SIDE EVENT 010.
a reminder on side-events; they are non-mandatory occasional events that your muse can choose to participate in or not.
while missing an event might mean missing out on points, be aware that choosing to take part in it could have positive or negative consequences for your muse. there is also no telling which part of the event will have consequences either since they will be tailored to make it difficult to guess what could impact your muse. while the final consequences are decided at the same time as the event is created, we will only reveal them the sunday after the deadline. so choose wisely: are you willing to make a gamble with your muse?
a little bit differently from our usual side-event, this one offers two different activities to two different groups. click on the links for details related to the group your muse is in !

[ flower crowns ] - lgc sports festival 2020
starter for @lgcxmiyeon
the sound flowers rustling did not come from the trees that day, but from minji’s tote bag, a trail of purple and white petals flowing, leaving a trail behind as she walked quickly back to her dorm. she had just visited the cutest little flower shop, a hidden gem in the middle of the big city. minji had made sure to do her research as to ensure that these were the highest quality flowers she could find this side of the han river. she walked up the steps and into her dorm, walking to the dining table and placing the flowers delicately.
arts and crafts weren’t something minji typically took part in, but was something she still found interesting nonetheless. flower crowns looked great in theory, especially after watching hours of youtube tutorials the night before on how to make them. she had made sure to buy everything that was recommended. she wanted these to be special for the fans, who she hoped would love to wear them throughout the event and to keep them as a keepsake. well... maybe. she just came to the realization that she had bought real flowers. she figured that, in hindsight, she probably would regret it later, but maybe the fans were into flower pressing or something?
“miki unnie!” she shouted, entering the dorm room and placing the flowers on the dining room table. the flowers rolled as they fell, considering there were multiple bouquets of just about every color imaginable. “i have everything ready for the flower crowns!”

candy pop
starter for @lgcsori
sookyung really wasn’t known for being good with directions. it was the exact opposite in fact. she also wasn’t known for her amazing cooking skills. all of her meals were either cooked by family or dormmates, or ordered in. all the cooking and buying of food were taken care of by others, and in return, sookyung made sure to do more than her fair share of household chores. so it was safe to say that she had basically never ventured to any supermarkets since she had moved to seoul. therefore, when she managed to find her way to the nearest lotte mart with only a couple of minor hiccups, sookyung was definitely surprised. and that paired with the fact that she was to be meeting up with her good friend sori to ransack the supermarket's snack aisles perked sookyung right up.
now, it was just a matter of finding the other woman. which in theory shouldn’t be too hard of a task considering they were meant to be meeting up by the store entrance and the fact that sori’s brightly coloured hair didn’t exactly blend in; but sookyung wasn’t exactly blessed with height. and apparently, all the tall people of seoul that had decided to get their grocery shopping done at the same time and place as her.

on the rift.
she’s slowly getting the hang of this game, ahri thinks as she prepares for the next session of league of legends she’s about to host. while her knowledge regarding the sensation it has become isn’t very broad, watching the fans play has sparked a sense of enthusiasm she’s not felt before -- not when it comes to something as video games. now, in the company of her best friend and colleague @lgcyushin for this hosting, the smile resting on full lips is ever present, never quite succeeds in dropping from the model’s visage.
“i’m so excited to be doing with you, yushin. i don’t remember the last time we got to work together aside of the tourism korea commercial deal.” faint melancholy coats her timbre; gone are the times where they got to train together daily. they have both chosen different paths, but ahri has shown her support towards her friend whenever she can regardless. her eyes dart down to the notes, reading the names of the players. “let’s make this an enjoyable hosting session for the viewers.” she adds eventually, all curved eyes and pushed up cheeks.

@lgcwoojin
“Ok, so we’ve got the flour, ginger, sugar... Han Woojin! Put that back!”
A death glare is shot at his younger brother as Woosung raises the mixing spoon threateningly. In all honesty, they really would have been better off buying cookies for their sports festival fan project, but Woojin had gotten it into his head that he wanted to make both the cookies and the containers from scratch and of course, Woosung had found himself roped into going along with his little brother’s whims.
That said, he has to admit he doesn’t really trust anyone else when it came to supervising Woojin in the kitchen. At least Woosung has a sixth sense when it came to the younger’s mischief, so he’s always forewarned, in a way.
“Did you even read the recipe? There’s no chocolate in it, idiot! Put it down and either start helping me with this stuff or start putting the boxes together!” Sure, Woosung knows he sounds kind of (very) bossy, but he’s long since learned that he needs to be if he wants Woojin to focus and listen.

sitting at his dorm’s dining room table, eden doubles and triples checks everything spread out in front of him. when working with resin, forgetting something wasn’t something you could afford if you wanted to get it right the first time round. it only had a certain workable time before it started to set, and eden doesn’t want to be wasting time, money and resin if he forgets to grab the pigments or glitters he wanted. and he especially didn’t want that to happen this time round; not when he was meant to be the expert in it. or at least, the more knowledgable out of the two. the two being him and another trainee, shin yejun.
a few days previous, he had happened to overhear the younger boy talking about how it seemed like everyone but him had partnered up to make gifts to hand out to fans during the upcoming sports festival. and, completely opposite to what he would normally do, eden had volunteered himself (followed by plenty of apologies over accidentally eavesdropping).
quite obviously, yejun had agreed. they had exchanged numbers, and throughout the night had texted ideas on what to do back and forth. when eden had mentioned that he had experience in making various items with resin, it was quickly decided that they would do something with that. and considering that it was eden which owned all of the necessary materials, it was unanimously agreed that it would be at his dorm in which they made the keychains - the item they had finally decided on making. so now, all that was left for eden to do was wait for yejun to arrive.

► –––– . . . he can tell that the end of the round is coming to a close, even though he doesn’t know much about league at all. subin still isn’t all too sure why the company has made a select few of them announce a game like this when not everyone knows about league. maybe they assumed they all know the basics? subin doesn’t have time for long games like this though, where you wait for rounds and some last forever. he prefers things that are quick and easy, or roleplayer games that you can put down when you don’t have the time anymore.
thankfully, he’s done a little bit of research before they called him to this booth and it seems like his partner - daeho ...? - is keeping up with him even in spite of both of their lacking experience. “ so we didn’t make an absolute fool of ourselves.” he says finally as he pulls off the headphones they made him wear in the presenter’s booth, smiling a little at his partner. he’s not someone he knows all that well, but legacy did throw them together for this for whatever reason. “ even if we didn’t know much about the game.”

& mixtape ,
☠️ for @lgcnathan, sports festival fan gift.
this shit is so boring. he really should’ve thought twice about this stupid mixtape idea before he went ahead and roped nathan into it. so lame -- he’s only able to use company artist music since burning copies of other people’s music all mixed up together would be highly fucking illegal, but to be honest, that’s probably for the best. his own taste isn’t necessarily too suitable for the wholesome family fun sports day event vibe. he’s been listening to a lot of grime and punk influenced music as of late, even when his head should definitely be in idol music mode, now more than ever.
he has a bad feeling about future dreams, though. whether that’s warranted or completely paranoia based has yet to be revealed. idol music just hasn’t been comforting him at all as of late. he has too much brewing beneath the surface, more than can be contained by his body or songs about nailing someone being packaged as music about real love.
lame.
he signs his name on the front of the blank, otherwise brandless cd with a sigh, craning his neck to look at the stack off to the side.
“this was the worst idea ever. how do people sign things for hours?”

₊ ˟ her fingers are careful as she starts to braid and weave the threads into the form of a bracelet, concentration high so as not to miss a single step. it’s been awhile since she’s made a wish bracelet, but when nami asked to work with her on making some fan gifts, it was the first thing that allie thought of. wish bracelets are popular, and they hold a lot of meaning, too - so if they braid them while thinking of only good things, surely good things will come to pass for those who receive them - their fans.
“ how are yours coming along?” allie finally asks, peeking up from hers for a moment so that she can grab a small bead to add to the middle. “ how many have you made so far?” her own pile is smaller than she’d like, but they do take time after all. that, and they have at least a few more days before the sports competition.

side event 010 - fan gift ft. @lgcxjongsuk
woobin was no master crafter, but he did love video games. he had jumped at the opportunity to make a gaming inspired gift for the fans. and what better way to politely force (one of) his favorite roommates ever back to their dorm. he and jongsuk were almost scarily alike, and he genuinely missed having him around their little dorm. so, woobin was absolutely delighted when the other actually agreed to work together. and. plus, having an extra artistic hand with him definitely made him feel more confident that they could really pull off something nice for the fans.
commandeering the living room for the evening, their small coffee was covered with kitkats, oronamin c, and red bulls—how convenient that the brands were sponsors of league of legends—ready to be packed nicely for the viewers. he actually liked the idea, since the fans would be competing in their own lol tournament that he was so excited to watch. he was attempting to keep the living room at least a little tidy (yes they lived together so he knew how messy their group of boys could get, but woobin didn’t have to remind him) as he walked in. “jongsuk!” he exclaimed as soon as the other was in their living room. “bro” he said in english but switched back to korean, “how are you? it’s been too long!“ he jumped up from where he’d been sitting and went to jongsuk for a hug.

a ISAC starter for @lgcdaeyeol
something about this whole sports festival they were supposed to be attending actually made alex anticipate the whole event. it probably had to do with the fact that there were actually some sports they were doing that he actually liked to do, one of them being basketball. though one thing that he wasn’t prepared for was the whole fan gift portion of it all. he had decided on making up individual goodie bags which contained different types of candy and even written notes in each of them.
he was regretting his decision now that he was actually preparing the small gift though, his hand starting to cramp up after only writing out a few notes. alex lets out a heavy sigh as he lays the pen down and leans back in his chair. “i swear my hand is going to fall off at some point writing all of these...” he mutters this to himself before he looks over at daeyeol, checking to see what the younger male is doing. “how is it going for you over there?” he asks this partially due to curiosity but also to help distract himself from thinking about how many more of these little notes he still had to write out before he would be done.

sugar & spice
it will remain a great mystery -- a miracle, in fact, on how both of them found the perfect time in their already busy schedules. nevertheless, charlie was relieved that she was not the only who wanted to make something for their... fans. the very thought that she had those still gives her butterflies, or maybe the right word to describe it is shy. now, would be the right time to do, the last few times had been hectic and they all still made time to show their support.
as always, this could be done the easier way, as charlie would like to put it, buy some pre-made diy sets and follow instructions. that would be practical and convenient, in every sense. but it wasn't how she pictured herself 'giving back' to be. and besides, she's a decent baker... actually, no, if there was anything she was most confident in it would be baking and cooking. and with that confidence she managed to convince seolmi ( @lgcseolmi ) to a quick trip to the supermarket for supplies and back at their dorm.
charlie was double checking everything, lining them up on the table. "you know, we could just go with the diy stuff instead, what do you think?" she looks over to seolmi with a smile, "i could just make cookies with these later on. and valentine's day is right around the corner so i'm sure i could make other stuff with it too for..." she had told herself time and time again to be careful, but it just came out naturally. "for friends."

@lgcxmirae
Being a part of the sports festival this year is actually pretty exciting. Having missed all the fun from last year’s event, Jinsoul is determined to make the most of this year’s event. Given there were always something to do around in Legacy. An all in one company that facilitate all her siblings and cousins chosen career path, making her wonder where she would eventually end up in.
“Selfie time!” Back hugging her older cousin despite being taller than her like the complete toddler that she is. “Oh this one turned out great, what should be caption it?” Turning towards Mirae with thoughtful expression leaning to the older for some guidance. At the end of the day, Jinsoul has not had much interaction with their fan base and wouldn’t want to do something inappropriate to get her called in. Although she’s pretty sure that won’t last long.

but first, coffee-*
ah, the isac, the annual event that almost everyone (including him) is waiting for. it's a fun-filled day where they get a chance to showcase one's athletic skills and for some, a chance to learn a new sport. it's a fun event, one that always make him feel a little nostalgic, remembering the sports festival events most universities have. fun times, he tells himself. having the chance to be seen by their fans in a different setting other than the stage and the magazines is also an exciting thing.
aside from the actual sports event, one thing he's looking forward to is the chance to give the fans the gift they have prepared. junghwan had been excited the moment they were told to think and prepare gifts themselves for the fans who will attend. he naturally sees this as some sort of mini, personal project, and he's happy that jinseo had agreed to do it with him. with their shared love for coffee, and also probably fueled by their recent coffee maker promotion project, it was unsurprising that jinseo's idea for the gifts is coffee beans which he very happily agreed to. he only pitched in on how he pictures their packaging to look.
"ah, these came out really pretty, hyung!" junghwan says, a dimpled smile on his face as he helps jinseo prepare everything so they can start distributing them to the fans. the stickers they have printed also came out nicely. "i hope the fans like them!"

forget-me-not
▶▶ISAC ▶▶ w/ josh.
the fact that they were allowed to interact with the fans is one thing, but to be permitted to give them gifts was also a nice touch which allows them to get even closer to them. he only hopes that it makes them memorable if perhaps their gifts may either stand out, or their personalities stand out in a way, because all the trainees would be allowed to do so, and he’s only one face among hundreds. when they had some downtime before the actual ISAC event started, yushin managed to loop josh into sitting down with him to actually do the prep for their gifts.
“what’s your idea? what did you want to do? i was thinking something .... like handwritten notes, or... maybe a small sweet all in a tiny bag. easy to carry and thoughtful-ish? it sounds so plain when i think about it that way but, i honestly can’t think about anything else for my end at least.” they didn’t have to do the same thing, but it was more fun to prepare together than doing it all alone.
