I can't stop thinking abt kitty hybrid user and some big cat hybrid gojo (snow leopard, tiger, lion, etc). Suguru originally had hybrid Gojo as a pet, but then found kitty reader and decided to adopt them, and the moment Gojo sees them, he instantly decides that reader is his mate, and just follows them around like a dumb puppy. He'll cling onto reader and groom them all day, licking their fur and their face and not stopping even when reader complains or when Suguru tries to step in. Gojo is super super possesive of reader, and insists on eating, sleeping and bathing with reader, and will start shredding cushions or other things if denied. He's a big cat, so his claws do some serious damage to furniture, so Suguru has no choice but to give in if he doesn't want to spend everything in his bank account to repair the damage. I'd imagine Gojo and reader would have a similar dynamic to your puppygirl and wolf Gojo fics, but Gojo is the one teasing and getting all over reader. Suguru has you in another room letting you get familiar with Gojos scent and also letting him get familiar with yours, Gojo really won’t leave the locked door you’re behind alone he’s constantly coming near it to sniff and try to unlock it, Suguru has to guide him to get away from it every single time.

When he does meet you a warmth blooms within his chest, women are such a rarity for Satoru especially other hybrids, you don’t come from the same family as him but he’s so obsessed.

He insists that he have an hour licking session of him using his slimy tongue to clean you even though you really don’t need it! Everytime you try to pry him off in a whiny tone he’s hearing none of it. It gets to the point where you have to whine for a suguru to help you: he does but Satoru has the meanest fucking expression on his face when you’re pried from his arms. You’re so right about Gojo scratching couches with his sharp claws in retailiation, he gets soo clingy with you, so angry when Suguru separates you it’s so bad that like you said Suguru doesn’t want to deal with him ruining expensive things around the house, that doesn’t mean he’ll let Satoru do whatever he wants with you there are some limits.

Most of the time you’re nice and pliant in Satoru’s lap, you don’t fight back when he carries you around the house simply just letting the huge tiger do what he pleases.

You know something I've noticed? Yeah, Nifty is your typical yandere but can we talk about Vox? You technically don't even have to request him as a yandere unless you want it to be romanticized toward you and/or further explored because according to ALL of the recent regular Vox x readers (and the show itself), he clearly has many traits of one especially toward Alastor. He acts like a toxic, jealous ex 😂 He cyberstalks people for one, he's manipulative, insecure (this is where possessiveness and jealousy tends to stem from), doesn't take rejection well as we heard from Al, is capable of being obsessed with someone, and an overall control freak. He wants to keep the Vees' image and everything looking perfect. Imagine this guy being attached to you. An absolute nightmare. Never any privacy, eyes and ears everywhere, can teleport with or without a screen, blackmail is 100% on the table as well as other tactics, and constant validation for him whether your relationship is forced or not. What sucks about the last part is that it's a double-edged sword. If you fuel his ego, he's enabled but if you don't give him enough attention, he'll try harder and tighten his hold on you. So while Val absolutely horrible, it's like you can never win with Vox. Not when you don't have equal power and he's stated to be very strong. Especially these days, tech is an absolute must since even jobs heavily rely on it. Life and the afterlife here is much harder without a smartphone. He's literally a TV. He wants to be watched and noticed.

I don’t have any strong inclinations either way but if I had to choose I’d have to say it’s more their own internal/personal bias’s coming out rather than something they were expecting the audience to pick up on and maybe think about. And the only reason I say this is because the identities/status of the people she killed were never really explicitly stated (at least from what i can immediately recall of the episodes) or brought up again.

like it’s notttt rlly brought up throughout the episode aside from just learning that those people are dead and she killed them? like idk nothing about it rlly inclines me to believe it was anything more than subconscious or latent beliefs in the writers because I do think we were supposed to empathize with her so it does make sense in that sort of lens that the writers chose “criminals” or whatever to kinda “soften the blow”, if u will, of her having killed people?

I have mixed feelings about it, because I think the previous associations the writers have made with Sam and class (as well as Dean and class—for example—in 2.20 "What Is And What Should Never Be") make it very possible it's intentional. Sam justifies Amy's actions partly based on class, and Dean condemns her actions partly for the same reason—that she doesn't get to kill people and get away with it just because they're beneath her on the social ladder. It seems so obvious that one wants to assume it's very intentionally and purposefully done.

At the same time, you are right that the presentation of the story—told through the mouth of a cop and a few newspaper clippings—is heavily biased against the victims. The cop says the third victim deserved it because he had been in and out of jail for petty offenses, and Sam calls him a "low life". You have to work very hard to capture the story of the second victim in the newspaper article. You really can't capture the story on those pages without really sitting down to read, paused on the correct frames. A prominent part of the article is focusing on the victim being a heroin addict who had relapsed and was high when he went to the park. He was vulnerable and "in the wrong place at the wrong time". What gets me the most though is the prominent headline for the first victim: "Body found in park, victim known to police". What a gross way to poison the well. The barely visible subheading reads: "Man had been arrested multiple times, had outstanding warrant". (Again—these multiple arrests indicate petty offenses rather than felonies—probably another addict). When Amy makes an attempt on another victim in the park (only to be stopped by Sam), the target is drunk and fumbling with his keys, trying to get into his locked car. So in every case, the presentation not just from Amy and Sam and the cop but the episode as a whole attempts to bias the audience against the victims, trying to paint them as people who shouldn't be missed, who deserved what they got, and/or whose vulnerability was to blame for what happened to them.

Amy seems to target people who are high or drunk in the park at night because they're vulnerable and alone. I think some fans jump to frame her choice of targets as vigilantism that helps assuage her guilt, but none of those people deserved to die—and it really isn't vigilantism—she's simply following her own mother's shrewd M.O.—you target people who are alone and whose situational awareness is impeded by substances and whose deaths the cops won't put much effort into investigating because they don't see them as victims.

I also think this episode tries very hard to paint Dean in a negative light even prior to him killing Amy. Bobby insists Dean's concern over Sam's well-being isn't warranted when it is perfectly warranted. (We've seen Bobby brush off Dean's reasonable concerns before in 6.06). Then Sam pops off, cutting Dean off to throw a bunch of nonsense in his mouth, and conflating himself with Amy in an absolutely ridiculous way. Dean's voice is suppressed (which is also imo—a prominent feature of the Dabb era in general later in the series). On top of that, this certainly isn't the only episode where Dabb and Loflin's most overt messages try to bias the audience against Dean.

Ellie and the reader broke up like a week ago because of Ellie’s more toxic and possessive traits making the reader feel suffocated. Maybe they break up because of a big fight and Ellie gets mean or Ellie got seriously jealous over something very small. I just want to see Ellie be a wreck and wanting to cry every time she sees the reader, and then they reconnect and forgive each other. Like it was their first big fight in their relationship and first time they have to try to change for the better.

you and ellie had been broken up for a week, and though it was only seven days it felt like absolute hell. you had become so dependent on ellie, you ate together, you slept together, you showered together and now…you did all of those things by yourself. just within this week everything you did reminded you of ellie. the blanket on your couch that she hated because it was “scratchy”, and even your bed smelled like her.

you hadn’t left the house within the week, dina had been bringing you some food and her company. as dina brought you dinner last night she mentioned a party, and offered you an invite. you used to love parties, and so did ellie. well, she loved the being there with you. a sinking feeling washes over you as you remember the last party you went to. ellie had gotten jealous over some bartender that was serving you, giving you free drinks. it seemed like you couldn’t do anything without ellie thinking about it suggestively.

you get free drinks? you were flirting. you get a compliment? ellie wanted to kick their teeth in. someone touches you? ellie wanted to rip their fucking hands off. it all felt too much, like you couldn’t do anything. it was suffocating.

she made you two leave early, even though you were having fun. you had never seen her so pissed, and you tried and tried to comfort her. tell her you only think of her, but she wasn’t buying it.

ellie knew she had an issue with jealousy and possession, but when it came to you she couldn’t care less if she had a problem. and that in it self was the problem. that fight in her truck was the last straw for both of you. it was over.

part of you wanted to sit and rot on your couch, because that was comfortable. another part of you knew to get over this breakup was to get out of your comfort zone. hell, who knows maybe you’ll meet someone.

as you walk through the door to the party dina pulls you close, arm around your shoulder. “ellie might be here…but you don’t have to talk to her if you’re not ready.” she whispers into your ear over the music.

your heart beats faster at the possibility of seeing ellie, were you ready? was this the right choice? was she ready to talk about it? all of those questions suddenly felt small and insignificant as you laid eyes on ellie. skinny jeans and her flannel hiked up around her elbows. her tattoo on display as she took a hit from the joint in between her fingers. her gaze connected with yours and look passed between you two. you shook the feeling and followed dina to the other side of the house.

about ten or more shots in, you’re dancing with dina. dina grabbing your hips and moving with them. you laughed and sang along to the song. dina whispered something in your ear about grabbing a drink but you were too caught up in dancing to really care what she said.

hands grabbed your hips from behind, pulling you to theirs. “i’ve been wanting to talk to you all night.” you hear the familiar voice hit your ears. her warm breath fanning your neck sent a chill of relief down your spine. even when you two weren’t technically together, she was comforting. “ellie,” you sigh softly and she rests her head on your shoulder as you two dance back and forth.

“i missed you.” she mumbles and you nod your head. “i’ve missed you too but we need a break,” you turn to face her and she keeps her hands laced around your waist. when you see her it’s like everything felt okay for a second, just for a moment it was like nothing had happened between you two. “i know i messed up, okay? i know i…i know i get really jealous and it’s a problem.” she rushes out and you listen quietly. “and i’m so sorry i ruined your night, i just…i can’t stand to see you with anyone else. this can’t be it between us, right?” you can hear the pain in her voice, and the slight redness under her eyes.

she’d been crying, and so had you. you didn’t know what to say. you didn’t want this to be over, it couldn’t be over. you purse your lips and look at her, “ellie, i can’t be with someone who overthinks everything i do. i can’t live like that. how would you feel if i said you were flirting with someone who was very clearly one sidedly flirting with you? i would never do that to you, and it hurts that you think i would.” you speak passionately and the corners of her lips quirk into a frown.

“i’d hate it. and i don’t think you’d cheat on me…i just don’t think i deserve you. you’re so good and i’m not. everybody would be lucky to have you in their life, and i guess i’m just selfish because i want to keep you all to myself.” she admits and your hands find the sides of her neck, your thumb running back and forth over her neck. “els, you are so good. you’re a good person. i want to keep you all to myself but i know when to be jealous or not.” you sigh and she nods her head. “i know, and im working on that. im going to be better for you, because i want you. i’ll do whatever it takes, okay?” you nod your head and pull her in.

you lay a soft kiss on her head, “i still love you, idiot.” you hum softly and she laughs. “oh i know you do, duh.”

i just finished reading chapter 50 of jtta and oh my gosh. i don’t even know where to start.

jtta is SUCH an amazing work of art that my words fall short.. it’s rlly the best fanfiction i have EVER read and i’m sure it’ll continue to be my Number One forever. your writing style is absolutely beautiful and your choice of words is IMMACULATE. the way you describe certain scenes truly baffles me everytime like,, there’s people out there who are really able to write like this?? they can magically plant a mental imagine w colors and all in my head from??? Words only??? u r so amazing omf

i also have to say that ur work has rlly helped me with expanding my own vocabulary — i had to look up a A LOT of words (though i’m sure i forgot them all by now..) but it was always so fun to learn new stuff!

your mind fascinates me sm bc?? when i was reading some scenes from jtta i rlly thought ‘man.. if i was the author i’d have no idea how to solve this..’ but u managed to surprise me every. single. time. u outdid urself each time and my jaw legit dropped at some scenes bc i could’ve NEVER EVER thought of that,,,

i remember reading the prologue for the first time and akane referring to maria/her disability as "special needs" and i was wondering if that was a characterization thing? like smth that brings insight re: ur version of akane. idk i found it an interesting choice of words (i'm not offended btw, just wondering why for Analysis reasons)

another thing is the fragment where phi asks akane to kill her .. from my understanding of akane, i don't see her as someone to hesitate as she is even willing to put those closest to her (aoi and junpei) in danger and even kill them. phi and akane aren't close (tho idk how true that is in zwg) so i figured she would be more willing to confirm her resolve. nothing wrong w that, i was just wondering what went thru ur mind when u made that decision for her character in zwg!! i rlly enjoy it so far and i cant help but wonder abt how ppl write these characters as someone who also writes for zero escape

so for the first, i don’t have a definitive answer for you, but i could bullshit one now! it’s one of 1) i hadn’t gotten into the swing of things and captured Akane’s voice so i just used generic inoffensive terminology; b) i hadn’t yet decided whether to call Maria’s specific slot in the program the Special Needs or Disability and never went back to fix it (which is why Disability is capitalized in a later paragraph); or iv) it actually is in character—Akane had adopted the language that everyone used to describe her situation in the Between Years (The Sister With Special Needs)

as to the second, zwg Akane is actually characterized as completely unwilling to personally harm her allies unless she has no other option (and it was specifically noted in Game Theory that she wouldn’t under any circumstances kill Aoi or Junpei as sacrifice to gain further access into the facility, so Zero didn’t even bother). she has anxiety about being in a dangerous place alone without allies—she only went in the first place because of the assumption that even if she was walking into a trap, she was walking into a trap with her brother, two espers powerful enough to Shift 45 years, and Junpei. two people she trusts implicitly, and two people whose power she trusts and could assure her that another version of her has made contact with them.

randomly killing one of them for seemingly no reason other than ‘because i said so’ made her. hesitate. (and even refuse in one timeline.)

oooh. this one's tough but i'd have to say donna. i love her to bits and pieces but i feel like i can't nail her internal narration at all. like i know i joke a lot about how dick and donna are alike in a lot of ways but the worst consequence of it is that some of her narration becomes eerily like dick's because donna's relationship to her personhood is soooo fucked up. plus, anytime i use greek references, i feel a whiplash to my teenage percy jackson days which is just... an experience. but one day, i will write the donna au that exists in my head that grapples with the events of blackest night in a more nuanced and fucked up way than jla '06 did— like, i need her to reckon with why she went into her failmarriage (if u discount the marv wolfman self-insertion of it all).

canon-divergence aus can be great when done right. my favs being forced into another dimension or reality where they encounter warped mirrors of people they love and know can also be so fun to read. also rlly fuck with apocalypse and time travel stuff. and medieval settings can be such a delight, too.

the kind of aus i don't enjoy is probably more well defined, tbh. like i can't fuck with ABO stuff at all. with dcu, i don't enjoy most of the civilian setting stuff... like why is dick grayson only and only a barista? for a lot of characters, vigilantism is very deeply tied to their sense of self so it just feels wrong when i come across those. also not into the whole hanahaki or soulmate stuff. i'm also unable to get into the whole mermaid/selkie stuff. no hate to any of these, i just don't vibe with them personally. but also fuck ABO actually.

hahah... my biggest gripe at one point was post-spyral aftermath so i rlly took that thing gandhi said to heart and wrote LBIA. be the change u want to see or whatv! i do enjoy considering character trajectories after blackest night and the return of bruce wayne— i'm constantly pretending n52 didn't happen.

as for the more specific stuff, lian's death is prolly one. like i know she's back in current comics but i didn't rlly put in the effort to follow the shoes arc properly bc i'm always thinking lian should've never 'died' at all. cry for justice and rise of arsenal always have me conflicted bc on one hand, i can see how roy and jade losing lian can be a very very compelling thing narratively but my heart cannot get with the program at all.

also, more conversations between dick, donna and roy, esp after her resurrection!!! like titans v2 was just such a letdown bc we should have gotten to see donna react to how badly they both took her death. i know we briefly get an insight into it in the resurrection of donna troy but i want actual reckoning after she comes back from the stuff in countdown.

I wanted to somewhat show Y/N being a good person again since we’ve seen so many chapters of her struggling and overcoming her faults and traumas. She’s definitely not a perfect person but she can be very kind at times and she is canonically super good with kids so I thought showing her and falco bonding and her doing something for someone other than herself would balance out the heaviness of everything post-athyae. falco is so sweet I actually love him sooo much but I was lowkey dying writing him in this chapter because he’s just so hopeless 😭 I would like to add that in the running scene Y/N is the one jogging…my man falco is SPRINTING to keep up with her 😩 up to interpretation whether it’s because “slow” for Y/N is fast for like anyone else or because falco is just really not athletically blessed.

I feel like friedrich being the jaw titan is the most obvious choice. He’s way too slippery (does that even make sense?? Idk how else to describe it) to be the armored titan and way too independent to be the colossal, he could be the cart but tbh Y/N just exemplifies the cart to me I couldn’t see anyone else inheriting it, colt being the next beast has been a thing since like the first chapters of the fic, and he just…is not a girl so I can’t imagine him as the female titan.

I won’t spoil the trio’s fates, but writing that scene knowing their futures was definitely painful. I’m trying to write and update more often so you don’t have to wait years to find out what happens to them because there is SO much planned for the future of this story. I’ve been struggling because the past two mini arcs (which were titled return to liberio and warrior’s welcome if you were wondering) have been the hardest to write so far. They’re a lot more introspective and focused on Y/N’s mental development, conflict, and recovery, so it was a lot of just “people visiting houses” with inner monologues as opposed to plot and external conflict. The next mini arc is very different though so I’m excited to get to that!! One more chapter of warrior’s welcome and then I’m finally free 😭

I ADOREEEE FOUND FAMILY!! That’s why endure and SitH are my favs, I feel like they both have their own versions of the found family tropes that make me feel so 😫 but the trio and the endure crew are definitely super different. like the endure found family is just a bunch of siblings (case in point Y/N and Jean) but the trio defies categorization. They’re in love but they’re best friends but they’re somehow more than that?? Idk their dynamic isn’t something I’ve written before but it’s definitely one of the most interesting I think!! (I’d say it’s my favorite but my favorites are endure jean and y/n, endure eren and y/n, and promise y/n and tullia, with an honorary mention to endure y/n and tullia)

nooo pls keep going this is so interesting and so well thought out and i’m hanging onto every word u say, trust u clocked me in this bc i was so hell bent on seeing the tension between the og oliver and felix even tho ik it’s all in my head.

but another reason i didn’t rlly comment on f!oliver and felix is cuz, as u said felix obviously doesn’t have close relationships w women!!! like maybe aside from his mom and venetia deep down, every woman we see him with is just another of his ‘toys’ as venetia puts it. i don’t know if we ever got her name but the girl oliver hooked up with when felix ditched her is a prime example of that! almost all of his interactions w women revolved around sexuality unless they were in his family. we also never really hear of him dating so i think emerald establishes in the movie w many scenes felix has always been more of a playboy to than a lover of women. like yes he’s straight but i think he’d be miserable married and i think he’d only do it bc he felt like he had to.

but that is what went into my thinking about felix, i think with those values felix isn’t going to see a relationship w venetia as a threat if it were a woman because felix probably isn’t going to ecknowledge the gravity of it because he has no reference for understanding wlw relationships except for what is in popular media. and especially in the 2000’s the only wlw representation that most people were seeing was a sensationalized version of it, made for the sake of men, and usually these acts would still be performed by straight women. (i’m thinking making out with your girlfriends in a bar so guys can watch, ‘i kissed a girl’ by katy perry era, and all the fake lesbian p*rn that was gaining to much traction back then). felix can see this lack of agency not only in venetia but in f!oliver and i think that would affect the way he sees the validity of the relationship and if anything he’s going to brush it off as ‘experimentation’ and just wouldn’t believe it to be as serious as a woman and man or an mlm relationship. almost as though he believes that men should like women, so it makes sense for a woman to be interested in women. because that’s what he would chalk it up to, and interest or curiosity rather than a desire or a choice to be together.

but if felix had invited a woman to saltburn, it’s not going to be because they’re just that close, but because he’s interested in her. that was kind of my thinking w farleigh, because a huge theme of saltburn is how much farleigh depends on the catton’s and based on the conversation they had about ‘the begging bowl’ i could see felix being upset at yet another thing farleigh is taking from them without asking. and i think the fact that felix perceives farleigh as having total agency in even abusive situations, he’d see farleigh as being in complete control of taking one of his ‘toys’ from him rather than farleigh being manipulated by f!oliver.

i think felix is a very interesting character to think about in this situation because with m!oliver we get to see felix through his eyes, and even though mostly we see felix as a character who’s put on a pedestal because of his kindness towards oliver, we still get glimpses of the fact felix is still racist, misogynistic, and classist. with f!oliver i think we’d get to delve into those darker sides of felix a bit, and he wouldn’t have the cleaner image of him we get from m!oliver.

i think the chase theory is really interesting with f!oliver because it would changes oliver’s motivations so much like you said. like oliver’s plan was kind of just, to be there as much as he could until felix just kind of accepted him. like as long as oliver could get his foot in the door he knew he could make things work (at least for a little while) i think an f!oliver has the chance to take an entirely different approach, playing hard to get. doing things they know will make felix want them and driving him crazy because he just can’t put his finger on what he needs to do to win them over.

and i think f!oliver’s manipulation of venetia could’ve been so different because m!oliver preys on venetia’s need for male validation, so in a way, it’s not about him at all. he’s just a man who happens to be on his knees for her. now hear me out, i think venetia would’ve been jealous of f!oliver and felix more than anything. i think for her, inviting boys is one thing because it’s expected, but i know she’d have such a hard time with her family fawning over the fact felix finally brought a girl home.

she knows he doesn’t deserve the respect he’s getting (especially from his male elders), like she knew m!oliver wasn’t getting the respect he deserved from felix and it would just be worse for f!oliver. i think f!oliver could prey on that, that maybe if venetia shows her the attention she gets from felix then the catton’s will finally respect her like they respect felix. or she’d just be better than felix simply by treating f!oliver better than her brother does. they’d be able to carry the relationship longer and i think we could even see some emotional entanglement. god this and then the new layers of nuance it would provide in the tub scene??? i think it would tear me in two.

honestly i couldn’t really see f!oliver being obsessed with felix like in the original because he’s not going to have that ‘bro’ bond with them. but i very much think a f!oliver would be able to use their sexuality against venetia and farleigh in ways m!oliver couldn’t. especially the point about farleigh and white women’s tears. i mean getting him kicked out of saltburn could’ve gone sooo differently, and you know none of it would be recorded anywhere because people of that financial caliber prefer to take care of things ‘in house’.

like a lot of things you mentioned would make it so much harder for a woman to infiltrate saltburn in the same way m!oliver did, but they’d have so many abilities he didn’t, i am obsessed with pondering this. anyway you are super cool and honestly probably understand this material a lot better than i do (so this is mainly for entertainment purposes lol) but thanks for replying i love how u expanded on this you’re very intelligent <3

thanks so much for reading i’m so glad u liked it! & yes i love the concept. while we’d def lose some elements of story that barry’s character had like how interesting oliver and farleigh’s relationship was, but it would be super interesting to see that pan out differently. like the relationship between venetia and a woman first of all (i may have just wanted to see her kiss a lady) & felix def wouldn’t have been as mad about it i think, honestly i think he’d be more upset abt her hooking up w farleigh. and bc women are sooooo often socialized to be receptive and accommodating to other’s needs/feelings/wants/etc they learn to fit in faster bc it becomes an intuitive skill, one i personally think oliver doesn’t possess and that’s why he’s forced to be so calculated. i’m not saying these things are exclusive to women and men obvi but it’s a lot more prominent so it would’ve been cool to see a character who had moments like ollie where their etiquette was incorrect but who was still able to smooth things over and could fake the family out a little bit better. like not totally fool them (farleigh would def still be able to see right thru it but he’d have a harder time finding ways to embarrass or insult them) and we could’ve seen how ollie’s plan would’ve panned out had felix not found out about the parent lie.

lot of discourse going on rn about a certain author of a very popular jegulus fic and some homophobic comments? now i have never read mentioned jegulus fic, and therefore cannot comment on any misrepresentation or harmful content within it, but i did see the whole queen joke, and after seeing multiple jokes like that all over twitter the past day, i didn’t view it as homophobic? i’m gay but i’m also very aware that i could be giving credit where credit is NOT due, so is that the homophobic comment people are referring to when talking about deleted things? cause if so i’ve seen about 50 people that need to do some deleting.

anyways, i’m really sorry if this comes off in a bad way, i just wanna make sure i’m reading a situation correctly cause i struggle with that, and i don’t rlly have a clue what’s goin on!

(also i completely get that it’s not ur place to have to educate people on this so if u wanna ignore this and never think about it again, please feel free)

It's okay, I understand only getting bits and pieces of the story so I'll do my best to sum it up for you.

There was a comment made by an author, and while it may not have necessarily meant to be homophobic, I know it did rub many people the wrong way. It was a comment that implied the feminization of gay men, something that can be seen as stereotypical and hurtful to the population.

The problem came more when it was brought up to the author. When someone brings up that something you said may be controversial or hurtful, typically you'd try to apologize and assure that this was not your intention, if it was in fact not your intention. Unfortunately, this author chose to quote themselves instead of acknowledging that the comment could indeed be hurtful. There were no apologies for potentially saying something controversial or the choice to potentially educate themselves on why it may be hurtful. The author chose to avoid the subject altogether.

Of course, this is where the whole thing sort of blew up. Now I feel like if the author had potentially handled the ask differently, maybe felt remorseful or apologized, people wouldn't be so peeved with the situation. Unfortunately, this was not the case. After this, the author decided to delete the comment and post something that wasn't quite an apology, but something saying they got the asks and they weren't impressed for being called out about it.

Now about other people deleting things. I don't follow many blogs, I typically try to keep to my corner of Tumblr and interact with my friends, so I definitely haven't seen everything every single author is saying. This being said, I invite you to, politely, maybe bring it up to an author or blogger who says something that could potentially be harmful. What the person decides to do then is up to them. If they apologize, show remorse, and correct themselves, I feel like that is okay, as long as they make an effort to correct their mistake and not do it again. Now, if they ignore it, get defensive, and try to tell you that it can't be hurtful because they didn't think it was hurtful, then that's different, and then a lot more people typically get involved because there is strength in numbers, and sometimes people need to hear it multiple times before it sticks in their brain. Now if they don't change, unfollow or block them, and tell some people in the same boat to avoid that person if they could be potentially harmful to your friends.

I didn't take your message as rude in any way, don't worry. And I not only responded to this to help you understand, but so that maybe it will come across another person's blog who needs to read this, or needs help understanding.

*so ,, the basis of this first step, is preying on your attraction to him,,, look, bakugou is not an idiot, nor is he afraid to admit how handsome he is. he practically makes it his job to figure out what gets you going

*n even if it makes him feel a little ridiculous/flustered he will absolutely rip his shirt off in front of you if that’s what it takes (just dont look at his face tho bc he’s blushing)

*he’s also prone to grabbing your wrist in his hand, and wrapping his fingers around it entirely. bc the asshole has nice, big, well-manicured hands n he knows u like them

*probably drops himself onto the couch next to you,, just to throw his head back and expose the column of his throat. pls n if he sees u looking over, he’ll blush 10/10 times, but he’ll still side-eye you and swallow intentionally while ur watching him

-alright, so now, if that was me, obvi it’d work. almost immeadiately. but let’s say ur a real hard-ass and somehow completely unmoved by how fine he is (wow, cant imagine what that’s like) . so he moves on to the next phase of the plan which is

Step 2: Make As Much Noise As Possible

*alright so this is where he just devolves into more insulting comments. bc adding fuel to the fire obviously makes it go out. clearly.

*will poke at ur cheeks/hands/legs n say sum “jesus, dumbass, learn to take a joke. didn’t fuckin’ mean it. c’mon, you knew that, you’re being stupid.”

*probably swipes whatever you’re paying attention to instead,, will hold it just out of ur reach and “if you want it then fuckin’ ask. ‘m not giving it to you until you speak to me again.”

* “why are you even upset? you rlly that fuckin’ sensitive?”

-okay so if that still doesn’t work, and it doesn’t, ofc it doesn’t, bakugou is just irritable now. he’s grumpy and crabby and probably misses u (even tho he’d never admit it) and he can’t accept ur silence bc then he’d be “losing” to you,, so onto the next phase which is

Step 3: Smooth Things Over

*finally, finally, he’ll come around to the idea of apologizing. which, for bakugou is rlly just tricking u into thinking he’s apologizing without actually having to say the words so he can feel like he’s “winning”.... 🙄

*this leads to him being uncharacteristically nice. like, making u food without complaining, or maybe making u tea

*n then he’ll just sorta,, press those little gifts into ur hands and look at u expectantly. just stand there in silence and wait for u to smile at him again

-but don’t fold sweetie. don’t fold even if he’s being sort of nice for once. with bakugou you’ve literally got to beat him into submission or he’ll never learn,, and if u still don’t speak to him then he’ll finally, finally, bend to you

Step 4: Suck It the Fuck Up

*firstly, his apologies are never rlly impressive. not really. they’re always mumbled and kinda stuttery, but they’re sincere. he’d only say the words if he actually meant them

*will sound very much like “Fine. Whatever. I’m sorry. Jesus, don’t make me fuckin’ say it again.” tho

*then when u finally look at him, a tiny little smile on your face, he’ll sort of just crowd you bc he missed u. v much a man who huffs in “annoyance” while also refusing to remove his face from ur collarbone or let you out of his arms

-and then all is finally, finally well in bakugou’s world. until he opens his big mouth again. he’ll learn eventually,,, maybe. probably not lmao

aid’s lil mini criticism of ToF that’s probably a lil disjointed cause I suck at explaining my thoughts sometimes ( at least from the viewpoint of someone who is a game designer and took a bachelors for it )

obvs this is all subjective, what i feel abt a mechanic or element is not the same as anothers, and this isn’t to disincentivize ppl from playing it; if u like the game, that’s the important part!!! 2 hours is not enough for me to get extremely solid in my final thoughts, but the fact that i still feel unsure how to feel, even after 2 hours is a little ... meh in itself

most games usually hook you in the first 20-30 min, but ToF feels like one long-drawn-out tutorial where even after 2h i still feel like i’m waiting to be introduced to stuff as i go along the story as i’ve been playing, and yet i’m equally being shoved too many mechanics in my face

obvs, i’ll be making comparisons to genshin bc they themselves dubbed themselves the ‘genshin killers’ ( i can’t find the immediate source, but it’s been brought up so many times + they even copied 5-star genshin reviews w/bots on their app lmao.... ) so it is an invitation for drawing comparisons

intro didn’t wow me. didn’t leave me with the same wide-eyed wonder i had when i booted up genshin cause you just get shoved into some ‘omg you’re being chased by a thing get away xD lol random look at all these things going on u don’t know about’ with no real sense of actual urgency to get away ( and a weird QTE section that felt very out of place ) ... like it’s pretty, but it’s not a ‘wow’ chief ( also fuck amnesia as a trope LMAO )

so initial impressions were subpar, combat feels fine, it feels fluid enough to fight on land, air, and to transition between weapons which i think is quite a neat mechanic in place of having different characters, although it’s not a new one, it’s pretty tried and liked. it feels a little clunky in some places ( i was laughing when i tried to dive attack and the character just kept floating forward and slowly falling ) but otherwise it’s serviceable enough 

( things are dying way too quick with an SSR weapon though ... there’s no challenge and i don’t even feel like a beginner player who is given small things to help me adjust and learn the combat unlike in genshin which did feel like at least a gradual rise in challenge and power )

they at least make you actually use all the new combat mechanics you’re introduced to ( including their jetpack and ... a crapload of other ‘extra’ accessories later on ). problem is, that it feels like the combat and navigation mechanics are ... bloated and way too condensed yet drawn out at the same time? nothing rlly stuck with me

things like weapon upgrades are streamlined since the game just does it for you ( aka oh hey we just attached the materials you need to upgrade so don’t think about it ) which then forms a disconnect between you and the mechanic ( and even where said mechanic is located in the UI ) ... sure, weapon upgrades are automated through the ores in genshin, but in the beginning you don’t have those and your choice of how you feed weapons is a lot more limited until you become more accustomed to the game. here it’s so ‘wham bam thank u mam’ that it doesn’t even feel fulfilling or do much outside of press button do thing

story-wise you aren’t even given enough chances to really become familiar with the combat system because 80% of the story so far has been ‘go here. talk to this person here. come back. go here. talk to this person here’ and maybe you beat up a single boss or two in some places. you’d have to straight up deviate from the story to start beating stuff, and truth be told, i don’t have any incentive or desire to do so, unlike in genshin where i began early on to deviate and look around because i was inspired to dig my nose around the world

... i’ll be honest, i think the story is boring and bland too. it feels very hamfisted in introducing you to characters and trying to make you care for them. no, PW i’m not gonna care that your token uwu sister girl character is dying or something, i barely have known her for 2 hours and outside of her showing me around the camp and making me go on 50 errands to get her stuff ( like a damn filter that’s 5 feet away from me ), she’s done nothing for me. her brother was hot, but he also feels flatter than a piece of paper and i’d have cared more if he actually did shoot his sister. otherwise i have no idea what our place in the world is outside of amnesiac dude who is adopted by a camp while shit happens around him w/o any real explanation

the look of the world is ... fine, it’s ... generic post-apocalypse camp ... i dunno why they opted for the look they did, browns and greens although very nice, start to blend together when your world is just made of that and just canyon mountain things. facial animations are pretty good for characters, even if the lip-sync is weird ( but genshin isn’t free of that either with non-CN dubs so it’s a pass ) but actual body/motion animations feel weird and are very ... stiff

designs are ... bland too IMO, i’m not very inspired by them and i find the mechanic a little odd to be able to ‘wear’ a look ... why give us the option to customize then if we can just dress up like a cat-girl who acts bitchy regardless if we opted for male or female avatars? the customizer is nice, but perfect world has always made pretty decent customizers. though think about it, if people are more complimenting just the customizer and nothing else of the game ... what does that say? sure, you can argue it only came out yesterday, but ... food for thought, i suppose

you can also clearly tell it was made as a mobile game first considering they still have ‘tap to enter’ written on their damn login page LMAO

i’ll probably keep playing for a few more days to really gather my thoughts, but overall the taste i’m getting is ‘generic mobile anime scifi game with mechanic bloat and no real story’. if you enjoy more mindless games that are oogly button mash flashy, it works, but this is no genshin killer

i also have gripes with the company itself, but you can read this twitter thread for that shitshow with their CN beta, and i’m already familiar with perfect world and bloating an old MMO of mine with unneeded features and gross P2W so i already went in w/some kinda bias knowing what the company is like

aside from that thanks for reading my ... rant more than anything LMAOOOO like it’s an okay looking game but as said, it’s not a genshin killer and just honestly made me appreciate the looks, story, and gameplay a little more ( even if I still have my own gripes with it, but no game is perfect )
