a date lottery starter for @lgcnathan

honestly, when she had been signing up for shows, she hadn't really thought about what date lottery would entail. she had kind of just thought it would be fun, but it wasn't until afterwards that she realized what she had signed up for. it's kind of funny, all things considered, that she had ended up here. mostly because she had been punished in the past for going on an almost-date with a boy, but that was long past, done and over with.

the thought is still there though.

she had debated a long time over what her 'object' would be, considering that she has a few things that could be obvious if they were a fan of her but also things that wouldn't be too obvious. in the end she settles for a little kuromi keychain, thinking there's probably a ton of people who love kuromi too but crystallis all had their own 'government assigned' sanrio character so it could be funny. also, she found one on a moon so that could be a hint as well.

her chosen spot is everland though, so somin wonders vaguely how this first meeting will go as she wanders the park grounds, not really knowing where they were meeting. "do you think he'll want to do matching headbands with me?" she asks the camera, holding up a cute pair. "it feels only fitting, right?"

S2:EP2 - 'We All Scream for Ice Cream (Cake!)' starring @lgcnathan !

With season 2 of Batter Up well underway, Taeha really begins to feel the pressure of coming up with creative introductions to set the theme of each episode. Luckily today's bit was a no-brainer! Clad in her summer uniform of a light and flowy dress ( and you guessed it, it's very pink ), she leans into a whirring fan, lifting the sunglasses on her face to look over into one of the cameras. "It's so hot I can barely stand it!"

She waddles forward, still fanning herself with a hum. "You know what my favorite treat on a hot summer day like this is?" On cue, an intern tosses a foam waffle cone prop and Taeha catches it with a spin. "Ice cream - Hey! We're missing the most important ingredient! Hm, maybe our guest can help us find it?" Not that it would be too difficult. The staff had already placed a small mini fridge on the edge of the counter behind them, filled to the brim with pints of various ice cream flavors. She glances off screen to where Nathan stood, waving him onto the set. "Let's welcome him to Batter Up! Nathan, why don't you introduce yourself? Oh, and don't forget to tell us your favorite ice cream flavor!"

“Oh! Have you checked over here?” Parker asked, waving in the direction of Nathan as he edged closer to one of the rides. Technically, Parker was a team of one during filming as he had been designated as the MC, but still he couldn’t help but jump into the activities, especially since it today seemed like an excuse for them to enjoy the theme park. He has always enjoyed going to amusement parks as a kid, but there was something more exciting about doing so in other countries. 

His walking stride had turned into something akin to an excited trott as he rounded one corner to look up at a rollercoaster peeking out between some man-made ruins and mountains. For a moment, the singer paused and looked up as one of the cars went screaming by and he turned to look at the person filming. “Woah…that would look wild, do you think one of the signs is in there? We should totally check it out.” Parker nodded to himself and the camera, probably willing to waste some time in their hunt to ride a cool ride. “NAaaThaan!!” He called as if the younger man was meters and meters away. “Common, my spidey senses say there's one in here!”

" excuse me, " yejin says and stands up from her seat by the table, her eyes glancing to the side where nathan was sitting. yejin who had thought she had put her feelings for him somewhere else had gotten ambushed by kind gestures ever since he had sat down next to her.

all she had done was nod and smile politely at him and everything he had decided to do for her.

yejin feels a little suffocated sitting there, she needs air and to clear her head - why was he doing this now? it had been months since they last talked and she still remembers it vividly and his words back then still ring in her head.

when she enters the washroom she looks into the mirror, obsessed, that was what he had called her.

it had never been her intention, she was never upset with him but it had hurt her and she still remembers arriving back at the dorm, tears streaming down her face, and hayoung consoling her. unable to really explain what had happened for days.

it's fine, she thinks to herself, taking a couple more moments before she decides to exit the washroom so she could walk outside to get some fresh air.

POST TYPE: STARTER FOR @lgcnathan TITLE: i've been meaning to tell you...

coming in to work on the monday following the family concert has always felt like the beginning of the end of the year to milan. after the frantic summer period, the company's focus always shifted towards the award and gayo season after this event.

to milan, this is when fall truly begins. and what does one do in fall? drink tea! it's entirely in her head, considering that the weather is still quite decent, but it feels right to her.

using a break during practice, she heads to the floor's break room, a cup in hand, to make herself a hot drink. yet, as soon as she pushes the door open, her brain short-circuits for a second as she recognize its current occupant.

it's interesting how that after several years within the company, this is the first time that they've been in a room alone together. there had been a time before her debut that she used to actively avoid him, but back then, he wouldn't even have been aware of who she was. what a silly girl she used to be.

she steps inside the room and bows her head politely to the young man. "good morning" the idol greets politely as she makes her way to the hot water dispenser.

though milan's outlook on certain matters have changed, being in the presence of someone she admires so much still makes her heartbeat quicken. her hand shakes slightly as she pushes the button to fill her cup. thoughs fill her mind and tug her in various directions. the water pours inside the cup at a snail pace. has the dispenser always been this slow? she fidgets. should she? should she not?

ah. fuck it.

milan turns around to face the other occupant of the room and clears her throat before speaking up. "i watched the first day of the concert..." she begins. for some reason, the words she's been wanting to say catch in her throat and she lowers her gaze to the floor. yes, that's easier. "i was happy to see you on stage again." her heart is now racing in her chest, yet, at the same time, she feels a weight lifting off her chest and she looks back up at him.

“you hate the idea”, hyuk pointed out, not a tone of judgment or anything else in his voice, just a way of pointing out something he noticed. he didn’t have to explain his reasons, but over the years of training and dealing with people, he had gotten into the habit of making situations as pleasant as possible for everyone; unless it was someone who was part of his inner circle and knew his personality, Hyuk didn’t think it was interesting to make things unpleasant.

“What I mean is that the kids are all different sizes, when jumping they might fall and hurt themselves if they all do it at the same time. At least with tug of war we can give them gloves and use pillows”," he offered as the noise of the kids increased exponentially.

hyuk rolled his eyes at the idea of nathan babbling something to the staff and stuck his tongue out, this time revealing some of his true self, “please, with a smile like mine, i assure you they will forgive me if anything bad happens.” he joked, pointing to a cupboard not far from them. “follow me, honey, let’s get some pillows, and if you’re a good boy, we’ll make them jump- rope later. happy now?”

instinctually, nathan narrows his eyes at the jump-rope in his hand at hyuk's reply. dangerous? he guesses he could he see that, but in comparison to physically using force to drag people towards you? maybe this is that gap of comfort or experience, even, with children at play here, but nathan doesn't see how jump-roping is, at least, more dangerous than tug of war.

but hyuk is the volunteering expert here out of the two, so nathan doesn't question it too much as he weaves his way through stacks and stacks of boxes in the storage room – jump-rope securely in hand – to block off the room's currently-open double-doored entrance that the kids are now crowding around.

"sounds good to me. if any of them get hurt or get rug-burn or whatever on their hands, though, i'm telling the staff this was your idea," he teases hyuk as he places a free hand on the other's shoulder before jogging out of the room and subsequent building to corral the elementary-aged kids in a circle outside.

on SEPTEMBER 9, the following ten boys were invited to a meeting with KIM HYUNCHEOL about the project, LGC FALL BOYS.

when all of them were gathered in one of the large meeting rooms, HYUNCHEOL begins the meeting with his greetings. “hello everyone. thank you for coming here and congrulations on being selected to take part in our new variety show.” he continues on, revealing about the foods that were chosen. “in the past, choosing the group or concept would be a determining factor for the songs and units. however, for this show it will be different as the korean foods chosen will be in relation to the games that most of you will be playing while filming the show.” he then hands each of the boys a packet containing all of the important documents pertaining to the show and project.

knowing that some of them may notice it quickly as they’re reviewing through the files, HYUNCHEOL decides to bring it up first to them. “as you will soon or perhaps have already seen in the packet, V&A’s SEN ( @lgcseojin ) and AKIO ( @lgcakio ) will be making an appearance on the show to help the three soon-to-be debuted members of V&A and the MCs of this show, CHOI JUNKYU, KANG YOOJOON, and KWON HYUNTAE.”

EPISODES & ACTIVITIES

“just like the past iterations, while many of you will be filming the music videos and learning the songs and choreography assigned to you, the show will serve as an opportunity for the audience to get to know you even more and your group dynamics. so take this time to get to know each other better and let your personality shine.”

listed below are the general summaries about each of the episodes:

EPISODE 1

- MUSES INVOLVED: KUROSAWA AKIO, PARK SEOJIN - FILMING: SEPTEMBER 13 - AIRING: OCTOBER 28 - SUMMARY: SEOJIN and AKIO will be seen inside an empty classroom hallway, where there are subtle references to LGC SPRING BOYS spread throughout the hallway ( eg. trophies and awards representing some of the school clubs, stickers of the social groups, and a few photos from the LGC SPRING BOYS show ). eventually they arrive at a bookshelf where they spot a YEARBOOK titled “2023-2024”. when both of them flip through the pages and talk about the memories they’ve shared on the show, they noticed near the end of the yearbook are missing pages. there are some hints that the pages were supposed to be filled ( eg. photo of three mysterious figures holding the three korean dishes; bam bbang, patjuk, and songpyeon, a blurry photo of a group of boys hanging out together, etc. ) they spot a note nearby the bookshelf that tells them to fill the remaining pages with “new” memories.

EPISODE 2

- MCS: KUROSAWA AKIO, PARK SEOJIN - MUSES INVOLVED: BAE NATHAN, CARTER JAEJIN, CHO ISEUL, CHO MINKYU, CHOI JUNKYU, HAN JISOO, KANG MINJUN, KANG YOOJOON, KIM SEYOON, KWON HYUNTAE - FILMING: SEPTEMBER 19 - AIRING: OCTOBER 30 - SUMMARY: when all of the boys arrive, the MCs will tell them that they will be split into three groups, with JUNKYU, YOOJOON, and HYUNTAE deciding the groups through rock, paper, scissors ( in actuality, the groups were decided by the order of the foods and first come, first serve basis ): - TEAM BAM BBANG: CARTER JAEJIN, CHOI JUNKYU, KIM SEYOON - TEAM PATJUK: BAE NATHAN, HAN JISOO, KANG MINJUN, KANG YOOJOON - TEAM SONGPYEON: CHO ISEUL, CHOI MINKYU, KWON HYUNTAE the boys will then do an activity inspired by one of the most popular holidays during the autumn season; chuseok. there will be a wishing tree nearby located outside of the legacy building and all of them except AKIO and SEOJIN will be writing on a sheet of paper. in the sheet, they are asked to write in two wishes or dreams that they have in the future ( eg. “i wish to debut”, “i wish to become the best vocalist/dancer/rapper”, “i wish to find happiness” etc. the more creative the wishes, the better ) while thinking and writing their wishes, AKIO and SEOJIN will check up on the other boys, asking them questions about themselves ( eg. “what is your favorite color/animal?”, “give one random fact about yourself” ). once they are done writing their wish, they will fold and tie their wish around the string attached to the tree. at the end of the episode, JUNKYU, YOOJOON, and HYUNTAE’s wishes “disappear” on the tree and instead are replaced with envelopes noting how in order to retrieve their wishes before the end of autumn, their friends ( everyone else in their respective teams ) will have to find all of the clues they need to make the food assigned to them ( to make it even harder for the teams, the recipe for each dish is done so that there may be certain ingredients or steps added in that people might not know based on their knowledge of the said dish. for instance, the songpyeon recipe may ask for edamame as a filling rather than sweet honey sesame or chestnut ).

EPISODE 3

- MUSES INVOLVED: BAE NATHAN, CARTER JAEJIN, CHO ISEUL, CHO MINKYU, HAN JISOO, KANG MINJUN, KIM SEYOON - FILMING: SEPTEMBER 30 - AIRING: NOVEMBER 4 - SUMMARY: the boys will be APPLE PICKING in a large fruit farm. the game is based on a two part challenge. the first part of the challenge is whichever team gets the most apples within 30 minutes will receive 20 lgc coins. the second part of the challenge is memorizing the pictures placed on some of the signs and the order in which the pictures appeared. the photos will be of random legacy npc artists ( eg. blazing, dbsd, haru ). teammates can help each other with the second part, but they can only submit their choices one time and cannot change it once it’s been submitted. whichever team wins the second challenge will receive one clue ( can either be an ingredient or recipe step of their team’s dish ) AND 10 lgc coins. both parts of the challenge will be happening simultaneously, so it’s up to the team to decide which one to prioritize more. - CHALLENGE 1 WINNER: TEAM SONGPYEON - CHALLENGE 2 WINNER: TEAM PATJUK

EPISODES 4-5

- MUSES INVOLVED: BAE NATHAN, CARTER JAEJIN, CHO ISEUL, CHO MINKYU, HAN JISOO, KANG MINJUN, KIM SEYOON  - FILMING: OCTOBER 8 - AIRING: NOVEMBER 6 ( EPISODE 4 ), NOVEMBER 11 ( EPISODE 5 ) - SUMMARY: the boys will travel and go to hongcheon gingko forest, where a tour will give them a guide and historical facts about the forest. there will be three stops and each team will go as a group to a staff member who has three envelopes numbered 1-3. each team will be asked to pick one envelope ( two teams cannot pick the same envelope ) and depending on what they pick, they may gain additional coins or a clue or receive nothing. winning teams were randomized. - HIGH TIER REWARD: TEAM BAM BBANG ( 30 LGC COINS & ONE CLUE ) - MEDIUM TIER REWARD: TEAM PATJUK ( 10 LGC COINS ) - LOW TIER REWARD: TEAM SONGPYEON ( NONE ) later on after lunch, the boys will be heading to alpacaworld and meet various kinds of animals ( alpaca, capybara, deer, rabbit, sheep, owl, eagle, pony, etc. ) near the end of the episode, each of the teams will be given an envelope that contains two messages; one is a clue regarding the step and/or ingredient for the recipe and the other is a note telling all of them that the next time they’re filming, they will expect all of the boys to wake up early in the morning.

EPISODES 6-8

- MCS: CHOI JUNKYU ( TEAM BAM BBANG ), KANG YOOJOON ( TEAM PATJUK ), KUROSAWA AKIO, KWON HYUNTAE ( TEAM SONGPYEON ), PARK SEOJIN - MUSES INVOLVED: BAE NATHAN, CARTER JAEJIN, CHO ISEUL, CHO MINKYU, HAN JISOO, KANG MINJUN, KIM SEYOON  - FILMING: OCTOBER 15 - AIRING: NOVEMBER 13 ( EPISODE 6 ), NOVEMBER 18 ( EPISODE 7 ), NOVEMBER 20 ( EPISODE 8 ) - SUMMARY: all of the boys will arrive at a korean folk village, where they will play a variation of one of the most popular variety show games — the name tag game! the three teams ( including JUNKYU, YOOJOON, and HYUNTAE, who will be in team BAM BBANG, PATJUK, and SONGPYEON respectively ) will be given ten minutes each to hide their lgc coins throughout the village. once the ten minutes are up, the game will start as members from each team will search for the coins. the more coins they get at the end of the game, the more they can spend to get the clues to solve the recipe. if someone from the opposing team rips off one of the opponents’ team members name tag, the team that ripped off the name tag will receive an additional 10 lgc coins, which they can hide until the end of the game. the game itself will last about 3 hours, but every TEN minutes SEOJIN and AKIO will be roaming around the village as well, doing what everyone else is assuming, which is giving their commentary over the locations of where the boys are and trivia facts they've learned about the village. but for the observant people, if one were to rip either SEOJIN or AKIO’s name tag, the team member can receive 30 lgc coins ( which will be given at the end of the game ). do note that everyone won’t know how many coins each team has during that time. by the end of the game, all of the teams will be spending their coins in the lgc fall boys shop ( owned and created by the production team ) to gather as much as they can about their assigned recipe ( eg. 200 lgc coins to have the complete recipe, 100 lgc coins to get the complete ingredients list, 30 lgc coins for one clue, etc. ) once all ( or majority ) of the coins have been used, the teams will be following the recipe and making two servings of it. the MCs will be talking with each other as they talk about their thoughts about their favorite things to do during the fall season. every so often, the MCs will interview the other boys asking them about their cooking progress. when the dishes are done, there will be a scene of them taking one group photo, carrying the dishes that they’ve made. then they’ll place the photo inside the yearbook that SEOJIN and AKIO were looking at in the first episode.

for the songs, the boys ( minus SEOJIN and AKIO due to V&A schedules ) will be spending SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER working on the following:

( important note: the release date is the same day as when some of the episodes will air, so they will be released on various music platforms shortly after that. )

the line distributions for the songs can be found over HERE. due to JUNKYU, YOOJOON, and HYUNTAE working on LGC FALL BOYS and V&A’s comeback preparations, they will only be recording for the theme song. also, the boys will be filming music videos for "YOUNG BOY" and "HEAR ME OUT" but not "STILL HERE" and "FAREWELL, NEVERLAND".

LGC FALL BOYS LIVESTREAM

on NOVEMBER 20 ( hours before the airing of episode 8/the finale ),  BAE NATHAN, CARTER JAEJIN, CHO ISEUL, CHO MINKYU, HAN JISOO, KANG MINJUN, and KIM SEYOON will be having a livestream on LGC’s youtube channel for the fans ( the room will be decorated to represent the autumn season and the activities the boys have done on the show ). during the livestream, JISOO will be acting as the HOST and member as he helps facilitate in asking questions to the rest of the boys about their thoughts about the variety show ( without giving any spoilers about the final episode ) and about the songs that they’ve released thus far ( they will be expected to describe each song minus ‘farewell, neverland’ ). the livestream will be around 40 minutes long and each boy is expected to respond to at least one of the questions ( either asked by the producing team or by the fans who are watching the livestream ).

PREPARATIONS

“finally, ahead of today’s meeting, i have also spoken with your coaches to better understand where you are currently lacking as artists.” he pulls out a bag with a slip of paper for each person. “when i call out your name, please come and take this from me. this will be the skill that we’d recommend you focus on for this project. you, of course, can choose not to, but do note that we will take this into account when we review your performance as a whole at the end of this.”

once each boy has been called, HYUNCHEOL continues on. “if you have any questions as to any of this, please don’t hesitate to let a staff know. i must be off now,” he finishes, quickly collecting his belongings and leaving the room.

ACTIVITIES: write a thread with 4 replies (minimum 8 lines) with any participants about any of the activities (private conversations in between activities aren’t valid, threads must happen when the cameras rolling). if you choose to write about episodes where the soon-to-be and currently debuted V&A members ( JUNKYU, YOOJOON, AKIO, HYUNTAE, SEOJIN ) are present, you may do so. completing this will give +6 POINTS IN ANY SKILL SET DISTRIBUTION, +4 NOTORIETY. ** for everyone, including the V&A members participating in this event **

The Legacy life was unpredictable. Some days you spend all day sweating in a practice room, marinating in your slightly damp joggers until you feel disgusted by your own scent. On other days, however, you'd have opportunities that allowed you to go out and have fun. Seyoon enjoyed those days so much more!

"Nathan! Nathan!" He called out, waving enthusiastically at his fellow trainee. "Look."

This episode of the variety show felt like a school field trip with that cool ginkgo forest tour followed by lunch. Seyoon forgot he was on camera for a while and focused on playing. By the time he realized that he was still part of a variety show, he had already eaten way too much and was in desperate need to walk it off. If they had a running segment in the afternoon, he'd be done for.

Fortunately, they all went to alpacaworld instead.

Seyoon posed next to an alpaca, trying to mimic its exact pose. He relaxed his jaw, narrowed his eyes, and rolled his shoulders to loosen them as he attempted to capture its nonchalant expression. Seyoon thought he was doing a fantastic job, but wanted someone to verify, which was why he wanted Nathan to come and see. "What do you think?" He tried to speak without moving his lips much, still diligently pretending to be an alpaca.

"okay, but the thing is ... i'm okay with the shark," she says with a grin, looking amused because she's trying to decide if she wants to be mean with her choices or not. "are you locking those in as your choices if you win?" somin asks, tilting her head slightly to the side. she thinks this is a fun way to decide to do something, already enjoying their time together despite only meeting a few minutes ago.

she walks around and checks all the different options, holding out her hand for the rock paper scissors round. she's planning not to tell him what she's chosen until after they see who wins though, wanting to keep it a surprise now that all the cameras were trained on them.

"rock paper scissors," she says, holding out her fist and waiting for him to also put his hand in. "also, i want to go on the t-express first before the line gets too long," she adds before glancing at the cameras trained on them, a grin on her lips.

"okay, rock paper scissors!" she chats, throwing scissors after.

"we could match and wear the same ones," nathan hums, even going so far as to raise a hand to tap a finger against his chin in brash thought – but something pops up in the corner of his eyes that sparks an idea in his head. "or we could play rock-paper-scissors, and the winner picks for both of us?" he suggests with a smirk.

he slyly walks over to a nearby wall of headbands to pull one down in particular – one with a plushie larger in size than most of the designs here, drawing massive attention to the cartoonish shark whose mouth is agape as if devouring the wearer's head.

"cat ears are cute and all, but c'mon – this one would look great on you," he half-teases, half-compliments before reaching for a rather modest headband of mickey ears nearby. "and i'll wear this one, to balance everything out," he barely makes out without a laugh.

to inha with love

Parker did his best not to make a sound as he slipped out of the dressing rooms and made his way over to where the photographer was working with one of his members. Hands pushed into his pockets, he walked lightly, tiptoeing over and around wires and boxes full of equipment, offering smiles to the crew who caught his eye. It would be easy to stop and chat with someone, anyone, just to pass the time until he was called for his solo shots, but much like a curious cat, Parker couldn’t help but stick his nose into other peoples business, at least when said person was @lgcnathan. 

It had been months since Parker debuted in Type Zero, but despite what some fans might assume, he wasn’t instant best friends with the members, though it wasn’t without trying. In Nathan’s case, Parker couldn’t help but feel like something drew him towards the other— something red, white, and blue and smelling distinctly of freedom (or was that smell of McDonalds fries). 

“Well don’t you look handsome,” Parker commented in his mother tongue, teasing in his tone the moment he was sure the photographer was done for the time being. Parker smiled wide and happily as he approached the taller boy.

yejin solo / feelings

the news came quickly, out of nowhere. then again, yejin knew he was tired and losing his spark. never had she thought that the result would end with him wanting to break up with her, even though she agreed to it. it was still heartbreaking, because she didn't want to be the one thing that reminded him of this life and he was also going back to the us.

they had barley been a couple, and she had liked him for so long.

her heart was heavy.

yejin hadn't let it sink in properly but here she was, after having been with nathan for only a few months. what had felt like it was a blessing, was now weighing heavuily on her heart.

if anything she figured she would have to at least be lucky for him to leave for a bit, that way she wouldn't see him. he would be out of sight and out of mind. even though she would still remember their first kiss... and the moment she starts thinking about it it is too late, she quickly makes a swift exit to hide behind a wall, holding back her tears for what feels like forever.

it was for the best.

they would live too different lives, and yejin would just be a burden to him.

breathe. she tells herself.

just breathe.

it will be alright, eventually everything heals.

the worst part wasn't even that they broke up because the other lacked feelings, no - yejin still likes him very much, she doesn't know what he feels but she certainly knows that he didn't lose feelings for her either.

maybe she would find hayoung... or somin, she needed a shoulder to rest on right about now. what else should she do, her heart felt like it was in a million pieces.
