What type of music would the counselors listen to?

I know some of my mutuals have answered this question before and I'm sure my headcanons will be influenced by theirs, AND I'm also significantly older than the counselors so they're probably listening to gen z stuff my late millennial ass doesn't even know about but here goes nothing!

Laura So much SIØBHAN! Just kidding. Laura feels like two completely different characters in the game so I have a hard time deciding what I think spunky but straight-laced, ‘this is my first cop,’ over-achieving pre-vet student Laura Kearney would listen to vs badass avenging murder spree Laura Kearney (but maybe she always had that inside her). Part of me wants to say, like, 80’s pop (Prince, Blondie, Tiffany, Michael Jackson, Pat Benetar, etc.) and part of me wants to put her in the hard rock/metal zone with Ryan. Maybe she’s a bit of both.

Max I believe it was Addie (@insertlovelyperson) who said Max would listen to country music where women murder their cheating or abusive husbands. That tracks to me. Maybe it's the use of Alma Cogan's version of 'Fly Me to the Moon' in the game, but I also tend to associate him with crooner type singers of the 40's and 50's (Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Dean Martin, etc), which is what I said he'd choose for karaoke. And because of this fanart I have no choice but to HC him as a major Ariana Grande fan, he's probably the one who chose the music for the drive to camp. So. Max has range.

Abi is the K-Pop/J-Pop stan to me but I know so little about that music beyond the crossover bands like BTS that I can't speak to it a whole lot. I think she'd also like some emo, pop-punk and moodier alt/pop. Avril Lavigne, Paramore, Melanie Martinez, Florence and the Machine, Metric, Lorde, Halsey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers/boygenius, etc. I feel like she's really into female fronted bands for some reason.

Jacob likes pretty much whatever is on the radio. He's a top 40 guy and has no shame about his enjoyment of Ed Sheeran and Justin Beiber, or about ugly crying to Taylor Swift and Coldplay. He rarely listens closely to the actual lyrics (and often gets them humorously wrong), he just goes on vibes. He discovers half the music he listens to via TikTok (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Emma is a theater kid through and through and loves broadway musicals. She goes through phases with each popular one. She's had a Waitress phase, a Mamma Mia phase, a Wicked phase, and a Hamilton phase, of course, and now she's into Mean Girls, Heathers, and Hadestown. Beyond that, I think she'd be a dedicated Swiftie, big Adele fan, and a lover of Britney Spears's entire body of work from the 90's through today.

Nick probably listens to stoner bro music. Like jam bands and psychedelic rock and stuff. He probably likes Dave Matthews Band and the Grateful Dead/Dark Star Orchestra, Sublime, Widespread Panic, Tame Impala, and O.A.R. Googling jam bands to remind myself which ones exist led me to the knowledge that there's an Australian psychedelic rock band called King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and that name is so bonkers that I've decided without listening to more than a few bars that it has to be Nick's favorite band.

Ryan is a little bit emo and a little bit goth and a little bit old school punk. He needs music that's loud and moody to help sort out his feelings about life and drown out all the excess noise inside his head. He's into metal, the harder side of emo/screamo, goth rock, hard rock, punk, and post-punk. He definitely listens to Nightwish, GOJIRA, Mastodon, Lacuna Coil, Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Thursday, Alkaline Trio, My Chemical Romance, AFI, Bad Religion, Black Flag, Minor Threat, The Misfits, Ramones, etc. He doesn't hate more accessible pop and rock music, but the closest he gets to choosing it for himself is probably something like The Cure or The Smashing Pumpkins or Depeche Mode, maybe some of the creepier Weeknd songs and Muse tracks too heavy to go on the Twilight soundtracks. He and Abi listen to Babymetal together.

Kaitlyn classic rock and 90's alternative. This girl likes the Stones more than the Beatles, though she'll listen to both. Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Black Sabbath, the occasional hair band. She especially loves the 90's girl rockers like Alanis Morisette, Garbage, Hole, Veruca Salt, and No Doubt (Kaitlyn can't believe Gwen Stefani is married to pop-country dork Blake Shelton who sings that song about being your honey bee, because Gwen used to be so cool [I'm definitely not projecting]). I feel like she'd also love Bikini Kill and Sleater Kinney, Le Tigre, and The Donnas.

Dylan is the Music Guy ™ (and my personal bias/url namesake), so I've admittedly thought about his musical tastes more than most of the others'. The official Quarry website mentions his 'deep musical knowledge' and I imagine he has pretty broad views on what constitutes good music. He's got kind of a vintage vibe to him, maybe it's the reproduction band shirt from 1988, or the fact that he's into analog technology, or both, but I've noticed he's often depicted playing Queen or Bowie or something of that era in fics, which I think is realistic. This kid goes to the used record store and just buys whatever looks cool.

Fun Fact: According to the datamine, the chapters originally had literary or musical quotes at the beginning of each, and Chapter 5: White Noise (the radio hut chapter) was originally headed by the opening lyrics from Queen's 'Radio Ga Ga':

He's also the only character we see play music in canon, so we know he likes... songs from random compilation albums with inexpensive royalties. XD Just kidding, but these are the diegetic (in-universe) songs we get to hear from Dylan's playlist at the bonfire party:

All pop music of varying subtypes, so we know he appreciates a well-crafted pop song. I honestly am a fan of all of these. I think Dylan genuinely listens to everything but he seems like the type to especially like alt and indie pop, classic rock, garage rock, a bit of the more melodic side of punk, emo, and pop-punk, new wave, synth pop, electronic, and a little bit of hip hop that’s sufficiently nerdy white boy friendly (probably Beastie Boys, Run the Jewels, Post Malone, emo rap like Blackbear, etc). I also tend to gravitate towards early-mid aughts indie for him, like MGMT, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, OK Go, LCD Soundsystem, etc. Just seems to match his vibe. I think he'd really like BØRNS, Hozier, COIN, Mitski, and K.Flay and probably have a fair amount of overlap with Ryan's more melodic picks (MCR, Muse, The Cure, etc). Dylan probably hates Morrissey but begrudgingly loves The Smiths and definitely cranks up The Killers in his car. He’s also listening to bands right now that you’ve never heard of but will be huge in a couple years. He can probably tell you the difference between subgenres like chillwave, dream pop, and shoegaze but don’t ask me about it because I have no fucking clue.

Since we’re on the subject, here’s my absurdly long and ever-growing Rylan/Radioheads playlist because I have a problem.

And my Sweet Summer Jams playlist, that’s just a bunch of random songs I think would be clean enough to play at a summer camp as long as the kids/your boss don’t ask too many questions.

He’s also autistic but that’s another thing.

He probably realised he liked boys as well as girls when he was like 12 or 13. He developed a small crush on this boy at school who wore denim and leather type jackets and he thought he was so cool. He never revealed anything though because he was too shy and didn’t get along with others.

He didn’t come out until he and his sister were living with their grandparents because while living with their mum he didn’t feel safe enough to reveal that side of him. He was still a little nervous when coming out to his grandparents but he knew that they loved him no matter what.

The first person outside of his family that he came out to was Chris who reassured Ryan that he supported him and he was always here to talk. That and Chris’s support about his school and home life is why Ryan trusts him so much.

He has a few pride pins that he sticks on his jackets or bags. He also has a few pride stickers that Sarah bought him that he likes to stick on his phone case or laptop case.

I think his bi awakening was Sam Winchester in Supernatural (he enjoys supernatural and paranormal things plus Jared Padalecki was one of my big crushes as a kid so I’m including him because I love him)

He like everybody else definitely had a tiny attraction to Nick when he first met him. I just think Nick is the type who attracts a lot of people whether it’s for a long time or just a short crush. Ryan takes one look at him and is like damn he’s good looking.

His attraction to Nick doesn’t last long though because he eventually starts developing feelings for Dylan. He doesn’t like to admit it but he definitely loves those puns and jokes.

One time Jacob after finding out asked Ryan what his type is and then jokingly asked him if he was. Ryan can’t help being blunt and just said no in the most dead pan voice. Nick, Dylan and Kaitlyn who heard all laughed so hard they cried. Ryan was so confused.

All of the campers are supportive of him and Dylan’s sexualities (all the counsellors are queer tbh)

I think he had a non serious relationship with a guy before coming to camp that year due to him saying “Not exactly” to Dylan when he asks if he has a girlfriend but he’d not been feeling the relationship so broke up with him before going to camp but felt conflicted about it but he realised while at camp that he prefers Dylan’s company and has a stronger connection to Dylan.

Sarah definitely is that little sister that isn’t afraid to tease him. She probably says he’s ‘bi himself’ when he’s single and he just rolls his eyes but smiles because it’s just a little fun because she supports him and is only joking.

I think while he is attracted to both he leans more towards men.

He listens to some Queer artists.

I 100% believe that he watched Heartstopper because Dylan asked him to and he actually got really emotional over Nick’s story. He also hates Ben and Harry with a passion and is a Tori stan because he relates to her a bit.

He sometimes struggles with expressing his emotions and being open about his relationships due to his past experiences and trauma from when he was a kid so the first time he really opens up to Dylan and let’s him in is a big moment for him.

The first moment he refers to Dylan as his boyfriend to someone else he feels really content with it. Dylan is absolutely ecstatic but tries to not to get too excited because he doesn’t want to overwhelm him.

If they got married I think they’d either use both last names and hyphenate or he’d take Dylan’s. I think this because I think he’d have complicated feelings over his last name due to his relationship with his mum but also likes his last name because of its connections to his grandparents and sister. He’d be conflicted about it but Dylan would support any decision.

Him and Dylan go on double dates with Nick and Abi or Max and Laura sometimes.

They end up having a daughter when they’re older.

Do you have something against Sydney? She's been working hard for years and has done way more than Anyone But You. Have you seen her in Handmaid's Tale, especially Reality? She has serious chops and has been critically acclaimed, not to mention had several nominations. With the amount she's working, I don't think it's far fetched to say she will see greater success in the future.

If you want to discount her because she's confident in her body, or because a lot of gross men disrespect her (which is out of her control) that says more about you. Maybe her attention is amplified because these men like her (for her body), that doesn't mean that she doesn't deserve attention.

Believing that these awful men would stop behaving badly if she wasn't confident in herself and her life, that's pure misogyny. Women are objectified no matter what. It's no woman's job to diminish herself, and if she wants to post a thirst trap that's her valid choice.

Inuyasha Bad Girlfriend Guide

This is a companion piece to the bad boyfriend guide. As a Kikyō stan, I see so many fics where she is cast as the bad guy—sort of rightly—but... I’m hoping that a handy-dandy worksheet of a few more choices and why they make great bad girlfriends will free my girl from the perpetual bad guy treatment (and yup, I understand that she… in her necromanced wraith form in canon kinda deserves it.) Even so <cough>, here are some ladies for your consideration! They can do an excellent job keeping (or tearing) our OTP apart, so let’s let ‘em! (be aware here that Kagome is assumed to be the heroine in these scenarios!)

Yura: How can we not love to hate this vicious queen? She wears pieces of folded cloth as her outfit? Hell yes! Because if you’re not going tits-out in your schemes to further your personal hair fetish, are you really living? She’s mean, she’s over-the-top sexual, she collects heads like they’re trophies, and she has little personality outside of being the ho-out-to-steal-your-man. If your hero needs some terrible vapid awful-teen-movie-stereotype girlfriend, Yura is here for you. If you need someone who has no boundaries and makes your man uncomfortable? Yura is here for you.

Princess Abi: Gotta love someone with mommy issues that believes in her own superiority. She hates humans and doesn’t have time for lesser demons. Yes, fine, she’ll use them to get ahead (or help her mom get ahead), but she doesn’t mince words about those she feels are inferior to her (which is basically… everyone.) Need a snob? She will serve all your snobby needs!

Kanna: She’s an incredible practitioner of the dead-eye stare. Need someone who is so full of themselves that they don’t even deign to talk to the heroine? Well, Kanna is here for you. She can even have the nickname soul stealer because she seems to leech the very soul out of the poor man (or woman) she’s with. Add to that the looking like a doll and you have someone who is absolutely ethereally beautiful (almost to a creepy degree) and arctically cold.

Nazuna: Remember her? The human who hated demons even after one saved her life? The one who put all her trust into a dude who ended up being a spider? (We remember!) She eventually came around when poor Inuyasha turned into a human… She’s got that nice anti-demon bigotry to play with, and perhaps even a bit of the cultish attitude of “come to my temple and we can change you!” feels if needed!

Eri, Ayumi, Yuka: You date one of them, and whoops, you’re suddenly dating all three of them, because they can’t go anywhere without their best girlfriends. The vapid three are really great for name-swapping shticks (is it Eri or Yuka? nope it's Ayumi!), and can serve as a set of three-in-one mean girls to your heart’s delight! Lean into the power of three!

Ayame: Need a fiery redhead in your life? Yes? No? She seems like she would be a wonderful girlfriend except for the whole… she’s been stuck thinking about this one boy who she talked to this one time when she was younger and now compares absolutely everyone else to him. Seriously. Be ready to never stack up against the fairy tale. It’s fun while it lasts (Ayame is probably a pretty wonderful cook!), but you’re never going to be ✨Kōga✨ (the fantasy version, not to be mistaken with flesh-and-blood Kōga) so… ultimately it’ll fall apart.

Kagura: Oh what wonderful things that can be said about this queen of mean. Namely that she is powerful, she is beautiful, and she is desperately trying to escape a terrible home life. If you look like someone who will get her out of that awful situation? Congratulations! You have yourself a girlfriend! Unfortunately, this makes her cold and calculating, looking for where her next jump to farther away from her awful family will be. And lordie if this woman’s father comes looking for her…

Hitomiko: There are a lot of possibilities here! Let’s start with the tragically sick partner, who has been clinging to life and starting to fight a losing battle to an illness. You wouldn’t abandon her on death’s door, would you? Even with the sweet heroine there? The angst you can throw in with that! <chef’s kiss.> And then there’s the… “don’t do this one thing but if you do it’s going to get bad.” Sure, it was “don’t bury my head with my body” but how many other creative ways could you use this? Trigger that dark personality. The one controlled by the spider. The one that Hitomiko desperately tries to hide! The one that only happens behind closed doors! Basically don’t count this tragic priestess out.

Sara Asano: Yes, great, she is musical and can make people stop and listen to her play. But here’s the problem: she’s got that obsessive energy about her. She will follow the hero everywhere he goes, and definitely provides you with that excellent stalker vibe you might need. Would she pull a Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction and boil a bunny if someone breaks up with her? Yes she would.

Botan, Momiji: Silly silly girls, taken in by the words of a mean MILF who needs them to act as a shield between her schemes and the heroes. But what can they do for you dear writer? Well… they blindly follow what their mother says, and that means you have yourself some excellent stepsister types! Ones who are dating the noble boy because mom said so and they listen to mom. That extra bit of noble snootiness can be weaved into some great angst, especially if your heroine lacks the thing that makes one or the other snooty! These two also have the interchangeability aspect if Eri, Ayumi and Yuka are useful elsewhere!

Tsubaki: Speaking of the big old mean mommy. Here she is in the plastic-surgeried-to-look-young flesh! She’s manipulative and cunning. She is toxic and will burn everything down to get her way, and she will deceive and deceive and deceive to get ahead! Need an older woman who is pretending to be young trapping your poor hero or heroine? Well, here you are! Tsubaki the evil witch can give you all that sweet sweet old-hag power that your story needs!

Tōran, Karan, Shunran: Nothing like a good old family rivalry to make these two amazingly bad panther demon girlfriend candidates! Oops, they totally forgot to tell the hero that there has been a blood feud between their families for generations and they’ve come to collect!

Midoriko: Listen. Girl has a lot on her plate. She had to use her soul to trap the really bad demons after all. So if you are looking for that impossibly unattainable woman who seems to be able to balance a million things all at the same time while looking and being flawless? Midoriko is there for you. Problem though? She puts work above everything else. Fine, so her job is saving the world, but sometimes somebody just needs a snuggle, right? She’d also probably be that pep-talking ex, who sits down and tells the heroine to stop comparing herself to others, because she’s fabulous all on her own.

Kaguya: That type of narcissist that you could see becoming an influencer that will stop at nothing to become the top influencer in the world. She’s manipulative and powerful, and she is a weakness-seeking missile, so the hero better watch out. The more of his soul he reveals to her, the deeper into her power he will become. She definitely won’t let the breakup go, and will continue to haunt the OTP long after she’s been dumped. We don’t see this beauty enough in people’s stories!

Tsukiyomi: Beautiful, powerful, and has fallen in love with demons before. Problem is, she is absolutely stuck on her ex. She probably texts him while you are sipping wine!

Shiori: Sometimes it sucks to see your love interest with the perfect partner (can anyone tell that I am a Shiori stan?) She’s sweet and she’s smart and she’s supportive. She and the hero really do seem so completely happy together and it tears the heroine’s heart from her chest. Maybe they break up because Shiori realizes that the hero is secretly falling for the heroine, and maybe she moves away and they make the hard decision to part, but they decide to remain friends and continue to support each other. Sometimes it’s okay to have a fluffy and affable ex! And for one of those? Shiori is a great idea!

Inukimi: Lucille Bluth but a near-immortal perfectly beautiful dog demon goddess among mortals (we totally get where Sesshōmaru gets his good looks from). She probably thought of that one date with your hero as being because she was bored. Inukimi definitely likes to play with her food.

Shima: really doesn’t want to be here, but her parents forced her to behind her back. (Who the hell offers a girl to a catfish?) Problem is, she sees a convenient lie about the hero to be far better than the marriage her parents arranged for her. And that bleeding heart hero might just accept to get her out of a really bad situation! She’s a lesson: don’t trap people into relationships!

Honeki/Bone Demon: Gotta love those bait and switch ladies. This demon looks beautiful and lures men to their untimely deaths by feeding their bones to her father (who is basically all bone). Nickname her boner-killer (because clever puns are lifeblood), and make it clear she is really only after the bone and you have a dirty demon set of jokes and a heroine who can endlessly roll her eyes at a hero who is after her.

Koharu: You are too young to be trying to date these older men, young lady! Now go home and do your homework.

Sōten: I blame this headcanon entirely on @witchygirl99 and @nartista. That Sōten, the sweet thunder demon sister to the bad boyfriend brothers is a sapphic queen, who dates the hero in her journey toward being comfortable with who she is and what her sexuality is. Once she figures it out though, the relationship blazes to an abrupt and friendly end! You have the potential here for Sōten to comment on thinking the heroine is gorgeous, helping spur our hero toward his OTP!

Sango: Here’s another hard-to-make-bad girlfriend! Well, she has a tragic family history and really can’t handle trusting people but once she’s found her people, she becomes endlessly supportive. Sango fits the role of the better off friends ex-girlfriend extremely well. Hell, she’d probably be down for fake dating shenanigans to get the heroine to understand that she has a crush on the hero!

Kikyō: Yes yes, Kikyō is here. And yes, she does make a pretty great bad girlfriend. But that’s the thing about her. She’s full of so much baggage and tragedy and anger and resentment that if you’re going to thrust her into that role, she deserves the depth that her tragic priestess backstory provides her. She was burned (literally!) and betrayed! So if she’s clingy, it’s with this desperate knowledge that someone might tear the fragile balance back away from her. Give her the chance to be a broken bad girlfriend instead of the ho-in-the-way, after all, we have Yura for that!

Kaede & Rin are going unmentioned here intentionally. I’m sure that we can bend our imaginations to make them work—of course we can! But… with a most excellent list of 23+ candidates, do we really need to go there?

Quick fic recs for Nick stans because these two fics have been living in my head rent free.

Note: this fic is so good! It had big fun romcom vibes, a really fun friendship between Nick, Dylan and Jacob. I love Nick in this, a mysterious outsider that has a bunch of rumours around him and a chaotic energy but a big heart for Abi.

Into The Wilderness by Heartbranches

Before - The counselors have an ordinary summer at Hackett's Quarry, but there were little things, here and there, that in hindsight seem oddly prophetic.

After - Nick wakes up on the morning of August 23 and realizes that nothing will ever be the same, not ever again.

Note: I love this, one of my fave post-canon fics. There’s a mix of flashbacks to Nick and the other counselors during the summer with a really fun dynamic and jokes. It also explores what happens in the weeks after the game from Nick’s perspective as he deals with the guilt and confusion of him turning and the way his friend’s and Abi treat him different in the aftermath. There’s a lot of nuance (my fav word!) with the author acknowledging Nicks action weren’t his fault but did hurt them. It’s a great read!

- Rahul and Ray, the closest things I have to best friends sparing the wives. You both have always been there for me whenever I have needed you, both of your fanfics have comforted me when I was in my worst state of health, you’ve both heard me cry, laugh, stress, and you’ve used every ounce of your kindness just to exist for my comfort. I can not thank either of you enough for just being your wonderful selves, and most of all being my friends ( @quillsink and @binch-i-might-be )

- Rose, the closest thing I’ll ever have to a real little sister. Not only a very beautiful person physically, but somebody who exhibits so much light, joy and innocence from her person it’s hard not to adore her wonder. You know I love you very very much, and I adore every single conversation we have ever had, and the many to come! ( @hopeless-bisexual-queen )

- and finally Pri, Danika and Abi, three people who I have not known very long, but have stepped up to be there for me in times of need. Not only are they all absolutely hilarious, but incredibly talented and stunning with words. Pri has offered me some of the most useful pieces of advice I have ever received, Dan has such a way with comforting words you can’t help but want to hug her, and Abi has such a kindred soul you can’t help but adore her. I love all three of you very very much, and thank you for coming into my life. (And of course Abi and I now share our dog family) ( @gothicsprinkles @echo-stan I don’t think I can tag Dani but I will be sending this to her.)

I feel like I’m in the minority of non-druck stans that’s actually cautiously optimistic about this season.

I just really don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface yet. And I think there’s heaps of potential and directions this could go that would actually end up being pretty satisfying.

We’re still only 2 eps in. In wtfock S3 terms, we hadn’t even met sander yet at this point nor had we had a scene with just Robbe alone.

There’s just so much instant negativity. It’s exhausting.

Don’t get me wrong I could be totally misjudging and we could end up with a horribly unsatisfactory Kato 2.0 situation but I genuinely think Drucks smarter than that.

Firstly, Druck is not wtfock. Druck would never fuck up their season at those levels. Thats not their bag, If the germans are anything its consistent. Just from Druck's track record they always pull off an ok season even when its not their best. We have never seen druck fall flat on their face and I honestly dont think they will. Also there is so much to uncover here. I dont mind Lou as an LI but I guess I dont really buy this pairing being totally strait forward mainly because Ismail in away doesn't really know what he wants or who he is. I feel him always questioning things being uncertain and tentative. Like does he like Lou or not? Should he tell Consti how he feels or not? Is sascha the person he trust the most or not? Has he really changed his friend behaviors or not? I think a reason we feel so uncertain about this season is because he himself is uncertain. He is very wishy washy and I sorta of feel like Skam stories are coming of age stories in which finally the main is making decisions about who they are? and maybe the direction they want to head towards. Also I think a pattern I see a lot in Ismail is he is very reactive and he doesn't think about how his actions effect others. Like the time he tried to spend all the Abi committee money for the entire grade. 

Like it wasn't his money and that was for everybody but he thought cool let just take this pot and blow it with my friends. Or how he doesn't even think twice canceling on Sascha when just the other day he got burned by consti who cancelled on him and Sascha stepped in. Or the fact that he will tell consti "hey dude dont go hard tonight" but then in the next breathe he is having shots with constantin. His word has very little weight and because of that he is unreliable narrator. I think right now we keep building and building but I do think everything is going to fall apart badly. Whether Lou or Sascha are the LI I dont think it matters because this is SKAM usually when mains behave this way it usually ends in tears in hell week and they lose everyone because they finally get a rude wake up call. I feel like right now we are on a light simmer but we are building to a burning flame in which everything is gonna go to shit and I think once things get really real we will see Ismail be pushed to make real decisions about himself and how he wants to approach his friends and his life in general.

i don’t think she’d turn invitations down lol especially when normie weddings are pretty private anyway and like ya some people are gonna be like “omg is that taylor swift” at first but they’ll just think “well this is cool” and quickly get over it and it really won’t be a big deal imo. some guests are gonna want to chat with her during the reception but like everyone does that anyway so ya. and they’re like normal people not weird stans like us so they’ll act normal 😂

Also like this is a posh ass group of people. Like this isn’t a group of boys from like a council estate in Newham who rose above their stations in life or whatever. These are dudes who went to school with Daniel Radcliffe and highkey bullied him (I don’t think Frosties specifically bullied Dan because he’s older than them but Frosties were seemingly part of the popular type of crew that were down to bully Dan Radcliffe) and were/are friends with Jude Law’s stepson and ergo spent time at Jude Law’s house and the one Frostie has the Rothschild girlfriend and shit.

Like obviously it might be a bit jarring to some of the guests briefly and some might want to say hi to her or tell her how much they like her music but that also obvi happened at Abi’s wedding and Claire’s wedding and shit even Lena’s wedding idk.

Nisa tau, tau banget kl nisa bukan orang baik. Bahkan jauh dari kata baik. Apalagi soal memahami orang lain, ah buruk sekali, tidak peka (btw, nisa bukan cenayang juga si yg bisa tau isi tiap kepala orang✌🏻). Te-rus, lisan yang hmmm semoga Allah ampuni selalu. Soal ibadah juga masih payah. Apalagi soal hati, ampunnn bangett ga lulus lulus ujiannya. Dan pasti masih banyak lagi pr yang mesti dibenahin. Disisi lain juga bersyukur banget banget banget, dikelilingi orang-orang baik yang selalu support 'ayo nisa balik ke jalur lagi' & masih stay with meeh walaupun salahnya banyak. Walaupun masih berantakan yaa setidaknya masih sama orang orang baik in the right path.Seseneng itu punya orang yang tulus banget kaya kamu salah satunya nis. Ah iya, nama kita sama ya nis, anis nur hamidah (nis), anisa ratna pratiwi (nisa). Berawal dari masa masa jadi mahasiswa baru ya nis, kita melingkar di FGD tahun 2015 bertahan yaa kurang lebih 2 semester, haha kita yang suka tidur kl lagi materi, tunjuk2an kl disuruh jadi mc, kl disuruh ziyadahnya seringnya on the spot wakaka emang ya bener bener. Dan akhirnya kita pisah forum. Iyaa, pisah forum krn tiba tiba kamu bilang, 'aku mau pindah kuliah sebentar lg, aku lulus di stan' (dengan ciri khas medok jawa mu). Rasanyaaa potek sepotek poteknya bakal ditinggal jauuuuuh (bangett). Pengen ngomelin kamu, krn km gabilang dr awal kl kamu ikut tes stan. tapi lagi lagi inget kata kata mu, alasan kamu milih kampus, kamu pernah berdoa, doa mu yang masih sering terngiang-ngiang sampai sekarang 'aku mau masuk kampus yang bisa tetep ngejaga aku nis, terutama ibadah ku', ga pernah aku selemes itu ditinggal temen kecuali kamu. Abis ini siapa yang bisa ngingetin nisa lg ya kalau salah, yang kalau nasehatin tuh ngena tapi ga nyakitin. Mau ga mau yaa harus bisa jaga sendiri. People come and go dan yaaa aku gabisa nahan2 orang buat terus stay termasuk kamu nis, semua orang berhak atas pilihannya untuk bertumbuh.

Sampai dihari hari terakhir kamu di kampus, kl kamu inget, kamu tiba-tiba ngomong depan aku "kalau diibaratkan mawar, merahnya mempesona orang banyak. Tp krn adanya duri di tangkai, itu menjadikan ia terlindungi dan tetap memiliki batasan atas pesonanya." (Nyatanya, aku sendiri yg motek2in durinyaa :( maaf ya nis, harus mengulang proses menumbuhkan duri lagi.) Maa qadarullah khair.

Aku kira setelah kita berjarak kita bakal jadi orang asing yang bakal lupa satu sama lain. Tapi ternyata enga. Ga mengubah apapun, termasuk doa. Tok hanya jarak.

8 mei 2022, aku dapet chat dari kamu seneng banget dongggg, tp ternyata disitu kamu minta restu aku, speechless, gabisa jawab apapa. Aku pending sehari buat jawab wa mu. Dan yak oke, di hari bahagia kamu aku harus ada buat kamu, apapun yang penting buat kamu lah nis, dimanapun kamu, aku samperin. Cailaah wakaka, tapi serius km seberharga itu buat aku.

21 mei 2022, jam 3 dini hari, setelah sekian lama ga ketemu, berisiknya aku udh kaya apa tau lari2 kecil di pelataran kamar orang buat nyamperin kamu wakaka Gabisa dideskripsiin rasanya kaya apa, akhirnya ketemu km setelah sekian tahun lamanya, ea~ Terus nih ya nis, setelah aku dengar cerita dari ibu, tante, dan keluarga mu yg lain tentang mas mu & proses kalian gimana ditambah bisa gandeng kamu menuju mas mu itu rasanya adem & legaa banget. MaasyaAllah. Terimakasih anis dari awal kenal anis, aku belajar banget, soal mendengar apa yang tidak terucap, membaca apa yg tidak tertulis, juga soal jaga hati, apalagi soal ibadah. Emang yaa, "waktu" tuh teman paling jujur. Waktu yang paling bisa menjelaskan apapun. Soal niat baik, kejujuran, cara memperbaiki diri, sampai ketulusan diri sendiri dan orang lain.
