Okay sooo…. Can y’all go and watch She loves to cook and She loves to eat please?!! Because it’s just perfect. And enchanting. And calm. And full of everything a lesbian is wishing for. And it has beautiful apartments, packed with pretty little things. And friendships. And loneliness. And it has lots of cooking. And grocery shopping. And it’s funny. And also emotional. I cannot find the right words, but it is overall beautiful.
I binged season 1 last weekend and have already watched over half of the episodes of season 2 and I don’t want it to be over, so I’m going to save the last five eps for later.
Thank you @pea-green for putting it on your dash and mentioning it ‘a few times’. 😊 Yes, even in the tags of only partially related posts!!!! AND YOU ARE SO RIGHT WITH EVERYTHING. 🥹 It took me some time to finally watch it, but omg it immediately went to the top 5 of my all-time fave series.
Also, a huge thank you to @furritsubs for all the work you put into it and for making it possible for me to watch and understand it! 👍 The subs fit so well and they aren’t distracting at all.
End of bulletin. 🙃

I feel like I get to pick one thing for myself, and it's her. A weird white lady I met by happenstance.

why is religious Christmas imagery all so joyful and pleasant? where is the inherent horror of the birth of Christ? A mother is handed her newborn child, wailing and innocent. Her hands come away sticky. Red. Simply by giving her son life she has already killed him. He is doomed from the beginning. Her love will not save him from suffering. Because the thing cradled in her arms is not a baby, it is a sacrifice: born amongst the other bleating animals whose blood will one day be spilled in the name of what demands it. the night is silent with anticipation. Mary, did you know? That your womb was also a grave?
