Thinking about Sam waking up in his past body from the pilot, on November 2nd before Jess died.

Sam evaluate the situation, until he realize that Jessica was going to die tonight, but she didn’t yet. She is still alive. And Azazel killed her because he wanted Sam to go back on the hunter’s life.

So when the car scene comes up, where Sam originally tells Dean that he can’t help him any longer because he needs to be back to Stanford on Monday, Sam decides to change things.

This time, he will tell Dean that he won’t go back to Stanford, that he wants to stay with him again and hunt by his side so they could find their dad together.

“You keep on giggling.”

You stop momentarily when you hear Diluc speak. You’re a little surprised that he’s there—that’s he’s so close, and archons, you didn’t even hear him—but also pleased, because yes. Diluc’s here!

“Oh, hi!” You smile up at him, even if he won’t return it back. “I was just looking at pictures.”

“Pictures of what?” The man asks. You feel your heart revel in delight – that only means that Diluc is making conversation, and if he’s making conversation, then he has time to talk with you.

“Owls,” You answer, before lifting the album to show the cover to him. It’s hilariously entitled ‘Owl You Can See: The Album.’ “The designers sure had their fun making this!”

Diluc scrutinizes the book. You can easily notice how he’s intrigued. He is a bird person, after all, since you remember him telling you facts about his falcon.

“I suppose.” What a short answer, yet you’re satisfied with it anyway.

You motion for him to take it. “Give it a look, I’m sure you’ll love the shots they took. The photographer is incredibly talented, and obviously, has a little bit of humor! I recommend you check page four first, because it’s a cute photo of an owl perched on a branch!”

Diluc obliges, before making his own comment. “It’s. . . preparing for a strike.” He glances at you, a little bewildered. As if he’s unsure if he’s going to say it. “This is endearing to you?”

Your smile widens. You totally understand his confusion. “Well. It reminds me of something, so. . .”

You wish he’ll soon notice your implications. But even if he’s still oblivious—with the way he scrunches his eyebrows, trying to make sense of it all—you’ll still love this man, no matter what.

“Of something? A predatory creature, that lurks into the night reminds you of something? Shouldn’t this terrify you?”

You giggle again. Oh, Diluc. “Owls can be gentle creatures too, you know. They can be sweet. And cute!”

Diluc remains confused, but he won’t disagree with you. “. . .Alright.” He dips his head down to examine more of the pages. “If you say so.”

And you think that’s the end of it, when Diluc goes silent, seemingly immersed with the pictures, until he speaks once more.

“I have so many questions.” Diluc begins, and meets your eyes. Your chest flutters. “When did you interact with an owl? What did it do to make you love the species? Was- no, the owl tamed? It didn’t attack you? Where were you when you saw it?”

You sigh lovingly in the back of your mind. There it is. The bird person spilling out—this is only the side of him that you’ll only get to see.

And since you’re such a nice friend, you reply to each one by one ( of course, happily! ) to satiate his curiosity.

i'm finally finishing up my s2 rewatch and getting to the 24th episode awoke a beast in me. so i wanted to make a fake screenshot based on some of their lore that takes place during that episode. i think they'd end up having a heart-to-heart moment since kuroba went through similar struggles after their grandfather's own hospitalization...
