I have been isolating due to spending some much wanted time with my sister, who tested positive for COVID two days later.

I'm testing out negative and per my doctor am now clear to reenter the hospital with a good mask, and while I would rather not, nobody else is widely available to visit him and get updates on his care as my nephew works his ass off to provide for his kids and my sister and her family don't live in town and also have to work.

I'm still upset and worried because I love my dad, and it's...I'm not even up there much and it's hard. I have hospital trauma (not at this one which smells and looks super different thank god, even if it has worse vibes generally) so every minute I spend there is grating and horrible and I'm afraid every night that this will be the night I'll start having nightmares.

But he isn't at imminent risk of demise and will be going home. And I'm going to record him telling every batshit story I can including the time his boss was assassinated by the Irish Mafia.
