౨ৎ l'amour quand il vient with @lgcmaylin
They're weird, the lights. Kyoka could swear that they're flickering more than normal. She blinks at them a couple more times as the doors open and people exit the elevator. They close again. The lights continue to flicker. There's the sound of puttering, oh great, don't tell her tha-
Kyoka doesn't even have the time to finish her thought when the elevator putters to a stop. At least the lights stopped flickering. That's a win. She'll take as many as she can, given how long it'll take for them to fix this, she thinks.
"Why is it that elevators are so haunted?" she asks the only other occupant of the elevator out of the blue. Kyoka doesn't really believe in that sort of thing, but with how often she's having trouble with the elevators, she's starting to consider carrying some salt around on her. Just in case.

PUPPY LOVE ✱ @lgcminseo
When Seojin initially signed up to go on the temp agency show, he kept his expectations low. He was under the assumption that he could end up being stuck with something like helping Hyuncheol organize his filing cabinet or running to get a monumental coffee order by the graphic design team. Fortunately, stepping foot in the commercial agency's building has his shoulders drooping with relief. He sets his eyes on a few furry friends happily waiting by their respective owners with impatient smiles on their faces. It takes everything in him not to make a scene and run to the closest one to rile it up and run around the building with it. Instead, he takes a deep breath to calm himself, slowing his steps to match Minseo's.
And speaking of Minseo, he feels like luck truly smiled on him to result in their pairing. Not only does he get to interact with cute dogs, but they are allowing him to do so side by side with his favorite little prodigy. He nudges her gently with his elbow, pointing at the fluffy white dog that resembles more of a nimbus cloud rather than a four legged friend.
"Doesn't that one look kinda like Milo?" he leans in to ask, temporarily distracted by the director shoving a bag of treats into their hands and instructing which dog prefers which. He glances over at the three fuzzy faces enthusiastically sniffing the air. "Should we split the task so they don't all look in one direction? You can take the fluffy one and I'll corral the bigger dogs. Unless you wanna…? Not sure if you're comfortable around big dogs. Golden retrievers usually listen pretty well, though."

'You’re texting me but then you going ghost' might as well be the cause of Asami's downfall and at this point, Asami isn't even kidding anymore. It's even a little pathetic if she's being honest. If she wasn't known for being more of less put-together and also out in a practice room, Asami feels like she could as well just have a breakdown right now (and maybe it's a mix of stress and PMS coming to haunt her, but still, the results are the same).
"Should we switch to me helping you with the concept for Identity instead of keep insisting that I'll learn how to make texting me roll off my tongue without making me choke?" It's probably the most aggressive sentence she has ever let out in a work setting. "At least if we're dancing, it's something I'm decent at."

━━ ˗ˏˋNEW YEAR, NEW CHARMS ! ( feat. @lgcyuxi )
"New year, new me, new episode!" Taeha squeals with a bright grin. Lucky for the production staff, it seems that the trainee has finally mastered the art of keeping a safe distance between herself and the mic when she feels a sudden burst of giggles. Good thing too, considering how she seemed to be particularly ecstatic today. Blame her inner Alize ( or the excitement of getting to spend time with Yuxi after what felt like so long ), but she can't help but to bounce a bit in her seat as she speaks. "Can you believe it's already a new year?! 2024 was just yesterday!" Get it? She shoots her guest an expectant look, grin unwavering.
"Do you think our listeners can guess what we'll be talking about today? Have I made it too easy?" Absolutely, but she hopes Yuxi feels enough pity to humor her ( and ignore her inability to get a decent bit going - ) and play along. "Oh, oh, oh! Before we get started, let me introduce you all to our new guest, Crystallis' Cleo!" Had she not abused her sound effect button so much last season, she'd surely trigger a round of applause, but instead Taeha settles for a few tiny claps under her chin. "Welcome, welcome, welcome! By the end of this episode there will most definitely be some new Alizes, don't you think?"

HOW TO SAY I’M BORED BUT LIKE REALLY, REALLY BORED? lili knows english but apparently not the english that matters — @lgcasami
strangely enough, despite living in america — namely the palm-tree lined yards of bel air — for nine years, lili still considers english her second language; even if she confuses her mandarin more than her los angeles-accented english, she stills tells herself that she’s far more fluent in her mother-tongue than any other language she learns after the fact. and perhaps that is why she’s now stuck here, in english class, relearning grammar structures and how english really makes no fucking sense but here they are — still learning it for the sake of western advancement.
( a part of her wonders why she didn’t just take japanese lessons again, at least she’d be learning something worth her while )
it is with these thoughts that she looks to asami. good ol’ asami, always there to take her mind of the boring present and the relentlessly annoying english grammar system that makes no sense whatsoever. “so, did you learn anything new today?” she asks, actually curious if anyone else had listened to the lesson and had not dazed off like she had. “or are you regretting taking english and wished you took korean instead?”

something inside of her cracked. It was as if her heart truly broke at the sight of a friendship coming to an end. but maylin knew that this would happen after handing off the valentine chocolates, watching his eyes gloss over in realization and the shift in his body language. sometimes, the dancer wished she wasn't so observant that she could somehow be a bit more naive. yet, it seemed to be the beginning of the end for them both. only if she had more experience in this category, only if she knew how to handle her own emotions. then maybe, she wouldn't feel like shit for standing here, towering over her friend.
hearing the panic in hyunsoo's voice, the avoidance in his words — there was a wall slowly going up between them, and it was all her fault. and the why of the matter didn't seem to matter right now, it would only cause more damage if she spoke out on why she even started to feel so differently about him. but, being the woman she was, the words eventually slipped out as her hands curled up into fists.
"because you understood me. you didn't judge me; you accepted the person I am, and that is why I caught those feelings. it may sound so simple, or even stupid, but it was of my own doing to allow my heart to stutter the way it does." the pain from her nails digging into her skin was the only thing keeping her afloat. her heart was pounding in her chest; she hated the fact that things were playing out before her eyes, and she had no way of stopping it. all because she doesn't know when to shut up. "if i could go back in time and stop myself from ever falling for you, i would in a heartbeat. and it's not because you're some terrible guy, but it's because i value our friendship more than you could imagine."
gosh, this was so embarrassing, even the way her voice cracked. maylin hated every second of sharing her emotions, but she had to get it off her chest.
her eyebrows furrowed together at his next set of words. why didn't he look at her? she knew avoiding eye contact was easy for some, but not in this way. the one person she considered a best friend was shutting down by the second, and that was breaking her heart even more. her ice cream was abandoned as she moved closer to hyunsoo, not caring that they were in public. she decided to sit down next to him, her head moving to catch his eyes, only to see a tear slip down his cheek.
"hyunsoo…. forget about my feelings, i don't care, the rejection was something I prepared for, but —" maylin blinked a few times, feeling a lump form in her throat. no, this wasn't the time for her tears. "what do you mean, you don't deserve to be looked at in that way?" this all was becoming way too real so fast. maylin reached out to touch his hand, only to flinch back a bit and think twice before trying the physical comfort tactic. maybe she was the last person who needed to comfort him from the start.
"i'm… sorry, you don't have to answer. give me a few weeks to get over everything, then if you'll have me again… i'd like to stay friends." she quickly wiped underneath her eyes, standing up once more, but not before reaching in her pocket to pull out a pack of tissues and handing one over to hyunsoo.
Hyunsoo turns his eyes upward to meet Maylin's. With his glasses prescription, the doctor told him that he would be able to see many things that he could not before without the help of something over them. Being nearsighted was no huge hindrance, only limiting his eyesight to a certain distance, making him lean forward more than usual, squint his eyes.
It is times like these that he wishes he did not take the recent venture into contact lenses. He cannot peel them from his retinas to blind himself of the expression on Maylin's face. It would never be as simple as removing his spectacles and tucking them in his pocket when another person's features became too much for him to bear. There it is. That same look she gave him during Valentine's Day. The one that made his stomach flip and turn sour with dread. He regrets now how he must have looked back then. Maybe then there would not be a such a tinge of sorrow.
He listens carefully to her speak — as he always did — and yet, he wishes she would simply stop. Stop. Don't say anymore. Don't say those things.
Hyunsoo glances away, chin tucking against his chest. He sets the cup of ice cream to his side to free his hands. He'd rather rub his palms against his knees as some sort of self-soothe. Typically, he would respond to a confession with a matter-of-fact statement. An 'I do not want to date' or 'stop liking me' sufficed for these situations, topped off with a cold apology — even if he did not feel sorry half the time. In front of Maylin, he is stumped. What does he say to someone whose heart he does not want to break further? He's certainly never held himself back before when it was too much to bear.
"I see..." his voice emerges low to avoid breaking. He feels the moisture forming behind his eyes. "But... why? Why would you like me...?" It isn't fair that you do. I thought I had another person who understood. Truth be told, Hyunsoo is terrified, anxious, full of dread. This could mark the end of their friendship for good, and the words that linger on his tongue sting his throat when he swallows them. That reactive defensiveness would no work here. It's not fair. He continues rubbing his hands; as if it is the only thing keeping him together.
He gives up on trying to rationalize her feelings, or his own. He keeps his chin tucked. Looking up at her again would only cause the dam to burst.
"I'm sorry... I am really sorry, May..." Hyunsoo finally chokes out, weary, as if he'd done something wrong. He blinks, flinching when a cold stream runs from the corner of his eye. "I - I hope it's... okay that I don't think of you the same. I'm sorry... I don't deserve for you to have looked at me that way. I hope you can forgive me." Don't like someone pathetic like me.

౨ৎ leaning on a lamp-post with @lgcxjasper
Kyoka's not locked out, no, absolutely not, she's just... enjoying the weather outside. The frigid, windy, is-that-snow-or-rain-or-sludge-that's-falling-out-of-the-sky-right-now weather outside. Lüftening, but like lüftening herself. It's all very nice (it's not).
Kyoka's in denial. Really, it's all a bit stupid, how she got here, but also it wasn't her fault that she was so sleepy she didn't realize that they closed earlier today without warning when she went back to get her lunchbox back in the practice rooms because she forgot them there because she was so ready to be back in bed but now she can't because now she forgot her keys in the practice room, or so she explains in one breath to the first figure that approaches her, unprompted.

SOFT SPOT ✱ @lgcyeonwoo
Perhaps the producers knew about Yeonwoo and Seojin and their propensity for being practically attached at the hip. It would come to no surprise if the entirety of the company's staff knew about their "work married" couple shtick that the both leaned into a little too much these days. The pair of best friends never once showed any signs of slowing down on getting closer. On the contrary, Seojin being added to the group during a tumultuous time only brought the two together even more.
He started to warm up to the idea of revealing many of his worries and feelings to the other man when they sat in their shared room or got a moment of privacy, but it took a while for him to lean into it. Sharing those moments in front of a camera was an entirely different story. They were urged to interact as if it were just the two of them. Seojin would have to look past his recent hyperawareness of the camera lens.
Deciding it best not to make things awkward, Seojin ignores his own reservations and settles on being authentic. He shuffles into the room and flops on the couch, waiting for Yeonwoo to attempt taking a seat before playfully putting his leg down in the spot. It doesn't even take a glance for him to quickly abandon the idea of playing around. With Yeonwoo, he was far calmer than usual.
"What should we have for dinner tonight? If it's not busy, you should cook with me," he grabs for the small bowl of trail mix and offers it in the other's direction just in case he wanted to have a small snack. In the meantime, he fishes out the peanuts. "We probably shouldn't talk too much about food though, right? I feel like most of my conversations these days turn into that subject one way or another. I dunno why. I guess it's just the easiest thing to talk about with people."

 ━━ ˗ˏˋMY IDENTITY ! ( feat. @lgcxmimi )
Time crunches? Nothing new for Taeha. Years of preparing for showcases - and now the occasional surprise evaluation as a trainee - had made her pretty good at working under pressure. And Legacy always had a way of keeping her on her toes, especially now that she was stepping into more of a leadership role with LGC Girls Japan. The thought lingers in the back of her mind as the girls finish their first run of the new choreography. Taeha's attention drifts, her focus more on the others than herself ( that is what a leader does, isn't it? ) and falling into a sort of autopilot after nailing the basic moves. Something their choreographer catches right away. ...Particularly, that absentminded look she sports when distracted.
When the girls are left to practice alone, Taeha plops in front of the floor length mirrors, squishing her cheeks with her palms. "I keep doing that thing," she mutters, pulling the corners of her mouth down into a frown. "That smiling thing…" She mimicked the coach's feedback about her tendency to grin no matter the concept - smoldering just wasn't her thing! "I can't even help it! It just… happens!" she huffs, flopping her arms at her sides before bouncing over to Emi to rest her chin on her shoulder with a whine. "Mimi, your expressions were so good! How do you do it? Teach me your ways!"

hyuk opened a fond smile, when he remembered tee. he missed that man so much,  sometimes he wished he was still around so they could return to what they used to be - but hyuk was never one to keep stuck on memories of people that decided to leave (they were remembered of course, but it was hard for him to stay in the past; he didn’t need that.
when his attention returned to asami, because she was someone that was in the present and he could help out (they both could profit from that actually), he closed his eyes as he searched for the song - he recognized it, even if he wasn’t entirely familiar with it - and slowly allowed himself to pay attention to asami’s voice.
she was talented, that was for sure and the challenge she was facing was big but it wasn’t a super scary monster. he didn’t even notice the shake in her voice, just the usual need to go for the original version. when she stopped, hyuk offered her another smile, “it wasn’t bad, really. i think you could go an octave higher when you brought your voice down, you have the range, just go for it. practice is for that.” he considered the next advice and wondered how she would take it, “have you thought about changing the arrangement? i mean, are you okay with the original version? you could stand out even more if you used a genre of music you felt more comfortable with. unless the original version is your comfort zone.”
Hyuk's wise words hit her harder than they should because thinking from that perspective... this makes so much sense. She looks up as if that will help her process things easier, and once her eyes go back to him, she can't help but laugh, "that... is impressively accurate," she places a hand over one side and her face and lightly brushes the tiredness out of her system. "your friend just changed much of my perspective now. send them my regards," she says still smiling.
Just like much of what has been happening since he stepped into the room, Asami pays close attention to everything Hyuk says, and she once again considers. She sighs to prepare herself, "Of course, it would be nice to get an outside perspective on this," she says finally. Takes another deep breath. She plays the original in the background to help her keep tempo, but it's barely audible, to be honest, and then she starts singing. It's not ideal that the beginning of Kizuato is a little higher than she's used to, so that wavers her confidence a little. She keeps going, and when she stops after the first chorus, she's at least certain it doesn't sound too terrible. Maybe just a little.

Delivery received
Hello Seojin,
Your order of a Maison de Sabré Airtag Charm has been delivered.
Order details Courier Tracking Code: EE2394732934KR Date of Delivery: December 25, 2024 Notes: Happy holidays -lyx
When Seojin arrived home for the day, the last thing he expected to see sitting on his front porch was a package — let alone a message notification indicating its arrival. He opens the front door of the dorm and looked upon the small package with a tilt of his head before picking it up and tearing it open. He combs over the smooth leather with a curious hum, then flicks open his phone one more time. I don't remember ordering this, he thinks to himself. What he did not anticipate was for Lui Yuxi, of all people, to think of sending him something for Christmas. He recalls giving her a stop last year when he ran around as Seojin Claus ( with far much time on his hands ) and their various run ins that he felt seemed more like burdens on her, at this point. The idea makes him scoff out a chuckle; and so, he scrolls for her contact to send her a message.

Thanks for the gift. But... what’s an Air Tag?

 ━━ ˗ˏˋBLEEEEP ! ( feat. @lgckyoka )
Taeha sits crosslegged in the middle of her dorm room, brows furrowed and cheeks puffing out like a concentrating hamster. "These lyrics are a bit…" she trails off, scanning her lyric sheet with a huff. While she was thrilled to be back with LGC Girls Japan, especially with such a fun setlist, nothing had prepared her for something like this. For the first time in 23 years, Park Taeha was going to have to swear.
Publicly. It wasn't like she hadn’t done it before - she is an adult, after all - but Taeha prided herself on both her squeaky clean image and language. What if her parents heard the track? Or much worse, what if she sounded ridiculous?! Last time she cursed ( after a night of strawberry milkis and soju cocktails ), her dormmates laughed so hard they nearly cried, saying it was like hearing a kindergarten teacher drop an F-bomb. "Maybe I can just… adlib there!" she suggested hopefully, looking up at Kyoka. "The producer won’t notice, right? It's such a small change!"
She let out another loud sigh, flopping backward until her head hit the edge of the bed. As silly as it seemed, swearing on stage felt like an impossible task.

TRAINEE MISSION 020 ( PART 1 / FEMALE TRAINEES )
SCHEDULE TYPE: TRIMESTER ( PART 1 OUT OF 1 ) SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: Cannot be paired with another trimester schedule, unless stated otherwise. for reference as to whether your muse is eligible for this event, please click over HERE.
all of the FEMALE trainees were gathered in the auditorium first as they waited for news on what would happen in the next few months. once SOYI appeared on stage, she began the meeting by talking about what they would be working on. “some of you may have been aware of the auditions going around for lgc girls japan and while only a select few have been chosen for that, we’ve noticed that there were some areas that we wanted all of the girls to work on.”
LANGUAGE WORKSHOPS
during JANUARY-FEBRUARY, all of the trainees will be attending language workshops. if any trainee muse does NOT have 100 KOREAN at the time of this post, they will be attending KOREAN workshops along with JAPANESE, ENGLISH, and MANDARIN. if the muse has 100 points in JAPANESE, ENGLISH and/or MANDARIN, that will be replaced with KOREAN ( if they don’t have 100 points ) OR more of a performance based workshop.
by the first week of MARCH, each trainee will be doing their evaluation in front of three coaches — JANG INSUNG, KWON SOYI, and SEO YOUNGJAE. for the evaluation, they will be asked to perform a song in a different language ( preferably whichever language they’re the least fluent at among the ones mentioned ). at the end of it, the coaches will give them feedback on what they will need to improve on for the next quarter.
PERFORMANCE BASED WORKSHOPS
in addition to the language workshops, the trainees will be doing more performance related workshops to not only prepare for lgc girls japan ( to the ones who are a part of it ) but also for a future opportunity that will be happening later in the year.
here is a brief outline of what will be focused during each month:
JANUARY: singing OR rapping ( trainees may suggest which one they prefer to work on )
FEBRUARY: dancing
MARCH: performance AND acting
then by the end of MARCH, the trainees will be teaming up with 2-3 people for their performances ( must be the same gender ) where they will be asked to perform one of their lgc senior artist’s songs.
WRITING CHALLENGE
as you may have noticed, since all of the trainees will be spending more time on workshops during these few months, that means that the writing challenge will be happening instead to encourage character development and continue any past threads you may have! unlike the previous iterations of the writing challenge, there are some slight modifications with this one. here’s a reminder of the basic rules: any thread replies ( with a minimum of 8 lines ) written between TODAY until MARCH 22, 2025 11:59PM EDT will be counted. text threads will not count for this challenge unless the post includes a paragraph of at least 8 lines. as for starters, you can only write a maximum of TWO for this to count.
for this time around, the scores will determine how many points you will be getting for THREE skills that are decided by the admins ( in this case, it will be LANGUAGE and PERFORMANCE [singing/dancing/rapping/performance] SKILLS ). in addition to that, EVERY TWO posts are only counted in the scores. this means that if you so happen to have an odd number of posts ( say 31 ), it will be rounded down to an even number ( in this example, 30 ) of posts total.
if you are interested in doing this, please tag all of the posts as lgc:wc005 and you have until MARCH 22, 2025 11:59PM EDT to participate and submit your posts for this event. when you’re done, please submit the form below to the lgcpoints blog:
MUSE NAME ∙ WRITING CHALLENGE 005 - POSTS COMPLETED: [ # of posts; do include how many starters were written in case you wrote one ] - POSTS: [ link all of the posts ]

It has been literal years since the last time Asami had the chance to go up the mountains and enjoy winter activities and not only suffer with the snow in the city. It is, then, needless to say that being invited for a short vacation with the other girls was right up her alley and she didn't even consider it for long before accepting.
She was properly ready, too, both mentally and physically, to spend her day in a snow paradise. Eyes twinkling like a kid's and a small smile that never quite went away. Her ears perk up at the conversation of their plans while they are here, and Asami acts a little on automatic as she takes a champagne flute to join the cheer. "I'm sorry, but I'll most definitely drag you all up the mountain with me," she says with a smile as she eyes Nayoung specially as she says that. "We can rent a snow sled if you're too scared, those can be very fun to play with, too," it was the one Asami used the most when she traveled with her parents when she was a kid after all. "And I promise that the cocoa with marshmallows and a good blanket will feel a hundred times better after all of that. Back me up here, @lgcmae?"
— 🐰 »
Zoe steps out of the car, adjusting her coat with a satisfied smirk. “Okay, now this is my kind of trip,” she muses, taking in the chalet’s grandeur. The towering windows, the fireplace, the sheer elegance of it all—exactly the level of luxury she expected. She breathes in the crisp air before stepping inside, where warmth immediately wraps around her like a designer coat.
She barely listens to the back-and-forth about skiing, though Kyoka’s hesitation makes her chuckle. “If I’m going up that mountain, I better look good doing it. No tragic ski fits. I have standards.” She flicks a glance at Nayoung. “And if you ditch skiing, you’re at least coming outside for the aesthetic winter pics. We need proof we actually went on this trip.”
Then her eyes find @lgcasami, and a teasing glint sparks. “So, what’s the move, Asami? Are you about to be the dark horse that surprises us all on the slopes, or are you keeping it cute with cocoa and spa days?” She lifts her champagne flute, swirling it lightly. “Either way, this trip’s about to be iconic.” She clinks her glass against the others, lips curling into a smirk. “To us.”

If there was anything Lee Yushin could do, it was bring the inner mischievous child out of Seojin. There are a number of memories the two of them created together long before they even thought to become trainees. Back then, Seojin was a no-good wannabe rockstar with a bad attitude, and Yushin had his own dreams that involved musicals and something Seojin turned his nose up at. The first time both of them set foot into this very place without the aim to throw fists, he quickly learned just how alike they were deep down. Their shared love of music and shenanigans the one that stood out the most to him.
Even now, he knew he could be unabashedly himself about the other man. He thought the same could be the same said for Yushin. It is a side he thinks he is special enough to see on such a regular basis — blessed, even. He sits on the cushioned couch with a large grin, watching while his friend attempts to do some of the iconic dance. It does nothing more than cause Seojin to burst into a fit of loud laughing. So much so that he can hardly stand to do the body wave with him, and instead tumbles onto him with his arms around his shoulders as they complete the song. Perhaps one may have thought the both of them drunk if they were to see how they acted, but the bottle of apple juice on the table is a clear indication that they are as sober as any.
"Who knows. To be honest… I didn't know a lot of it until I became a trainee. It's like I was sat down and they injected it all into my veins the second I sat down," he huffs out a sigh and hums to himself. "Should we Cream Soda now? Do you know all the parts and the lyrics? This is a test, you know…"
"....that's funny," yushin laughs, because it is true. the walls are so thin and he can only imagine what it is like, especially during the peak hours at night when the alcohol could get heavy in consumption. "alright, alright - i definitely won't mind trying some of the coveted versus songs that i could wish were v&a's songs," knowing that versus and agito had vastly different music. "and some vague dance moves that i recall," from when he playfully tried some of the moves for fun in the practice room. "is this the...... 'ballet duet' you were thinking of?" because if nothing else, ma boy was definitely not that. he can hardly believe the age of this song, and it makes him feel freakin' old. the mic is in his hand before he can think, and his mouth is automatically beginning with the beginning lines, "we got ya backkk, got ya backkk, oh god why is that spouting out automatically," as if it were yesteryear and when the song couldn't get out of his mind. the circling finger movement too, which makes him laugh, but he's not about to do the chair moves. kudos to seojin if he tries," as the two of them go through the verses, its leading up to the chorus. "body wave!"
yushin holds out the microphone and tries his best to replicate the move but even with his dance improvement, he's not sure how that comes across, especially since he's simultaneously laughing. there's not that many people he would act like this around, so its great to feel completely safe in this coccoon of a room.
"i wonder if all the baby trainees would even know this song," he says after the song is in the end with the music playing. "one of them asked me if 2ne1 was a new group," yushin wipes a false tear from his eye, before selecting another song. "is it finally time to... cream soda?"
