Elf On The Shelf. Our elf came last night. He came with a letter from Santa inside a personal mailbox for Mason. Mason named him Jameson. And tonight even the Mason had a rocky day he was so good tonight while I took care of his cranky baby sister. So Jameson left him a cupcake because he was proud of Mason. And ended the night playing with Pooh Bear and his friends.

What do you wish you could tell your former self? I was at my daughters Christmas concert tonight and found myself sitting beside a lady with two young children. She was clearly stressed trying to keep them entertained and quiet 🤫 I can very clearly remember those times when my kids were little. I was frustrated, exhausted, and mostly felt like I was failing at my vision of being the perfect mom. I wish I could go back and tell myself to just enjoy the moments because they don’t last. I would tell myself to focus on loving them and not to worry so much! (Excuse the red demon eyes😂) So why do we as parents think we always need to get the new hip toys that come out every year? We would spend hundreds on our kids so they could have the best Christmas! When in reality they are good with the most simplest of things. I buy a new toy for Lilly. She will hold it and toss it. Give her a bag of wipes and she’s good for an hour. Buy Mason a new toy yes hell play with it for a day…the next day it will be obsolete. So why must we always worry ourselves about never buying them enough for Christmas? I do want my kids to have the best Christmas that they can ever have…. I’m just not going to waste money on things that will be played with once and then placed in the dark abyss called a closet or the never return black hole that lurks under beds. I mean I can buy Mason a bag of rocks for Christmas and he’d be so much excited that he can paint them all and go out and hide them. It will be a good Christmas. The best yet. Just with a lil less worry. Lol.
