not rlly a request but it can be if uw??
I can't stop thinking abt kitty hybrid user and some big cat hybrid gojo (snow leopard, tiger, lion, etc). Suguru originally had hybrid Gojo as a pet, but then found kitty reader and decided to adopt them, and the moment Gojo sees them, he instantly decides that reader is his mate, and just follows them around like a dumb puppy. He'll cling onto reader and groom them all day, licking their fur and their face and not stopping even when reader complains or when Suguru tries to step in. Gojo is super super possesive of reader, and insists on eating, sleeping and bathing with reader, and will start shredding cushions or other things if denied. He's a big cat, so his claws do some serious damage to furniture, so Suguru has no choice but to give in if he doesn't want to spend everything in his bank account to repair the damage. I'd imagine Gojo and reader would have a similar dynamic to your puppygirl and wolf Gojo fics, but Gojo is the one teasing and getting all over reader. Reader's just too innocent to realise what's going on, so they just let Gojo do whatever. Thanks for reading my little blurb, I just needed to get it out!! Hope u have a nice day ❤️
The Preakness in this needs to be studied omg
I want to expand.
KittyHybrid !reader x Tigerhybrid!Gojo
Tumblr media
Satoru really thinks he owns you like literally thinks you were bought just for him when that’s not the case, well yeah you were bought for companionship but Suguru also got you because he felt the house was too manly? It would be nice to have a girl around. So he got ur little cute self, at the hybrid facility you were the sweetest thing ever, you’d lay yourself all over Suguru in a ploy to go home with him, he of course gave in.
The first few days he has to keep you separated from Satoru for obvious reasons, Satoru is extremely protective over the house, Suguru can’t have any company over besides Shoko who he tolerates in his space. When he first smelt you he was angry, he couldn’t tell you what you were so he was on edge, the thing is he had only smelled you not seen you.
Suguru has you in another room letting you get familiar with Gojos scent and also letting him get familiar with yours, Gojo really won’t leave the locked door you’re behind alone he’s constantly coming near it to sniff and try to unlock it, Suguru has to guide him to get away from it every single time.
When he does meet you a warmth blooms within his chest, women are such a rarity for Satoru especially other hybrids, you don’t come from the same family as him but he’s so obsessed.
He insists that he have an hour licking session of him using his slimy tongue to clean you even though you really don’t need it! Everytime you try to pry him off in a whiny tone he’s hearing none of it. It gets to the point where you have to whine for a suguru to help you: he does but Satoru has the meanest fucking expression on his face when you’re pried from his arms. He goes on to have an attitude for the rest of the day.
You’re so right about Gojo scratching couches with his sharp claws in retailiation, he gets soo clingy with you, so angry when Suguru separates you it’s so bad that like you said Suguru doesn’t want to deal with him ruining expensive things around the house, that doesn’t mean he’ll let Satoru do whatever he wants with you there are some limits.
Most of the time you’re nice and pliant in Satoru’s lap, you don’t fight back when he carries you around the house simply just letting the huge tiger do what he pleases.
You don’t seem to mind when he rubs himself all over you, purring so loudly because he’s just that obsessed with the docile kitty.
Tiger!Satoru loves your little cunt just as much as he loves the rest of you, he’s only gotten to feel your warm insides once because that’s where Suguru drew the line hard. It was the best day of his life, all you did was mewl below him while he stuffed you full of his fat cock, he came so quickly that night.
He craves to feel you again but Suguru stood his ground, he’d get rid of you if it came to that again (not that he wanted to, Suguru really loved having you around the house it was just an empty threat that seemed to work)
Tiger!Satoru will settle for licking and giving you nasty slippery kisses!

He talks to you about romcoms.
You weren’t even necessarily going to buy one, just perusing the options while you wait for your friend to show up.
You don’t even notice him until he’s right beside you, an incredible feat for such a huge man. Part of you is startled, instinctively about to step away to give him room. But he says, “Sleepless in Seattle?”
It takes you a second to catch up. You’re directly in front of the title, a foreign film, nothing particularly outlandish or eye catching about the cover. “Oh, yeah,” you say, awkwardly, not sure what you should say.
But — his eyes light up. “Have you seen it? It’s one of my favorites. I think it really opened the whole genre up for the concept of LDR and situational romances.”
You haven’t seen it. You don’t know what he means. But he talks to you for the next ten minutes, hardly pausing to take a breath. You find it almost shocking that someone of his mien would be so invested in romance movies. He looks kind of like a fuckboy, if you’re being honest. At first you’re convinced this is all a pickup gambit.
But he keeps going, and it’s clear that he really just — loves Sleepless in Seattle.
He’s the first to leave, scurry away from you just as quickly and abruptly as he appeared.
It was so random and strange, you hardly know what to make of the situation. But the next time you visit the DVD shop, it’s your turn to initiate.
“I watched it,” you tell him. “It was good.”
He’s grinning so wide. “You did? Okay, okay, if you liked that one you have to watch Hana Yori Dango. I know, it seems weird. But hear me out…”
It becomes a weekly thing after that. Meeting here, taking and giving recommendations. You’re— friends, in some strange, delicate way.

dressing fashion au sukugo based off of animal prints
Tumblr media Tumblr media
satoru gojo — fawn print.
it's a perfect print for winter and fall times and something just tells me he'd love a much more niche take on the animal print design.. it's also important that fawns symbolize new beginnings and illumination the delicate nature of the print would probably attract satoru as well as well as its staple in the early lolita community.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ryomen sukuna — leopard and tiger print.
tiger print is way less common than leopard, cheetah, and jaguar even though it's another loved big cat.. the funniest thing ever is that in japanese culture tattoos with tigers were given as a mean to ward off evil spirits and bad luck but sukuna IS the evil spirit and bad luck. tiger's also represent 'strength' which is sukuna at his core
leopard was added in cause i thought that shit was cool but after some small research, the spiritual meaning of leopard's are 'power, confidence, bravery, cunning and perception' which is commonly associated with sukuna

Chapter 6: Quiet Strength
Sukuna felt a shift in the atmosphere, no doubt from Besu’s cursed energy. When he felt Satoru Gojo’s added onto it, he waved it off as the two sparring. Normally, he might feel more concern for his only daughter, except that he was having a dilemma on her behalf.
He paced across the luxurious den with his eternal scowl in place, disfiguring his tattoos as Besu once again had his damn emotions in a twist. The more she grew, the more Sukuna was forced to acknowledge that she was growing into a woman with her own ideals. Ideals that didn’t fit with his destructive mold. Ideals that he’d originally hoped would be in line with an heir befitting the terror of his name. Instead, Besu clung to her compassion as viciously as Sukuna devoted himself to his destruction.
If he weren’t so focused on what he should do, he might have detected the second wave of desperation coming from Besu’s cursed energy only a few blocks away.
Instead, when Besu’s shouts echoed through their vast mansion, he huffed from the top of the stairs, irritated at being torn from his musings.
“What do you–Besu?” The reasons for her childish screaming through the halls immediately became clear when he saw a bloodied corpse in her arms. Sukuna’s mind worked just as quick as his body as he rushed over to her. “What the hell happened?!”
Possibilities played through his mind. Had his daughter finally fulfilled her purpose as his wanton successor of savagery? Or was it something as simple as the boy doing something reckless and stupid to cause her to look so afraid and adamant as she presented Gojo to him?
When Toji’s name fell from Besu’s lips, Sukuna could only gape at her. Revenge boiled in his veins but lowered to a simmer when she handed over Gojo. Suddenly, Sukuna could only see her as she’d been at seven, terrified and begging her father for help.
His heir. His daughter. His world.
Her maroon eyes pierced his chest more precisely than any dagger ever could.
“Dad…please don’t let Satoru die.”
Sukuna shouldn’t have been so torn by the decision as his daughter swayed forward and he caught her with his second pair of arms. He wanted to heal her and ignore the bothersome Gojo brat, but Besu remained a weak spot in Sukuna’s armored psyche and it was clear her injuries were not as life-threatening.
Plus, he’d been the one to suggest she find friends in the first place because he’d promised it would be beneficial to her to have allies. And he’d be damned if he ate his own words.
“You little shits.” Sukuna growled, before turning to Gojo, who barely clung to life.
“You would speak so callously of Toji’s slayers?” Baekho’s form drifted into the mansion - or had she always been sitting there behind Besu? - seeming duller than usual. “I will care for the cub. You take care of young Satoru.”
“Don’t tell me what to do.” Sukuna hissed, lashing out as fear gripped him by the throat. “Remember your place, beast.”
“You’d do well to remember yours, young Ryomen.”
“Young? Tch. I’m over a thousand years old.” He snarled, using reverse cursed technique and watching the boy’s injuries fade as blood still stained his skin.
“And my spirit was here at the beginning of time to watch the birth of this world. You are all young to me. Now, shut up and heal the boy.” Baekho snarled, touching her nose to Besu’s forehead as her stripes glowed and Besu’s injuries disappeared. “Besu will need ample rest. She will not be waking for some time.”
“Why not? Was this your doing?” Sukuna hadn’t felt so feral since he’d executed his month-long war for the takeover of Japan. Few matched him in terms of strength, but hearing that his daughter might not wake up brought out a different sort of unhinged rage within him.
“No. Her power has expanded and evolved.” Baekho replied calmly, nudging her muzzle under Besu until she could heft her onto her back. “My own rage allows me an increase in power, turning my spirit and energy red. However, it would appear that the culmination of young Besu’s rage and my own amplify that power even more between the two of us. Coupled with your technique that you’ve taught her, your cub is a force even Toji was unable to match.”
“You mean my technique that Besu has yet to execute properly?” Sukuna sneered.
“I mean your technique that Besu used to deal the killing blow.”
. . . . .
Besu woke up feeling like she’d been hit by a truck. After blinking a few times in the dim light, she remembered that “truck” was Toji Fushiguro. When she grunted and turned to see her father asleep on a couch across from her bed, it suddenly didn’t matter.
“Daddy?” She whimpered, muscles groaning under every attempt at movement.
“Mmm…? Bechan!” Sukuna jumped to her side in a moment, sheltering her from the harsh danger of the world as he pulled her against his chest in a hug that squished together all of her broken pieces. Every broken part of her felt stitched together and whole again. “Are you okay? Does anything hurt?”
“Everything feels sore.” She said, closing her eyes and feeling much like she wished she had as a child - protected and prized by her father. But her eyes flashed open as she looked up to him with a frantic question. “Is Satoru okay?”
“The boy is fine.” Sukuna rolled his eyes. “I’m told you fought Toji Fushiguro and came out the victor.”
“Baekho was responsible for our ability to come out victorious. Satoru and I weren’t able to land many hits. It was only when he was hurt that I felt capable of doing any real damage.” Besu sighed, her eyes falling to her deep blue quilt.
“Baekho herself told me that you used my technique to deal the final blow.” Sukuna said, forcing Besu’s eyes up by lifting her chin with his finger. “You’ve grown so much.”
“I know. I am sorry I have not grown into the daughter you’ve desired I would become.”
“No, you haven’t.” His words choked her, disappointment squeezing the breath out of her. Was that why he was squeezing her so hard? Had he finally overcome his sentiment from her childhood and decided to dispose of her before she could ruin everything? “You’ve grown into something better.”
The world as she knew it crashed around her feet, scattered in an ocean of tears as her father’s words urged her closer to his chest. She knew the moment couldn’t last, that this tender moment didn’t fit the King of Curses and he’d quickly usher her away when he felt too awkward about showing emotion.
“Don’t think this changes anything.” Sukuna’s muscles tensed before relaxing again. “But we’ll talk about it later. For now, you must rest. Baekho says your power has grown and it took a lot out of you.”
“But what about Satoru?” Besu frowned.
“Yeah, what about me?”
Gojo’s lanky figure reclined against Besu’s door frame and every worry she had disappeared in the glistening blue of his eyes.
“Satoru!” She bolted upright and forced herself to her feet.
Big mistake.
Sukuna caught her when she toppled forward and smirked as he ushered her back into her bed. Besu also didn’t miss that Gojo went from leaning in the doorway to the center of her room by the time she was in bed.
“No need to kill yourself on my part.” Gojo shook his head, keeping a wary eye on Sukuna as he did. Similarly, Besu watched her father eye Gojo speculatively.
“You can stop glaring at each other, you know.” Besu huffed, before the absence of another stole her breath.
Baekho! Where are you?! Are you–
I am here. The tiger chuffed in her mind, relaxing Besu with her familiar rumble. You are not ridding yourself of me that easily.
“I think I have a right to glare at the boy that put my daughter in a situation where she might have been killed.” Sukuna said.
“It wasn’t my fault! Besides, I thought the great and mighty King of Curses would have trained his daughter better.” Gojo snorted.
“Hold your tongue, brat! If it wasn’t for Besu, I’d have let you die! Hell, I’d have dealt the final blow and been done with you!”
Gojo opened his mouth to respond, before Besu sent him a glare that capsized his attitude, rendering him silent.
“I see your brush with death may have humbled your spirit, but you’re still ignorant in the way of self-preservation.” Baekho swirled from Besu and the bed, floating between the group as she stretched her back and claws.
“Yeah, well…” Gojo shrugged and shoved his hands in his pockets. “I figure you all can grant me some patience, seeing as I nearly died.”
“Not as much patience as I’m granting you to stand so far away from me.” Besu finally found her voice, reaching out her arms in an unspoken need.
Gojo smiled, softening instantly before he spared a glance at Sukuna and stepped over to wrap Besu in a hug.
“I’m glad you’re alive too, ya know?” Gojo whispered. “I was terrified I’d find you waiting for me in the afterlife.”
“Oh, please. You’d have been waiting for me, first.”
“No way! Or…well…maybe. But only because I was actually on the offensive! Plus, you had Baekho!”
“I’m just hearing excuses…” Besu laughed.
“Ha! Maybe I should have let you do all the work then!”
And as the two bickered, Sukuna watched, a now-familiar warmth in his chest. Because even though his daughter stood for everything he claimed to be weak, he could doubt it no longer.
His daughter’s strength rivaled even his own.

Doodle dump of silly shit I did for an incredibly silly JJK au wherein more than half the cast are hybrid shapeshifters living in a national park and Geto, Yuta and Megumi are tired workers there.
Its s stupid au but me and my gf fucking love it. (Plus with the current state of things in the manga I need something lighter)

What does each jjk spirit animal symbolize (Part 1)
Or also "I'm bored so I'll look up random things about Japanese animals"
Yuji Itadori - White Bengal Tiger
Tumblr media
This one is a bit obvious, as the kanji in the name "Yuji Itadori" also mean "bengal tiger" according to jjk's wiki. Furthermore, the name "Yuji" means "brave and heroic", which fits with his personality and importance in the plot. These two meanings are also attributed to tigers in Japanese culture, which are seen as symbols of "great power, courage and strength". I'm probably wrong, but this could link Yuji with Byakko, the guardian of the west cardinal point in Japanese mythology. According to legend, the principle of the Heavenly White Tiger is to protect and preserve. Therefore, it was common to find Japanese shoguns, generals and people of power and influence using a coat of arms with a tiger.
(I'm having some thoughts about Yuji and tigers right now, but I'll post that later)
Megumi Fushiguro - Bunnies
Tumblr media
This one took me by surprise, but come on. Rabbits symbolize many things in Japanese culture, some of them being longevity, luck, patience, creativity, elegance, calmness, cleverness and BLESSING among children. And we can see that many of these words can also be associated with Megumi. The rabbit is also part of the Japanese calendar, (in fact, 2023 is the year of the rabbit), and one of the interesting things I found was that one of the defects of people born in that year is that they lack self-confidence and avoid confrontations. There are several myths involving rabbits in Japanese mythology and it would be a lot of work to bring them all here, but I want to quote the myth of the Rabbit in the moon (I discovered this thanks to a wonderful fanfic on AO3) which talks about a rabbit taken to the celestial realms by the Old Man Moon Sage after being chosen as the most generous animal. (The rabbits' colors probably symbolize Megumi's dogs)
Nobara Kugisaki - Flamingo
Tumblr media
This one was also a surprise, as flamingos are the last thing I would have thought of as a Nobara spirit animal, but which I now fully understand in research. Flamingos symbolize perseverance and strength, elegance and grace. They teach us to be resilient through adversity, always maintaining balance in our actions. Much like Nobara who represented a balance in the trio, being as excited and fun as Itadori, but also smart and calm as Fushiguro. She is also shown to be very persevering in her desires to find Saori and get out of her village life. In Japan, flamingos also symbolize good luck because of the red color of their wings, which are associated with happiness.
Satoru Gojo - Snowy Owl
Tumblr media
Ha!!! Satoru Gojo needed to have a majestic animal for him. A snowy owl fit right in, as it is a symbol of wisdom and the ability to see beyond appearances ("my six eyes tell me you are Suguru Geto, but my soul knows otherwise"). The white color, in addition to further accentuating the symbol of knowledge, is also linked to purity and ILLUMINATION (something Sukuna said he lacked in chapter 230). In Japan, owls are used as amulets and talismans to attract good luck, fortune, health and love (Satusugu canon, as Geto/Kenny also has an owl as a spirit animal, but that's for another post).
.
.
.
This started out as a shitty post that I just made for fun (and something to do while there's nothing interesting on twitter), but I ended up enjoying researching them. It is interesting to see that each of the animals was not chosen at random, that there is something in their symbology that links them to jjk. I really liked the symbology of Gojo's owl and Nobara's Flamingo (I kind of expected Megumi to have one of her shikigami, but the rabbits surprised me…)
I have a few thoughts about Itadori's tiger, but I think I've said too much.

JJK X KHR PART 2
Yuji's test to get into the school went exactly as everyone yet no one excepted (almost the same as canon except Gojo wanted to jump in after the first punch received to dismantle the stupid doll and give Yuji a hug ) . Yuji is still suspicious as hell from everyone here thinking they are Yakuza so he ain't speaking shit for how much he knows and how much he doesn't (he also wants to hug Yaga for some reason)
On his way to the dorms he saw Megumi and immediately got to trying to hug him or just to get some physical contact , which Megumi reciprocate to his joy . He and Megumi became neighbors instantly
The next day was also interesting
He got to meet Nobara for example (he wants to hug her like he wants to hug Megumi and Gojo sensei(what is with him and wanting to hug people lately ?))
_______________
Nobara's POV :
What is it with this guy ? She wants to hug him and protect him from everything , and it's almost like he is shining . That is not normal . And he has this pull she could swear she has felt somewhere before but never so strong . This is suspicious . She will keep an eye on him .
Also ...
WHY IS HE IN RED 😡??!??!? He will look WAY better in blue , she IS takinng him shopping later .😤
_________________
~Back to Yuji's POV :
Gojo sensei is going to take them on tour of Tokyo?! That is so cool !
We were lied to .
Oh well . We got a curse to somehow get rid of (i also got a really cool knife for the work)
Man those things are though . Also how is this building standing with styrofoam as walls ? Because this sure isn't bricks , he has broken brick walls and they are tougher than this .
But Nobara's technique with the straw doll was very cool , it really gets the image of putting a curse on someone , whit using a body part and all that .
When we finished the job Gojo sensei even got us a dinner of our choice .
If this is the new normal I might like it , even if it is in the yakuza

Summary: Besu's thoughtful stroll turns into the start of a new friendship. Only problem is she has no idea how her father will react since it's a boy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 4: Seeing Stripes
“I think you’re crazy.” Besu huffed at her tiger companion, kicking the gravel beneath her feet. “Why try to make friends when they’re only going to try and take my power or gain influence with my father?”
“You don’t know everyone seeks to harm you.” Baekho chuffed and rubbed against her leg. “It is not good for you to be alone.”
“I have you.”
“I cannot be the only one you interact with, Little One.”
“Yeah? Why not?”
“You’re eleven now.” Baekho licked Besu’s hand once. “You need others around you to support you. Your father and I can only provide so much. You need peers your own age you can learn to trust and socialize with.”
“I don’t need anyone else.”
. . . . .
As she’d gotten older, Sukuna trained Besu extensively in her use of cursed energy and techniques. She no longer feared walking through the streets of Shibuya. Those who initially viewed Besu’s life as free game soon learned the extent of Baekho’s wrath.
“Your father is worried about you, you know.”
That gave Besu pause, but only for a moment. Then, she shoved her hands in her pockets and redoubled her pace, storming down the streets. She shoulder-checked a fruit vendor and the cabbage man, sending glares at anyone who met her eyes.
“Cub, you know he cares about you. As hard as it is for him to show it, he wants you to be happy, even if he doesn’t fully understand why.” Baekho continues. “Your need for companionship is as evident as the stripes on my back.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t know where I’d find that.” Besu sighed, kicking a pebble in her path. “Father only teaches me how to fight.”
“Perhaps he teaches you to fight because it is the only thing he knows.”
Besu opened her mouth to respond when a green-haired man flung himself in front of her.
“May your reign be short-lived, Princess–” His voice abruptly ended as Baekho caught him in her teeth and crushed his bones between her jaws.
She dropped his body in the street and kept walking with Besu, whose expression didn’t change.
“He homeschools me and teaches me everything at home. Am I just supposed to walk out in the streets and befriend the first person I see?” Besu gestured with her hand and it smacked straight into a boy with white hair. “I am so sorry.” She squeaked, covering her mouth with her hands. In an instant, Baekho’s spirit drew back into her body.
“Pfft. Was that supposed to hurt?” The young boy rolled his eyes behind a pair of stark, black sunglasses. Based on the cursed energy radiating from him, there was only one person he could be.
“Was that supposed to insult me?” Besu quipped back, quirking an eyebrow at him. One pair of hands stayed in her pockets, but the other pair rested on her hips in irritation.
“You’re the daughter of the Curse King.” The boy said, tilting his head as his posture reflected her own. “Besu, right?”
“Yes.” She nodded. “And you are?”
“The princess of the Curse King doesn’t know who I am?” He scoffed.
“I know who you are, but I’m giving you the option of introducing yourself before I confirm that you are, in fact, an asshole.” Besu shuffled her feet, reaching out to Baekho with her mind. Keep an eye on him. I sense no threat from him. He seems to be cautious, like you.
The boy’s lips twisted into a smirk at her attitude.
“I like your style, Princess of Curses. I’m Gojo. Satoru Gojo.” His smirk disappeared as soon as it surfaced. “Why are you out here? Fancy a destructive stroll through the streets?”
“I don’t harbor the same destructive tendencies of my father.” Besu started walking, letting him decide whether or not he wanted to follow. “Though you’d think otherwise based on the amount of people that have tried to kill me.”
When the world grew quiet again, Besu assumed Gojo left, leaving the residue of his massive cursed energy behind him.
“People are constantly trying to kill me too. I’m sure you know why.” His voice startled her back into reality and she spared him a glance.
Besu knew. Father had schooled her on a plethora of well-known sorcerer families and their techniques. With the vast variety of cursed techniques she would encounter, narrowing down the families with techniques passed down proved vital for survival. The less wild factors she had, the safer and stronger she’d be.
“I understand.” As she passed her favorite sweet shop, she nodded to him. “Do you like sweets? Do you wanna go get something to eat?” That’s a friendly gesture, right? A respectable invitation, Little One. I’m proud.
“Sure.” Gojo smiled.
. . . . .
Besu sat at a table eating ice cream while Gojo stuffed his face with warabi mochi; she racked her brain for topics of conversation, as well as possibilities to help protect her new friend from assassins like the ones she faced daily.
“Besu, yeah? What sort of cursed spirit latched onto you?” Gojo asked after his last bite of dessert. He folded his arms behind his head and reclined. “I saw a glimpse earlier.”
“She didn’t retreat, she just likes staying inside me to keep other spirits and people from clocking my cursed energy easily.” Besu growled defensively. No need to protect my honor, Cub, he’ll learn soon enough. “But she’s the White Tiger Guardian, Baekho.”
“Baekho, huh?” Gojo tried to appear disinterested, but his eyes shone behind his glasses the same way her father’s had when he’d first heard. “Not often a cursed spirit so powerful as Baekho bonds to anyone, not even a sorcerer.”
“Yeah…” Besu nodded absently, before her face lit up. “Hey! Maybe I can get Baekho to help protect you…from the people trying to kill you, too? Baekho, can you do that?”
A swirl of smoky blue swirled into the air as Baekho’s glowing blue figure materialized beside them.
“I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that. We are tethered, little love.” Baekho rubbed her head against Besu’s hand and turned to Gojo.
“Ha!” Gojo chuckled, wrinkling his lips into a shit-eating grin. “You think I’m so weak that I need her protection? What do you take me for, a whelp?”
Baekho bared her teeth, a warning for the young cub to stand down. “As it stands, your power is great. Few would ever surpass it. But should you ever find yourself in trouble, rally your cursed energy into a pool at the top of your head as a flare. Energy that’s stored away in the mind is the most difficult to ignore, and we will find you.”
Gojo pushed his glasses down far enough for Baekho to see the roll of his eyes. Then he stood and dusted off his shirt.
“You think I need a house cat to keep me safe?”
Besu blinked and Baekho had Gojo on the ground, her massive paw on his chest.
“Hold your tongue, Young Cub. I am tethered, not tamed.”
. . . . .
By the time Besu returned home, Sukuna waited for her in the den. On a throne of bones, he appeared sorely disinterested in the book he read, but Besu she’d been gone long enough for him to hide his worry behind the pages.
“Father, I have returned home.”
“Besu, I am glad you are back safely.” Sukuna bookmarked his page and turned his full attention to her. “You were gone longer than I expected.”
“Yes, sir. I did not mean to delay. I met a new companion.” She chose her words carefully. Anyone else and Sukuna might find them unworthy of her attention. But Satoru Gojo? Besu was sure Sukuna would find him worthy, but his disdain for the Gojo family was of no question.
“Is that so?”
“Yes, sir. We stopped by my favorite sweet shop for idle chatter. I hope that’s alright.”
“Depends on who you were with.”
“A boy my age by the name of Satoru Gojo.”
Sukuna’s red eyes suddenly locked with Besu’s and he bared a set of sharp teeth. At that moment, they seemed like fangs on a feral tiger, not unlike Baekho. She couldn’t tell if the murder in his eyes was because of Gojo’s namesake or the fact that he was, well, a boy.
“What did you talk about?”
Baekho, I’m scared. I am here.
“Well, we mostly just talked about how we’re both constantly trying to stay safe from assassins.” Besu explained, leaving out their discussion of Baekho. “I suggested the sweet shop. I wanted a companion.”
“A companion, I understand. But a boy?” Sukuna groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. “And not just any boy, either. Satoru Gojo! Of all the sorcerers you could encounter…”
“I’m sorry, Father.”
With a heavy sigh, Sukuna stood and placed four sets of hands on her shoulders.
“Well, as long as you have someone other than Baekho and me to keep you out of trouble…I’ll allow it.” Sukuna surprised her with a kiss to her forehead before stalking away. “But if he ever lays a hand on you, I’ll dismantle and cleave the little ass until he is a puddle of blood and marrow.”
