A whole bunch of Mario AUs because I love combining my interests :]
Made these Deltarune dark world designs awhile ago
Tumblr media
I have been getting sucked back into Ace Attorney (currently playing through The Great Ace Attorney teehee), but made an au based on the original trilogy. Peach as Phoenix, Mario as Mia, Luigi as Maya, Peasley as Edgeworth, and Cackletta as Von Karma. I didn’t draw him but Fawful would be in Franziska’s place
Tumblr media
Dungeon Meshi!! This anime is so frickin good that I went and read the manga cuz I couldn’t wait for the next season. Mario as Laios, Luigi as Falin, Peach as Marcille, Toad as Senshi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wario as Chilchuck, Peasley as Shuro, Toadette as Namari, Yoshi kid as Izutsumi, Dimentio as Thistle, Geno as Kabru, and Rosalina as Mithrun
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok these next sketches have spoilers for stuff near the end of the series, so if you’re an anime-only and don’t want spoilers DONT LOOK. Spoiler wall GO

to the beautiful writers that might see this, ao3 is currently being scrapped by an AI company called RIVD. this isn't your usual AI text scrapping, they are specifically targeting ao3 to feed their own AI / "tech-orientes" fanfiction site
their "takedown form" demands that you give them your full legal name and address. they do not say what they're doing with your personal details. there's no proof that this form works
until ao3 comes out with a proper statement or manages to lock their scrapped, just lock your fics for registered users

DPxDC Prompt
Tim calls out to the man ahead of him "phantom."
Danny turns in surprise while in human form "how'd you know?"
Tim smirks "I'm not the worlds second greatest detective for nothing"
Danny chuckles "so modest, who's the first? batman?"
Tim rolls his eyes "he wishes, it's detective chimp"
Danny buffers "who?"

Radioactive Hero (but not really) au
Danny moves to Gotham, hear him out! There's really good jobs there that pay through the nose and the cost of living is cheap!
Plus, the city is riddled with heroes and vilains! It's so easy to slip under the radar!
Unfortunately, there are so many civilian casualties. Like, all the time. Even in Metropolis!
So Danny, for his first year in Gotham, opens small portals to the Far Frozen and gets schooled on being a field medic. None of his powers can really be used for healing, but they can make people feel better. He just has to be careful to be as far removed from the Phantom moniker as possible, so he can't use any obvious powers.
He gets a bit of a reputation in Gotham; a small time hero of the people, for the people. A hero not invested in fighting, but in dragging civilians away from the danger. He doesn't even have a moniker; people are too busy arguing over the best one for him.
So while aliens are attacking both Metropolis and Gotham, Danny is out in full kit; a gas mask to hide his face, all black, repurposed kevlar from the vests the GCPD did not properly dispose of, no identifying markers.
But one of the clean up crews notices something insanely worrying; the geiger counter they have to point at alien spaceship parts? Yeah. Yeah, it's going off when they point it at the new small-time hero.
That hero's power is radioactivity. Holy shit. It's not at a level that will hurt people, but when he's dodging through fighting the level goes up.
The clean up crew concludes and shares via Twitter that the medic-hero is only a danger to others if he gets too stressed.
Word spreads fast, and pretty soon the absolute second Danny shows up on a scene, all fighting stops.
After all, no one wants to piss off the living Nuclear Bomb.
Basically, Danny's ghost-everything sets off Geiger counters, and now absolutely everyone is convinced that the medic-themed hero only refuses to fight because his meta power is just...being radioactive.
But he isn't.
So now, because it's the perfect cover and completely disassociated from Phantom, he has to play along and pretend like yes; that is his power.

I like to imagine that Senshi isn't acting that different as an Elf, its just coming across different bevause of his looks.
I like to imagine this is how other Dwarves see him, a delicate pretty boy. It's just other races can't read Dwarf body language that well.
Then he's an elf and suddenly they see his mannerisms in a different light, but he's always been this way. They just didn't have Dwarf Goggles.
Like how other Half Foots instantly clock middle aged Chilchuck but everyone else thinks uwu baby

PREDATOR
This creature preys upon the infamous ALIEN, hailing from the very same ecosystem. As such it is immune to its acidic blood and can’t be used as a host, any facehugger that tried would be summarily eaten (eggs stay closed in its presence). This predator is also a parasite, but humans are much too small for it, the ideal hosts being anything larger than a polar bear or rhinoceros, though it will still prey upon us. It is somewhat specialized for entering Alien hives, using its larger size to block tunnels and restrict movement, perfectly able to defend both its front and behind with claws, jaws, spines, and two sharpened tails that automatically strike at sounds - as well as its own acidic blood. Scenting one of these within the hive can cause the Alien Queen to detach from her throne and enter seek-and-destroy mode.

Another worldbuilding application of the "two layer rule": To create a culture while avoiding The Planet Of Hats (the thing where a people only have one thing going for them, like "everyone wears a silly hat"): You only need two hats.
Try picking two random flat culture ideas and combine them, see how they interact. Let's say taking the Proud Warrior Race - people who are all about glory in battle and feats of strength, whose songs and ballads are about heroes in battle and whose education consists of combat and military tactics. Throw in another element: Living in diaspora. Suddenly you've got a whole more interesting dynamic going on - how did a people like this end up cast out of their old native land? How do they feel about it? How do they make a living now - as guards, mercenaries? How do their non-combatants live? Were they always warrior people, or did they become fighters out of necessity to fend for themselves in the lands of strangers? How do the peoples of these lands regard them?
Like I'm not shitting, it's literally that easy. You can avoid writing an one-dimensional culture just by adding another equally flat element, and the third dimension appears on its own just like that. And while one of the features can be location/climate, you can also combine two of those with each other.
Let's take a pretty standard Fantasy Race Biome: The forest people. Their job is the forest. They live there, hunt there, forage there, they have an obnoxious amount of sayings that somehow refer to trees, woods, or forests. Very high chance of being elves. And then a second common stock Fantasy Biome People: The Grim Cold North. Everything is bleak and grim up there. People are hardy and harsh, "frostbite because the climate hates you" and "stabbed because your neighbour hates you" are the most common causes of death. People are either completely humourless or have a horrifyingly dark, morbid sense of humour. They might find it funny that you genuinely can't tell which one.
Now combine them: Grim Cold Bleak Forest People. The summer lasts about 15 minutes and these people know every single type of berry, mushroom and herb that's edible in any fathomable way. You're not sure if they're joking about occasionally resorting to eating tree bark to survive the long dark winter. Not a warrior people, but very skilled in disappearing into the forest and picking off would-be invaders one by one. Once they fuck off into the woods you won't find them unless they want to be found.
You know, Finland.

Vlad was injured by the GIW, and fled through a random experimental portal they had. He landed outside a smoking warehouse in Ethiopia, next to a dying child.
The kid was beat to hell and back, and worse off than Vlad himself.
There was a clown, ducking into a car, covered in the kids blood.
Vlad, desperate for an outlet for his anger at being stupid enough to be caught by the GIW, immediately turns around and hunts the man down.
By the time he's done with the clown, he's even eaten the man's newly formed ghost, permanently ending the threat.
Which leads to his current predicament; the dying kid is still dying, and he's calmed down enough to know he would feel bad later about letting some random kid die like this.
Luckily, he saw some ninjas while he was killing the clown, and after a short conversation, they agree to take the boy.
Vlad feels accomplished.
After all, what child wouldn't want to be raised by ninjas?
Meanwhile, Jason, delirious from pain and smoke inhalation, thinks he saw Batman murder the Joker and then turn around and sell him to Ra's Al Ghul (Vlad in his ghost form has pointy things on his head, and Jason was so fucked up he thought it was the cowl).
Jason's still fucked up and pissed when he comes back, but for entirely different reasons.
