i attended the lgc family concert and omg, they really went all out this year with these surprises especially with the girls! ♥ i was following lgc girls summer since the start and was wondering if we would see the performances in person and we did! it was so fun watching all of them perform that i was wondering if legacy will debut these girls. there are some who have been trainees for so long so it only makes sense for them to debut soon, right?? let the girls shine too!!

there are so many girls to talk about, but i want to talk about specific ones that were in the special stages! i don’t know how they decided it, but seeing gong hyejoo, kyo miyeon, and koizumi tsuki be a part of the vocal, dance, and rap stages with the rest of the lgc girls and boys was such a risky but smart move omg!! all of them performed so well and it seems that their fancams views have been increasing as well! i guess legacy wanted to introduce them to us and show that they are trainees to watch out for too. well played, legacy. well played. now you got me (along with so many other fans) curious about your future plans with lgc girls… 

for everyone else, tell me your thoughts about the lgc family concert especially lgc girls summer! do you have any faves or people i should pay attention to?? (and if you have any insider info that you can say, please share it with us! don’t be shy! 👀) 

[ + / – ] lmao, why did they include so many of the girls in the special stages? i attended the concert because i was so excited to see haru after so long and instead i wasted my own money watching more trainees participate in these stages… ㅠㅠ legacy should really stick to only having idols in their stages and not these nobodies… ㅋㅋ [ + / – ] op, you’re so right about hyejoo, miyeon, and tsuki. when i heard that there were going to be special stages, i expected them to include lgc girls and boys, but i didn’t expect those three to be a part of it too! because of that, i’m even more excited to see what legacy will do. will they debut a girl group and if so, who is going to be in the final lineup? there are so many of them, but they can only pick the best ones right? [ + / – ] i was surprised to see allie perform on stage for icy but the moment she sang her part on stage, i felt as if there was an angel singing to me. ㅠㅠ i think she might be my bias after this... [ + / – ] boogie up was my favorite song out of all of the ones they’ve released and part of it is because of minji! she’s so adorable and watching her perform made me so happy! ♥ boogie boogie up~~ [ + / – ] omg arin!! she’s such a cutie but when you see her on stage performing icy and jungle it’s such a contrast to her personality on shows!! ♥ [ + / – ] if legacy starts focusing on the girls in the upcoming months, i’ll be so annoyed. type zero and v&a aren’t fully established groups yet and the thought of them switching their attention to them is a sh*tty move. they really should focus on type zero and v&a first before they do this kind of thing…  [ + / – ] idk if it’s me, but all of the main vocalists in this project are beautiful and have so much talent. my favorite is hanna and thanks to this project, i can’t wait to see what the future holds for her! ♥♥♥ [ + / – ] omg, i’m telling you!! somin is a triple threat!! in tiki taka and ggb, you get to really see her talents to the fullest! i think with a bit more time, she’ll be a force to be reckoned! [ + / – ] yejin has been in legacy for such a short period, but she is such an excellent performer that she can be on par with some of the older trainees too! that’s how good she is omg! for all of the yejin stans (like me) go stream tiki taka and jungle!!! [ + / – ] i’m one of the lucky few that has a friend who works in the industry and she told me that legacy is supposedly working on the fourth season of future dreams, so we might get to see a debut from the girls soon enough!

If anyone would have asked Hyunwoo who he adored more than video games and all his friends, he’d say Miyeon. His crush on Miki had been a secret and he was most often just happy to be around her. He had texted her earlier that he wanted to go for coffee at the new cafe that just opened and he was insisting that she join him. Of course, he’d pay for her since he was a gentleman. 

“You’ve kept me waiting! I almost left without you!” he exclaimed, looking at her teasing her as always. That had been their whole friendship. Mutual teasing and amusement over bonding with  video games. “Did you get sucked into genshin again?” he asked, looking closer at her and slipping his phone in his pocket and offering her his hand. 

“Let’s go. I want coffee,” he stated.

        ✨ for @lgcxmiyeon, jiwoo’s versatility workshop.

jiwoo wonders if maybe she’s been too ambitious. for her first time running a workshop of any kind, she probably should have chosen something a little less theoretically intricate than the idea of actors as asset. that being said ... it’s been fun. she started the workshop by getting everyone to sit in a circle -- so typical -- and discuss their ideas of the body. she was met with a lot of silence, so she talked a bit about the concept of the neutral body, the way a body exits neutrality, and if that exit applies to the idea of character alone, when many plays and musicals utilize their choruses as stage elements, becoming a many armed tree, as their accompaniment, with instruments dotted around the stage for the cast to pick up and play, or as crew, in a sense, choreographing scene changes performed by the actors like the interim between beats is a dance itself. after their minds are thoroughly engaged, she leads them in a physical warm up. quick, embarrassment curing drama games to start, followed by a round of effects being thrown at them that she wanted to see them perform with their bodies, pushing them out of neutral. 

now, as the attendees split off into groups, given prompts from her that are, admittedly, pretty vague, but are purposely made that way, jiwoo smiles. it’s more interesting to see what they scenes they can create with physicality alone -- extra actors standing in a line off to the side, arms up to hold onto an invisible loop create a bus or a train in a modern play. a clump of people together, ferally crouched with talon bent fingers, hissing at the action around them might create the atmosphere of a dangerous, enchanted forest suited to a shakespearean production. bare sets are trendier in straight plays more than they are in musicals, but there’s been musicals that utilize them too. working with the bare minimum of props is something that actors need, especially as devised theatre where the collective acts as director becomes more popular. 

time to help out her students! they have twenty minutes to create their five minute scenes, which will be presented during the last fifteen minutes of class.

the first stray lamb she comes across is miyeon, who she happily swoops to, hands clasped together at chest height. “is there anything i can help you with? sorry, i know i dumped a lot of theory on you guys at the start of the workshop... but, i don’t mind helping out! this is probably different, right? i know most of the acting training here is focused on naturalism for television. this is pretty much the opposite to that.”

out of all the things yohan had learned from legacy, patience was not one of them.

yohan wasn’t sure he had done to deserve the treat, but they had been let out of practice a lot earlier than normal. and while it was late, there was still time to do something fun. and yohan was definitely trying to take advantage of it, but he was having a difficult time getting his partner in crime to come outside.

yohan sighs and lifts at his black bucket hat, rubbing at his temples in frustration. miki had agreed to meet him outside almost a half an hour ago and he was getting tired of sitting on his bench waiting for her. it was humid and sweltering outside yohan couldn’t stop dreaming about ice cream, about a giant bowl of patbingsu calling his name. he leans against the wooden back of the bench and checks his messages again, sighing when he sees nothing from miki. instead he spins his phone in his hands, a nervous habit he’s had since he was younger and contemplates just leaving without her. but he knew that he would never hear the end of it.

in the year and handful of months since he’s been with legacy, miki had become one of his closest friends and favorite people. he cherished their friendship and their playful nature and he couldn’t think of anyone else he’d rather spend the evening hanging out with. now if only he could get her to come outside and stop laying around like he knew she was doing.

     There were very few people that Alex actually would associate himself with, mainly because he didn’t want to deal with actually making new friends when he had enough of them, though there had always been one person who he actually managed to get along with. Miki. The two had known one another as penpals over the years, eventually actually ending up meeting in person over time. Now, when the two would meet up, it was relaxing to even just be able to actually chill and have a good time, take a break from what life was throwing at them at the time.

     He didn’t mind Miki’s company, actually glad to have another person around who he could easily converse with in English from time to time. Though, there was always those moments when he would try to build up her confidence in herself, thinking that she really shouldn’t let other’s comments or opinions effect her in any way. He himself didn’t care much about what others said to or even about him because he honestly didn’t care if they liked him or not.

     When he had contacted her earlier, Alex had asked her to just hang out for a few hours, to just do their usual thing of chilling and catching up on what they’ve both been up to since the last time they hung out with one another. The two of them had been friends for so long now that really it wasn’t shocking that either of them knew a bit about one another.

     Alex raises a brow when he spots Miki, lifting his hand to wave a bit once she’s gotten closer. “Yo.” It’s simple yet it’s how he usually greets her when they meet up. “Glad you could make it, I was really dying to get some fresh air today, especially after being stuck in practice rooms all week.” He says this, rolling his eyes at the thought of how busy the trainee life really was. Honestly, he was starting to actually warm up to the idea of making his debut someday, however it still got exhausting at times.

►     ––––       .  .  .       it’s the last episode of the hell season, and subin is grateful for it.  he finds more relief at the end than he ever does at the beginning  -  maybe this is a sign that it’s time to quite while he’s ahead.  the problem is, though, that subin isn’t a quitter and to abandon a show of his own making even if it only was given to him out of pity and doesn’t feel much of his own anymore still weighs heavily on his shoulders.  quick move is a burden that he has to bear.  this last episode this season will make him see it through.

he’s stretching his ankles with his heels strapped on, taking a look over at miki before the episode begins filming.  “ let me ask you a question.  have you actually danced in heels before?”

      XX.   ━━   acting is definitely not this girl’s forté.  it’s almost a little painful to watch, but it’s a good thing that emotions don’t easily show on doha’s face.  as much as he .. dislikes her abysmal performance, he isn’t cruel enough to show it.  and though he doesn’t mince his words, though he isn’t a liar, he’s not going to aim to hurt this girl’s feelings when she already looks stressed enough as it is doing something that she isn’t used to doing.

“ your delivery was flat.” he finally says, blinking at her with a slight frown.  “ if you want to be better at this, you need to speak up.  work on your breathing.”  doha pauses, glancing her over.  “ you’re an idol trainee, aren’t you? you should use the same breathing techniques to speak while you act so you don’t sound so ..”  scared.  breathless.  he’s not sure if she’s going to take this the right way, but truthfully her performance was just.  not good in the slightest.  “ do you want to do another run through?”

during free training jaemin tried to keep himself on his toes and keep himself fit. whether he stopped by the gym for a bit or attended a dance lesson, he thought it was important to stay active and ready to move when he’d set his sights on action movies and things of that nature. having danced since high school as one of his favorite hobbies, he more often than not chose the dance workshops and he was usually very pleased with whatever choreography was being taught for the day. it was a nice break from acting and modeling to clear his mind a bit and swear it out thoughtlessly..... but what was he supposed to do when they were told to freestyle?

freestyle required so much quick thinking and dance proficiency that most of the idol trainees focused on dance would have but since he joined legacy his focus centered on acting almost exclusively with dancing not even being a career choice. he was far from inexperienced but he was clearly low on the totem pole compared to everyone else.

“freestyle?” he heaved a low sigh, brushing dark hair back before he fanned at the gray shirt he wore a bit from their cardio warmup. despair was written all over his face, hands pressing to his hips. “of all things... freestyle is so hard..” he complained gently, clicking his tongue and frowning up just a little. “how do you even do freestyle?”

☀ ︴gotta catch ‘em all

indy wouldn’t call himself a party person, exactly. he would call himself a people person, however, and at legacy’s halloween party, with no drunk people, spin the bottle or beer pong in sight, he feels like he’s exactly in the right place. it’s especially true with cam and jiahn, the brock and ash to his misty, respectively. overall, he’s ecstatic, bubbling with excitement, flitting about here and there to every friend he sees, unable to stay still for long, as is usually the case with him, but especially so tonight.

he always ends up back with cam or jiahn, but for now, he’s on his way to get more snacks, offering to make a run on behalf of cam and jiahn so jiahn can continue hiding from the majority of the party in peace. 

before he arrives, he spots a girl in a yellow hoodie. she’s by herself, and body language indicates that she’s uncomfortable. indy doesn’t like leaving people alone, especially in environments where they should be having fun, so he swoops in.

“pikachu?!” he asks enthusiastically. no, those are not pikachu’s signature striped ears, and he’s pretty sure the girl doesn’t have a lightning bolt shaped tail. he was mostly kidding to begin with, so it’s fine. “oh, you’re not pikachu,” he jokingly recognizes, pretending to be genuinely caught off guard before he breaks into a smile and laughs lightheartedly. 

now that he gets a good look at her, she’s certainly not pikachu, but she is another familiar character: winnie the pooh. it’s not exactly a costume, but a hoodie to match a famous character is at least better than showing up in a regular t-shirt and jeans. “winnie the pooh, right?” he asks, more to make conversation than out of actual uncertainty.

[  flower crowns ] - lgc sports festival 2020

the sound flowers rustling did not come from the trees that day, but from minji’s tote bag, a trail of purple and white petals flowing, leaving a trail behind as she walked quickly back to her dorm. she had just visited the cutest little flower shop, a hidden gem in the middle of the big city. minji had made sure to do her research as to ensure that these were the highest quality flowers she could find this side of the han river. she walked up the steps and into her dorm, walking to the dining table and placing the flowers delicately. 

arts and crafts weren’t something minji typically took part in, but was something she still found interesting nonetheless. flower crowns looked great in theory, especially after watching hours of youtube tutorials the night before on how to make them. she had made sure to buy everything that was recommended. she wanted these to be special for the fans, who she hoped would love to wear them throughout the event and to keep them as a keepsake. well... maybe. she just came to the realization that she had bought real flowers. she figured that, in hindsight, she probably would regret it later, but maybe the fans were into flower pressing or something?

“miki unnie!” she shouted, entering the dorm room and placing the flowers on the dining room table. the flowers rolled as they fell, considering there were multiple bouquets of just about every color imaginable. “i have everything ready for the flower crowns!”

LEGACY PROJECT: FUTURE DREAM S004 ( FINALE )

important note: while the majority of this posts pertains to the future dream contestants ( @lgcallie, @lgcarin, @lgcdanbi, @lgceunhye, @lgchyejoo, @lgcichika, @lgcjaehwa, @lgcxminji, @lgcxmiyeon, @lgcnari, @lgcsomin, @lgcsoyoun, @lgctsuki, @lgcyejin, @lgcyura ), there is a small announcement/mention below for the actresses ( @lgcaeri, @lgchanbyul, @lgcmia ) and models ( @lgcyumi ) that were a part of LGC GIRLS SUMMER!

EPISODE 6 & 7 ( AIRING: DECEMBER 4 & 11 )

episode six starts off with a recap of the previous episode before gradually switching over to the practices for the remaining contestants. the interviews are shown as the girls talk about their initial reactions to the feedback along with their song choices. the struggles and hardships are apparent in this episode as viewers begin to wonder what the possible outcome could be. before the sixth episode ends, there is a scene where WOHEE, DAEHYUN, JOSHUA, and YP briefly reveal to the audiences how some of the songs had impact in both their groups and the company as a whole. they leave with a message hoping that the girls will be able to add their own unique twist to such recognizable songs.

while the main focus of episode six were on the remaining contestants, episode seven takes a more optimistic approach as the episode shows short clips of the music show hosts ( specifically AHN JAESUN, HWANG SUBIN, and JI HANEUL ) introducing TEAM SCREAM. right afterwards, the behind-the-scenes moments are shown as the viewers saw that for some of the members, it felt like a completely new experience for them. as for others, it was as if they were back to where they were a couple months ago when the lgc girls performed DUN DUN. 

the scene slowly shifts to the christmas music video filming set. even though the music video and song won’t be released until DECEMBER 20, fans got a 15 seconds sneak peak of the song. only a few scenes were shown in this segment and the episode ends with the caption, “DECEMBER 20, 2021. OUR CHRISTMAS WISH FOR YOU. -TYPE ZERO, V&A, and LGC GIRLS.”

EPISODE 8 ( AIRING: DECEMBER 18 )

it’s the final episode and it starts off with a quick preview of how everyone is behind the scenes. there are some girls stressed over the outcome of their final performances while others are excited because they get to be on stage once again. the scene transitions to the eight judges sitting in their respective spots. “is everyone ready?” hyuncheol asks both the audiences and the rest of the judges before the television screen transitions to a quick montage of the songs that will be performed today followed by each of the girls’ solo performances. 

by the time the last solo performance was done, there was a brief intermission as they show a bit of the LGC GIRLS and their appearance during KBS GAYO DAECHUKJE. some of the people in the audience could already guess what would be the finale song and when the instrumental starts playing, the fans cheer loudly as they hear “I CAN’T STOP ME” live.

after the final performance ended, the panel of judges take some time to talk amongst themselves over who they thought did the best and who would fill the remaining spots. after a couple minutes of deliberation, all of the future dreams contestants return back to the stage.

“what a joy it was watching all of your performances. we’ve seen so many of you grow throughout this season and year that watching all of you perform ‘i can’t stop me�� together made us feel proud. but as much as we enjoyed seeing the performances, this is a competition and we can only pick the best of the best to be in our final lineup.” it’s something that hyuncheol doesn’t want to mention especially when this was going to be revealed to the public, but there were only limited spots left for the lineup and they had to decide on the spot.

he then instructs all of the girls confirmed to debut ( AHN JAEHWA, GEUM DANBI, GONG HYEJOO, KYO MIYEON, MIN SOYOUN, OH EUNHYE, SEO YURA, and YAMASHITA ICHIKA ) to stand in their respective spots ( group 1 and group 2 ). with the final roster in his hands, hyuncheol begins to name the first two people in no particular order, “PONGSAK ARINYA and KOIZUMI TSUKI. please take a step forward.” he continues on as he reveals each name slowly, “HAN ALLIE, LEE MINJI, LEE YEJIN. please take a step forward as well.” 

with the chosen girls standing side by side, hyuncheol admitted, “congratulations. all of you are confirmed to debut and will be joining EUNHYE and MIYEON.” now that there are only two girls left, the anticipation builds up even more as people begin to wonder about the fate of the two girls. 

“LEE NARI and MOON SOMIN. one of you will be confirmed to debut while the other will unfortunately have to pack up her belongings and return back to the dorms.” taking a dramatic pause, hyuncheol said out loud, “the one who will be debuting is… MOON SOMIN. congratulations.” he then turns to look at NARI and tells her, “as for LEE NARI, i’m sad to say that you will not be debuting. we know that you have so much potential to become the next idol, but in comparison to the rest of the girls, you fell short. while your journey for this season has ended, please think of this as an experience for you to grow and refine the skills that you already have.” 

the next few minutes are spent to take in the sudden news but jeongan chimes in as he has a surprise to tell to everyone. “during the solo performances, we were looking for a girl who would suit the final spot and after seeing somin’s performance, we knew that you were the perfect person to complete the first group. so SOMIN, please go to the first group with DANBI.”

“we have one final surprise for both you and the audience.” jeongan stands up before pointing towards the screen behind the girls. the screen begins to play a video that was created by the legacy staffs. the screen begins with a book and as it opens, a crystal appears from it. with the book and crystal next to each other, there is text above the two objects with WOOHEE’s voice echoing throughout the studio, “fabula: the chronological sequences of events in a narrative. a story.” soon after came DAEHYUN’s voice as he said, “crystallis: of the crystal.”

“with these two together, you get ‘the tale of the crystal’.” JOSHUA explained before looking at YP. “and that will be the name of the two new groups.”

the microphone is handed to LEE ISEUL as he begins to explain the names in relation to the groups. “as we’ve mentioned in the past, VERSUS and AGITO were created to represent the light and darkness with TYPE ZERO being the middle point between those two sides. for the girl groups, we’ve created FABULA and CRYSTALLIS with plans to be a part of the legacy lore. like what the artists next to me have mentioned, FABULA means a story — the girls in that group will be continuing BLAZING’s legacy all while creating their own story. this group will be led by OH EUNHYE.” jeongan then turns his attention to DANBI and her group, “and this group will be called CRYSTALLIS to represent the crystal, but in our lore those crystals can represent the origin of magic. this group will be led by GEUM DANBI.”

by the time jeongan is done giving his explanation behind the two names, he then hands the microphone back to hyuncheol as the head manager concludes the episode, “please welcome our two new groups: FABULA and CRYSTALLIS!”

when the cameras stopped rolling and the audiences have left the studio, hyuncheol tells all of the girls that they have a meeting to attend to on MONDAY, DECEMBER 20.

on DECEMBER 20, all of the future dream contestants ( along with KIM MIA, LEE HANBYUL, SEO YUMI, and YANG AERI ) have gathered with KIM HYUNCHEOL and LEE ISEUL. 

“before we can start working on the debuts, we have year end ceremonies to get through. we’ve listed over your schedules for the rest of this year. in between all of the rehearsals, we recommend FABULA and CRYSTALLIS to take our VARIETY and MCING/HOSTING workshops since it will be useful for an upcoming project we have in store.”  hyuncheol advises the girls while handing out the sheets of paper that contain their schedules.

iseul then dismisses KIM MIA, LEE HANBYUL, LEE NARI, SEO YUMI, and YANG AERI, thus leaving them with the members of FABULA and CRYSTALLIS. what he plans to tell with the girls is something confidential and he instructs all of the girls to not tell anyone else about it.

“after talking with the coaches and seeing your performances throughout future dreams, we’ve assigned group positions for each of you.” iseul reveals to them the group positions, which is mentioned below:

however, we do have a request for HYEJOO, TSUKI, MIYEON, MINJI, YEJIN, SOMIN, and ARIN. just like type zero, starting from now until JANUARY 8, you can request a stage name! you will have the option to submit THREE POSSIBLE OPTIONS ( alternate spellings and capitalization of the letters are allowed ) from which the company will ultimately choose one as your official stage name. out of character, the admin team will make that choice out of the provided options to ensure coherency amongst stage names in the group. it should go without saying that any stage name suggestions have to be appropriate for a general audience, both in korea and internationally.
