To the community that I've been a part of for a decade ♡
These are some excerpts from a couple of pieces I wrote for someone I lost
I don't know where to start
Always writing in the dark
Haven't written a poem in years
Blurred vision from all these tears
It's been one week since I found out you were gone
Almost two since you traveled on
You were in my dream last night
You were good
Still here
Woke up realized the worst fear
Our hearts are broken
Taken too soon
Grief crashes like waves
Anger from this tragedy
We are all tested in this life
Faith challenged constantly
It was a gift to know you
It was an honor to call you a friend and Brother
I know you're watching over
I won't say goodbye
Take a breath
Exhale up to the sky
☆
I thought I would write you this text real quick
Pretend to hit send
I want to go back to the future and find your heart to fix
Press rewind and find our best friend
Fast forward through the sadness
Raise the volume on the laughter from the happiness
Tell you the whole story from beginning to end
Tell me one day this will all make sense
Why I still can't refer to you in the past tense
This void never waivers
You taught me to let go of anger
Remember when is important
This life changed afterglow
There are just a few more things I need you to know
We reminisce when our time was just for fun
Those moments flash
Project onto life's reel so fast
Still can hear your laugh
But now it's through the cosmos
Jealous of the man on the moon
Now he gets to share all the jokes with you
The stars hold the truth
Your humor and wit
They keep the moon lit
Will never be eclipsed
Now you know the secrets of the sun
Your story had just begun
Your work here was yet to be done
Your energy compiled of the wind and sunsets
Thinking of you has become a reflex
We fight to laugh and love
You're the warmth sent from above
Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.
We miss you
We remember you
We honor you
We celebrate you
We love you
Always.
In our hearts forever
One love
Jess

https://www.breakingnews.ie/entertainment/boyzones-keith-duffy-says-liam-paynes-death-eye-opener-for-music-industry-1723365.html
I really do hope his death changes some things. But I have so little faith it will.
Boyzone’s Keith Duffy has said Liam Payne’s death was an “eye-opener to everybody in the music business”, adding that artists should have access to mental health support. Appearing at the world premiere for new docu-series Boyzone: No Matter What, Duffy (50) reflected on what it was like to be in a boyband in the 1990s. “Boybands have been known to be used as puppets and a marketable commodity that have a shelf life, but fame comes alongside that,” he said. “And I think the great loss of that young man from One Direction is an eye-opener to everybody in the music business. “It’s all well and good to make money from young guys in a band. It’s all well and good to promote their brand and their music. “Somebody needs to take care of their mental state. Somebody needs to take care and make sure that they’re OK. They need to be kind.” One Direction star Payne died from “polytrauma” aged 31 on October 16 after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.

Hey guys,
I managed to finally listen to the boys music on Wednesday… I was out in the car and put on their playlist but I didn’t cry, I didn’t feel anything. I just felt numb.
I sang along but not to have fun or because I was happy but because I always sing along. No matter how I’m feeling.
I feel so bad for just being numb. It still hasn’t sunk in that it’s been 2 weeks. I miss Liam more than anything. He was the first member of One Direction that I fell in love with. I knew Liam’s Grandad through my auntie. She is a hairdresser and cut his hair. I had weekly conversation with him about Liam and the boys. He was so proud of him, you could tell every time I spoke to him. I never got chance to meet him but the conversations were enough. I managed to send Liam a drawing and a birthday card to which he tweeted and followed me. It made me feel a little closer to him even though I didn’t know Liam.
My heart is still so broken that he’s no longer on this earth. He shouldn’t have gone so soon. The boys have saved my life so many times and in so many ways. I probably wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them, my depression and anxiety wouldn’t be as calm as it is if it wasn’t for them. I’m 27 and still as obsessed and in love with them as I was at 14/15.
Liam,
I am heartbroken that you are no longer with us. I feel numb. You need to know how much you are loved. The whole world loved you for your impeccable talent and your limitless kindness. You lit up this world in so many ways for so many people. You were an incredible person and didn’t deserve the hate and rumours you had to live through. You meant so much to me and so many others around the world. I hope you can see how much we all love you. You made the world a better place, with your smile and personality.
I feel for your family, friends, girlfriend, the boys and especially for your son. Bear will grow up forever remembering what an amazing and talented person his father was. We will never let anyone forget you.
I hope that wherever you are you are now at peace and happy. You deserved the world Liam and it failed you. I can’t believe that we couldn’t save you when you had saved so many of us. I’m so sorry that we let you down, you didn’t deserve it. You deserved so much more than what life dealt you. So from the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry.
I will never forget you and everything you brought to the world. Stay happy up there Liam, you deserve it. I love you so much Liam and I hope you’re now who you’re meant to be.
Sleep tight and rest in peace Payno.
I send you love and hugs, forever our Daddy Direction.
(I’m sorry for the long post but I need somewhere to write how I feel. I’ve spent 2 weeks trying to put into words how I feel and although this is all I can say at this moment in time, I feel like I’m able to write and help myself and hopefully others. If anyone ever needs anyone to talk to my DMs and Ask Box is always open.)

Missing Liam a little extra today. Some say his funeral is today, please do not attend or disturb, its for family and friends. And with that.
Our dearest Liam, may you rest in peace and smile down from heaven onto us all. You deserved so much more and its not fair how people treated you. I wish, us all directioners and Liam stans, could tell you one last time what you‘ve meant to us, how much we appreciated and loved you, that life wont be the same now. I wish we could all hug you one last time and tell you how much we loved you from the bottom of our hearts. You‘ve meant the world to us and we will carry your legacy. We will fight for you, for justice!
1993-2024 Liam James Payne, fly high Payno🕊️🤍

It may not be breaking a law but having teenagers sign away their rights for the rest of their lives that inhibits them from pursing their right to happiness can be fought
voluntarily signing a contract at an age when you really have no idea how they Cherry pick what they feel is “clean or not” apparently getting drunk and stoned and having random unprotected sex which results in a child with a rando is okay and promoted but two men in a long term relationship isn’t—let them explain how that is okay and not bring sexuality into it
If there is nothing they can do then get ready for them to never come out possibly even marry beards and have children they raise together but it’s never seen or known
What a horrible way to live, in constant fear you will be found out
Or
What exactly can be done to them? People are going to notice if Harry puts out an album and he’s never on the radio or tours
Louis already isn’t played on the radio and has proven he can play bigger places going back to small places people will notice
And in this fandom, people speaking up will be heard and that may be the one thing that unites all sides and it would be a force.
Would they take them to court? Take their money? Civil laws are different and no jury isn’t going to side 51 percent with two people who were teenagers forced to sign a contract in order to have a career and now being in their 30s forced to live unhappily when others are free
Hi, anon!
To address your first argument in the first paragraph. I don't disagree. If you've followed the public discourse in the UK after Liam's death, and LiamsLaw, there is a motion to ban under-18s boybands.
To the second paragraph. The label isn't cherry picking what is clean or not. It's not about that at all. It's about what will appeal and attract young women (their target audience). The main thing is appearing straight so that they'll fall in love with you.
We don’t know yet if there is nothing they can do about it. It might be a 20 year contract, it might end when they end their career, it might end when Sony don't deem Harry or 1D profitable anymore, or it might never end.
Worst case scenario if H and L is in breach of contract is that Sony sues them for lost income. Sony can argue that they've lost 20 years of albums from H because he ruined his own image by coming out or revealing his relationship with Louis. That's more money than both H and L currently have.
This fandom has spoken up about this for years! Where have you been? @stoponedirectionsmanagement even got threats from Sony for their work to shine a light on the situation back in the day. Rebecca Ferguson, Katie Weissel and other xf contestants are working daily to bring this all to light. Nothing is working unfortunatly.

The entertainment industry, acclaimed for its glamour and stardom, is equally infamous for the enormous pressure it exerts on the mental health of artists. Resultant issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, substance misuse and even suicide are alarmingly high. According to research, performers are 2-3 times more likely to suffer from these issues compared to the general population.
In recent news of Liam Payne's tragic death as many others, the entertainment industry needs to be held accountable and be responsible to the welfare of their artists. We seek to implore lawmakers to create legislation safeguarding the mental health of artists within the industry.
Such a law would necessitate regular mental health check-ups, adequate rest periods, and the presence of mental health professionals on-set, including any ongoing support during their career. It will ensure a healthier, safer, and more conducive working environment for artists to cultivate their talents reducing phycological distress. This would also include early interventions to protect and minimise before it's too late. Furthermore, the increasing rate of musicians who die before the age of 35, is concerning. We need to act now!
The artist's role is invaluable not just in the world of entertainment but also in society. Let us ensure their protection and wellbeing. Your signature could be a lifeline for these talented individuals, contributing to a larger movement of mental health awareness and care in industries worldwide. Please, sign the petition.
#LiamsLaw#please sign the petition and share#the first goal was 5000 signatures ✓ next goal 150000#💜🕊️#it started on twitter but I haven't seen it here yet so let's give it a boost!
