I have what could be described as a lust for books.

I like the idea of reading and I do read consistently, but I’m in love with physical books; having them, holding them, seeing them around. I could spend hours just being in a bookstore looking at and being near books.

Not dissimilar to a lust for soup.

Binah taking care of you when you're sick and having trouble doing it yourself? No particular reason none at all

and as a side note I really like the idea of queequeg making hot fish soup, like the kind that warms your entire body

definitely no particular reason.

she's there before you wake up, having missed you during the morning shift. there's a cup of light tea waiting on the nightstand and a Librarian waiting perched on your bed, her legs neatly crossed. she smiles, just barely, when you stir, hand hovering above your back until you give her permission to start rubbing it gently. Binah's fingers carefully move up and down around your spine, her voice a quiet, gentle tone she only uses with you as she murmurs for you to not worry about a thing. she'll cover your work and take care of you. the corners of her mouth quirk up again when she hears your exhausted sigh, standing and carefully draping her heavy coat over you for warmth and weight

the last thing you register is a gentle pair of lips being pressed against your forehead as Binah gives you a tender kiss

or, on the Pequod, where sickness is considered a weakness and supplies are scarce. Queequeg still finds out, despite your attempts to play it off as nothing, the door to the cabin you're in creaking open as she approaches. there's a soft nudge against your side, rousing you as the harpooner places a strong, careful hand on your back and helps you sit up to eat. the soup is hot and filling, only lightly seasoned so you don't gag. while you're eating, slowly, Queequeg's hand raises and gently settles on top of your head, a low hum filling the room as she watches you finally eat something with a satisfied nod

for a moment, everything but you, Queequeg, and the ocean's song falls away. and everything is just fine

For my troll changeling character Faas. Just gonna infodump cuz I can, but- Numerous neurodivergent (especially autistic), ill, blind, or deformed babies, along with older children and adults with personality disorders, were abused emotionally and physically, and some even murdered, because they were exhibiting signs of being a "changeling". Faas is autistic, but that will never actually be confirmed verbally in his book. I won't say tons, but he's got a daughter named Enya (who will get a board shortly) and they live in this marshy forested area in Pennsylvania. Cottage beans.

today i once again realize even if i (with my possible new job) am working the entire time i am at work (as opposed to my now, often very relaxed responsibilities) it will be worth it because! it will be a more predictable work environment

and i will never have to be here on weekends(the evil)

so i hope i get the job
