths suck and they hurt my nipples.” There was no deeper shade of red that could color his skin. You laughed, loud and true. “Go. We’ll be fine.” Licking his lips nervously, Daryl nodded and left the swing.
T-Dog held out the archer’s bag and crossbow. “Thought you might change your mind. Went ahead and grabbed these.” He only received a nod.
The group began to descend the steps, but Daryl paused at the end, looking back to you. He closed the distance in seconds, a finger hooking under your chin to lift your face higher, even though you were already looking at him. “Be back ‘fore dark. Promise.”
That earned him one of your sweetest smiles. “We’ll be waiting.” You patted your belly. The rough hand at your chin, moved to your jaw, his thumb stroking the apple of your cheek. “I love you, Daryl. Be safe.” He hesitated, long enough for something to stir in your chest. Hope? Excitement? Then he merely nodded and was gone.
Tumblr media
You and Lori were given the least strenuous tasks. She was not far behind you. A few weeks, her belly almost as prominent as your own. Luckily, you found it helped for folding clothing before stuffing them in the correct bag. Your bare feet were propped up in a chair across from you, your ankles swollen, squeezed by the socks that you had to wear to keep them warm. Your body just ached all over. Thumper Dixon was playing field hockey with your internal organs and the nausea you had definitely not missed was threatening to make a comeback. You just felt awful.
“The last month is the worst.” Lori commented while packing away some of Carl’s clothing. “And it’ll take a while after the baby comes to feel human again.”
“Growing a human fucking sucks.” You groused, one of Daryl’s few shirts lying spread over your torso. “And goddamnit, I have to pee. I always have to pee.”
“Means you’re hydrated at least. Silver linings.” Lori tittered. If anyone had been watching the two of you battling to your feet, it would have been worthy of more than a few chuckles.
“Thanks for going with me. Daryl would have a kitten if I went alone.” When you straightened, there was an immediate feeling of change in your body that had you looking to Lori, eyes wide. “Holy shit, I can breathe but I feel like I’m gonna piss my pants and my hips hurt.”
She smiled and placed her hands over her own round bump. “The baby dropped. You're carrying differently now. I wish we had a mirror.”
“Carrying differently? What do you—oh.” You immediately noticed when you began to massage the taut skin that the swell sat lower. You suddenly couldn’t remember a word the old man had said. Were you about to go into labor? How would Daryl know? You couldn’t do it without him.
“Easy, Y/N.” At some point, the other woman had crossed the small space and put her hands on your shoulders, your stomachs brushing against one another. “It just means the baby’s getting ready. Though, I think after this run, Daryl should probably consider staying behind on any others.” You nodded, trying to get your breathing under control. In through the nose, out through the mouth. “Let’s go take care of business and then let Hershel do his daily thing, okay?”
You nodded again, a jerky motion while you trembled. “Yeah. Yeah, okay.” You followed behind her, trying to keep your mind on the fact that if you didn’t empty your bladder within the next couple of minutes, you would still be incredibly anxious but you would be so with wet pants. “Maybe the little gremlin can’t reach my ribs now.”
Tumblr media
You felt like crap. All day, you felt heavy and sluggish, swollen and nauseous. By late afternoon, you just couldn’t stand it anymore.
“Carol.” You spoke her name quietly, leaning onto the dusty countertop to pillow your head on your folded arms. You saw the concern on her face when she turned from canned foods with which she was planning small meals. You couldn’t even wave away her worry. “Do you need my help right now? I think I’d really like to lie down.”
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” She came to place a hand on your back, rubbing softly. It only succeeded in making your yearn for Daryl to be there, easing your fears in his own Daryl way. He would probably already have an aneurysm when someone told him that you’d done work, light as it was. And then you needed to tell him that the baby had indeed dropped. God, even if you didn’t tell him, he’d notice with that keen eye of his. Your stomach had shifted, still round but lower. There was so much pressure on your pelvis that you thought the bones might separate at any moment. Lori had promised that what you were feeling was normal, that it was simply new and you would take a day or two to adjust unless the baby decided to make its debut before you could.
“I just don’t feel well.” You stood straighter, nodding that she could remove her hand and you were fine. “I’d rather have Daryl come back to me feeling like shit and resting than to me feeling like shit and trying to help get things done.”
“I can’t argue with that.” She laughed.
Carol was about the only other person in the group that Daryl dropped any of his walls around. With Rick, it was all business. There was respect there, but not yet friendship. You could see it though, the subtle changes in your hunter. He was getting comfortable around these people. It was a snail’s pace but if they were anything like you hoped they were, he would be granted their patience. God knew, he had earned it.
“Come on.” Carol urged. “Let’s get you settled.”
With each step, you whined, feeling less and less like the woman you had been only months before, like she had been left behind somewhere, starved or trampled by a herd. “I hate this. Is it wrong to hate this?” You grimaced at Carol who only chuckled breathily, her hand resting on your cheek.
“It’s not wrong. This is a lot. Our bodies do a lot.” A couple of soft pats and then she bent down to straighten the bedroll and arrange the blankets.
You were watching, actually finding yourself excited to be off your feet and deciding that a nap wouldn’t be so horrible when there was a strange feeling low in your belly. It started as a gradual tightening but soon turned into an unyielding cramp, your stomach hard beneath your hands as you grabbed for your sweater. You gasped Carol’s name, could hear her clearly calling for Hershel but you couldn’t seem to respond, swallowed up by every fear that had been looming like a dark shadow for the past few weeks. The pain wasn’t even horrible, not like you had imagined at all. But it was terrifying. The only thing you could think of to do was hold the area that housed your little Thumper and whimper out Daryl’s name.
Tumblr media
A bed had been cleared, dusted, and made for you in the downstairs room. As you laid there, resting, and stared at the half empty cup of water on the bedside table, you overheard Beth and Carl animatedly re-telling how two walkers had shuffled by the driveway gate. The children had hid and remained quiet, reporting that no others were seen once those two had moved on. You weren’t naive enough to hope that it didn’t mean more were coming. The group would need to pack up and head out likely within the next day or so.
“Braxton Hicks.” Hershel had stated matter-of-factly. He had expressed that he was actually surprised you hadn’t experienced them before then, added that maybe you had but they were so mild that you just didn’t notice. You had two more instances over the course of three hours but nothing since then, though your body seemed to be in a constant state of dread, waiting for another to happen; for it to be more than what Hershel had said. You were waiting for something to be wrong.
Beyond the dusty, tattered green curtains, you could see the light fading. Daryl would be back soon. Would he blame you for bringing this on by doing a little work? Would he be angry? He’d be beside himself with worry, that much was a given. Hershel had said you could do small chores, that it was good for you to be moving, but what if Daryl didn’t see it that way? The morning had started so perfectly. The conversation had been left unfinished but it didn’t seem to have been heading anywhere bleak.
“Ugh.” You didn’t know what was more exhausting, your body or your brain. Each time you closed your eyes, your mind ran rampant with each and every wildly negative scenario it could possibly conjure. You groaned and rolled to your other side despite the effort and apprehensiveness of even moving. Letting your eyes close yet again, you fought against the intrusive thoughts, forcing images of what Thumper might look like instead. A little girl with Daryl’s eyes and your smile. A little boy with unruly light hair like Daryl’s had been, a constant scowl. You laughed softly, wetly, shedding a few tears around your smile. No matter the sex of the baby, you hoped for Daryl’s eyes. They were the one thing to always gave him away, no matter what expression he wore. With a baby that couldn’t communicate needs and wants, you would at least have that in your corner.
At some point, you must have dozed off, opening your eyes to the sound of the old truck Daryl was driving. Looking to the window, you could see the faint light of dusk giving way to the moon. He’d kept his promise, albeit barely. You didn’t care as long as he was back. Shifting and struggling, you finally made it upright just as you heard Glenn’s all too cheerful voice, though you couldn’t make out the words. Rick’s few words trailed right after. Then there was Daryl. He spoke but then there was nothing more than hushed tones. Hershel offering the day's events, most likely. A thud was followed by echoing stomps of boots pounding against the hardwood floors.
“Where is she?” Daryl roared, closer to the door.
“She’s fine, son. She’s resting. This is normal. It just caused a bit of a fright. She just—”
“Where. Is. She?!”
The old man must have nodded or pointed because the next thing you knew, the door was swinging open with Daryl’s silhouette backdropped by the soft candlelight in the other room. His shoulders were heaving in what sounded so close to sobs that you squinted your eyes for a chance to catch his expression before he moved, startling you with how quickly he had one knee on the bed and was leaning in to check you over himself. He was filthy, mostly dirt and grime, but spots of walker blood and a cut across his cheek that was no longer bleeding.
“What happened?” You asked, reaching for his face but letting your hand hover in fear of hurting him.
“Don’t matter. Ya alright? Baby okay?” He was breathless, either from his haste to get to you or maybe just with worry. He was touching you without hesitance, his hands in a mad rush to feel your face, neck, your belly. You watched his eyes go wide and knew exactly what it meant. “Why’s it look diff’rent?”
“Thumper dropped.” His eyes were dancing back and forth as he flipped through his mental catalog of reading material and Hershel’s words. Relief was evident in his posture when he recalled what he had been searching for, but he was still tense.
“Hershel said ya was crampin’. The fake shit. Does it hurt now?” You shook your head and watched him finally sink onto his hip beside you, scrubbing a hand over his face. “Shouldn’a gone. Ya didn’t need to be alone through that.”
“Hey.” You leaned as far as you could, to guide his hand away with one hand while the other used his chin to turn his face toward you. “I wasn’t alone and we’re okay. It’s just my body getting ready.” Daryl’s head tilted, his expression displaying his gratitude for your attempts at consolation but also heavy laden with guilt for leaving you there. “Daryl, you had to go.”
“Didn’t hafta do nothin’. Could’a stayed right here where ya need me to be.”
He hadn’t asked what you had been doing. Maybe it wasn’t that important to him after all. He seemed to be more concerned with what happened and how you currently felt than anything. You truly needed to start trusting him as you wanted so badly for him to trust you. Your palm left his face and wrapped around the back of his neck, not needing much pressure to pull him to you for your lips to press against his. It was gentle and chaste, his hand leaving your belly to cup your jaw.
“We’re okay and you’re here now.” You soothed, kissing the corner of his mouth. “Just—no more runs until Thumper’s here, okay?”
“No more runs.” He agreed, his eyes closed, forehead against yours. “Ain’t leavin’ ya again.” His hand lowered back to your belly, rubbing back and forth. It was always the most tender thing you’d ever seen from him. You didn’t think him the type but he actually seemed to be calmed by the action. “D’ya need anythin’?”
“Just you.” You let him help you lie back, but he didn’t follow.
“Need to clean up. I’ll be quick.” He made to stand up but you grabbed his forearm and pulled yourself up again, not stopping once you got there. He gave in to your incessant tugging and wrapped his arms around you. “You’re gonna need to change too now.” You sniffled, trying hard not to cry, but you were just so overwhelmed with relief that he was back in one piece, that nothing bad had truly happened, that he was going to stay. “Don’t cry, woman. M’here.”
“I know. I’m just—I’m happy. I have you and Thumper. And—I don’t deserve you, Daryl Dixon.”
Daryl scoffed, rubbing his cheek against the crown of your head. “Ya deserve way better than me, Sunshine.” He took a deep breath that actually shifted you against his chest and then he was tightening his embrace. “But I love ya. An’ m’here unless ya tell me to get lost.” He pulled away before you could say anything, heading quickly for the door with one last look before he walked out. You were stunned frozen, silent.
He said it.
He said it and you could feel that he meant it. His actions had always conveyed it, but hearing it from his mouth was everything.
Thumper rolled and kicked before going still, reacting to all the emotions you were feeding to them through your bond. When you laid down again, it wasn’t hard to fall asleep. No wicked images formed behind your eyes. Just those words replaying in your head, a baby’s tiny hand gripping a large finger. A child’s giggle. And then his voice again.
Your eyes didn’t want to obey when you bid them to open, the mattress dipping beside you, the sheets moving. A warm arm pulled you against an even warmer body, enveloping you in a veil of safety.
Everything would be okay.
Because you loved Daryl.
And Daryl loved you.

Sweet Pain
Kai Anderson x virgin!reader smut
word count: 2.3k
my first ever actual Kai smut and… I kinda hate it but I’m not gonna waste 2.3k words and three days of my life to not post it
warnings: Uhm Kai… blowjobs, forceful Kai, unprotected sex, loss of virginity
Tumblr media
Kai wasn’t exactly one to be gentle. He just wasn’t. It wasn’t in his nature. You’d known Kai for many months. Had been his first ‘follower’ as he called you. You would have liked to at least be called a friend. That’s what you were, right? Friends? You’d been there for Kai since day one. Supported him in everything he did, made sure he always had food, and anything else he needed, all to just be called a follower?
It hurt. It hurt to see him treat you like nothing when you were there before everyone else. The only real person who came before you was his own sister. Winter. Now don’t get it wrong, he could be nice when he wanted to, but it was usually for his gain. He wasn’t just nice for the hell of it.
But one thing was for sure. You were his. His alone. His little lamb. No matter how hard it was for him to show it, he did love you in some way.
The one thing he hadn’t done yet was make love to you. Or…well, fuck you. You were a virgin, and you made that known. Kai wasn’t worried about that. He could take you anytime he wanted to, so it wasn’t for your sake that he waited.
He wanted you so tightly wrapped around his finger that getting to take your virginity was just the icing on his odd, cultish cake.
And that’s exactly what he did.
After one of many weekly meetings with his followers, he asked you to stay behind. You swallowed hard, a swell of nervousness rising up inside. You knew you hadn’t done anything wrong, so why were you still so nervous? Maybe because it was Kai. You never knew what to expect from him. He was unpredictable.
“Little lamb, why are you so nervous?” He asked with a chuckle, smoothing his bright blue hair out of his face as his eyes scanned your body. You weren’t sure you liked the way he was looking at you right now. It was almost predatory.
“I just… I’m not in trouble am I?” You asked, swallowing hard as you felt your voice shake.
“Why would you be in trouble, little lamb. Unless…” he began, taking a step towards you “you did something wrong?” He asked curiously
“No! No I didn’t… I didn’t do anything wrong I just-“
“Then you have nothing to be afraid of. I just want to talk to you.” He said gently. It was odd. His voice didn’t match his posture or expression. It was too… sweet. Almost a fake kind of sweet.
He carefully brushed his hand down your cheek, forcing you to look at him. Without a word he took your hand and led you upstairs. You figured you’d talk in the living room, but he led you up another flight of stairs and to his room. A shudder ran through you. What was he planning?
“Kai I- I don’t-“ he hushed you dismissively, closing the door behind you, and much to your worry, locked it too. There was no good reason why he would lock it.
“Get on the bed for me.” He said sternly, beginning to take off his jacket
“Woah- woah what are you d-doing?” You backed up until you hit the bed, having no choice but to sit.
“I’m going to take you to bed. Isn’t that obvious? You’re smart aren’t you dear?” He chuckled, lifting off his shirt and revealing his toned, milky body.
“What?” Your eyes were wide as you looked up at him, now hovering over you, hands on his belt buckle.
“But I’m a-“
“Virgin, yes I know. I’m well aware, but after tonight you won’t be.”
His words nearly made your heart stop. He was going to take your virginity? After all these months, all this time longing for him? After begging for any scrap of his attention?
You just nodded slowly, because at this point did you even really have a choice? It was Kai here, he wouldn’t care if you fought him. If he wanted something, he was going to get it.
“I’ll be gentle with you this one time, since it’s your first. But don’t expect anything after that. Got it?”
All you could do was nod, unable to find words. Your eyes locked onto his hands that were deftly undoing his belt, sliding it through the loops in his pants before tossing it onto the floor. One step closer you thought.
“Now my little lamb, you’re going to be a good girl and take my cock, yes? Yes, you’ll be my good girl.” Oh god, his voice. His fucking voice. It was so rough, so deep.
“You’re going to be polite, and you’re going to do everything daddy tells you to, got it? Or else I’ll have to punish you, and I don’t want to have to do that..” he trailed off, unbuttoning and unzipping his jeans, pulling them down to his knees.
“Yes K-Kai…” you muttered. Kai wasn’t happy with that answer. He slammed you against the bed, crawling on top of you as he practically ripped off your shirt. You wanted to squirm away, but he held you so tight that you couldn’t get out of his grip.
“You’re- y-you’re hurting me-'' you cried, looking up at him with wide eyes, for the first time, truly afraid of the man on top of you.
“You can call me a lot of things in bed. Kai isn't one of them.” He growled, breath hot against your face.
“Daddy for example.. or divine ruler.” He put extra emphasis on the latter, which could only make you assume he preferred that one.
“I-I’m sorry d-divine ruler-“ you sniffled, eyes welling with tears as you swallowed hard. Much to your relief, Kai let up, letting go of you and sitting up.
“I think I know a better way for you to apologize.” He grinned, pulling his boxers down. You couldn’t help but glance down… and what you saw made your core flutter.
His cock was thick, hard, and leaking pre-cum from the tip. His large hand was wrapped around it, stroking it slowly as he watched you watch him.
“Well…?” He said, looking at you like you were stupid. And maybe you were. Maybe you were stupid for even being with him. For being in this situation. But right now all you could think about was his thick cock down your throat.
You carefully reached a hand out to stroke him, his length so girthy that your fingers barely reached fully around it. It was definitely going to hurt when he put it inside of you. If it even fits, that is.
You lowered your quivering lips to the tip of his cock, pressing a gentle kiss to it. You weren’t exactly scared, just… a bit nervous. You hadn’t done anything like this before and you weren’t exactly sure what to expect. Especially with Kai.
Kai hummed his approval, looking down at you as he tapped his thick cock head against your lips, urging you on.
“Come on baby, be a good girl for me, yeah? Be so good and maybe you’ll get rewarded.”
You had no choice but to listen. Kai was like a drug. Addictive. You couldn’t just stop. That’s not how it worked with him.
You enveloped the head of his cock between your lips, sucking on it like a lollipop. That’s what you’d seen in the very few porn videos you’d watched.
You felt a bit better about it all when Kai groaned above you, adam’s apple bobbing in his throat as he tilted his head back again. He looked sinful. Beautiful.
“Goooood fucking girl. Keep going, choke on it.” And you did. Kai pushed into your mouth further, causing your throat to close up and your gag reflex to start. He didn’t care, nor did he stop. He fucked into your throat, holding your hair tightly in his grip as he let his cock slide in and out of your awaiting mouth. You were sure your throat would be bruised after this all.
This went on for a few minutes before Kai seemed satisfied. Tears fell down your face, smudging your mascara. Your lips were puffy and swollen, and your throat was scratchy, a lingering taste of… man on your tongue.
“Very good girl for me, for your divine ruler.” He crawled back over you again, hands roaming across your body as his deft fingers unbuttoned your pants, pulling them off in one quick motion. You suddenly felt very vulnerable in only your bra and panties.
“Don’t hide from me, you’re gorgeous.” He spoke, seeming to sense your embarrassment. He seemed to know everything. Always one step ahead.
He nearly ripped your panties off as he tugged them down your legs, leaving your lower half completely bare to him. Exposed. Your heart fluttered hard in your chest, beating a million miles a minute as you tried to keep your legs closed.
Kai clicked his tongue in distaste, immediately shoving his way between your thighs, placing his thick cock head at your entrance. That’s when you realized he wasn’t even going to prep you on his fingers first. What an asshole.
“K-Kai-i'm not-“ you tried to speak, but he dismissed you, his dick brushing against your clit which sent a pleasurable spark through your body. It was soon diminished by the searing pain of him stretching you completely open on his cock.
“Hush my little lamb. You were made for this. Made to take me. Take my seed.” He whispered against your ear, breathing labored as he continued to push into you.
Your eyes were squeezed shut, a few tears managing to slip as you cried quietly. It hurt. It was an odd pain. One that wasn’t easily explained. Almost searing, but dull. Not completely unbearable but not nice either.
“Gooooood fucking girl.” He cooed, the praise making you perk up a bit. He had pushed himself into the hilt and was just resting against you, being nice enough to let you adjust.
He didn’t kiss you. Didn’t really do anything, just waited a few minutes to give you the chance to calm yourself. To adjust to the foreign feeling of him inside of you.
He did finally pull out and you glanced down between your bodies, gasping as you saw his cock was covered in a thin layer of blood. Your blood. You were bleeding.
“K-Kai-“ he could have reprimanded you for using his name, but he sensed your worry and shook his head, hands rubbing over your thighs comfortingly.
“It’s normal.” He said casually, beginning to rock back into you gently, a grunt falling from his lips.
“Not all women bleed. Some do. It just depends.” He whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
This really was a new side of Kai you hadn’t seen before. He was careful. Caring. Gentle. Attentive.
“There we go, you’re loosening up, feel it?” He thrust into you a bit more and you gasped. It still hurt a bit, but there was something else too. A tingling sensation, a pleasurable buzz. It felt good.
Kai began to find a steady rhythm. In and out, in and out, in and out. Over and over and over. Each time he thrust full into you, his pelvis brushed against your clit, and it felt so so good. His cock didn’t feel magical, it just made you feel very very full. It was an interesting feeling that would surely take some getting used to to truly enjoy.
Kai was beginning to fall apart above you, you could tell. His face was scrunched up, his hips were beginning to falter, and he was letting out groans and moans left and right.
“Fuck, that’s it, so good baby girl, being so good for your divine ruler. Bet you’d do anything I asked, huh?” Jesus, he talked a lot. He never shut up it seemed, but you found yourself not minding.
His hand reached down between the two of you and a look of confusion crossed your face before you realized what he was doing. The pleasure suddenly felt 10x stronger as his thumb circled your clit, applying just the right amount of pleasure to get you trembling.
“I feel- I- I feel-“ you stuttered, unable to exactly describe it. You felt like you were going to orgasm, but with Kai inside of you it felt… different. Stronger in a way.
Your pussy began to clench around his length, the slick squelching sounds filling the room along with Kai’s pants and mumbles under his breath.
You didn’t even see it coming. Didn’t have time to brace yourself before your orgasm was crashing over you like a tsunami. Wave after wave. You felt like you were drowning. It was hard to breathe. You’d never felt such pleasure in your life.
As you came down from your high, you were briefly aware of Kai’s final, loud moan before he stilled inside of you, filling you up with his warm seed. It felt so nice that you almost forgot that he hadn’t worn a condom and had just come inside of you…
“Kai you just-“
“I know. And if this goes according to my plan, you will be the mother to my messiah baby.” You were so hazy that you barely processed his words. You just nodded, relaxing into the bed. You’d clean up later. You were too tired to get up and even if you found the strength, you figured your legs would give out on you.
You’d surely be sore in the morning, and maybe even… pregnant? But you guess it had all been worth it, getting to have your virginity taken by your very own divine ruler.

Hair- Mizu x fem! reader
Tumblr media
Tags: Fluff, mild angst? (Again idk how to tag guys, somebody who does know please tell me that would be amazing <3), gender reveal (reader discovers Mizu is a woman), mentions injury and violence, maybe a slow burn? (might make into a series)
Notes: in 2nd person (you), 995 words, Mizu x fem! reader
Context: you and Mizu are friends with romantic tension, also it’s a bit awkward between you two after you find out she’s a woman
A/N: Hello there. Fanfiction. Read it. Hope you enjoy. I’m going to get back to doing school work now. Or I’ll procrastinate and make a part 2.
Also this is inspired by a scene that was cut from the show where Mizu plays with her hair.
Toodles, love Yamz x
Mizu huffed, frustrated as she tried to tie up her hair. It was normally a simple task, however, on this morning it was not.
In a scuffle with some assassins, Mizu had hurt her arm quite badly. Although it was the day after the battle, the pain still lingered. Pain was not the only thing that lingered, but an awkward air. After yesterday’s battle, you treated Mizu’s injured arm, finding out that Mizu was not the man you thought she was.
She was a woman.
The image of your shocked face when you pulled down her haori lingered in her mind, like a reflection in a window pane.
The two of you sat on the floor of the inn, with a noticeable gap, getting ready for the day. Her annoyed huff brought you to look up from the mirror you were holding. You turned to her chuckling softly, “You alright over there?”
She shot you a small glare. “I’m fine.” She attempted to tie her hair up again but the strands cascaded out of her grasp. Her arm fell to her side, she sighed a little defeated.
You crawled behind her, propping yourself up on your knees. Taking the hair tie from her hand, you began gathering her hair together.
Mizu hesitated before uttering, “What are you doing?”
“Shaving your hair off.” you casually remarked as you brushed the knots out of her long hair with your fingers.
Mizu jerked her head back to face you, grabbing your wrist.
“I’m joking! I’m tying up your hair, obviously.” you laughed.
Mizu’s lips curled to a frown, her grip loosening.
“Just let me help you out.” She let you move her head so she faced away from you. You shuffled a little closer to her, her back up against your front as you continued brushing through her hair.
Mizu relaxed a little as your fingers softly graced her. She thought of how gentle you were with her. Something she wasn’t used to.
Her usual contact with people tended to be violent to say the least.
Mizu thought of a time before she had to shave her hair as a child. How her mother would tug and pull at her hair, telling her to sit still.
Your touch was nothing like her mothers.
You were careful and soft, touching her as if she was silk.
Mizu closed her eyes with a small sigh of relief as you gathered all her hair into one hand, using your other to smooth out any bumps.
“Sorry I don’t have a comb. I think I lost it in the heat of things yesterday. Hands are nature's comb anyway.”
Mizu hummed in response, melting under the way your hands moved through her hair.
“All done.” You pick up the mirror, holding it so Mizu could see your handy work.
She opened her eyes, catching yours in the reflection.
“Not bad right?” You smiled at her through the mirror.
Mizu smiled back, “not bad. You didn’t shave it off.”
“Don’t give me ideas.” You tried to brush her cowlick behind her ear but it failed to stick.
Turning around, she chuckled. The two of you became face to face “for every strand of hair you cut, is a finger lost on your hands.”
You felt the heat of her words touch your face, eyes widening slightly at your closeness . You sit back on your feet, creating a bit more distance between the two of you. “Well I guess my fingers are safe.”
“For now.” Mizu smirked.
You crossed your arms, hiding your hands away from her. You playfully glare at her which she returns before the two of you start laughing.
After the laughter subsides, Mizu gazes at you with soft eyes. “Thanks…Uh for helping me with my hair.”
“Don’t worry about it. I’m happy to help.”
“I won’t be like this for long.” She adjusted the sleeve of her haori.
“I know. You always spring back quickly. By the end of the day you’ll probably be fighting the whole town with no problem. And even if you’re not, and you still need my help, I’ll do your hair.”
Mizu smiles again, bowing her head slightly. “Thank you.” She paused thoughtfully, her gaze lowering to the floor.
Noticing the slight shift in mood, you offered a kind smile. “Everything okay?”
“It’s nothing.” Her eyes flickered to yours.
“There’s always something.”
“It’s just… I don’t understand.” She looked down at her hands.
“What is it you don’t understand?”
“How can you be so normal? You know my secret. I’ve been deceiving you for so long… How can you act like it’s okay?” Her blue eyes gazed into yours with worry.
“Because it is okay.”
“But I lied to you. I am not a man.”
You took a breath, one which felt like an eternity to Mizu. “Listen, I understand why hide the truth from everyone. It’s easier to walk as a man in our world than it is to crawl as a woman, and it’s easier to keep a secret if you’re the only one who knows it.”
“Well… Ringo knew.”
“What?!” You exclaimed. Mizu winced slightly.
After a brief pause you continued, “That’s… fine. A-anyway, my point still stands. I’m not angry or upset with you because I get it.”
Mizu stayed quiet, reflecting on your words. After a moment, she speaks. “You are very kind to me… I’m not sure if I am deserving of it.”
“Well, I give my kindness to whomever I want so whether you think you deserve it is not for you to decide.” You crossed your arms. “I think you are deserving of my kindness and compassion, and you’re not the boss of me so, nyeh.” Your serious facade couldn’t stay up as you began smiling.
Mizu chuckles, putting her hands up in defeat. “OK, OK, I won’t talk more about it.”
“So we’re OK?” You asked carefully but with a smile gracing your lips.
“We’re good.”
“Good.”

Aaron liked to have control over most things. Even in things he couldn’t or perhaps shouldn’t control, he still tried to. This could include running on an injured ankle, or going out even though he knew it was too hot for his liking in an outfit that didn’t suit the heat. Half of this had to do with the fact that he could be stubborn, and the other half was a bit darker. The times that he went over these limits had often to do with his ability to endure. He knew a good deal about endurance from his work as a prosecutor, the leader of the BAU, and most impactful to him, from his childhood. His father had often reminded him that he wasn’t strong or a man with his fists, or a belt, or bottle, or anything Mr. Hotchner senior could get a hold on, and Aaron had endured it. He’d lived beyond it. Even with that being the case, and him trying to work through his questions about inadequacy, he still pushed himself too hard sometimes. It was a sort of naturally ingrained response unless he caught it early on.
y/n had noticed this trait in him and had brought it up a few times when they were more stable in their relationship. It hadn’t exactly been an easy topic, as y/n wasn’t sure why Aaron, who cared about his health and ability to perform in the field would seem to hurt himself by doing something reckless by his standards. One afternoon, when he’d limped toward her, y/n tilted her head and said, “Hey, how was your run?” y/n had stayed behind to play with Jack on the swings and playground while Aaron got in his long Saturday run. He and y/n would normally go early, but they had both slept through their alarm due to a long case earlier that week, a swamp of paperwork when they got back and some mandatory training on Friday. All in all, it had been too long a week for anyone to like, and they needed the rest. Thus, the plans for the day had been postponed.
Aaron wiped a hand over his face and then over his shirt. y/n looked at Jack who was now on the slide and then back to Hotch. y/n noticed how he was favoring one foot. She knew his gait better than anyone and it was easy to tell that something was up. Aaron could see it in y/n’s face -- the concern. He tried to brush it off by saying, “It was fine. My time was slower than normal, but I’d say that it was because I was so tired.” What Aaron had said was a lie. His ankle had started to hurt about halfway through his run, but he’d ignored it and pressed on anyway. By the time he’d gotten to the last mile, his right ankle was throbbing in pain. He’d fixed his expression to the best of his ability when he rounded the bend where he’d see y/n. He didn’t want her to be concerned.  His faking a normal expression and lying didn’t stop y/n from seeing that something was wrong. y/n was about to ask him to clarify because she didn’t have to tell him that he was lying to see that something was wrong. However, Jack came and hugged the back of her legs, looked up at his dad, and said, “Hi Daddy!” Aaron smiled and replied, “Hey Buddy. Did you have fun on the playground?” Jack nodded his head enthusiastically and said, “Mh hm, I made new friends.” This fact warmed Hotch’s heart. Jack could struggle sometimes in meeting new people. Aaron said, “That’s great, Jack. Now I hear that it’s going to get hot in a few minutes, so how about we head home?” Jack and y/n nodded, and y/n watched as Jack scrambled into his dad’s arms. Again she noticed the brief flash of pain on his face as they moved to the car.
y/n waited until they got to Aaron’s apartment and Jack was tucked in for a nap that y/n moved to Hotch’s bedroom to ask him what was up. She didn’t hope this ended in an argument, but it seemed like this was something he was keeping from her and Aaron could be so closed off about his personal life sometimes. But if he was hurting, y/n wanted to know about it. She moved into Hotch’s bedroom where he was taking off his shirt and getting ready for a shower. y/n stood in front of him as he was sitting on the bed and leaning down to take off his socks as y/n said, “Aaron, what’s going on? You looked like you were hurting back there in the park. Also when you picked up Jack.”
Aaron tried one last attempt to avoid this conversation as he said, “Well, my ankle is acting up a bit, but I’m sure it will be fine.” y/n blocked him from standing and took both of his large hands in hers. His fingers were calloused in the same places as hers from holding a gun or a pen in a grip that was probably too tight from stress. It was comforting to feel the thickness of his skin mirrored in her palm. y/n looked down at him and said, “Aaron please be honest with me?” Hotch looked down at their entwined hands and then back up at y/n. He didn’t like lying. So much of their relationship had been built on trust. They’d gotten together a few months after Haley had called their marriage quits. If Aaron was being honest, he’d loved y/n for a while before his union with Haley dissolved. But Hotch was a man who believed in his commitment to his wife and he’d never done or said anything to y/n, his newest agent, until long after he had his wife split. He loved Haley dearly and he’d never hurt her by cheating. And y/n loved Aaron and his commitment too, so they were willing to give up any hope with a man she had slowly come to admire more than just a boss, fellow agent, or friend. y/n fully holding herself back had been one of the reasons Hotch had liked her so much. He’d seen women fling themselves at him while he was fully with Haley. Before their relationship got rocky. Even when Haley was pregnant with Jack women had tried to woo him. But never y/n. Even when she knew that he and Haley were struggling she never made a move. She had distanced herself more from him. Had supported him and let things play out to their natural conclusion.
As Aaron thought about the kinds of sacrifice y/n had made for him, he squeezed her hand and said, “My right ankle is hurting me pretty badly actually. It started in the middle of the run. I think it’s from when I had to dodge that bullet in the last case. I tweaked it a bit then, but it didn’t hurt much so I ignored it. But today on my run it really started acting up.” As soon as y/n heard this, she dropped to her knees next to the bed and gently pulled off his right sock. She didn’t care about how the sock or his feet smelled. If Aaron was in pain, y/n needed to make sure he was okay. By the look of his swollen and slightly bruised ankle, it didn’t look great. y/n gently caressed the spot on his foot and Aaron flinched instinctually even though y/n hadn’t hurt him. She looked up at his dark brown eyes and asked, “Sweetheart why did you keep running on this? It must have hurt you. You could have called me and I would have brought Jack and helped you?” y/n had never seen Aaron hurt or allow himself to be hurt like this. Sure, she’d seen him overwork himself, but this was different, this was physical more than mental.” Aaron bit the inside of his cheek before putting his arm under y/n’s arm and guiding her to sit beside him.
Once she was seated next to him and looking at him with the same concern, he heaved a small sigh before saying, “I felt like I had to I guess. Sometimes I get that way.” y/n tried to understand why he’d feel that way and said, “Why, you’re hurting yourself. I wouldn’t see you as weak if you needed a break. You’re the strongest man I know. You don’t have to prove that to anyone.” Hotch closed his eyes and leaned his head into the crook of her shoulder smelling the slightly floral scent of her perfume. He didn’t want to be seen as he replied, “It’s not about proving it to anyone else, it’s about proving it to me. My… my father always said I was weak. He tried to break me and he never did, but sometimes I can’t push those thoughts out of my head. I know it’s juvenile to explain it like that, it was so long ago, but it still happens sometimes.” y/n turned to him, wrapped him in a tight hug, and stayed there for a minute to let the words sit around them. To give them the time they deserved. y/n pulled away and looked at Aaron saying, “It’s not dumb and it makes sense. Your father treated you horribly, so it makes sense that that would stick with you. I just don’t want you to hurt yourself. I want you to know that you are good enough. I’ll keep telling you that until you believe it.” Aaron nodded slightly and gave y/n a soft smile. He should have known that y/n would understand him. It wasn’t easy for him to have these conversations. To open up. He knew he was lucky to have y/n in his life who knew him so well and could tell that he needed some help sometimes in dealing with his thought process.
y/n stood up and said, “Now, we can talk more about this later, but I want you to stay right there, No moving around and no shower. Just hang tight.” Aaron smiled and said, “Yes ma’am.” y/n chuckled at his tone but got up and moved first to the hallway where they kept a basin to clean Jack’s shoes in when they got muddy at school. y/n then got a glass of water and added ice before turning the tap to hot. Once the temperature was warm, but not scalding, she filled the basin. y/n then grabbed some Epsom salt from under the sink and added a fourth of a cup to the warm water; she stirred it with her hand until the salt began to dissolve. When y/n was happy with the mix, she carried the basin with two hands into the bedroom and carefully set it down on the carpet without spilling any of the liquid inside. She moved Aaron’s injured foot into the water and as soon as his ankle was submerged, he sighed with how good it felt. The sound made a rush of warmth rush through y/n, but she ignored it. Instead, she moved back to the kitchen and grabbed the cup of water and then some pain meds from the bathroom. She handed both items to Hotch and he took them with a smile and said, “Thank you sweetheart. How do you always know what I need?” y/n smiled and moved behind him on the bed gently messaging his neck and shoulders. He leaned back into her touch with another little groan and y/n felt that same rush again. At this point, she wondered if he was messing with her. For now, she just kept relaxing his stiff muscles and said, “I think I learned from the best because you take such good care of me. I think today I get to return the favor.”
Aaron and y/n didn’t speak much more about what he had said, but they both knew it was going to be a conversation they would have again soon. Instead, y/n just made him relax and stay off his feet for the rest of the day. She took care of Jack and dropped him off at Haley’s while Aaron slept. Even though y/n and Hotch had been dating for a good while, and they were very committed, two things hadn’t yet changed in their relationship. The first was that y/n and Aaron still hadn’t moved in together yet. They both found comfort in having their own space for themselves. It was good that after a case they had a place to relax and unwind alone if they needed it. There was a comfort for them in space, though y/n mostly spent her time at Aaron’s
apartment. The second constant, which was harder to maintain, was that the team didn’t know they were seeing each other. There had been multiple times that members of the team had almost caught them, but shockingly it hadn’t happened yet. Aaron assumed that Dave knew and Hotch had spoken to y/n about it, and she said it was fine. If Rossi brought it up, then Aaron could tell him. There wasn’t a reason to directly lie to the team, they just hadn’t explicitly made it a point to tell them either. At the start, they had kept it a secret to protect themselves. It might not have been strictly against the rules of the FBI employee handbook, but at the same time, it was easier to just keep it to themselves. By the time that y/n and Aaron had become fully committed, they had just gotten used to having it be between themselves. It felt like something they could have outside of work, even though work did come into it often. Keeping it a secret worked for both of their personalities. For Aaron who was a rule follower, it just made sense, and for y/n, who was a bit shy about her personal life, it allowed her to not have to have ten thousand conversations that could be intimate with the team. However, that would all change a month or so later.
It was early spring and the weather had changed to the warmer side instead of the cold Virginia often saw into late February or March. When Aaron woke at his normal 5:00 a.m. He felt a bit colder than normal as he got out from under the duvet. He assumed that it was because it was one of the rare nights when y/n was over at her apartment and not in bed with him. He also felt a bit foggy as he got up, brushed his teeth, and shaved. He didn’t think much of this either as he made his coffee and then headed to the office like he usually did when a case didn’t take the team away from Quantico. Aaron and y/n usually ended up getting to the office an hour early so they could have some time to themselves in the morning. They used to spend that time in the evenings after five, but as they continued to attempt it early in their relationship, it turned out that the team was much more likely to stay late in the office to finish up work than come in early. The only people who sometimes saw Aaron and y/n come in together or even enter Aaron’s office together were the janitors and now and then, Dave. They didn’t do anything inappropriate in the office, just work or talk on his couch. Hotch didn’t allow for hardly any outward signs of their relationship at work. However, he was looking forward to seeing y/n. It always seemed to set them up for a good day.
When Aaron arrived at the office, he felt that same chill run through him and his head started to ache a bit. He felt hot under the collar and as he got up the stairs and to his office, he just now considered that he might be sick. He hadn’t been sick yet that year but it happened to him at least once annually. He hadn’t expected it to be in March. And because he hadn’t expected it, he chose to believe it must be something else like his allergies kicking in. He’d arrived early even for his standards, and he sat down and pulled out his briefcase and laptop. After he did this, he realized that he wasn’t feeling that good and he moved to his couch to just close his eyes for a minute to try and collect himself for the day ahead. Aaron was startled awake at the sound of tapping on his door. He sat up and the room spun in front of his eyes. The lamp by his desk particularly blurred his vision as he stumbled to the door. He felt hot all over and as he stood, a few beads of sweat moved down his back making him shiver. He hadn’t realized that he’d fallen asleep and was surprised to see y/n outside his door. He felt disoriented and said, “y/n? What are you doing here?”
y/n looked at him concerned and said, “I’m here to hang out before work like we always do. Sorry I’m late, something came up at the apartment and I had to deal with it. Are you okay sweetheart?” y/n observed Aaron with a careful eye. He looked flushed and his eyes seemed slightly glazed over. He was also perspiring even though he must have had his office thermostat down to its lowest setting. Hotch nodded and said, “Yeah just a little tired I guess.” He stepped farther back and couldn’t believe he’d forgotten about the fact that y/n was coming early. y/n slipped past him into the dim office. She was only a few inches away from his body when she noticed just how warm he felt, even from a distance. Once Aaron had closed the door with a soft click, y/n turned to face Hotch and placed a hand on his forehead. She could feel him burning up and was sure he was running a fever. She led him back to his couch and he sat down with a little grunt as y/n took his hand and said, “Aaron, you’re so warm. You can’t be feeling good right  now.” Hotch tipped his head back and half closed his eyes and in his normal, stubborn fashion replied, “I’ll be fine y/n. It’s just allergies or something. If I drink some cool water and just sit for a minute I can make it through the day.” y/n frowned at him and his antics before saying, “Aaron, you run warm, but you don’t run that warm. Also, your shirt is sticking to your chest because you’re sweating from the heat, so unless you’re planning on staying cooped up in your office all day, everyone else is going to know how you feel too.”
Hotch groaned as he realized that his body was giving away with how bad he was currently feeling. His headache was back and he was longing for y/n to put her cool hand on his head again. y/n could see the look of defeat on his face. Ever since they’d had the conversation about his ankle and subsequent discussion about Aaron’s need for care just like everyone else, he’d started asking her for more help when he needed it. Today was another reminder that he could still feel the need to perform, even when he was sick, but that it was okay that he treated himself well too. That he wasn’t letting anyone down by needing some rest. y/n moved over to his desk and started neatly packing his things back into his briefcase and bag. By the time y/n was working on gathering his belongings, he was back on the cool couch and his heavy eyes were closed again. y/n pulled his suit jacket and tie up from the floor, it was the last thing she needed of his. y/n was grateful that she had brought all of her things up to his office. That meant that they could go straight to the car. When y/n had all of their things by the door, she moved back to the couch, gently touched Aaron’s shoulder, and said, “Aaron, can you get up? I’m gonna drive you home.” Hotch grumbled something that sounded like, “Just five more minutes,” and y/n huffed at how this sickness was making him feel. With a firm voice, y/n said, “Not five more minutes. If we play that game we’ll be here all day and then you’ll try and do work again or something. Now stand up for me.”
Hotch gave a slight groan but slid his feet to the floor and pushed his body off of the couch. y/n could see a sweat stain where his back had been and hustled him out the door before he could see it and made a fuss about germs or something else to keep him in the office. y/n was sure she looked funny with her bag and purse, plus Hotch’s suitcase along with her boss leaning into her slightly as she wrapped an arm around his back to take him down the short flight of stairs and toward the elevator. Again y/n was grateful that Aaron was slightly out of it as Rossi exited the elevator bank on his and Aaron’s floor. The older man looked over at y/n and mouthed, “What’s wrong with him?” y/n mouthed back, “He’s sick and throwing a fit. He wants to stay.” Dave nodded, rolled his eyes, and pulled out his phone, indicating that she should check it when she was free. y/n nodded and kept moving Aaron toward the exit.
The pair just missed the entrance of Emily, Derek, and Spencer which was a stroke of luck. y/n helped Hotch into the passenger seat of her car and dropped all of their things in the back then y/n slid into the driver's side and started the engine. Aaron had perked up once he was outside and he looked over to y/n and said, “Listen, sweetheart, I can drive myself. Really, I’ll be okay if I just get an hour or two of sleep.” y/n threw him a warm smile while looking up from her phone and said, “Aaron. Somehow I feel like if I’m not there watching you, you’re going to be working or trying to be productive. Now, to avoid that and you being sick for longer, which I know you hate, I’m going to take you home and watch after you. You’re running quite the temp and I want to take care of you, remember.” Aaron turned to y/n and smiled at her. He remembered in a hazy kind of way how much y/n cared for him in times when he could be stubborn and try and push himself. He’d ended up being much kinder to himself in the last month thanks to y/n’s care. That didn’t mean he didn’t still fall into his old habits, like today, but he had y/n to look out for his best interests, even if he didn’t always want to admit that in the moment. y/n heard her phone ping and she pulled it out of her exterior purse pocket. It was a message from Rossi that simply stated, “Take care of him. I’ll let an admin know that Aaron’s out with a cold - Dave.” y/n chuckled at how old school Rossi could be by signing his texts with his name like his contact wasn’t in her phone already. He was being helpful,  however, by telling Patricia in admin about Hotch’s absence for the day. That ensured that she didn’t have to go into his computer and file a report for him explaining why he’d be out of the office today. From the way Hotch was lightly snoring in the seat next to her, y/n highly doubted he’d have the energy to request time off when he got home, and even if y/n had picked up on Aaron’s password for his state-sanctioned computer, it would be a high-level breach of protocol on her part to go anywhere near the device. y/n could only imagine the intel on the computer in Hotch’s briefcase behind her, and in some ways was happy not to have such a burden of knowledge on her shoulders.
The pair made it to Hotch’s apartment in good time despite the morning rush into town. y/n grabbed all of their things first and moved them inside Aaron’s first-floor apartment. If he was in his full faculties she knew he’d throw her a stern look and go back for their work things first and give some comment about the safety of sensitive information if she tried to get him inside first. He would be correct of course, but it was always funny that Aaron’s mannerisms had started to rub off on her with time. y/n wasn’t complaining. It made her a better and safer agent. She was surprised that the team hadn’t picked up on it yet though. After y/n dropped their things off inside the door, then turned to go back to Aaron. Hotch had woken from his light sleep when y/n gently closed her door. He had gotten out of the car and was walking down the sidewalk. His muscles were slightly achy as they always did when he got sick. He lifted his arms above his head and y/n flushed as his shirt revealed a small stripe of his tummy. The trail of hair that led from his belly button down to his nether regions was on clear display. It looked pressed down from his shirt and the sweat on his body and the sight had y/n sigh. She wished more than anything to just have it be the weekend and be laying next to Aaron with her hand under his sleeping shirt trailing her fingers through that strip of hair from his belly button and lower. Aaron noticed y/n freeze and he lowered his arms. He still wasn’t feeling good at all but couldn’t help but say as he stepped next to her, “Now looks who looks like they’re warm?” Hotch watched as the blush only worsened on y/n’s face and she said, “Ha ha. Now let’s get you inside and in bed, Sir.” That comment had Aaron’s eye widen and he sighed, putting his warm hand on y/n’s back leading them to the door.
Once inside, y/n took the lead and took Aaron’s hand in hers, a classic gesture that they had become accustomed to in either of their homes. At the beginning of the relationship, Aaron was so used to not touching in the office or on the plane that he would take his hand away out of instinct. But over time he got used to the feeling of their hands conjoined. After a long case or a hard or boring day in the office which was most of them. Aaron could hardly wait to feel the comfort and grounding presence of y/n’s hand in his. They would hold hands whenever possible at home, even if it was impractical. y/n took him into his room and Hotch sat on the cool bed. y/n moved her hand to his shirt and started to unbutton it for him as he unbuckled his belt and pulled it out of the loops of his pants. This was the kind of soft intimacy that Aaron loved with y/n. She stripped his shirt from his body which was sticking to his skin slightly. When this was done, Aaron stood and slipped out of his pants. Now that he was home and he was in his room, the bed called him and he pulled the covers aside and dipped down to the cool mattress letting out a sigh of relief. He closed his eyes just as y/n leaned down, picked up his clothes, and moved to the laundry hamper to put them there. She then moved into the bathroom and grabbed a few towels. Two she dampened with cool water and wrung out and the last she kept dry. y/n moved back to the bedroom and sat on the side of the bed. Aaron was shivering slightly and y/n assumed it was because of his sweat cooling him off. He usually kept it pretty cold in his apartment. y/n gently pulled the covers off of him and used the dry towel to wipe off his sweat. Hotch didn’t open his eyes as y/n did this. He was so comfortable around her. He used to feel like he needed to look a certain way and act a certain way even outside of the office like with holding hands, but now he could do or act anyway around her, and she could do the same. Aaron’s eyes fluttered open when y/n placed the cool towels on his forehead and chest. y/n smiled at his half-lidded gaze and brushed his hair back with her hands and he murmured, “Thanks sweetheart.” y/ns smiled and said, “Of course love, now just rest.”
Once Aaron fell back to sleep, y/n got up and went back into the main room. She pulled out her laptop and sent in a request for a day off citing personal reasons as the cause. This wasn’t wholly a lie as taking care of Hotch was a personal reason to stay home for the day. y/n didn’t think about texting the team as she noticed some dishes in the sink and as she passed Jack’s room it seemed like it could use some picking up. y/n worked on the dishes first and then moved to the toys over the floor and bed of Jack’s bedroom. y/n knew that doing these small tasks would take a load off of Aaron’s shoulders later. These chores took about an hour and as y/n was walking out of Jack’s room, she got a call from Emily. y/n answered her phone and said, “Hey Em. How’s everything at the office?” Emily replied, “Well quiet for starters. You and Aaron are both out today. Apparently Hotch has a cold or something? Did you catch it too?” y/n thought quickly and pretended to not know that Aaron was sick and said, “Aaron is sick? Has that ever happened before? I swear he’s always in the office.” y/n heard Emily chuckle on the other end of the line and said, “Tell me about it. But anyway, what’s you’re excuse?” y/n through of a lie and said, “House problems. That drip in my ceiling from the workman redoing the unit upstairs turned into a river. I’ve been on the phone with maintenance and insurance for the last two hours.” There was a brief pause and Prentiss said, “Damn. Listen y/n, you’ve gotta get out of that place.” y/n laughed. She was happy to hear Emily and didn’t notice as Aaron moved out of his room. He’d taken Asperin which y/n had left on the table for him if he felt like he needed them. He was still very tired as he moved behind y/n with an empty glass and asked loudly enough for Em to hear Hotch ask, “Who’s on the phone, sweetheart?”
There was a heavy pause on the other end of the line before Emily said, “y/n, are you with Aaron. Did… did he just call you…” y/n quickly said, “Hey, gotta go Em. I’ll talk to you later” before quickly hanging up the phone. y/n turned to look at Aaron and his face took on a sheepish look as he asked, “I take it that was a member of the team?” y/n silently nodded before bursting out into a laugh and saying, “Aaron, how have we kept this a secret for so long and you’re the one who goes and says something about it? On the phone nonetheless?” Hotch couldn’t help but chuckle too as he placed his head in the crook of y/n’s neck. He inhaled her scent and said, “Can you blame me? I’m sick after all.” y/n scoffed; she could still feel the heat radiating off of him, and if he wasn’t so warm to the touch, she might have thought that he was doing this all to get them alone and out of the office. But Aaron would never do that. He was a great partner but also a workhorse and a dedicated employee. Aaron simply did not miss work, which was why y/n had to pressure and make sure he got home and rested. He’d be itching to get back to the office by tomorrow but he’d be out for longer if he overdid it now.  y/n would have to think about his response about the team finding about them. She’d also need to think about her reaction, though y/n was sure most of that would depend on how the team responded. For now, y/n turned to Hotch and asked, “What are you doing up out of bed? You’re supposed to be resting.” Aaron stood back and replied, “Just getting some ice and another glass of water.” y/n smiled at him and said, “Okay, I’ll grab it for you. Now, you go lie down. I’ll be right there with some cold water.” Hotch nodded and walked back to his room. y/n moved toward the kitchen with a smile on her face. She wasn’t happy that Aaron was sick, just that he was so willing to let her help him. He was used to the notion that he needed to take care of everything himself, so letting her help him in these small ways was a big deal to y/n.
While y/n and Aaron were talking after y/n had hung up on Emily abruptly, Emily was standing in the center of the bullpen near her desk with her mouth slightly ajar and eyes wide with shock. Prentiss wasn’t even sure how to process what she had just heard on the phone. Em didn’t stay that way for long as Morgan came back from grabbing a cup of coffee and noticed her stunned state. Derek moved forward and said jokingly, “Well this is a rare sight. What’s got you all tongue-tied?” Emily gained her composure and said, “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you?” Now Morgan’s interest was piqued and he raised an eyebrow stating, “Alright, try me, girlfriend.” Emily rolled her eyes at his nickname and said, “Well you know how Hotch is out sick today?” Derek nodded and Em continued, “Well I was just on the phone with y/n who is also missing…” Derek’s eyes widened as his brain connected the dots and he froze also. All the strong agent could say was, “No way,” Em nodded and said, “Well unless I have Hotch’s voice very wrong he just said ‘who’s on the phone sweetheart,’ to y/n.” Emily watched as Morgan’s eyes danced around for a second before he shook his head. Derek finally said, “Are you sure? What did y/n say?” At this point, Prentiss was smiling with the idea that y/n was seeing Aaron, just for the scandal of it all. She responded, “Not much. She said something came up, and she’d call me later, and then she hung up. If that’s not her trying to hide something then I don’t know what is.” Morgan let out a whistle and said, “Do you think she’s at his place or is he at hers?” That had Emily roll her eyes and say, “Well I’m not going to speculate about that right now. What I am going to do is go tell JJ about this. She will freak out.” Morgan agreed and said, “Do you think Rossi knows.” Prentiss replied, “Well we might just be freaking out. It could be something else you know. I might be reading into this.” Derek leveled a glare at her and Emily laughed, “Alright, you’re right. Listen, we can ask them tomorrow. Now, let me get to JJ and Garcia.” Derek let Emily past him.
Once Prentiss was gone, he crossed his arms over his chest. He considered that Aaron was dating y/n and took the concept a bit more seriously than Emily. He wanted to make sure everything was okay with that. Not only for Hotch and y/n but for the team. He knew from his time as a beat cop that interdepartmental relationships could get messy if and when things ended. The team had worked well in taking y/n into the fold and he didn’t want to see that ruined for a romance that was technically against the rules. Apart from the team dynamic, Derek was scared for Aaron who had been under some heat from the director. But his concern was more for y/n who was new. If she got caught up in something she could easily be transferred to a small department in West Texas somewhere where prostitution, cattle, and oil are the only things there. Morgan closed his eyes and took a breath and tried to put things in perspective. When he opened his eyes Rossi was looking down at him with a knowing look. The older profiler had heard Emily and JJ’s excited conversation in the next room over. Morgan just rolled his eyes. There was nothing for him to do now, so he went back to his desk and got back to work.
The rest of the day passed uneventfully for the team and y/n and Aaron. At 3:30 y/n went and picked up Jack and they had dinner in the kitchen while Hotch stayed as far away from them as he could while still keeping up some conversation. Jack was excited about the school play of Peter Pan that was coming up and y/n encouraged him in all things. Aaron couldn’t help but smile as he watched y/n and his son talk animately about what the play would entail. y/n opted to spend the night at Aaron’s the evening just in case he needed anything or his fever got way worse. That would also ensure that she could drop Jack off at school before heading to the office. That evening after Jack was in bed y/n attempted to climb in with Aaron but he sat up and said, “y/n if I’m sick and you sleep with me, then I’m going to get you sick sweetheart, and I promise you don’t want to feel like this.” y/n gave him a small pouty face. Although he looked much better than this morning he was still flushed and warm and he did look tired. y/n didn’t want him to worry about her, so she kissed his forehead, got him another towel for him to place on his face, and moved to the couch in the living room. She pulled a pillow and blanket from the closest and settled in for the night. y/n quickly fell asleep not aware of what was coming tomorrow at the office. The fact that Emily had heard what she heard had slipped out of her head as she had spent the rest of the day taking care of Aaron and Jack along with filling out some forms at Hotch’s desk in his home office.
The next morning came with soft daylight drifting into the living room where y/n was lying. She was woken by Aaron who ran his hand down her face and gently shook her shoulder. y/n smiled at him and noticed he was in his slacks and another white shirt. She stretched out her arms and legs and asked, “What time is it?” Hotch placed his hand on her shoulder and leaned down kissing her before saying, “6:25.” y/n hummed in response. She could feel that he was no longer warm. She could also smell his shaving cream which meant he’d gotten up early and got ready so she’d have time to use the shower and bathroom. y/n sat up and could also smell coffee. y/n leaned into Aaron and kissed him a bit more fervently, winding her hands into his short hair. When they pulled away he was flushed again and she ran a hand down his strong jaw as she moved to his bathroom. As y/n took a cool shower to wake herself up for the day, she considered just how kind Aaron was to her. The kindness she showed him he showered back on her in equal measure, if not more. Not on the field or in the office of course. There was never any favoritism, but outside of work they were there for each other and it felt so nice to have someone to fall back on on the hard days and someone to celebrate the good ones with.
y/n realized that her plan to drop Jack off was infeasible as Hotch had left his car in the Quantico lot yesterday as she drove him home. That meant that they both dropped Jack off and went to work together. This was a fact that wasn’t missed by Spencer or JJ who arrived at the office at the same time as them. Aaron moved up to his office like normal to see all that he’d missed while he was gone yesterday. y/n had asked him if it was a good idea for him to go back to work if he was possibly still sick, but he really felt like what he had yesterday was a twenty-four-hour bug, so y/n didn’t try and stop him. He mostly likely had a say in the sick day policy and y/n knew that she’d come in feeling lousy before, so to not be a hypocrite, she didn’t say much, just that she’d be looking out for him in case he started looking bad again. While Aaron went up to his office, y/n moved to her desk and she could feel a strange atmosphere in the air. There was a kind of excitement that she hadn’t expected coming back to the bullpen. Emily and Spencer seemed to look at her differently as she waved at them and said, “Good morning! I missed y’all yesterday. Did I miss anything good?” Spencer chuckled and said, “Oh yeah, you did. I’m sure Em will tell you about it later.” y/n smiled, she loved drama, but she didn’t realize that she was at the center of this one. She moved to her desk and wrapped up the last file she had been working on at Aaron’s yesterday. When she was finished with that, she moved to the staff room to refresh her coffee. y/n heard Emily and JJ come in behind her laughing and y/n turned around and said, “Hey, JJ, Em. Spence said that I missed some drama yesterday. Who was it? Is it Janet and Brandon again?” y/n sounded so excited and the two other agents in the room looked at each other and burst out laughing. y/n tilted her head and said, “Wait. What’s so funny? What’s going on you two?” The slight exasperation in y/n’s voice had Emily laugh even more and then the brunette replied, “Well does, ‘who’s on the phone sweetheart’ sound familiar?”
Once the words were out of Prentiss’s mouth y/n flushed deeply. y/n stammered a bit and that had JJ laugh and say, “I knew it! How long have you and Hotch been together?” Emily leaned against the counter and said, “Please, y/n. Spill the beans.” y/n had to let out a nervous chuckle and couldn’t believe that she had forgotten this was coming. y/n looked at her hands for a second and then back at her friends softly saying, “Almost a year now. We started considering ourselves official last April.” y/n’s statement had her two friends fall silent. Emily looked at y/n with surprise. Prentiss had expected it to be a few months, maybe four or five, but nearly a year was not what she’d assumed. JJ echoed the surprise and said, “That long? Where you planning on telling us?” y/n looked at their disappointed faces that had shifted from mirth to confusion and potentially hurt so quickly. y/n gave a small sigh and said honestly, “I never meant to keep it secret for so long. I don’t want to hide things from you guys.” Emily responded, “Well this was going on for a pretty long while y/n,” y/n nodded and replied, “I know. I know it has. When we started dating it was pretty soon after Haley. Aaron and I were good with it. But we didn’t want drama or blowback from everyone else. Not the team but the other departments. So we decided to just keep it between us for a while. And then I guess we just kind of fell into that pattern. It was nice. It was nice to have something just for us. I love you both. I love the whole team, but we know each other so well and so intimately. This gave us a place to just be us. But you and the whole team have supported me and Aaron so well. Always. And if you’re willing to support us in this too we’d be so happy. I can’t believe it took me so long to say something. I have so much to tell you both about us.”
Once y/n used Hotch’s first name in that tone, with such care and softness, JJ and Emily softened immediately. They hadn’t seen her look or sound that way before. As y/n spoke her words resonated and Emily stepped forward and asked, “Does he make you happy? That’s what’s most important to me. Because I’m sure you make him happy. He’s a lucky guy that he could get you. But are you happy with him?” y/n’s face broke out into a smile and replied, “I’m happier with Aaron than I’ve ever been before. You have no idea how good he makes me feel.” Hearing this, Prentiss and JJ smiled and moved forward to give y/n a hug. JJ said, “Well then I’m happy for you. But you better be ready for a lot of questions from us and Penelope over a few bottles of wine, y/n.” y/n smiled and replied, “You got it!”
While the ladies were chatting, Aaron got to his office and sat down. He, unlike y/n, was aware that he would have to explain things to the team. Or more like a certain member of the team who had shot him a disappointed look once he’d gotten into the office. When Aaron had his laptop out and had answered two of the most pressing emails the knock on the door shifted his attention. Hotch didn’t even say, come in, Derek just entered and stood at the door for a second before he closed it behind himself. Hotch looked up at his agent who stepped forward and placed his hands on his hips. Hotch pressed his lips together in a firm line as he extended the greeting, “Morgan.” Derek nodded and said, “Hotch.” Derek spent a moment testing out what he wanted to say, but finally just came out with, “What are you doing Hotch? What were all those trainings and mandatory workshops on professionalism about if you’re going to get into a relationship with not only the newest agent in the department but the youngest agent in the BAU? Explain the logic of that to me because it feels pretty hypocritical.” Hotch did his best to hold back the sigh he wanted to let out. This type of reaction was the exact reason why Aaron had been hesitant to let the team know in the first place. He understood that he was going against all of the things he had said and tried to demonstrate.
However, Aaron truly hadn’t meant to fall in love with y/n like he had. He’d tried to stop the feels at every turn. Hell, when y/n had joined the team he hardly believed in the concept of love anymore with how it had ended with Haley. But slowly, over time, the way Aaron had left about y/n shifted. There was a love there unlike any he’d ever seen before. It wasn’t anything dramatic. Not a damsel in distress or that a lust had come over him. It was in the little things y/n did for him and the team. y/n not only looked out for people in small ways but understood that she needed to take care of herself too. She personified not trying to pour from a cup half empty. It was rare to see someone be so aware of what they needed and when they needed to step away. Aaron thought it was very attractive that y/n knew herself so well. At the end of the day when the team asked each other in the elevator what they were doing that night, y/n would always confidently say, “Oh you know, _y/f/r/a_. How about y’all?” When y/n quickly realized that Aaron didn’t even seem to have any coping strategies apart from staying late in the office, she slowly started inviting him to join her for things she liked that helped her unwind. She never pressured him into anything. She never analyzed his patterns or made comments, and slowly Hotch had started to agree and had relaxed a bit. That was when he first realized his feelings for y/n might be deeper than just a simple affection.
Of course, explaining this all to Morgan didn’t feel appropriate or practical. It was he and y/n’s relationship and he didn’t feel like he had to justify it, although he could see where Derek was coming from. The best Aaron could answer Morgan’s question with was, “I didn’t intend it to be like this. And you see us in the office. We don’t flirt or act any differently than normal. And if what y/n and I have together started to affect how we act on the field then I would end it immediately. You can’t judge us on that. And it’s my private affair, Morgan.” The word came out hotter than Hotch intended, but he stood by them. Derek let out a huff and said, “Well it’s not your private affair anymore. You’re setting up rules that you get to break and we don’t? Well, y/n gets to break them too I guess. You might be our superior, but not in this Hotch. If those rules exist then they apply to you as well. And have you thought about y/n? Her role in all of this? You’re her boss whether you’re in a relationship or not.” Aaron flushed, suddenly angry that Morgan wouldn’t think that y/n was in the forefront of his mind at every moment. In every choice, he made going forward. Hotch was about to stand when the door opened again.
While Aaron and Morgan were having their argument upstairs, back in the breakroom y/n had honestly asked what she’d missed, and JJ and Emily had filled her in. Much to y/n’s joy there had been gossip about Janet and Brandon and she listened with rapt attention. While they were laughing about the antics in the department, JJ’s phone pinged and she pulled it from her pocket. JJ’s face dropped immediately when she read the text and y/n and Emily shifted their demeanor as well. y/n asked, “What is it, JJ?” The liaison looked up from her phone and said, “New case. This one seems urgent. It’s directly from the DA. A senator's daughter is missing and he’s running for re-election this year. The DA thinks there might be some connection. I’d better run up and print these files. Em, could you get the rest of the team, and y/n can you tell Hotch?” The two agents nodded and the trio left the break room with determination in their stride. It was fun to talk and chat, but when work needed to get done, they all switched to a serious mood.
Derek didn’t even need to turn around when someone else stepped into the office. From y/n’s distinct tread, he knew it was her. The exasperation that Morgan had been feeling seemed to slip away as he noticed the way Aaron looked at y/n. y/n stayed quiet. She could sense the tension in the air, and that it might be surrounding her. The silence lingered and Derek realized how Aaron looked at y/n. The look on Hotch’s face was one he hadn’t seen in a long time. He looked, happy. Not in a childish “I have a new toy kind of way,” but in a deeply contented and loving way. Morgan dropped his arms and stepped aside, that look on Aaron was enough for him to move aside. y/n stepped forward. She gave Derek a small smile and then looked at Hotch seriously as she said, “We have a case. An important one it seems. JJ is printing the files and we need you in the briefing room.” Aaron nodded and replied, “Okay. I’ll be there in a minute.” y/n nodded and Derek followed her out of the office, but not before giving Hotch a small nod. Not that he was fully onboard, but he could understand better now how much y/n meant to Aaron. Perhaps not only that, but how y/n had helped change Hotch for the better like she had helped the whole team with that. As the pair moved out of the office and toward the briefing room, Derek looked at y/n and asked, “So, how have you been?” y/n tucked a strand of her _y/c/h_ behind her ear and said, “I’m okay. It’s been an interesting day and it’s not even 11:00 yet.” Morgan chuckled and said, “Well, I think it will be okay. You’re a good person, y/n.” y/n smiled and replied, “Thanks, Morgan. You’re a good friend to me.”
Upstairs, Aaron secured his computer and grabbed a legal pad and pen. He and Rossi moved down the hallway together. Dave, whose suspicion had very much been proven correct jokingly said, “So, do you get her home by midnight every night?” Hearing Dave’s joke, Hotch froze. He knew Rossi was just being silly. It was part of his charm. Hotch scoffed and replied, “Maybe, maybe not. What about it?” Rossi moved forward, placed a hand on Aaron’s shoulder with a pat, and replied, “Well just let me know if you need a chaperone for your next date.” Aaron could only roll his eyes and say, “You’re as bad as Morgan, just in the opposite way.” Dave removed his hand and said, “Don’t worry about Derek. He’ll come around. I think we’re all just happy for you. Even if we won’t say it yet. Now, let’s get in there.” When Aaron walked in the room he felt like he was in high school for a moment as all eyes turned to him. He stopped in the doorway and flushed for a second. Emily and Penelope threw him grins but when his eyes landed on y/n he came to himself. y/n was giving him that soft smile that said, “Everything’s going to be alright.” Hotch took a breath knowing that it would be. If not what had they been working toward over the past few months of building a life together? Hotch moved forward, cleared his throat, and said, “This doesn’t seem to be our normal case. So let’s over over the information we have so far together then we can look at the information more closely before having another debrief.
The beginning look over the case information and lead so far was full of ideas and notes and the team did what it did best. After a few minutes, everything settled into its routine like always, and only when Hotch looked over at y/n did he feel himself flush a small bit, but it wasn’t unpleasant. The case so far, was. It dealt with children and a prominent political figure, so the pressure was on the team to solve this quickly. That on top of the mixed reception for the team to his and y/n’s relationship had Aaron feeling a bit antsy. When it came to looking at the files for a few minutes, Aaron moved to the table. It wasn’t a coincidence that the only open chair was next to y/n. Hotch sat down and pulled his chair into the table. He opened his file. y/n, as always, could tell that he was on edge. She took his hand under the table and gave it a soft squeeze. She kept her hand in his, and after a moment, Aaron took both of their hands and set them on the table. Now that the cat was out of the bag it just felt more comfortable that way. y/n took a second to smile at his actions and give his palm another squeeze as her eyes moved back to her file. The cat was out of the bag and Aaron didn’t mind or fear it now that it had happened. The BAU was like a family. They supported each other through life and changes including relationships. And with y/n beside him, he knew that they could make it through anything together.

Wil was kind, sweet and obliging most of the time but he tended to be stubborn as well. Because of his kind nature, he was easy to take advantage of sometimes and he could be clumsy in the situations where clumsiness could cost you a life. So, obviously, you were worried about him. Especially now, when some fanatics were hunting magic users like your boyfriend.
His training to become a healer was not going as well as he had been imagining it and it was bringing him down these days. You remained by his side and waited for him to finish his course so you could go back to your village where he would help the people and heal them. But so far everything seemed to go wrong. Wil was determined to become a healer, though, even though everyone kept telling him that perhaps it was not his calling, after all. Magic was his gift. On the other hand, you didn’t want him to use it too often if there were people hunting magic users. And magic itself had its price as well…
You were sitting on the edge of the bed and worrying. Trying to read a book, but it was difficult to focus on it. It was late and dark and Wil wasn’t back yet, which was causing your thoughts to go places you would rather not go to. You put the book down and started to fidget with your fingers nervously. The sounds of laughter and screams coming from a pub nearby were the only noises you could hear on that warm night. That, and the crickets.
You stood up and began pacing around worryingly when Wil finally came back to your small house that you called home these days. But it didn’t matter because your home was where he was either way.
“Wil!” You scolded him at first but when you approached him, you noticed that his shirt was torn open and there was a huge, bleeding wound on his ribs. His face had a fresh bruise, too, and he was bleeding from his lip.
You reached your hands out to delicately touch his chest and he hissed at your touch. You raised your widened eyes to look into his baby blue ones.
“Wil! What happened?” You asked him in panic and he limped to your bed to sit on the edge of it and groaned out of pain.
“I was at the pub…” He confessed and winced.
“At the pub? What for?” You asked and sat next to him, caressing his hair gently.
“It doesn’t matter now,” he shook his head. You cupped his face to turn it around and force him to look at you.
“What happened?” You bit on your lower lip as your fingers caressed his cheeks. Your eyes filled with tears at the sight of him being in so much pain.
“It’s nothing, really. Just hand me the stones, please,” he pointed at the nightstand table.
He had them hidden in the drawer there, in a brown leather sack – three blue elfstones that he could activate with his magic. But whenever he would, you could see how much it cost him. You didn’t want Wil to use them as much as he did. After the horrors he had been through, he would often use the elfstones to simply run away from his problems and ease his mind.
You furrowed your brow and pulled up the sleeves of his jacket and shirt to reveal the burns on his hands from using the elfstones too much. You shook your head. No, you didn’t want him to use them again. At least not for this sort of thing – which you could patch up perfectly well on your own.
“Let me see…” You gently touched his fresh wound again. “It’s not infected. I can handle that.”
“No!” Wil snapped and you froze. His face softened immediately. “No, darling, I will do it, just hand me the stones.”
“I will not,” you stated with all seriousness.
“Fine then, I’ll do it myself,” he groaned and moved up to be able to reach the nightstand but the sharp pain suddenly worsened and he winced in discomfort, still stubbornly trying to reach for the drawer.
“Wil, please, stop,” you pleaded with tears in your eyes. “Stop, I can handle it. It’s gonna be fine,” you grabbed his hand that he was reaching out and you squeezed it in yours reassuringly. “My love, please, just let me take care of you,” you caressed his cheek with your free hand.
Without a word, Wil nodded and you saw a few tears escaping his pretty eyes. You wiped them with your thumb before they would stream down his face. You leaned in and placed a kiss upon his forehead.
“We have to get rid of that shirt, yes?” You talked him through it softly as you began slowly getting rid of his clothes.
Wil didn’t protest this time. Quite the opposite – he started to lean into your touch and let you take care of him. Nothing but soft whimpers of pain were leaving his pretty lips while you were shushing him lovingly.
“Shhh, pretty boy, I can handle that, it’s fine,” you kept saying.
Once he was in his underwear, you helped him to sit down on your bed and lean on the pillows. You caressed his hair one more time before placing a kiss on the top of his head. Then you got up to get your first aid kit. To be honest, you had quite a few lying around since Wil was training to become a healer.
When you sat on the edge of the bed to disinfect his wounds, he hissed out of pain and sobbed a little, instantly blushing at this display of vulnerability.
“Oh, baby, it’s okay, I love you,” you kissed his flushed cheeks. “It’s okay to cry when it hurts, my love,” you assured him and went back to gently disinfecting the wounds and dabbing the soothing ointment onto them. “So… What happened at the pub, Wil?” You raised your eyebrow at him when you spotted his muscles slowly relaxing under your touch.
“It’s… It’s nothing…” He looked away, visibly not wanting to share the details.
“My boyfriend comes back home all wounded and it’s nothing?” You couldn’t help a little snort.
Wil swallowed a lump in his throat as he hesitated. Finally, he spoke up:
“Just promise me that you won’t be worried,” he looked into your eyes. His own blue ones were giving you a look of a scared puppy and you leaned in to join your foreheads together before rubbing your nose with his.
“How can I not be, sweet darling? I always am worried about you, I love you,” you whispered softly. “But what is it? You must tell me.”
“I went there because I was in a bad mood and didn’t want to ruin your evening with my grumpiness. Some people recognised me,” Wil explained. “They were not from here and I dealt with them. They won’t spread the word about me, so don’t worry, alright?” He quickly added but you were furrowing your brows at his concerning words already.
“What do you mean that some people recognised you?” You asked. “As a magic user?”
“No,” Wil shook his head. “I mean, yes. But they weren’t after me just because of that. Apparently there’s… There’s…” He didn’t know how to finish his sentence as he looked away again. “There’s a price on my head.”
You froze at his words as your heart skipped a beat. A price on your sweet Wil’s head? For what? For saving the world? For being the most adorable man with those cute short tips that you adored? No, it made no sense. But the world was full of cruel people who would want to hurt good men like him.
“We must leave this place,” you finally said.
“No. Not before I finish my training,” Wil insisted, looking at you pleadingly.
“I don’t care if you become a healer or not. I don’t want something bad to happen to you. If we go back home and end up as simple farmers, I’ll be just as happy. I just want you to be okay…” You tried to reason with him.
“I do care. I want to become a healer!” Wil exclaimed and then he cleared his throat and looked down. “I know I’m a failure but I want to finish this training.”
“You’re not a failure, Wil,” you sighed and moved the first aid kit aside after taking the bandage out of it. You adjusted Wil softly to have a better access to the wound on his chest and you began to wrap the bandage around it. “Please, don’t call yourself that. You saved the world, remember?” You tried to cheer him up somehow. It was hard to believe sometimes that this guy was a hero and he seemed to be forgetting that as well.
“Yeah, but that was not a part of the plan. My plan was to become a healer and I’m failing at that,” he whispered shakily.
You didn’t want to argue with him more tonight so you just pursed your lips and finished to bandage him in silence. Then you kissed his forehead and leaned him back onto the pillows before standing up to put the first aid kit back to its place. You also washed your hands in a bowl of water and all this time you kept overthinking that tonight Wil could have lost his life. And instead of running away from this place, he insisted on staying.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?” Wil asked you and you turned around to face him.
“I’m worried,” you admitted and he cracked a smile that filled your heart with so much love that you were scared it would explode.
“You promised you wouldn’t.”
“I did not say such a thing, Wil Ohmsford!” You protested before approaching the bed to crawl up to him and join your lips together in a soft and sweet kiss.
You were careful with him because of his injuries but also because you were always gentle with him overall. How could you not be? He was the sweetest man in the world, of that you were sure. As sweet as a bag of candy and always so kind. Only Wil could see the goodness in everyone and their worth to be loved. And he was yours, all yours at the end of the day.
Just thinking of that made you moan into his mouth as you placed your hands on his shoulders and gently moved up to sit astride him. Your lips were still connected, not leaving each other even for a moment but, eventually, you pulled away to catch a breath and he looked up with glossy eyes and flushed cheeks.
“Let me make you feel good, pretty boy,” you breathed out and he nodded softly before you leaned in to join your lips again but this time the kiss was more passionate and eager.
Wil placed his hands on your hips and softly pulled on the fabric of the nightgown you were already wearing. He exposed the soft flesh of your thighs and your ass before letting his hands wander all over. You could feel through your underwear that he was getting hard under his own. You smirked at that and started to kiss him with even more passion, assaulting his mouth with your tongue, making him whimper under you. Your hands moved to his jaw now, cupping his face to hold it in place while you were devouring his lips.
Your hips started to move, humping his erection in circles as you started to moan into his mouth. You could feel the shivers going down his body at your movements – it never took much for Wil to be like that for you. So desperate, nearly pathetically but you’d never call it this way. He was just devoted to you and he worshipped the ground you were walking on. To have you pleasuring him was always turning him into a whiny mess who would stare up at you lovingly. Meanwhile, when it was him on top of you, he would always try his hardest to make you feel good. He was a giver and a pleaser – not that you wanted to complain about that.
But now it was time for him to receive all of your sweet loving. You moved his hands up and helped him to get rid of your nightgown completely before throwing it on the floor. Then you placed his big hands on your breasts and Wil squeezed them immediately as you smiled.
You broke the kiss again because of the slight lack of oxygen and you caressed his hair while moaning softly at the friction his erection was giving to your needy pussy.
“You feel so good, my love, so good,” you assured him.
The praise was enough to feel that his cock started to leak precum. You smiled at that but didn’t want to tease him.
“Here, let me…” You took his underwear off and freed his hard, achy cock. The tip was swollen and drooling. “Let me take care of that mess, baby,” you cooed to him and adjusted yourself on his lap to grab his length and start pumping it slowly.
You watched Wil’s pretty eyes fluttering and rolling to the back of his head as he threw his head back. His hands still played with your breasts and pulled on your nipples that made you moan each time. Broken whimpers were leaving his lips whenever you would run your thumb across the wet tip of his cock and your free hand caressed the muscles of his chest.
“You’re such a pretty boy,” you praised him and felt more of his precum spurting out onto your hand. You gasped audibly at that as Wil whined. “Oh, my darling…” You leaned in to pepper his face with tiny little kisses. “My sweet, sweet boy…”
You moved up slightly and pressed your clothed hot pussy to the wet tip of his cock. Your hand, still wrapped around his length, began to rub yourself with it. Wil forced his eyes to open as he kept watching you in awe with his mouth slightly open and hazy eyes.
“You want to feel my pussy, baby?” You asked him sweetly between heavy gasps. “You have to ask for it, my love.”
You loved to tease him like that although you needed him inside of you just as much.
“P-please,” Wil whined and lowered his hands from your breasts to your hips to help your movements.
“Good boy,” you praised him.
“Please,” he whimpered and you could see how his eyes filled with tears.
At that delicious sight, you decided to stop torturing him and you moved up to remove your own underwear as fast as possible. When you were both finally naked, you grabbed his cock and guided it into your pussy. Lowering yourself slowly on his length, you were getting drunk on Wil’s whimpers. His hands kept squeezing your hips to help you and tears of pleasure escaped his eyes.
“Aw, baby, shh,” you shushed him once you were seated. You moved closer to his body, carefully, making sure you wouldn’t cause him pain by accident.
Wil wrapped his strong arms around your body and hid his face in your chest, between your breasts. You kissed the top of his head and began to slowly bounce on his cock. He moaned and clinged to you as you started to chase your highs. Your soft moans filled the air while you rocked on his cock up and down and back and forth with your hands on Wil’s shoulders. You held onto them to keep steady and occasionally scratched his skin there gently.
“You’re such a good boy to me, baby,” you assured him when you felt his hips needily bucking up into you for more. It was making you feel dizzy since his cock was hitting your sweet spot each time. “Such a good boy,” you added.
Wil turned his head and kissed your breast while you caressed his cheek softly and picked up your pace.
“I want to protect you from everything, baby,” you whispered and held his head delicately as if he could break if you pressed too hard.
Because sometimes you were scared of that, actually – he was so sweet and so good that you were scared he was not real and if you squeezed him too tight, he would disappear.
The moves of his hips became more chaotic now and after a few rougher thrusts, he spilled himself inside of you with a loud, shaky moan, hiding his face between your tits again. The sight and the sound alongside the feeling of all the shivers going down his body was enough to make you reach your high, too. You buried your face in his hair and came hard, squeezing his spent cock with a whimper and fingernails digging into his shoulders.
You stayed like that for a while, catching your breaths. You could feel him softening slowly inside of you but your skins were so sticky from sweat that you didn’t want to pull away from him at all. However, eventually, you had to.
Wil leaned back onto the pillows again and his eyes rolled back with a sigh. You chuckled at that and stood up to grab a cloth and wash yourselves although your legs were shaky now.
“Do you feel better now, baby?” You asked him with a sweet smile when he forced his eyes to open and focus them on you.
“You’re an angel, sweetheart,” he praised you.
You smiled at the words and dropped the cloth onto the floor before crawling up on the bed and pressing a kiss to his forehead.
“Always watching over you, darling,” you assured him.

Your pains were his pains. Billy reminded you of that over and over.
“You’re my girl, ‘n I take care ‘f what’s mine,” he whispered softly into your hair one night. “Lemme ease your burdens.”
Billy knew you suffered from a pain that plagued you at all months, flaring up randomly, whenever you’d been working too hard or stressed.
Honestly, you probably wouldn’t have told him of your ailment had it not been for a particularly painful night when you’d wept in his arms, inconsolable over your aches and pains. He’d been comforting, but confused at the cause. You’d been fine earlier. That was when you confessed your troubles, told him you’d been dealing with it for most of your life.
That same night he promised he’d always be there to comfort you. And he was. Whenever you told him.
Truthfully, you felt a significant amount of guilt over it. This was something he never signed up for when he started loving you. You didn’t want to be a burden.
So most times you kept it quiet. And he thought you were doing better. He even commented on it a couple of times, both incidentally during a flare up, saying he was “happy his girl was feelin’ so good lately”.
You were a good actress, due to the nature of your upbringing. The oldest of five, it had been hard for you to see yourself as deserving of anything good unless you worked for it. Your problems were yours. They were not to be foisted upon anyone else.
It felt silly to burden the one you loved with such things. Billy was kind and good and caring. But his past was also heavy, the nature of his work hard. You had no desire to add to his plate of worries, which already included you. He was a protector, and you couldn’t change that. You could control this.
Even though you hid things well, he knew you inside and out, and he could always tell when something wasn’t quite right. So of course he’d ask. And you came close to telling him a few times. The thing that stopped you was always that look in his eyes, that blatant exhaustion from the day’s events.
It was easier on your conscience to wear a smile and kiss his cheek and say you were fine. It worked like a charm until one day.
You’d been out for most of the morning and into the afternoon in town running errands. And then when you came home there were a multitude of chores waiting for you. To top it off, your lower back and knees had been killing you all day, the most common places for you to get pain.
Still, you worked through it, deciding to tough it out instead of resting. But it seemed nothing would go your way.
Chores took longer than you’d expected due to your aches, and when you finally finished you were sniffling, trying not to cry from how much it was hurting. Still you were determined to pull through. The day isn’t over. The day isn’t over.
When you finally reached the house, you breathed a sigh of relief, back throbbing, until you felt something in your bloomers. Since you were alone, you bunched up your skirt and pulled them down, even though you already knew what it was.
A little dot of red. Your monthly had decided to come.
That was the final straw. You dropped your skirts and sank to your knees and burst into tears, burying your face in your hands and sobbing, trying to erase this horrible day.
You loathed yourself in that moment, resented your body. Why did it always make things worse for you? Why couldn’t it just function normally like everyone else’s. The wish only mounted your frustrations, sending a fresh wave of tears down your cheeks.
Apparently the door had opened but you hadn’t heard it, because suddenly you felt a hand on your shoulder and another at your opposite arm. Then a familiar, comforting voice was whispering, “Ohh, sweetie, baby, what happened?”
Immediately you turned into his body, holding him tight. You were too exhausted to be strong right now.
“Today’s been awful,” you choked through your crying, and he cooed, soothing a hand through your hair and holding the back of your head.
“Ya hurtin’ sweet girl?” Billy mumbled, holding you close. You were too desolate to offer anything but a pitiful nod.
“Mmkay, alright honey,” he murmured, bringing you to stand with him. Before you could start to walk, he scooped you up, cradling you against his chest and walking swiftly to the bedroom.
Even though you’d only let him see you so vulnerable a handful of times, Billy still knew the drill.
You admitted tearily that you were on your monthly as well, and he nodded, disappearing into the bathroom and coming back with a fresh rag in his hand, digging through a drawer for a new pair of bloomers.
He brought them to you shamelessly, helping you get your dress and shoes off, and bunching up your chemise to pull the stained bloomers off, replacing them with fresh ones, stuffing the rag in to catch your womanly blood.
When that was over he squeezed your hands, noting the look of pain across your face. “Want one of my shirts, honey?” Your eyes lightened and he gave a slight smile, getting up and grabbing your favorite- button down the same blue as his eyes.
You discarded your chemise, replacing it with the shirt, only fastening one button. It was much too big, but you felt comforted being surrounded by his scent, something that was so undoubtably his.
Billy kicked off his boots and helped you get under the covers of the bed, smiling softly when you reached out for him. He settled in with you, keeping you on your tummy so he could rub your back soothingly. “M’ poor baby,” he mumbled, stroking your spine. “Don’t deserve one bit ‘f this. My sweet angel.”
You sniffled, one of your legs bending slightly. “It’s been hurting so bad all day.”
“Aww, sweet girl,” he leaned forward and kissed your head, lying on his own stomach so he could hold you better, hand slipping under the hem of your (his) shirt so he could settle a warm palm at the core of the pain. “Hasn’t happened in awhile, huh?”
You didn’t respond, more guilt building up at the fact that you’d been lying. There wasn’t a fig of energy left in you to keep it up. “It has.”
His motions stopped briefly. “Whatcha mean, baby?”
You shifted on your side so you could see him. “I haven’t been telling you-“
Whatever you’d been about to say was cut off by him pulling you into his chest, burying his nose in your hair. “Ohh, baby. ‘M so sorry. ‘M so sorry you felt like ya had to do it all by yourself.”
Now your tears had returned, and you pressed your face into his chest. “I didn’t wanna worry you.”
“That’s my job, darlin’,” he muttered. “Worry boutcha anyways. Don’t need ya to be in pain while I’m doin’ it.” Billy pulled back slightly, giving you a fond but firm look. “Don’t go hiding’ it from me no more. I can’t have my girl hurtin’ so bad all by herself.”
The look in his eyes was so sweet and sincere that you nodded, squeezing his hand. Truly in your life you’d never had anybody look at you like that. Never had somebody love you so unconditionally. Billy was selfless to his very core.
He pressed a few gentle kisses to your face, sealing his promise to always look after you. Pulling back for a second, he said, “Can I get ha anythin’ my love? Brandy? Maybe some tea?”
Your tears dried up as you giggled at the first suggestion. “Only you would offer brandy.”
Billy grinned, stroking your hair. “‘M a cowboy, honey. The drink’s the only cure-all remedy we know.” He kissed your forehead. “Tea then?”
“Mhm,” you nodded, and he gently untangled himself from you, pecking the part in your hair and telling you he’d be back in a minute.
When he came back with a steaming mug of chamomile you nearly cried again. And you did cry when he rubbed your back, whispering how strong you were, how his baby was sweeter than candy and didn’t deserve such awful things to happen.
Somehow he eased you to sleep that night, swaddled in his arms and his shirt, and all you could think of was how much you loved Billy, and how wonderful it was to be loved by him.

TW: Possessive Behaviors, Swearing, and Suicide Mentioned
Yandere!Ashley Graves x GN!Reader
Ashley couldn’t explain why she felt so strongly towards you
Maybe it was your looks. The way your eyes lit up when talking about your interests. Your voice. Or…maybe it was cause you were the only person (who wasn’t Andrew) to make her feel cared about
It started with small, insignificant things. A hello in the morning when you crossed paths. Compliments on her hair or outfit that day. A look of pure adoration when she spoked.
It wasn’t until your actions became more noticeable did she truly realize you cared about her.
“Ah shit!” Ashley hissed under her breath at the falling droplets of water.
Of course it had to rain, the one day she didn’t bring a stupid umbrella- or have Andrew to shield her- it rained. She stomped her foot in frustration, her face puffing up in fury towards Mother Nature. She sighed and was about to step forward and seal her fate with the cold and wet when—
“Here,” a familiar voice called to her, “We can share my umbrella.”
Ashley blinked, surprised. Her head slowly turned to look back at the source of the voice. Her assumptions were correct, as you smiled at her- umbrella in hand.
“Uh-…thanks-“ wearily, Ashley stepped closer to you- her arms hugging her body cautiously.
She stayed close to you, her body practically pressed against yours as you both shared the safety of the umbrella. A small blush painted her cheeks as she felt…safe pressed against your form. You always were so kind to her…
From there, she noticed your kindness more and more. And each time it made her heart melt. She felt so loved. So cherished.
…but then she saw that you treated everyone that way. Basic human decency to everyone you came into contact with. She especially hated it when it was other women.
She wasn’t special- she wasn’t as important as she thought. And that pissed her the fuck off.
She ignored you at first- thinking the silent treatment would do you some good. Teach you a lesson.
But then…it hit her-
You’re so kind. And these hussies would do nothing but take advantage of you. That’s what they were doing….taking advantage of you.
Obviously she’d have to protect you.
Ashley clung to your arm, holding you back from chasing after the woman who just ran off. You stared off, wide eyed, before turning to look at Ashley.
“Wh- What was that about?” You sounded dumbfounded, “Why did you scare her off?”
“You couldn’t see it?” She replied, her head tilting slightly.
“See what?”
“She was taking advantage of you, Y/N!” She extended an arm out in the woman’s general direction.
No. She- she wasn’t. Right? How could Ashley know that?
“How do you know that?” Your eyes dared to leave Ashley’s as you looked off towards the fleeing woman again.
“Wow, you really are too nice for your own good.” Ashley grabbed your chin and turned your head to face her once again, “It was so obvious! Cold-hearted hussies like that see a good person like you and want to drain you for everything you’ve got. You’re just too sweet to see that hun.”
Ashley’s nails dug into your arm. You winced from the pain, but didn’t object.
“You need someone like me to help you see that..” her voice was low, her knuckles white from how hard she dug her nails into your arm, “To protect you.”
And protect you she did
You began gaining a reputation in the area, and not a good one.
“Stay away from Y/N, or their girlfriend will bite your head clean off!” “That crazy chick always hangs around them- best stay away.” “I heard their friend harassed a girl into jumping off a bridge.”
Your own friends became scared of you. They slowly stopped answering your calls- all until you confronted them and they gave you their official goodbyes
“Look it’s just..” your friend shoved their hands into their pockets, eyes glued to the ground to avoid your hurt expression, “I think it’s best if we just take some time apart.”
You felt like they had more to say…but you didn’t prod as they walked away from you.
You were now completely alone
Well…except for Ashley.
She comforted you when your friends left. She was protecting you against the people taking advantage of your kindness. She was there for you when everyone left.
You were hers. Forever.

"when i can't sleep at night⏤ i stare at the empty side of my bed, and wonder about the things i would tell you, if you were lying next to me." ⏤A.S.
.
Not like this. Not like this. Not like this. Your heart was racing in your chest, and with every painful beat the words echoed through your skull. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. The fingers wrapped around the back of your neck squeezed hard enough that you knew there would be bruises left in their wake⏤ you could feel his nails digging into your flesh⏤ but the pain wasn’t registering. Not yet. Not when fear and panic suffocated you in a haze the way it did. All you could feel was the heavy weight of Din’s gaze under his helmet. He was reassuring you. Din was restricted in whip cords, brought down to his knees by Imperials, weapons carelessly cast aside, and he was reassuring you in the familiar comfort of Mando’a.
It’s going to be okay, cyar'ika.
No. No, it wasn’t. Moff Gideon’s laugh in your ear told you it wasn’t.
Don’t cry. We'll get out of this.
Were you crying? You couldn’t even tell⏤ you were numb and frozen in shock. This couldn’t be happening.
You’re going to fine. I swear it, cyar'ika. I won’t let them hurt you.
You didn’t care. Your own safety was dangerously low on your list of priorities. If it meant Din got to walk away safely you’d do anything. Literally anything.
Listen to him. It’s alright. Just do it. He’s going to hurt you if you don’t.
No. You couldn’t. Not like this. Din and you had been side by side for years now. Partners in every aspect. It started with bounty hunting. Then, when Grogu came into the picture it turned into running from the Empire. Searching for the child’s home. The nature of your jobs continued to change and alter, but the love between you both had never faltered. It grew and grew and grew until it could be contained no longer. For three years you had been his partner in crime, but only for the last six months had you been his lover.
“Take his helmet off. Now.” Moff Gideon growled low in your ear. Seething in rage at how long this was taking, but not enough to just walk away or do it himself. The bastard knew the weight of this and you knew it was why he wanted you to be the one to break Din’s creed in such a violent manner.
You shook your head again⏤ hands curled into tight fists at your side. No one took the Creed more seriously than Din, but you were a close second. It became a habit for you, living with him, and keeping your eyes away from him in moments when he needed to shed the helmet. Even when he removed it for Grogu, you averted your gaze. Din asked once why you hadn’t just looked when you had a chance, and you told him it was because you respected his beliefs and you wanted to do it right.
And, Din said you would. He swore that when the fight was done, when he finished helping Bo Katan reclaim Mandalore, all three of you would settle. Din would find a safe place for you, him, and Grogu. A place where you could share vows then remove his helmet, creed intact. Somewhere quiet and warm. Somewhere he didn’t have to wear an ounce of beskar on his skin and you could spend the entire night memorizing every detail of him. You had spent countless nights dreaming of that soft moment to come.
Not like this. Not like this. Not like this.
Moff Gideon, impatient and eager for his enemies’ downfall, lifted his hand from the back of your neck to tangle in your hair then he yanked your head back. A cry of pain tore through you as Din lashed out in anger⏤ trying to loosen the Imperials’ hold.
“Take his helmet off or I slit his throat and let his blood pool at your feet.”
He shoved you forward, hand falling away from you, and a sob left your lips. Trembling violently, your hands reached out to settle on either side of the silver beskar helmet you associated with adoration. You loved this man, yet here you were about to forcefully tear a piece of him away.
“It’s alright.” Din whispered. His hoarse, modulated voice making you cry harder. “Do it. It’s not your fault. I want you to do this.” Your bottom lip quivered and you bit down on it hard enough to draw blood. “Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum, cyar’ika.”
With a sharp breath, you lifted his helmet and squeezed your eyes shut. Maybe he wouldn’t notice that you weren’t looking. Moff Gideon could make you break Din’s creed, and maybe keeping your eyes shut now was more a nuance than anything else, but you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. Even when the logical voice at the back of your mind told you that Din could redeem himself once more⏤ if the two of you just got out of this alive it would be alright⏤ you couldn’t do it. Redemption or not, this moment would be gone. You couldn’t unsee his face. An Imperial barked out a sound, and Moff Gideon’s hands were on you once more.
“Don’t touch her!” Din yelled.
Moff Gideon strangled you now, his hand wrapped around the front tight enough to steal your breath, “One last choice, you stupid, stubborn girl. Open your eyes and look at the once Mandalorian or I’ll make sure you never see anything again.”
“Look at me. Look at me!” Din roared, you could hear him struggling against his captors again. “Cyar’ika, please. Please look at me.” He pleaded⏤ begged. “Open your eyes for me, please.”
Broken at the anguish in his voice, you opened your eyes and Moff Gideon made sure you faced your Mandalorian. And, there he was. The man you loved. Sweat made strands of his brown hair cling to his forehead while the rest sat a mess on top of his head from where you pulled his helmet off. Scruff along his jaw that you had felt, but never seen. And his eyes⏤ Din’s eyes were the softest shade of brown and the emotions that swirled in his gaze was enough to knock the wind from you. Panic, fear, anger, anguish, but there was also love. So much love and adoration that it made another sob slip from your lips. You wanted to touch him⏤ to tell him how beautiful he was while your fingers traced every line of his face.
Your hand lifted to him, but you were suddenly yanked back so he was just out of reach.
“Take him to the debriefing room.” Moff Gideon commanded and the Imperials began to drag him away. You screamed out to Din, trying to lunge toward him, but Moff Gideon kept a tight grip on your arm locking you in place. In all your focus on watching Din get dragged away, you hadn’t noticed a weapon being drawn⏤ not until the vibroblade pierced your side.
“No!” Din’s scream seemed to rattle the room. You collapsed and clutched your side to try and stem the bleeding that would not stop. It gushed through your fingers painting your clothes and the floor red. Din was thrashing in the arms of the Imperials who carried him off and the last look on Din’s face that you got to see was blinding rage. Then he was out of sight.
You laid your head on the ground⏤ eyes growing heavy. Moff Gideon was addressing the other Mandalorians trapped behind the doors, but sound was slipping away and all you could focus on was the silver beskar helmet lying discarded on the floor beside you. The t-shape visor stared back at you almost mockingly. This was nearly how your day started. Lying on a too small cot with Din pressed to your side in full armor. Soft snores escaping from his modulator while you stared at your reflection in the visor and imagined the day you’d get to fall asleep next to him sans beskar.
Not like this. Not like this.
Blaster fire filled the air and you let your eyes drift close.
Not like this.

Gone Fishing: And Baby Makes Three…
this was originally a request from my dear friend Katie (but tumblr ate it, so it no longer exists) and it spiraled into a short little mini series (tagged on my masterlist). just sweet little blurbs when i get a request or the mood strikes.
original prompt: eddie tells wayne he’s going to be a grandpa.
warnings/tags: r is pregnant; mentions of pregnancy and related symptoms; dad!eddie munson x afab!fem!reader. (2k words)
-
Eddie had come home from work one day and found you sitting in the kitchen with Steve and Nancy’s newest little one. A wrinkly faced newborn with Steve’s dark head of hair and Nancy’s eyes. And when Steve had handed that baby to Eddie, your eyes had softened in a way he’d never seen before.
He supposed it shouldn’t have come as a surprise when later that night you'd asked him if he wanted to try for one of your own. And it wasn’t like he’d been opposed to the idea—he’d married you with the intention of starting a family some day.
In all honesty, the trying to get pregnant part…well, that had been fun. He’d just anticipated a little bit of time between deciding to start trying and getting pregnant. But two months later, you’d come home from the doctor with a photo in hand of his affectionately named “little gummy bear.”
It hadn’t looked like much at the time. A tiny little blob with wriggly limbs, if he was being honest with himself. But you’d cried when you held the grainy picture in front of him, and he’d cried too, holding you on his lap at the kitchen table.
Soon enough, another month passed and you were far enough along you felt comfortable enough to tell those around you your exciting news. Naturally, you suggested the two of you tell Wayne first. It felt right to do so, you told him, and he’d agreed.
You were glowing and beautiful, like Nancy had mentioned people said happened during pregnancy one day over dinner, but not your fullest self. Most mornings Eddie felt the bed dip as the sun rose in the sky, and joined you with a hand to comfort in any way possible when you rushed to the bathroom. Whether it was a warm palm sliding up and down your back or the chill of his skin on your clammy cheek, he’d wanted to be there in whatever capacity you’d allow. He’d carry your struggles on his back if he was able to. You were doing all the work, after all. And he was grateful for it—grateful for you.
The evening you were meant to tell Wayne over dinner, you’d been sick since the morning—all day, really, and it pained him to see you like that. He watched you washing dishes in the kitchen while Wayne settled down in the living room with a freshly opened beer, feeling his heart double in size when your eyes lifted and met his.
You’d always been beautiful, but there was something different about you lately. Nancy said that the “glow” people often spoke of was from the endless hormones raging through your body. Some of which he’d become well-acquainted with these few weeks, because they made your emotions vary between happy and sad in a split second—often to his own detriment.
But he really thought they’d gotten it all wrong; he thought that the glow came from the way you were so in love, it manifested on the outside with no more space to contain itself. And if it made him pathetic to admit how in love with you he was, especially so as of late, he’d happily own up to it.
“Are you feeling okay?” He asked, moving over to where you stood with your hips flush against the countertop, your head bent a little low as you scrubbed idly at a dirty plate. His fingers curled along the side of your cheek, turning your face so your eyes would meet his. His thumb tapped at your chin, your lips tugging upward weakly. “There you are. Why don’t you go lay down, hmm? I’ll take care of the rest of the dishes.”
“Eddie.” You placed the dish down in a drying rack and huffed out a slow breath.
“You were up at three in the morning—” He chuckled when you opened your mouth to protest and nudged your cheek with his nose, brushing a kiss there. “I’ll take care of it.”
“I still want you to tell Wayne. I think it’ll be nice for you two to share that memory,” you admitted softly, leaning into his shoulder, one arm wrapping loosely around his waist.
“Have I told you lately how much I love you?”
You wrinkled your nose, grinning. “Only every day.”
He dropped his ringed fingers down to your sweater, sliding over your midsection, seeking the comfort of your warmth. You sighed against his neck, head tucking against his throat, and he murmured, “Please let me take care of the kitchen? I’ll feel ten times better if you go get some rest.”
It took a little bit more convincing, and a brush of lips against your brow with a muttered reassurance he’d take care of everything, before you retreated to your bedroom and closed the door behind you. Eddie worked in quick silence to finish up where you’d left off, calling over his shoulder to his Uncle that he’d just be a minute.
His Uncle leans back with a great sigh, hand waving unhurriedly in the air. “No rush, boy.”
And once he’d finished scrubbing the remnants of dinner off the final plate to tuck it away in the drying rack, he flounced over to the kitchen table where you’d wrapped a gift for his Uncle. He double checked the little card tucked in between sheets of tissue paper, pushed it to the front of the bag, and snatched the handles in his hand.
A crooked, lopsided smile crosses Wayne’s face that matches the one Eddie wore, eyes widening in curiosity at the gift dangling in his nephew’s hand. “It’s not my birthday, y’know,” he said, placing his beer down on the coffee table. Eddie leaned back on the couch beside him, nerves bubbling to life at what lay within. Wayne’s smile dropped, concern lining his features as he asked, “Is the little missy not feelin’ okay?”
Eddie sighed heavily. “Yeah, she’d been up this morning sick. I told her to go lay down,” he admitted, thumbing at his ring finger, twirling the yellow gold wedding band around and around in his nervousness. “Open the card first.”
“What are you doin’? More jittery than normal,” he chided, but slid his finger beneath the edge of the envelope all the same, opening the lip to reveal a Hallmark card. On the front was a golden trophy, with a banner stretched across reading ‘The World’s Greatest Pop Pop.’ His head turned to Eddie, the creases around his mouth deepening as he swallowed thickly and opened the card. The older man rubbed a hand over his mouth, throat clearing as his eyes reread the words on the card over and over again. “My boy. Are you tellin’ me I’m gonna be a grandpa? The Mrs. Munson is havin’ a baby?” At Eddie’s slow nod, Wayne barked out a disbelieving but excited laugh, pulling his nephew into a rough hug.
Eddie swallowed the knot forming in his throat. Exhaled deeply to keep the tears at bay. He’d been doing that a lot since finding out you were expecting; blubbered when you told him you were pregnant, then once more when he’d accompanied you for the next doctor’s appointment and saw the little thing for himself, and then once more when he’d heard the heartbeat for the first time.
“Finish opening your gift before you start getting all sappy and shit,” he teased, choking on his own emotions. Wayne slid out the grainy photo from the last ultrasound, thumb running along the tiny outline of the little one. Eddie grinned, leaning over to trail a finger along the form. “That’s from an earlier appointment. I can show you what they look like now. Less…alien-gummy bear hybrid, more…actual baby. With fingernails, the doctor said. Thought that was pretty cool.”
Wayne huffed out a watery laugh and fished out the pieces of tissue paper within the package. His mouth worked silently over the emotions riling in his gut as he lifted a hat within his palm and glanced at the words etched across the front. There at the top, was a fish with a reel swirling around in a loop, poised at its opened mouth. Then, in blocky lettering below, read ‘Reel Cool Pop Pop.’
When Wayne leaned back, his teary eyes scanned Eddie’s face, frown setting further into the wrinkle lines crowding his lips. “What’s wrong, boy? I can tell somethin’ is goin’ ‘round in that head of yours.” He knocked his weathered knuckles lightly against Eddie’s temple; Eddie nudged his head away, lips quirking with a smile despite himself. “C’mon now. Your brow’s wrinklin’ like your momma’s did when she used to worry.”
“I’m happy. Shit– I’m so excited, but I…” He paused, pressing the heels of his palms to his eyes. “I’m, ah, in a few months I’m gonna be a dad and I don’t know why, but the universe thinks I’m ready for that.”
“Listen, I know what you’re thinkin’. But I’m gonna tell you right now that you are not your old man. You’re a good man, Ed. Gave me hell for a few years, but I know you’re ready,” he said, lowering his head to where Eddie’s palms slid down his face, an exhausted sigh falling through the gaps between his fingers. “Got a good head on your shoulders and a big heart. Been a good husband to your wife, and I know you’ll make a fine dad. I’m proud of you. So very proud of you, son.”
Later that evening, when Eddie entered your shared bedroom with joy in his heart and excitement bubbling in his blood, you shifted up onto your elbow. You peered over at him with a wide grin across your pretty features. Asked, “What’s making you smile like that?”
Eddie’s grin widened, hand splaying over his heart like a love struck fool as he practically threw himself onto the bed, singing, “You're havin' my baby what a lovely way of sayin' how much you love me.”
The sleeves of your too-long sweater covered your face, body rolling away from him, mortified. “Edddds, no. Please no Paul Anka song again.”
His nose pressed into your cheek as his chin hooked over your shoulder. Lips smacked a loud kiss against your cheek, an amused chuckle spilling from his lips. “What? I’m a man madly in love with his wife. What’s wrong with that?”
Nothing. Nothing at all, so you shifted closer to him, back aligning with his chest as his arms wound tight around your waist. You let out a contented hum as his palm drifted along the waistband of your jeans and beneath the hem of your sweater, lingering over the secret growing beneath your heart. “I love you, too,” you whispered, hand affectionately grazing over the back of his. “Was Wayne happy?”
“Over the moon. Said he thinks it’s a boy.”
And seven months later, he’d be right.
Wayne entered that hospital with balloons in one hand and a teddy bear in another. His weathered face drew tight as he ducked into the room you’d been moved into to rest and recover, hand waving in greeting to where Eddie sat at your bedside with his newborn son cradled in the crook of his elbow. An infant boy with dark hair like his and the eyes of the woman he loved. Eddie leaned down to press a kiss to your temple, pride at what you’d done to bring your son into the world still glowing bright in his chest, and waved his uncle over. Watched as Wayne placed the gifts down onto the small couch pressed against the corner wall and drifted nearer to your bedside.
Eddie’s lips quirked into a bright smile as his uncle glanced down at the little blue bundle in his arms, before glancing up. “Congratulations, you two.”
Eddie glanced your way briefly to capture your glowing smile—to take in the way your eyes had never once left your son’s since his arrival on this side of earth, and then lifted to his uncle’s, your voice tired as you asked, “Wanna hold your grandson?”
“Yeah,” he said hoarsely, breaking off to clear his throat and inhale deeply. Eddie swapped places, climbing up from the makeshift rocking chair to allow Wayne to sit, before he leaned down and brushed a kiss against the baby’s head. Once his uncle situated himself, Eddie lowered the infant into his arms. “What did you two end up namin’ him?”
Your eyes flickered briefly to Eddie’s, head bobbing with a nod. Eddie brushed his thumb along his son’s cheek and said proudly, “James Aragorn Munson.”
James shifted in his grandfather’s arms. His head moved to seek out the shelter of his warmth—to seek out the love he’d already known in his short span of time in the outside world.
“Welcome, James.” Wayne moved his rough palm to the back of the baby’s head and shifted him on his lap so he lay stretched out before him. The older man admired those tired eyes that blearily gazed up at him with a tenderness that knocked the wind out of Eddie. James’ mouth opened in a little grunt, eyes closing once more in contentment, unknowing that he’d already stolen the hearts of the three watching him with rapt attention. “I’m your Pop Pop. We’ve been waitin’ for you.”

Yoooo idk if you know what my hero academia is but what about a batsib( platonic) who’s a lot like dabi. Abused all there life has blue fire burns all over them. Abnormal body heat. Who would be more interesting in the fire? Who would help batsib take care of there burns. HOW WOULD THEY REACT TO THE STABLES COMING OFF!!!
Just the amount of chaos has me foaming out the mouth.
YANDERE BATFAM + YANDERE TODOROKI CLAN x READER
I tweaked your request a bit and added yan todo clan into the mix if you don’t mind anon? if you rather a version without them then feel free to request again!
I’ll prolly do a part two of this to expand more on the Todo family, Tim, Dick, and Bruce but who knows what my ADHD will hyperfixate on next.
God can I just say that I love Todoroki Clan v Batfam fics. However few and far between they are so I’ll be writing this with a Todoroki! Reader in mind. Perhaps a twin of Dabi.
status: unedited
Humans have a natural, visceral attraction to fire. One can’t help but be drawn to its glow.
You were born as Touya’s (fraternal) twin except your power didn’t have to rely on emotions.
You burned the day you were born. Hurting your mother in the process. Scalding her skin as she desperately tried to feed you despite the danger it meant to her well-being.
In spite of her growing hatred for her husband, you managed to sear your way into her heart and make your mark.
Rei adored you. You looked the most like her underneath all the flames and charred skin. She would coo at you while glaring at her failures. She would run her hands through your hair while the room slowly froze when hearing about that kid who asked for your hand in marriage.
You were her precious gem. A jewel amongst the icky, dark, coal the others call her children. She would do anything for you. Anything.
Enji had to admit. He loved you more than his ambitions himself. He abhorred the pained screams you’d make whenever you tried using your powers. Luckily, unlike his eldest son, you were much more susceptible to the idea of not becoming a hero. All of his attempts at another heir were all in hopes that you didn’t have to face the horrid world of villains.
Touya admired you ever since you two were little. Your parents would often speak of how he’d cry whenever you two were separated. Of how he’d wail whenever you’d get burnt by your own quirk as if he was the one who was hurt.
As you grew up, he grew distant. Envious of your flames that were already so strong. Angry that you born several steps ahead of him regardless of being his twin.
Natsuo and Fuyumi bore the brunt of his complaints. His parents were too entranced by your being so who else did he have to talk to?
It all came to a climax when Shouto gained his quirk. You’d never forget the hope draining from your twin’s visage. The flames that surrounded the two of you when he dragged you out into the woods only to take an attempt at your life.
As darkness consumed your vision, you reach out to your brother’s face and choked out as the smoke covered the two of you.
“I will . . . always . . . love you.”
You awoke to your parents in tears, the news that your twin’s body was never found, and your belongings packed in several bags.
You were to study far away. Have a new start. Where you’d forget your brother.
Gotham.
It was a place known for its crime rate, but Enji’s close friend Bruce promised he’d take care of you while you’re here.
You were greeted by one of his sons, Tim. He was around Fuyumi’s age and was utterly fascinated by your powers.
Through him you were able to appreciate your flames a little more. It was hard not to get close to him. You attended classes together, ate together, played together. He even made you equipment and salves that would ease the burns.
It wasn’t long before you found out about his vigilante persona and thus Bruce’s. But for the sake of safety (your own and their’s) you decided to keep that fact to yourself.
Dick often came by once in a while. It was rare but his visits started to become the highlights of your stay in Gotham. He was fun and energetic. Tim and Bruce were great and all but they always had an air of seriousness that reminded you all too well of your family back in Japan.
He’d often sneak you out and teach you some acrobatic moves. Through process of searching good old google about the Robins, you figured out he was Nightwing after a short while.
Although you absolutely despised them now, you couldn’t deny them their credit for reigniting your passion for heroics.
You started training on your own. Control was something you had already practiced in the past. You knew how to stop the flames when it flared up too much. But you never really got to the point of using it for attacks and combat.
You didn’t really get that far. The most you could do without getting suspicious was to ask your father for a tutor in self defense while only adding some of your flames for the extra damage.
Not to mention the fact that a fire based vigilante would definitely raise flags for the family you’ve been living with.
So you started your “hero” life without using much of your flames until such a time that you were able to either go back to Japan or move out to another state.
That’s when you met Jason. You didn’t know much about him at first. Only that he killed a bunch of the thugs that you were trying to handle on your own.
Without him you’d probably have been dead several times by now.
Thus you took it upon yourself to help him in any way you can.
From being a hindrance you slowly started becoming an essential asset to Jason’s patrols. So much so that he often would blow up if you disappeared for a week only to apologize profusely and buy you pizza when he found out you were gone because of exams.
Jason also made you discover a very important part of your power. While your quirk didn’t rely on emotions to be strong within itself, emotions still played a huge part of it.
And as he slowly placed his lips upon yours, a wall of flame sets off.
You never returned to him after that day.
Around your early adulthood, Damian was taken into the household.
It wasn’t that long before you figured out he had no filter and a lot of ego to boot.
He reminded you a lot of a cat. Your parents would never let you adopt one out of fear for you being scratched, or worse a cat barbecue so you often projected that childhood desire of yours to him.
So while he’d hurt you both physically and emotionally, you in turn would return whatever he gave with love and headpats.
It annoyed him to no end. Who were you to treat him like a baby? If it weren’t for your flames he could probably have you on the floor in a minute tops.
But whenever you’d disappear he realizes how much he enjoys your presence.
He was there when you came back after your encounter with Jason. Your burnt and tattered clothes.
He saw the news. He knew that you’ve been going out to save civilians with one of his predecessors. He knew all about your past and your powers.
And he knew that from this day forth, you were never going to leave the manor ever again.

Traccye Love used hair relaxers for years and believes the chemicals in those hair products are related to her uterine fibroids. Love, of Oak Park, had a hysterectomy two years ago and is one of thousands of women who have filed suit against the hair care companies.
Growing up in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood in the late 1990s, Traccye Love wished for the long, smooth tresses of pop star Aaliyah.
“That was the look then — smooth and straight,” said Love, of Oak Park. “My mom would press it (with a hot comb), but I wanted it to stay straight.”
Love wasn’t allowed to get her first chemical hair relaxer until she turned 18. For most of the women in her close-knit, predominantly Black community, the rite of passage of using relaxers to straighten their naturally kinky, thick hair had come much younger. Love’s mother worried about the dangers of using a relaxer: chemical burns or brittle hair caused by lye and similar chemicals in hair-straightening products.
Throughout college, and well into her 30s, Love slathered on chemicals from home straightening kits every six weeks or so. Then, in her late 30s, she began to feel knee-buckling abdominal pain during her menstrual cycles — on her worst days each month, Love downed five 200-milligram tablets of ibuprofen every four hours.
“It felt like someone was taking my ovary and twisting it like a balloon,” Love said.
After several years and trips to three different doctors, tests revealed Love had multiple, golf ball-sized fibroid tumors in her uterus. In 2022, at the age of 38, she had a hysterectomy. She was still using hair relaxers until her husband spotted a social media post about lawsuits targeting the manufacturers. She now thinks the relaxers caused her tumors.
“It had never occurred to me that there was serious risk to using relaxers,” Love said. “I thought the risk was getting scalp burns.”
In October 2022, the first of several thousand lawsuits was filed at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse in the Loop by a woman from St. Louis claiming that chemicals in hair relaxer products she used — such as Soft Sheen, Just for Me and Dark & Lovely — caused her cancer.

“A Fascination”
[James Potter x Lily Evans]
[Greek Mythology AU]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I got this idea from this post (this is my 2nd account)
Summary: In an era when gods and mortals walked the same earth, a god becomes fascinated with a mortal healer...
Warnings: Mild depictions of injury, themes of deception(disguise), slow-burn, inaccuracies, not proofread, angst, fluff, happy ending, kinda rushed ending though
Word Count: 6189 words
A/N: this is the longest fic I've written and the most research I've done. The ending might be a bit shit but I don't care at this point man it's like 4 AM here when I finish this. And I hate myself. And I hate this. I'm tired.
In the age of the gods, Olympus gleamed in the heavens. Gods and goddesses moved like whispers among it. Among them was Joveas, the god of bravery and youthful exuberance, a deity revered for his boundless energy and heart of gold.
The God of Valor and Lighthearted Mischief had always been fascinated by the mortal realm. Unlike many of his fellow gods, who regarded mortals with indifference or disdain, he found their lives full of wonder.
He admired their resilience, their ability to love and laugh, even in the face of hardship. Often, he would descend from Olympus in disguise, wandering among them to observe their lives firsthand.
It was during one of these visits that he first saw her—the mortal with the long, red hair that cascaded down her back in waves like fire, and the green eyes that seemed to hold the depth of an endless forest. The healer with the sharp tongue, but compassion that ran so deep it could bloom flowers.
She was perfect. In every way, he could think of. And he thought about it.
A lot.
He met her for the first time disguised as a traveler. She was walking to the forest with a basket when he 'stumbled' upon her, 'injured'.
Are you all right?" she asked, her voice a blend of professional calm and genuine worry.
Joveas groaned theatrically, managing to muster a pained expression. "I seem to have twisted my leg. I could use some help."
Lily set down her basket and knelt beside him, her hands moving with practiced precision as she examined his leg. Her touch was gentle but firm, and Joveas couldn't help but notice the careful attention she gave to every movement.
What's your name?" As she started getting bandages for the 'injury'.
He had a name that he gave when he asked, but that was fake. He didn't want her to know him by it, So the god gave her a special name, a forgotten one. "James. James Potter."
"Well, James Potter, let's take you to my infirmary. It’s not far from here, and I can tend to your injury properly," Lily said, her voice firm as she secured the bandage around his leg.
Joveas—now James—nodded, smug that his ruse had worked. He could feel the warmth of her touch through the bandages, and it sent a thrill through him.
Lily helped him to his feet, and together they began the short walk to the infirmary. The forest around them was alive with the sounds of nature, but James focused entirely on the woman beside him.
As they walked, James took in every detail he could—the way the sunlight filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on her hair, the light scent of herbs that clung to her skin, the quiet confidence in her stride. She wasn’t like anyone he had ever met, mortal or divine.
"So, James," Lily began, breaking the comfortable silence, "what brings you here?"
He had prepared for her questions. "I'm a traveler. I’ve always been drawn to the more remote parts of the world. There’s something peaceful about being surrounded by nature, away from the noise of the cities."
Lily glanced at him, her green eyes narrowing slightly as if she didn't quite believe it. "And yet, you managed to injure yourself out here. A bit of bad luck for a seasoned traveler, wouldn’t you say?"
James chuckled more to cover his nervousness than anything else. "Yes, well, even the best of us have our moments of clumsiness. Maybe I was too distracted by the beauty of the forest. And the person in it."
Lily arched an eyebrow at that. "Flattery won’t get you far with me, James Potter. But I suppose I can’t fault you for appreciating the scenery."
They soon arrived at her infirmary, a quaint, charming structure nestled at the edge of the forest.
Lily guided him inside and helped him onto a sturdy wooden chair near the hearth. The interior was cozy, filled with the earthy scent of dried herbs and the warmth of a fire crackling in the hearth. Shelves lined the walls, filled with jars of potions, bundles of dried plants, and books.
"Sit tight," Lily instructed as she began gathering more supplies. "I’ll brew something to help with the pain and swelling."
James watched her move around the room with practiced ease, feeling a pang of guilt for deceiving her, even if it was only to get close to her.
"So, you’re a healer," James said, trying to keep the conversation going. "You must see a lot of interesting cases."
Lily smiled slightly as she prepared the brew, her hands deftly mixing herbs and ingredients. "Interesting isn’t always the word I’d use. But yes, I see a fair share of wounds, illnesses, and the like. It’s challenging, but it’s rewarding work. I like knowing that I can make a difference, even if it’s just a small one."
James nodded, his admiration for her growing with every word."
As she finished preparing the brew, Lily handed him a steaming cup. "Drink this. It’ll help with the pain."
James took the cup, his fingers brushing against hers for a moment, sending a jolt of warmth through him. He sipped the brew, surprised by the pleasant, soothing taste. "Thank you. You’re very kind."
Lily shook her head. "I’m just doing my job, James. But you’re welcome."
His eyes lingered on Lily, watching her as she moved about the infirmary with a grace that was both natural and captivating.
"Just doing your job, huh?" James mused aloud, his voice smooth. "Well, I’m certainly grateful. But I must admit, I didn’t expect my healer to be so… enchanting."
Lily glanced over at him, her expression flat. "Enchanting? That’s a bit much for someone who just bandaged your leg, don’t you think?"
James is unfazed by her lack of reaction. "Maybe. But it’s true. There’s something about you, Lily—like there’s a spark in you that could light up even the darkest of places."
She arched an eyebrow, unimpressed. "You don’t even know me."
"That’s why I’m intrigued," he said, leaning back in his chair, flashing her a confident grin. "I want to know more."
Lily didn’t even pause in her work, moving efficiently around the room as she gathered herbs and prepared more remedies. "I’m just a healer, James. Not some mystery to unravel."
"Everyone’s a mystery," he countered smoothly. "And you—well, you’re a particularly intriguing one."
She turned to face him, arms crossed. "Is this how you usually talk to people? Charm your way into getting what you want?"
James shrugged, still smiling. "Maybe. But with you, it’s different. I’m not just throwing around compliments—I genuinely want to know you."
Lily’s gaze didn’t waver, but there was a hint of skepticism in her eyes. "And why should I believe that? I’ve met enough people like you to know the pattern."
James leaned forward, his expression softening slightly. "Maybe I’ve followed that pattern before, but it doesn’t mean I always will. Sometimes, you find a reason to stay."
Lily gave a short, dry laugh, shaking her head. "You really don’t give up, do you?"
"Not when I find something worth pursuing," he replied, his tone earnest but still carrying that playful edge.
Lily sighed, going back to her work, her back to him. "Well, you might be in for a disappointment. I’m not interested in being pursued. I have work to do, and people to help. That’s what matters to me."
James watched her silently for a moment, the usual charm dampened by her clear disinterest. Still, something in her words struck a chord. He realized that getting close to her wouldn’t be as simple as he’d initially thought.
"Fair enough," he said after a moment. "I respect that, Lily. But I’d still like to get to know you, even if it’s just as a friend."
She glanced over her shoulder, her expression softening just a fraction. "Friends, huh? Well, that’s a start, I suppose. But don’t think flattery is going to get you anywhere with me, James Potter."
James held up his hands in mock surrender. "No flattery. Just genuine interest in the person who saved me from my clumsiness."
Lily shook her head with a small smile, finally letting amusement show. "We’ll see how long that lasts."
---
Weeks passed since James first stumbled into Lily's life, and their interactions settled into a rhythm. James would often find reasons to visit her infirmary, sometimes with a fresh "injury" or just a vague excuse to chat. The healer would always patch him up or have a conversation, but she never bought into his flirting.
One late afternoon, as the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky in shades of pink and orange, James appeared at the door of Lily's infirmary. This time, he carried a small bouquet of wildflowers, their vibrant colors mirroring the sunset.
"For the healer who's saved me more times than I can count," James said with a playful grin, holding out the bouquet.
Lily looked at the flowers, then back at James, eyebrows raised. "You do realize that bringing flowers to someone who spends her days surrounded by plants is a bit redundant, right?"
James chuckled, not missing a beat. "True, but these aren't just any flowers. I picked them because they reminded me of you. Strong, beautiful, and a little bit wild."
She scoffs but takes the bouquet anyway, setting it on a table. "You never quit, do you?"
"Not when it comes to you," James replied, leaning against the doorframe, his gaze steady on her. "There's something about you, Lily. I can't help but be drawn to you."
She sighed, shaking her head. "You say that now, but I've seen how this works. Travelers come and go, and so do their words. They're charming when they're here, and then they leave without a second thought."
James sensed the truth in her words. He stepped closer, his tone more serious. "I'm not like them. know you don't believe me, but I'm not here just to pass the time. You've made me see things differently."
Lily crossed her arms, her skepticism still evident. "And what happens when the next adventure calls? When the road beckons you away from this little village? What then, James?"
He hesitated, for the first time unsure of how to answer. The truth was, he didn't know. His life as Joveas had always been filled with movement, excitement, and the thrill of new experiences. But now, standing before her, he felt something he hadn't before—a desire to stay, to be a part of something more grounded, more real.
"I don't have all the answers, Lily," his usual bravado gone. "But I do know that right now, there's nowhere else I want to be."
Lily's expression didn't soften. She was still skeptical, her gaze steady and unwavering. "Right now is easy to say. But what happens when you get bored? When you start longing for the next thrill?"
James took a deep breath, considering her words carefully. He had always been a god of action, of movement and thrill. Staying still, committing to one place, one person—it was new territory for him. But the thought of leaving Lily behind, of her thinking he was just another fleeting fancy, made his chest tighten in a way he hadn't expected.
Lily's unwavering gaze bore into him, and for the first time, James—Joveas—felt truly vulnerable. The god who had faced countless challenges, who had leaped into the heart of storms and wrestled beasts of legend, now stood before a mortal woman, uncertain of how to bridge the chasm between them.
"I've never met anyone like you," he began, his voice more earnest. "You see right through me, past the charm and the bravado. And that terrifies me."
Lily blinked, caught off guard by his admission. She opened her mouth to respond, but he continued before she could.
"But it also excites me in a way that nothing else has. The adventures, the thrills—they all pale in comparison to this, to you. I don't know what the future holds, and I can't promise that I'll never want to wander again. But I can promise that I'll be honest with you, that I'll try to be someone worthy of your trust."
Lily studied him for a long moment, her green eyes searching his face for any sign of deception. She found none, only the sincerity of what she thought was a man who was stepping into unfamiliar territory.
Lily sighed. "You're persistent, I'll give you that."
"Take all the time you need," he said, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I'm not going anywhere."
She looked at him, and for the first time, there was a hint of something warmer in her gaze. "We'll see."
---
As the days turned into weeks, James found himself spending more and more time in the small village, his once restless spirit now content to linger in Lily’s presence. He had all but abandoned his usual disguises, choosing instead to maintain the persona of James Potter, a humble traveler. But as his visits grew more frequent, whispers began to spread among the villagers.
They were protective of Lily, the woman who had healed their wounds and soothed their ailments, and they were wary of the stranger who had suddenly become a fixture in her life.
Lily, ever perceptive, noticed the murmurs but paid them no mind. She had grown used to James's presence, even if she would never admit it out loud. There was something comforting about his easy smile and the way he would bring her wildflowers—an endearing habit that, despite herself, she had come to look forward to.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in deep shades of purple and gold, Lily and James sat together outside the infirmary. The day had been long, and the air was heavy with the scent of blooming jasmine. They sat in companionable silence, listening to the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze.
"You’ve been quiet tonight," James observed, glancing at Lily. "Something on your mind?"
Lily sighed softly, her gaze fixed on the darkening sky. "I’ve been thinking about you."
James’s heart skipped a beat at her words, but he kept his voice light. "All good things, I hope?"
She gave him a small smile, but there was a hint of something deeper in her eyes. "I’ve been wondering why you’re really here, James. You say you’re a traveler, but you’ve stayed longer than any traveler I’ve ever known."
James shifted uncomfortably. He knew this question would come eventually, but he wasn’t sure how to answer it without revealing his true identity. "Maybe I found something worth staying for," he said softly, his eyes searching hers for a reaction.
Lily’s gaze didn’t waver. "And what happens when the road calls you again? Will you just leave without a second thought?"
Her words cut deep, reminding James of the delicate balance he was trying to maintain. He was Joveas, a god who could never truly belong in the mortal world, yet here he was, longing to stay. "Lily, I…"
But before he could continue, a voice interrupted them. "Lily? Are you here?"
James and Lily turned to see a tall, rugged man approaching from the path, his face etched with concern. The stranger's presence was both sudden and intrusive, breaking the quiet, introspective moment they had shared.
Lily stood up, her expression shifting to one of surprise and mild irritation. "Oh, it’s you, Remus. What’s the matter?"
Remus, in weather-worn clothing, looked between Lily and James, his gaze scrutinizing. "I was looking for you. There’s a young boy in town who’s taken a bad fall. I thought you’d want to know."
Lily’s demeanor immediately changed to one of professional concern. She turned to James with a quick, apologetic smile. "It seems duty calls. I’ll need to tend to the boy. I’ll be back as soon as I can."
James nodded, though the sudden shift in their conversation left him unsettled. "Of course. Take care of the boy. I’ll be here."
As Lily hurried off, James watched her retreating figure, a swirl of emotions tugging at him. He had wanted to have a conversation with her about his feelings and his true identity, but the intrusion had shattered the moment.
While Lily was away, James paced the small area outside the infirmary, his mind racing. He knew he couldn’t keep up the charade of being a mere traveler forever, but he was caught between his divine nature and his desire for the red-headed mortal. His usual confidence seemed to falter in the face of this new reality.
Hours later, Lily returned, her face tired but resolute. The worry lines on her brow had softened, and she wore a small smile of satisfaction. "The boy will be fine. Just a few bruises and a sprained ankle. Nothing too serious."
James approached her, relieved to see her safe and well. "I’m glad to hear he’s okay.
Lily looked at him carefully. "There’s something about you that I can’t quite figure out."
James’s heart thudded in his chest. "What do you mean?"
She glanced at him, her eyes searching. "You’re different from anyone I’ve ever met. There’s something… otherworldly about you."
He froze, his breath catching in his throat. Had she somehow seen through his disguise? "Lily, I…"
Before he could finish, Lily shook her head, a wry smile tugging at her lips. "Don’t worry, James. I’m not accusing you of being a god or anything. But there’s something about you that feels… out of place here. Like you belong somewhere else."
James forced a smile, though his mind was racing. "Maybe I just have a restless spirit."
"James, I don’t know what brought you here, but I want you to know that you don’t have to stay if you don’t want to. I’ll understand."
Her words were soft, but they cut through him like a knife. James knew she was giving him an out, a way to leave without breaking her heart. But the thought of leaving her, of never seeing her smile or hearing her laugh again, was unbearable. He was selfish, but that was the reputation of the gods.
"Lily," he began, his voice hoarse with emotion. "There’s so much I want to tell you, but I can’t. Not yet."
She nodded slowly as if she had expected that answer. "I hope one day you’ll trust me enough to tell me the truth, James. Whatever it is."
With that, she turned and went inside, leaving James standing alone in the night, the weight of his secret pressing down on him like never before.
---
The days that followed were tense, each interaction between James and Lily tinged with the unspoken truths between them. James continued to visit her, unable to stay away, but the ease of their earlier conversations was gone, replaced by a cautious distance that neither could quite bridge.
One evening, after another quiet day spent at the infirmary, James wandered alone into the forest. He needed space to think, to clear his mind of the confusion that had settled over him like a fog. The trees loomed tall and silent around him, their branches swaying gently in the evening breeze.
As he walked deeper into the forest, the sound of rustling leaves caught his attention. He turned, half-expecting to see a deer or another creature, but instead, he was met with the sight of a tall, imposing figure emerging from the shadows.
It was a man, or at least, he appeared to be a man. But James recognized him immediately—his broad shoulders, the gleam of his eyes that reflected the light of the stars above. This was no ordinary mortal.
"Ares," James said, his voice low and tense. "What are you doing here?"
The god of war smirked, his presence commanding and filled with barely restrained power.
"Joveas," he greeted, his tone mocking. "Or should I say, James Potter? You've been playing the mortal for quite some time now."
James’s heart raced as he faced the god. He had hoped to keep his true identity hidden from the other gods, but it seemed that his time was running out. "What do you want, Ares?"
Ares stepped closer, his smirk fading into a serious expression. "The others have noticed your absence, Joveas. Zeus is growing impatient, wondering where the god of bravery has gone. I’m here to remind you of your duties."
James clenched his fists, his mind flashing to Lily, to the life he had built in the village. "I haven’t abandoned my duties."
"Really?" Ares raised an eyebrow, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you’ve been playing house with a mortal woman, completely forgetting who you are."
James bristled at the accusation. "You don’t understand. It’s not like that."
"Isn’t it?" Ares’s eyes narrowed. "What do you think will happen when she finds out the truth? When she learns that you’ve been lying to her this whole time? Mortals don’t take kindly to being deceived by gods, Joveas."
The words struck a nerve, and James felt a wave of guilt wash over him. He knew Ares was right, but the thought of losing Lily, of hurting her, was too much to bear. "She doesn’t have to know."
Ares shook his head, his expression hardening. "You can’t hide forever. Sooner or later, the truth will come out, and when it does, it will destroy her. You’re a fool if you think otherwise."
James looked away, his mind in turmoil. He had known from the start that this couldn’t last, that his love for Lily was doomed from the beginning. But now, hearing it spoken aloud by Ares, the reality of it hit him like a hammer.
"You have to choose," Ares said, his voice cold and unforgiving. "Either you return to Olympus and fulfill your duties, or you stay here and face the consequences of your actions. But know this, Joveas: if you choose to stay, you’ll bring nothing but pain to that mortal."
James closed his eyes, the weight of the decision crushing him. He had never felt so torn, so lost. On one hand, he had his duty as a god, a role he had played for centuries. But on the other, he had Lily, the woman who had captured his heart in a way he had never imagined.
When he opened his eyes, Ares was gone, leaving him alone in the darkening forest. James stood there for a long time, the silence pressing in on him as he struggled with the choice before him.
Finally, he turned and made his way back to the village, his steps slow and heavy. He knew what he had to do, but the thought of it filled him with dread.
The night seemed endless as James walked back to the village, his mind in turmoil. The weight of Ares’s words lingered, each step feeling heavier than the last. The forest, once a place of solace, now seemed to mock him with its quiet.
As he neared Lily’s infirmary, the sky above was painted with dark hues, the stars obscured by clouds. His heart pounded with the burden of the decision he had yet to make. The reality of leaving Lily, of possibly hurting her beyond repair, was a cruel contrast to the duty he was supposed to uphold.
Entering the village, he could see the warm glow of the infirmary windows, a stark reminder of what he stood to lose. He hesitated outside the door, the emotional weight almost physically pushing him back. Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the door, the familiar scents of herbs and firewood greeting him.
Lily was at her desk, her back to him as she finished organizing supplies. The peaceful scene was a sharp contrast to the storm raging inside him. He could tell she was exhausted, yet there was a quiet strength in her posture.
"Lily," he said softly, stepping inside.
She turned, her expression immediately shifting from tired to guarded. "James. You’re back. I thought you were taking a walk."
"I was," he replied, struggling to find the right words. "But something came up."
Her eyes narrowed. "Something came up? You look like you’ve been wrestling with a storm. What’s wrong?"
James hesitated, but the words of Ares echoed in his mind. He could see the truth in Lily’s eyes, the way she saw through facades and pretense. He couldn’t hide from her any longer.
"I need to talk to you," he said finally, his voice trembling slightly.
Lily set down the vial she was holding and crossed her arms, her gaze piercing. "This sounds serious. What’s going on?"
James took a deep breath, steeling himself. "Lily, there’s something I’ve been keeping from you. Something important."
Her eyes widened, a flicker of apprehension crossing her face. "What do you mean?"
"I’m not who I’ve said I am," James started, his voice heavy. "I’m not just a traveler. I’m… I’m Joveas, a god from Olympus."
The words hung in the air between them, and Lily’s expression shifted from confusion to anger in a heartbeat. She took a step back, her eyes flashing with disbelief.
"A god?" she repeated, her voice rising.
As James's words settled in the room, the silence between them seemed to stretch endlessly. Lily's eyes widened her expression a mixture of shock and anger.
"A god?" she repeated, her voice trembling with disbelief. She took a step back, her eyes darting around the room as if trying to make sense of what she had just heard. "You’re telling me you’ve been lying to me this whole time? That you’re not who you said you were?"
James nodded slowly, his heart aching at the sight of her distress. "Yes, I’m Joveas. I’ve been living among mortals, using the name James Potter as a disguise."
Lily shook her head, her hands trembling as she tried to process the revelation. "But why? Why would you lie to me like this? Everything you’ve said, everything you’ve done… it was all a lie?"
"No," James said quickly, stepping closer, though he could see her pulling away. "It wasn’t all a lie. My feelings for you are real. My interest in your life, and your work, is all genuine. I never meant to hurt you."
She looked at him, her green eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and hurt. "Genuine? How can anything you’ve said or done be genuine when you’ve been hiding who you really are? How can I believe anything you’ve told me now?"
James winced at the hurt in her voice. "I didn’t mean to deceive you. I was fascinated by you, by your kindness and strength. I wanted to be near you, but I never meant for it to go this far."
Lily’s face was a mix of hurt and fury. "You think you can just waltz in here, pretending to be someone you’re not, and then tell me the truth like it’s nothing? You’ve been playing games with my life!"
James reached out to her, but she recoiled, her face filled with hurt and anger. "Lily, please, I didn’t mean for this to happen. I'm sorry. I never wanted to fall in love with you, but I couldn’t help it."
"Love?" she spat, her voice shaking with emotion. "Love is what you call this? You think a few months of playing at being human is enough to justify lying to me? To make me believe in something that wasn't real?"
James felt a sharp pang of guilt, knowing that she was right. He had deceived her, and now he was paying the price. "I’m sorry," he repeated, his voice hoarse. "I never wanted to hurt you."
But she wasn't done. "Did you think that if you pretended to be a simple traveler, it would somehow erase your godhood? That it would make this deception any less painful?" Lily’s voice was a blend of frustration and hurt. "You came here, pretending to be someone else, and now you expect me to just accept that it was all for the sake of ‘love’?"
James clenched his fists, struggling to find the right words. "I didn’t know how to tell you. I thought maybe, just maybe, if I could show you who I really am, if you could see beyond the god and see me, you might understand-"
Lily shook her head. "You’ve taken away any chance we had of ever being real together. How can I trust you now? How can I believe that anything you said or did was genuine?"
James’s shoulders sagged, the weight of her words crashing over him like a wave. "I know I’ve ruined everything. I can’t undo the past, and I can’t change what’s happened. All I can do is ask for your forgiveness, though I know I don’t deserve it."
Lily turned away, her shoulders shaking with silent sobs. "Just... just go, James. I can't look at you right now."
The words cut through him like a knife, but he knew he couldn't argue. He had made his choice, and now he had to live with the consequences.
With a heavy heart, James turned and walked away, leaving Lily standing alone in the darkness, the sound of her quiet sobs echoing in his ears. As he disappeared into the night, tears slipped down his cheek, the first he had shed in centuries. He had made his choice, but it felt like he had lost everything.
The days that followed were agonizing for both James and Lily. James retreated to the edges of the forest, unable to leave but unwilling to face Lily after the pain he had caused. He watched from a distance as she went about her life, her smile gone, replaced by a haunted expression that broke his heart every time he saw it.
Lily, for her part, tried to continue as if nothing had changed, but the weight of James’s betrayal was too much to bear. She had fallen in love with him, only to find out that he wasn’t even who he claimed to be. The man she had opened her heart to was a lie, a god playing at being mortal.
She couldn’t understand why he had done it, why he had chosen to deceive her. But no matter how much she tried to forget him, her heart wouldn’t let her. She missed him, even though she knew she shouldn’t. Every time she saw the wildflowers he used to bring her, her heart ached with the memory of what they had shared.
One evening, as Lily sat alone in the infirmary, tending to her herbs, a soft knock at the door startled her. She looked up, her heart leaping with hope, but when she opened the door, it wasn’t James standing there.
Instead, it was a man with a rugged look, his face marked by the passage of time but his eyes still sharp and full of intensity. He wore a slightly worn leather jacket and had an air of both casualness and seriousness. "Lily Evans?" he asked, his voice carrying a rough, yet warm tone.
"Yes, that’s me," Lily replied, her curiosity piqued by the stranger’s sudden appearance.
The man stepped inside, his gaze sweeping over the room before settling on Lily. "I’m here to talk to you about James."
Lily’s heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name. "What about him?"
The man’s expression turned somber, a shadow of sadness passing over his face. "I heard you’ve been hurt by him. By the truth of who he is?"
Lily nodded slowly, tears welling up in her eyes. "I thought I knew him, but it turns out I didn’t know him at all."
The man rubbed the back of his neck, looking uncomfortable but determined. "Yeah, well, James—he’s not exactly who you thought he was. He’s… well, he’s a god. It’s complicated."
Lily blinked in confusion, struggling to grasp his words. "Why lie to me? Why pretend to be someone he’s not?"
The man shifted uncomfortably, searching for the right words. "Look, gods live a really long time and carry a lot of baggage. When James met you, he was scared—scared of what loving a mortal would mean, of losing you. So he hid behind a lie, thinking it would keep him safe."
Lily shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks. "But he hurt me. He broke my heart."
"I know," the man said gently, his voice softening. "But he’s been hurting too. He’s been watching over you, too ashamed to come near."
Lily looked down, torn between the pain of betrayal and the lingering love she still felt. "What should I do?"
The man gave her a sympathetic look. "That’s up to you. But remember, love is always a risk. Sometimes it’s worth taking a chance, even if you’ve been hurt."
With that, the man turned and left, leaving Lily alone in the quiet of the infirmary, her thoughts a tumultuous mix of emotions.
That night, Lily lay awake in bed, her mind racing with everything the woman had said. She couldn’t deny that she still loved James—Joveas—despite the pain he had caused. But could she forgive him? Could she trust him again?
As dawn approached, Lily made her decision. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she couldn’t let fear hold her back. She had to know if their love was real if it could survive the truth.
The next day, Lily ventured to the edge of the forest, the place where she knew James had been staying. The air was crisp and cool, and the forest seemed unusually silent as if holding its breath. She found him sitting on a fallen log, his posture slumped, his head buried in his hands. He looked more lost and broken than she had ever seen him, a stark contrast to the confident, enigmatic figure she once knew.
“James,” she called softly, her voice trembling with a mix of hope and trepidation.
He looked up slowly, his eyes widening in surprise and a flicker of hope as he saw her standing there. “Lily…” His voice was barely a whisper, filled with both longing and regret.
She took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. “I need to know something. Did you ever truly love me, or was it all just a game to you?”
James stood up abruptly, his heart pounding fiercely against his ribcage. “Lily, it was never a game. I love you more than anything. That’s the truth, the one thing I couldn’t lie about.”
Tears welled up in Lily’s eyes, and she fought to keep her composure. “Then why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t you trust me?”
“I was afraid,” James admitted. “Afraid that if you knew the truth, you would hate me. That you would see me as just another god who thinks he can toy with mortal lives. But I was wrong. I see that now.”
Lily stepped closer, her heart aching with a tumultuous mix of emotions. The anger and pain she had felt were still there, but now they were mingled with something softer, something hopeful. “You did hurt me, James. But I... I love you. And if you’re willing to be honest with me, to trust me, then maybe we can make this work.”
James felt his heart swelling with love for the woman standing before him. Her willingness to consider a future together despite everything gave him strength. “Lily, I swear I’ll never lie to you again. I’ll do whatever it takes to earn your trust. I’ve been a fool, but I promise I’ll change.”
Lily searched his eyes, seeing the sincerity in them, the raw vulnerability that he had been hiding. His gaze was open and earnest, a stark contrast to the guarded demeanor he had maintained. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, that there would be challenges ahead, but she was willing to try. Because despite everything, she loved him, and she believed that their love was worth fighting for.
“Then let’s take it one step at a time,” she said softly, reaching out to take his hand. “No more secrets, no more lies. Just us, facing whatever comes together. We’ll face the challenges, whatever they may be, together.”
James squeezed her hand gently, a smile breaking through the sorrow that had clouded his heart. “Together,” he agreed, his voice filled with a newfound determination. For the first time in a long while, he felt as though he had found something worth fighting for, worth risking everything for.
As they stood there, hand in hand, the first rays of dawn broke through the trees, casting a warm, golden light over them. It felt like a new beginning, a chance to build something real, something lasting. The world seemed to hold its breath as if acknowledging the significance of the moment.
Their gazes locked, and for a heartbeat, everything else faded away. Lily’s breath caught in her throat as James’s eyes softened with an emotion so deep, it seemed to transcend words. Slowly, almost as if drawn by an invisible force, he leaned in closer. Lily felt her heart race, her nerves tingling with anticipation.
When their lips finally met, it was a tender, hesitant kiss, filled with the weight of everything unspoken and the promise of what could be. James’s touch was gentle, his lips moving against hers with a reverent delicacy. Lily responded with equal tenderness, her arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him closer as she savored the sweetness of their reunion.
The kiss deepened, becoming more fervent as if they were trying to make up for all the lost time, all the pain and misunderstandings. It was a kiss of forgiveness, of healing, and of a shared hope for the future.
When they finally pulled apart, their foreheads resting together, they both breathed heavily, eyes locked in a shared, silent vow. They were no longer two separate beings navigating their paths; they were partners, united in their quest to build a future together.
