MC telling the warlords they need to see a therapist. ESPECIALLY NOBUNAGA!
How would they react to that 🤔
OMG HI
XD yes they definitely do need therapy qwq
Telling the warlords they NEED to see a therapist
Their first question to this statement would be, "what the hell is a therapist?"
After you explain what a therapist is and that you've already booked a lesson for them meaning they HAVE to go there (because they cannot say no to you). Weapons are not allowed during the session.
• Oda Forces
→ Nobunaga Oda
• oh? Interesting.
• the therapist and he will have an interesting talk to say the least.
• obviously he isn't really going to answer any of the therapist's questions. Well not a straight answer anyways
• will scowl every time the therapist manages to figure him out
• in the end he doesn't open up to the therapist and instead challenges them to a battle of Go.
→ Hideyoshi Toyotomi
• ends up helping the therapist
• that's it
• he listens to the therapist's problems and tries to help him the best he can
• somewhere during the session he will confess his undying loyalty to Nobunaga
• Therapist tries to tell him to value himself more
• the therapist almost gets punched
• how did things go there? I think you can figure it out
→ Mitsuhide Akechi
• another one who doesn't open up to the therapist
• they both actually have a.....competition? They both counter attack each other by asking questions
• this goes on for a WHILE a long long while
• of course Mitsuhide won. But he tells the therapist he enjoyed the session
• no he's not coming back again. The therapist got way too close to figuring him out.
→ Masamune Date
• ends up crying and confessing anything mid way through the session
• idk why. I see him as someone who would do that
• anyways he will also boast about his cooking, Shogetsu and MC
• will invite the therapist over to lunch
→ Ieyasu Tokugawa
• doesn't want to go.
• what do you mean he's going to help me with my past traumas? I don't want to go
• he's like a cat when you try to take them to the vet
• very grumpy and salty throughout the session. Would not give a straight answer to any of the questions
• would leave midway through the session
→ Mitsunari Ishida
• sunshine. Angel. Not even 5 minutes into the session and the therapist knows what his problem is
• he will try his best to help out this angel
→ Keiji Maeda
• no.
• refuses to go.
• doesn't want to risk getting caught. He will dissappear once again just to leave the session
→ Ranmaru Mori
• also ends up crying and confessing
• this is the only one so far with whom the session has gone smoothly
• Uesugi Takeda Forces
→ Kenshin Uesugi
• he was already upset because his weapon got confiscated.
• points a knife at the therapist when he touches a particularly delicate subject
• where did the knife come from? No idea.
• someone needs to stay in the room (MC) to calm him down
• will need many more therapy lessons but the therapist has refused to attend any more sessions with him
→ Shingen Takeda
• flirts with the Therapist
• either charms the therapist or gets kicked out
• even the therapist tells him to lower it down in the sugar intake
→ Yoshimoto Imagawa
• therapist tries his best to keep up with Yoshimoto
• but over time he gets lost
• he will also probably get kicked out
→ Kanetsugu Naoe
• another one who has a hidden knife
• actually talks pretty formally with the therapist
• the therapist already kind of shaken up by the incident with kenshin approaches the subject pretty cautiously
• surprisingly enough Kanetsugu cooperates
• success!
→ Yukimura Sanada
• does he need therapy? I personally think he doesn't
• maybe he does but not as much as the others
→ Sasuke Sarutobi
• I don't think he needs therapy
• he does but not many sessions
• very cooperative
• sits through the Sessions with others to calm them down in case they decide to attack the poor fellow doctor
• Lone Forces
→ Kicho
• doesn't want to go
• he was already traumatized enough. Why must he approach the subject again
• will be cooperative as in will not point any hidden weapons at the therapist
→ Motonari Mouri
• he just dissapears
• you won't see him at the sessions at all
→ Kennyo
• reluctantly agrees
• reluctantly cooperates
• would go in meditative state sometimes just to avoid some questions
Thankyou for reading!
I tried to add them all in this one! But some of them are a little shorter than the others as I have no idea what they might do qwq

Regine George x Reader
Word Count: 1.1k
Trigger Warning: insecurity
Request:
Valentine's / Follower Celebration Request; Regina George w/ quote 51 and piece of chocolate 5. Or: “In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find someone who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you.” w/ arguing
Valentine's / Follower Celebration Requests are closed.
"So, what happened?" Cady asked as she passed (Y/n) the glass of water from her counter. What is usually the time that Cady takes to tutor (Y/n) has turned into a therapy session since (Y/n) and Regina are arguing. This was a very rare occasion as they typically settled things in private but Regina brought Karen and Gretchen into it, so (Y/n) has come to Cady. Hence why there was a math book and homework, that was twenty-five percent finished, scattered on the table.
(Y/n) accepted the water gratefully, sighing as she wiped the tears streaming down her cheeks. "I told her I felt uncomfortable with her relationship with Shane Omen. I never said they couldn't be friends. I wouldn't ever tell anyone who to be friends with or they couldn't be friends with. However, she does that for me all the time. That's why I felt like I had the right to at least let her know that the way she was still friends with her ex-boyfriend, the boy she cheated on Aaron with, makes me uncomfortable. Maybe I'm just insecure, but them having a relationship worries me." (Y/n) explained, hoping she didn't sound bitter.
There was a hum that escaped Cady as she listened, nodding carefully. (Y/n) She could see that she was thinking, which made her dread that maybe she had no one on her side. "I understand your worries. I wouldn't feel comfortable either. I think it's actually very healthy to establish boundaries. I also don't think it's fair that Regina has made you unfriend people and then get mad when you express your discomfort with her and Shane." Cady sat beside her, putting a comforting hand on her arm. (Y/n) felt validated by Cady's words, happy to finally have someone who sees the disagreement from her point of view.
"I feel like it wouldn't matter if she didn't cheat on someone else with him. I don't care that she's friends with Aaron or her other exes. It's just Shane." (Y/n) told Cady, leaning back in her seat. She felt a bit embarrassed by how insecure she was, but she knew Cady wasn't judging her. "I just sometimes don't even feel good enough for Regina. Then, I find out she's hanging out with Shane Omen. What am I supposed to think? I know it's bad for me. I'm supposed to trust her. I do trust her. I'm just being insecure. I just really love her."
Cady rubbed her back softly. She understood what (Y/n) was saying. Oftentimes, she felt insecure around the girls herself. But, she knew it was a different level since she was in an actual relationship with Regina. "In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find someone who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you. I honestly feel like that is the love that you and Regina have. Maybe, you two just need to sit down, and maybe you can try to be vulnerable with her like you were with me." She offered softly.
She was right, too. (Y/n) and Regina did share a love that would overcome this. (Y/n) did love Regina despite all of her moods. She loved her in the morning when her hair was messy, she loved her in the afternoon when she was at lunch looking her most confident. "You're right," (Y/n) said softly, looking at her homework. "But first, I really do need help with my homework." They shared a small fit of laughter before Cady helped her finish her work.
After tutoring, she headed to Regina, wondering what she was going to say. Admittedly, (Y/n) felt a bit nervous. She wasn't the best at confrontation. That's why she sat in her car for ten minutes. Eventually, she pried herself from the driver's seat and made her way to Regina's front door. Before (Y/n) could knock or ring the doorbell, Regina opened the door with flushed cheeks. She stared at (Y/n) for a moment before running a manicured hand through her blonde hair. "I saw you sitting in your car for a while." She confessed, looking away a bit.
There was a moment of silence between the two of them, but there was no tension. It was just a thick heaviness of nervousness in the air. "I'm sorry," the two of them said in sync before laughing softly, a bit of awkwardness lifting off their shoulders. It was nice to see their anger over their last argument has finally worn off. (Y/n) always hated when Regina was angry, and Regina always tried to make sure (Y/n) was never angry. They worked together like that, always trying to protect each other's feelings while communicating and telling the truth. Sometimes, it led to little arguments, but the Shane Omen one was one of their bigger blow-ups.
Regina led her into the house, all the way to her room. "I want you to know that I cut off Shane. I realized that you had every right to feel uncomfortable. I'm sorry for invalidating your feelings the way that I did. I hope that you'll be able to forgive me." Regina said with a soft smile. (Y/n) only saw that smile when Regina was feeling vulnerable with her. Unlike (Y/n), Regina wasn't someone who wore her heart on her sleeve. So, when she apologizes, it means she took a lot of time out of her day to consider the things that have happened.
(Y/n) sighed, noticing that Regina's hand was taken into hers still. She laced their fingers together as she got the words sorted in her mind. "I'm sorry, too. I realized that I was just jealous and insecure. I trust you, and I should've made that clear. Instead, I let my fear control me." She explained, feeling tears brim in her eyes as she began to feel embarrassed again. She grew even more embarrassed when the tears began to fall down her cheeks.
Regina wiped the tears away softly, kissing (Y/n) gently on the lips. "(Y/n), I love you. No matter what I love you. I love so much it's crazy. You were valid to feel everything that you felt. The truth is, I should've cut him off a long time ago. None of this was fair to you." She said carefully, pulling away, but letting her hands stay to rub away any stray tear that continued to cascade down her girlfriend's cheeks.
There was a soft smile that pulled at the corners of (Y/n)'s lips as she sniffed. "I love you, too, Regina. No matter what." She said softly, moving in to kiss Regina once more.

Do you have a link to the interview where Oliver said buck and Eddie were supposed to get together at the end of season 4? I thought he said something like they were going to explore buck’s sexuality then, but I don’t remember him saying that they were going to put buck and Eddie together
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi there anon!!!
It’s not explicitly said flat out said again that Buck and Eddie were suppose to be together in the interview, but context clues to what happened during that time and the entire set up for the end of season 4 that’s why the assumption is that was the plan to have them get together at that point. Oliver alluded to the fact that the storyline was brought to him years ago, it was ultimately shut down for whatever reason and until the had the show shift over to ABC is finally where Tim Minear came back as a writer and had then proposed this storyline for Buck for season 7.
With the Buddie part of it for season 4 again you have Buck going to therapy and getting comfortable with his own feelings and one quote that Buck says early on in season 4 that I found interesting while doing my rewatch prior to season 8 airing was when he said to his therapist is, “Hey Dr. Copeland. I’m going good. I’ve actually been — been thinking a lot about what you said in our last session and how I hide my true feelings from others. I’m starting to think you might be right.” Again at this point Buck was not romantically involved with a woman at this point until he had reconnected with Taylor later in the season and if the idea got proposed during this time who would they have Buck get together with other than his best friend and again when would Buck realize that he’s in love with Eddie the moment his best friend is shot and he doesn’t know what to do with himself like the set up was there for the reveal, just for whatever reason Fox decided against it and we have Buck get together with Taylor and Eddie is with Ana at this point until they break up in Season 5 along with Buck and Taylor breaking up
Throughout the show as well there’s always been the inclination that Buck has been a bisexual character and again as Oliver has said Buck’s bisexuality isn’t dependent on who is involved with at the time because at the end of the day bisexual means he is attracted to more than one gender regardless of who he has dated or is going to date. I just think the chemistry and history is there with Eddie many people including myself would love to see Buddie happen on our screens hopefully soon
I did find these quotes interesting from two interviews Oliver did that were released post episode 1 of s8
So sorry anon didn’t have a direct answer, but that’s the assumption that was drawn from that quote in the interview that Oliver did months ago hope that kinda explains it and makes some sense 😅

So I watched the first two episodes since they’re in English now. Live reaction:
LMK Season 5 spoilers under the cut:
Fun training session! Let’s go!
Tired MK is tired. Somebody get this boy the therapy he needs!
Wukong is trying to be responsible about the monkey form at least.
“I’m compartmentalizing!” XD me too MK, me too
MAC MAC MAC!!!! Also “Bud” not in a mocking way!!!!
“This mountain’s been by home just as long as yours” I’m screaming!!!
They’re working together! (Sorta)
Wukong confirming he didn’t know about MK!
Referencing Mac’s death and resurrection!
Ominous stone crack!!
Mei!! My girl!!!
THEY BUILT HIM A NEW HOUSE!!!!
Tang continuing the tradition of shirking the hard labor. Good to see he’s still himself.
THE PICTURES!!!
The origami!!
Even Mo gets a picture!!
HUG HUG HUG!!!
MK please chill, like even 2% calmer would be a major improvement. You need to rest and get therapy.
“Sleeping with the noodles”
Dadsy give him some comfort. Also send him to therapy. Or teach him cooking.
MK backstory! Noodles! Sleepy noodles!!!! That is so cute oh my god!!
MK is a heavy boi. Also sleepy.
“I love you, son” I am not emotionally prepared for the sheer amount of MK and Pigsy fluff in the last two minutes.
Mac sleeping with the little monkeys!!! At the tree!!!
Spooky goings on. References to Monkey King getting kidnapped to the underworld perhaps??
Stop blaming the monkeys for the things they’ve been trying to stop please. That’d be great. MK needs a nap. You could’ve waited for him to sleep.
Wukong throwing shade about the underworld situation. You tell ‘em!
Smug smile. Good monkey.
Mac canonically appears in the Monkey King Ace Attorney TV show? What?
Fillet?? Fillet??? Nezha?!? “Nezhie”?!??!?
Li Jing, hey, can’t say it’s a pleasure to meet you. Maybe take some parenting classes and then we’ll talk.
Mac trying to stop the fillet!!!
MK losing it a bit at that, love the concern for Wukong! They is a family!!!
Also Nezha trying to plea for them!
Underworld jail.
Grumpy Wukong and mopey Mac, I can just feel all the angst fics being written.
MK is trying so hard to free his mentor!
“It’s tense in here.” Gee I wonder why.
Secret plan with the fur? Secret plan with the fur? The nods?!
(I think I should interject here to point out, I rarely watch things without also doing something else to distract my hands, and yet my crochet has been forgotten because I’m having so many thoughts!)
Nezha providing exposition
Tang!Wukong, glasses is a must
Painted art style my beloved it’s good to see your return!
“My father is not the enemy” I mean he’s not exactly a pillar of goodness either my dude.
“I’m a clone”
Okay the running animation bit was actually pretty nice, love the movement. I like how they’re really trying to keep close to the original style of animation even though they’re working with a totally different tool set.
Mac, are you…are you Naruto running?
Wukong keeps doing the cutest smiles. I’m gonna have to go back through and grab some many screenshots.
Wukong and Mac just…knowing exactly how to fight together with no communication when they’re actually both on the same side.
Sandy got a new truck…
…And it’s gone, poor guy
MK worried that they’re just the harbingers of chaos when they have directly caused so few of the problems they’ve faced. Like, I get it, but maybe have some perspective. You know what would help with that? Therapy.
Just don’t explain anything. It’s fine. They’ll figure it out.
MK building powers!!
Fillet use!! Mac stepping in!! Mac sacrificing himself?!?!? Oh the angst fics will be legendary!!
“He always gets away, right?” Followed by sad face?!? OH THE ANGST FICS WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!
Monkey in pagoda. This feels familiar.
I’m sensing a later “boiling rock” style episode. Or else they all get trapped in there and have to bust out (Nezha helping them escape possibly?)
That was so good! I can’t wait for the actual proper release for better audio quality and more importantly MORE EPISODES!!

12/11/24
It's always a good start to the day when your morning alarm goes off for ~2 hours while you fade in and out of consciousness just enough to keep pressing snooze, finally waking up one minute before your first class starts. And by that I mean today did not get off to a good start--I suppose it's not off to a good end either, considering the fact I'm writing this at 5 am.
Today was the last day of classes, and I only had two, since I had already finished up French class. I had therapy after class, and it was really nice. I hadn't seen my therapist in maybe a month? It was actually a really productive session, though. After that, I interviewed a friend for my journalism project, came back home, made dinner (it took FOREVER!), and sat down to finish up some projects. As is usual now, I just couldn't get started on my work. I hate it! I ended up starting working around 10:40, and turned in a half-finished copy of the project before midnight. After several hours of procrastination I finished up the project and submitted the completed project as a new attempt.
I can't help but feel like a loser for struggling academically this semester, but my therapist says I should work on unlearning the power structures I grew up with. That means I can't look down on myself for academic floundering anymore. Oof, I'm so tired right now, I'll be lucky to get up at a decent time tomorrow. I might have to bribe myself with coffee or something, who knows.

Be More Ghost Chapter 5: The Squip Enters
Summary:
A Be More Chill AU where Danny gets a Super Quantum Intel Unit Processor (or Squip) to help him become cool and win over Valerie, but things don't really go as planned.
Masterpost | AO3 Link | Word Count: 1,386
Tumblr media
Please excuse some mild discomfort.
Sitting at a food court table at the mall, Danny looked down at the gray oblong pill he held in the palm of his hand while Tucker ate his fries.
“I hope it’s worth four hundred dollars.”
“Four hundred and one.” Tucker slid the bottle of Mountain Dew on the table closer to Danny. “Don’t forget the Mountain Dew.”
“Did you know ectoplasm tastes a bit like Mountain Dew?” Danny took the bottle and shook it a little.
“Dude, I don’t want to know why you know what ectoplasm tastes like.” Tucker looked disgusted as he put another fry in his mouth.
“It tastes kind of good actually.”
“Please stop.”
“Okay then. Here goes… everything.” Danny popped the pill in his mouth and gulped down the Mountain Dew.
“How does it taste?”
“Minty.” Which wasn’t the flavor he had been expecting from the pill. He assumed it would be metallic or something.
Tucker looked him in the eyes. “How do you feel?”
Danny waited for a second to check if he felt any different. He didn’t.
“I feel like…” He slumped in his seat. “A chump.”
“Nothing? At all?” Tucker thought for a second, adjusting his beret. “Maybe… Try to say something cool?”
“I think I blew all my bar mitzvah money on a breath mint.” Danny hung his head, defeated.
“Yeah, not cool.” Tucker scooted his chair closer to Danny and patted him on the back.
“Please leave me alone to mourn in my fries, forever.” Danny appreciated his friend’s support, but he didn’t want to be comforted right now.
“You get five minutes.” Tucker stood up and took a step away.
“Where are you going?”
“You know Spike works at Spencer’s Gifts right?”
“Yeah, he’s Jazz’s friend.” Danny remembered the goth dude who Jazz had tried giving therapy sessions to. He had been surprised when Spike had actually ended up becoming friends with his super preppy sister.
“He’s hooking me up with a case of Crystal Pepsi! It’s like regular Pepsi, only clear.”
“Wasn’t that discontinued in the 90s?” Danny couldn’t help but smile a bit at his friend’s enthusiasm. Only Tucker would get excited about old soft drinks like this.
“That’s what makes it awesome!” Tucker waved his hands in excitement and then started fast-walking to the Spencer’s.
Danny started eating his fries. They were already cold but he was too depressed to care.
“Shouldn’t we wait for the rest of the club?”
Danny perked up as the familiar voice entered the range of his enhanced hearing. At the other end of the food court, he saw Valerie walking next to Dash. What were they doing together? Danny got up and tossed his fries in the trash can on the way to where Valerie was standing.
“Oh, we’re not meeting the rest of the club here.” Dash actually looked sheepish for a second but then resumed his usual bravado. “I figured it was time that we reconnected. Alone. That’s why I’m taking you to one of my favorite spots in the universe. Sbarro-”
“Valerie!” Danny interrupted. He didn’t have a plan but he knew he had to do something. He couldn’t just let Dash hang out with Valerie alone!
“Danny, I didn’t see you there.” Valerie gave him a warm smile that felt like it melted his insides.
“Yeah, you’re kind of hard to notice.” Dash barely gave Danny a second glance before turning back to Valerie and putting a hand on her shoulder to lead her toward the pizza stall. “The best part, they let you pick whatever you want-”
“Wait!” Danny stepped directly in front of their path. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
“Now?” Dash looked at Danny like he was an annoying fly he couldn’t get rid of. Danny tried his best not to cower under the bully’s gaze.
“I… I…” Danny started. Then a sharp pain exploded in his brain. “OWWW!”
Target female inaccessible. A voice rang in his head, way too loud for comfort. Danny tried to cover his ears but it didn’t help. The voice was coming from inside his brain.
“Danny?” Valerie’s concern was muffled through whatever was attacking his senses.
“OW! What the hell?” Danny didn’t know what was happening. Was a ghost attacking him? Some new ghost hunter’s weapon? None of his parents’ or Vlad’s inventions had hurt this badly before. Well, excluding the ghost portal.
Calibration in process. Please excuse some mild discomfort. The voice was just as loud as before. Danny felt himself hyperventilating as the pain shot through his body. He was used to getting hits and even getting shocked sometimes in ghost fights, but this was so much worse.
“MILD???” Danny flailed, not completely in control of his limbs anymore. He felt himself hitting the ground, his body twitching in agony.
“Danny, what’s wrong?” Valerie leaned down over him but didn’t touch him.
“Dude, freaky Fenton’s freaking out!” Dash pointed at him as if it wasn’t obvious who he was talking about.
Calibration complete. Access procedure initiated. The voice was at a much more manageable volume this time. Danny could suddenly think clearly again.
“No, wait, I’m fine,” Danny rubbed his head. He started to lift himself up. “I just-”
Discomfort level may increase. The searing pain like lightning striking his brain resumed and he fell flat on the floor again.
“AHHHHH!” Danny screamed. Muscles still spasming, he somehow stood up and ran away from Valerie and Dash into a less crowded area of the mall.
Accessing: neural memory. Accessing: muscle memory. Access procedure: complete. Danny Fenton…
Danny gasped in shock as he saw who had materialized in front of him. How was that possible? But it was unmistakably him- snow-white hair, glowing green eyes, and all.
Welcome to your Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor… Your SQUIP.
“You look like… Phantom.” Why did this Squip thing look like his ghost form? Maybe it was set up to mirror yourself? Danny took a step closer and saw a few differences though. Instead of just a black-and-white hazmat, this Phantom was wearing a cool-looking white jacket with black and green accents. He was also wearing designer sunglasses which didn’t quite mask his glowing eyes.
This is my default mode. You can also set me for: George Clooney, Terminatra, or Hatsune Miku. The Squip morphed into different forms as it listed its options. He thought he recognized the last one from some video Tucker had shown him last week.
“Phantom is fine… weird but fine.” Looking at Phantom like this reminded him of when he had split himself with the Fenton Ghost Catcher. At least he felt like himself right now.
The Squip squinted at him. I can see by accessing your memories that somehow you ARE Phantom. I was not programmed for that scenario. The Squip seemed to stutter, like a glitch in a video game. It then settled and gave Danny a confident smirk. Rest assured, I will still be able to help you.
It was weird that this technology was pre-programmed to look like him but his life was so weird at this point he didn’t even question it.
“Can everyone see you?” Danny looked around. He was surprised no one had noticed “Phantom” appearing in the mall yet. Usually, people started cheering or running away when he showed up anywhere in his ghost form.
I exist only in your mind. All they see is you, having an animated conversation with yourself. “Phantom,” who Danny now noticed was weirdly a few inches taller than him, looked down at him disapprovingly. So don’t do that. Just think at me. Like you’re telepathic.
“Like in X-men?” Danny said out loud. A stranger nearby gave him a weird look.
I can see this is going to be difficult, the Squip crossed its arms, you want to be more chill.
“You mean cool?”
I do not. You see, human social activity is governed by rules and I have the processing capacity to understand those rules and pass them on to you.
Danny wasn’t sure if this Squip thing was going to work out, but staring at the cooler version of his ghost self, he was starting to become hopeful.

For anyone who doesn't know what Diabolik Lovers is. . . you don't want to know, and don't need to know. . .
But if you're curious, or had watched the series, keep reading
As the opening suggests, I've recently fallen down the "Diabolik Lovers" rabbit hole, very similar to "Madoka Magica" but not in a good way. . .
I'll probably be the first to say that Diabolik Lovers is the ultimate guilty pleasure anime; it's bad, but it's good at being bad, which I entirely blame on the fact that the show was made in 2013. . .
There was a lot of issues I had with the series, but the biggest caveat I had other than the thorny vampires, was the story. Cause other than the mom coming back to life and new vamps, it was ✨Boring✨
Especially the ending!
And because I disliked the story so much, I've made a whole mental reboot in my head. What do I mean by that? Basically taking the entire series in my head and giving it ✨A complete makeover✨
I'm talking redesigns of old characters, introducing new characters, worldbuilding, and an actual story! Which all of that, I could go on and on about, but given my very messy schedule and several other projects, I don't think I'll be able to
So for now, I'll talk about what I'm most proud of: The story
(Massive spoiler warning)
(Tw: Heavy topics will be discussed, stop reading if you're uncomfortable)
Alright, let's talk about. . .
✨Diabolik Lovers: The Glass Labyrinth✨
This takes place in the modern day, roughly 5 years after season 2; things still haven't changed, and Yui is still very much stuck with the vamps. Yui is, as expected, extremely depressed; not only is she trapped with bloodthirsty vampires who constantly torment and ab*se her, but she has no family nor friends to run to. All except for one little creature she acquainted with, a peculiar dove
Ever since she started reading on the balcony alone, the same dove would always fly over to where she sat and approached her, even letting her scratch its head. Yui was surprised at first, but having no one else to be around other than her ab*sers, she lets it go and the two become good friends
But it doesn't take long for simple head scratches to turn into full blown therapy sessions, as she begins lamenting all her feelings to the creature. Talking about how alone and trapped she feels, and wishing she were a dove so she can "fly away from this horrid life. . !" Of course, all the little guy could do was sit and listen, again this was a bird, not a miracle worker. . . This routine would go on for at least a few months till one day, when she's out on the balcony reading, waiting for her little bird friend, it arrives as normal, but Yui is quick to notice that something was off, it wore a strange device. Fortunately, she was able to get a better look once the creature landed, it was one of those capsules they used for messenger pigeons
Yui takes the capsule from its back and opens it, which the dove gladly allows. Revealing the letter inside, she finds out that the letter was from the dove's owner. They asked if she wanted to talk more in the letter, to which Yui, desperate for friends, immediately accepts the offer. Quickly, she flips the paper over and begins writing, asking general questions like who they were and where they'd come from; but before she could roll up the paper again something happens. The letters begin to shift into another sentence in different yet beautiful handwriting, reading:
"Who I am isn't important, but what is right now is getting you someone to talk to, you seem like you need it." Before disappearing from the page. Yui, although shocked, response back just as fast as before, asking how it knew that, it merely said it could tell from her rather shaky writing. It's quick to change the subject, asking general questions about her, to which Yui very much responds to them. Her and the talking paper begin having a conversation, still so curious about who was really behind it, but within minutes, their subject begins to change into something far more mysterious. Witches
Being the religious girl that she was, Yui knew quite a bit on witches, how the devil would leave his marks on unexpecting women, their familiars, the trials against them, a tiny bit of everything. When writing it all down, the paper disagrees with her, saying that witches are far more complex than she lets on. It goes on to compare witches to vampires, how, unlike them, a witch and her familiar are much harder to spot. They can be anywhere. . . When Yui was about to ask how it knew, she puts two and two together extremely fast. Just before she can ask any more questions, the paper burns into ashes, startling her, and the little dove? gone without a trace. She lets the realization sink in as she watches the ashes scatter in the wind. That dove, the dove that visited her constantly, the dove she's been venting to. . . was a witch's familiar
The next day, it was all she could think about. Did a witch really try to contact her? How did they know so much about her? Why her specifically? Questions that were, understandably, messing with her head for what felt like days, the only way for her to gain closure now is to do more research, a lot more research. And unfortunately, she knew exactly where to start. . . The vampire brothers
Fortunately, Yui's interaction with the dove and paper were left under their radar, but for everything else, they could tell something was up. Something was plaguing her mind, and they knew it. Despite some bewildering and bizarre guesses they were making to what it exactly was, Yui had to pick one of the brothers to ask for information; she knew that Subaru or Reiji would be too stubborn to give a full answer and god forbid if she asked someone like Laito, Kanato, or even Ayato. Making her safest option, the eldest brother, Shu. So later that night, sneaking past snoozing vampires, makes her way to Shu's room. But before she even knocked on his door, she knew that Shu wouldn't give away that information for free. . . yeah, we can all see where this is going. . .
For the sake of everyone's sanity, let's use our imaginations and picture Shu sticking a straw in Yui's shoulder or something-
Once inside Shu's room, their interaction goes to following:
Yui: Ok, kinda an off-topic question, but what do you know about witches?
*Shu stops drinking her blood*
Shu: Witches. . ? They're old hags who fly around on broomsticks and eat small children. . .
Yui: . . .That's what you think witches are. . ?
Shu: Well, aren't they? Why are you asking?
*Yui gets a little flustered but manages to keep calm*
Yui: Oh- n-no reason! I just thought that someone like you, a vampire, would believe that witches existed-
Shu: *Heh* Obviously not, witches don't exist, and if they did, they'd be a huge threat to us, us especially
Yui: Wait, why?
*Shu realizing his mistake*
Shu: uuuuhhhhhhhhhh-. . .
*Cut to Yui being kicked out of Shu's room*
Although it wasn't much, Shu had unintentionally given her just enough information to guide her on the right path of where she needed to go next. She sneaks back to her room, not before bumping into Laito. . . yeah, the guy wanted a midnight snack. . .
In the years she spent with the vampires, not only did she get a little braver, but a little smarter too. Using the vampires' dislike for loud noise to her advantage, she plants tape recorders of various loud and repeating noises and hid them in various hard-to-spot locations, that whenever they'd turn on, it causes the brothers to go mad trying to find the source of the sound, and for extra measures, she places one of Kanato's "wax figures" in her bed to give the fake illusion that she was sleeping. And with the brothers distracted and using a homemade rope, Yui is able to sneak off the balcony and leave the mansion, all the way to her local library
She estimated the time it would take for the vampires to find the device to be roughly an hour, so she makes every visit count. There, Yui was able to learn not just more on witches, but their relationship with vampires. She learns three major things:
Vampires and Witches had been coexisting alongside each other for years, but the most talked about and cataloged were the witches (The witch trials)
The relationship between the two beings is extremely shaky, one second they're completely peaceful, another they're at full on war with one and other. Through most of history, however, they had a business-relationship; a vampire could sense a witch from miles away and would often do tasks for a witch in exchange for their help and or guidance
(This is the most important one) A single witch or any magic user can take down an army's worth of vampires, within minutes. . .
A witch can fight a vampire. . . and win
Yui gets a habit of preforming this plan often, each word of the books enticing her more and more. She was thankful to have a working library card, but even if she did bring some of the books with her, it would immediately give away what she was doing to the brothers. Besides, Yui absolutely adored the new amounts of alone time she was getting. And, as a bonus, she gained more of a resistance to dirt and bugs, due to sneaking outside so much, and being completely willing to dodge the vampires by any means possible, even if it meant crawling through the mud and jumping into bushes. But of course, all good things must come to an end. . . And on one rainy night, when in her normal study nook, she gets confronted by Reiji, who had followed her all the way to the library
The interaction goes as the following:
*Reiji places a hand on Yui from behind, startling her*
Reiji: I should've known something was off. . .
Yui: Reiji-san! I-
Reiji: Now, explain to me, why exactly have you been leaving the manor?
Yui: H-how did you?!-
Reiji: Let's just say it was a hunch, and. . .
*Reiji trails off and pulls out one of the tape recorders from his jacket*
Reiji: Judging by how many of these you've been leaving around, it was likely you've been doing this often. . . Now, if you could be so kind as to give me an answer. . .
*Reiji starts to get more irritated*
*Yui, although scared, tries to stay calm and makes up an excuse*
Yui: Well Reiji-san, you see-
*Reiji cuts her off, noticing the several open books she left carelessly*
Reiji: What exactly have you been studying here anyway?
*He instead focuses on the area surrounding them, picking up one of the books*
*Yui tries to stop him, but fails*
Yui: Uh!- Reiji-san! You don't have to do that!! Please give it back!
*After reading a few sentences, he fixes his glasses and sighs, assumingly unimpressed*
Reiji: Witches. . ? Do you really believe in such fairytales. . ?
*He looks down at a now scared Yui*
Reiji: Stories of women possessing magical powers aided by the devil, and using said powers for either malicious purposes or to help others in need. . . Just more folklore and nonsense created by mortals. . .
*Reiji shuts the book with one hand*
Normally, this would be chalked up to his constant need to judge and him wanting to play the role as the "smart one," but there was something about his body language that didn't match his tone nor what he was saying. Yui managed to notice small things, like how his eyes widened before he fixed his glasses, or how he pushed the book closer to his face, as if wanting a better look, it was almost like he was surprised she was reading about this stuff. . . And when she attempted to confront him on it, he quickly got defensive, even going as far as to grab her hand, scolding her to never question his authority, but decides he wasn't going to hurt her, saying that he didn't feel like punishing her. So, with that, the two leave, Reiji pulling Yui by the hand, all the way back to the mansion, to which a bunch of "happy vampires" were waiting for her
Despite their negative and overall cruel comments, once Yui went back to her room, she couldn't fall asleep, especially with all the information she'd gathered. She formed somewhat of a theory board in her head, taking what she knew and trying to figure out what it all meant. The books, Shu's comment, Reiji's body language, everything was or could be important. Yet out of all that was being sorted in her mind, what she found most jarring was the fact a witch was the only being strong enough to take down a vampire. She laid in bed, eyes open and unmoving for hours, till finally the morning light sent her back into reality. Once she got up, she was, as expected, very tired, clearly noticeable by her dreary eyes and messy hair, and when she made her way to the dining room, Laito humorously remarked how she "looked like she just rolled out of bed"
At the dining room table, Ayato and Subaru were talking about a popular theme park that's near their area, but all eyes are shifted to Yui once she sat down. Laito's perverted comments of how he much preferred her half-asleep state as he played with her hair without consent; Kanto's attempts of gaslighting her, saying she wouldn't be so tired if she'd just stayed put like she was supposed to; even Reiji telling them to stop; it was all routine to her at that point. After he scolds two of the brothers, he's quick to scold Yui next, telling her to fix her behavior because they had a big day planned. What was their plan? Well, the Mukami brothers had gotten tickets to the theme park Ayato and Subaru were just talking about and invited them all to go with. Of course, this got the respected amounts of excited and nonchalant reactions, but not everyone was too happy. . .
Subaru, although excited for the trip, was extremely hesitant to bring Yui along with them, given her sneaking out so much, questioning the others if she really deserved to go. And taking the opportunity for more alone time and possibly the chance to go back to the library, she accepted her punishment, telling the brothers that she deserves it. To which Reiji is quick to stop her, asking what kind of fools she mistaken them for. It was obvious that if they left, Yui would just try that little stunt again. She was going, whether she wanted to or not. . .
Fast forward to when they actually got to the theme park. The gang meets up with the Mukami brothers, who were more than happy to see Yui again. . .
*Kou yells out to the group*
Kou: There you are!
*They all turn around, seeing the Mukami brothers walking towards them*
*Azusa runs ahead, like an over excited puppy*
Azusa: Eve!
*He proceeds to run up and hug Yui, making the other vamps a bit defensive, but that drops once the other three show up*
*Laito giggles a bit*
Laito: Well Little B*tch, looks like someone's happy to see you!~
Ruki: Nice seeing you all again! Glad you've made it
Subaru: *Uh* *Duh!* This is the most popular theme park in town right now! Why wouldn't we show up?!
*Reiji fixes his glasses, unfazed*
Reiji: It'd be rude to turn down an invitation. . . And if I may ask, why did you want to meet us here in the first place?
*Reiji takes the matter way more seriously than it had to be*
*Ruki laughs a bit*
Ruki: This is merely just for some rest and relaxation is all! We hardly spend any time together and we thought this would be the best way to do so. . . And besides. . .
*Ruki trails off, looking over to Azusa, still very much latched onto Yui*
Ruki: It's nice to see Azusa so happy. . .
Reiji: . . .Is that so?
*Yuma chimes in*
Yuma: Yeah, on the ride here, all he could talk about was that little piggy. I don't think I'd ever seen him run that fast. . .
*Meanwhile, Azusa was still very much hugging Yui, the triplets watching in slight amusement*
*Yui was too tired to attempt to pull him off herself*
Azusa: I missed you. . . so much Eve. . .
*He hugs her a bit tighter*
Azusa: Did you. . . miss me too. . ?
*Yui tries to choke out a response, despite having the air squeezed out of her*
Yui: I-I missed you too- Azusa-kun. . .
Kou: Alright Azusa, let her go or she'll pop!
*Kou pulls Azusa off her, Yui immediately taking a breath after*
Kou: I'm sure she's happy to see all of us! Aren't you little Maso-kitty?~
Yui: Oh! *Um-* yes, of course. . .
From early on in their interaction, it's safe to say that Reiji was still a bit iffy about the Mukami brothers, even if they formed their little alliance almost years ago; and the fact that Ruki paid for everything. Aside from that, the Mukami brothers planned the trip cause they were generally interested in the main vamps and wanted to get to know them more. It seemed like everyone was excited for this trip. . . well, "almost" everyone. . .
As part of her punishment, Yui would be paired with the triplets, as well as Kou and Azusa, entirely going on the rides and attractions that they wanted to go on; which were all, unironically, mostly horror based. And sure, there were some rides and sites she enjoyed, but that didn't distract from the fact that the whole time, the vampires were watching her like hawks, further reminding her how trapped she was. Want to know what was so interesting? This behavior doesn't go unnoticed! Whilst Azusa was holding Yui's hand, guiding the group to the ride he wanted to go on next, she thought she heard whispers. . . Whispers from girls amongst the crowd! At first, she tried to ignore them, thinking they were merely voices in her head as a result of not sleeping. But as they continued, the more apparent they got. . .
"Is that who I think it is?!-"
"No way, it's her. . !"
"Look at the guys she's with. . ."
"They look scary. . ! Like serial killers. . ."
"Could you imagine what she has to go through. . ? Poor girl. . . "
"Honestly, if I were her, I'd probably drive my car over a cliff, it'd be better than what she probably has to go through. . ."
"Don't say that! She's been with them for years, who knows how bad her situation is. . !"
Left and right, the whispers didn't seem to stop. Although it being very obvious just who they were talking about, Yui didn't seem to believe it, and heck, a part of her didn't want to. . . She'd lived with the vampires for so long, and for just as long, people just didn't seem to care. . . Not enough to get her out of that situation nor enough to help her. And by that point, she'd already seemed to accept that. . . in till she got a look at the crowd herself, finally seeing the tens of hundreds of eyes on her. These girls were talking about her and her alone! And honestly, why wouldn't they?!
Through their eyes, Yui was basically being dragged to these different locations, with her head down and a visibly sad look on her face, her dreary eyes only doubling it; she looked, acted, and was miserable. Back to Yui, to say she was surprised would've been an understatement, but not before long, Kanto gets in front of her, blocking her view of the crowd and demanding attention. This would continue throughout their visit, Yui would hear whispering and once she'd turn her head, one of the vampires would be in front of her. And as this pattern continued, it became very obvious to her of what they were doing. . . They were clearly trying to distract her, block her from the truth in some way. By all means, she could've confronted them, but by that point it was already too late. . . She was much too tired to fight back, and even if she did, she'd doubt that her attempts at rebelling wouldn't last long. . . After all, she was only human. . .
Continuing on their trip, just when the sun was starting to set, the vampires decided that it was probably time to meet back up with the others, but not before making a quick pit-stop at the nearest restrooms. As the guys took their time doing their business, Yui, waiting outside, catches something moving in the corner of her eye. . . a small, white, flying something, if you will. . .
Just flying above her, was that familiar dove. . ! She couldn't believe it. . ! Ever since her hyper fixation on witches, she'd never had time to be around the little creature, she even doubted if it would even come back anymore after she learned the truth; but there it was, flying circles above her! It whistled and cooed, as if to tell her something, before darting off in another direction, like it wanted for her to follow. Suddenly all the energy she lost a day before, came flooding back into her body, and with little time she had to think, she sprinted in that same direction, not looking back, and chasing the dove. Now, for as ridiculous as this sounds, it was actually due to a much bigger flaw in the boys' plan. Originally, they were going to work in shifts, one person was going to watch Yui whilst everyone else did their business, and the one thing they never thermally talked about was who was gonna watch her first, nor did they estimate just how long they would each take, so they were all treated to the pleasant surprise of seeing each other in the restroom, with none of them watching Yui
*Azusa and Kou leave their restroom stalls at the same time*
*Kou sighs*
Kou: *Sigh* What a great day! Think it's time we head back now, don't wanna keep our little Maso-kitty waiting!
*Azusa nods his head*
Azusa: Agreed. . .
*Just when they were about to leave, they see Kanto washing his hands at one of the sinks, shocking Kou*
Kou: What the- Kanto?!
*He doesn't notice them at first, already looking down at the sink, but once he hears his name, he peers at the restroom mirror, seeing the two there and turning around, just as surprised as they were*
*Kou gets angry at Kanto because he, to him, was supposed to be watching Yui*
Kou: What the hell man?! I thought you were watching Yui!!
*Kanto, having no idea what he was talking about, gets irritated as a response*
Kanto: What-? No! I never said that!!
Kou: Dude didn't you listen?!, we all talked and agreed you would do it first!!
Kanto: Oh please, we'd never agreed to that!! And besides. . .
*Kanto turned to, and staired death-daggers at Azusa, who was still very much confused*
Kanto: Last time I checked. . . We'd agreed to let Azusa be the first to watch her. . .
*Kou is quick to defend him, blocking the two from each other*
Kou: Hey man! leave him alone!! He has nothing to do with this!
Azusa: I. . . was supposed to be watching Eve. . ?
*He tilts his head*
Azusa: But. . . I thought. . . Ayato was doing that. . .
*Just then, Laito and Ayato walk out from the nearby urinals to meet up with the rest of the group*
Laito: Well gentlemen, shall we goin-?
*Seeing Kou there, the two are shocked, since they believed that Kou would be the first to watch Yui*
Laito: Kou? What on earth are you doing here?!
Ayato: Yeah man, what the hell?! You're supposed to be watching Yui!!
Kou: Dude no!! That's not what we talked about!!
*Azusa puts two and two together, quicker than everyone else*
Azusa: So. . . if we're all here. . . then who's watching Eve. . ?
*That realization hits the rest of the group like a truck*
Ayato: Oh sh*t! PANCAKE!!
But just when they sprinted out of those restrooms, Yui was nowhere to be seen. . . Oh crap. . .
"Well why can't they just teleport to her?!?!" Is what you're probably asking, and the simple answer is that they can't anymore. That's right, we're getting rid of their whole teleporting ability! They got away with it for too long, it's dumb, it's stupid, you're welcome-
Moving on, of course the vampires go full "manhunt mode" trying to find her, assuming that because she was so tired and the fact that she wasn't a great runner, she couldn't had gotten far, right? Well, unsurprisingly, the exact opposite happened. Yui manages to make her way to the other side of the park, somehow avoiding the other five in the process, still very much on the trail of the dove. Speaking of which, the little dove flew and flew while Yui just followed and followed, eventually leading her all the way to a run-down funhouse, far away from all the other attractions. It flies into the building through one of the only open windows, to which she's quick to follow suit, although rather scared and questioning whether or not the place would even be open, Yui is proven wrong once she placed her hands on the door, allowing it to creak open. . . no turning back now. . .
Seeing the building from the outside, it led her to question to what it was exactly it closed down for, because despite how old the building probably is, it still looked fairly decent. Entering and exploring however, she very much understood as to why, each corner and crevice of the building were covered in not just black mold but were riddled with the bite marks of rats and other creatures. As grossed out as she was, Yui kept moving, using what little sun was left peering through the windows as her source of light.
She needed to find the dove, she had to! Cause in her mind, maybe just maybe, it would help her learn the truth. . . did a witch really try to talk to her. . . and after several minutes of searching, she finally found it. Inside an open room, with its walls coated in mirrors, was the little dove, sitting right in the center of the room, waiting for her, helpfully illuminated by the last few seconds of golden hour. Yui was overjoyed, and ran toward the creature immediately, going on to tell it how happy she was to see it. After so much waiting, she'd finally would get some form of closure! But their little reunion doesn't last long. . . Just moments after Yui enters the room, the once completely open-door slams shut, startling the both of them and causing the dove to fly into Yui's arms. Both were, respectfully, confused by this, considering they were the only two who'd entered the building to begin with
Turns out, other girls weren't the only ones sneaking glances at her. . . Men stared too, but rather than viewing her as a victim, they saw her as a price tag. . . This one group in particular knew the vampires were overprotective of Yui and would go through extreme lengths to keep her in their mits, thus, the kidnapping. And given the brothers are rich, we all can probably tell what will happen. Out from the shadows, the group of men revealed themselves one by one; to make matters worse, Yui could recognize so little about their faces before she started backing away in fear. That only continued when they started talking, and by the first sentences she already knew exactly what their plan was. . .
She hoped the little creature in her arms would help her, but it was just as scared as Yui, beginning to quiver in her arms, even it knew they couldn't handle these guys alone. . .
Now with the two surrounded, this seems like the end. . .
But strap in everyone, this is where things get good!
Remember the mirror-covered walls? Well, one of the men notices and points out something disturbing about their reflections. The images presented, instead of showing the regular facial features, it showed the men with black holes for eyes, as well as large, drooling a gap smiles, it looked like a kid scribbled over the mirror with a black marker. And before anyone could know what was going on, something just as terrifying is displayed, the images begin to distort and move in ways unlike any funhouse mirror can. What were supposed to be faces began laughing, their arms increased in length, and parts of their flesh were fused together, almost like something stripped out of a horror movie. Using their elongated arms, they stretch themselves out of the mirror, each reflection grabbing their respected creator and pulling them to their fates. Yui watches in speechless awe as the men scream and struggle for freedom, but are left helpless in the hands of the mirrors. . .
Sooo. . . They're dead. . .
Pretty much every moment of that scene was jarring, but what made it even more jarring were their reactions. Yui, rather than going into instant terror or fear, is left in a state of shock, maybe she was still processing what happened, perhaps she thought the encounter wasn't as terrifying as having bloodthirsty vampires at her neck; but one thing's for sure, she'd never seen something like that before. As for the little dove, its reaction was the polar opposite, it cooed in cheer and glee as it flew from Yui's arms and onto her head, snapping her back into reality. She attempted to calm the creature down and figure out what was making it act like that, but to no avail; till, from out of the blue, a feminine voice began to speak to both of them, echoing within the room and only increasing the little creature's excitement
"Good work Apollo! You've got her!"
Somewhat startled by the sudden talking, Yui violently turns herself around to find the source, causing the bird on her head to fly off and onto her shoulder, still just as happy for some reason. When she asked who said that, the dove finally directs her to the very front of the room, there, the final unused mirror stands. But instead of showing anything that merely resembled her reflection, it showed something entirely different. Like some kind of magic, bright, colorful blobs of light began to shine from the mirror, turning her confused shock to amazed awe. Gears in her mind began winding as a curious gleam gets into Yui's eyes, she walks forward, still ever so curious
The feeling she got was almost magnetic, continuing to creep forward it were like time itself stopped just for her, and by then, she'd already long forgotten about the vampires hunting her down, truly during these moments. . . nothing mattered other than to reach the mirror. . . Only when Yui reached the middle of the room, is when she abruptly stopped. Thankfully, her sudden stop made her come back to her senses for a little bit, so although still curious, she couldn't understand why. . . she wanted to keep moving but her body kept telling her not to
Obviously, this starts a small argument between her mind and gut, both fighting for control as Yui stood there helplessly, rightfully confused the bird on her shoulder.
"Cmon, cmon!- We're so close, keep moving!"
"No, no, something is bound to happen! We should stay put just in case. . !"
But as the two sides continued to bicker back and forth, the still yet radiance mirror began to move, vibrating violently, bringing the internal argument to screeching halt; and Yui immediately understood why she stopped. Suddenly, a white aura glowed from the mirror edges, the rapid shaking causing cracks to form on its surface, and once more, that feminine voice speaks to her once more
"Awh, having trouble deciding to keep walking, are we?~"
"It's honestly understandable, I mean if I saw a glowing, shaking, mirror, I'd walk towards it too right? *Hah!*"
"Oh! Another thing, terribly sorry for what happened earlier. Me and Apollo expected you, but, weren't expecting the guests. . ."
*Even more cracks form on the mirror*
"*Sigh* supposed I kept you waiting for long enough, don't you think. . ?"
"You've worked so hard and gone through some much. . ."
*The mirror becomes almost entirely broken*
"I'd say it's time we finally met: face to face!"
And with that, the mirror finally shatters, nearly making Yui fall back in fear, covering her face and the dove with her arms as to not be injected with the shards of glass that were flying across the room, yet only exciting her bird friend. Once she thought the coast was clear, Yui hesitantly pulled down her arms to see what was in front of her, then she saw what she thought to be unexplainable. The mirror was shattered, but the colors underneath still remained, creating this luminous, unworldly, entrance. . . like a portal to another dimension
Gaining back her footing, Yui was, respectfully, tooken back by the sudden jump-scare of broken glass and surprised by the vortex in front of her, but the little creature didn't seem to mind, fluttering off her shoulder and atop the strange gateway, yet by then, she'd already put the pieces together and knew exactly who was about to walk through that door. Like clockwork, a faint silhouette formed in front of the entrance and began pulling itself out of the reflection. This was it. . . The moment she'd been waiting for. . . The witch that's been trying contact Yui, the witch that sent their familiar to her at a time of need, they were finally going to meet. . . And honestly, Yui was whole mess of emotions at that point, scared was one thing for sure, but a sudden wave of joy and determination as well. Finally, she would get the answers that she so desperately wanted, and nothing was going to stop her, not even bloodthirsty vampires. . .
Stepping out into the real world, the figure fairly resembled a human, with a short structure and a thin hourglass figure, perfectly matching their voice. They lightly dusted off their shoulders as the dove cooed in joy and fluttered onto one of them
"*Sigh* Not one of my greatest entrances, but it'll do. . ."
They turn to a, very much in awe, Yui, and begin to walk toward her, amused by her reaction and the look on her face. Slowly but surely, their figure changes, becoming more human and revealing their true form. They've shown to be someone roughly Yui's age, brunette hair with bleached tips and the richest of hazel eyes; wearing 70s attire, a red beret, red-painted lips and an amused yet sweet smile. Now in front of her, there were so many things Yui wanted to say, so many questions she wanted to ask, but due to experiencing so many emotions at once, it awkwardly came out in one sentence
"Y-you're. . . you're-"
"What? A beauty? A muse? *Gasp* Your savior?!"
"Y-You're the witch. . !"
". . ."
"*Eh* I get that a lot. . ."
"Niji Shikisou, The Painter Witch, at your service~"
"Nice to finally meet you, Ms. Eve. . ."
As they did a little curtsy to introduce themself, new questions as well as old remaining ones were swarming Yui's head, and they were very aware of this, and although they wanted to clear things up to make things easier, what Yui didn't know was that time was running thin. Just before Yui could say anything else, they quickly cut her off, telling her they understand how confused she must be, reinsuring her that she will get the answers soon as long as she was patient and if she trusted them, offering their hand. And like the Painter Witch said, she'd come so far. . ! After outwitting the vampires and commending to their torment for years, she deserved to know the truth. . ! So, Yui, wanting the truth more than anything, takes Niji's hand, accepting their offer, which pleased them that she was so willing to cooperate
But everything can't be too easy, they're quick to direct the group's attention to the ground, where most of the largest shattered glass shards laid. Forcing herself and Yui to crouch down and look at the shards, Niji uses that same spell to alter the current reflections, to show what exactly was happening concurrently. Just like before, it instead revealed the actions and faces of all ten vampires. . . and they looked angry! Turns out while searching for Yui, the triplets, Kou and Azusa rejoined with the rest of the group, and were getting close to their half of the theme park. Of course, Yui was absolutely terrified by this; now if this were one-off thing, the brothers would probably find a "creative" way to punish her, likely a whipping or taking turns drawing her blood, but remember, she'd done this multiple times to this point forward. . .
So, case in point, if they find her now, they'd rip her to shreds, or worse! But before Yui could properly panic, Niji calms her down, reinsuring her that she has nothing to worry about with them around. Very much unintentionally reminding her of a very important fact, witches are stronger than vampires. They go on to say that they've already had a plan to deal with the vamps, and they were gonna need mirrors, a lot more mirrors! Despite having even more questions, from that point forward, Yui had never trusted another person more in entire life, there was no time to chat. Grabbing onto her, Niji forced the two of them back up again, saying they had no more time to waste. With that, pulling Yui by the hand, they sprint toward the shatter doorway, forcing the whole group inside! All the while, Yui fully trusted her, despite having no idea what her plan was. . .
~Meanwhile~
Both Sakamaki and Mukami brothers were still searching for Yui, the sun was now completely out of the sky and all the lights in the park were coming on. Once the group rejoined, the rest of the main vamps, Yuma and Ruki were all rightfully angered by them losing Yui, causing the group to argue a bit, only stopping once Reiji breaks them up and reminds them of the task at hand, putting an end to their fight for the time being. Like a pack of hungry wolves, they scout a majority of the theme park for their prey, and looking at their plan on paper, it was pretty uncoordinated, cause despite working together for half the search, they could only cover so much ground at a time, making their attempts to find Yui even more difficult than if they just split up into groups of two. Making matters worse, they weren't the quietest nor the sneakiest either. . . Yuma and Subaru, so angry about her sudden disappearance, caused massive amounts of damage to the park itself, to which they were narrowly caught by park staff
This was entirely Reiji's idea, due to still not trusting the Mukami brothers, and finding the plan as a way to not only find Yui, but also to keep a close eye on them in case they tried running off with her again, despite how time consuming it would be. At that rate, the vampires kept searching and searching as it got later and later into the night, eventually making their way to the other side of the park, where all the old and unpopular attractions were. Irritated, Kou climbs up an old signal tower to get a better look at their surrounding area, the view he got wasn't the best, the tower he climbed was a bit smaller than what he expected and the night sky away from any source of light wasn't helping either, but he made do with what he had. When yelled at from the ground, asking for what he saw, he did a slow 360° with his body, scoping out the land. He yelled out the repeated phrase "nothing" as he went full circle, at first he didn't see much, just rundown buildings, the night sky, nothing too special. It's only when he got about halfway around, he saw something truly unexpected. . .
"W-W-Wait. . ? What are those sparkly star things. . ?"
"A-Are those particles?!"
From out in the distance, Kou saw bright yellow, glowing particles, radiating from one specific area. Bewildering him, cause aren't all the attractions were supposed to be closed? And what made more suspicious, were that the particles were coming from one specific area and nowhere else. . . Once Kou came down and reported what he saw, they were just as confused as he was, and despite how big of a red flag that is, the guys were running thin on options on actually finding Yui, so they headed there without another thought, desperate to reach her again, and once they did, it was nothing like they've ever seen before. In front of them was the most saturated building the group had ever come across, covered in every hue of the rainbow, the building itself looked like something straight from Las Vegas, like one of those fancy and over-the-top casinos, and at its entrance were flickering, neon-glowing signs reading things like:
"Alastor's Wine: Best Served Cold Finale!!"
"One Night Only!!"
"Don't Miss It!!!"
Alongside a sign of an amorphized dove. All radiating, you guessed it, the glowing particles Kou saw earlier. Internal alarms were blaring in their heads as everything about that place practically screamed "trap!" But at that point, they were already getting desperate, a majority of them were tired from the searching and wanted to get things over with. So slowly, they crept up to the building's entrance, watching each other's backs in case something happened. Pulling Ayato in front, the rest of the group decided to send him inside first, and annoyed but still wanting to keep his pride, he grudgingly agreed. Right away, and like Kou, he notices the unexplainable, how despite the building being so unyieldingly bright, there were no signs of any lights, no stage lights, no electrical cords, nothing; so either they used really powerful technology, or this was the building's natural colors. . !
The groups kept moving despite, and luckily for Ayato, the building had no doors, which made taking a look inside a tinier, all be it being ten times saturated on the inside than on the outside. With everyone in front of the door, they all got a look inside, it seemed safe enough, neither of them still weren't too sure. . . what if the gateway is rigged with traps? Sheepishly, Laito suggests that Ayato should go first, since he made this far taking the lead, to which he immediately regrets, because he knew a rattrap when he saw one. . . It went on back and forth between the guys, everyone pointing fingers of who'd be willing to sacrifice themselves of entering the strange building, eventually sparking yet another argument between the vampire, but this time, Reiji is even quicker to end it. . ! He breaks up the fight in half, loudly scolding them that their bickering wouldn't get them anywhere closer in retrieving Yui, and how he was gonna get everyone inside? He thought of that too. . .
Turning to Ayato, he asked for one of his shoes, and although confused, he reluctantly does give him one. Reiji goes on to explain that he's going to throw it into the building, and if nothing happened to it, that meant that the room was trap-free and it was safe to enter, earning a collective "ooohhh!-" from the rest of the group; there were many times where Reiji truly felt like the "smart one," this was one of those times. . . Anyways, with the object in hand, he throws it into the building, already thinking that this plan is was just a waste of time as is. Yet, instead of the shoe just getting a long distance in the air before hitting the floor, because, well, gravity. . . The object, immediately upon entering the building, completely changes. Its appearance alters, lightening in color and matching the building's insides, which takes the entire group by surprise. That's when Reiji finally notices just how different the insides of the building were from the outside
Cause while everything outside looks sturdy, simple and well, normal, the inside of that building looked almost "hand-drawn", it looked more smoother, rounded, like something straight from a classic Disney film. But just before Reiji or Ayato could question anything further, Laito, obviously thinking that it dragged on for quite long enough, just pushes them in without warning. Uncalled for sure, but exactly what the group needed. . .
"Laito, what the hell?! What was that fo-?! Wah-wait a sec. . ."
Similarly to the shoe, both Reiji and Ayato's appearances change just like that. Becoming more detailed in their physicals, again, like it was straight from a classic Disney film. Of course, everyone had their questions, Ayato even asks if they'd all took something earlier. But no time to think about that! They have a Yui to catch! They had to keep going, so with the unintentional greenlight, everyone else entered the building, a few of them marveling in their new looks, and quickly began their search. . . They fell for it
With that, we finally learn about Niji's plan, and unsurprisingly, it involves using Yui as bait, but not in the way some think. Niji, as holder of the Painter Witch title, was no stranger to creating vivid illusions that mess all sorts of minds, so they knew immediately what they wanted to do. Using their magic, they transform the building, turning it from a crusty run-down attraction to a marveling casino within seconds. But, as fate would have it, they knew the vampires weren't going to fall for such a trick, so that's where Yui comes in! Niji could change the casino all she wanted, yet there were still some things she couldn't, more importantly being, Yui's scent, which was behind by her earlier. . .
Exploring inside, every room had the typical over-exaggerated casino vibe, blinky lights, colorful machines, any bell and whistle you could think of was there, but of course, that's not what the vampires are here for. They immediately recognized Yui's scent from the hallways she'd traveled in before, and reverted back to their instincts, scouting each and every room in search of their prey, all now irritated and dead set on finding Yui. Till finally, all 10 of them, after tracking down her smell at its strongest, led them to grand and alluring doors, jackpot. . !
Yui's scent was now stronger than ever, and they were ravenous, like they've haven't eaten in years. Both Yuma and Subaru swing the doors open with full force, allowing everyone to run inside without a second thought. The room inside completely matched the door that guarded it, the place was almost entirely covered in large round tables, all draped in simple white cloths, looking to be a sort of preforming area, at half of the room was a massive stage, weirdly shaped and leveled by stairs going up, covered in even more bright colors and blinky lights, but the strangest thing about it were the mirrors littered all across its walls, including one giant mirror in the center, only lit with dim lighting. Yes, something was especially off here, red flags were all over the place. The group didn't let their guards down for a second, checking their surroundings and watching each other's backs. Their eyes were glued to the stage, waiting for something to just pop out, and eventually something did. . .
"Finally, you all showed up! I was starting to get bored!~"
*Niji's voice echoed within the room, practically jump-scaring the vampires and throwing them into defense. Looking all around to find the source of her voice*
"Do you know how easy you're making this for me? I could've made my get away at any moment, but *sigh* I knew. . ." "I knew that little pests like you were much too persistent. . ."
*The group gets slightly irritated, noticing that the voice was feminine*
Yuma: Who the hell are you?!
"Who I am is none of your business nor of your concern thank you. . ." "Not like it'd be much use to you anyway. . ."
*She only fuels the flame as most of the group got angrier, how dare this woman talk so condescendingly to them. . !* *Quickly realizing she was the one responsible for Yui's disappearance*
Ayato: Alright, quit the horsesh*t, where's Yui?! We know you have her!!
"*Hmm?* I have not the slightest idea what you're talking about"
*Before Ayato could bark back, Kou places a hand on his shoulder, giving a nod while smiling as he stepped in front of him*
Kou: Look lady, there must be some misunderstanding here. Our little Maso-kitty happens to be our property, so if you could just hand her over-
"Oh! You're talking about Ms. Eve! *Haha!*" "Yes, she's safe and sound with me and I plan to keep it that way. . !"
*At that point, their patience was already growing thin, like ravenous dogs ready to snap. Subaru shoves his way to the front*
Subaru: *Ugh* You piece of sh*t!! GIVE US THE MORTAL OR ELSE!!
*Suddenly, the giant mirror at the center of the stage begins to glow, the same as before but brighter than ever* *The group shields their eyes*
"Oh temper, temper!~ What got you so worked up?" "Are you upset I have your little toy?~" "Well too bad! You weren't putting her to good use anyway. . !"
*Cracks begin forming on the mirror* *Most of the group peak to see what was happening*
"Yet to come this far. . ! It gets harder and harder to tell whether or not you actually care about her. . !" "*Sigh* suppose there's one way to find out. . ."
*Finally, the mirror shatters, sending glass all over the place and causing the group to fully cover their faces* *Once it sounded like the coast was clear, they all slowly put down their arms*
*All eyes towards the now broken mirror, Niji steps out of the carnage as once unnoticed spotlights shine onto her, revealing her form and sickly-sweet grin* *Revealing her true form, the vampires were a mix of shocked, confused, and angry. Subaru, so angered, immediately began running up to the stage, all the while Reiji immediately realized something sinister about her*
Subaru: Why you!!-
Reiji: Subaru, wait!!
Just before he could even land a finger on her, she swiftly dodges the attack, shocking him, and delivers a colorful blow, causing him to go flying into one of the mirrors on the side. She then proceeds to turn to the, now horrified, vampires, shocked that she managed to take down Subaru so easily, and finally realizing who exactly they were up against. From her back, Niji proceeds to pull out a paintbrush, holding it in both hands before it magically increased in size, letting it go and allowing it to levitate in the air like it was nothing. It floated above her as it began to spin violently, the bristles extracting a colorful paint-like substance as the wind around them became sudden and almost violent. Niji begins cracking her knuckles
"You all do love Ms. Eve, don't you?~" "So, why don't you all stand up and fight me for her?!"
And it was at this moment, they knew. . . they f*cked up. . .
With a blur, Niji gave all ten vampires the most colorful beat-down ever. . ! Seriously, paint was everywhere! And unlike Niji who has magical powers, the vampires didn't have weapons, only having the cloth-drawn tables as ways to block their attacks and as projectiles, which she'd merely blast. But regardless, it didn't matter what they did or what they threw at her, cause Niji would just hit them even harder, it was hopeless. . ! All the while, she would continuously tease them, asking why aren't they using "their powers?" And in all the commotion, you had to wonder, where was Yui in this? Keeping this part brief because of time
Well, Yui alongside Apollo, was climbing up to the roof of the building. As a part of Niji's plan, once the vampires were defeated, Niji would fly the two away, allowing Yui to leave the vampires' grasp entirely. Obviously, Yui was hesitant but wasn't going to pass up an opportunity like that, so she ran to the rooftop as fast as she could. But before Yui could make it, she gets confronted by a paint-covered Azusa, who saw her heading upstairs and tried to beat her to it, He made one final attempt to convince her to stay with them, saying how things wouldn't the same without her, only to be cut off by Niji, pressing the back of enlarged against his own, threating him not to say another word, forcing him to back off. They proceed sprinted pass him and toward Yui, grabbing her hand once more and guiding her directly to the rooftop
Every moment, Niji just seemed to surprise her more and more, whilst also confusing her at the same time. Why did she do so much for her? For what reason was she being picked out? What did it have to do with being "Eve?" How did they even know she was "Eve?" Yet despite all the questions, a part of her felt. . . relieved, like years-worth of chains were magically being lifted from her body, this was her chance of escape, and she took it without another thought. Arriving on the rooftop, as Niji prepares their paint brush for their escape, Yui grabs ahold of their wrist with both hands, and just thanks them. For, well, everything, for giving her a friend, for saving her from those creepy men, everything, small tears welled up in her eyes as Niji turns and smiles at her, saying it wasn't a problem, before instantly scooping her up, and onto the magical brush
Both of them on basically a broomstick and with Apollo on Niji's shoulder, the two take to the skies, Yui held on for dear life while Niji was as calm as ever. Just before they'd could fully leave, the vampires showed up just at the nick of time, all injured and covered in paint and bruises, already angered but unable to reach them due to them being very much flightless, they were unsurprising powerless, and Niji takes the chance to gloat a bit while they were still in the air
*They giggle*
"Awh~, what's wrong? can't make it up here?~" "You know, if you want her so bad, why don't you just fly up and get her?~" "I've always wanted to see a vampire turn into a bat. . ."
*The bloodthirsty vampires were beyond angry and ready to snap, but from below, they looked like angered little dogs*
Ayato: DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO YOU'RE MESSING WITH?! WE'LL RIP YOU APART LIMB FROM LIMB!!!
*Reiji started to bark back as well, his now extremely cracked glasses almost completely fell off his face*
Reiji: IF SOMEONE LIKE YOU HAD ANY BRAIN, YOU'D STOP TREATING THIS AS SOME GAME!! HAND OVER THE MORTAL!!
*Despite the tears rolling down his face and the obvious redness, Azusa tried to stand his ground and act tough*
Azusa: You. . . you big bully. . ! L-let go of Eve, LET GO OF OUR EVE RIGHT NOW!
*Yui's eyes were closed out of fear during the yelling, she wasn't used to being so high up. But just by their voices, she was surprised, she'd never heard them this angry before. . .* *Niji just looks down at them, unimpressed but amused, before laughing*
"Oh no~ I'm so scared!-*hahahah!*" "I knew you would all get mad, but I didn't expect you to be this hotheaded- Oh!- That reminds me!"
*They snap their fingers as warm-colored particles release from their fingertips*
"I left a little surprise for you, think of it as a parting gift!" "Just be careful going downstairs, ok?"
*Within seconds, the brush began to lift higher into the air, Yui holding on all the tighter as she felt it shift*
"Well gentlemen, I think it's time we'd depart. . ." "Terribly sorry it has to end like this, but don't worry. . . We'll take good care of her. . ." "Bhyeeee~!"
And just like that, they were gone. . . The vampires watching speechless, in horror, as the witch shot up into the sky and disappeared, Yui only catches glances of their faces as she, Niji and Apollo flew off. . .
. . .
You still here? Good. . .
As you can probably tell, this's one of my longer posts, and I'm not too confident not many people let alone anyone will read it, but I had a lot of fun writing it so, screw it I guess
Big apology for taking so long, I thought it was going to be easy but man, did it take me longer than I expected, to a point I had to write some parts in school TwT Overall, I did this project for fun, as well as trying to bring in more darker and mature elements to my writing. Despite how time-consuming it was and how trashy the actual anime was, I genuinely enjoyed putting my personal spin on this show and giving it the rewrite it deserves. I'm not entirely sure if or when I'll bring this back, maybe if it gets popular enough-
How I actually found this series is still beyond me though. It really felt like I just looked at the show and went, "yeah, I can fix him. . ."
Anyway, be on the lookout for my other projects And as always, stay tuned^^

Have to say: “Saturday” is my favorite episode of the newer Criminal Minds seasons (so far - I’m still catching up and literally just watched “Saturday”)
Mainly because … (and list under the cut because it was longer than I thought it would be)
1) I’m just imagining that this is a normal weekend for the BAU crew. Something tells me they don’t ever have a weekend like everyone else does. Minor chaos has to happen somewhere.
2) Emily drinking several glasses of wine and eating donuts - living her best life tbh … but she can’t seem to catch a break even on her day off.
3) Garcia going all in on catching the stalker because she knows what it’s like (and I would like to give Garcia a hug)
4) Reid being challenged by his therapist to have a normal, non-work related conversation with someone outside of work.
5) actually just that entire first few minutes with Reid in his therapy session. As someone who has near zero physical social interaction with people outside of my work: I can hard relate.
6) Tara’s “Make Rock Not War” shirt. I need it.
7) JJ and Tara being awesome together
8) literally all of JJ’s reactions to what was on that streamer dude’s phone. JJ’s expressions are the absolute best and AJ Cook just nails it every time.
9) Emily tasking Tara with getting that conspiracy theorist neighbor to go away and drop the lawsuit and Tara accomplishing that in like ten minutes.
10) Idk that random FBI agent who was babysitting the conspiracy theorist neighbor was kinda cute and I wish to know more about the agents who work in the BAU office but aren’t on the dream team.
11) Look I never really shipped JJ and Reid and idk that whole subplot at the end of the last season and the beginning of this one seemed somewhat forced in my opinion. But I do like seeing JJ looking genuinely happy that Reid may be finding someone and I do like their dynamic as close friends. I would very much like to see Reid happy, the guy’s been through enough.
Point 11 kind of sent me into a thought spiral of JJ and her dynamic with Emily in the recent seasons I’ve watched (haven’t seen Evolution yet). That turned into a very long ramble that I’m just gonna shove onto another post before this becomes the length of a novel. So stay tuned for that little analysis brought about by sleep deprivation and what’s left of my adderall dose.
Special mentions to Rossi being in dad mode and helping Simmons out. Whatever the fuck dynamic is going on between Penelope and Luke - I don’t know how exactly I feel about it but it’s kind of fun to watch.
It was just a fun, light hearted episode where no one dies or is in mortal danger. The stakes weren’t terribly high except for the girl who was being stalked by proxy which - yeah god that’s gotta fuck someone up. But the unsub didn’t like kidnap her and hold her (or her ex who he was really stalking) hostage which I’m glad for. I’m glad it was resolved peacefully and the unsub was just a loser who probably was too much of a coward to do physical violence. Thank god my apartment is either carpet or tile. No floorboards to hide under.
Anyway … yeah so I liked the episode.

Thinking about the time I went to this group therapy thing for a diagnosis I had gotten a couple months prior. But It started half a year before i got my name (& gender marker) legally changed. So I had to give the organization my deadname when signing up. This wasnt too much of a big deal, they used my actual name in therapy, my pronouns, didnt out me in the group or anything, things were fine.
Now after nearly completing the whole year of group therapy I overhead one of the women running it talking about a seperate group that sounded perfect for me, that they didn't seem to advertise in their flyers etc so I never had heard about it. So I decided to approach her after one of the last sessions and ask her about it. She seemed excited about me joining it but told me she would need to do a pre interview first. We set an appointment for maybe 2 weeks later.
Now, in the most vague terms, this was a group For Very Traumatized people. I show up to the sort of "interview" a little nervous, expecting questions abt my biography, effects of trauma I'm dealing with, how I'm coping with them, blabla. She basically opens up with "so I asked the other group members about a Man joining them, and when one of them expressed that she wouldn't be comfortable with it, I explained your situation to her!" With a big smile on her face. My "situation". She outed me to this random group of people I had never even met before. This group was not once meant to be a womens space. She simply should've given everyone the option to decide if they were comfortable with this. That's all. Not fucking outing me. For the woman who wasnt comfortable with me as a cis man? Sucks for her. But that doesnt mean this worker gets to potentially endanger me for that womans comfort. But of course she did.
So that's over. Can we finally get to the interview? Of course. However she opens up with "oh you know, I've just been super interested in how things were for you growing up. If you could tell me about that." I go "with the. Abuse?" She doesnt react. "....The autism?" "Oh, no no! The trans thing!"... I sit there a little confused. I give a short one or two sentence answer thinking we will move on to the actual topic of this group. But no. She keeps digging. What about your family? Did you have ~the surgery~ yet? How was school? What about your partners? What about your extended family? What about-
And i was unable to tell her to stop. I answered everything as vaguely as possible. But as a trans person you're always seen as fucking representative of every other trans person. You're not an individual you're either a walking advertisement for corruption or a fascinating oddity of a mystical group to disect and test and observe. If I had told her it's none of her business what's in my pants, it's not actually important to this group how my uncles reacted to me coming out? No I dont want to tell you in great detail the effects of testosterone on my body? Etc. Maybe she'd make a mental note of "trannies = rude and combative. Secretive. Dont want their ~allies~ to be educated about their experiences (why?!)" and I dont wanna be responsible for that in a setting where that person holds so much influence over someone's access to mental health care. So I mumbled my way through it.
In the end the "interview" for a fucking trauma group was 30 minutes of me being increasingly uncomfortable by being prodded over being trans, and roughly 5 minutes of her telling me about some rules in the group and asking a single question about how to best handle me when past trauma gets triggered. I ended up not joining anyways for mostly (!) unrelated reasons. But like. What the fuck was that. I dont understand how some cis people who are interested in trans experiences wont just like. Watch a fucking documentary. Read a book. Theres people who make it their lives mission to share their experiences. That Does Not Mean every random trans person you meet will wanna do the same.
Also again dont fucking out people without their consent. I cant believe we still have to say this oh my god

And The Psych Ward Says
there is no need to worry this asylum was built to help you and just like the straps on the stretcher you rolled in on we are going to keep you safe and secured notice the locked doors and all the cameras perched in the corners like hawks we will be watching but this is all for you and your well being you are sick , anxious , depressed a danger to yourself the state told us to hold you for 72 hours but if you sign this paper we can pretend that your stay here this weekend , is voluntary
friday morning , you will be woken up by strangers in white coats and clipboards you will be asked again and again and again about why and how you want to kill yourself be honest remember , you are only here for 3 days so take advantage of the 5 to 10 minutes you have with the doctors but understand he has a list of patients as long as his pay stubs so you won't be receiving any ACTUAL therapy sessions while you're here but we will recommend them as treatment for after we let you out until then we want you to be comfortable so sit back enjoy the plastic furniture and colouring books we have old radios with no antennae but the static is still loud enough to drown out the sound of the woman screaming in 2B that's just cindy she just does that sometimes well , she didn't always but she does now and until we can find the right medication we are going to keep helping here just like we want to keep helping you if only you'd let us
it's friday morning and you haven't even tried the meds yet you're still lying to us about holding the knife to your arm like your parents haven't told us everything just be honest and let us help you did i mention that the state only recognizes the existence of psychiatric patients monday through friday meaning the past 48 hours you've spent here didn't even count meaning we still have time for a break through or a breakdown this is a good thing this means we still have time to help you and i can see that you're getting upset but do not walk away from me with tears streaming and knuckles buried in palms that type of body language is aggressive and we might have to do something about that a sedative , maybe diazepam , perhaps ? i don't think being alone is best for you right now maybe , you should spend time with the other patients get to know how they got here listen to them when they tell you you got lucky getting placed in this psych ward we are one of the good ones and we want you to stay here we figure , if we keep you long enough maybe you'll eventually start to fit in or maybe if we keep you locked up you will eventually start to act out and we will be right here waiting to prescribe you something to label you with a diagnosis we didn't cause your social anxiety we only heightened what was already there we just want to see you reach your full potential as a patient we told you this asylum was built to help you

Part 2 to the rant
okayy so anyways eventually she makes me go in her room and strip to my undies and bra off and checks but she only sees cuts on my once safe zone and time skip blah blah blah she asking me a bunch of questions and stuff I end up saying too much about how I am essentially a people pleaser and I'm not satisfied with my life yada yada. And after that later in the day because that happened around 3-4 she tells me I have a therapy session booked for tmrw or the day after at 3 and I'm jst like 😦 how the fuck you already make and find one so fast😭 but yeah and I would say my my emotions were still in shock because I was acting like ain't shit happen and going to make cookie dough and cookie cake with my sister but the next day omg I was mad and rightfully so bc wat the fuck just happened to me (and she gave me back my phone that same night but I made sureto delete stuff so incase she did loon before she gave it back she wouldn't see anything) and I was just saying things like why did I go make those two last shitty cuts if I didn't make those this wouldn't have a happened so a few hours my nerves are still high asf and I'm pissed so I get a stick pen the kind you use for sewing or pinning something in place but not the safety one and scratcy my thighs in the bathroom because I couldn't get caught again and it didn't go deep but I just needed the pain (why does cat scratches and baby's hurt so much like) and it pretty much goes on the day with me in my room or forced to be around ppl when I wanted to choke my neck off and the therapist made it for the next day so the next day comes around and during that day I purge because I ate too much when I wasn't even supposed eat at all😒 and during that ig my mom is getting anxious or what ever because like every motherfucking 3-5 minutes she is knocking on the bathroom door talking about let me in and hurry up it don't take that long to poop😀 so I had to speed it up and wash the purging look off my face and when I come out the bathroom she brings me in her room and says let me see your legs and tell her I obviously haven't cut that would be so stupid right after you get caught but she doesn't listen and make me get in panties and bra (AGAINJDHSG) and she was like asking tm to show her my boobs to make sure it's not there and tryna look at my MOTHEBRFJSIS inner thighs like umm no please what the fuck your not looking there and when she doesn't find anything ofc I ask her straight up what is your problem because this is not it you tryna make me strip every fucking day and when she tells me how she's concerned about what I'm taking so long in the bathroom for and thought I was cutting I say I understand tm your concerns nd shit but I'm not about to be showing you all around the fuckin globe she don't get it and like omfg she ends up saying she will tone it down and when I tell her okay but your not checking my whole body she say "I'll hold you done if I have to" 😐 I don't even know what to say like ik she's my mother and shit but like I feel so violated honestly like why are you tryna see every where when I told you MULTIPLE TIMES that I only cut on my thighs in these two squares so why are you tryna see all in my inner thighs and on the side of my hips and shit like😥😀 but yeah after that I was not left alone till I almost cursed and was about to make a scene in front ofmy sister so she let's me go and later that day I have therapy and she asks me stuff and idk why but she asked me do I hear voices after we start talking about imaginary friends nd talking to my self😭😭 like no bestie I do not💀 but after that it's pretty much my mom done my back not being able to be alone or in the bathroom trying to take an actual shit for once or so my hair and how I keep running to the bathroom like no😭 and her constantly asking how I'm doing and keep touching me nd shot giving me hugs don't get me wrong I live hugs but I hate being pitied so it just feels so fucking annoying and so belittling and she keeps saying I'm going through something. So enough with that situation part 3 next ig....

What got you into watching / liking / writing fanfics for FOP?
A large part of it I think is the fact that I didn't grow up watching the show, so it was completely new to me to analyze and I had the chance to binge all 9 seasons that were out at the time (And the first couple episodes of Season 10 that had dropped).
Growing up, I glimpsed a few episodes like "The Switch Glitch," "My Big Super Hero Wish," "Mr. Right," and "The Big Scoop" but I didn't remember much of them. I also saw the last few minutes of "Abra-Catastrophe" when I was young (at a pizza place, muted but with subtitles, which is also where I first saw all of the above).
When I was high school aged, I stumbled across a post somewhere that was someone commenting about how wild it is that FOP straight-up just dropped the lore one day that Timmy froze the timestream for 50 years. Someone's response to that post was "WHAT??" and OP wrote a brief explanation about "Timmy's Secret Wish."
Immediately, my mind was captured. I was sunk. Suddenly, this random episodic kids' show that I'd never had an interest in became something that - as far as I knew from that post I'd seen - had been carefully crafted with incredible lore.
About two months after that (?), I left my room one day to find my sister watching "Abra-Catastrophe," which was playing live on TV. It was at the start and I hadn't seen it before, so I decided to watch an episode... not realizing this thing was movie-length. She didn't stay for long, but I didn't turn it off and watched the whole thing.
After that, I spent a while searching for a way to watch the show. I'd watch in between study sessions and would often stay up late to watch "just a couple more episodes" on my phone in bed, which wasn't something I've done before or since. I was already interested in psychology (got a bachelor's degree in it) and was incredibly charmed by this show about a kid who carried the weight of things like trauma, abuse, and neglect on his shoulders.
I just loved the way this children's show casually portrayed these things, such as by dropping in mentions of Timmy going to therapy when he was 5, and it all weaves into this story about how he's a troubled kid and how his fairy godparents care for him. I hold so much love for "School's Out - The Musical" and a lot of that probably has to do with the fact that I was lying in bed crying over it at 3 AM, ha ha.
It took weeks and weeks of watching, but I finally made it to "Timmy's Secret Wish" and I had a blast. I love it... I've heard it's not everyone's favorite for X or Y reason, but to me, "Secret Wish" was THE reason I found a spark in FOP. I binged the entire series knowing full well that "omg, one day Timmy's going to reveal that he freaking FROZE TIME FOR 50 YEARS, WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK, they really DID THAT AND I CAN'T WAIT" and it was extremely cathartic to watch that episode unfold, while I had known all along that someday he'd get called out for what he did.
I still adore that episode so much, I love the stupidity of Foop trying to erase Poof's existence, he wins the court case, and finally Jorgen turns to him and points out that Foop is about to die and he starts freaking out and acting like a scared little kid. I love his stupid face as he tries to bribe the Fairy Council for his life with a one dollar bill.
I love the dark drama of these ancient fae ripping children out of existence. They are children. They did not waste time with good-byes. Foop didn't even have his parents in the room, he just got sucked into a vortex and disintegrated from existence. That's so messed up, I love it. And the Fairy Council took away Cosmo and Wanda's memory of losing their child, but they left freaking Jorgen to deal with that guilt on his own - dealing with the fact that he's partly responsible for getting his best friends' kid wiped from existence - and that's also super messed up.
It's literally always hilarious that FOP lore allows time travel in multiple episodes, to the point that Jorgen even straight-up tells Timmy that he's "free to muck around in the past as long as he doesn't touch March 15th, 1972 again" and I absolutely love the fact that Timmy made this secret wish and carried this massive secret, unable to tell anyone, unable to speak up as the world around him was stuck in a loop, and MAN....... man, man, man I love it so much. It's so good, this already traumatized and panicky kid had to deal with this on his own for 50 years and it's so messed up.
I love FOP because it appeals to the inner child me who never saw this goofy slapstick show growing up, it appeals to the author in me who loves the characters and worldbuilding, and it appeals to the psychology lover in me who really enjoys how Timmy's home life is portrayed and how he changes through the years.
There's just so much that can be said about Timmy and his fairies, like how Cosmo and Wanda are supposed to be treating Timmy as just another job but they keep getting pulled in deeper and deeper to the point that their attachment to him starts interfering with their work, but they don't want to stop loving him... and so much can be said about Timmy and the fact that he made the deliberate choice to stall everyone's aging for 50 years because he didn't want to let go.
Just... idk, the sense of peace and confidence that it must have brought him to know he could wake up day after day and never age, and the MASSIVE guilt-trip that must have dropped on his head when he got dragged to Fairy Court, forced to confess, and he watched everything started falling apart... watched his godbrother get ripped from reality... Like, that must have really messed him up and I am absolutely HERE for it. Last man on earth, more like only person on the planet who's conscious about how much time is passing and he watches everyone around him celebrate the same new year, the same birthday, over and over and over for 50. flipping. years and he tells nobody. Geez.
Where else can I go to see this kind of content? Where else can I go to see "the characters never age and are trapped in a time loop" become actual canon, and furthermore where can I go to see this piece of canon get treated as the absolutely twisted, un-okay decision it was? Nowhere else. I love this show. I love "Secret Wish."
I also love the frozen timestream because it's just messed up on so many levels in such delightful ways. For example, Chloe's parents are absent so often that it's implied she raised herself watching Fair Bears cartoons. She's so oblivious to the outside world that she didn't even know who Catman was, and he's one of the in-universe equivalents for Batman.
When you take this in the context of the frozen timestream, you're forced to face the fact that oh, yeah... This girl totally just spent 50 years raising herself on kids' cartoons, no biggie. It makes her distant relationship with her parents so much darker if they couldn't make time for her for 50 years instead of just 2 or 3.
Also while yeah, I don't totally love Timmy's parents sliding off the deep end in their flanderized, over the top way, I do really like toying with the idea that they got burned out on raising a kid because they were raising him for over 60 years straight without a break when obviously he should have moved out a long time ago if time had kept progressing. Their later personalities are not my favorite, but I can acknowledge the exhaustion they must have felt after running themselves ragged with childcare for an extra 50 years without their consent. They didn't ask for that. It was more than they could handle.
Foop's in the exact same boat with the repeating timestream. He was sentenced to solitary confinement in a maximum security prison from the day he was born. The day he got out of there, he accidentally fell into a "portal of oblivion" and isn't seen again until the first day he goes to school. Like. bruh. Geez. No matter which way you slice it, you've got 50 years you have to sort out for his backstory, so he either spent a huge portion of his childhood in solitary confinement, a huge portion in the void, or both. It's very messed up and I love that for him.
There's so much lore that I love, and so many good episodes I treasure. The Juandissimo arc is definitely something to behold, because this guy went from "I live and breathe Da Rules" to this massive depressive spiral after losing Remy where he literally was unable to hold a job because he just kept sobbing over his ex-godson, and then when Remy gets stranded on a deserted island and kicked aside by his parents, Juandissimo finally snaps and says "Screw the freaking rules, I love my godson and he's mine now, I'm giving his memories back and his parents can't have him." I'm so obsessed. Juandissimo for godfather of the year, doing the right thing for a miserable child no matter what Da Rules say.
I love the implications this has in future episodes too, because Juandissimo and Remy reunited in Season 5, and we have confirmation that they're still together in Season 7 (after Crocker kidnaps Juandissimo from Remy's mansion)... I'm glad that was a long-lasting bond for them.
But also the episode "Jerk of All Trades" gets me reeling because Jorgen made it explicitly clear in "Cosmo Rules" that only a member of the von Strangle bloodline was worthy to be Keeper of Da Rules, which is why he needed Cosmo to fill in while he was sick because Cosmo is a member of that bloodline. Yeah, the Fairy Council HATES Cosmo and when Jorgen got fired in Season 9, they really turned around and said "Juandissimo, you're in charge" which is MIND-BOGGLING because they straight-up went "Yeah, the guy who broke Da Rules is more worthy of being Keeper than Cosmo is" and the sheer POLITICS that would be involved in that backhanded move are insane, sdlfkj.
Love me some good fae politics, they know what they did. And then when they end up firing Juandissimo, they take his HOUSE so he goes crawling back to his ex, only for Cosmo to throw him in the freezer, it's so hilarious, it's so insane, Juandissimo takes the biggest freaking Fs...
Also just while we're talking about how much I love Juandissimo, shout out to him backing the heck away from Wanda when she was under influence of a Cupid arrow and fell in love with him, she tried to kiss him and this man really went "Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope" and took off running down the street, love that for him slkdjfs. He might still be in love with his ex but he definitely wanted her old personality back, good on you bro.
I freaking love this show, it's fun and layered and silly and shallow and deep and dumb and incredible and I love flopping into it like a snowdrift and just letting it sink under my skin.
I just love thinking about this show, its psychology, and the effect the frozen timestream had on its characters. I love the joy I get out of digging up weird pieces of extra content like the OG episode scripts on Scribd, or the old games or comics - I can't get enough of H.P. and Sanderson almost running over Vicky with a squad car and then arguing with her about how they really are police officers, skldfjs - I love thinking about Da Rules, making even the obscure ones as canon as possible, and fleshing out the worldbuilding.
I like thinking about life for Fairies who just, y'know, go about their daily business and they have flipping Anti-Fairy counterparts who just. exist. Imagine if that was your life, you had this identical twin who opposes you in every way, and they're locked up behind a magical barrier so you might go your entire life without even meeting yours. Wild.
FOP is a unique flavor for me to write, especially with the canon time manipulation. That level of "10-year-old desperate to not be ripped apart from his foster family so he bends reality and keeps it quiet for 50 years" is a vibe I wouldn't be able to capture in original projects, and I just really enjoy writing 'fics for the series because I can't have this anywhere else <3 It's a goofy fairy show but it's MY goofy fairy show and I adore it for what it is. I love the characters, I love the world, and I freaking love "Timmy's Secret Wish."

Human Tito x Human Ozzie pt. 6
(How many times do I have to say this? Not for kids. This involves r@pe.)
Society is pretty hard these days for the people in this asylum. Ever since Ozzie came to this place, he's been touched, told, forcefully done by many people in sexual ways. Tito never knew about this. It wasn't just 2 people that he mostly avoided, it was a lot more. The orderlies and doctors never do anything about it since they think of them as "playing around!" Ozzie was walking in the hallways until he bumped into a group of guys, "Hey! What the fuck?!" Ozzie got scared and he couldn't process a word. "Wait..." one of them metioned, "Aren't you that faggot that's also gay?!" Ozzie couldn't do anything but just nod. Another dude joined in, "Well, if this bitch likes a dick so much inside him, we should do the same..." Ozzie got scared and ran off, "Get back over here, you slut!" Ozzie was panicking and tripped onto the floor. One of then grab him up aggressively from the front of his shirt, "Now, you do as all 5 of us say! We just need something for us to play with! You look like the prefect toy... Besides, you do have a nice body... You look pretty cute too, but your dumb ass boyfriend ain't here to help you, now, is he?" Ozzie finds a response, "H-How...am I...a t-toy?" The guy starts to get angry, "I mean a sex toy, you fucking bitch! If you're good and fine with your boyfriend putting his dick inside you, you should be fine with us doing the same damn thing!" A few minutes later, Dr. Fine had realized that Ozzie missed a session. She went to her office to make sure if he had a day off of session therapy, but he didn't. Dr. Fine went on her walkie talkie, "Hey, uhm, we have a code orange. A patient has skipped their sessions. Oswald Anderson, number 398. Can we get a search?" Somebody answered, "What a coincidence, I was just about to ask the same thing! But, instead it's 5 other guys! Sebastian landers, Eric Mason, Joseph Onles, Damian Lewis, and Raphael Lorenzo." Dr. Fine gasp, "We gotta do a search!" An orderlie responded, "We're searching right now." Dr. Fine walked in the hallway to do the same thing, but the janitor closet had been locked. It's never locked, but she heard somebody banging on the door. She decided to unlock it, seeing Ozzie on the floor, shaking, bruised, crying, nobody else was in there, but him. Ozzie found a response, "T-T-They...hurt me! T-They..put i-it in...me a-agressivly!" He was crying as Dr. Fine helped him up. She went on her walkie talkie "I found Ozzie! He prefers to be called that, by the way. We need orderlies and the nurse! Whatever you do, just let everyone else go to lunch early! If they ask questions, don't answer them! Just make sure every patient goes to lunch early!" At lunch, the Crazy 8 table noticed one person missing, Jerry notices first, "Hey, we know that sometimes Ozzie sits here and sometimes doesn't, but he isn't sitting at the table over there like he always does." Sara response, "He? I figured out that Ozzie's trans-" Cammy covers Sara's mouth, "What Sara meant to say was that she hasn't seen Ozzie anywhere either. She also meant to say is that she is confused on why everyone came to lunch at fucking 10:15." Tito looks at Jerry in a pissed off way. "I-Imma just go to the nurse, I have a headache and a stomachache...I feel like puking..." Jerry eyes go wide, "Oh, fuck!" Tito pukes on the floor. "Fuck, fuck, fuck! Wanna come with me to take him to the nurse?!" Cammy asked, "Sure, of course! But we have to wait until he's done...puking." Sara responded. Tito kept puking on the floor while the table was covering their eyes or looking down. A few minutes later, they took him to the nurse with a trash bin from the hallway. "Sorry to interrupt, Dr. Fine, but our dear friend had made a mouth spill on the dear floor in our dear cafeter-" Cammy slaps Sara, "Shut the fuck up! Uhm, Tito actually puked on the floor, we told the janitor to clean it up and I think he...needs to throw up again....We did bring the trash bin from the hallway!" Dr. Fine nods, " We have a patient right now that's been raped, just sit here."
Sara worries, "W-Who? Is this why we were all sent to lunch early?"Dr. Fine looks at Ozzie. Sara gasped, "O-Ozzie! Tito, your girl- I mean, boyfriends here!" Once Tito had heard the word "raped" and saw Ozzie, he didn't care if he had puke on his clothing, he went up to Ozzie. "Ozzie, amor, what happened?! W-Who did this to you! Tell me! Who touched you?!" Ozzie looks down and starts crying, "T-They put...their thing in...Ozzie like we did... i-in the library! O-Ozzie no f-feel...too good!" Tito gets up looks at Dr. Fine, with anger and frustration. "Señorita, who did this to him?! He isn't a virgin, but who raped him?! T-This is my boyfriend, for crying the fuck out loud!" Cammy starts tearing up and Sara cried. Dr. Fine looks at Tito, "Elíaz, calm down-" Tito gets furious, "Don't call me by my fucking real name! Answer my damn question, who the fuck touched him, who the fuck had sex with him, who the fuck raped him?!" Dr. Fine look at him, "W-We don't know!" She didn't want him to know since she actually figured out. Nobody else knew, but her. She just wanted to make the asylum look good. She got suspicious on the 5 other guys who skipped a session too.Tito looked at Ozzie with tears, "Don't worry, I'm here! It's gonna be okay! Did you not like what they did? Did they make you feel uncomfortable? Tell me!" Ozzie looked at Tito as he was crying too, "I-I didn't want...no touchie! They touch...O-Ozzie! T-They put...it in me roughly!" Tito felt guilt inside him as Dr. Fine also started to have tears, "I-I'm sorry that I wasn't there! ¡Lo siento, amor!" Tito looks at Ozzie's neck, seeing that they left a hickey on him, multiple. Dr. Fine tried to respond, "Elíaz, you have to change your clothes. I-It has puke on it-" Tito looked at Dr. Fine, " Don't call me that! Do you even see that he has multiple hickeys on his neck? He even has bruises everywhere! Dr. Fine started to get serious, "Elíaz, don't start to get aggressive-" Tito starts getting a lot more anger inside him, "Aggressive?! Do you even know how serious their actions fucking did to him?! Even if I had sex with him, I wouldn't do all that shit! Giving him bruises, multiple hickeys, traumatizing him! Hell no! He's autistic!" Dr. Fine shakes, "W-We did check him up, just go sit over there until we can check you too-" Tito starts to try and tackle Dr. Fine while Sara and Cammy grab him, "Tito, no! Stop it! Calm the fuck down! I know that Ozzie isn't okay right now, but we'll make sure that he isn't hurt anymore!" Cammy tried to tell Tito, but he still kept trying to attack Dr. Fine, "Orderlies! Help!" The orderlies started coming and grabbed Tito, "Just sit him over there until me and the nurse could check him next! We have a raped victim right now!" Sara started to cry even more while Ozzie cried the most. Dr. Fine and Cammy tried to relax Ozzie, but it didn't work. Ozzie was there, traumatized...

Location: Taliah's Home. Mentions/Tags: Kaan (her father), Ayda ( her mom), Lousie (her father's girlfriend), Serkan (her Uncle), @colemonroe, @emiri-tezel, the club in general. Triggers: talks about death, grief, trauma. Summary: Taliah's father finally returns 'home' from business after months. He hasn't been home in almost an entire year and so, they have a lot to catch up on. Fatherly concern, decade-old confessions, emotional speeches and hope for the future.
"Well, better late than never." Taliah shrugs from her seat on the couch, staring at the presents now placed on the coffee table. They were supposed to be exchanged at Christmas, but at the last minute, her father had cancelled his trip and had only just gotten around to visiting. Still, it was a happy occasion, she loved to catch up whenever he came back and this time, she felt as though she had so much that was positive to tell him.
At least half an hour had gone by, she'd told him all about how her new role at the fire station was going, everything about July 4th, right down to running in and saving her friend's child. That earned a solid look of concern that was completely warranted, but she wouldn't let it take away from the fact she got lucky and actually saved a child's life. Taliah spared her father the details of her breakdown and chose to only tell him that she had been attending therapy sessions for a while now. She wasn't ashamed by it, why should she be? It takes strength to admit when you need help. That much she knew was true.
"That's all wonderful, kızım," [my daughter,] "I can see the difference in you. You look happier." Kaan nods, smiling warmly over at her. "I am happier." Taliah agrees, able to feel the difference in how she was just a few months ago. She hadn't got around to talking to him about Cole yet, saving that for last only because she knew she'd talk the most about that topic. "How long are you staying? I have the day off on Thursday. I can cook dinner, you me and Cole? It'll be nice." At least, it sounded nice in her imagination. "And Louise?" He says, causing Taliah to shuffle her shoulders in mild discomfort. "I didn't know you brought her with you." An honest comment and one that actually tracked because when he did come back here, she usually stayed in whatever luxurious all inclusive resort they'd been residing in. "She's my partner, Tali, I'd really like you two to share more than a couple of words. So, sure, I think dinner together sounds like a wonderful idea, give us all a chance to chat. You'd like her if you just give her a real chance." He speaks convincingly, and all Taliah can do is respond with a tight smile and enough grace to say "okay." Even if she didn't believe it for a second.
"It's long overdue, and I would like to catch up, especially since I haven't had the chance since you and Cole became an item." Nodding, he tried his best to smile but Taliah knew him well enough to see that something was off. "... Yeah," she mumbled. Before she could ask, he was already making an additional comment that had her mouth popping open. "I lost the bet," sighing, he leans forward to place his cup down. "Serkan and I, outside of the clubs bet, we had a foolish one between the two of us that we shook on maybe 5 or so years ago now. He bet $100 that you and Cole would get together in the next ten years. I bet that you wouldn't, I thought the two of you would just remain friends." Chuckling slightly, Taliah couldn't help but crinkle her nose a little, though she wasn't surprised there was yet another bet that happened in regards to them.
"Um, well yeah, we were friends. You know he's always been my closest friend, that hasn't changed." Even now they were in a relationship, it hadn't changed the fact that Cole was still her best friend, he always would be. "I'm a little surprised, actually, you're the first person to say they didn't see it coming a mile away." She comments, watching curiously as he shakes his head as if to suggest she's wrong. "I could see what everyone else did, I just never thought you'd act on it. The years had gone by and I guess I just assumed you were looking for someone... you know, different." Still with a polite smile, he hadn't meant any offence, but Taliah couldn't help but feel like he wasn't as happy for her as everyone else was.
"Different?" Scratching a little at her head, she shrugs her shoulders. "To be factual, I wasn't looking for anyone, period. If I was, maybe I'd have noticed what everyone else did a lot sooner, but, different?" Frowning, she shakes her head firmly. "No. He's always been everything I needed, you know how he treats me, you have seen how he cares." The way Taliah had always turned to Cole first, above everyone, her father knew the pair of them were bonded from the first time they met. "Oh, I know that, Taliah. I don't mean it the wrong way, Cole is a great man." Kaan nods, knowing it to be true, at least regarding his daughter. How could he ever forget how he sacrificed his freedom to protect her?
"He is a great man. So why is your face doing that thing it does when you're not being honest." Taliah folded her arms, finding herself just a little defensive and confused. "If you have something to say, dad, just say it." Adapting a firmer tone, she couldn't stand people who beat around the bush - whatever he was thinking? She wanted him to spit it out. Kaan sighed, knowing that tone all too well, remembering how his wife, her mother, had the exact same one whenever she got irate. "My sweet girl, I'm not saying I'm not happy for you, I am. But... As a father, I think there's a part of me that hoped that if you found someone to share your life with, it would be someone... Normal." His eyes partially squeezed shut as soon as the words came out, knowing that he hadn't really explained that the way he intended.
"Normal?" Taliah was taken aback by everything he said, but nothing stuck out to her more than that word. "Normal..." she repeated, leaning back in the chair. She knew what he meant by it, he was inadvertently saying that he wasn't thrilled that she'd chosen to share her life with someone belonging to the club. "Normal doesn't equal safe." Tilting her head to the side, a look of distant thought there in her eyes. "I thought Callum was normal. Look where that got me." Brown eyes watch as her father practically grimaces at the spoken name. "I understand why you would have your reservations as a father, but I think you're out of line. Cole, the club as a whole... They took us in like family, you know them. You know what they'd do to protect those they care about."
"I know, I know... It's just a worry, the things they do, the dangers, I can't handle the thought of you getting wrapped up in something because of how they live their lives. That's not me judging any of them, sweetheart, it's just my instinct to be concerned for you." Grappling with his own thoughts, he was trying his best to articulate exactly what he wanted to say, but he could see from the look on her face she was far from impressed. "Bullshit." Taliah scoffs. "I'm a grown woman now, I don't need your concern. Where were these instincts when I was 16? You moved us here to be with Serkan, you knew that meant the club too. You can't...." Pausing, she can't help but blow out a half breath, half laugh of pure disbelief. "You can't decide to be worried now, when that worry wasn't enough then to keep us at home and a world away from them all." Home being Turkey, that was. "What absolute bullshit, honestly." Pressing a thumb and finger over her eyes, she needed to take a minute, a breath. How could her father rain on her parade this way? Why couldn't he just be as happy for her as everyone else who loved her was?
"That's not fair, Taliah." Grumbling at her sees to her hand moving away from her face, eyes widened with surprise. "Oh, it's not fair, well fuck me, guess I didn't realise it wasn't fair. Must run in the family." Biting at him before she could even keep up with what was coming out her mouth, she would be lying if she didn't regret it. Not that it showed on her stubborn features and folded arms. "Meaning?" He asks, and she knew to expect that he would. "Meaning," a pause, a deep breath as she makes some attempt to form the words and do so carefully. Her intention was not to hurt him, but she felt so defensive right now that it was difficult to really articulate. "Was it fair for me when you uprooted us from home and brought us here? You needed your brother, don't think I don't understand that. It was just hard for me, I don't think you ever really thought about that." A slow shrug, she can see the wheels of confusion turning inside his head. "I wanted a new start for us, I..." He stops, not even knowing how to proceed, but luckily, she did. "You wanted to run away from your pain. Like I said, I understand. I never protested, but that doesn't mean I wanted the same. I just kept quiet because I knew it was what you needed, and I thought if it helped you, then it was worth it." Taliah admits. "But I was so... Isolated. We left behind everything. Everyone. All my friends, all the things that I was using to help me, it was gone, and we were here. Strange town, full of people who talked so fast I couldn't keep up. Because maybe you forgot, but I didn't have the world experience you did, nor the ability to be as fluent in this language as you were. Emiri tried her best, Serkan too, and so did Cole, but it didn't change the fact that for a long time, I didn't want to be here, I wanted to go home, and you didn't see me enough to notice."
"You never said..." His voice was quiet and his face, a vision of guilt he had never registered before. "You never asked." Taliah says, pulling in another deep breath. "Me, Serkan, the club, we made sure you kept your head above water because that's what you needed. It was Cole who did that for me, he didn't talk at me, he talked to me, with patience and kindness that helped me feel like I wasn't so alone. That's what helped me see that the entire club was doing their best to invite us into their world, into their family." Sitting forward, Taliah holds his gaze just so she can be sure he's listening. "I'm not trying to make you feel guilty... And I don't blame you, not for any of it. I just don't think you've ever let yourself think about how your decisions impacted me. The club saved your life and they certainly saved mine. So you can take your normal, and shove it. I don't need normal. I need them. I need Cole. They're my family."
"I know they are. Taliah! You've misunderstood what I was trying to say." Frustrated, he drags a hand over his face and lowers his head. Everything she'd just let spill out needed time to process. The fact she was right about it all only made him feel more ashamed than he already did. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I did that to you. I... had no idea you felt so unhappy about the move. I thought it was what we both wanted. I didn't want to be there without..." He stops, even now, finding difficulty in talking about her mom. "And I just assumed you felt the same." His eyes are stung with tears, and Taliah can't help but feel bad about the way this all came tumbling out. "Dad, I don't need you to be sorry, I never did. I'm just trying to explain, because I think you need the reminder that the people you're worried about me being around are the same people you propelled me into as a teenager. The same people who helped us when they didn't have to. The dangers now were the same then, the only difference is I'm an adult now. I can decide for myself whether they're risks I want to take, and much like you, I've chosen to take them, with the knowledge that they're completely worth it. They're built differently, you know they are. Every one of those men would shield you from harm, every one of them, I could leave my drink with and know I'm not going to get spiked. They are good men at their core and I know now that being here, with them, with Cole, it's where I belong. So you can give your blessing or refuse it, your opinion really doesn't influence how I feel." Nodding her head firmly, she has to swallow the lump in her throat that threatens to show how shaken she is by her confessions. She doesn't want to crumble, she needs to be strong because this was the truth; it was her truth.
Her dad was silent for what felt like minutes, in reality, it was probably just a few seconds. "Serkan was the best man I ever knew, and back then, I didn't know what it meant for him to be a Son's founder. I knew a little, and suspected a lot, but what I knew in my heart was that he was a good man. It didn't take me long to see that the people he was surrounded by were just as good. So yes, Taliah, you have my blessing, of course you do. Maybe you forget that I too, have watched Cole grow up. And what he did for you back then, with no thought for his own consequences, it gets my highest respect. Anyone who would give up their freedom to protect my daughter is worthy of my daughter. I don't need you to tell me he's good at his heart, I can see it." Kaan breathes out slowly, keeping his eyes on his intertwined hands. "I've let you down more than I realised... And Cole never has. That's what you're telling me, isn't it?" He glances his eyes up at her with a gentle, sad yet knowing smile. "Not in such a black and white way, but yeah, I guess that's what I'm saying." Taliah whispers, not feeling great about knowing she's basically pushed her father down and gave him a kick for good measure. "You weren't the same after mom, but you did your best. You did what you had to, to survive. That's why I don't need you to be sorry. No regrets now, it worked out. I love this town now and I couldn't see myself anywhere else. The decision you made back then gave me everything I have now." Offering a smile, she feels a lot calmer now, but also incredibly sad.
"I'm still your father, I'll worry about your safety even if you were in an empty room. I really wish I could have been better for you, Tali. I'll be eternally sorry that I wasn't. More sorry for all the misery I caused you without noticing. I'm... glad you had people to help you when I couldn't." He nods, shifting in his seat. "I guess I've never shown it the way you needed me to, but you are my entire world, my child, and I'm so proud of you. I love you, Taliah, and I'm very pleased to hear that you're happier than you've been in a long time. That's all I've ever wanted for you, is for you to be happy." He stands up, gesturing for her to do the same, and she does. "I'm in town for another couple of weeks. I'd like to spend most of it with you, if that's okay? Cole too." Opening his arms out, Taliah nods silently and walks in for a hug, finally choking on the breath she was trying to steady. "I'd like that." She mumbles, for all the raw truth that had been voiced, she also felt like this was something that needed to happen, perhaps now, they could understand each other better. "I'll see when Cole is free for dinner here one night. You... can bring Louise. I don't like her, dad, but I'll be civil, only because you clearly do." Even though Taliah thought Louise only wanted him for his money, she could try to be nice. "Well, don't strain yourself too hard," he jokes, leaning in to kiss her forehead. "I do appreciate the effort to be civil. Now, can I just clarify that you mean you'll be civil in the universal sense, or civil in Taliah sense?" He teases, already to Taliah's huffy annoyance as she gives him a shove. "Be grateful I'm even using the word civil!" Frowning, they held eye contact for a couple of seconds before bursting into a laugh that felt a lot like healing. Maybe, just maybe, they were going to be just fine now.
