#like i really wanted Leslie to just be Angry

I've started watching movies again and I watched Giant (1956) last night. what a nothing burger movie. several minor conflicts that couldve developed into some real drama or just Something but nah. Elizabeth Taylor is quite possibly the most gorgeous human to ever walk the earth.

Leslie couldve been a really rich character and I was expecting a lot more from her after the first few scenes.

I liked how menacing the Texas song was, the lyrics were like "Texas has its eyes on you, you cannot escape." I felt that this song should've been the theme for Leslie's initial experience in TX. She's married a man two days after meeting him, traveled across the USA to live with him on his 500,000 acres, and immediately realizes she's moved into an isolated wasteland, to her at least, with a man who immediately starts policing her behavior. and a woman, her step sister, that doesn't want to relinquish any control over the house or her brother.

I also like to think that Leslie's first motivation, before hearing about those 500,000 acres, was that Bick was there to buy her horse. She's *such* a horse girl that she married the man buying her horse just to keep that horse. I really wanted more of a reaction to Lux hurting her horse and the horse having to be put down after.

I liked that Leslie does immediately try to make the best of the situation. She chose this, she pursued this man, and now she has to live with it. Helps a lot that Bick is generally very nice to her and very handsome. I do think we could've had more of an exploration on how different they are as people, how different they were raised. Imagine marrying a man after knowing his for two days and only then realizing the consequences because you don't know his values or ideals. You don't know that he's gonna dismiss you in front of his buddies because they're talking 'man stuff,' like politics and business. Or that he's gonna scold you for being kind to the servants or wanting to improve the living conditions of the farm hands and cowboys families.

It felt like the film was taking note of it, of their differences, but never had any resolution. They just carried on because they love each other. And suddenly 25ish years have fucking passed lmao.

Jet's character is interesting and James Dean did a lot, for the younger Jet at least. Older Jet, nothing really happening there except he's drunk and wants to piss off Bick and his family. And is still obsessed with Leslie because she was kind to him (and also is the gorgeous Elizabeth Taylor.) But we don't spend enough time with him for him to be a compelling antagonist. He never feels like a real threat because he never really is one. Leslie's never tempted to be with him, Bick hates him but not enough to really do anything about it, Jet does try to marry their daughter but he doesn't even seem serious about that.

There's a significantly better story somewhere in Giant but what we got is a lukewarm shallow puddle of a drama. A remake as a limited series would have a lot of potential.

Some quick Arkham: Shadow Harvey-based sketches because I am still reeling. Spoilers so it's cut off.

That fucking ending scene, where Harvey is just a shell of who he was on the hospital bed, I imagine many things must have been repeating endlessly in his head. Things from his father, from Leslie.

"Don't be angry. Be good," - Leslie. "You are a Dent. We self-sabotage. See, there's something broken in our brains. We see the good in the world and then set it on fire," - Christopher.

Interesting parallels, I thought.

Also a detail in this game that I LOVE - and that I also don't know if it was intentional - is that Christopher Dent's voice, when he is angry, sounds a little like Two-Face's voice, no? And all of Chris's talk of generational 'Dent trauma'... sad that Harvey controls others' fate but cannot control his own.

Really like that when Harvey first experiences Two-Face in the open, he wants a cure. "Is there a cure?" he asks desperately. Then fast forward to Arkham City, Hugo claims he can "cure him", to where you hear a seasoned Two-Face hesitate in his speech for the first time.

Yeah, anyway, I'm going crazy.

Examples of transandrophobia: i've seen sections of Leslie Feinberg's piece "Sisterhood: Make it Real" passed around this site for literally years, and TODAY was the first time that I saw the whole thing and learned that ze called out cisfeminists in it for getting rid of trans men the second they started transitioning. Like I always thought it was a good piece but I had literally NO IDEA that it talked about trans men because that part was never included in posts about it, even when those posts were calling out cisfeminism for being transphobic. I'm just gobsmacked tbh

Amongst other things, Leslie talks about how "women good men bad" is poor feminism:

Of course, as a result of the oppression women face growing up in such a violently anti-woman environment, some women draw a line between women as allies and men as enemies. While it’s understandable that an individual might do so out of fear, this approach fails as theory. It lumps John Brown and John D. Rockefeller together as enemies and Sojourner Truth and Margaret Thatcher together as allies. This view of who to trust and who to dread will not keep women safe or keep the movement on course.

How feminine men are victims of gender oppression:

The oppression of feminine men is an important one to me, since I consider drag queens to be my sisters. I’ve heard women criticize drag queens for “mocking women’s oppression” by imitating femininity to an extreme, just as I’ve been told that I am imitating men. Feminists are justifiably angry at women’s oppression - so am I! I believe, however, that those who denounce drag queens aim their criticism at the wrong people. This misunderstanding doesn’t take gender oppression into account. For instance, to criticize male-to-female drag performers, but leave out a discussion of gender oppression, lumps drag queen RuPaul together with men like actor John Wayne! RuPaul is a victim of gender oppression, as well as of racism.

How masculine women are assumed to know less about gender oppression:

There are transsexual men who did help build the women’s and lesbian communities, and still have a large base of friends there. They should enjoy the support of women on their journey. Not that "trans women belong in feminism" wouldn't be a good point on its own, but people's selectivity with which parts of that chapter they share definitely warrant scrutiny.

I would like to say I've slowed down a bit on BATFAMILY fic over the last month, but that's kind of a lie because fandom has put out some absolute banger longer fics and I've been reading a lot of comics (can you believe how many comics I've been enjoying?? ERIK MENENDEZ: I went to Dr. Oziel because I really wanted to kill myself. I told him that I was responsible. His response was to have Lyle come in.

LYLE MENEDEZ: He wanted one tape in which, at some point on tape, he told us "You guys, say you killed your parents." It wasn't like he was like, "Oh this is terrible" let me help you guys, and then we work through this in a confidential way. That's what a normal therapist would do. Dr. Oziel was right into blackmail. I was angry with Erik in the moment because I just couldn't believe he would think Dr. Oziel was a trustworthy figure. My father refused to hire Dr. Oziel unless he signed a document saying that everything that Erik told him he would relay to my father. And Dr. Oziel signed a document to that effect. My father chose this sleazy psychologist because it was the only psychologist who would be willing to waive confidentiality so his son couldn't actually confide in the doctor.

LYLE MENEDEZ: No. I never threatened Dr. Oziel. I don't go around threatening people. I had never had an act of violence in my life until my parents' shootings. I mean obviously, he wasn't feeling that threatened. He didn't go to the police and say I feel threatened. He knew that he could. He chose not to.

ERIK MENENDEZ: Lyle wrote me this emotional letter when I was in the county jail. Lyle couldn't express what he did in that letter in person. It was easier for him to put it on paper. He felt that telling the sick secrets of the family would be like killing my parents again. And he did not want to do it.

"I REFUSE TO GIVE UP. HE IS WATCHING AND I WILL NOT DISAPPOINT HIM. WE DID NOT DO ANYTHING FOR THE MONEY."

LYLE MENENDEZ: Ultimately it became clear that, particularly after they found that jail letter and there was no way around saying what happened. Because they had that note, they had a confession that we were responsible for my parents' deaths.

ERIK MENENDEZ: I was supposed to destroy that letter. But it was a precious letter to me. It was one of those moments where Lyle was really expressing his own pain. And I, I didn't want to just throw it away. Because that didn't happen often between us.

As a result of them finding this letter in the summer of 1990. We now had to confess to everyone. And having them have to relive not just my parents' deaths, but now knowing that we were responsible, was, heartbreaking. And really, a tragically painful conversation. I just said, I'm sorry. I'm so, so so sorry. I will understand if you no longer love me and no longer want me in your life. "WE ALONE KNOW THE TRUTH"

LYLE MENENDEZ: Was just very tragic for me personally. That something that I was doing to try to keep a secret for coming out - was the reason Erik my brother then said and, and Leslie… well now you have to. Your obsession with keeping this thing secret caused you to write this thing that the prosecution have got their hands on and now you have to tell why. I remember pleading with my brother not to let Leslie Abramson take him down that road.

ERIK MENENDEZ: Leslie was an extremely smart and wise woman. She knew that we were keeping really horrible secrets. And, I needed to get to an emotional space where I could talk about what happened.

ERIK MENENDEZ: When I first met Dr. Vicary, I saw him as another Dr. Oziel. I didn't know who to trust. And I had my brother telling me "Don't trust any of them."

LYLE MENENDEZ: I would much rather lose the murder trial than talk about our past and what had happened.

LYLE MENENDEZ: People who have such small contact with my father saying "this was the most intimidating worst human I've met in my whole life." So thats why there was zero character witnesses on my parents' behalf. Why couldn't you find that one person? Because they don't exist.'

LYLE MENEDEZ: You know, the sports parent to some degree is a classical thing. But my father took it really to an extraordinary level. Because by the time I was eleven, he had decided that I needed to focus on Tennis. My father's strong belief was it would weaken my game to play a weaker player. I would not play with Erik. So Erik was weaker. Now Erik could train and play with me and get better but my father really didn't care about that.

ERIK MENENDEZ: He loved us but he believed that love needed to be earned. So, to be loved by him, we had to be worthy of that love and often that meant going through pain.

ERIK MENENDEZ: One of the misconceptions is that I did not love my father or love my mother. Uh, That is the farthest thing from the truth. I miss my mother tremendously. I wish that I could go back and talk to her. And give her a hug and tell her I love her and I wanted her to love me and be happy with me, and be happy that I was her son. And feel that joy and that connection. And I just want that. It's more difficult with my father. To me, as a boy, he was more than just a man. He was like the modern version of an ancient Greek God. He was different than any man I had ever met. And I simply idolized him. I wanted to be like him. But he was rarely a dad.

ERIK MENENDEZ: In time, Dr. Vicary revealed himself to be a kind compassionate gentle person. Letting me sit in silence until I felt safe enough to speak. It was Dr. Vicary.

And Dr. Burgess that I ended up slowly just coming clean and, telling everything that happened.

One of my very lovely mutuals and fellow spxepic fans recommended Craig as Posideon and the sheep as Guinea pigs (which is genius and I love btw) but then tweek as Polyphemus would be odd considering he’s Craig’s child. Polyphemus and his siblings are just giant Guinea pigs in this for now 😭

Calypso: Leslie Myers -> who better than her to be the manipulator and emotional torturer?

Tiresias (the prophet): Micheal (I just found out he doesn’t have a last name what) -> Tweek actually had this role first but Micheal honestly gives off emo dead prophet vibes.

Circe: Red McArthur OR Henrietta Biggle -> they both give off witchy girlboss vibes but im not sure which one of them would resort to lust for persuasion

Aeolus: Heidi Turner (?) OR Nichole Daniels -> I’m purely unsure of this because I also want to cast Heidi as Hera and Nichole would be a stand in (don’t get me wrong I love Nichole)

Zeus: Eric Cartman -> um. egotistical, sadistic maniac? Who does that sound like? I also like to make this epic au also a stick of truth au so Cartman is currently so powerful only because he currently possesses the stick.

Aphrodite: Bebe Stevens -> she was originally Circe and I still think she’d fit her pretty well too but I needed an Aphrodite and Ares stand in ship and Clybe was the only one that would fit

Ares: Clyde Donovan, for the shits and giggles 😭 -> I literally giggle every time I think of this casting because Clyde the crybaby as Ares is hilarious. He literally only got this role cause of Bebe. But they are both arrogant so in works in that way I guess??

Hephaestus: Christophe the Mole -> passionate weapon master who is all about loyalty and war? Christophe.

Apollo: Jimmy Valmer -> we HAVE to give the role of music god to our local favourite bard

Hera: I was going to cast Heidi here too because Zeus as Cartman and Heidi as Hera and her part in God Games would fit PERFECTLY

Antinous: either Damien or Trent Boyett 😕 -> I needed angry characters that want power and these two are what I’ve got

Jason finally got off the bike when he reached the restaurant. He looked around. Tim was there. He looked exhausted. “Jay,” he said. Jason asked. “Hi bird. How did work go?” Tim said. “Busy but good,” Jason ruffled his hair. Tim hummed quietly. Jason said. “Okay, okay. Here you go,” he said, handing him the helmet. Tim put the helmet on and got in. Jason was on his way when Tim held onto his waist. They finally arrived at the clinic. They took off the helmet and got out. Tim was looking around. Jason asked. “Did you really never come here?” Tim shook his head. “But he took care of me in the cave after the JJ incident. Of course, I wasn’t fully conscious at the time,” he said. Jason said. “Speaking of Joker, I can’t wait to see him again. I’m going to put a bullet in his head.” Tim said. “Have fun,” he said in a flat tone. Jason’s lip twitched. “Thanks bird,” he said. They went inside. They went to the reception. Jason said "We have an appointment with Doctor Leslie". A voice said "You're here". Jason said "Doctor Leslie hello. Yes we are". Tim said "Hello" nervously. Leslie said "Hello". Then "Come with me" they went inside. Tim was late. Leslie said "Let's start with Jason first. His will take less time". Tim said "What exactly are we going to do" he said in a low voice. Leslie said "It will be a general check-up. You don't have any doctor check-ups". Tim nodded silently. Finally he started the check-up.

Barbara opened her phone screen and sent a message to Cass.

B-hey Cass can you come by today?

C-now? I was going to bed. What's the matter?

B-you don't have to come right now. Just come by today. It's about Tim.

C-I'm coming there. What's the matter? Is little brother okay?

B-well we found some records. It's about Tim. Jason and I thought you might want to see it

C- I'm on my way.

B – Okay. She wrote. Then she sent Dick the compilation of the recordings.

B- did you know this happened?

Finally, when Jason was done with the checkup, it was Tim's turn. Leslie asked, "Are you ready?" Tim said, "Yes, doctor." Leslie said, "If you want, Jason can come out and we can do a private checkup." Tim hesitated for a moment, then shook his head and said, "He can stay." Jason felt relieved to hear this. He wanted to be there to make sure he was okay. Leslie, okay, then we'll first measure your weight and height, then check your blood pressure, then start the physical exam, and then do the other checkups." Tim nodded. Leslie measured his height and weight first. His eyebrows were furrowed. Then he checked his blood pressure, and the numbers were good. When he was done, he asked him to take his clothes off. Tim took them off. Leslie started checking his body. His body was covered in scars. One particularly serious scar was on his back. His ribs were noticeably weak. When I took off his gloves, the crookedness of his fingers was obvious. Leslie asked, “How did these happen?” Tim said, “They broke a few times,” without expression. Jason was angry but remained silent. The same thing happened to Tim’s legs.

It had taken too long to finally get the full check-up done. Tim was exhausted. Leslie said, “It will take about a week for all the results to come back. Now, let’s get to the basics.” Tim was tense. Jason was sitting next to him. He had placed his hand on Tim’s shoulder soothingly. Leslie said, “I already have an idea of ​​your living conditions.” Tim said, “Yes,” without expression. Leslie asked, “What are your diet and sleep patterns?” Tim said, “I eat two regular meals a day these days, with snacks in between. My sleep pattern is usually between 12:00 and 8:00. I leave work around 10:00 or 11:00, then I eat, do my work, and go to bed.” Leslie asked, “So you work nights?” Tim said, “Yes, I work at a café, it’s open 24 hours.” Leslie nodded, “Which area do you live in?” Tim said, “Crime Alley.” Leslie said, “I understand, I’ll give you some medicine and vitamins to start. There’s no charge, try to eat regularly on a full stomach.” Tim said, “I’ll try.” Leslie said, “I’d like you to increase your meals if possible. Your height and weight are definitely inadequate due to your lack of eating for your age. You seem to be slowly getting back on track, though. You’re still dangerously thin right now. It’s also making your health worse.” Tim said, “I can handle it.” Leslie sighed, “I know, but it’ll make your life harder,” he said in a patient tone. Tim sighed, but finally said, “I’ll try.” Leslie nodded, “I can straighten your bones, but not for that,” he said. Tim said, “I know, and no, I’m fine, it’s healed, it’s a little crooked, but it doesn’t stop me. I only get pains when it’s really cold.” Leslie nodded. “You can come back in a week for the results the same day. I’ll leave it to you to get her here, Hood.” Jason said. “Okay, Doc.” Tim mumbled. “I could have come myself.” Jason said. “Yeah, yeah, let’s go, Bird.”

Prew:

It would never have happened if not for Dr. Fieldstone. Now, Leslie’s delighted about her joining the Richmond team on a more permanent basis – she works wonders with the lads (and one head coach who shall remain unnamed, if only because he’s still a little sensitive about seeing a therapist) – but it does mean that Leslie’s once more out of an office. Just for the moment, of course, until he can find a suitable space without kicking anyone else out of their room. It’s really no hassle. He’s doing fine on the bench just behind the recyling bins outside of the copy room.

Or he was, until Roy Kent stops by just on the other side of said bins and, seemingly entirely unaware of Leslie’s presence, starts fiddling with his phone in what can only be described as an angry way.

It’s Roy, so that’s nothing out of the ordinary, and Leslie’s just about to offer a friendly greeting when he hears the hollow rings of an outgoing call and ah, it’d be terribly rude interrupt, wouldn’t it? 

For a long moment there’s nothing but beep after beep and Roy’s muttered pick the fuck up you fucking prick and then—

“What the fuck do you want?” 

Jamie’s not on speaker, but the sound’s loud enough for Higgins to not only recognize the voice but to hear every word, and the jagged, slightly petulant edge to them. 

“Where the fuck are you?” Roy growls. 

“How’s that any of your business? Training’s fucking over for the day, Coach.” Spat, more or less.

“Don’t be a fucking— “ Roy cuts himself off. “I need to see you.”

“Why?” 

“Fucking hell! I wanted to… I want to fucking apologize, all right!” Roy sounds very, very annoyed about it.

“You can do that over phone. Or in a text.” Jamie sounds slightly less annoyed, but not by much.

Leslie dares crane his neck just so to sneak a peek at Roy’s face. Roy has closed his eyes, looking pained as he grits out a simple, strained: “No. I can’t.” 

“Why the fuck not?” 

Roy looks to the ceiling. Looks like he’d rather be anywhere else. Still he plods on, and Leslie feels a small surge of pity, small surge of pride. 

“Because you’ll want to hug me afterwards,” Roy says, “and you can’t fucking do that over phone, can you?” 

There’s a long pause. Leslie finds himself holding his breath, and not only because he’s halfway terrified he’ll start nervously gagging if this goes on for much longer. 

“Fine,” Jamie says eventually. “You can meet me back at my place in twenty.”

“Yeah, okay. Cheers.” 

A snort, somewhere between derisive and exasperated. “You better fucking hug me back.”

With that, Jamie hangs up. Roy takes a few deep breaths before stomping off and leaving Leslie to carefully consider what he’s overheard. Obviously something must have happened at training and if their head coach and star player have a proper falling out and Ted’s not there to talk some sense in them—

Eh. They’ll sort it out. Leslie returns to his e-mails.

-Jamie-is-Zava AU! In which Jamie never gets traded to Richmond. Instead he ends up at a different club, one that's meaner AND within driving distance of Manchester. Because this is Jamie, he never stops battling, and within three years he is an angry shell of the person but also an absolute killer as a striker. His relationship with his dad is also the worst its ever been. So the entire league is stunned - stunned! - when one Leslie Higgins runs into him in the bathroom during a match and jokingly says, "I don't supposed you'd ever want to play for a team like Richmond" and Jamie Tartt agrees! (Men really do be giving each other jobs in bathrooms)

-hockey Jamie! (this is based on nothing I just like hockey jerseys and ice skating)

-figure skater!girl!Jamie (based off someone’s previous post about a girl jamie getting pushed into it by her dad) Again, ice skates. outfits. but now also with music. Also Jamie being stuck in another high-control environment. Ough.

-bartender Jamie! He got injured in the academy and, well, bars are really the only other place his dad ever dragged him, so it was easy enough to get a job, wasn't it? And it's not like he doesn't get tipped well. He's a handsome lad and great at charming people (makes him uncomfortable sometimes when it's the older women flirting with him, but he doesn't like to think about that much)

-bartender Jamie again! This time with an accompanying Roy Kent who is also a bartender because neither of them 'made it out.' Roy is a tired, overworked line cook who has had it up to HERE with this new guy who works the front of house. Makes him want to spit in the guy's shift meal, but he'd never do that to the food (which he at least respects). And well, sometimes the guy looks a little desperate about the shift meal. Roy's been there - was there the whole time he was helping his sister with Phoebe while she was getting her nursing degree. Didn't mean he signed up to teach him to cook. But they did just lose another line cook. Fuck.

-lawyer jamie! He wants to make sure people like his dad don’t happen to other people. He brings a very Boston Legal energy to Roy's The Practice energy. Keeley is a paralegal. Rebecca owns the firm now. Ted is HR.

-criminal profiler Jamie! Going full Criminal Minds here people! Heavy on the themes, and the whole 'using your trauma to profile the unsub' thing, and the 'we don't profile each other (except for when we do)

-CSI Jamie! But it’s the fake CSI where they are borderline detectives and he keeps getting threatened/kidnapped. He is basically the Nick Stokes of the crew

-Rockstar Jamie! He got famous because of his face but he actually IS talented! But they won’t let him play any ‘real’ music and he has loads of anger he’d like to scream about thanks. He's always wanted to work with Roy Kent, but Roy's old band notoriously broke up in the messiest fucking manner and Roy's been working in a limited, behind the scenes fashion ever since (and fucking loathes the sort of music Jamie makes).

-Movie star Jamie! He’s a palatable actor, but what he secretly really wants to do is direct. Meanwhile former indie-darling director Roy who had a string of failures got low-balled into directing this run-of-the-mill drama. When the first actor dropped out without warning, Keeley called in a favor to get her somewhat-famous ex-boyfriend to star in it instead and he will not. stop. giving. Roy. notes.

his thighs and tummy are his worst spots, and both just absolutely destroy him

he can and will attempt to acrobat his way out of tickling

he 100% once tried to front flip away from Tim when he was trying to tickle dick and jason ended up catching him upside down in the air (and tim totally took advantage)

absolutely the family tickle monster because it is his oldest brother duty

the only sibling that damian actually lets tickle him (because he kind of loves tolerates dick)

Duke

Absolutely the type to accidentally hurt you when you tickle him

If you get his neck? he's karate chopping you. his ribs? he'll elbow you

i hc that jason and duke are close because i think duke would be really into literature too (i think he'd be a big poe fan!!) and they would bond over spending hours in the Wayne manor library

as a result, i think jason tickles duke the most, but i think damian has been indexing moments that he witnesses so he can "accidentally" tickle duke later (bc, despite what he would say, he is a softie and wants to make sure that duke feels like he's a part of the family as much as everyone else is)

i think his worst spots are his ribs and his thighs, but he gets really panicked and giggly when someone tries to go for his neck

i think he's a really timid and considerate ler, and that he's probably stopping every minute or so to make sure the lee is alright (which his siblings find INCREDIBLY flustering)

Damian

he is just a tiny little dude, just an angry tiny guy

he is, like most twelve year olds, ticklish everywhere, but he only ever lets dick or bruce tickle him, and SOMETIMES, jason

his laugh is so cute, and he snorts pretty much the entire time

it embarrasses him incredibly, but he physically cannot fight back when he's tickled, he just kind of lays there and giggles

he does in fact use tickling to his advantage in the manor, and has been known to tickle tim to tears

like steph, i think he secretly knows exactly where everyone is ticklish (except for jason, who, as usualy, remains elusive)

Tim

my sleepy boy, top of my kin list, i am such a tim stannie

99% of the time that he's tickled it's because he is refusing to sleep after 24+ hours working

he's horrendously ticklish pretty much everywhere but his ribs are the absolute worst

he tries really hard to fight back, and he's definitely a flailer, but ultimately he never gets very far and eventually just slumps and tries to curl up

dick, steph, and jason tickle him the most, but bruce puts in his fair share too

when someone tries to tease him he tries to scream through his laughter so he doesn't have to hear it, but ultimately, he is forced to listen

he's not much of a ler, but he will strike every once in a while

Jason

i hc that the lazarus pit made him more sensitive, but only bruce, dick, kori, roy, and leslie thompkins know about it, and he has sworn them all to secrecy

the same group are pretty much the only people who know where he's ticklish

actually really ticklish if you can get him pinned, but otherwise he is definitely successfully fighting off any tickle attacks

dick has one method from when they were kids where he'll get jason up against a wall, whether he be on a bed or trapped in on the couch, because the tickling will make jason too weak to try to vault over him (and it's MUCH easier than trying to pin his ass down)

he is definitely the most vicious ler of the house, and his teases absolutely mortify his siblings

his signature move is grabbing both wrists of an unsuspecting family member, hauling them over their head, and tickling them to tears with his free hand

Summary: They were all depressed and desperate that they needed Change

Chapter 3: Red Chaos in town

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Screamed a random lady by her house.

The town was fighting and arguing so much that the sound of yelling and screaming increased minute after minute.

The gang was in their tree house looking down below at the fighting, they were worried and scared about thier own parents getting hurt ir even killed.

They all jumped at the sound if gun shots up ahead, it was the police yelling and ordering the parents to get back to thier homes.

Some men tried to atack Leslie and his team but it was no use, before they knew it the were in the back of police cars hand cuffed.

The kids got down the tree house and tried to sneek their way out of the scene but were caught.

"You FIVE come here, now!" Yelled Leslie

The kids turned around and walked towards Leslie and his partner.

"You Five should be with your parents, its not safe out here you know?" He said. Delroy stood up and responded "Oh yeh? Than why are you out here? Its not like your helping anyone Dumbass." He sais rolling his eyes

Then Leslie got to Delroy's level and grabed his cheeks and made him look at him.

"Didn't your Aunt ever taught you to be respectful? I can put you behind bars if I wanted to" he whispered in Delroy's ear.

Delroy pull away from Leslie's grip and rubbed his cheek, Leslie's hold hand left a little red mark on his cheek.

"Now I say how about all of you get to your parents, now." Leslie demanded

The gang looked at eachother and walked away going to thier homes.

Trinity walked inside her home and looked around, she was full with anger and disapointment.

"That fucker" she whsipered to herself, she was about to stop her way into her room until she heard her dad crying in his room.

Her anger disapered and her face turned into a worried face as she saw her father just sitting their with his hands on his face.

She walked inside the room, when she got close enough she asked in a quite voice "Dad, you okay?"

He looked up to see her and pulled Trinity into a hug and wiped his tears.

"You're mom is in the hospital sweety." He said. Trinity felt her heart drop to her stomach.

She couldn't believe it, her own mother in the hospital. Did she have a heart attack or something. I mean she didn't like her mom and she also somewhat hated her.

But that didn't mean that she would wish or want her mom to be in the hospital.

"What happened dad?" She asked in a sad tone. Her dad looked away "I don't want to talk about right now sweaty." He said

Trinity didn't puss it and just nodded and left the room walking her way into her room.

Hours passed and all she heard outside was gunshoots and people still yelling, the yelling decreased a bit, but it still was going on.

She wanted it to end, but it wasn't over. Who knows when or how the loud noise was going to end.

She opened the window not expecting a cloud of smoke to come in through her window. She quickly closed her window and cleared the smoke away.

"What is going on out there?" She asked herself.

There were cars crashed into lights and other cars. That same bakery truck just ran someone over, AGAIN.

She knew somthing was up to no good, and she also knew Crow Face and their cult had to do something to do with all this chaos in town.

She really missed Maritza, she was so brave and cool, she always had this smile that showed power in her.

The gang and her tried to find out who killed Mari but Enzo seemed Nervous and angry.

Did he have something to do with with his sister's death, what was he hidding, why was he so nervous to run out?

All these qustions got deeper and deeper into thought.

Finch was right, Enzo had to do something with Maritza's death in order to be THIS nervous.

She then heard a big bang outside. Leslie had shot a man for atempting to attack, there was blood everywhere, on the roads, and street lights, blood was everywhere.

She threw the middle finger out at Leslie so he could she but he only gave her a slight look before walking away.

She then heard her phone ring and she anwsered it, it was Ivan

"TRINITY CALL THE REST OF THE GANG AMD MEET ME AT THE OLD KIDS PARK! I HAVE A TOOL THAT CAN HELP US!"

Jessa Lore Characters (in cool roblox concept form cause i do not have the energy to sketch any of these little fuckers)

Cathy Rivera: Jessa’s former best friend from when she was enrolled in a human high school. Originally an outcast with a heart of gold, good natured, and slightly paranoid, Cathy eventually grew decently jaded and bitter after dealing with all of Jessa's demon bullshit. Her and Jessa aren't on good terms anymore, and haven't seen each other in ages.

Zachry Flores: Went to high school with Jessa, and was a good friend of hers. Obsessed with growing his shitty rock band, he'd definitely be that one guy that'd ask you to "name three songs" if he ever spotted you wearing a band tee. He eventually developed feelings for Jessa, and after an abusive and turbulent relationship, she ended up killing him after he discovered the truth about what she really is, although it was mainly in self defense.

Leslie Delaney: Envision every single campy but kinda iconic Disney Channel mean girl you've ever seen, and you'll get her. Despite starting out as Jessa's main rival and nuisance in school, the pair eventually grew quite close. Especially after she dug up information on Jessa's past.

Ms. Touko Arslanyan: Jessa’s prescribed therapist while she was being held in the Morning Star Youth Correctional Facility. Kind, patient, and tragically naive and optimistic, she wished to help Jessa in any way she could. Take a wild guess as to how that went. (Based off of the therapist from the Serial Experiments Lain PS1 Game, which honestly pretty much inspired that whole part of Jessa's story tbh)

Vlux: A Wrath Demon that Jessa eventually summoned during a rather lonely and depressive time in her life. (Like, a month or so before getting Devil Train'ed.) A weapons specialist from Hell that stole high-quality and dangerous weapons from the rich to sell back to the poor for a more accessible price. Him and Jessa grew quite close, and eventually started a relationship. She eventually lashed out at him one night, due to the stress and toll that turning into Zeleria was putting on her. As a result, he literally kicked her out of her motel room, and left her to her own devices. (I wanted to give him a kinda old-tech steampunky look, but Roblox had shit choices for that, so I just said fuck it and made him a spiky goth thing goddamnit :( )

Satan: <redacted ruh roh raggy> (don't worry he's a good person I just have no clue how to shortly summarize all the stuff that happens with him, I'll do it in her lore posts tho yay)

(I kinda wanted to go for a whole "so angry and filled with rage that it burned out and turned to ash" look, which is why he's all white and grey and shit. I dunno if that makes sense, I just didn't wanna do the usual red. Also in Jessa's lore, Lucifer and Satan are two different dudes or whatever, I dunno if that aligns with Daisy World/Everything Else lore but eh it should be fine maybe sorta)

I just found you venom!steph stuff and I absolutely love it! Would you be willing to share a bit about this whole idea?

BOY WOULD I. I’ve got a few things I need to wrap up before I can really dig in properly to this AU but I have SO MANY IDEAS.

The basic concept is that it’s a canon divergence at the end of War Games, where Steph nearly dies (as normal) but instead of the whole faking-her-death-and-going-to-Africa-with-Leslie thing she instead acquires a symbiote that bonds to her and heals her and now she’s super strong/fast/tough/agile and can basically shapeshift and they proceed to make it everyone’s problem.

So you’ve got Steph being angry and traumatized by the whole tortured-almost-to-death thing and also dealing with the fact that Tim is right back out as Robin as if nothing happened to her. (Nobody is a reliable narrator in this story, I should mention right up top.) And then I’m still solidifying exactly what I want to do with it, but my current thinking for the symbiote is that it’s also had its own run in with Batman (probably without Bruce really knowing about it or recognizing what it was) and has its own grudge, so you get that great relationship of the two of them bonding and then proceeding to be just the worst influence on each other, specifically with regard to their Bat Hate. Plus Steph knows who all the Bats are and they all think she’s dead. It’s a great time for everyone!

(I’m definitely playing fast and loose with the Marvel canon half of things and mostly just inserting a symbiote into the DC universe, and not necessarily THE Venom symbiote although that’s easier shorthand. But there are also definitely some parallels there between like. The idea of Steph blaming Batman for everything that’s happened and how that’s maybe not entirely unfair but also she definitely did make her own mistakes that led to things vs. Eddie’s whole thing with blaming Peter for ruining his life even though he did, objectively, mess things up his own self Peter is just how he got caught.)

(Also there’s definitely some parallels between Steph and Eddie in terms of the whole “having a shitty dad and being desperate for approval and willing to do some unwise things in trying to get it” thing. Just saying. I think that’s part of the whole “give her a symbiote” thing for me is that she spent so long trying so hard to be good enough and gain the approval of others and falling short and I think having that immediate connection where she doesn’t need to do anything different or be better by some impossible metric, she’s already exactly what the symbiote needs and wants, would be a big factor in her bonding so closely with it.)

So yeah, Steph with a symbiote who knows who all the Bats are while they think she’s dead becomes a real Problem for them, obviously. They’re pretty anti-Bat, between Steph’s recent history and the symbiote’s own experiences, so that’s a fun thing to play with, but then there’s also lots of other complicated relationships because obviously it’s not JUST Batman out there.

I think Tim especially is a messy one and her feelings about him swing pretty wildly depending on the moment. I imagine she probably spends some time needling him about her own death trying to get a reaction out of him, which he probably is trying to not give her because he doesn’t know yet who she is and thinks she’s just a new villain who knows way too much about them, so I’m sure that goes great. (On the other hand, I can definitely see her doing like a surprise coming-to-the-rescue thing, partly because it is still Tim and she doesn’t actually want him dead or seriously injured and partly because it’ll throw him off his game and be funny to psych him out.)

Cass is probably a little more straightforward because their relationship wasn’t quite as messy before she died but I also think there was probably a bit of resentment Before, where Cass excelled without any apparent effort at so many things that mattered to them while Steph struggled to even slightly keep up, which is probably only heightened by everything else that’s happened. On top of that there’s Cass’s extremely inflexible moral code causing problems. I do think Cass is the one who actually realizes who Steph is, because she’s different now and it’s wrong in a kind of uncanny valley way but still recognizable. (This does not immediately fix anything, because Cass still has very firm ideas of what Steph SHOULD be doing or not doing and Steph, at least at first, does not want to hear it.)

My thought is that there is an eventual shift where Steph reconsiders things and decides she doesn’t want to keep doing what she’s doing. (It’s probably helped by the fact that she misses Cass, and sometimes Tim, but that’s only part of it. I think the other part is her realizing she’s a little too like her own father and not wanting to be that anymore.) Which is obviously a long and messy ordeal to reach any level of reconciliation after everything.

(I confess I haven’t decided how the whole “Jason’s Red Hood Rampage” plot point fits into this AU. XD Eventually I’ll sit down and decide if/how I want any intersection there but. We’ll see. I feel like Steph would have absolutely negative patience for any of Jason’s bullshit given her own experience, honestly.)

The really fun part of this (well, one of them, but the one I’ve already written a couple times because it’s obviously the part my brain really latched onto) is the idea of Steph in this universe after Bruce’s death, because she definitely has some feelings about that, but also her relationship with Dick (such as it is) is not at all the same thing as her relationship to Bruce. But now Dick is Batman and there’s some instinct-level reactions there, especially on the symbiote’s part, so I think that’s fun.

PLUS we get the addition of Damian, and I am always and forever on my Steph and Damian bullshit. And I’m just very fond of the idea of slightly-more-anti-hero-than-villain Venom!Steph finding the mean, stabby child adorable and deciding that if there has to be a Robin (because she can’t really stop them) she’s going to make damn sure there aren’t any more dead ones after her.

(Of course, if you’re following the canon course of events that will go super great eventually, but shhh it’s fine.)

(Dick, obviously, has more than enough going on in his life and isn’t thrilled about this but if it means the quasi-reformed-villainous-alien-goo-monster is looking out for Damian instead of attacking him he’s sort of willing to accept that for the time being.)

This is probably very rambly despite my efforts to organize my thoughts a bit, but I just have so many feelings about the idea of Steph getting superpowers and a symbiote buddy and getting to have a little villain arc and a subsequent redemption(ish) anti-hero-y arc and all the mess of her relationships to the various Bats. I have a ton of little moments and ideas floating around and jotted down and one of these days I’m going to clear my current WIPs enough to really sit down and work on it and I cannot wait.
