SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 1138 OF ONE PIECE
@shishishi-sunny @wyvernslovecake @theheybarrel
I'm basically going to write what I understood from the last panel.
Tumblr media
"The First World", ended 900 years ago - beginning of the Great War and to what we call "the Void Century", and "The Second World" - 800 years ago - the end of the Void Century and the beginning of the World Government rule.
The first world was a technologically advanced world, symbolized by the factory. Humanity used the "Mother Flame" - the "forbidden sun" (represented by the balls of energy carried by the slaves) in their industry. The slaves wished upon their liberation, and from what Vegapunk told us, akuma no mi are the materialization of the wishes of humanity. So the Hito Hito no mi: model Nika came to be. A man-made God was born. The "god of earth" Pluton, a ship that moved using the energy of the Mother Flame caused the big earthquake that sank the world 200 meters (chapter 1115), and only the islands we know today remained. To survive the flood, people and animals got on the Noah ark, just like it happened on the Bible passage that inspired the manga.
I'm also curious about "Vearth", the god of earth in Skypiea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The serpent of hell can be a reference to Jormungandr or the Leviathan. Maybe in the context of One Piece it is Nerona Imu themselves. Maybe it is a former user of the Yami Yami no Mi that brought darkness and death... Maybe it is just the serpent of Skypiea.
"The god of the forest sent forth demons" - the Devil Fruit tree created an army of Devil Fruit users. "The sun merely spread the embers of war" - Nika/Joyboy/The Sun God lead that army into war, his companions of the Ancient Kingdom: Nefertari Lili, Emet, Zunisha.
"The people of the half-moon" - Kozuki and Minks? - and "the people of the moon" - Shandorans, Birkans, Skypieans? - dreamed of a new Dawn. But humanity, the alliance of the 20 kingdoms, killed the sun, Joyboy, and began their reign of terror.
The God of sea became enraged - the Mermaid Princess Poseidon, Joyboy's dear friend, brought destruction after his passing.
"They could never meet again" - Poseidon was exiled in Fishman Island and Pluton buried under Wano. What about Uranus? I don't know, maybe the Mother Flame itself is Uranus and Pluton is "just" the warship.
About the People of the Moon:
Enel's cover page story is now more important than ever. His ark Maxim is depicted on chapter 1138, since it was probably used by the first moon people to come to the blue sea. It has also been a famous theory that the first Joyboy might have been one of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who is that big Dragon in the middle of the page? I'm not sure. Is that the Forest God? I was reminded of the current Gorosei, and it vaguely looks like Markus Mars, just like the serpent resembles Ju Peter.
"The Third World" is about to end right now. It is a post-apocaliptic world where most people aren't aware of the events of the Void Century. We can see a bunch of characters that are well know to us readers and are destined to bring the End of Times and the Dawn of the New World (which we now now it's is going to be the Fourth): Luffy as Nika, Shirahoshi as Poseidon, Loki representing the Giants apparently, Emet the robot who was a companion of Joyboy, a Tontatta, a Mink, and a series of ships with what we assume have the Ancient Kingdom flag:
Tumblr media
I would like to bring attention to a character that was highlighted in a previous moment of the chapter. It looks like a Mink, but I think he is a Zoan User - Yamato in his Okuchi no Makami form, the Guardian Deity of Wano.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally the big Demon holding the Sun is Imu, next to a ship with their Holy Knights / the Navy. The world will end with the ultimate battle against the Darkness that wants to extinguish the light of the Sun. And the Sun will emerge victorious and bring a new Dawn.
The drums of liberation will play to the rythim of Nika's heart. The will of D. will be fulfilled at last.
As the late Tom would say:
Tumblr media
D. = Don = Dawn
Note: Eiichiro Oda studied about the biggest pirates and navigators in the world, which includes the Portuguese, like Fernão de Magalhães (Magellan) or Bartolomeu Dias (Bartolomeo, Bartholomew Kuma). In Portugal, when we refer to a lord or a lady, we put a D. next to their name, short for "Dom" - Sir/Lord or "Dona" - Dame/Lady. For example, Portugal's first king is called D. Afonso Henriques.
I think Oda did a play on words with Don and Dawn, meaning both the sound of a drum and the Dawn of the New World. So the D. clan are the real "lords" of the world.

On making a Welsh version of the entire story of King Arthur:
No Lancelot and No Affair. PERIOD. And absolutely no compromise or cheating on this one: you cannot turn anyone else (coughBediverecough) into a Lancelot analogue. You must sacrifice the Love Triangle completely - no "duty vs. love" drama. You're going to have make do without that conceit. You must exercise your own creativity and forge a different dramatic conflict for Arthur and Gwenhwyfar, if at all.
Supplementary to the above: Divorce is legal.
Arthur is at the forefront. Sometimes, Cai, Gwalchmai and Bedwyr is the focus of a particular adventure, but Arthur is a Man of Action, who often outdoes his own warriors. And in particular, he may not even be a King - he may even just be a military chief (Wleddig, Ameraudur or Dux Bellorum), freeing him up to rove around.
Giants, not fairies, as the primary supernatural race Camelot interacts with. Next to that, Saints and Deities come afterwards.
Note that Queen Guinevere herself is the daughter of a giant.
On the legal side: Celtic Law is Tort Law - a weregild system is at play, known as Saraad (Insult/Honor Price) and Galanas (Injury/Homicide Price). Livestock as a measure of wealth. Inheritance system is Gavelkind (although tribal politics may come into play. See Tanistry).
Emphasis on Poetry, Song and Poetic Speech. Englyns are recommended. Bards as serious authority figures.
Be liberal with the supernatural. Mystical items are always fought over and Knights have cyneddf, or mystical abilities.
The Grail Quest has to be whole sale rewritten and given a new mythos: it's either "The Raid on the Otherworld" where the story is about the capture of a mystical Cauldron (Preiddu Annwfn). AND/OR. It's the Peredur version of Perceval, involving a Severed Head instead of a Grail - Maybe its Bran the Blessed himself! - and possibly a battle with the "Nine Sorceresses"
Exceptions to the "No Affair" rule: Medraut and Melwas. The former requires commitment to Traitor!Guinevere and the latter ends with Arthur winning and taking back Guinevere, whether Melwas lives or not.
The Fall of Camelot - There 3 options for how it should unfold without Lancelot: a) defaulting towards Historia Regum Britanniae's version of events. b) the Gwenhwyfach feud. And c) Non-Traitor Medraut ending. The first, similar to the No Affair exception, requires commitment to Traitor!Guinevere. The second involves establishing Gwenhwyfach as a character in her own right. The third and last is the most difficult: the writer must concieve a sufficiently satisfying third party as an opponent for Arthur and Mordred for a tragic last stand.
No Incest. Medraut remains Arthur's Nephew.
No Villain!Morgan
Optional for the above: Iddog Cordd Prydain as an instigator for the hostilities between Arthur and Medraut
As an extention of the "No Lancelot" rule, No Lady of the Lake and No Galahad either.
Arthur assumes the throne through normal means - No Sword in the Stone or Sword from the Lake. Kings Lot and Urien are allies all they way. Excalibur/Caledfwlch is part of a set of Three Holy Weapons, the others being Rhongomyniad and Carnwennan.
Exceptions to the "No Affair" rule: Edern ap Nudd as Guinevere's lover. Highly unrecommended, either for potentially establishing a Love triangle (defeating the whole purpose of removing Lancelot) and for potentially resulting in Arthur's early, non-Camlann death.
Trystan and Essyllt potentially do not end in tragedy (Total omission of Brittany, Isolde White Hands and the Black Sails motif) (Writer's choice). Although Mark could still treacherously kill them both, ala Prose Tristan.
King Mark as potentially Conomor the Cursed.

Vulnerable
*Spoiler alert for newest OP chapters!*
Pairings! [Bottom] Figarland Shamrock x [Top] Female Reader
Warnings! This is pure smut. Reader shows Shamrock that it's okay to be vulnerable every now and then. Anal sex, anal fingering, pegging.
Note! I am incredibly nervous about posting this! So please be gentle, for i have never written this kind of smut before.
Masterlist for Shamrock-> HERE
Tumblr media
It had taken a lot to coax him into this, and he had been nervous at first, but with the pleasure that numbed his mind and made his body feel like a live wire, Shamrock found he couldn't regret agreeing to this. Your hands are soft in his skin, fingers tracing over muscles and the scars that littered his body. Your lips soft as you trailed kisses down his back. Your fingers are gentle as you work him open, a liberal amount of slick lube to ease the way.
Shamrock's brow is sweaty, the muscles in his back flexing when you press a gloved finger deep, the tip touching something inside of him that makes sparks go off behind his eyelids. He groans lowly, and you reward him with a sweet kiss between his shoulder blades. One finger slowly turns into two, and you carefully drag them along slick walls, scissoring gently for something bigger than your slim fingers.
Having Shamrock like this, so vulnerable and open under you, is a heady, intoxicating feeling. He is always so stoic, strong, and nonsensical, a pillar of strength and self-righteousness that never fails to draw your attention. So you felt honored that such a powerful man allowed himself to be so open and exposed for you.
“Such a good boy,” you praise softly and press forward again, the tips of your fingers finding his prostate, stroking over the sensitive gland and grinning at the breathy sound of pleasure that he makes at the touch. You drag the pads of your fingers against that sensitive spot over and over again, your other arm reaching around his hip to wrap your hand around his aching cock, stroking his pulsing length in time with the push and pull of your fingers.
You want him to feel good. To know that it was okay to be like this with you. Shamrock was always so uptight, hardly ever allowing himself the pleasure of relaxing, but that is where you came in.
His cock is heavy in your hand, thick and slick with precum that has bubbled free and leaked down, staining the sheets under the holy knight. You grip the base, fingers pushing against his prostate with a harshness you've yet to show him, but it just makes the redhead shake and whine under you, eyes shut right and hands clenching the blankets.
“Are you close, baby?” You ask quietly, and Shamrock jerks his head in a nod, body tight with burning arousal, but you had asked him to listen to you before this started, and he was determined to do so.
“Yes.”
His voice is breathless, ragged through clenched teeth. You him softly to yourself and kiss his back again, smiling against his sweaty skin, “Just a little more, baby, and I'll let you come, okay?”
Shamrock grunts under you, nodding his head and arching his back unconsciously when your fingers drag away from his sweet spot. He gasps when you press forward again, that harsh touch exactly what he is looking for, pads of your fingers massaging his prostate, and making his cock twitch in your other hand. You withdraw again, pulling out just enough that a third finger could join the other two, before pressing back inside.
He keens at the sudden stretch, but the burn is hardly there with how well you have prepared him. You work your fingers further inside, stroking his walls and wiggling your fingers until you feel him relax once more. Your other hand keeps up a steady pace along his cock, hand rubbing up to cup his cockhead before sliding down to gently cup his tests, rolling them in your hand before grasping his length once more.
Shamrock feels that tension builds and builds and knows that he only has so much longer before he completely bursts. He presses back into you, and you meet him halfway, fingers insistent against his prostate. Your voice is a sweet murmur in the back of his lust ridden mind.
“That's it, darling. You can come.”
You work him through the orgasm, his passage clenching like a vice around your fingers and cock throbbing in your hand as he comes with a cry, mind going pleasantly blank as his seed drips down your hand and paints the bed below. You take your time pulling away, not wanting to somehow startle the redhead that is sucking in deep breaths under you. Your fingers slip free and you carefully climb off the bed, easily finding the strap-on that you'd left on the bedside table and fixing it in place, lip tucked between your teeth when you feel the toy slide inside you and settle.
Not wanting to leave Shamrock alone, you slick the toy with a liberal amount of lube and retake your place behind the holy knight. You press forward again, fingers opening him back up with ease before you grasp the silicone length in your hand and shuffle forward, the head of the toy dragging across his rim.
“I'm going to put it in now, is that okay?” You murmur and wait for Shamrock to hiss a quiet yes before you shuffle forward.
Your hands massage his lower back, fingers digging into the muscles that tense under you as you sink inside of him. It is slow going, but you eventually are seated fully inside of your lover, the tip of the toy pressed perfectly against his sweet spot. You whine a bit, the silicone dragging along your walls and making your lower stomach tighten with pleasure.
You set a slow pace, rocking back and forth as you seek your own pleasure, brow furrowing as you begin to speed up, the tip of the toy bullying against the redhead’s prostate. He is a moaning, muscled mass below you, your hips rocking back to meet you thrust for trust, teeth digging into his lower lip hard enough to break skin. Ecstasy floods his veins, and that familiar tension begins to build within him quickly.
“Love, please,” He groans, and you nod, brow sweaty and hands gripping his hips as you piston your hips, teeth baring as you lean forward, pressing your forehead between his shoulder blades.
“I'm close, too, baby,” you whine. The toy inside you drags against your own sweet spot every now and then, pleasure bursting down you back as your rhythm begins to falter. Your nails bite into the sensitive flesh on his hips, and that tiny bit of pain is what sends him right over the edge for a second time that evening. Shamrock snarls as he comes, back arching as he pants and groans under you.
You follow right after him, pussy clenching around the toy as you rock softly back and forth, milking his prostate and prolonging his orgasm until Shamrock is begging up to stop.
“Too much,” he whines, and you slow to a stop and carefully pull away from him. You shift your hips, slowly pulling out until the toy pops free with a wet sound. You fall to the side of Shamrock, hands clumsy as you take off the harness your wear and drop the strap-on to the side, uncaring of where it lands.
Shamrock rolls over so that he can face you, wincing when his back twinges in protest. He opens his arms, and you fall forward, face smashing against his chest as you breathe in his scent. You pull away after a second, hands snaking up his chest so that you can cup his face with both hands. You lean in, pressing your lips to his own in a sweet kiss before pulling away to meet his eyes.
“Okay?” You ask softly. You hope so, for if you hurt your dear lover, you fear that it would destroy you.
Shamrock graces you with a small smile, one big hand coming up to hold one of your own, “I'm okay, my love.”
You breathe a sigh of relief and drop your head to snuggle back against him. The two of you would have to clean up soon, but for now, the both of you were content to lay side by side, sleep just on the horizon.

How is ancient dark magic different from modern dark magic? Is dark magic forbidden?
"Dark magic? Profane, divine, arcane, nonsense all. Like children we've been taught to reject what is dark and unknown, to tremble like lambs when we were meant to soar like griffins. Abandon this notion of forbidden magic, reserve it for the cowards and fools it suits best."
Dark magic has always been a contentious topic. What even constitutes dark magic is often subjective, a matter of law and tradition more than a thin but definite line to cross.
Although the Grey Tower outlaws the use of dark magic, it does not have the power to enforce such a law beyond direct reprisal against those who transgress. The most fervent abhorrers of dark magic are unsurprisingly among the holy orders, Paladins in their time have conducted many a purge against users of dark magic, but the Templar Knights and Inquisitors have taken up that torch despite their differences.
What many now consider dark magic used to be just another tool for the survival of the people of old, that have perhaps grown wicked as they developed, though some would argue not any more than any other form of magic. Ancient mages used necromancy to stave off death, to glean wisdom from the dead, to raise the dead in defense of their homes, the shamans of old made no difference between two forms of magic that allowed them to protect and guide their own.
The first time the concept of dark magic appeared in the conscious collective was aeons ago when the Harbingers, the servants of the elder gods who channeled the power of the abyss to bring about their liberation, were at the peak of their power. The harbingers' legacy has forever stained the arts they passed down as vile and maleficent.
However these more global bans on dark magic are actually fairly recent, it was the Shattered's wake that allowed these laws and principles to be codified. Before then, dark magic was reviled on principle, as a matter of course, and those who sought to extinguish it and its knowledge for good were for the most part only the most extremist and dedicated groups.
People like the Shattered have carried on research on dark magic openly and with means few could have had access to. And made something truly world-changing of it. Which also had the adverse effect of creating a lot of negative discourse about dark magic again.
The major difference between modern and ancient dark magic is that modern dark magic has regained a form of legitimacy as a field of study that it had lost because of the way its users were vilified. Until people like the Shattered, warlock cabals and witch covens had been relying mostly on traditional forms of dark magic, research never stops but there's only so much headway you can make when the better part of valor serves you best and your kind is in constant conflict. True and meaningful discoveries were few and far between.
A new approach to dark magic has allowed new ways of using that kind of magic to emerge, what exactly the Shattered created that was so revolutionary... well, that's something you'll have to discover for yourself.

Has any of the Arc's spared with Cardin since the explosion. Like I can see why Goodwitch wouldn't let Cardin fight any of them. Grimm Arc has a strong chance of "accidently" killing him. Commissar Arc has a strong chance of deliberately killing him and while Russian Arc is unlikely to kill him it would be so one sided that no one would learn anything, guy with a Tesla gun and being to old to deal with bullshit Vs a guy in metal armour
The reason why none of the Jaune's had spared with Cardin is do to him Still in the nurses office from his severe injuries. Cardin has 80% of his body burned to the crisp, as well having his entire bones shattered and broken from just being slammed to the ground. And it’s considered that Nikolai went very delicately easy on him, because to him Cardin is a fragile little cockroach that can be easily crashe underneath his boot.
but if we talking about how powerful each of Jaune’s are, it’s very simple.
Commissar Arc #3: he is very skilled Swordsman and gunslinger, his capable with every weapon that imperium has, he even knows how to use some of the Xenos weapons, which he prefer not to use at all due to him not wanting to touch the heretical technology of the Xenos. his semblance Which he considered and very believes that is the God Empress blessing, the Empress light that’s what he calls his semblance allows him to see the corruption of chaos within any men, such example a heretical inquisitor that was part of cult that was planning to destroy a industrial world, was identified by him later on executed by the Inquisition and the green Knight. The Emperor holy light grants him powers that should him from any whispers corruption of chaos making him immune to their powers, he’s only vulnerable when he’s aura is shattered. But despite everything, the commissar is still a simple mortal man, yes he very skilled in battle and in mind, but compared to the other Jaune’s he is the least powerful.
Grimm Arc #2: he is very powerful human Grimm hybrid, His powers given by the God of darkness, allows him to control and create any Grimm he can imagine. His primarily uses his dark magic that makes his enemies fall to fear and despair upon them. Grimm Arc prefers to use stealth and infiltration tactics, he likes to play with his enemies before union doom upon them. he is very sadistic towards his enemies using his semblance and magic to spread chaos to his enemies. He can make his body parts to change into anything he wants like lawn claws, shark tail, wings, or tentacles that he usually prefer to rip apart his enemies peace by peace. Grimm is indeed a very powerful one, but he still has his limits to his power, as well, he still learning how to use them.
Soviet Arc #1: He is the most skilled and Powerful out of all Jaune’s, as said earlier, his semblance and aura has mutated when he was living on earth. it changed his physical body, making him stronger, faster, smarter, and many other things that pass any talented people. His semblance aura amplification has mutated that he can generate his aura non-stop giving him endless reserve of aura, as well, he can amplify every part of his body non-stop to the point that he semblance works automatically with without him noticing at all. His embodiment of a living weapon, he cannot be injured as his body can regenerate any damage, including damage limbs or destroyed organs or anything else. Nikolai is considered the most powerful and dangerous man that exist on earth and remnant. Because of his powers and skills he gained many titles by he’s enemies during many wars he was a part of. The Butcher of London, The Pillager of Paris, Soviet Dracula, And most famously Warmaster. and he has many titles given by his allies and his people. Liberator of Africa, protector of the week, angel of salvation, Marshall of Justice. Nikolai is considered the most powerful and most dangerous out of all Jaune’s, even though he haven’t showed his full power and all of his abilities, so only God knows what this man truly capable of.
so basically his the least of how powerful each of the Jaune’s is. Do you know that I didn’t put everything that I wanted to write as I didn’t want to spoil everything just yet, there’s still many things about Jaune’s that I didn’t show yet. So stick around and you will see what the powers and ability each of them have.

“Crafted by the lair of a Beast” you say. So you are aware of what is growing at the center of the Solar Cell. But the words spoken about us before we were sealed aren’t wrong. It’s just that we have changed greatly since then.
How aware are you of the history of the Solar Cell, why it was created, and what the main goal of that Beast is?
Tumblr media
CHARLEMAGNE: "I know of the Beast. The dark, raging fire of a once benevolent goddess. The Beast laid it's seeds within the Holy Grail War of the Moon- and then, when the time was right, it unleashed itself and slaughtered countless Masters and Servants. When the Moon Cell retaliated, it sequestered itself on the Far Side of the Moon, out of the sight of the 'Eye of God'. There-- here, rather-- it incubates. For once it reaches its true form, it can overpower even the miracle that is the Moon Cell Automaton, and then the planet itself."
Tumblr media
CHARLEMAGNE: "As such, we have arrived. You see, the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne are summoned when--"
Tumblr media
CAROLUS-TILPINUS: "When the Knights of the Round Table oversleep?"
BRADAMANTE: "When Lord Merlin needs a good laugh?"
Tumblr media
ROLAND: "When Hector forgets to pick up the phone?"
ASTOLFO: "When you're getting real desperate for heroes?"
Tumblr media
CHARLEMAGNE: "…The Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne are summoned when the world forgets about freedom, justice, and light. There is a darkness residing at the core of the Solar Cell, and we have been chosen to defeat it. This 'Solar Cell' is a place of immense potential- perhaps the beginning of a new humanity, residing within the Moon Cell. As such- we serve as liberators!"

⚔️ WELCOME TO THE INQUISITION 🐦‍⬛
This blog is dedicated to the recounting, archiving, and showcasing of "Raven's Inquisition". "Raven's Inquisition" is a Curse of Strahd prequel campaign where we get to explore setting elements and character relations that otherwise could not have been explored in the canon module. The DM @emp-roar is constructing the campaign as an adaptation of the "I, Strahd" novel, where Barovia has yet to be established, Strahd is still human, and the players are all inquisitors overtaking the Tsolenka Valley under the von Zarovich crest and the banner of the Morninglord.
The following tags are available for your eased perusal:
#journal entry (session recaps)
#public notes (in-world discovered lore)
#media (art/media)
#writings (personal inquisitor literature)
#inquisitorial mailbox (QnAs)
#AUs For tags pertaining to the individual inquisitors, please look at their personal accounts below.
By the decree of Count Strahd von Zarovich, the following names shall be knighted to receive upon them the title of
Inquisitor of the Tribunal of the Holy Office of Barovia, Ordo Solis:
Tumblr media
Frank was a sergeant who served under the banner of House Dilisnya. Hindered by nothing but his own conscience, he chose to kneel to the Lord of Murder, Bhaal, so that he may strike the political enemies of his master without a pang to his sanity. He was later sentenced to death by his own general, not because of his crimes, but to control the unrest of the masses. This condemned his faith in Bhaal. After his release, his mind is ever-pregnant with the thoughts of meaningless murder, but he chooses not to, for while duty is in his hand, murder is never meaningless.
Ever since the attempted assassination against Strahd, Frank has been called to the battlefield, now riding and fighting beside the count, his commander, and the might of the Voronian army. [Frank's player has since left the table due to personal reasons. He will forever rage under the blazing heat of the morning sun. Sol Invictus, Frank.]
Tumblr media
Everyone is entitled to fear. Not all are worthy of harnessing it.
Rising from the depths of enslavement, no one could have foreseen that a mere cripple would lead a savage onslaught against his masters. A gritty veteran, Cain's dreary origins gave birth to his singular conviction of dominance. This worldview born from despair molded his philosophy regarding the nature of power and the laws that govern all. Despite being fueled by darker ambitions, Cain is not without a heart of grace and kindness. The duality of the man who is both ruthless and compassionate is weighted in balance, reflecting symbolically his devotion to The Scales. Intent on liberating those in shackles and claiming power to ensure it, the "Dreadwalker" finds himself in the service of Strahd von Zarovich, planning to consolidate and secure both.
Tumblr media
Anatomically speaking, how do you do?
Once a mere human consumed by an insatiable obsession with necromancy, Violet delved deeper into the dark arts, fervently worshipping the god Bhaal in her pursuit of forbidden knowledge. Gradually descending into madness, she adopted the guise of a pathologist, masking her heinous crimes as acts of scientific inquiry. Her obsession with understanding the mechanics of life and death twisted her mind, transforming her into a ruthless psychopath.
Tumblr media
Calandrius Vaerethin is many things: a long-lived elf, a one-time hellrider, or the occasional robber baron. By all accounts he has the physicality of a golden knight, his fair skin complemented with his bright golden hair, as if stolen from the sun, with the composure of someone who has practiced a thousand strikes in his lifetime; though Caland would tell you he is anything but. In truth, he is the last of a long-dead order of knights, who were purged in the days of Old Voron. Now unfettered, whether it be the tenets of the old order of the noose meant for his neck, perhaps it is time to let the ghosts of his past rest. He was always told that his lot was to be the beating wings of the freedom of the sky. Though whether the Last Swan would herald weal or woe, only time and circumstance can tell.
Tumblr media
Pikehead is imposing to say the least. Armored from head to toe in steel and spikes, little is known about him or what he looks like underneath the iron. Soft-spoken and tamed, his demeanor hardly lives up to the foreboding presence he commands. Mayhaps it was because of his duties to his late master in Old Voron. A soldier molded into a near perfect machine.
Tumblr media
In war, the only thing stronger than fear is hunger. A tyrant is only different from a peasant in appetite.
Raised amidst the oppressive reign of the late King Barov, Omen had to learn how to navigate the streets of Voron as much as the various plights littering it. The circumstances of his birth, coupled with the struggles he faced growing up, taught him to attribute value to the few possessions he truly owned. Value he is willing to exchange for the only thing he ever hungers for: a home.
Tumblr media
I promised them it would all get better, but all I brought them was ruin. I cannot fail again, but if ruin is what he needs, ruin I shall bring.
A soldier, a knight, a sword. Whatever he is, one thing that can describe him is loyalty. And why would he be the one that betrayed the kingdom? Who knows. But now, it seems like he got his second chance, and he will not waste it.
Tumblr media
"My army settled in the valley of Barovia and took power over the people in the name of a just god, but with none of a god’s grace or justice." -- Tome of Strahd

and with the Liber Holy Knight armor (since this was the release with the Class III armor in the same box)
the new gold accents and additional jewels make this setup look more like a Gold Paladin unit
the new parts make it a little bulkier but not as much as the Paladin armor would
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
30 Minutes Fantasy Liber Knight
as usual, starting with the unarmored 'silhouette' form
this is really impressive with both the range and fluidness of the articulation
a lot of parts go into the joints and it looks like the designers learned from weaknesses in some 30MM designs
I attempted my usual painting strategy of putting metallic silver on the back side of the clear plastic part for the eyes, but its shape didn't really work with it if an LED could be fit into the head somehow it's probably look great though

SAINT OF THE DAY (December 2)
Tumblr media
The earliest mention in authentic historical authority of St. Bibiana, a Roman female martyr, occurs in the "Liber Pontificalis" where in the biography of Pope Simplicius (468-483), it is stated that this pope "consecrated a basilica of the holy martyr Bibiana, which contained her body."
This basilica still exists today. In the fifth century, therefore, the bodily remains of St. Bibiana rested within the city walls.
We have no further historical particulars concerning the martyr or the circumstances of her death, neither do we know why she was buried in the city itself.
In later times, a legend sprang up concerning her, connected with the Acts of the martyrdom of Saints John and Paul, and has no historical claim to belief.
According to this legend, Bibiana was the daughter of a former prefect, Flavianus, who was banished by Julian the Apostate.
Dafrosa, the wife of Flavianus, and his two daughters, Demetria and Bibiana, were also persecuted by Julian.
Dafrosa and Demetria died a natural death and were buried by Bibiana in their own house.
However, Bibiana was tortured and died as a result of her sufferings.
Two days after her death, a priest named John buried Bibiana near her mother and sister in her home, and the house was later turned into a church.
It is evident that the legend seeks to explain in this way the origin of the church and the presence in it of the bodies of the above mentioned confessors.
The account contained in the martyrologies of the ninth century is drawn from the legend.
An alternate account says that in the year 363, Emperor Julian made Apronianus Governor of Rome.
Bibiana suffered in the persecution started by him. She was the daughter of Flavian, a Roman knight, and Dafrosa, his wife.
Bibiana's father was tortured and sent into exile, where he died of his wounds.
Her mother was beheaded, and their two daughters, Bibiana and Demetria, were stripped of their possessions and left to suffer poverty.
However, they remained in their house, spending their time in fasting and prayer.
Governer Apronianus, seeing that hunger and want had no effect upon them, summoned them.
Demetria, after confessing her faith, fell dead at the feet of the tyrant. Bibiana was reserved for greater sufferings.
She was placed in the hands of a wicked woman called Rufina who, in vain, endeavored defile her virginity.
She used blows as well as persuasion, but the Christian virgin remained faithful.
Enraged at the constancy of this saintly virgin, Apronianus ordered her to be tied to a pillar and beaten with scourges, laden with lead plummets, until she died.
The saint endured the torments with joy and died under the blows inflicted by the hands of the executioner.
Her body was then put in the open air to be torn apart by wild animals, yet none would touch it.
After two days, she was buried according to this legend.
