A cozy and laid back MMO game where instead of the usual battle classes, the classes are all about crafting, gathering or selling products or services. All the combat classes that would normally be available to players (paladins, archers, wizards, etc) are only available to npcs.

You can choose a crafting related occupation, such as the artisan class, and then pick a certain subclass and become a blacksmith or a tailor, or the catering class and become a baker or a chef or open a small café. In order to avoid unfair competition, when setting the price of a product there would a be a minimum and maximum price range for every product. You can also open a shop to sell your wares directly to customers, as well as hire npcs to help you gather resources or to manage the shop while you are away/not playing, although you will need to pay them a fair wage and they'll get a day off a week.

If you'd rather go for a gathering class you can become a miner, woodcutter, farmer, angler, etc, and sell your produce to shops and merchants. Since some of those occupations would require you to abandon the city to gather materials, if you intend to go to a dangerous area you can hire adventurer npcs to act as your guards, or if you want to venture into an unknown area, you could spend money in a map, or pay a cartographer to chart a map for you.

And if you wish for a more adventurous occupation that allows you to travel through the world, you could always pick jobs such as mail carrier, merchant, archeologist, cartographer, etc.

Besides hiring npcs to help you run your store or act as bodyguards when you explore dangerous parts, you can also befriend and even romance and marry them, and if you cultivate a strong enough platonic or romantic relationship with an npc, they might offer you discounts, sell you rare items, gift you stuff or even offer to help you for free.

Player level is tied to the occupation of a character, if you switch to a different job you've never tried before you'll start at level 1. Whenever you get bored of a certain life, you can just switch to a different one or create another character.

Have you guys heard of the new game called InZOI from developer Krafton? It reminds me of Free City from Free Guy, or more accurately what Life Itself was supposed to be.

The developers are even working on online and multiplayer features which is super exciting to me.

It's mostly compared to a combination of Sims 5 and GTA 6

So, the Life By You trailer dropped and I could not be more excited.  I have been a long time lover of life simulation games. Since the Sims 4 dropped, it has been cleared that my beloved franchise no longer valued the relationship it had with it’s community. When even the most basic things are missing or blocked by a paywall, they just hit us with more content to purchase. 

Life By You’s trailer has shown me that there is still hope that my perfect Life Simulation game is out there.  Mod friendly is an understatement. The developers have really curated a game where you can control EVERYTHING and fully tell your own stories. 

I for sure will be preordering this! Will you?

Like it lacks the cartoonishness I enjoy in life SIM games and it's too grounded. I can't with it. It gives me the Ane sensation the uncanny valley does.

THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED

Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!

It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).

Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).

Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.

You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.

Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.

CAUTION

Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.

If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.

I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.

Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.

If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to me. I've put a lot of effort into making the installation process as smooth and straightforward as possible. Dag Dag!

A game where you run a wildlife sanctuary for magical creatures. You can build and decorate the habitats of each animal however you want (while always keeping their needs in mind). Some magical creatures have a very specific diet, so you have a small farm in the sanctuary where you cultivate the special plants you use to make their kibble. Your house is also in the wildlife sanctuary, and sometimes you cook in your kitchen the favorite dish of a creature to celebrate a special occasion. Shortly after you started the wildlife sanctuary, you started posting pictures of the animals online. Posting cute pictures of dragons and unicorns every once in a while helps to get the word out about the sanctuary. However, the wellbeing of the magical creatures is your main priority so visitor tours are very limited, which is why most of the income of the sanctuary comes from the physical and online store where you sell chimera keychains, jackalope plushies and all kinds of merchandise.

More Life Sims = A Good Thing I'm not a fan of the art style -- I'm definitely not the market for this new game -- but it's a really good thing to have multiple games in the same space! Imagine if there were only one fantasy RPG franchise game. Would as many people play it? Nope. More games in the market bring more players into the game space. Maybe some people out there will finally figure out that these are even "real games". Anyway, very excited that Life By You and Sims 5 (or whatever it's called right now) and the Paralives game are all upcoming. Even if there's a high chance I might just keep living with my adorable Sims 4 Sims and their full pack suite for a very long time after.

This brand new life simulation game developed by Paradox Tectonic has just released an Official Trailer, a pre-order page at Epic Games Store, screenshots & concept art!

Early Access will be starting on September 12, 2023 and pre-orders are available from today! The first 100k people who pre-order will be invited to join a private Discord channel to ask questions directly to the team behind the game.

Earlier today the developers had a 20 min long livestream where they went over some of the ideas behind the game and what to expect from the early access period. Rod Humble, general manager at the studio, that has previously worked on The Sims 2 & The Sims 3  was there to introduce us to the game. 

The game itself seems to be extremely customizable with a big focus on player control and openess. Color wheels, scripting objects in game, dialog editor, no loading screens or rabbit holes etc!

More news will be arriving in the coming months!
