marc being soo lonely and unpopular is my roman empire. you're telling me he's really just a weird kid with no friends, his best friend is his brother? my heart breaks for him. and he's had so many highs and lows in his career and the only one who Really understands is vale but vale won't talk to him and is also the one who made his loneliness a lot worse? turned everyone and especially the media against him.. vale's kids hate marc even though they're too young to fully grasp their history! vale has sooo much work to do after the reunion... getting his boys to like marc and be nice to him, being there for marc again. getting marc to trust him again! no marc, you don't have to deal with everything all by yourself anymore! something is bothering you? talk to me about it i'm here for you! it'll be so worth it though, can you imagine marc finally coming out of his shell again, comfortable to be himself again, still a bit disbelieving that all of those people are his Friends now? he's not alone anymore?? i think about this daily

i love nice things for marc so it is fun to imagine vale looping him in on his abundance of community and that being very healing for both of them... marc IS a pretty isolated dude as a result of being like. ruthlessly competitive and a prodigy and his crazy schedule etc we've all seen it. that being said. i do wonder about that boy's social skills bc vale has a lot of similar traits/life experiences and has like half the grid convinced he's their daddy.

Zack is so fun as a character bc when it comes to his relationships, whether the nature is romantic or platonic it still works. The chemistry is so fire, the feelings of love and care are sincere. Zack loves the people in his life, the people loves him back. Whether they're similar to him in personality or complete opposites — it still hits off. Zack and Aerith? The OG, first love forreal. I used to be disgusted at the fact that rich women were the exception to ridicule of having babies out of wedlock due to their financial status. Single motherhood is always made adjacent to "being broke". So when a woman is financially stable, people who aren't themselves seem to not care about them not having a husband. It's similar to how folks don't care about rich men being deadbeats, because apparently children needing active father figures in their home suddenly doesn't matter if their wealthy daddies can afford to pay a significant amount of child support.

But the way that the Black community is currently so obsessed w/ tearing down Keke, Halle & Skai, I see that the true exception is being rich and still in a relationship with the child(ren)'s father - regardless of how triflin he may be. I do acknowledge that things would be extremely different if they weren't as public w/ their relationships to begin with (especially the men in these situations bc my gosh have they been embarrassing 🤦🏾‍♀️), but it really sucks to see that women's relationship statuses and our proximity to men in general still matters this much to people.

also i was pulling out my old spreadsheets to look for those vault facts and heres another fucking insane one that i found in a DIFFERENT spreadsheet. I once made a spreadsheet cataloguing what players had the most stars (just pitching for rotation, just batting for lineup) by season, and found that across 24 seasons there were 17 different players in the top half star.

predictably enough, the crabs were 1) the ONLY team to have more than one player ranking in the top half star on their active roster at once: crabs (nagomi mcdaniel and axel trololol, s7 and 8). and 2) the team with players ranking in the top half star on their active roster for the most consecutive seasons: crabs (4 in a row, s6–9) (the most anyone else has is 2)

but what surprised me was this: the team that had the most seasons with a player ranking in the top half star on their roster, AND the team who had the most different players ranking in the top half star? THE FRIDAYS. we had 5 different seasons where a player on our roster ranked in the top half star on our roster (beating the crabs by 1), and we had THREE different players who ranked in the top half star at the time they were on our roster (york silk, nagomi mcdaniel, and beck whitney). which is insane because the most anyone else has is 2.

soooo i think the interview went well?? it was kinda odd lol we went for a walk outside and he just asked me which historical period i'm most interested in and why etc. And bc I was super panicky i rambled not very eloquently lmao but at some point i said that i was also very interested in historical women's movement and he went really hard on this and even brought up internet tradwives lol

but theeen there was this "test" and it was a book for teaching kids to read that was printed in 1941 and still used in the 50s and he asked me what was weird about the book and it took me ages AAAGESSS to realize that the first two pages were missing (they were taken out very cleanly and the whole book was coming apart so it wasnt obvious if you didnt look AT THE FRIGGIN PAGE NUMBER) and i looked at the table of contents and it would have been a chapter about "our Führer Hitler" so OFC they took that out in the 50s but the book still had a lot of nazi stuff in it anways. ughh but it was so embarassing bc stuff like that i would normally notice in seconds when im not panicking but my body just loves to fuck me up.

Anyways he loved the pic i brought and he said that he doesnt know why but he really liked my application (my guess is that i combined the colours and the layout/font very nicely hehe) and it sounded like i'm very likely gonna get the job. he even started talking about how i could write a publication about this project and how i should become a professor and infiltrate the uni with feminism??? and i just thought CHILLL dudeee i'm 2nd semester i dont know SHIIITTT.

idk i'm glad it went well ofc and i know i have to get a job at some point and this seems perfect but yeeeah i'm scared af. if my body doesnt at some point stop panicking in these situations i'm completely incapable of actually working on stuff in a concentrated and thorough manner.
