Activities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
Sebastian’s happy to be anywhere or do anything as long as he’s with Nick and he can listen to him ranting about whatever. Nick, however, loves to take Sebastian out to eat.
Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
Both of them love that the other accepts them. Sebastian loves Nick’s joy and Nick loves Sebastian’s intelligence.
Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
Sebastian barely knows how to take care of his own needs so he panics when Nick has a bad day. Nick tries to give Sebastian gifts, mostly food, and tells jokes and stories.
Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
Both of them dream about sharing the same space with each other until the end of time.
Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
In the beginning of their relationship Sebastian has to order Nick to clean up after himself. However, after a certain incident, they agree to divide the chores between them and Sebastian leaves Nick’s room alone.
Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
Their arguments are loud and explosive. Both use slurs and try to use the other’s worst trait against them. Nick forgets what they’re even fighting about the next day, but Sebastian, with his excellent memory, will hold a grudge for months.
Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
Nick is so so so happy that Sebastian has chosen him as his partner after yearning for him for years. Sebastian, on the other hand, constantly thinks that Nick will leave him any second.
Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
Both Nick and Sebastian decided to not reveal their pasts to each other when they first moved in together. Over the course of the trilogy they learn to not hide anything since that will only lead to heartache.
Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
Sebastian learns to be less judgemental and Nick learns to be more organised.
Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
Sebastian’s entire reason for biphobia is because he gets jealous of Nick picking anyone and everyone to be his sexual partner instead of him. Nick wouldn’t be happy about giving Sebastian up but he’d do it if it meant Sebastian would be happy.
Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
Because Nick had a lot of sexual partners, he has a lot of experience. Sebastian cums at their first proper kiss because Nick’s technique made him feel so good.
Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
In an ideal environment? They’d never admit their feelings because they both believe the other’s too good for them.
Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
Sometimes Sebastian dreams of Nick being mad enough to agree to be his spouse. Nick would ask the question randomly like he’s talking about the weather. Everything becomes more intense – the fights, the sex, the gifts. Nick would send Sebastian a shitton of romance memes in addition to the normal ones that causes the latter’s phone to overheat.
Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?
Nick sometimes calls Sebastian ‘Sebster’ and Sebastian will call Nick by his full name if he’s mad.
On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
They have such googly eyes for each other that Nick’s coworkers had a bet on whether he and Sebastian would end up together eventually.
PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
Nick brags about how lucky he is to have the hottest, smartest, funniest person in all the dimensions as his boyfriend/husband. Sebastian doesn’t like people prying into his private life. He gets flattered but also annoyed when Nick kisses him in public.
Quirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.
Sebastian’s photographic memory saves them a lot of time because he writes stuff down that he needs to remember in his bullet journal.
Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
Nick gives Sebastian lots of material gifts – at first it was the typical ones like flowers, but they get interspersed with useful ones. Sebastian just gives Nick food he knows Nick likes – ice cream, candy, cake, etc – in small amounts.
Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
Sebastian doesn’t pursue hobbies in the beginning because he believes he doesn’t have time nor money for them. This is why he doesn’t like Nick drawing as a hobby at first. As time goes on, however, he tells Nick he can buy a drawing tablet if he wants and even volunteers to come with him to get it. Nick, in a reversal of roles in the third book, is aghast that Sebastian wants to write about his experiences in moving dimensions but of course supports Sebastian any way he can.
Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
Sebastian’s first love affair is routine so he doesn’t like change. Nick has to hold off on trying new things to not put Sebastian on edge.
Understanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
They have contrasting personalities so sometimes it’s hard for them to empathise with each other but they always get resolved in the end.
Value - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?
They define themselves by their relationship. They’re unhealthily co-dependent for affection and think nothing means anything if they didn’t have the other’s approval.
Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
Nick remembers to run an errand that Sebastian forgot and receives Sebastian being more active in bed than
X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
Nick is a very touchy-feely person. He’ll touch Sebastian anywhere and everywhere; Sebastian hates it at first because physical touch gives him the heebie-jeebies but slowly he learns to tolerate it.
Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?
They have no need to be apart for very long because they live together. Sebastian will dwell on Nick so much that he fucks up whatever he’s doing. Meanwhile Nick will look for something to buy to make Sebastian smile.
Zeal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?
They’re both willing to let people die in the destruction of the dimensions as long as the other didn’t find out about his feelings. And once they’re together, Nick proclaims he’ll do anything as long as Sebastian stays in his life.

A Place In This World
The Afterthought: Chapter 5 | series masterlist
ACOTAR x Archeron!Reader
chapter 4 | chapter 6 | ACOTAR x reader masterlist
Story Summary: Working at Sevenda's is a welcome escape from the River House, where you've become little more than a ghost after Starfall.
Warnings: toxic family, depression, self deprecating thoughts (none of them are too terrible this chapter)
Words: ~8.4k
Author's Note: I never seem to get as far in the plot as I want to in every update... This chapter isn't too crazy exciting, but there's some sweet moments and a little bit of angst with the sisters. I hope you all enjoy this update! Title is of course from Miss Swift 🫶
18+ only pls
🤍🤍💔🤍🤍
Your neck was stiff when you came to, the beginnings of the morning sun spilling across your face.
The ground outside was glistening with a fresh layer of snow, nearly untouched at this time in the morning. It seemed even the early risers had chosen to sleep in today, after the revelry of Starfall last night.
You, however, wouldn't stay asleep any longer. Not with the cold numbness slithering through your chest, curling itself around your heart, your lungs, your ribs. An absent hand came to rub at your chest, to bring some semblance of life into your hollow heart once more.
No such luck.
A glance at the clock that had recently been placed above your bedroom door told you that it was half past six.
That gave you two and a half hours to bathe, drink tea, possibly eat something, dress, and make your way to Sevenda's.
You did just that, sinking down into hot water, a sigh leaving your lips as your body soaked in the heat. You could almost pretend you felt alive.
After forcing yourself from the bath, you dressed in a simple, dark green dress. It was made of cozy wool, and the long sleeves were easily pushed up to make whatever work Sevenda would give you easier. It fit you loosely and reached to just above the tops of your feet, something you were grateful for after last night.
The feel of all those males' eyes on you... It was unsettling then, and unsettling to think about now. You could hardly imagine wanting to be looked at like that by someone you actually liked, let alone by strangers... How could Feyre stand it? How could anyone stand it? You supposed each person was different...
You shook your head, clearing those thoughts away. No need to contemplate how inexperienced you are in the romantic world, despite what Nesta claims.
Quietly, you crept downstairs, keeping an ear out for anyone who might be awake, teapot in hand. Thankfully, no one was in the kitchen yet, and you were able to prepare a pot of tea with no interruptions. Safely ensconced in your room again, you sipped at the lovely orange and cinnamon tea you had made.
As you stared out at the still-sleeping city, your mind drifted to last night. How Feyre had had no time for you, and Mor hadn't appeared while you had been in the House of Wind. Feyre had been crowded by the citizens of her city, that was understandable... Mor not showing up worried you though, but you were sure there was an explanation. And your other sisters and their mates, well, you hadn't believed they would interact with you anyways.
Azriel had been... Surprising. Caring. Sweet, almost. Him noticing that you had left wasn't something you had even considered, with how close he had been with the pretty redheaded friend of Nesta's. And... You had become accustomed to not having your absence noticed.
Your eyes closed for a moment, a wave of sadness washing over you.
You still felt so alone.
The minutes continued ticking past as you stared blankly out the window, sipping on your tea when you remembered to.
Soon enough, it was fifteen minutes until nine, and you peeled yourself out of the armchair. Boots first, then the short cloak, scarf, and mittens Azriel had given you for Solstice- also the ones that he had draped around you last night in the cold.
You wondered how he had gotten them...
You just barely remembered to grab the cup that Sevenda had lent to you before you snuck out of the River House, into the snowy city.
The walk to Sevenda's was peaceful, quiet. Most citizens of Velaris seemed to still be sleeping, and the blanket of snow on the ground muffled everything. The silence of the normally bustling city matched the feeling in your heart.
Empty. Cold. Quiet.
Sevenda's was warm already, the smell of spices lingering pleasantly in the air when you pushed your way in through the door.
"Ah, Y/N! Lovely to see that you decided to come in," Sevenda's warm voice greeted you from the left, a hand waved in greeting.
"It's nice to see you too, Sevenda. And thank you, again. I really appreciate the offer. I brought back your cup," you added, raising your hand to show it.
"Thank you, dear," Sevenda said, taking said cup from your hands. "Would you like to get started?"
You nodded your head, and let the fae lead you to the back of the restaurant, into the kitchens. It was large, with multiple shiny, silver stoves along the back wall, three matching cold boxes, a wall completely taken up by pots, pans, anything that you would need to cook. There was also counter space galore, with two other fae already working dough in the far corner.
"For today, I'm going to see how you do with prep work, mainly with fruits, vegetables, and meats. If you do well, I'll keep you on full time, if you'd like," Sevenda said, her words sparking a bit of hope in your chest.
Chopping, dicing, cutting. You could do that.
"That sounds perfect, Sevenda. Thank you for giving me this chance."
Sevenda smiled warmly at you, and placed a gentle hand on your shoulder. "Of course, dear. Now... Are you feeling alright?" She asked more quietly, a concerned look in her eyes.
You nodded. Even though you weren't, you didn't want to rehash last night's events. "Yes, thank you." You even shot her a smile that you hoped was at least half-convincing, relieved when she returned the expression. "What should I start with?"
"First, you'll need an apron and to wash your hands," Sevenda said, leading you to the large sink, which conviently had a plethora of aprons hanging on hooks next to it.
You did as she asked, scrubbing your hands under hot water halfway up your forearm, dress sleeves already pushed up to your elbows. You tied a dark blue apron around your neck and waist, and faced Sevenda, who was pulling a cutting board from a cabinet. You noted the location, wanting to be as useful as possible as often as possible.
"I'll start you off by demonstrating how I like everything to be cut, and you'll do the same thing right after. I know it will be a lot to take in, but most of it is fairly simple. Let me know if you have any questions, alright?"
"Alright," you said resolutely, nodding your head.
The hours passed quickly, filled with you absorbing the information that Sevenda was feeding you through her demonstrations, taking in every angle that she used the knife at. You did decently, your cuts a bit clumsier than Sevenda's but still accurate enough. She was kinda, reassuring you that in time, you'd gain confidence and surety in your movements.
It was lovely.
Feeling needed. Feeling useful. You had entirely forgotten how that felt over the last two years, being the extra sister with no magic to help in a way that someone else couldn't.
By the time your shift was finished, Sevenda had pulled you aside to speak with you, anxiety building in your gut even as she smiled warmly at you.
"I'd like to hire you on immediately, full-time if you'd like," Sevenda offered, a twinkle in her eyes. "You've already got the basics down, and you're on track to catch up with my other prep cooks so long as you keep at it with the same enthusiasm you showed today. So... Would you like to have a job?"
A smile- a true, unburdened smile spread over your lips. "I'd love to, Sevenda. Thank you so, so much for this opportunity."
"Thank you for solving my dilemma of hiring a new prep cook, Y/N! Now, do you have an account with the Bank of Velaris already?"
You thought for a moment before answering. "I do... But it's the one that Rhys and Feyre set up for me. Would I be able to make a new account?"
You still felt like such a child, knowing so little about how the city you lived in worked. You had spent so long wishing and longing to leave that you'd hardly taken the time to learn about Velaris. Seeing how you were stuck here, likely permanently... The thought sent a pang of sickness to your stomach. But still, since you were stuck here, you might as well start learning about the city in which you will die.
"I'm sure that could be set up... Would you like any help with it?" Sevenda asked.
"That would be amazing, but you don't have to," you said, hoping that she didn't feel forced to help you, after your breakdown last night.
"Oh, nonsense, I'd love to help you Y/N. We can go in a few minutes, I just have a few more questions for you. Now... Would you like to work five or six days a week?"
That was an easy choice. "Six days would be best, I think." Less time in that house, waiting to be left out of events and dinner conversations.
"Alright, and if you ever want to go down to five days, just let me know and we can work something out. Do you have a specific day that you'd like off?" You shook your head. "Would Mondays be fine with you?"
"Mondays would be just fine," you replied. "Do you..." You paused, rolling the question over in your head. "Do you know of any apartments for rent? You don't have to answer, of course, I just thought I would ask," you said quickly, already regretting the question.
Sevenda merely smiled at you. "I do know of a few close by. Once you have a week or two of pay in your account, we could go look at a few sometime, if you'd like?"
You nodded quickly. "That would be amazing, Sevenda. Did you have any other questions for me?"
Sevenda closed her eyes for a moment before fixing them on you once more. "None that I can think of at the moment, but you'll be back tomorrow in case I forgot anything. Now, let's go get you a personal bank account," she said cheerily, rising from the table you had sat at. You followed her lead, letting her take you to the large, white marble building that had a large matching sign with, presumably, its name written in the large gold lettering on it.
Making an account was easy enough, and within the hour you had a small metal card, magically linked to your bank account in hand, your first day of pay already deposited by Sevenda.
You walked back to her restaurant with her, parting with a brief hug, initiated by Sevenda.
"I'll see you in the morning, Sevenda," you said, the words repeated back to you by the kind, chocolate eyed fae.
And then your legs carried you without thinking, back to the River House. The snow had melted just slightly, and was significantly more trampled than when you had arrived this morning. The sun was nearly set already, casting a pretty orangey-pink glow over the city.
Pretty.
The River House was warm when you entered, and thankfully there was no boisterous laughter coming from the living or dining rooms.
A part of you still longed for someone to ask where you were, what you had been doing all day.
But you knew better by now. And you were proven correct when no one came to greet you, even while you made a small dinner of rice with grilled vegetables. You even ate in the dining room, a rarity for you in the past months, the tiniest part of you hoping that Feyre might come in to talk with you. Or that Mor would show up, and you could spend part of the evening together.
Neither happened, and soon enough you were back in your room, a fresh pot of tea in hand, soothing, calming lavender and chamomile again.
You had enjoyed your day at work, but it had exhausted you. All you wanted at the moment was to fall asleep, but you chose to do something else before crawling into your makeshift bed in the tub tonight.
You would try to read. With your gift from the twins in hand, you pulled the cookbook that Nesta had gifted you, filled with lovely illustrations of soups and stews from all corners of Prythian.
Slowly, you let the magnifying glass read out the title a few times, your brain trying to make sense of the letters on the cover turning into the words you were hearing. It was embarrassing, how long it took you to be able to understand a sentence, even with it being read aloud to you. Heat rushed to your face, even with no one in the room to witness your shortcomings.
You tried reading a recipe, going one word at a time with the glass. That... Sort of worked, though it was slow going. And you felt like the only reason you were mildly successful was that the words were being read aloud to you.
How pathetic.
You sighed heavily before draining your last cup of tea and shutting the recipe book. That was enough of disappointing yourself for the night.
You stripped yourself of the dress you'd donned the morning, changing into a soft, long sleeved white cotton sleep dress that met the skin of your ankles, swishing softly against them with each step.
Sleep came easily to you that night, your body tired from doing so much work when it had grown accustomed to sleeping all day and rarely moving. It was a pleasant kind of tired, though, letting you drift into a peaceful sleep.
The next morning went much the same, with you rising before the sun to bathe and have a soothing pot of tea. Work flew by, with you completely focused on improving your knife skills for the seven hours you were there, determined to not let Sevenda down.
Before you knew it, you'd already worked three days in Sevenda's homey restaurant, settling in comfortably, even with the other fae you now worked with. Josi and Torma were the other two prep cooks, and both of them had been warm and welcoming to you. Sevenda's sous chef, Wren, had been a little less friendly, but you'd noticed that he was like that with everyone except Sevenda. He wasn't rude, or anything, just quieter.
It was on your fourth morning of work, a Saturday, that your routine was interrupted.
Azriel was in the kitchen, patiently watching a pot of oatmeal cook, shadows playing around his wings and over his shoulders, a couple of them breaking away to crawl up to his ears.
"Good morning," you said quietly, going to the cupboard that housed the kettle.
"Good morning, Y/N. You're up early," Azriel remarked in a neutral tone, neither judging nor questioning.
"Mm, thought I'd have a cup of tea before everyone else was buzzing around..." You said, feeling mildly guilty that you hadn't told him the full truth. You set to filling the water and setting it on the burner next to the one Azriel was using, then turned to grab your teapot. "Would you like a cup?" You asked before you could stop yourself and consider the possibility of being rejected, even for a simple cup of tea.
"I would very much, Y/N, thank you. Would you like some oatmeal? I'm afraid I've made too much..." Azriel said softly, a tiny frown on his face as he stared at the pot before him.
A small smile grew on your face at his reaction. "That would be nice, thank you." You pulled two of your teacups out of the cupboard. A few minutes later, the two of you were sat on stools at the kitchen island, a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of tea in front of each of you. The oatmeal was delicious, flavored with cinnamon and brown sugar, which paired well with the apple cinnamon tea you had brewed.
You ate in a comfortable silence, occasionally stifling a giggle when a shadow brushed over you, their cool touch tickling the back of your neck and your ankles. Curious little things...
Soon enough, though, it was time for you to depart from the River House, and return to the one place that you felt wanted in this city. Azriel had finished his breakfast as well, so you grabbed his dishes, ignoring his protests in favor of washing them.
"You don't have to do that, you know."
You rolled your eyes playfully, even though he couldn't see your expression. "I know that, I wanted to." Bowls, cups, silverware were all placed in the dish rack, clean and shiny from the water dripping off of them. Once that was finished, you returned to your room for a brief moment to grab your scarf and hat, and when you returned downstairs Azriel was lingering near the front door.
"Going somewhere?" Azriel asked neutrally, only a bit of curiosity in his tone.
You blinked at him once, twice. Strange, that it would be him who would know that you were employed first. "Yes, I'm going to work," you said plainly, hoping that his neutrality would continue. While you wanted your sisters to know... You wanted them to find out because they paid attention, not because Azriel had.
"Oh? Could I walk you there?" His question caught you off guard- if anything, you had anticipated him asking if Feyre or Rhys knew or had approved of the job. In your surprise, you nodded in agreement, and moments later the two of you were out the door, walking through the fresh layer of snow that had fallen overnight. You noticed a few of his shadows moving in front of you, pushing some of the snow from your path.
Cute.
"How long have you been working?" Azriel asked from your right, following the path you were taking.
"Just a few days, so far," you replied, trying to give the minimum information so you wouldn't bore him... Starting a new job was hardly an accomplishment for a fae of his age.
"Are you liking it?"
You nodded immediately. "I'm loving it already, working with food is probably the most natural choice I could have made." Too many words...
"That's wonderful, Y/N. It's nice to see you smile again," Azriel said softly, drawing your eyes to him. He was wearing a small smile on his lips, one that you realized matched your expression. A light flush spread over your cheeks- was your happiness always so obvious?
"It's nice to feel like smiling again..." You said quietly, more to the air around you than Azriel himself.
Sevenda's was in sight now, and you slowed your pace. While Azriel may just be being nice... He was still being nice to you. And having someone be kind to you was something you craved nearly every second of every day, so you wanted to savor it, even if it was selfish.
"Do..." Azriel paused, as if he was considering his words carefully. "Does Feyre know that you're working? She hasn't mentioned it."
"Uhm... No, I haven't told anyone yet," you admitted.
You saw Azriel nod his head in your peripheral, and you hoped it was one of understanding.
"Do you want them to know?"
You hesitated. "If you're asking if you can tell them... I'd rather you not."
Another nod as you approached the door to Sevenda's, stopping in front of it. "I won't tell them, then. Sevenda's, hmm?" You bobbed your head in confirmation. "That's good, she's a great boss from everything I've heard."
"She's amazing, if I can be honest," you said, gratitude in your voice. And she was. She had been so kind to you, and so helpful.
"I'm glad, Y/N," Azriel said, his voice the warmest that you had ever heard from him. "I'll let you get inside. Have a good shift."
"Thank you, Azriel. Have a good day," you said, waving goodbye to him before entering the warm restaurant, a smile on your face.
Your day passed quickly, filled with the delicious smell of spices and fresh cut vegetables, the sounds of sizzling meats and bubbling stews. This job at Sevenda's was truly a blessing, distracting both your mind and body as you listened to the friendly chatter between your coworkers and focused on what you were doing.
The River House sounded empty when you returned, completely devoid of sound. No running water, or voices in the living room. The entire night, you saw no one, not even Nuala or Cerridwen. You even spent a few minutes sipping tea in the living room - though you left quickly, feeling out of place even while alone - hoping to see Feyre for a moment. You hadn't seen her since Starfall, and... You wanted to see her. You also would have been able to ask her where Mor was, but alas, the question would have to wait.
The next evening, after your final day before having a day off, you saw Feyre for the first time in five days. She was glowing with happiness, both naturally and from the magic you knew she had gotten from... One of the High Lords - you still weren't sure which.
"Y/N! Come, sit with me for a little bit," Feyre said, dragging you onto the couch in the living room with her. You had just barely gotten your boots and scarf off before she met you in the entryway. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever."
"It has been a bit," you agreed, settling in beside her. You glanced around, noting that Nesta and Elain were seated next to each other on the love seat, angry stares trained on you.
At least they weren't glaring yet...?
"So, how have you been?" Feyre asked you, drawing your attention away from your other sisters and back to her.
"I've been fine, Fey. Just..." You debated telling her about your job. That would also mean Nesta and Elain knowing... But... You wanted Feyre to know. "I've been... I've been working."
Nesta scoffed from where she was seated, whispering something to Elain. You frowned. What problem could she possibly have with you having a job?
"Really?" Feyre asked skeptically. "You... Where are you working?"
Her tone, the sheer disbelief in her voice had you regretting ever opening your mouth. Being honest was obviously not a good choice for you anymore. "At Sevenda's restaurant..." You said quietly, met with a dainty snort from Elain. Heat rushed to your face, especially when Feyre frowned at you, as though she didn't believe you.
"Really? That's... That's really nice, Y/N. I'm happy for you," Feyre said with a strained smile. You didn't believe her for a second.
Still... "Thank you, Feyre. What about you? How have you been feeling?"
"Tired," Feyre moaned dramatically, a hand on her forehead. "The little one seems to be draining all of my energy, I've had to start eating double what I normally do just to feel like I can function."
"Maybe you can stop by Sevenda's when Y/N is working," Nesta suggested in a snarky tone, causing Elain to giggle into her hand. "If she even works there... What Sevenda would need with you, I have no idea."
Tears pricked at your eyes, though you fought them. Why were they so mean to you?
Feyre glared at Nesta, but said nothing in your defense.
She probably agreed with Nesta's words.
"I'm sorry that you're feeling so exhausted Feyre. Maybe there's something that could be taken off your plate for a little bit, until you're feeling better?" Another scoff from Nesta.
"I don't think there is, Y/N. It takes a lot to run a court..."
You knew that. Of course you knew that. "Oh... Well, I hope that you feel better soon, then. I'm... I'm going to go take a bath. I'll see you later?"
Feyre nodded. "I'll see you later. At dinner?"
There was no way in hell you would be showing at dinner tonight. "Maybe," you said, standing from your place next to her. You made your way out of the living room, ignoring Nesta and Elain's glares, up the stairs and into your room.
Happy. You had been happy when you returned home. You were proud of the fact that you had gotten a job. And yet the three people that should have cared, should have shared in your happiness and pride? They couldn't care less. They didn't even believe you.
That only served to solidify your choice to leave this cursed house as soon as you could, to continue in your plan to have your own living space. And, of course, it put tears on your cheeks, on the blanket that you curled into as you laid in the bathtub.
🤍🤍💖🤍🤍
In your first three weeks of work, you never saw Mor. You did, however, receive a letter from her on your first day off, read to you by the glass the twins had gifted you. She had apologized profusely for not showing up to Starfall, though she had a good reason. The citizens of the Hewn City had demanded to have a member of the High Lord's Inner Circle stay with them through the celebration, and as the only one already there, that duty had fallen to her. And in the week since, she had been constantly fighting with Keir over the upcoming election that was planned, hardly having a moment to herself.
Which was why the letter had taken so long to be written.
You felt horrible for having thought she had abandoned you, though you knew there was a reason you had jumped to such a conclusion.
Every week since then, Mor had managed to find the time to write you a letter, each one asking about how you had been, informing you of the lastest bullshit her father had put her through. You looked forward to each letter from her, but wished that you could see her in person, or at least write a letter in response. You missed your friend. According to her most recent letter, the one that had arrived two days ago, she would be returning to Velaris for a few days in the next week.
You were excited to see her again, but more than that, you were excited to move into your apartment today.
Sevenda had shown you to two different available apartments last week, and on Monday you had signed your lease. The building was only a couple of blocks away from Sevenda's, and it was a cute little place on the third floor, with a balcony that had a decent view of the mouth of the Sidra and the harbor. You already knew that you would be taking your tea on it once the weather had warmed, the view was too amazing to pass up an opportunity to look over.
The walls inside had already been done in a shade of light pink the day before, the cabinets of the kitchen coated in a pale lavender, a move in gift from your new landlord. It was a small space, that was true. Besides the bathroom and built in closet, the apartment was one large room, with no walls separating the living room from the kitchen, the kitchen from the bedroom.
But you didn't mind.
Because it was yours.
And truly, how much space did you need? There would be enough room to have a small dining table, a loveseat and a couple of armchairs in front of the fireplace - which you had been absolutely delighted to see - and a large bed. You could even put up screens or curtains to partition off your bedroom, if you felt like it.
The possibilities felt endless as you lugged your small amount of belongings over to your new place, bursting at the seams with happiness.
Today, Sevenda had given you the day off so that you could move in, though you had tried to insist that you wouldn't need the whole day. Still, she had made it clear that you deserved the day to settle in and purchase whatever you needed, even going as far to give you a week of advanced pay.
Moving your belongings took you less than an hour, even in the snow, and only three separate trips between the River House and your apartment. The presents you had recieved for your birthday and Solstice, the clothing that you couldn't part with, skincare items, and your hairpin all went with you, but everything else in your old room stayed.
You had decided against informing anyone of your move, choosing instead to quietly remove your things. If they truly cared about you, they would notice your absence soon.
If they didn't... You would deal with that if it came.
By midday, you were shopping in the Palace of Hoof and Leaf, on the hunt for cookware. You already had the wonderful measuring cups and spoons that Nuala and Cerridwen had gifted you, as well as your tea set from Azriel, but you would need a bit more than that to be able to cook at home.
That lead to you entering a lovely little shop, filled to the brim with pots, pans, and cooking utensils in every color of the rainbow.
For now, you only bought one frying pan and one pot with a lid, both in a shade of pink that matched your measuring cups. You also purchased a set of three mixing bowls in the same shade, made of a light but durable clay. A spatula, wooden spoon, whisk, and a set of silverware also came home with you, along with a few cleaning supplies that the store happened to carry, but anything else could wait for now.
You carried your bounty home, arms sagging under the weight of your purchases as you climbed the stairs to your apartment. Everything was put away in a matter of minutes, and you allowed yourself to relax on the floor for a bit, letting your arms flop out to the sides.
You could hardly believe it... A smile crept across your face as you lay on the floor of your own apartment, that you had earned the money for. You had done this for yourself, all on your own.
Once your arms felt less weak and tired, you sat up and looked around the room. It was... Fairly barren. Your pink bedding set and blanket from Mor were in the far right corner of the apartment, the box of your clothing placed next to it. Near the door to the bathroom you had placed your box of toiletries, and in the kitchen you had already stacked your cookbooks and teas on the counter and placed your dishes in the cupboards.
You needed some kind of furniture tonight, if you could manage to find something your weak arms could carry home.
And towels! How had your forgotten about towels? Oh- and food, you would need something at least for tonight.
You let out a breath. Maybe Sevenda was right, that you would need most of the day to get settled. You got up after another moment and put your boots back on, along with your hat and scarf.
A trip to the Palace of Thread and Jewels provided you with the towels you needed, in an assortment of pastel shades and sizes, as well as a fluffy purple bath mat. You even remembered to pick out two fluffy pillows as well, just in case you slept on the floor or in the tub tonight. As you were leaving the Palace, you couldn't help but pick out a soft, sky blue blanket one of the outdoor stalls, the green skinned fae bidding you farewell with a kind smile. You walked home, snow beginning to fall just before you entered the building.
You deposited your bags on the floor to the left of your front door, and set down the stairs immediately after locking up. Before the snow started to accumulate, you wanted to get a chair or something so that you would have a place to sleep for the night. If you couldn't find anything... Well, the bathtub looked to be the same size as the one in the River House.
When you had been out earlier, you thought you had spotted a second hand store, filled with mismatched furniture. You retraced your steps, and found it to be in the middle of the Palace of Thread and Jewels.
Inside, it was cluttered, with small paths leading through the building. It was near the back of the store that you found something you might like- a tall backed, wooden chair with a pink velvet cushion and backing, the legs of the chair curved and elegant.
Why would someone ever part ways with this?
You continued to the back of the store, finding a pale, short fae male sitting behind a counter, reading a book.
"Hi, I'd, uhm... I'd like to buy a chair that you have?" You asked shyly.
"Which one?" He asked, without looking up from his book.
"The uh. The wooden chair with pink velvet on it."
"Fifty gold marks," the male said shortly, a hand extending to take your bank card and press it to his ledger, all while continuing to read. He handed it back a moment later. "Have a good day, miss."
"Thank you," you said quietly before leaving the counter, going to collect the chair into your arms.
The walk home was slow going, the chair decidedly too big for you to comfortably carry for more than a few steps at a time. But still, you made it, dragging the piece of furniture up the stairs and through your door. You managed to lug it in front of the fireplace, settling into it for a moment.
You almost decided to skip getting ingredients for dinner... But your stomach rumbled in protest, at the thought of continuing to neglect your health in favor of avoiding discomfort. So instead, you pulled yourself from your new chair, then went back down the stairs and into the snowy city one last time today.
The Palace of Hoof and Leaf was a bit further than the Palace of Bone and Salt, but you knew where to find what you were planning to cook for dinner. It was easy enough to find rice, chicken, zucchini, broccoli, and a small set of spices, a large enough selection to satisfy you for at least your first month. Snow had begun to fall heavily while you had been in and out of shops, already covering the tracks that had been on the bridge when you had crossed it earlier, and when you finally made it up the stairs and through your front door, you were feeling tired.
Tired enough that for the moment, you placed the chicken in your cold box then walked over your chair, and plopped down.
You would consider today a success, even with how tired you now were. After all, you were tired in your chair, in your apartment.
🤍🤍💙🤍🤍
Two days after you moved, you had an unexpected knock on your door, just a few minutes after you returned home from work.
Perhaps it was finally Feyre, realizing that you had moved.
You were proven wrong when you opened the door, however, to see Azriel standing before you, a cloth bag filled to the brim with little jars.
"I- Hello," you said, surprised at him being here, even if he had taken to walking you to work on the mornings he was in town. "Can I- Can I help you?"
"I just returned from Illyria, only to find one of my shadows to be very frantic over the sudden emptiness of your room," Azriel said, though there was no accusation in his tone. "And after I spoke with Sevenda, she... She directed me here. I hope that's alright?"
You were even more surprised by the efforts he had gone to to find you, than his presence at this point. "That's fine, Azriel. Was there a reason you wanted to see me?"
"I... Yes," Azriel said, somewhat shyly, and you swore that you almost saw a flush covering his cheeks. "You never did tell me which teas you enjoyed, so I brought you a jar of each. I thought you might like to have a bit more, now that you're living on your own."
That was... Incredibly sweet of him to do. You were running low on your tea stash at the moment, and knowing that he'd thought of you...
Don't get any feelings, or hints of feelings, you reminded yourself. Humans and fae don't belong together, no matter how kind and attractive they are.
"Thank you, Azriel," you said, stepping aside to let him through the doorway. It was only polite, after all, to let him in. "I'll take those," you said as you grabbed the bag from his hand, moving into the kitchen to take arrange the little jars on your counter.
"You don't have a bed," Azriel observed from behind you, a hand on your chair, where your blankets were still piled.
"Oh, I'm uhm... I'm still working on that," you said sheepishly, abandoning your task of organizing the jars. Your eyes darted over everything, looking for anything else he could find issue with.
"Let's go solve that, then."
"I- What?" You asked, thoroughly confused. He was offering to go shopping with you...?
"We can go find you a bed today, Y/N. You need something to sleep on, and while a chair is fine for a little bit, it really would be best for you to have a bed," Azriel said simply. You were still staring at him in shock, so he sighed lightly and said, "Think of it as a housewarming gift, Y/N. You can pick out whatever you want, and my shadows will bring it here for you."
"I- But... Why?" You managed to get out, even as you mentally kicked yourself for being so awkward.
Azriel's mouth turned up in the corners at your reaction. "You need a bed, and I'd like to know that you're sleeping comfortably."
"But... Why?" You repeated, still confused.
Azriel sighed and shook his head. "You're my friend, Y/N, I like to know that my friends are well taken care of. And that starts with a good night's sleep, which starts with a bed," he explained as he walked over to your closet, pulling out the scarf and hat that he had gifted you. He wrapped the scarf around your neck and put the hat on your head, lips turning up more as you stood there and let him. "Now get your boots on, unless you really don't want to go."
Your eyes narrowed playfully at him, but you did as he said, slipping your boots on and lacing them up. "Alright... Thank you, Azriel."
His lips turned up into a full smile this time, a beautiful sight on his face. "You're welcome, Y/N. Now, let's get going before it gets too dark."
You let him lead you across the Sidra, to a shop in the Palace of Flame and Steel that specialized in wooden furniture.
"Pick out whichever one you like most," Azriel had told you, with a pointed look telling you that he would know if you tried to pick the least expensive option.
He watched as you went from bed to bed, mattress to mattress trying to find the right combination. You had been in the store for nearly an hour by the time you made your choice, settling on a walnut frame. It had a nice headboard, with little creatures carved into the posts on both sides, a feature that was continued at the corners of the end of the bed. Some of them looked like little cats, a pet that you had always wanted to have but never could afford in the human lands, and when you had been able to, your family had firmly shut the idea down.
For the mattress, you had laid on one that felt like a cloud, supporting your body in a way that you had never experienced. Perhaps... Perhaps Azriel was right, after all.
You felt dreadful, though, as he paid for your new furniture, even as he reassured you that it was a housewarming present and he was more than fine paying double the amount if he had needed to.
He walked you back to your apartment, and, as promised, your new bed was already set up along the back wall, looking extremely inviting even without bedding on it.
"You should let me repay you," you insisted to Azriel, a hand on his forearm stopping him from leaving. "I can't... This is too much," you said.
Azriel's eyes shined with understanding as he read the guilt in your own. "It's okay, you know. To be given things, without the need to reciprocate. But... If you still feel that you need to repay me, I suppose you could make me dinner some time," Azriel suggested.
You narrowed your eyes at him. "Are you sure I can't pay you back?"
He shook his head. "The only payment I will accept is in the form of food, Y/N. Again, this is a housewarming present, it is a gift that I am giving to you of my own free will. I am, however, partial to your cooking, which is why I would accept that as payment."
You sighed, but nodded your head. You would pay him back with food, as often as he liked. "What days are you in the city?"
🤍🤍❣️🤍🤍
It took two more days before Mor was in town, which you found out about two hours into your shift when she burst into Sevenda's, speaking loudly enough that you could hear her in the kitchen.
A moment later Sevenda appeared, your blonde friend in tow.
"Y/N!" Mor exclaimed, pulling you into a hug once you had set down your knife. "Oh, girl, I have missed you so much!"
You squeezed her back tightly, overjoyed to see her again. "I've missed you too, Mor!"
Mor pulled away a moment later, her face serious. "Where are all of your things? I went up to your room in the River House to see you, and none of your stuff is there! Feyre had no idea either..."
A flush spread over your cheeks. "Oh, uhm... I moved out?" You said hesitantly.
Mor blinked at you a few times before a smile slid over her face. "You... Moved out?" She giggled. "And you didn't tell anyone? Was it this morning?"
You shook your head. "No, it was on Wednesday," you admitted softly, turning your gaze to the floor.
"And Feyre didn't... Oh, sweets," Mor cooed, pulling you into another hug and stroking your hair. You pushed her away after a moment, face bright red at being comforted in front of your coworkers.
"It's okay, Mor, really. I've already accepted that they don't notice me," you said, hoping that you had successfully hidden your pain. You may have accepted that your sisters pay you no attention, but it didn't mean your heart didn't hurt.
Mor frowned at you, but accepted your answer for the time being. "Well, when are you off work? I can stop by again, and you can show me your apartment!"
"I'm normally off right around five, you could come back then."
"Sounds like a plan, sweets!" Mor said brightly before leaving the kitchen, waving at you before being shooed out by Sevenda.
You quickly got back to work, determined to make the day pass by quickly.
And it did. The next five hours went by fast, filling you with a feeling of accomplishment as you finished everything Sevenda had asked you to do a few minutes faster than usual. Something as simple as that made your day so much brighter, easier to fight away the feeling of loneliness that followed you most hours of the day.
Mor met you outside as she'd said she would, a shining ray of sunlight even as the sun had begun to set.
"So- I leave town for a few weeks, not that I wanted to," Mor grumbled as you linked arms with her and began to lead her to your apartment. "And when I come back, you've already had a job for three weeks and you've moved into your own apartment? I am so proud of you Y/N."
You blushed at her words, but still allowed yourself to soak them in. "Thank you, Mor. I'm glad that you're okay with it."
Mor frowned. "Why wouldn't I be okay with it? I think it's amazing that you decided to move out, everyone deserves their independence."
You nodded, but your thoughts were on your sisters... What they surely thought of you, leaving without a word... "It's just... I don't know. My sisters... Weren't very supportive of me even having a job, let alone having my own apartment."
"Oh, hon, don't worry about them. I think they're just jealous of you having your own life outside of our little circle. Now, Nesta and Elain... They could certainly use a talking to," Mor hissed. "And Feyre isn't much better, letting them get away with their behavior."
You shook your head. What would they have to be jealous of? Being lonely? Having at most three friends, if you were being generous with the term? "It's fine, Mor, really. I've stopped expecting them to act any certain way, it's just... Easier."
Mor sighed next to you. "I suppose so... Anyways, tell me what's been going on!" Mor said cheerily, sensing your hesitancy to speak about your sisters.
"Well... Not much, beyond the moving out and getting a job. Although..." You thought about Azriel, how you now considered him a friend- and he thought the same of you. "Azriel has been very nice, he brought me some tea blends when he found out I moved. And helped me find a bed."
"Oh, I'm sure he did," Mor said suggestively, wiggling her eyebrows at you. You smacked her arm lightly and shot her as much of a glare as you could muster.
"Not like that Mor!" You exclaimed, blood rushing to your cheeks at her insinuation. "He helped me go to a store and his shadows brought it back to my apartment."
"Oooh," Mor laughed. "Okay, I misunderstood, Y/N. I'm glad that he's been a good friend to you while I've been away."
"I am too, Mor," you said softly, a hint of a smile on your lips.
You unlocked the front door of your building, letting Mor pass through the doorway before you, then led her up the stairs.
"Three flights? I must be spoiled, only having a flight to go up one at my place," Mor said by the time you reached the top, your fingers fumbling for the correct key.
"It's not all that bad, Mor," you giggled as you swung the door open, letting her go in first, and closing the door softly behind you.
"Oh, Y/N! This apartment is so you!" Mor said brightly as she looked around. "The bed looks amazing." She flopped down on it, sighing happily after she did. "You chose good, sweets."
"Thank you," you giggled, plopping down next to her. "I'm so glad the owner was willing to paint, it saved me from trying to do it myself."
"And it looks lovely too, and as I said, very you. So," Mor started, a hand flung onto your thigh. "I thought, if you have a day off while I'm in town, we could do a sleepover again! Either here or at my apartment, whichever you'd prefer."
"That sounds lovely Mor. If you're still here tomorrow, and you don't have plans tonight, I have tomorrow off," you offered.
"That's perfect! I'll go get a change of clothes and pick up some food on my way back, if that works for you, Y/N."
You nodded. "That sounds like a plan to me, Mor. I'll see you in a little bit?" The two of you stood from your bed, Mor's hair the tiniest bit rumpled from being squished against your mattress.
"Yep! Any preferences on food?"
You shook your head. "Anything is fine by me Mor, get whatever you've been missing while in the Hewn City."
Mor's face scrunched up at the mention of the Hewn City. "Don't remind me," she groaned. "I think I'll get some kind of pasta. Pasta sounds perfect for a sleepover."
"That sounds good to me. Walk safely, Mor, it's been slick out at this time recently," you warned, smiling when Mor winked at you playfully.
"I'm always careful, sweets. See you in a bit!"
You shut the door behind her, a smile on your face. You hadn't realized just how much you had missed your friend until you saw her again.
Not wanting to waste your alone time, though, you pulled yourself into the bath, determined to finish before Mor returned. While you didn't feel disgusting, you felt a bit dirty from work still, and if you're spending the night with Mor you'd like to smell decent.
Still, you let yourself relax in the steaming water for a few minutes, bubbles coating the water's surface. Your lungs expanded and collapsed rhythmically, lulling your heart into a state of peace.
Maybe... Maybe you could belong in Velaris.
Maybe it was your sisters that you didn't belong with, any more.
But with Mor? With Azriel? At work? You felt like you had begun to carve out a tiny little place for you to exist peacefully, if not happily.
A deep sigh left you.
You wished... You wished you could belong with your sisters once more. Your heart longed to see them, to share your joy with them. But... They never seemed to share in it with you.
So, you would settle for carving out a space for yourself.
No, it's not settling, you told yourself as you began to scrub at your body with a cloth. It's choosing to live, not to merely exist.
You may not know what you want out of life, but you're willing to find out now.
You willing to try your hand at living once more.

maybe you want her, maybe you need her - n.s.
Tumblr media
4 times Noah slept with you and 1 time he realized he was falling in love.
Warnings: the expression "slept with" is used loosely in this fic, talks of past experiences, Noah is a little nervous at first, smut (unprotected p in v, oral male receiving, fingering, mutual masturbation) a little bit of dirty talk and realization of feelings.

1:
The first Noah slept with you was experimental.
You had just agreed on a friends with benefits relationship a few days ago. He was having a conversation with you on his couch, the guys out there on the back patio grilling some burgers and drinking some beer.
Somehow, the conversation took a turn into the topic of relationships, and Noah expressed to you how he only seemed to find girls looking for a serious relationship. He was young and with a whole career ahead of him, not wanting to settle down with only one person yet.
And you expressed how you only seemed to find uninteresting and rude guys. How you never felt comfortable bringing these people into your home, or even going to their house. And that you weren't looking for a comitted relationship either, and these men only seemed to want a woman to be their housewife.
Then, Noah went into a interesting topic. Casual sex.
He mentioned that he never trusted people enough to have just nice, casual sex with them. He always had this doubt lurking in his head that in the next morning, a picture of him in a compromising position was going to surface on the internet.
You giggled a little at this idea, but completely understood his worries.
You, on the other hand, mentioned how difficult it was to find a guy who was even half decent in bed. Most of them only caring about their pleasure, and just left you unsatisfied while they put on their clothes and left, promising to call to arrange another date.
You blocked their numbers as soon as they left.
As the conversation progressed, you could sense that the same idea was lurking in your and his mind. The more you spoke, the more it sounded like you were the perfect person for each other.
It didn't hurt that Noah was probably the most attractive man you knew. And he's caught himself having dirty thoughts about you more than once.
So, you left his house that day with an arrangement. When you needed someone to satisfy your needs, you would give each other a call.
Turns out, it wasn't exactly a call, but a spur of the moment thing.
Jolly had called you over to help him out with something on his guitar. You knew they were starting to brainstorm ideas for a new album, and being a guitar enthusiast yourself, you participated from time to time.
You ended up staying for the whole afternoon, laughing and playing some tunes, trying to create something that would even resemble a song.
By the time the clock approached 6 PM, everyone was starting to leave. You put your things together, but hanged by the kitchen to get yourself a glass of water. You could hear Noah in the living room bidding everyone goodbye.
Noah entered the kitchen and saw you leaning against the counter, bringing the glass of water to your lips.
"Hmm", se hesitated a little bit, not really sure how to do this. He didn't want to be too straightforward and say things like "Hey, wanna fuck?", but he also couldn't lie and say he hasn't been thinking about you ever since that day. "I was thinking if maybe you'd wanna go up to my room?", he asked instead.
You thought it was adorable how nervous he was about this. A little smiled graced your lips.
"Yeah, sure", you agreed, setting the empty cup down. "Lead the way"
You followed after him as he opened the door to his room. You noticed the place was clean and tidy, and you remembered him saying he was a bit of a clean freak. You stood there, in the middle of his room and watched as he closed the door behind him and turned to face you.
The atmosphere turned a little awkward, and you wanted to laugh at the absurdity of it. In the years you've known him, things have never felt like this. But the knowledge that you were here so you both could have sex undoubtedly shifted things.
"You can kiss me, you know?", you broke the silence, tilting your head to the side, appraising his reaction. He took a couple of steps closer.
"I'm sorry, I don't know why I'm nervous", he laughed a little and you smiled with him.
'It's ok", you reassured.
He looked at you with the eyes that always held your complete attention anytime they were on you, and you felt his hand take yours, prompting you to get closer to him, until you were standing toe to toe. Slowly, his other hand went up your arm, slightly brushing over your shoulder and finally rested on the back of your neck.
He was soft as he brought his lips forward to rest on top of yours, the kiss tentative at first, but as soon as you gripped the sides of his shirt, it became more urgent.
You took a few steps back and he went with you, lips never separating, until you fell backwards on the bed, and he climbed on top of you.
That night, you found out that Noah was the most attentive partner you've ever been with. He took his time getting to know your body and the things you liked, and he never seemed to be in a hurry to finish soon.
You found yourself blushing everytime you let out a particularly loud moan and he asked "Feels good, angel?", and you couldn't find the words to answer that yes, it does feel really good.
Noah, on the other hand, was trying to cope with the feeling of your fingers tangled in his hair, and the weight of your body on top of his as you rode him until the two of you reached your highs. He observed as you threw your head back, and he wanted to litter your neck and chest with hickeys, but thought that he might take it too far if he did as he wanted.
He got himself dressed along with you and followed you down the stairs, watching you gather your things to leave. He opened the door for you and bid you goodbye and observed as you got in your car to leave.
He stood there for a few seconds after you had already left, thinking about how much he wanted to call you tomorrow and do this all over again.
2:
The second time Noah slept with you was the first time you had his dick down your throat.
It was in a random bathroom, in a party he didn't care about, in a house he didn't even know who it belonged to. But his friends invited him, and he decided to go.
Right now, as he felt your soft and velvety mouth wrapped around his shaft, he was sure it was the best decision he's ever made in his entire life.
"Fuck, that feels so fucking good", he groaned, throwing his head back and hitting it against the wall with a light thud. One of his hands was resting on the back of your head, but not really pushing, leaving it up to you how much of him you wanted to take.
Taking him out of your mouth, he watched as a string of saliva connected his tip to your plush lips, and he almost let himself go right then and there.
He arched his hips forward at the feeling of your delicate hand stroking him up and down.
"Wanna cum in my mouth?", you asked, with an absolute sinful look on your face, as you looked up at him from your position kneeling on the floor. He wanted to take a mental picture of how you looked in this moment.
"Yeah, baby. You gonna swallow everything?", he took advantage of your half open mouth and slipped a digit inside, your warm mouth wrapping around it and sucking his thumb as you hummed in response to his question.
Your hand worked along with your mouth to bring him to the edge, and he could feel himself falling faster and faster as the seconds ticked by.
It was when you took him slightly deeper and he felt his tip hitting the back of your throat that he knew he would cum very soon.
"Keep going, I'm gonna cum", his voice was tight and you looked up to see the veins on his neck straining, a pretty blush covering his chest and neck. Your hands ran up his abdomen, nails scrathing his skin and you felt his muscles go taut underneath your palms. Seconds later he spilled himself down your throat in warm and quick spurts.
"Fucking look at you", he grabbed you by the chin. "Such a good girl, taking all of my cum", he spread a little drop you let escape all over your lips.
You smiled at him. He was absolutely fucked.
3:
The next time Noah slept with you, things got a little dirty.
He had you on his lap, on his couch, two knuckles deep inside your pussy, as you shook on top of him.
"I fucking love your fingers inside of me", you told him, eyes closed and hips shifting a little to get him to go faster.
"That right, baby?", he answered, lips finding your neck and sucking little kisses, feeling the faint taste of your sweat that lingered on your heated skin. "Just getting this pretty cunt ready for my cock", he said, picking up the pace of his fingers, the squelching sound of your wetness making his dick strain against the confines of his sweatpants.
You noticed the lustful look on his face, and your hands moved on their on accord, as you slipped your fingers under the waistband of his sweats, pulling them down enough to take his dick out, and start stroking him up and down. He would tell you to be patient and wait, but he couldn't deny a handjob from you even if he wanted to.
"Fuuuck", he let out a low growl at the feeling. "That's not fucking fair, baby"
"Why not?", you had a fake innocent look on your face, but you knew exactly what you were doing.
"Wanted you to make a mess on my fingers before slipping inside you", he tried to be as clear as possible, but your hands were making it difficult for him to concentrate.
"Yeah?", you leaned closer to him, lips ghosting over his ear. "How about I cum on your fingers and then all over your cock?", you said, and looked to the side to get his reaction.
"Fuck, you're such a dirty girl", he smiled and captured your lips on his.
After a few more pumps of his long fingers, you could feel the knot in your stomach wanting to unravel. Noah could tell, since your walls started to clench around him. The feeling of your warmth and wetness engulfing his fingers were enough to make him spill his release all over his stomach, covering your hand in his cum.
You weren't far behind him, the warm and fuzzy feeling spreading all over your insides, as you shook above him, ultimately gushing all over his fingers and legs. His fingers kept their rhythm until you were too sensitive to take it anymore.
Your head rested over his chest, not caring about the sticky mess between you.
"Fuck, I didn't know you could do that", he observed, admiration all over his voice.
"I didn't know I could do that either", you answered, honestly.
You couldn't see it, but he had a stupid grin on his face. He was the first guy to make you squirt.
4:
The next time Noah slept with you, it was on your bed.
"How do you want it, baby?", he asked you, not giving you much time to recover after he just made you cum on his mouth.
You didn't utter a word, instead, you got on your hands and knees in front of him, lifting your ass up in the air.
Usually, Noah liked to look at your face when he fucked you, but the thought of having you from behind made his head dizzy. Taking your plush ass in his hands, he kneaded the flesh before delivering a harsh slap to your ass cheek, making you jump slightly and whimper in the mattress below you.
"Gonna slip it in, ok?", he muttered above you, leaning down a little so you could hear his words clearly. He always got your reassurance before he started to fuck you, and that turned you on even more.
The feeling of his dick slipping inside of you little by little always made your eyes roll to the back of your head, and mouth hang open in pleasure. There was nothing like that first push.
Once he was shethed inside of you, you wiggled your ass a little just to tease him a little bit. And it worked, as it always does.
"Don't fucking do that", he hissed through his teeth, gripping your flesh harder. You tried to hide your smile from him, but failed.
Every time Noah slipped inside of you, he had to steel himself as to not cum within the first two pumps. He didn't know how it happened, but you had him in a chokehold, and no sex has ever felt like this.
He closed his eyes and looked up, trying to concentrate as he started to move back and forth. Soon, your moans filled the room, and your hands gripped the sheets crumpled beneath you.
Noah grabbed one of your hands and brought them to rest on your back, slipping his fingers in yours and intertwining them. But, soon, the contact wasn't enough for him anymore. His skin felt cold and he needed to feel the blazing heat of you on him.
"C'mere", he muttered, leaning down and hooking his arm on your neck and pulled you up on a kneeling position on the bed, back resting against his chest.
His hand roamed up and took a handful of your breast. You could feel his hot breath on your neck, and the feeling of him slipping in and out multiplied by tenfold.
The feeling of your quickened pulse under his palm, as Noah placed his hand over your neck, made all the filter between his brain and mouth disappear.
"No one feels as good as you do, baby", he whispered in your ear. "Love having you all pliant and fucked out like this"
You whimpered his name, because you too, loved having him pounding you into oblivion.
Your hands reached back to grasp his hair, tugging like your life depended on it. "Make me cum", you told him, looking back to lock your eyes with his.
"You wanna cum?", he asked, a hint of teasing in his voice. "Then tell me who this pussy belongs to, baby", he inquired and gripped your neck harder.
"It belongs to you", you whispered, with no hesitation.
"Say my name", he inquired again.
Your head was spinning, and you were going to cum from his words alone.
"It belongs to you, Noah", you said, and his hands detached from your neck, and started to rub circles on your clit.
Your breath hitched and your eyes closed shut as you came with a cry of his name, shaking and relying on him keep you up, because your body felt like mush all of a sudden.
+1:
Noah replayed the last time in his head over and over again. He felt like he said too much, but then he remembered you never commented on it, and he didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing.
Since then, he's been hesitant to call you, to invite you over or ask if the could come over to your place. And he could tell you noticed it.
His texts have been shorter and fewer than usual, and you had to double text him sometimes to get a response from him. He felt bad, but he didn't know how to approach the feelings blooming in his chest. And he also didn't want to lose what you had.
The thing is, he started to feel like what you had wasn't enough anymore.
By the end of the first week of him being weird with you, you decided to show up at his house to talk to him. You knew Noah, and you knew that if you never approached the subject, he was never gonna talk about it.
Besides, you felt silly for saying what you said the last time you were together. It was clearly only some dirty talk to get you going, but the words falling from his lips felt so true at the time, that you couldn't help but agree with them.
And at the end of the day, they were true. Because you haven't thought about fucking someone else ever since you started this agreement. You didn't even want to.
You pondered over what you were going to say to him as you knocked on his door. You knew he was home, because his car was in the driveway.
He opened the door and greeted you with a hesitant 'hello".
"I think we need to talk", you told him, cutting right to the chase.
Noah felt like a million needles were piercing his heart. He had fucked up. He had fucked up and now you were standing on his doorstep, ready to end it all.
He nooded and stepped aside to let you in. You didn't sit on the couch, you were too anxious to even try and stay still.
You waited until he was right in front of you to start talking.
"Do you wanna end this?", you blurted out, watching as his eyes widened a bit at your inquiry. "Because if you want to, it's totally ok. I just don't want us to get weird with each other, you know? We can still be friends even if you don't want to...", he had to stop your word vomit.
"I don't wanna end this", he stated, quieting the flurry of words coming from your mouth.
"Then why have you been so distant?", you wondered. And watched him go silent for a moment. "Is it something I did? Is it what I said last time?"
"Fuck, no", he turned to look at you. "You did nothing wrong. It was me who shouldn't have said anything to begin with"
"So, you didn't mean it?", you asked, voice quiet this time, as if afraid of his answer. "You didn't mean it when you asked me if I belonged to you?"
"I didn't mean to put you in a uncomfortable situation"
"I meant it", you voiced. "I meant it when I said I belonged to you"
You watched as his expression changed to one of slight shock, and silence fell over the two of you like a weighted blanked.
"Noah, say something, please?", you inquired.
A little laugh fell from his lips, head shaking in incredulity.
"I thought I had fucked up, you know?", he looked at you. "I thought you'd definetely get scared and run away. And here you are, telling me you meant when you said you belonged to me"
"I haven't thought about anyone else ever since we started this", you confessed, and he took a few steps closer to you, taking your face in his hands.
"You've been plaguing my thoughts ever since that first time in my bedroom, baby", he stroked you cheeks lightly with his thumb. "I don't think I want to be with anyone else, and that scared the shit out of me"
"That's good. Because I don't want to be with anyone else either", you mumbled into his lips, smiling and feeling him smiled aling with you.
Maybe you failed at this friends with benefits thing, and maybe you'd have to figure out where to go from here. But the thought of having each other as you navigated this road of newfound feelings, made you feel like you could have everything with him if you wanted.
And Noah was sure he would give you everything if you asked him to.

〔ㅤㅤㅤKang Dae-ho X Reader ㅤㅤㅤ〕
Tumblr media
Kang Dae-ho is seen as a bright person, the other players immediately warmed up to him because of his approachable and happy nature. A proud ex-marine who boasts his bravery to those who dare disrespect him. You, of course, developed an admiration towards the bubbly man, even when his corny jokes make you laugh, finding them funny to be completely honest.
As the game went by and people were shrinking to a number, you couldn't help but notice the way Dae-ho was.. scared. You observed that he was hiding his fear very well but you noticed the way he would flinch at the gunshots, the way he looks at the dead body with fear, and his dazed expression after the pink soldiers carry the dead body or after the gunshots.
Seong Gi-hun and the others decided to stop the game once and for all as they planned to raid the control room and let everyone be free in this hellhole. Gunshots, screams, and thuds can be heard from above as some of us players can only sit and imagine what was happening from above. Suddenly, Dae-ho came back, almost out of breath, trembling with fear, and he seemed to be muttering something about bullets as he tried to pull out the magazines from the dead pink guards on the floor.
Everyone glanced at him, wondering why he was in such a hurry to grab the ammo from the pink guards. Park Yong-sik/player 007 slowly approached him as he also wonders what was happening.
"Dae-ho, what's going on? Why are you here on your own?" Yong-sik asked as he worriedly glanced and slowly approached Dae-ho, who was trembling from head to toe.
"Our magazines ran out, it's in their pockets. I need you to help me, okay? Quickly!" Dae-ho said as he stammered his way of speaking and almost out of breath, it was obvious how scared he is based on his tone.
Once you heard that he needed help gathering the ammo from the pink guards, you immediately started looking for it and so did Yong-sik who was obviously scared of the fact that he didn't know what was happening above and can only do what Dae-ho requested to help the others.
A few minutes have gone by, we gathered every ammo we can find to Dae-ho, you glanced at Yong-sik and his mother as they nodded to each other for support.
"That's it. We searched for everyone." Yong-sik confirmed to Dae-ho as he also contributed what he found as he nodded to us, perhaps a way for him of showing gratitude, picking it up with the jacket full of magazines he immediately wrapped it around and placed it on his chest tightly and securely as he made his way out in the room.
Once Dae-ho got out of the room, you secretly followed him even when Yong-sik's mother tried to stop you from going but abruptly stopped walking as we all heard the gunshots again as you quickly checked for Dae-ho. There he was, paralyzed in fear as he heard the gunshots, flinching and seemingly backing up from fear.
"Dae-ho!" You called out his name but it seems like he was in deep thought to notice my voice.
You slowly approach him and it was clear as the daylight that his breathing was uneven, his body trembling and his face shown in a daze... He's having a panic attack.
"Dae-ho—" you couldn't even finish the sentence as he immediately ran away inside as you followed him, Yong-sik and his mother, even the other players in the room glanced at him as he made his way on one of the bed as he dropped the magazines beside him.
You caught up to Dae-ho only to see him trembling in fear as he positioned himself like a ball, hands on his ears, whimpering and seemingly crying.
You and Jang Geum-ja/player 149 glanced at each other, understanding the situation he is in right now.
You carefully try to approach Dae-ho without scaring him and call out his name softly but no budge at all, his hands covered his ears. Suddenly, Cho Hyun-ju/player 120 came running inside looking around and yelling his name for Dae-ho if he is here.
"Dae-ho! Dae-ho! Dae-ho, where are you? Has anyone seen Dae..." Hyun-ju slowly lowered her voice as she gets the signal when Yong-sik pointed where Dae-ho is hiding.
You moved away for Hyun-ju to see Dae-ho, Hyun-ju called out his name and wondered what was going on, Dae-ho looked up and flinched back to see Hyun-ju.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Dae-ho apologized knowing he backed down even when his comrades was fighting for their life. Hyun-ju leaned in as she asked where's the magazines but Dae-ho felt like he was useless and kept muttering apologies as he pointed where the magazines are.
The pink guards suddenly came to a view inside the room with their guns on hand as Hyun-ju was getting ready to load her gun to fight off the guards. You turned your gaze to Dae-ho who was still shaking like a leaf and his lips quivering, his hands still covering his ears, it was a pitiful sight honestly. A person who's full of life and shines like the sun, pressured and have to witness such brutality and trauma.
You lean yourself to Dae-ho for him to see you but he flinched back and looked away, perhaps because of guilt? Shame? Who knows perhaps both, perhaps for other reasons.
"Dae-ho.." you pat his shoulder lightly but it seems it didn't work on him so you try it again but nothing. He was still deep inside his memories, a PTSD episode...
You took a deep breath as you looked at Dae-ho with soft and easy eyes, you called out his name much more clear for him to clear as his trembling form and widened eyes finally gazes up to yours.
"Hey.. I'm here..." You told him, rubbing circles on his knee to calm him down.
"I-I don't want to be here anymore... I wanna go home..." He sobs and whimpers louder, like a child looking for his mother or maybe his father, perhaps one of his 4 sisters? Or all of them? Who knows and all you can do is to calm him down and bring back to his senses.
"Hey, hey.. we're going home, just a bit more longer and we'll all get out of here... I promise you that.." and you were sure as hell you'll be keeping that promise, not to him but also to yourself. You had enough of this madness and chaos, Dae-ho calmed down slightly as he grabbed your hand tightly that made you surprised.
"Please stay... I can't take this anymore, I wanna go home, home with sisters.. I don't wanna die here..." He lets out a loud sob as I immediately calmed him down and not wanting to attract the pink guards some suspicions in this area.
" I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, we'll get out of here soon, m'kay? Just a bit longer and I want you to be strong, strong for yourself, for us... for me.." I looked at him straight in the eyes to see if he understands, to see if I can trust him enough to be strong for himself.
He hesitantly nodded as his breathing calmed down and no longer ragged, you looked around and to see Yong-sik and his mother at each other's arms to hold, Hyun-ju still on guard with her gun, and everyone else in this room is terrified, horrified of what will happen next.. and so were you.
Unbeknownst, you and Dae-ho were still holding hands, too tightly, to feel each other's warmth, security, and.. to know that you both are still alive.
You hope that you're newfound friends, who you now consider a family, get out of this hellhole alive and in one piece. Eat samgyeopsal together, pay off all your debts, cheers to the victory you all achieved, and perhaps.. find love along the way. Who knows, maybe it's already the one who you felt your hands with but unfortunately grasped away from the touch of your hands as he fell asleep from exhaustion.
A/N: Hello everyone! I am very sorry for not updating for months! Writer's block got the best of me and the Christmas season happened, same goes to new year's, also, Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all enjoy the story!

I stare for a minute. There are...a lot of people standing around my front door.
I shake myself out of my surprise. "Can I...help you? Your Highness," I add hastily, sweeping into a deep curtsy.
The prince takes a small step forward. "We are looking for a Miss Anastasia Ryntz? We were told this is the correct residence."
My brow furrows in confusion. I feel like I'm missing something. I fidget with my threadbare apron as I slip between the guards and start fumbling with my keys to unlock the door.
"Yes, it is," I say slowly, ushering the crowd inside. "I'm Anastasia. I'm sorry, not to be rude, but why are you here?"
The prince looks around, distinctly uncomfortable in my very small house. With all the guards and his advisors, the room is very crowded. I wince as one of the guards tries to turn around and knocks a vase off my lone table.
The prince sighs and rubs the space between his eyes. "Really, Cass? That's it, everyone out." Balancing the cake in one hand, he uses the other to shoo at everyone. They look at each other uncertainly.
"I'm serious!" he yells. "The only people who are staying in this house are the lady, myself, and Grimms." He gestures at his closest advisor.
Slowly, my house empties, and I awkwardly offer the prince the one chair I own. "Would you...like to sit?"
He accepts gratefully, his advisor standing behind me, me across the table. The silence stretches for a few minutes before he jumps a bit in his seat. "Oh! I- We brought you a birthday cake!" He shoves it across the table eagerly.
I stare at it, then at him, confused. "Why?"
The prince frowns. "Well...it's your birthday, isn't it?"
I nod slowly. "22nd birthday. Why do you know that? And why do you know my name?"
The prince fumbles with his words for several seconds before his advisor - Grimms - sighs and speaks up. "Prince Auron is here to speak with you about something of the upmost importance. Are you the only person in residence? This is a private matter."
"Yes, it's just me." Dang it, I know my voice sounded sad there. I don't want them to think I'm a loser! "I live alone. By myself." Yeah, that was so much better. Whatever. "Anyway, what's up?" Facepalm.
Prince Auron clears his throat awkwardly. "You, of course, are aware that I am the youngest of the royal family. As such, on my birthday this year, when I came of age, I was given a prophecy about my future in the kingdom."
I nod. This isn't news to me. The prince's oldest sister will inherit the throne and his older brother will lead the armies and advise the crown. The third child is always a bit of a wild card.
"Does your prophecy have something to do with my business?" I ask. "I'm not sure how much help I'll be." I snort with derision. "You can see how I live."
Prince Auron fidgets. "Ah. Yes. Well, not really."
I wait, then when he doesn't elaborate, I sigh. "Your Highness, I would love to help you, but I can't do that unless you actually tell me what you need."
He blurts out. "I need you to marry me. Please."
I blink. "I'm sorry. What?"
You are a poor girl selling flowers. Today is your birthday but no one knows. When you return home you find the prince of the kingdom waiting for you with a birthday cake. "Are you sure this is the one?" He whispers to his advisor.

Detective Hwang Jun-ho wasn’t accustomed to working with a partner. He preferred his solitude, his thoughts unhindered by anyone else’s opinions. But this case—the mysterious disappearance of his brother, Hwang In-ho—was different. The connections to the games and the elite network behind them were too vast for him to tackle alone, and so you were brought in.
At first, you were an unlikely pair. He was quiet, brooding, and single-minded, while you were sharp-tongued, witty, and unafraid to challenge him. “Are you sure you can handle this?” he had asked during your first briefing, his tone laced with skepticism.
“Only if you can keep up,” you’d fired back, earning a rare flicker of amusement in his otherwise stoic expression.
The case demanded long hours and relentless digging. Together, you traced clues that led to the games: missing persons reports, offshore accounts, and whispers of a sinister organization operating in the shadows. Late nights in the precinct turned into early mornings poring over files in his cramped apartment.
It was during these quiet hours that something began to shift.
One evening, you caught him staring at a faded photograph of his brother. The raw pain in his eyes made you pause. Gently, you placed a hand on his shoulder. “We’ll find him,” you said softly.
He didn’t reply, but the way he glanced at you—a flicker of gratitude breaking through his hardened exterior—said enough.
Then the time came when you both decided to infiltrate the games, a risk so great that it could cost you your lives. The plan was simple on paper: disguise yourselves as staff and gather evidence from the inside. The reality, however, was far more harrowing.
The days in the compound were suffocating. The guards’ watchful eyes, the screams of the players, and the twisted nature of the games weighed heavily on both of you. Despite the danger, you found solace in each other.
You would whisper late at night in the staff quarters, sharing quiet moments of reprieve. When the tension became too much, he would find your hand behind the closed doors, his fingers brushing yours in fleeting touches that spoke volumes.
It was during one of these moments that he finally opened up about his brother. “In-ho was always the smarter one,” he admitted, his voice barely audible. “I never thought he could be part of something like this.”
“You’re not alone in this, Jun-ho,” you said, meeting his gaze. “We’ll figure it out together.”
And for the first time in years, he didn’t feel alone.
The truth unraveled during a high-stakes chase. A lead had pointed you to an underground control room, where you found surveillance footage linking the games to the masked figure known as the Front Man. But it wasn’t until you came face to face with him during a violent confrontation in the compound’s main hall that the devastating truth came to light.
The Front Man removed his mask, revealing the face Jun-ho had longed to see—and dreaded finding.
“In-ho?” Jun-ho’s voice cracked, disbelief written all over his face.
“It’s not what you think,” In-ho replied coldly, his eyes devoid of the warmth Jun-ho remembered.
You stood frozen, torn between stepping back to let them talk and stepping forward to protect Jun-ho. The exchange escalated quickly, words turning to blows as Jun-ho demanded answers.
In-ho’s betrayal cut deeper than any physical wound. You barely managed to pull Jun-ho away as guards stormed in, your cover blown.
“We need to go!” you yelled, dragging him through the chaos.
But Jun-ho wasn’t ready to let his brother go, not yet.
It wasn’t until weeks later, after regrouping and securing more evidence, that you cornered In-ho in an abandoned warehouse. The confrontation was tense, a standoff filled with equal parts anger and heartbreak.
“In-ho, this isn’t you!” Jun-ho shouted, his gun trained on his brother.
In-ho laughed bitterly. “You don’t understand, Jun-ho. This is survival. You wouldn’t have lasted a day in my position.”
The standoff ended with In-ho in handcuffs, his mask discarded on the floor. Jun-ho was silent as he watched his brother being escorted away, his expression a mix of relief and grief.
Months later, with the case closed and the organization dismantled, you found yourself back in Jun-ho’s apartment. The bottle of soju between you was half-empty, and the weight of the past seemed lighter for the first time.
“You did it,” you said, nudging him playfully. “You actually smiled in the precinct today. I thought they’d have to call an ambulance.”
He chuckled softly, a sound so rare it made your heart flutter. “I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Your eyes met, the unspoken tension between you finally breaking free. Slowly, he leaned closer, his hand brushing your cheek.
“Jun-ho…” you whispered, but whatever you were about to say was lost as his lips captured yours.
The kiss was everything you’d imagined—slow, deliberate, and filled with months of unspoken emotions. When you pulled back, breathless, his forehead rested against yours.
“You drive me crazy,” he murmured, a rare smile tugging at his lips.
“Good,” you teased, brushing your fingers through his hair. “Someone has to keep you on your toes.”
With a scoff, he drew you back into a kiss. This time it was more rough, filled with desire and lust. The taste of soju lingered on his tongue as he pushed his way into your mouth. His broad and muscular body towered over you, topping you on his couch.
"And someone has to keep your bratty mouth in check..." He whispered rasply as he pulled away. His long, calloused, fingers had a grip on your chin. "You're lucky I've kept my cool around you and haven't let myself loose."
You could feel the heat rise, the need for him escalating in an unhealthy way. Here you were, pinned on his couch. His knee pressed against your core and his lips not far from yours.
"Maybe I want you to set yourself loose." You whispered back. It was dangerous but you wanted him. No, you needed him.
With a slight smirk, Jun-Ho kissed your lips again. It was rough, fast, and needy. His hands scrambled to your shirt, immediately tossing up to kiss your torso.
You were in for a long night, but you couldn't complain. After all, you asked for it.

My Daughter's Mates
Izna Bang Jeemin x Male Reader
Anal, Creampie, First Time
Tumblr media
engrossed in work, when I heard a soft knock on my bedroom door. I looked up to see Jeemin, my daughter's best friend, Jiyoon peeking in. She was 19, with long, silky black hair, almond-shaped hazel eyes, and a petite frame that belied her fiery spirit. She was a stark contrast to my daughter, who was tall and fair, like her mother.
"Hey, Mr. Raja," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I hope I'm not disturbing you."
"Not at all, Jeemin," I replied, gesturing for her to come in. "What can I do for you?"
She hesitated for a moment before stepping into the room, her eyes darting around nervously. "I was wondering if... if you could help me with something," she said, her cheeks flushing a soft pink.
"Of course," I said, standing up from my desk. "What do you need help with?"
She took a deep breath, her eyes meeting mine. "I want you to teach me about sex," she blurted out, her voice steady despite the blush on her cheeks. "I'm tired of being a virgin, and I want to know everything, I know you fuck Jiyoon and I want it too"
I was taken aback, but I managed to keep my composure. "Jeemin, I'm flattered, but I'm not sure that's appropriate," I said, trying to keep my voice neutral.
"Why not?" she challenged, her eyes flashing. "You're the only person I trust with this. And I know you won't judge me."
I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "Alright, Jeemin," I said finally. "But this isn't something we can just jump into. We need to talk about it, understand it, before we... before anything happens."
She nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "I understand," she said. "I'll do whatever you say."
Over the next few days, we talked. We talked about consent, about safe sex, about pleasure and pain. We talked about her body, about what she liked and didn't like. We talked about my body, about what I liked and didn't like. And with each conversation, the tension between us grew, until it was palpable.
One evening, as we were sitting on my bed, talking about different sex positions, Jeemin turned to me, her eyes serious. "I want to try it now," she said. "I want you to teach me, Mr. Raja."
I leaned in, our faces inches apart. "And how do I make you feel, Jeemin?"
She took a deep breath, her eyes never leaving mine. "Excited," she said. "Nervous. Alive."
I smiled, my hand cupping her cheek. "And what if I told you I feel the same way?"
She looked at me, surprise and pleasure in her eyes. "You do?"
I nodded, my thumb brushing against her cheek. "I do," I said, my voice barely a whisper. "But I need to know, Jeemin. Are you sure about this?"
She bit her lip, her eyes searching mine. "Yes," she said. "I'm sure."
I leaned in, my lips capturing hers in a soft, gentle kiss. She responded instantly, her lips parting to let my tongue in. Our kiss deepened, our bodies pressing closer together. I could feel her heart racing, her breath coming in quick gasps.
I broke the kiss, my hands moving to her shoulders, pushing her dress down. She was wearing a simple bra, her breasts spilling out of the cups. I leaned down, my mouth capturing one of her nipples, sucking and nibbling on it. She moaned, her hands tangling in my hair.
I moved to the other breast, giving it the same attention. Her body was arching, her hips pressing against mine. I could feel her desire, her need. I wanted to taste her, to feel her.
I stood up, helping her out of her dress. She was wearing a simple thong, her pussy already wet, her clit begging for attention. I pushed her gently onto the bed, my hands running over her body, exploring every inch of her.
I moved between her legs, my mouth capturing her clit. She cried out, her hips bucking against my face. I licked and sucked, my tongue exploring every inch of her. She was moaning, her hands tangled in my hair, her body writhing beneath me.
I could feel her getting close, her body tensing. I slid two fingers into her pussy, curling them up to hit her G-spot. She screamed, her body convulsing as her orgasm ripped through her.
I moved up her body, my cock rock hard, ready to claim her. She looked at me, her eyes filled with desire. "Fuck me," she said. "Please, fuck me."
I smiled, positioning myself at her entrance. I slid in slowly, giving her time to adjust to my size. She was tight, her pussy gripping my cock like a vice. I groaned, my hips moving, my cock sliding in and out of her.
Jeemin wrapped her legs around me, her heels digging into my back. "Harder," she said. "Fuck me harder."
I obliged, my hips moving faster, my cock pounding into her. She was moaning, her body meeting each of my thrusts. I could feel her getting close again, her body tensing.
I flipped her over, positioning her on her hands and knees. I slid back into her, my cock filling her completely. She looked back at me, her eyes filled with desire. "Fuck my ass," she said. "I want you to fuck my ass."
I groaned, pulling out of her pussy. I positioned myself at her entrance, my cock sliding in slowly. She cried out, her body tensing. I gave her a moment to adjust, then I started to move, my cock sliding in and out of her ass.
She was moaning, her body meeting each of my thrusts. I could feel her getting close again, her body tensing. I reached around, my fingers finding her clit. I rubbed it in time with my thrusts, her body convulsing as her orgasm ripped through her.
I couldn't hold back any longer. I groaned, my cock exploding, my cum filling her ass. Jeemin collapsed onto the bed, her body shaking with aftershocks.
I lay down next to her, my arm wrapped around her. She looked at me, her eyes filled with satisfaction. "That was... incredible," she said.
I smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "It was," I said. "And it's just the beginning, Bang Jeemin."

prince!carlos x noblewoman!reader au blurb
as the daughter of a lord, you had a duty to your family to enter into an advantageous marriage. you had always been beautiful, attracting many suitors over the years, but none who had caught your specific interest. what you didn’t know was that you had caught the eye of the very handsome, and very eligible, prince of the kingdom.
prince!carlos who sees you across the room at a ball, enraptured by your striking beauty. he is drawn to you magnetically, abandoning his conversation with his father, the king, to pursue you across the room. he pushes through the lords and ladies on the dance floor, craning his neck to pinpoint you in your baby blue dress. he is finally able to approach you, bowing his head to you respectfully. he asks for a dance and you graciously accept, too shocked to do anything else.
prince!carlos who writes you letters after that night at the ball, inquiring more about your interests. he delights in receiving your replies, penned with swirly script and light strokes of ink. he sent gifts to your family home based on what you wrote in your letters. dozens upon dozens of bouquets of lilacs which you explained were your favorite, boxes of books to expand your personal library which you spent hours upon hours in, and a stunningly beautiful woven basket since you mentioned picnicking was how you spent your sunday afternoons. it was refreshing to receive this type of attention, as most previous suitors were only concerned with your beauty and the connections of your family. no one had ever tried this hard to capture your affection.
prince!carlos who arrives at your estate to ask your father’s permission to court you, even though he technically doesn’t need it. he wanted to make sure he was obeying by all the rules of polite society, even though his status as the prince omitted him from many of these formalities. he respected you and your family, and didn’t want to make you feel lesser than. your father heartily gave his consent, pleased at the prince’s chivalry as well as his own luck. carlos hurried out to where you waited in the garden, capturing you in his warm embrace as you held each other happily.
prince!carlos who took you horseback riding on the palace grounds for some bonding time. you both shared a love for animals, especially your horses. you raced through the trees on your mare, not minding how the branches ripped holes in your dress or how the whipping wind mussed your hair, looking back ever so often to see carlos chasing you with a grin.
prince!carlos who eagerly introduced you formally to his parents, the king and queen, after a few weeks of courting. they were delighted to meet you and agreed with him, in secret, you would make a wonderful princess and future queen to the realm. they welcomed you with open arms to the family, making you feel like you truly belonged. he took you around on a tour of the castle, introducing you to all the staff you would sure be seeing again soon if things kept going the way they were. he walked you through the halls with his hand on the small of your back to guide you, respectful but intentional.

He also personally fed them 4 meals, gave them a study room, and let them take as many breaks as they want. Doesnt seem like behavior from a boss that really wants that employee to work 12 hours. Seems like they would rather they focus on their studies that are more important, but are thankful as fuck and respecing their decisions, on the condition they accept a shitton of italian hospitality. The wording of "today" also implies this was an unusual shift. Those happen.
Capitalism had placed the bar so far underground that we forgot it's possible to work hard for each other sometimes, without exploitation. Maybe we should trust the poster to know if their boss sucks or not. We don't even have the full story.
I mean they absolutely could suck. But there's no reason to think that's the case based on this one paragraph. It kinda seems like the person doing all that work and study thinks the opposite, and they're the one with actual context on how this business we know nothing about really is. But I do know restaurant work, and it really do be like that sometimes. If there are slow periods on a shift with not enough employees to cover, your business is dying and broke as fuck.
That being said, they really need to slow before they burn the fuck out, and the boss seems to realize this from what was written. If there is something to rage against, its that things are so tight that this happened in the first place. If you want to cast blame, aim higher. Education shouldn't just be free. It should come with a check to support you. Universal basic income needs to be implemented. These are real things that can fix the root of the problem.
But if all you have is a restaurant with no money and no employees, sometimes the only thing you can give is a bunch of warm meals and a place to rest and study. Until we overthrow capitalism, any business is gonna suck because all our production is being seized by like a handful of guys we haven't shot yet. No one can afford to eat out right now. We can barely even afford to eat. That impacts the business and the employees directly. It all comes back to billionaires. All of it. Always.
Tumblr media
The standard for a good boss is so far underground that a boss who makes an employee work a 12 hour shift can literally be called an angel.

art donaldson x mean girl!gf hcs :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
୨ৎ personality for the character (reader) is based off jade west from victorious!
୨ৎ if there were three things people remembered you by, it would be your rbf, your brutal (sometimes unnecessary) honesty and your boyfriend who is your complete opposite, art donaldson.
୨ৎ you and art dating came as a surprise to everyone, he was an angel while you were... you've had your moments.
୨ৎ they all came to accept it sooner or later, seeing as how the two of you balanced each other out. with art around, the chances of your outbursts were lower and with you around, art learned how to stop being such a pushover.
୨ৎ art loved your transparency and honesty, the way he doesn't have to walk on eggshells around you or decipher whatever is going on in your brain because you express so clearly the emotions you feel.
୨ৎ other people may have their thoughts on you, gossip about who you are and all that but he knows that they're all surface level, he knows you better than anyone so he knows it comes from a good place.
୨ৎ you're overprotective of him and your close friends, you don't like it when other people cross boundaries and make you (and him) uncomfortable.
୨ৎ he's pretty much the only person who's well equipped to deal with your moods, knowing when to pull you away when things become too much and you're starting to get irritable from overstimulation. he knows how to calm you down, help you ground yourself.
୨ৎ on the rare occasions you blow up on him, he tries not to take it to the heart. he knows it's more the situation than him, you were blowing up at him and not about. but it still doesn't change the fact that it hurt, so he goes quiet and leaves you alone.
୨ৎ you tell him to fuck off and he will, but just in the other room. he knows you'll come around soon enough and make up, so he doesn't approach you unless you make the first move.
୨ৎ usually you find him wrapped up on the couch, with a tray of meal on the coffee table waiting for you. even when you were so unfair to him, he still wants to take care of you.
୨ৎ "it's alright, darling. you were just stressed, i know you didn't mean it"
୨ৎ aside from that, he finds it hot when you're mean to other people. especially when you're jealous :3 which is often, considering art is pretty famous on campus.
୨ৎ this man would stand behind you while you go off on a girl that tried to kiss him, giggling and blushing while holding your hand.
୨ৎ he also likes it when you end up using your mean-ness for good lol, someone's yelling at the pregnant cashier lady at the grocery? you're giving them the same energy. a professor is trying to humiliate someone in front of the entire class? they can kiss their job goodbye.
୨ৎ you and art balance each other so well, when he's too shy or too much of a pushover to disagree with whatever, you push him to do it anyways and remind him to prioritize himself. when he's doubtful of himself especially in his tennis career, you tell him that a man with his talents is allowed to be a little arrogant.
୨ৎ he's so malewife energy and he's well aware of that, i swear his type in women are assertive and feisty ones.

You've been aware that the two of them have been attracted to each other for quite some time. In fact, your wife has told you several times how much she likes him and how sexy she thinks he is, while he has told you many times how lucky you are to be married to her -- and he has told you several times how much he wishes she were single so that he could go out with her. Then, a couple of weeks ago -- he told you that for her birthday that was coming up, he was going to get her a ticket to go with him to a concert with one of her favorite groups -- but he wanted to make sure that would be OK with you. You weren't sure if it was -- but when you mentioned it to her, she got very excited and told you to definitely tell him that she would love to go with him.
But the thing is -- the concert is out of town (about two hours away) and would go very late, so their plan is to go out to dinner after driving there and then stay the night after the concert. And when he had come over on her birthday to tell her about the gift in person, she had given him a big, and very affectionate hug -- and a very affectionate kiss. And they both talked about their plans as a "date".
And then a bit later that evening -- the evening of her birthday, which you had planned to be a special romantic night for you and your wife -- after he had stayed for dinner and you all had several glasses of wine, he had suddenly teased you by openly asking her if she thought they would need two hotel rooms or if he could save some money by only paying for one -- and she had giggled then and laughingly said that one should be fine. And then he had laughed and followed that by asking whether that would still be OK even if the room had just one queen-sized bed instead of two beds, and she had again giggled and said one would be fine.
Surprisingly, it wasn't until that moment that you started to feel anxious about what might happen when they spent the night together after the concert. But still, even when your wife looked at you at that moment and said teasingly "That's OK with you hun, isn't it?" -- you didn't feel you really could give any answer except 'Yes, of course."
Your wife smiled at you when you said that, and said that going to that concert with him might be the best birthday present she's ever had -- which also made your stomach flip a bit since it was not a gift that you were giving her, but you also realized that it would be petty of you to say anything about all the gifts from you that she's received over the years at a moment when she was so excited about the gift from him.
Perhaps because you had all had quite a bit of wine, as you went to the family room to watch TV, their teasing of you continued. First, your wife sat on the loveseat directly in front of the TV, and when you went to sit beside her, she said in a laughing voice that she thought it would be nice if he sat beside her there tonight since he was the one who had given her such a nice gift -- which meant that they ended up sitting together there while you were in a comfy chair on the side.
And almost as soon as he was settled in next to her, she took his arm and put it around her while saying to you, teasingly again: "You don't mind if he and I snuggle a bit together, do you hun?". You said, once again, "No, of course not", but that didn't represent how you really felt. A few minutes later, you wife asked you to get them a blanket to share while they sat there, and so it wasn't long until they were close together on the loveseat, he with his arm around her shoulders while she had her head on his shoulder and with a large blanket across the two of them.
Because all the lights in the room were out, you couldn't see the two of them all that well, but through the glow of the TV you could see that they were very close and that from time to time they were kissing. And one time when they were kissing, your wife noticed you looking at them and she teasingly told you to stop looking their way -- that she was just giving him a few kisses as a way of saying thank you for the gift, and then ending again with "You don't mind, do you hun?".
You tried to do as she asked and not look away from the TV, but it was still hard for you to avoid noticing that there seemed to be a lot of activity underneath the blanket, and you could sense your wife starting to breath in a very sexually aroused way -- and so, it was in somewhat of a panting voice that your wife eventually told you -- much to your surprise -- that they both would like it if you could go out for a while.
"Hun" she said. "Could you go out and maybe do the weekly shopping now or something -- so that you're gone for an hour at least? We .. uh .. could use a little private time. You know -- to talk -- just the two of us. You'll do that for us, won't you? To help make my birthday really special?"
What choice did you have. So you somewhat meekly agreed -- first asking them if there was anything special they wanted you to buy, then grabbing the shopping list from the kitchen and heading out.
You took your time driving and shopping, so it was about another hour and a half before you got back home, arms full of groceries. As soon as you stepped into the house, you heard your wife giggling, and after putting away the groceries you went back into the family room, where you could dimly see your wife and your friend almost totally covered by the blanket -- but what looked like most of their clothes on the floor in front of them.
"THANKS hun", your wife said with another laugh. "Just one more thing -- another big ask as a special birthday treat from you. We were thinking that we probably need to test out if we are comfortable sleeping together in a queen size bed, so we'd like tonight to be our "test" night for that. So what I'm saying is" she continued with a giggle "that maybe you could go down to the basement guest room for tonight so we can have the master bedroom? You've been so great about helping to make this such a wonderful birthday evening. And I'm sure you'll be comfortable down there. OK sweetie?"
Again -- what choice did you have. And so -- your wife and best friend spent the night upstairs in your bed while you spent the night alone in the basement

“so we just have sex to solve all our problems”
💿now playing: cotton candy by yungblud
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
❯ summary: Your boyfriend, Wonbin, is so fucking stubborn that he never knows when, how or why he should apologise. Good thing he’s good at hot, sweaty make-up sex though.
❯ pairings: wonbin x fem!reader
❯ genre: established relationship, angst, smut
❯ words: 1.3k
❯ tags: 18+ minors dni!, swearing, make-up sex, pretty arguing for like a second, wonbin is insufferably stubborn, mention of marking, unprotected sex, lowkey a toxic dynamic oops
an: this fic has absolutely nothing to do with cotton candy, or the song really lol, i was just inspired by this one lyric.
Tumblr media
Park Wonbin is stubborn—but not as stubborn as you.
He never thought he’d meet someone who could rival him in that department, let alone end up dating them. It’s a mess, really. Maybe even toxic. Because while he loves every single part of you, when the two of you argue, it’s like fire meeting fire.
It gets nasty. Personal. Downright vicious. Honestly, your friends can’t figure out how you’ve lasted this long—especially since neither of you ever wants to be the first to back down. Apologising? Yeah, no.
Wonbin doesn’t apologise.
But this time, he really should.
It started the same, always does, over something petty like the dishes, or jealousy or when he works long hours and forgets to schedule you in but always seems to have time for the boys. That last one was oddly specific because it’s the exact reason you’ve been screaming at each other in his apartment for the past twenty minutes.
You’d jabbed at his chest with your finger and he’d swatted it away. The fury in his eyes lit aflame, and you weren’t sure you saw an end in sight.
But then he said it.
“If you don’t like it, you can leave.”
That was the end. Because stubborn might as well have been your middle name, and you were ready to make good on his threat—if only his apartment wasn’t so far from yours.
“Fine, I’ll be gone first thing in the morning.”
“Fine,” he spat.
Without another word, you turned on your heel and stormed off to the bedroom, your footsteps heavy with anger. You didn’t bother slamming the door—too cliché—but the sharp click of it shutting was enough to drive your point home.
You busied yourself with grabbing whatever you’d brought over—a spare set of clothes, your charger, a few toiletries—but the more you moved around the room, the more frustrated you became. Your hands shook as you stuffed items into your bag, biting the inside of your cheek to keep from yelling.
Yelling would give him too much satisfaction, and satisfaction was the last thing you wanted to give him right now.
You throw yourself onto the bed, glaring up at the ceiling. The covers feel cold, they always do when he’s not there to cuddle you asleep, not that you’d want that right now, you’d technically just broken up—maybe—ugh, you don’t know. He’s too complicated to work out.
Instead, you curl up on your side, the pillow barely softening the tension in your neck. And sleep doesn’t come easily—your mind replays every word, every jab, and that final, infuriating sentence: “If you don’t like it, you can leave.”
Asshole.
Hours pass, the silence of the apartment punctuated only by the occasional creak of the floorboards and the low hum of the city outside. Your phone screen glares at you from the nightstand, but you ignore it. You weren’t about to scroll through social media for comfort—not tonight.
The doorknob turns with a faint click, and the door opens just enough for him to slip inside. The soft rustle of his clothes and the weight of his footsteps tell you exactly who it is.
You don’t move. Don’t look. Just stay still, pretending to be asleep.
And then the bed dips—but it’s not like you can be mad—this is his house, his room, his bed.
Just…why did he have to be so goddamn stubborn? You’re not going to apologise. You’ve done nothing wrong.
And like you said, Wonbin doesn’t apologise either.
Well…not verbally, at least.
Because within minutes, the shift in the mattress goes from tentative to deliberate. His hand slides across your waist, pulling you flush against him, and before you can even protest, he’s pressing into you—pinning you to the bed, his actions saying everything his pride won’t.
Because when Wonbin knows he’s wrong, he’s bad with words. Instead his body moves against yours, wordlessly pleading for forgiveness the only way he knows how—telling you he regrets what he did.
This is the exact reason he doesn’t apologise. Why should he when he can just fuck you silly and make up?
It’s always from the back after you fight, and you’ve come to understand that it’s because Wonbin doesn’t want to look into your eyes and see any lingering hurt. He's not supposed to be the one that hurts you, he hates it actually.
His hands wrap around your wrists, smashing your palms against the mattress as his slender frame rubs against your back, allowing you to feel every inch of his hot, sweat-soaked skin as he thrusts.
His face finds his favourite place, buried in your nape, because there’s something so possessive about it; and he needs to mark it because he doesn’t want you to leave. He might have said it, yes, but he didn’t mean it. You have to know he didn't mean it.
Your nails dig into the sheets as he licks and sucks, leaving his signature purple love bites across your flesh. You practically mewel into the pillow you’re chewing on when he dips between your shoulder blades and marks there too.
He’s really drilling it home, and you can feel all of the passion and love he has for you poured into his fucking, but it’s almost not enough.
It’s too easy. He’s too easy to forgive considering he hasn’t muttered the word ‘sorry’ since you met him.
But as you turn around to try and even attempt to reprimand him, one look at the crimson tint on his pale complexion and the heavy lidded haze on his eyes has you clenching around his cock. And then the fucker had to go and whimper, the sound so faint and vunberable it was impossible to be mad at him.
“Binnie—” you moan, arching your back to give him a better angle, pushing yourself into his fervent rutting.
Your head rolls against your shoulders, tilting back, needing a better look of him. His unruly black hair damp and sticking to his own face, his lip chewed from biting down. He nuzzles close to your cheek, panting and grunting in your ear and it becomes your undoing.
“Baby, kiss me…” you plead with him for just a little taste, your lips parted, jaw hanging slack and your eyes dazed.
You can’t believe you’re the one begging him right now.
Instead of answering you, Wonbin only grunts and nests his face into your neck, where he kisses and sucks and nibbles on your pulse point as his hips slap against your ass in rapid, needy thrust. He keeps uttering your name, whining it in between his ragged breaths, squeezing both of your wrists until your fingers are tingling.
You can tell that he’s right on the edge, chasing his elusive high deep into your cunt, his sensitive tip twitching and throbbing as it daubs at your inner nerves. Your stomach knots up.
“Oh, fuck, Bin—!”
Wonbin wraps a gentle fist around your neck and guides your face back into the pillows, shushing you breathlessly as he does so. You know why— you’re so damn loud when he fucks you like this, and Wonbin is a jealous man. Your moans are his to hear—not his lousy neighbour who he has seen checking you out a couple of times.
That could start another argument on its own.
As you both settle, your body trembling with aftershocks and his twitching needily, you feel him pull out with a long, shaking moan. Your body reacts, missing the feel of him. You roll onto your back, panting whilst staring at the ceiling and he sits back on his knees.
You look at him and manage a small smile, though his face remains clouded with a frown. His eyes flicker to yours for a moment before darting away. You sigh, already knowing what this means—you’ll have to be the one to speak first.
“Baby, c’mere,” you say softly, opening your arms.
It’s all the invitation he needs. Without a word, he slides into your hold, his movements almost hesitant as he rests his head against your chest. He avoids your gaze, even as your fingers thread gently through his damp hair.
“It’s okay,” you murmur, your voice tender and low. “I forgive you. I love you.”
Maybe Park Wonbin was as stubborn as you.

Note
I think there's two things going on in canon about Aizen:
Aizen doesn't kill captains in the first big battle of his betrayal because he can't.
1. The doylist explanation of his actions is so blatantly transparent (shonen jump scheduling hell) that it overwhelms the subtle watsonian clues that kubo gives us which are:
2. Aizen is a lying bitch. To absolutely everyone around him, but most of all, to himself.
He takes great pains to disguise it. He talks a big game and definitely tries his best to kill, but he doesn't. it makes tactical sense for him to kill at least SOMEONE before fucking off to hueco Mundo but even the fucking off belies the problem. He's a tough customer, but if he really were capable of killing another captain in a fight, he wouldn't have bothered with the whole fake corpse theater- he would have just picked them off one by one while quietly completing the hogyoku until Yamamoto had straight-up run out of strong enough shinigami to promote and Aizen had made himself a god while nobody was looking.
Instead, Aizen's plan relies on (and fails at) having the captains kill each other, and building an army of warm bodies to put between himself and the rest of the Court Guard until the Hogyoku is complete, which pretty much screams "I cannot win, even in a pitched fight".
EVEN WHEN THE HOGYOKU IS COMPLETE, Aizen doesn't stick around to actually finish off the captains- he bolts to the living world AGAIN and shuts the portal doors behind him.
-
Now that we know that Aizen is mostly smoke and mirrors who is desperately trying to stay alive until his godhood hax kick in, his pattern of avoidance of real threats reveals something interesting:
It's funny that you mention him being afraid of Yamamoto because I think he is afraid, but not of Yamamoto. Aizen doesn't want anyone to think he's scared of anything, but it's better you think it's Yamamoto than The Actual Problem. If you ignore everything Aizen says and just look at how close he's willing to even let other captains get to his person, there is one captain he's TERRIFIED of above all others.
He spends exactly one scene in the same room with them, and only when he knows the meeting is ending early.
He absolutely refuses to taunt them- in fact, they're the person he spends the most time trying to convince that he is actually dead.
When confronted by the various captains, he glaots a bit and then tries to kill them- except one, whole monologues at exactly long enough for Gin to cause a distraction, and then DIPS. He even cuts his big monologue at the execution grounds short because this Captain is incoming.
When the finale of the winter war begins, Aizen makes a point of not being in the same dimension as this captain, and when they're approaching, he leaves for the living world.
Again and again and again, there is one captain, one person, that Aizen stays far, far away from:
Unohana.
I don't think this is intentional on Kubo's part, (unless it's severely underplayed foreshadowing which is a shame) but given how kubo treats his female characters and how he doesn't really seem to understand what a doctor does, I think Aizen's pattern of staying the hell away from Unohana is accidental, but it's my fic and I can have it be on purpose because it reveals some truly delicious motivation and interaction.
1. AEIWAM!Aizen (and to a similar extent, canon!Aizen) regularly squanders perfectly good resources or chances to fix the inequities of soul society because he's too far up his own ass to see the forest for the trees. One of the cheif blindspots he has is his rampant misogyny. Aizen regards the relationship between Gin and Rangiku as that of child and toy. He treats Momo as a disposable tool instead of recognizing she was the one who got closest to actual killing any of the other captains. He seems to think the royal guard themselves will be easy to deal with- possibly because the only one he ever knew in person was Hikifune, and it is so, so easy for a man like him to wildly low all the power and competence of someone like her. He rambles about the hollows having no inner life, but notably it's Hallibel that triggers this rant. It NEVER occurs to him that Orihime herself could be a problem - she's just a toy to take from Ichigo.
Aizen, simply put, does not think of women as people. He disregards the interiority of everyone around him, really, but ESPECIALLY the women around him.
...but this kind of objectification cuts both ways. Like most bigots, his inability to think of certain humans as people means he is also prone to greatly inflate the damage they can do in his mind until they become supernatural entities. "The Enemy is both pathetic and omnipotent" is an important basis of victim complexes, and Aizen Loooooves being the victim, so it makes PERFECT SENSE that his personal Boogeyman is none other than the woman he knows entirely as the quiet and dutiful doctor who has never set foot in battle but that all the older shinigami seem strangely eager to placate. Unohana is pathetically weak, so far as Aizen can tell, yet seems to effortlessly command the respect he so desperately craves. No wonder she lives rent-free in his head.
2. ... Ironically, Aizen is right about her. In canon, Unohana's past as the first kenpachi is not a secret, just largely forgotten. In AEIWAM, it's an actual secret because the Gotei-13 is playing a much more fraught game with the C46. Aizen genuinely has no idea she used to be captain of the 11th, so the weird bloodthirsty edges that he sometimes sees to her reiatsu, and the respect she commands with the other (smarter) captains is baffling.
In truth, Unohana is every inch the monster she was as a kenpachi as she is a medic. Flesh is hers to command and her willingness to cut and sculpt it to her desires hasn't changed- she is just now also capable of healing and reviving it into shape as well, which is much, much worse.
I haven't decided exactly how much Aizen knows about her by the time of his betrayal, but at least on a subconscious level, I think Aizen knows that Unohana is punching in a league well above most of the captains, if not above the old man himself at this point, and his inability to think of her as human means he is unable to assign human motives to her like most of his victims, so she appears terrifyingly unpredictable.
3. Even if it's a secret, some of the captains know, or have guessed. She was still Kenpachi when Shunsui and Ukitake started at the academy. Soi Fon is responsible for handling some of soul society's most sensitive information. Zaraki got his ass handed to him by her and has been in love ever since. Rangiku looked into giving blood once and realized that the most of donors to transplants didn't add up and the meat had to be coming from SOMEWHERE and oh wait that would explain everything huh.
There's a fun bit of play, I think, between the captains who knows Unohana is more than she at first appears, and the ones who haven't gotten a clue yet.
I may have wandered off topic.
MY POINT IS: Aizen doesn't kill captains when it makes tactical sense for him to do so because he is not capable of doing so. His whole strategy relies on not getting killed before he gets his godhood and up until he does, he's running like a rat.
Poor bastard.
If only he knew what was in store for him when he got there.
I did not care at all for Aizen Sosuke when I first read bleach. I found him boring, and worst, unthreatening.
So it's pretty jarring for me that I have been OBSESSED with him in your AU. I'm rotating him at great speed
Walt Disney was a jackass who was flat-out wrong about a lot of very important things, but he employed a great many geniuses of storytelling, and there's a piece in Disney Animation: The Illusion of Life by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnson that discusses a key feature of Disney Studios Character Design:
"Of all characters, villains are the most fun to develop because they make everything else happen. They are the instigators, and always more colorful than the Hero. They may be dramatic, awesome, insidious or semi-comic, but they MUST be appealing. Almost any story becomes innocuous if all the evil is eliminated, but we do not necessarily gain strength by being frightening. we want a character that will hold the audience and entertain them, even if it's a Chilling Type of Entertainment."
And I've found that to be an important principle of character design, especially the kind of canon restructuring I do.
Aizen had a LOT going for him in canon- for all of Bleach's other faults, Aizen's conspiracy and THE REVEAL are spectacularly constructed and executed. I legit screamed and threw my mug across my dorm room when I read it in the manga the first time. He's also conventionally attractive and the translations I was reading gave him the speech patterns of Every Douchebag In Your 101 Political Theory Who Thinks He's The Smartest Man In The Room, which made him a terrific combination of Unfortunately Charming, Menacingly Competent and Engagingly Obnoxious.
...But he falls flat in a few key places.
Aizen's reasoning could be MUCH more sympathetic- After all, he is RIGHT. Soul Sciety does suck ass and all the options kind of suck. Who designs a universe like that? An asshole who needs killing, that's who. The best kind of Unhinged Madmen are the kind who spell out their reasoning and you realize that there but for the grace of Not Having Super Powers Go I. Canon!Aizen makes a few Good Rhetorical Points, but seems to lack any personal connection to his all-consuming plan.
Another issue is that nearly every villain with A Plan has a clear end goal AND a lot of the menace is drawn from the fact that the plan *could* work. Aizen's plan for betraying the court guard and then killing them off before proceeding into the Royal Realm to Kill God sorta falls apart when it's clear he planned to use pretty much all his accumulated forces dealing with the court guard and doesn't seem to have a plan for the Even More Powerful Royal Guard, let alone God. For how meticulously planned the rest of the plot is, the last two VERY IMPORTANT steps are just handwaved.
So I sat down and started with the plot beats Aizen MUST hit, and tried to imagine what kind of guy would he have to be to get there? And I came up with this:
Sosuke Aizen is a fundamentally good man with genuinely good intentions who is really trying his best for the whole world.
Think about it- what lengths would you NOT go to if you think you found a genuine shot at Fixing Everything Wrong With The World Forever? We all talk about killing Hitler if we found an actual Time Machine- would you do it if your only chance was when he was a baby? Would you kill an infant if it meant you could stop World War II before it starts? Of course you would! One small life for over 75 million? You'd be insane not to! What if you found out that you could prevent the future extinction of Humanity by killing your best friend today? Ten Billion lives? For theirs? It's simple, really- Hell, it's your Moral Obligation to do that if you were SURE!
-And Aizen IS sure. He is absolutely, totally, completely sure that He Can Save Everyone if he just gets rid of that idiot sitting on the throne of heaven. He's seen the plans! He knows where the gate of heaven is! It's So SIMPLE he just has to get inside, and he knows EXACTLY how to do it, yes it'll be hard and there will be... unpleasant parts but. IT. WILL. WORK.
He is of course, insane.
Aizen didn't have One Bad Day that set him irrevocably on the path of madness. It was a succession of catastrophic disappointments and realizations that he was living in a fundamentally irrational world that made irrational thinking look sane. The Catastrophe that befell his family, working for the central 46 and later the court guard and seeing how the organizations were inept to the point of abuse or corrupt to the core, learning that The Actual House Of God is a place he can just? Go to? Anyone would start thinking you were just a handful of white lies and homicides away from Fixing Everything, Forever.
Not only is Aizen insane, he is nowhere near as smart as he thinks. He is smart- He does have a knack for being able to guess just what will spur someone to action or make them recoil in fear. But mostly he gets extremely lucky Many, Many, MANY times. On some level I think it gives him Confirmation Bias that this is what he's supposed to be doing. Aizen is also nowhere near as smart as (nearly) everyone else thinks he is. His bizarrely good luck makes him look like a hyper-competent genius when really it was really the catastrophic failure of Soul Society as a Society that let a merely mediocre conspirator to evade detection for so long.
Being that he is at most, mediocre, he had to have Outside Help, specifically Gin's emotional support and Tousen's Competence- and if there's a part of the fic that stays true to canon, it's this.
Gin is Aizen's emotional rock in Canon. He's the ONE guy that Aizen genuinely trusts, and considers his 'my only real partner' in his scheme. There's more than one occasion in the manga where Aizen more or less asks Gin "Is this actually a good idea?" and Gin backs him up every time.
...Which is more than a bit at odds with Gin's later stated goal of "I did all this to kill you at your most vulnerable to protect rangiku" . It never rang true to me. So I started thinking why on EARTH Gin would be backing Aizen up like that, and realized there was a hole in my world building that he slotted into nicely :)
On the other hand, the entire fic was started because I didn't like how Tousen's character arc ended, so you can imagine how much he's changed.
But in canon, TOUSEN DOES ALL THE FUCKING WORK.
Lab work? Tousen.
Supervising the arrancar directly? Tousen
Actually getting victims for the Hogyoku experiments? Tousen.
Altering all the archives to keep Aizen's plot hidden? Tousen.
Sending all the Orders allegedly from the central 46? Tousen.
Making sure Unohana believes Aizen's fake body is real? Tousen.
Managing all the day-to-day operations at Las Noches? Tousen.
There's even this little exchange, which is Tousen's first appearance in the Manga:
Tumblr media
Aizen establishes this entire meeting is a little fake-out a few pages later with "now isn't that a convenieint time for the alarm to go off?"
which makes him look like he's investigating, but he's also going "Good job on disrupting everyone with the alarm Gin!" It's ballsy of Aizen to do a check-in on his plan with his main nemesis in the room, but also his style.
I think the same thing is happening here with Tousen. To make sure Ukitake wouldn't raise a huge fit about the proposed execution of his beloved lieutenant, which might fuck everything up for Aizen because Ukitake is one of like, three people Yamamoto will listen to (sort of).
...So he had Tousen poison Ukitake to keep him out of the way.
ALL. THE. FUCKING. WORK. It's even in his name! The characters for "Tousen" Refer to a legendary scholar the emperor of China sent out to discover the secret of immortality- only to kill the scholar when he returned with that secret. The character for "Kaname" means "Necessary/Vital/keystone" or "to organize/take account of". His name LITERALLY means "Scholar who is essential for the plan (that we're going to kill later)"
Another thing Kubo did well in Bleach: his name game is Off The Fucking Charts.
-but I digress.
In AEIWAM, it's much the same only this time Aizen sees this very dangerous witness who is immune to his illusions but also extremely snart and capable young man and instead of risking being caught out by the one damn guy who can see right through him, opts to Curse Kaname into doing as Aizen says, and doing all the fucking work of this conspiracy against his will.
It's Not Nice, but Aizen genuinely thinks he's doing Kaname a favor by subjecting him to this degrading and incredibly painful servitude- I mean, Aizen's only other option was to Kill him to keep his silence, and isn't it wonderful that you get to help fix the universe? You're the one always going on about Justice, I don't understand why you didn't jump at the chance to mete out some Divine Justice.
An Excerpt from the captain's meeting in between the Massacre that made the visored and Zaraki's arrival, when Kaname realizes Yamamoto is 100% serious about his promotion to captain of the 9th and goes to throw up in the garden. Aizen offers to go check on him while Unohana very politely reads the general the riot act:
---
"You broke your toy Aizen." Kaname coughs.
"…I really am sorry for running you ragged like this. I really shouldn't have gotten so mad about you hiding the the hogyoku- it was very petty of me." The bastard sighs, taking off his glasses and rubbing his face, entirely genuine.
Kaname stayed on his hands and knees, weaving slightly as another wave of nausea flowed through him, powered by disgust and rage.
"How about this- I've got a lot coming up with the new job, training Gin and disposing of Kiganjo- So how about I promise to not give you any orders for a while? You will have to keep our arrangement a secret and not interfere, of course, but other than that, you're free to do as you please for- a year and a day is traditional isn't it? No, that's not going to heal by then- Oh, would you look at that!"
Kaname didn't have the strength to offer his usual rebuttal that he won't look at anything, ever. The sides of his head tingle like his skul was being pressed between two enormous hands made of static electricity.
"It's 11:11! Alright, I won't give you any Orders until 11:11 am on November 11th, 1911. That's easy to remember! What do you think?" Aizen continued cheerfully, patting his back and the Curse nails.
"…I can't." Kaname groaned. He could scream if he had the energy, but due to Aizen's Illusions, nobody would hear him. "I actually physically can't think. Please…"
"Of course! You really are such a help to me, it would be a shame to lose you. I'll even amend our contract, so you don't get paranoid-" There was a sizzling sound and a new stroke of hot pain up Kaname's spine as Aizen did something to the wretched Bakudo. "There. No compulsions for eleven years and a day. What do you say?"
Kaname grimaced, but dropped his head. Save the energy to fight another day. "…thank you, Aizen-sama."
"Good man! Let's get you on your feet." Aizen beamed, putting his glasses back on and offering him an arm.
---
He genuinely thinks that he's doing everyone a huge favor and if they don't get it it's because they're just not smart enough, but it's alright, He's a Benevolent God and they'll appreciate all his hard work the next time around :)
Aizen is a man who is FULL of joy. He loves what he does! He actively takes pleasure in it! And I think that's something that REALLY delivers in terms of sympathy AND horror for him. Who *Wouldn't* have a great time actually fixing the universe? He's a good man who enjoys doing good works, and this is the greatest work of all!
It also Delivers on the Horror when I get to write the deliciously fun scenes where Aizen is Elbows-deep in a novel War Crime and waxing poetic about how GREAT this is, or being confused why the people around him are reacting with fear. Don't you want to make everything better too?

I Know I’m Not Your Everything (Drabble)
Natasha Romanoff X GN! Reader
Warnings: Angst
18+ MINORS DNI
At the beginning, both Y/N and Natasha were in love, well so it seemed. As Y/N’s feelings grew, their doubts grew silently within. Over the years of them being together, dates became very few, hardly any time spent together. Y/N could feel Natasha pulling away, further and further away as time went on. Although the two had extremely demanding roles within the Avengers, Y/N still made time and effort to try and make their relationship work, with every beat of their heart, it ached, it pained them to realise what was truly happening. So they decided one day, after they returned from a mission, to talk to Natasha.
“Hey.” Nat smiled slightly as Y/N entered their bedroom. “I didn’t know you were coming home today.”
“Yeah, well we completed the mission.” They told her, no emotion within their voice.
“Are you okay?” She questioned, sitting up on the bed.
“I honestly don’t know.” They chuckled as they moved towards the closet, getting themselves some clothes for a shower.
“Do you want to talk about it?” She questioned as Y/N sighed, taking a deep breath before placing their clean clothes on the bed neatly.
“You know, I’ve been thinking a lot lately.” They started as they remained on their feet, their heart beat racing in their chest. “About us.”
“What about us?” Nat questioned.
“You know that you’re my everything.” They told her barely above a whisper. “And it’s got me thinking over the past couple of years, it’s only me who’s making an effort, I’m always the one organising our dates, asking you on a date. But I.” They rubbed their brow nervously. “I can see more than just that, the lack of dates. There’s so much more, we barely talk to each other unless I start the conversation, but the few moments when you start the conversation, it feels like you get bored before it’s already begun.” Nat listened to their every word before trying to find the words.
“I.” She started before Y/N shook their head.
“I’m not stupid Natasha.” They told her. “I can feel it, I can feel you pulling away. You tell me that you love me, that you’ll always need me, but it’s like you’re just saying that to save face.”
“I do love you.” Nat spoke up, her voice low.
“You say that you love me, but you don’t.” Y/N’s shoulders slumped as they spoke. “Not really, not like I love you. I would do anything for you, whenever you needed me to, and you know that. You know exactly how I feel, and you know I fell hard when I fell for you. I did, you are my everything. The one person who I thought would always be here for me, despite everyone else always leaving me, I thought that you wouldn’t be like them.”
“I’m not like them, I’m still here.” She tried as she got to her feet.
“You’re not really.” Y/N yelled, running their hands down their face. “When was the last time we both had a deep conversation? Not about work or any of the others, something that we only feel comfortable with telling each other.” Nat tried to find the answer, her mind running in circles as Y/N soon broke her thoughts. “You’re my everything, you have been since the moment I was sure about my feelings.” They told her, tears welling up in their own eyes at the thought of their next words, soon taking a shaky breath before continuing. “But, I know I’m not your everything.”
“Y/N.” She tried as she watched them grab their clothes from the bed. “I.” Y/N remained in their spot, waiting for her to speak.
“It’s okay.” They told her, looking in her eyes. “I just, I thought you were the one for me.” They chuckled dryly. “No, I know you are the one for me, but I know I’m not the one for you.” With that they left the room, their clothes in hand as they headed towards their old room, leaving Natasha stood frozen, lost in her thoughts at what had just happened.

“Merry Christmas!” you both called out cheerfully as the door opened.
Your mom appeared in the doorway, her face lighting up at the sight of her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.
“Oh, Y/N!” she exclaimed, pulling you into a tight hug.
“And look at this little one!”
Her eyes softened as she bent down to stroke Rustyn’s cheek.
“Merry Christmas, Mom,” you said warmly, stepping aside so Drew could greet her.
Drew leaned in to give her a quick hug, careful not to jostle the baby carrier.
“Merry Christmas! We’ve been looking forward to this all month.”
“And so have we,” your mom replied, beaming.
“Oh, come in, come in! It’s freezing out there.”
As you stepped inside, the warmth of the house enveloped you, and the sound of laughter and holiday music made your heart swell.
Drew’s family was already mingling with yours, chatting as if they’d known each other forever. It was exactly what you had envisioned when you and Drew decided to bring both families together for Christmas this year.
Your dad approached, his smile wide as he greeted Drew with a handshake that quickly turned into a hug.
“There’s my son-in-law! And my grandson,” he said, his voice filled with pride.
He leaned down to make funny faces at Rustyn, who responded with an excited giggle.
“Say hi to Grandpa,”
Drew said, gently lifting one of Rustyn’s tiny hands to wave. Your dad’s laughter echoed through the room, and you couldn’t help but smile at the sweet interaction between them.
After everyone had exchanged warm greetings, you and Drew found yourselves in the living room, where the Christmas tree stood tall and sparkling. Its ornaments glimmered and a stack of presents was piled neatly underneath.
Brooke, Drew’s sister, knelt down beside you with a brightly wrapped box in her hands.
“This one’s for Rustyn,” she said, her eyes twinkling.
“Oh, how exciting!”
You exclaimed, settling Rustyn on your lap so he could reach for the present. Though only six months old, his chubby hands eagerly grabbed at the wrapping paper, his face lighting up with a toothless grin.
“You’ve got this, buddy,”
Drew encouraged, leaning over to help tear a small piece of the paper.
Rustyn squealed in delight as the gift was revealed; a soft, plush dragon. You gasped dramatically, holding it up for him.
“Look at this, Rustyn! Your first dragon! Say thank you to Aunty Brooke.”
Drew chuckled.
“He’s going to love that. I can already tell.”
“Speaking of gifts,”
Drew added, standing up to retrieve a bag from under the tree,
“Rustyn has a little something for everyone, too.”
He began handing out small, thoughtfully wrapped presents you had both prepared. Each gift had been chosen with care, personalized ornaments for the grandparents, matching scarves for the aunts and uncles, and even a little handmade card from Rustyn (with your help, of course).
The room is now fill with nothing but with laughter and gratitude as the gifts were opened.
Soon, the smell of roasted turkey and warm bread wafted in from the dining room. Everyone gathered around the beautifully set table, the centerpiece adorned with holly and candles. Drew helped you into your seat before settling into his own, Rustyn still securely strapped in his baby carrier.
As plates were passed and glasses were raised, Rustyn began to fuss, his face scrunching up as he let out a small cry.
“Oops, someone’s hungry,”
Your mom observed with a gentle smile.
You started to rise from your seat, but Drew placed a hand on your arm, his voice calm and reassuring.
“Babe, I’ve got this. You eat, I’ll calm him down.”
You shook your head with a soft smile.
“No, it’s okay. I’ll feed him. You should enjoy your food too.”
Drew nodded, helping you unbuckle the baby carrier. He handed Rustyn over carefully, his fingers brushing against yours in a way that made your heart flutter.
“Let me at least save your plate,” he said, his eyes warm.
You carried Rustyn to the living room, where the lights were softer and the atmosphere quieter which really help Rustyn calm down.
Sitting on the couch, you cradled him in your arms as you began nursing. The soft light of the Christmas tree lit the room, and the crackle sound of the fireplace added to the cozy ambiance.
About fifteen minutes later, Drew appeared in the doorway, holding your plate, now freshly refilled with warm food. A glass of warm water was balanced in his other hand.
“You didn’t think I’d let you miss Christmas dinner, did you?”
He teased, a playful grin on his face. He plopped down on the floor in front of you, crossing his legs and setting the plate on his lap.
“Now, open up.”
You laughed, shaking your head.
“You’re ridiculous.”
“Ridiculously in love with you,”
He countered, spearing a piece of turkey with his fork and holding it up to your lips.
You rolled your eyes but leaned forward to take a bite.
“You know, I could’ve waited until later.”
“And miss the chance to pamper my wife? Never,” he said, leaning forward to kiss your forehead.
Rustyn, now full and content, gave a soft coo, his tiny fingers clutching at the fabric of your sweater. You glanced down at him, your heart swelling with love, before looking back at Drew.
“I think you’re spoiling us both,” you murmured.
Drew’s grin softened into something more tender.
“You two deserve it. Every bit of it.”
After dinner and more chit chat, the family gathered once again in the living room, this time for games and stories. Rustyn, now awake and in a playful mood, was passed around from grandparent to grandparent, each one marveling at his tiny hands and infectious smile.
Brooke pulled out her phone to snap a picture of Drew holding Rustyn, who was tugging at the festive Santa hat on Drew’s head.
“That’s definitely going on the family Christmas card,” she said, laughing.
By the evening, Rustyn had fallen asleep in Drew’s arms, his little head resting against Drew’s chest. You sat beside them on the couch, your head leaning against Drew’s shoulder as you watched the twinkling lights of the tree.
“Merry Christmas, Drew,” you whispered, your voice soft with emotion.
He turned his head, pressing a kiss to your temple.
“Merry Christmas, Y/N. I don’t think it gets better than this.”
Tears pricked your eyes as you reached for his hand.
“Thank you, for being such an amazing husband. And an amazing dad.”
He squeezed your hand, his gaze dropping to Rustyn’s peaceful face.
“Thank you for making me both.”
Drew tilted your chin up, capturing your lips in a kiss filled with all the love and promises of the years to come.

hurt comfort of a villain with abandonment issues x a hero who comforts and helps them
“Should you be looking at me like that?” the villain whispered with two of their delicate fingers holding up the hero’s chin. Their lips brushed the hero’s jawline sweetly, but the hero didn’t swallow the bait.
“Should you be moving your arm?” the hero asked back and the villain nearly mistook their concern for actual frustration. Without a second thought, the hero tightened the sling around the villain’s neck and glared.
Of course it hurt. Every move hurt. The villain’s clavicle was very far away from being healthy but they couldn’t help it. Being close to the hero was like a drug.
When they were with them, they couldn’t think properly. They couldn’t make rational decisions. They couldn’t concentrate on the pain.
It was like the hero was a saint who’d been sent to the villain. Their own personal caretaker, their own savior. That was obviously ludicrous. Attaching themselves to the hero was one of their greatest failures in life - after all this was about the both of them and power. It had nothing to do with personal feelings and it didn't leave room for any kind of personal relationship. Not the kind the villain craved, at least.
"Do I have to remind you that you shouldn't help the enemy?"
"You think you are my enemy?" the hero asked.
"Your agency thinks that."
The hero scoffed.
"Do I look like I care much about them?"
"You're so grumpy today," the villain whispered. Immediately, the hero's gaze softened.
"I'm sorry, I…I was worried. Am. I am worried about you. I want you to heal." The hero took another look at the villain's shoulder, then at their arm. The villain could tell they were tired.
"I never meant to make you worry. Please, if I am troubling you or-"
"You are not," the hero said. They looked up at the villain and smiled softly. "I am not really sure where this is leading to. I am thinking too much."
"What do you mean?" The villain could feel their cheeks heat up. It must have been too much for the hero. Too close. Too intimate. The villain could tell their enemy was going to leave, it was only rational - they had licked each other's wounds, had even shared a kiss. It was only a matter of time.
They couldn't breathe.
They couldn't think.
They weren't really anyone without the hero, were they? They wanted to throw up.
"I can change," they said quickly. "I promise, I can change for you."
The hero frowned.
"Huh?"
"I…" The villain heard their own heartbeat. "I mean it, whatever you want, I can give up the whole criminal thing, I will stop being so lazy, I promise I can do more, I can change for you."
They felt like throwing up. Why was this always happening to them? Were they really this rotten creature no one could stand? Were they really this horrible human being?
They knew they had made mistakes in the past and they knew being a criminal was not exactly…noble. But it paid the bills.
God, was the villain really such a nightmare? Nightmarish enough to be brought back to the orphanage over and over again, disgusting enough to be left to die, horrible enough to be betrayed.
"Okay, listen." The hero's eyes were wide, attentive. They pressed their right hand against the villain's chest, right where their heart was. The other found a place on the villain's torso. "I am not going anywhere. What I meant is that I am not sure how our relationship is developing. I don't want us to tiptoe around each other. I want us to be together."
The villain stared at them, their own eyes widening. They blinked.
"You can be so blunt…"
"You love that about me, don't you?" The hero pressed a soft kiss to their jaw and the villain's heart started to calm down gently. The hero really was a saint. So easily. They did it so easily. "Come on, I'll make breakfast and you rest some more."
