I definitely think I've improved dramatically since then :))

I like the colors better in the original, but the perspective and cleanliness is dramatically improved lol

The lore behind this drawing is that I always ate up @/ectoblastic’s idea/au that after Danny moves in with Vlad in TUE, he raids his wine cabinet to cope which leads him extremely drunk and sick in the end (we’ve all been there tho 💔)

This is now the second detailed piece that includes a background where Danny is having a horrible time involving his own blood-ectoplasm situation that I’ve drawn.

[The first one that I made I ended up putting into the college portfolio that won me a scholarship of 72k to SAIC ;) ]

Elaborating on that tho, the scholarship was not actually enough for me to be able to afford to go to the school, so it’s not really the brag that I was trying to make it out to seem

Art college is so freaking expensive man. I ended up choosing to go to one instate just because the tuition is that cheaper

But my school starts in like two weeks and I have never been more excited!!!!! I can’t wait to actually go to art school!!! I’m gonna learn (hopefully lol) so much :33

But I’ve been rewatching TUE and I am just obsessed with this idea of Vlad having to comfort a grieving Danny while similarly grieving (hence what’s up with this piece lolz)

Yes yes, I too am very sad and annoyed that Trump is not dead, I got all breathlessly excited and queued up "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" to be ready for a great announcement, and then I didn't even get to play it. It's a huge bummer.

However, step two of this huge bummer is NOT "Oh no and now his fandom will be EVEN MORE ANNOYING, we have basically already lost :((((" That is the devil speaking. Step two is to say "Ah heck, his fandom is going to be even more annoying, better FUCKING VOTE AND MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW ALSO VOTES" Stop your worthless defeatism, stop your stupid pessimism, stop trying to GIVE UP AND SURRENDER just cause one weird thing happened.

No one but me cares about this, but the downfall in Lego Monkie Kid is seriously one of the most disappointing things in the world

Lego Monkie Kid was the thing that fueled my special interest in Legos! I have spent over a thousand dollars buying LMK sets over the past few years, and I still plan to buy more!!

But ever since season 3 ended, all content made for LMK has just been disappointing

Season 4 was a Trainwreck of terrible pacing and awkward dialogue (I could go on about this for DAYS)

At the very least it was still animated by Flying Bark Studios which meant it still looked phenomenal

But now with the season 5 trailer out, it is clear that the one thing LMK still had going for it has been taken away (it's amazing animation)

It was so unique BECAUSE of its animation, that was the thing to get me into it in the first place

But now that the story is bad, and the animation is ass, there is no reason for me to continue watching it which is BEYOND tragic

The show should have ended after it came to a brilliant end at Season 3

It was three seasons of a prolonged story that finished so nicely

The fact that they are trying to continue it after that is sad

I appreciated the new content at first, but seeing how it lacks the quality it once had, it makes me wish it could end in grace

I will probably end up watching season 5 anyways just to say that I did, but I am NOT happy about it

I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like “this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol” when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every “classical” looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
