A while back, my friend asked me what I thought my writing style was. It's been something that has been sitting on my mind for a while, but I think I finally got to an answer. I'm putting this on here because, one, I like talking about myself, and two, I have a bad memory so if I'm ever asked this question again, I have something to refer to.

Simply put, my writing style, at least for longer fics, can best be described as opening a can of worms and then wrapping them up prettily into a present. My main goal when writing a fic is to introduce tension, then bring it to catharsis. Majority of my fics will have a central core theme. This theme can be a statement, problem, point, etc. By the end of the fic, my goal is to reaffirm the theme, explain it, subvert it, or bring it to closure. However, because I want my fic to be akin to a present, I try to wrap everything up as satisfyingly as I can.

One can say that introducing conflict and resolving it is the form for every story out there, but I specifically want my fics to bring about catharsis. I want the ending to give endorphins. I want it to feel good. I want it to feel right. I want it to be a proper ending. I want it to be the mic drop at the end of a killer slam poetry performance. I'm not saying I'm good at it, but I want the ending of my fics to be a statement that there is absolutely no doubt about what my story is about.

I'll say this again. I'm not necessarily good at it, but the way I try to achieve this is primarily through the manipulation of tension. I do my best to frame everything, from the sequence of the events to the wording of my sentences, to keep an ongoing sense of tension through the fic. You as the audience is tasked to deal with this tension. However, it is through this emotional labor that when the tension is finally resolved, the ending feels better because it was deserved. I want my audience to feel that the work they put in was worth it.

However, this is not so simply done. As before, the ending of a fic needs to be framed properly. There should not be any loose threads or worms wriggling around. So then comes the question of how does one do this? I'll be honest, there are many different ways, and despite this, I still have a difficult time. My favorite way is through parallels. I enjoy making a direct parallel between the ending and the theme or the beginning of the fic. Either way, you should feel goosebumps from the ending you choose. You should be proud of it. That's the only way you know you did it right.

Some examples of things that fall into this writing style is What Destiny Has Brought. The theme is self-worth and self-acceptance. The parallel is first Fischl giving her true name to reader. And ends with reader giving her name back to her. In Follow the Wind (part one/part two), the theme is control and fear of change. The parallel is that you start off forever running after him, but in the end when he finally lets you in, you overtake him. In Slitherer-Outer, the theme is that Zhongli never pays for anything and here's proof! However, the end of the story chucks that whole premise out the window in the rudest way possible.

Having dinner with your ex is an awkward event, especially if it's your own kid who asked for the event to take place. Yn can't say no to her son, whom she hasn't been with for almost 15 years; it's the least she can do for him. As she got ready, the boys waited for her downstairs as they watched a show on the TV. A doorbell rang just after she went downstairs. She opened the door and met the eyes of the man who is not only the father of her children but also the guy she still deeply loves and cares about despite being apart for more than a decade. They got in his car and drove to the restaurant. The car ride was filled with the boys playfully teasing each other as she looked at the rear mirror. She was met with a scene she didn't think could be possible after all these years. Her twin sons are playfully bantering as Heeseung hums to the tune of the song playing on the radio. It felt like a family enjoying the weekend and having dinner together. A complete family she had wished she could have fought for in the past.

They stepped into the restaurant and sat at their table. The boys were busy looking at the menu while the two tried to avoid each other's glances. As the waiter got their orders and, after awhile, came out with their food. They peacefully ate while the boys shared stories while they were in the camp. She can see that the boys indeed have a bond with each other despite being apart for such a long time. It pains her that this could have been their reality if things had turned out okay. It was time for dessert, and Heeseung excused himself to go to the restroom, which she quickly followed as she instructed the boys to wait for them. As she found him, she quickly grabbed his arm and asked him if she could talk to him in a private area.

"What do you want us to talk about?" he asked. "I think we should tell them; I can't bear waiting any longer to see them not know about their situation, she responded. Heeseung gave her a reassuring smile and said, "Okay, if that's what you want, then we can tell them. They deserve to know about it." — "Thank you. We should wait and tell them when we arrive in my place since we are still in public, to which he nodded and agreed. They got back to the table, and the boys were just talking as they saw their parents. She told them that her and Ni-ki's dad would tell them about something. The ride back was silent as the boys felt nervous for what was about to happen.

"So, what do the both of you want to tell us?" Jungwon asked as they all sat on the sofa. "Okay, me and Heeseung have been hiding something. I know this might come as a surprise and if you two are angry or feel betrayed by the both of us, its completely understandable. Jungwon and Ni-ki, the both of two are twins. Ni-ki, I understand if you feel hatred towards me. I been nothing but an useless mom to you. I failed to give you the right to experience to have a mother. I as your mother would like to apologize deeply. I know my apology doesn't make up for the 15 years but I hope you know that I always have you in my mind. I prayed everyday that you and your dad are safe. That you're eating well and growing into a respectfully man. I'm always proud of you and I'm grateful to be your mother." as she spoke Ni-ki cant help his eyes to tear up. He finally found his mom, the woman for whom he had longed for a long time. He can finally have someone he can call 'Mom', or someone who will shower him with affection. The day had come, and he was the happiest he had been for the longest time. "Can I hug you?" he spoke to her, and she opened her arms as the boy hugged his mom. "I've been wishing to feel your hug for the longest time. Whatever reason you and dad have, you can just explain to us next time. I just want to hug right now. Also, does this mean I can call you 'Mom' and taste your meals?" the boy finally looked at his mom, who shared the same tearful eyes as she looked at him: "Yes, Sweetheart. You can call me 'Mom, and I will cook you anything that your heart desires. Anything for my baby." as she placed a kiss on his forehead.

As the scene unfolds in front of Jungwon. He can't help but look at Heeseung, who is sitting near him. His dad is within arms reach; he can't believe he can finally meet him. He got up and hugged him tightly. "I can't believe I can finally hug you, Dad, he said while the older male hugged him tighter. "Me too, Kid. Me and your mom want to apologize about everything. The both of you don't deserve this but we can't undo the past anymore. Let me make for years I wasn't there for the both of you." Heeseung replied, "Thank you for telling us. As Ni-ki said, just explain to us next time. I want to be with you, I really want to be close to you." he said as Heeseung caressed his hair and placed a kiss on top of his head while hugging him. The day ended on a good note. There were many emotions poured out, and the four of them hugged together. The family is finally complete.

Hysterical that Dib takes this whole “Earth’s Savior”, Men in Black, alien-fighting larp he’s got going on against Zim so seriously, and then the very second he had the guy’s actual leaders on a video call, it took one insult to turn him back into an average 12 year old threatening to swat someone over an online game match.

Zim’s constantly the butt of the show’s humor for being such a bad and unsubtle invader but honest to god as if Dib could do much better in his position if this is what first contact with the enemy rulers looks like. At least the Resisty tried.

rayman, eden's feel good american dream story; an analysis

guess who's back with taking ubisoft's silly guys and cutting them open. yknow, if you strip rayman of his personality, of all the behind the scenes we get of him, we get a run of the mill news reporter that is an immigrant, who by face alone serves as a shining ray of hope. he's easily something that by all means, can be classified as a diversity hire. immigrant, nonhuman (which in the world of clh can be considered to be equated with poc irl), and notably the only one in his work environment. don't believe me?

we rarely ever see anyone other than rayman on the show in the form of a coworker. the only time we do see other eden affiliated people, they are both white. "but you can't see red's face!!" there is a reason his dialogue makes you think of more right leaning people with their claims of 'wokeness is destroying everything' under something like april from tmnt being black and not ginger. he's a caricature meant to represent a specific group of people under fascism; those who have successfully consumed the fearmongering and have let it turn from fear of those that they are told are beneath them into hatred for them. there is also the fact that on live tv he throws up a middle finger, refers to an implied group of immigrant people as 'filthy interdimensional alien scum,' and seemingly gains no backlash for it. yes, the other reporter does try to give red a chance to go back on his words, but he sticks to it. and despite all of this, we get no indication that neither red nor the niji 6 had to apologise or received punishment for this. in fact, red is possibly given more chances by eden due to him being weirdly in charge of bullfrog's containment in a way? (i'm not entirely sure WHY he was there, but as he is one of eden's tv personalities, he's at a possibly televised trial of a terrorist.) now if you compare this to rayman, who also acted inappropriately on tv by literally saying fuck, you'd come to realise that rayman was treated so much more harshly. he was IMMEDIATELY replaced by a clone of himself, with no warning nor any indication that eden would do such a thing. it's very likely this was one of, if not the first time that rayman has slipped up like this on live tv. maybe it's a repeat offence considering his personality, but then you could argue that red is a repeat offender of the same shit and then you have to wonder why a soldier like red was not easily replaced but someone who is the literal face and voice of eden was with ease. it's because rayman made himself more than jus a story, he humanised himself by showing a peek of his raw feelings. remember that cute little exposition of the rayman kids show about hybrids? where we see all of these hybrids working as society's grunts and the kids are told to be thankful for hybrids? it's very sweet and gives a good message! now the rayman kids show is a product of eden propaganda, but rayman very much has a hand in it, most likely as a writer. he uses his platform to speak on issues that has happened and affected him. this can be seen in his biopic.

jus sit with this image for a moment. you ever think about why rayman is specifically made as an alien? why he's specifically an immigrant? in real life news reports and speeches, there is a difference in implications when people use immigrants and not aliens. you wanna know why?

as someone apart of an immigrant family myself, i live in a community of other immigrants. majority of them are hispanic, and while i myself am not hispanic, i am very aware of how hispanic immigrants were referred to and treated by politicians under trump's presidency. how couldn't i? even as children in middle school and elementary, we had discussions about what trump was saying because it directly targets my friends and their families. they are people targeted by a man who specifically uses derogatory terms to dehumanise them, to make it easier to justify in the average american mind that the government is doing the right thing by keeping out and protecting america from these so-called 'invading animals.' makes what red was saying earlier feel very on the nose, right? adi shankar, the showrunner for captain laserhawk, is also an immigrant man. immigrated from india, which by the way, did you know has a lot of people immigrating for the purpose of having a better life? that's a common sentiment that can be found in every single immigrant family's story. i've asked my filipino mother why she took an opportunity to live and work in america, and she told me it's because she wanted to give her children a better life than what we would have had in the philippines. hell, i bet if you share a similar background to me, you can ask your own parents the same thing and get the exact same answer, regardless if you came from latin america or africa, or asia. it's because of the concept of the american dream. everyone who has ever engaged with any degree of immigrant discussion has heard of the american dream. it's a concept that seems to be consistently proven via word of mouth, with the biggest examples being celebrities. they will always, without fail, eventually speak about the american dream within their backstories. and typically, they will use their platforms to further empower others within their community. it's why people from specific ethnicities tend to group together, why people make art meant as something akin to a homage to their people. it provides hope to the masses, makes you relate to the person on the screen, and believe that this society is truly a gracious one by providing opportunity. because yeah, it may be bad, but it could be worse. i mean we appreciate you! just look!

dont mind the fact that the majority of opportunities allotted to you is grunt work, the work where you at the base of the pyramid, with the harder jobs and the jobs no one wants to do. dont mind the fact you will be actively dehumanised, forced to work for hours in conditions we wouldn't put anyone else in, but hey. we appreciate you. we thank you. and yknow, you can become more than what you are. yknow, we let someone just like you be more than what you are! nevermind the fact that if they slip up, they'll be met with MUCH harsher criticism in comparison to someone who isn't you! aren't we so gracious? i probably sound a bit like matpat's insane out of context real world examples, but this show is filled with political imagery, so let me be. anyways, let's get back to eden and rayman. rayman, despite being specifically from dimension x as an alien, keeps hybrids in mind when he's doing his work.

people of colour tend to share solidarity with one another due to the fact that surface wise, we share similar struggles. to grossly oversimplify things, we all face discrimination through our appearances and are oppressed by the rules of a society created by our white oppressors. again, hybrids and dimension x immigrants can be equated to irl poc, and despite being different from each other, there is still community. rayman keeps them in mind, hoping to make things better for the overall nonhuman and nonnative (native as in naturally born) population of eden. but, rayman is not what he believes he is. because despite everything he has worked for, despite what he has tried to do, he is still a facilitator of the fascist regime that has an active hand in the perpetual oppression of his own people. one of the core concepts within fascism is us versus them. it's an easy way to instill fear (which is very much needed in fascism to make it easier to lie to the masses) and it's used in multiple layers, beginning with a large group (ex. us versus ussr, capitalism vs communism), then progressively sizing down (ex. saying all eastern europeans are communist, then going smaller and say all those affiliated with eastern europeans are communist) with the goal being to put people against each other and break up community since if you put your minds together, you'll start to realise that the fascist system is bullshit. what i've personally come to find is that in order to hide the fact that there is fascism lurking is that someone that can be considered a 'them,' an other, will be given a seat at the table. it's so they can be used as an excuse, a human shield, when they inevitably slip up and can be paraded to the masses as proof that the other is not as smart or powerful as 'us.' the 'other' within the 'us' is used as something to look down at, while also justifying to oneself that they have a place, that they are not being oppressed. they have an opportunity as much as anyone else! so long as they don't mess up. rayman messes up, and is shunned from 'us.' hes a mistake, impure, clearly not like 'us,' 'us' who had been so gracious to give this 'other' a place. he's cut out and discarded because he has well worn his purpose, and clearly, they can just get another little puppet. they'll dress him up and make him worthy of being one of 'us,' and make sure that this one won't fall to the fault of his little ideas. which is exactly what leads to rayman's transformation of ramon. being forcibly forced out and discarded by eden because he showed his true ideas makes him realise that there was no real place for him within the system. because what good is his work if it leads to what he tried not to create? it's worthless, just as the system it attempts to thrive in is.

tl;dr, rayman is a representation of the american dream, specifically celebrities. he tries to do what he can with his platform, but the fact is that within a fascist system, his impact is not entirely felt in the way he wants it to. that is why he becomes ramon.

The music sheet on the piano is the sheet music for the Oblivion soundtrack of the game. I also wonder why P chooses to play that particular piece that he plays as his humanity increases, why is it stuck in your head P?....on to another Carmeo doodle! I mean seriously the first few notes of the Estella Opera theme sound like humanity level 1 P trying the piano....like there's this specific tune in his mind. Like the two used to play together or Carlo the bougie being good at playing would teach Romeo, the kid from the streets. And the whole level P would hear that tune ....operafied and extra because it's Romeo, cmon, but also as a reminder like -Hey...remember, buddy?

Just for reference purposes, when exported directly, Romeo is a giant at almost 9 ft - while P is about 6'4" when not constantly in battle stance. But Sophia and every other NPC in Krat is also about 6 feet when directly exported so the characters aren't made to scale - youngest of the BRBH is as tall as Sophia without ears. I read somewhere that Carlo is supposed to be around 5'3" on average and 5'6" at the tallest (people being shorter back then etc....our short king) so in my headcanon for my doodles reference I scaled Romeo to be about 5'10", just a bit taller than Carlo. Idk why I make him taller but there's something about his nickname Lampwick which just meant that he's skinny and polished looking in the original context but it got in my head that he's just tall and skinny and I'm rolling with it. Funny that his puppet form is so rusted and kinda clunky and raggedy looking for someone so well put together presumably before he died. The most unruly of Pinocchio's friends but also the nicest guy in this universe--- don't get me started on Romeo again gigachad of a friend///

Also something you can't really see ingame cuz resolution but irl all records are by Trilogy Records and Feel in particular is "Song of Vamp, Rosa Milan" ....no clue what it means.

Question: Blue hair Sophia or Brown hair? Short hair P or long hair P? (I like short hair because it's an iconic look and the devs clearly spent a lot of time fine tuning it when you look at the trailers lol, long hair to me just feels so....basic) Also P's hair is aktschually brown.....it just looks really dark ingame and in all the artwork they just chose to make it black-looking. So Carlo and P technically have the same hair, he just doesn't have P's freckles which....a choice was made by Geppetto and I respect it.

As Gracie said in her post he’s very spontaneous which could be difficult but I think he’d be a pretty decent boyfriend. He doesn’t really discuss his love life but when he was with Katie they seemed to be happy. I also think that once he got into a serious relationship he’d be the type of guy to settle down + he has spoken a few times about having kids and others speak highly of him when it comes to how he is with Olive, for me that’s a green flag💞.

We don’t know loads about Vik’s relationship but he seems respectful and I think (from what I’ve seen) him and Ellie are well suited for each other. They have a house, dog and are married which is cute🐶.

3- KSI

For me JJ is pretty high on my list. Whenever he speaks about his girlfriend on side+ it’s always lovely things. I know that they broke up for a little while but it seemed like a healthy break up and not really toxic or anything. Overall I think he’s probably a great bf😌.

2- Zerkaa

I love Josh and Freya’s relationship! I think they’re so cute together and the fact they’re high school sweethearts🥹. Josh seems like a brilliant boyfriend. They go on holidays together, she’s in his vlogs and whenever he talks about her they’re relationship always sounds really healthy.

1- Miniminter

Simon is number one because Talia and his relationship is basically what I’d want. They seem to care deeply about each other. They don’t share loads about their love life but they don’t need to, you can just tell they’re great together by seeing their playful banter and the way they interact. He also seems present and he makes sure everything’s fair, like him and Talia take turns looking after the dogs to make sure the other can do what they need to do (I know that’s a basic thing but it was just an example)💝.

Skylark's Apple Log: Cosmic Crisp

I don't really know why I'm doing this. I was having a nice conversation with my good friend Katy about the importance of putting apples in the fridge so you can enjoy a cold apple, and barely an hour went by before she suggested I make a physical (Digital?) log of my insights and share them with the internet. I hesitated at first, but she insisted it was for the best, as people online might only know of me right now as some "sad boy pretty boy".

To which I said "Huh? What? What does that mean?" But right as she started to explain I suddenly decided I really didn't want to know and made some loud nonsense noises to buy me time to leave the room.

Anyways, I'm definitely no food critic. If you give me some cheese, some bread, a hard-boiled egg or two and like 4-6 apples, I'm good for the day. I'm not picky. I'd hate to put some misinformation out there (Discourse! Can you imagine?) so I've asked the very capable Chef Edgar Gallows to comment on what I say before I post it.

Today I'd like to talk about the Cosmic Crisp, which is absolutely in my top ten favorite apples. They're a hybrid bred in Washington in the late 90s. Did you know there are people who dedicate their whole careers to breeding apples? That was my dream job for a while when I was a kid, but I always struggled with science and apparently that type of work is entirely science. Anyways!

When I can have a Cosmic Crisp and some toast for breakfast, I'm a happy guy with lots of energy for the day ahead. And when it's fresh out of the fridge, it's crisp and chill, so no need for a morning juice. I like to use an apple slicer to make nice inform shapes, but those end up pretty thick, so I'll cut each slice to be about half-thickness. Doing this means you get a better bite to enjoy the flavor - and it also makes it seem like you have more apples to enjoy, which is always fun.

Cosmic Crisps are really big. There are bigger that exist - the Hanners Jumbo for instance, which is actually sold exclusively in Oregon where I live! But the girth of a Cosmic Crisp is certainly nothing to sneeze at. It's really fun, and frankly a great option if you're looking for the most bang for your buck at most average supermarkets. Sometimes it gets to be a little overwhelming, though, because I personally can only eat about three before I start getting a little grossed out. But if you're just eating one or two, this is very much a consistently satisfying variety in terms of sweetness and bite.

In my youth I resented the coloring of a Cosmic Crisp, believing that a red apple should commit to the hue. Now I appreciate the look of an apple that is definitely reminiscent of something grown off a tree, compared to a Red Delicious that mainly just looks like a child's crayon depiction of an apple given physical form by some cruel, confused God. And the crisp! Very crispy apple, potentially the crispiest I've experienced by far.

If you choose to enjoy a Cosmic Crisp apple, I highly suggest pairing it with a little bit of peanut butter, or just eating it on its own. It's very yummy.

I don't know how to end this! If you're reading this I hope you see a video of a cute animal on the internet. There are so many out there. Way more than I remember.

Chef's Note: I think I'm immediately unqualified to check this kind of writing for accuracy. Up until recently I thought all apples were either green or red. Even after being told otherwise I still kind of think that. It's pretty startling to know there is a person in existence who puts more thought into this type of thing than picking up an apple from a bag on the counter and taking a bite.

So after New Wish I started watching some random episodes of the og show, starting with the ones featuring Cosmo and Wanda’s families, which got me thinking of how those relationships could have evolved up to the new show. So here are some headcanons about it (2k words below):

The Cosmas:

For Cosmo’s relationship with his brother, I like to think they kept in touch after Schnozmo’s introduction, writing letters and seeing each other every so often, mainly at a bar or restaurant because 1. Wanda doesn’t want that man anywhere near her home (whether it’s their actual house or their godkid’s place) and 2. Schnozmo can convince his brother to pay for the two of them so might as well get a free meal out of it.

On that note, while they get along and would say they have a good relationship, Cosmo would definitely be a bit more guarded around Schnozmo, at least as in he understands why Wanda doesn’t want to be around him and he refuses to lend him any money knowing it won’t be paid back.

And outside of Cosmo, like I said Wanda doesn’t exactly like the guy. She can stand being in the same room as him and has no issues with Cosmo having a relationship with him but she doesn’t trust her BIL one bit. Schnozmo can sense her hostility and keeps his distance as a result, if he can’t get anything from her he’s not going to bother get on her good side.

As for Peri, Schnozmo strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn’t really like kids (at least he had the decency to save the baby in his episode but they don’t exactly interact outside of it) so I could see him make no effort in bonding with his nephew and tell Cosmo not to bring him along when they hang out. And once Peri’s grown, his uncle is basically a stranger so why should he care for the guy, likewise Schnozmo writes him off like he does Wanda.

With Mama Cosma things are a little bit more complicated. Ok so first off I know it’s not actually canon but rather something many people parrot but I really like the idea of Cosmo being 10 000 years old during the og show. This means that, with the knowledge he and Wanda had been married for over 9 000 years (I think the exact number is 9 895 years?), Cosmo only spend about 1/100 of his life with his mom before running off. So despite being a mama’s boy, he isn’t afraid to go no contact with her for a long period of time.

(More on the relationship between Cosmo and his mom in this post. Yeah I’m having a blast with the angst potential of Cosmo being one of the most powerful fairies out there but being considered both a danger and “waste of potential” due to being “dumber” than the average fairy)

But yeah during the events of the og show the two of them reunite and spend a lot of time together, with Mama Cosma especially coming in handy when they need someone to babysit Poof (she dealt with one overpowered baby, she can do with another one).

However, she’s basically playing doll with her grandson so by the time he turns 5-6 (if not earlier) and starts having his own opinions and as a result starts saying “no” to things, Mama Cosma does not take it well and becomes verbally abusive towards the kid. She also tells him there’s no use ratting her out to his parents in a mix of “they wouldn’t believe you” and “you don’t want to make your dad angry and sad do you?”.

Eventually Timmy hears about it and wastes no time telling Cosmo and Wanda, and Cosmo is pissed. So they go to the Cosma’s house, Cosmo tells his mom off because you know she wouldn’t listen to Wanda, some nasty things are said and Cosmo decides to cut contact with her again, this time more openly and making it clear it’s permanent and she better not try anything or she’ll regret it, especially since she knows how powerful her son is.

Also once they get back home Cosmo would profusely apologize to Wanda about never standing up for her. Because I like to think that Cosmo had always been pretty unhappy with how his mom acted towards his wife but chalked it up to Mama Cosma not having seen him in a long time and being a bit possessive as a result, hoping she would calm down with time and turning a blind eye when she didn’t. Wanda wouldn’t be too happy it took their son being hurt for Cosmo to do anything, but at least they’re finally done dealing with Mama Cosma.

So yeah after that they don’t have any contact. Maybe she’d try meeting them at some point only to be told off again (it’d be funny if she showed up like “I gave you some time to cool off son now about me getting back into your life” but she does it 20 years later because time just works differently when you’re immortal).

I could also see the possibility that, when Peri is well into his job and out of the house, Wanda would give Cosmo permission to have a relationship with Mama Cosma again if he wishes too, since I could see him miss her a bit, though I’m not sure Cosmo would take the risk. If he does, it would be with hard boundaries like Mama Cosma being forbidden from having any interaction with Wanda and Peri, never meeting at the Fairywinkle-Cosma house and if Mama Cosma makes a single comment about Wanda or Peri she’s out the door.

So yeah a complicated toxic relationship that would end with no contact but might open up at some point. Maybe. Probably not for a few millennia at least.

And if I need to say a word about Jorgen since he and Cosmo are cousins, I don’t see them discovering their ancestry as changing anything about their dynamic. Jorgen is still Cosmo’s boss and acts like it, same with Wanda. The fact those two often get in trouble for their kids’ wishes along with Cosmo being Cosmo doesn’t help in Jorgen keeping it solely professional between them.

As for Peri, while Jorgen does seem to have a bit of a soft spot for him (Peri flinching every single time Dev yells at him shows he’s a bit of a coward yet he shields his parents against Jorgen in “Lost in Fairy World” + Jorgen calling him “Peri-weri”), I could see it as having more to do with Peri being the youngest fairy rather than a family connection. Tbh in general I see Peri as being babied by most people who knew him as a kid, to his dismay (this is also my explanation as to why he changed his name, he wants people to stop immediately identify him as the last baby born).

Also I can’t speak about the Tooth Fairy because I barely remember anything about her personality in the og show and New Wish doesn’t exactly put her in the best light, so I’m going to say she’s like Jorgen on that front, not seeing the Fairywinkle-Cosma as family members and being nicer to Peri (her offering him a job) because she knew him as a baby.

The Fairywinkles:

For Blonda, I see her and Wanda as still having a tense relationship but they can handle being in the same room and do small talk. I also like to think that they’re jealous of each other, with Wanda feeling insecure when seeing her sister’s success while Blonda is envious of her twin’s simpler life (“simpler” as in “doesn’t have to deal with crazy fans and constant pressure to stay relevant”). So yeah they don’t exactly get along great but they can handle family reunions. Also if they talk things out there could be potential for a reconciliation.

As for how she feels about Wanda’s family, I could see Blonda be neutral towards Cosmo. She doesn’t mind interacting with him and might even find him funny, but she’s not too close to him either and doesn’t understand what Wanda sees in him.

In return, Cosmo’s chill with her. She doesn’t openly insult him so he takes it as her being nice and friendly with him (yeah when every single fairy you meet either mocks you or is terrified of you, the bar gets very low). That being said he’d probably feel uncomfortable whenever she insults Wanda and as a result doesn’t make any attempt to interact with her outside of family reunions. He also lets Wanda call the shots on whether or not they should interact with Blonda, understanding it’s complicated between the two and not wanting to pressure Wanda into a relationship she might not want.

For Peri, I could see Blonda babysit him a few times when he was a toddler if only because he was a celebrity back then and she could get some clout out of it. Although if you take the idea of her being envious of Wanda’s simpler life, I could also see Blonda babysit her nephew even after he stopped being popular because she enjoyed feeling like a regular fairy from time to time.

(the way I see it Poof was popular because his birth gave fairies hope that the baby ban was going to be lifted; but when it became clear the Fairy Council had no desire to change their rules, the hype died down and even turned into resentment towards the Fairywinkle-Cosma trio, one of the reasons why Cosmo and Wanda “moved out” of Fairy World once Peri was an adult)

As for how Peri feels about her, I could see him enjoy hanging out with her as a kid and especially as a teen (not sure how to explain it but Blonda strikes me as someone who could get along well with kids, like she’s the cool aunt who also spoils you rotten). But also Blonda doesn’t really have much of a filter when it comes to insulting Wanda so as he grows up and hears more and more of her comments, Peri would get defensive of his mom and spend less time with his aunt.

Tbh he likely already defended his mom as a kid but back then Blonda would just deflect in a “I’m just joking” kind of way and move on to something else, with Peri being too young to know how to properly react. But as a teen, he better understands that he can just leave the room and talk to her less.

And between him not wanting to see her much and Wanda having a bad relationship with her, the last time Blonda saw her nephew before a potential meeting during New Wish would be back when he was like 16-17 (so a good 5-6 years).

Finally for Big Daddy, we see in the og show that Wanda has a good relationship with him for the most part and often writes him letters (he even knew about Timmy). That being said she’s also intimidated by him and is afraid to stand up to him, causing her to lie about Timmy’s personality and hide her marriage.

So my idea for him is pretty similar to Cosmo and his brother. Wanda has a relationship with her father but she’s the one visiting him, mainly because he lives a dangerous life and she doesn’t want to put her family at risk. Also Big Daddy doesn’t like Cosmo so there’s no point in him visiting the guy, and since Cosmo’s terrified of his FIL he’d be more than happy to keep it that way. Maybe sometimes for a family dinner Cosmo’s invited, which is also when he’d interact with Blonda, but Big Daddy would mostly ignore him in those instances.

For Peri tho, since Big Daddy seems like a family man I could definitely see him want to have a relationship with his grandson, and after a while protesting Wanda eventually caves in (since again she struggles with saying no to him). She tries to still keep Peri away for his safety, like not having him every time she visits or keeping the visits short, but yeah Big Daddy would know his grandson and be attached to him.

Once he’s an adult Peri would definitely keep contact with his grandpa, especially since at that point he’d have the maturity to understand the risk (basically staying in contact with Big Daddy would be an informed decision and his own choice).

Now onto me ranting.

The Roo-seum is a 16 sim project that's consumed me for the last couple of days (in a good way), this explores most of Roo's lifespan (not implying he's dead LMAO), from the age of 9 years old, up to now, 28 years old, talking about what he went through for each year (for the most part anyways), of course, I didn't start at 1 or 2 years old, mainly because, way back when I made all of these Roo's (roughly back in July '23, this is not an idea that suddenly sparked, I only acted on it because I have a way to show off each age that isn't a Picrew lmao... I can't draw well so I just used TS4), I made them in Picrew, which... at the time couldn't find a Picrew with kids/babies so the youngest I went was around 9 years old, and just built up from there.

Roo is my persona gone OC, around 5 or 6 years ago, I put on this persona of "Roo", which started as "The Unfortunate Roo" and Roo's (or Mine, since this was technically a Persona, doubling as an OC) design was COMPLETELY different back then, He wasn't a he, the design was a sucubus I think, I don't really recall and I really couldn't care for it, it's embarrassing 💀 I don't remember how he came to fruition, but I remember finding this one picrew that I LOVED, and I used that picrew to create ~Roo~, his initial design was akin to the 22-23 year old Roo, there's a lot about his design that I could talk about but will avoid doing so, but just know that his Sims design isn't super on the dot to what his actual design is supposed to look like.

So... what's Piametia?? Why did you come up with that?? How did you come up with that?? To be honest, I never actually came up with a name up until yesterday when writing the note for 10-12 year old Roo, I don't really remember what sparked me to come up with a condition that "has the Patient suffer a sudden loss or gain in pigmentation and melanin in the eyes and hair," I guess 17 year old me thought it was cool, and it is! It opened up a new story for him, where I couldn't provide story (for someone without Piametia), like how being affected by Piametia caused him to go from extremely accepting of himself, to getting bullied into "normalizing himself," While he achieved this, it was really in vain, because he was still bullied for his condition, but as he grew older, out of his teen years and into adulthood, it bothered him less and less, because, well, shit like that doesn't fucking matter, sure it still bothered him, sure it still traumatized him to some degree, but it's just what some stupid kids say, it doesn't determine what his worth is, and he understands that, so after recovering from almost ending his life, he realized that something had to change, he couldn't live in this wallowing ball of agony because some kids determined "hey! That kid is different! They're no longer as cool as we are! Get him!!"

I should also mention that he didn't develop Piametia til he was around 9 years old, which is exactly what the condition does, it's genetic (although it never occurred in Reese or Virginia, the only reasonable conclusion was that it skipped a generation) and it's drilled into the person's DNA and only takes effect before puberty (in the average kid). So Roo was considered a part of the other kids' little cliques and stuff, but only until his hair and eyes changed color.

I kind of hyped this up to be something extravagant and maybe it is, idk, I don't have the eyes of the audience, I'm just a guy who made this and I have a rather critical view of my work sometimes, I try not to, but force of habit lmao. I really liked making this because Roo is an OC who has grown with me, mainly because he's both a persona of me while also being an OC, so where I change and grow, he often reflects that change and growth, in his own ways of course, I often wish he was real, but he's not and that's the harsh reality. Also gonna clarify that his life does NOT completely reflect mine, I'm only 18, he's ten years older then me lmao, where he was 8 I was 10 years to be conceived- Roo is still his own character, he's had his own relationships, all of which have went poorly (reflecting my own), and even had his own stalker (which escalated)- But parts of his life like when he became extremely homophobic of himself and who he truly was is not reflective of myself, I never had that stage in life (whether you did or not however is not a bad thing unless your actually just homophobic, then gtfo like?? 😭).

I went on a rant there, and I probably could've kept going, but figured I should stop at some point lol, but I hope you guys like this, I sure LOVED making this and I love doing Roo related things and posts. Some random Classification AU things because I am mentally unwell. (personal Classification AU with Cg/Neutral/Little and pack/family dynamics. Completely, SFW don't make it weird.)

I believe the system would be TERRIBLE just like the actual foster system and CPS. Like you're telling me an adults with the mentality of children won't be abused just as much as actual kids? Laughable

fake ids are BOOMING market. Don't want to be seen as a leader at work just because of your Classification? FAKE Neutral ID. Want to be able to do anything on your own just bc your a little doesn't mean you're helpless? FAKE NEUTRAL ID

on that note, there is definitely an imbalance in society. Some people ARE permaregressors, but many littles only have to drop once a week on average, and socially, they're all treated like children. Some caregivers are more strict and some are more soft, but they're treated one in the same

sub-classification testing!!! Are you a Papa CG? A Mama? A big brother/sister? Doesn't matter your gender a guy can be a Mommy and a woman could be a Dada, it's more the role you offer in the family unit. Along with that- Baby (0-2) Toddler (3-5) Kid (6-12) and Teen (13-18) regressors, and each person has thier own age range but most fall within these categories?? Big Brother teen/kid regressors! Baby regressors that only have to drop about a day a week, Perma-teen regressors!!!

Like 60% of society is Neutral. An even 20/20 Cg/Regressor.

(I borrowed instincts and scent from all the Hybrid AUs, but I like how they fit.) Caregiver instincts when they hear crying! They need to protect the kid! Regressors instincts flaring up when someone is yelling/causing a scene, having to resist the urge to run away and hide because they are pretending to be Neutral. A little finds that one friend, in particular, always smells like safety. It turns out they're actually a cg also hiding their classification. Family units!! Littles that climb into thier cgs beds bc it smells like safety. Cgs that press kisses to thier littles heads, catching that soft baby smell, or just the scent of thier kid.

Caregiver Jason Todd who tells everyone he's a Neutral because he doesn't feel worthy of taking care of anyone (this one is @tiniradio's fault /aff) ^ he channels all his Caregiver instincts into crime alley itself, making it actually one of the best places to be even with the crime. Littles and kids are protected and shielded, any kids or littles doing crime to survive are offered safe housing away from the system. If you hurt littles/kids you deal with Red Hood and nobody wants that.

Caregiver Shiro struggling not to smother the rest of the team, struggling to not baby them and fuss over them. Allura letting him fuss over her mice so that he has an outlet for his instincts.

Simulteniously Pidge never actually geting tested and suddenly dropping one day after a mission, terrified and confused because his whole family is neutrals?

My Hero universe not letting littles be heros, and Aizawa refusing to tell anyone about his regressor students, but telling them his home is always open if they need a caregiver.
