Non-witchy life tip: get a dvd player and a library card. Streaming services are so wishy-washy and half the time you need an extra subscription to get the good movies and shows anyways.
You can usually find some dvd players in pretty damn good condition at your local thrift stores. You can also find good movies there :>
My library has movies you can check out, and as far as I know most other libraries do.
So go get a dvd player.
And a library card.

How to make the best mashed potatoes ever:
1. Boil potatoes, drain water
2. Mash
3. Put in butter according to taste
4. Pour in HOT milk (NOT cold, NOT luke-warm - it has to be HOT), and more than you think (ie more than a splash)
5. Mash more / whisk around in it with a fork or something
6. Put in spices according to taste (I like some white peppar and maybe some grated, strong cheese), but listen, the important step is #4. You can do whatever you want with the rest but DO NOT SKIP THE HOT MILK. THE HOT MILK IS CRUCIAL. It will make all the difference, I promise. You will get a lovely fluffy mashed potatoes instead of a blob of glue. Just. Do the hot milk. Promise me.

Pro tip for befriending writers: Help us with the weird shit. Meeting up for coffee is nice and all, but if you offer to spot me while I practice collapsing in different ways for my WIP, you'll literally be my person, no questions asked. Listen to me talk about all the random and oddly specific things I've learned through my research? Best friends. Let me use you as a human Barbie doll to visualise my scene? I will die for you.

Life tip: Date the birthday, holiday, etc. cards you give to people!
I started doing this after my dad wondered what year he got cards from, what birthday it was, and so on. It makes it more special when people are able to trace back what year that card was given.

You are allowed to do something without being an expert. You are allowed to start an amateur podcast. You may be a beginner writer or poet.
You can do anything. You don't have to begin with expensive equipment and years of experience. That will all come later.
Just watch famous YouTubers first videos and see how much they've grown. That can be you too.

Small tip for activism, or project managing in general:
know the limits, you have limited amount of time, and if you are not available to do something properly, just don't. In those kind of things you prefer someone who can take it to the end. Don't take too much or everything will fail.

Do you have any words of advice for leo's in 2023?
I try to maintain what I like to call the "Tiny Baby" mentality.
It is hard, because it is a philosophy that is often not followed by adults, and as a general rule, you do not have to follow adult rules.
But it is a philosophy: the goal is to make decisions you care about, and not to worry about what anyone else will think.
That sounds easy, but sometimes it is easy to be too involved in one aspect and not pay attention to other things.
