honestly my current wish right now is to be able to downgrade from my current phone to like six different separate pieces of hardware that have their own specific goals but that take fifty times more space. Spotify is cool and whatever but what if i just used a fucking mp3 reader. What if i just carried a 3ds and psp with me so i can play actual non rigged non pay to win gacha games and also just used my psp to read ao3 fics offline cause that’s objectively funnier than on my phone or on a kindle. Phone cameras are convenient but actually i really want to carry my shitty Polaroid to take blurry and off colored photos on film that’s chemically way more expensive than something like an instax and has to be shielded from the light in a really annoying way. oh and an actual camera for filming shit. like an actual one. if europe actually still manufactured or imported convenient and non dumbed down flip phones id get one of those but unfortunately i guess not cause of course muh smartphones muh muh if you don’t have one of those pieces of addictive garbage you might as well not exist at all nowadays. so uh i guess i’ll just get a secondhand hmd phone cause fuck me if i have to pay as much for this thing anymore.

Okay ngl I resonate with Sun's new voicelines I feel like he'd be such an excellent person to bitch with. Just talk absolute smack about the terrible people you deal with on a day to day basis, do the thing where your customer service facade drops as soon as they turn their back and just call em an asshole. Sharing that "are they serious rn" look. Ribbing each other and bantering back and forth reading each other for filth. I think he'd have snappy and funny as hell comebacks. I think he'd love making whomever he's working with just break down in giggles over his deadpan delivery and sarcastic theatrics, especially if it interferes with their work and makes them stop what they're doing completely to double over with laughter. Those are his proudest moments. Just a right clown that stops you from being as productive as management wants but it's only a little irritating because he's funny as hell and the place you work at sucks.

I was talking to a friend about how good of a father is batman and he argued that if he really was one he would have his family in therapy. Have you read anything like this in any of the issues? All can think of the top my head is that one Young justice episode.

this is in my opinion, but Batman is a nebulously alright father. Bruce both loves and will intentionally hurt his kids if it’s for the greater good and to protect them. He is a comic book character. To make interesting plots you need to have constant drama, wether it be familial or related to the current comic arc, and for that drama to never fully be quelled so you can recycle the same issues over and over. Comic writers benefit from shitty family dynamics and it wouldn’t be profitable if they had an ok family dynamic that was healthy.

With that out of the way, Bruce doesn’t go to therapy. If he does go his therapist would definitely be Harley Quinn. Publicly he might go to a therapist for his Bruce Wayne persona but would flawlessly portray a playboy bachelor and not address any real issues he has to his therapist. I haven’t seen a comic where he either goes to therapy or gains anything from it. I know in the Caped Crusader tv show Bruce goes to Harley and completely avoids feeding her any true problems about himself and walls himself off completely. This is before he has any robins if I can recall.

Ace's death is a tragedy because it was both preventable and inevitable

After like a thousand episodes of an impossible goal of rescuing Ace and losing thousands of lives in the process, at the last moment everything goes to shit because if ONLY he had just ran with his family. If only he had just swallowed his feelings and got the hell out of there to live another day

But like

Of COURSE Ace would never run from a fight, something shown time and time again. Of course he would defend Whitebeard, the only Father figure in his life to tell him "You deserve to be here" and showed again and again he loved Ace no matter what. Of course Ace would put his love and pride all out for somebody he loves, its simply who he is

And of course if Luffy, the crying baby brother who told him he needed him around was going to die in just seconds Ace would give up everything for him. His own pride got him in this despairing situation, and he took the consequences by saving his brother for another day because that's what big brothers do

What Akainu did was basically playing Ace's worst weakness, a weakness that came from a government that normalizes hunting and killing kids for just existing with things they can't control. And the fact that Akainu wanted Ace and Luffy dead not because of any of the crimes they did as pirates, but because their Fathers were technical criminals is what honestly makes this more of a gut punch of cruelty

Luffy and Sabo better get the chance to punch avenge their brother eventually
