“Speak for yourself!” Parker counters with a laugh. He knows he’s capable of doing something passable but drawing is hard. His smile fades a bit as he focuses back down on his paper and tries to connect whatever little artistic thought he has together. He can hear what Kai is saying but at the same time it goes over his head, at least enough that all he can do is nod in response. Letting out a small huff of breath, he raises his pencil back up and starts drawing a rectangle and then another, and another, until a small, boxy skyline comes together. Crooked windows and all. 

Moving to one side, the draws a few zig-zag lines and some more rounded shapes. A dinosaur standing in front of his city. He pauses and mentally shrugs to himself before adding on some thick eyebrows above the eyes. It’s about then when Kai holds up his paper and Parker turns his attention back to the younger man. The sight of his drawings are actually cute and charming and it’s hard for him not to smile at them. “I think that definitely fits. Barely a year in and you already know your brand.” 

“I think I need to color it in but this is what I have so far,” he says, lifting up his paper to share too. “It’s the best I got.” 

"Mm, I wouldn’t say we’re bad!" Kai chirps, a playful lilt in his voice as his pen taps thoughtfully against the paper. Truthfully, his artistic strengths have always leaned more toward manga-style sketches than the sleek, minimalist designs often seen on merchandise. But maybe, just maybe, he could merge the two; let his manga-esque flair bring something unique to his skateboard design this time around.

"Just... incredibly detailed!" he continues with a light laugh, his words carrying the kind of exaggerated conviction meant to amuse more than convince. "I mean, think about it: the greatest, most expensive paintings? They’re the ones with the most depth. Like ours. True masterpieces."

Another laugh escapes as his hand moves deftly across the page, breathing life into a rough sketch of a tiny duckling surrounded by sunflowers. It’s simple yet unmistakably Kai, his style shining through in the cheerful, slightly whimsical lines.

He swivels the paper to face Parker, wide, curious brown eyes blinkine. "What do you think about this? Sunflowers, ducks, and yellow... it feels like the trifecta of me, doesn’t it? Pretty sure that’s what the fans would say reminds them of me the most."

There had been a few end-of-year special stages Parker had taken part in during the few years since he debuted, and honestly, it was something he almost looked forward to. There was no guarantee what would be proposed, but there was always something extra fun when he got to do something with people outside of his own group. 

Their group name had already been announced ( supernova ) and the ice broken with the yaja game, and now really came practice. It had been some time since Parker had practiced with a group not his own, so it was hard to miss differences in people's habits, nor was it hard to really get over the fact that they all still needed to practice with their own groups for other performances. However, even if practices needed to be somewhat more focused, it was hard not to rest in between and socialize some. 

“I’m willing to bet someone is going to make a comment when all this comes out that I don’t look like I can be your hyung.” The older idol teases as he settles next to Minjun, taking a moment to uncap his water bottle. He’s all good humor and smiles as he glances up at the young man. “ ‘Ah, Parker-oppa, I could have sworn you were one of the youngest all along.’ ” His voice is pitched to sound more like a teasing female fan.

Parker is one to typically embrace new things, and go into them head first, but that doesn’t mean he’s never scared or nervous. Those seem to manifest more internally, though when pressed, he’s not really the type to deny it. If someone were to ask if he were nervous about hosting such a big event (which they did… on multiple occasions), there was really no denying it. Every time he’d let out a bashful laugh and nod, but ultimately promise to try his best. And he did. He would always try his best, but to say he was anywhere near Eunhye’s level would be a lie. A huge one, and all he could really do is to keep up. 

The practices helped, as well as the euncouragement from the staff and even his managers. He could sing and dance in front of large crowds but to have to stand still and speak clearly in not his native language was completely different. Thankfully, most of the gasp in certain words were helped by asking others for help, leaving his cards marked with phonetic guides and notes in written in English.

This was exciting and a great opportunity but he had to constantly remind himself not to shake his leg so much while getting his hair and make up done. “Sorry again…” and he means it, quickly switching his focus from his cue cards to his phone. Yes, yes, a distraction. Naturally his family group chat had been non-stop, despite the time difference. 

“You’re going to do great!!!!!”  “Your father is going to record the stream!”  “I believe in you but don’t embarrass us~” 

Needless to say his family was supportive. Just like every one else, but it wouldn’t be until they opened the show did Parker think it would really sink in. And the sometimes the best way to get over a fear was to jump right in… he had survived that jump before, so what was one more?

On many occasions, Parker has been aware that he is not an artist in any other way than musical because whenever he’s asked to draw something it’s… well, it’s not great. He can typically find something passable or that he’s happy enough with but for the most part, he just lacks the spark between his brain and any kind of drawing utensil. That said, he’s always willing to try because it’s for the fans. Yeah, he wishes he was better, but at least the fans are enough to accept his shortcomings. 

He’s currently on this third piece of paper, weird squiggles and scratches seeming to be a connecting theme between the first two. “Not really..” He replies to Kai, glancing up at the younger boy and then back down at his paper. Maybe he could use his emoji as the theme? He makes a face to himself and the paper before looking up and over at Kai’s work. “What about you? You got anything?” 

When he catches Kai doing the same thing, he can’t help but laugh and lean back in his chair. “Yeah, it’s cool. Honestly, I was thinking how much the fans seem to love when we personalize stuff— even if we’re bad.” He lets out a chuckle. “They must really love us, huh?”

It still amazes Kai just how much creative input the band members get when it comes to Type Zero's projects, activities and merchandise. He vividly recalls the thrill of designing his own microphone and in-ear monitor just a few months ago. Now, he’s seated at a table, pen poised over a blank sheet of paper, @lgcparker beside him. This time, the challenge is to come up with a design for his season greeting’s skateboard.

A whirlwind of ideas spins in his head—some bold and innovative, others radiating that unmistakable Kai vibe his fans would instantly recognize. He leans back in his chair with a small sigh, letting his fingers drum lightly on the edge of the table before turning his attention to Parker.

Curious brown eyes flicker with interest as he tilts his head slightly. "Have you thought of anything yet, hyung?" Kai asks, peeking at the sketch Parker is working on. "Pretty cool that we get to be involved in the season’s greetings this year, huh?"

Parker lets out a small, breathy chuckle at Hyoseop’s question, his own sleep deprivation softening his usual enthusiasm but not his fondness for his members. For someone his size, Hyoseop is quite cute. “I don’t think the teachers will be deducting points for your appearance,” he comments with a small fond smile. Perhaps one might tease the other man about his hair but at least they won't be public-facing today— as far as he knows, there won't be any kind of behind-the-scenes filming for this comeback. “Yeah. At least it’ll keep it flat and away from your eyes.” 

Nodding, Parker lets out a small groan as he stands up once more. “It doesn’t seem like Christmas without a bit a snow.” It’s a strange comment to make given it never snowed where he grew up in California, but after being in Korea for the last 6 years, he had grown used to and even expected it. “If it snows enough maybe we can have a snowball fight,” he adds with a laugh that’s a bit more lively than before. Dragging his socked feel across the floors, he reaches the door and pulls it open to lead the way. 

“Common, let’s go. I’ll buy you coffee at the cafe when we get to the company building.”

Parker’s eyes are still a bit glassy with sleep and his hair is far from idol like when he returns from brushing his teeth and washing his face, sluggishly tossing his towel on his unkempt bed. Some days are harder than others to get up, and the fact it’s winter doesn’t help much at all. While the heated floors are nice, pulling himself out of bed in the cold, dark takes even more energy than he has to spare, but he does it. Partly because he has no choice. Now that they have their new members and the songs for their next album, they have practices and a lot of them. “You ready?” Parker asks his roommate, sparing the rapper a small, tired glance before he goes about to try and locate some socks and beanie to throw on before their manager starts calling their phones, urging them to hurry up. He finds a beanie he thinks is his and some socks that might actually be Baekhyun’s, and sits back down on his bed to pull them on. “I wonder if it snowed last night— it’s cold.” He comments, casting a glance towards the window, only a bit of sky peaking through the split in the curtains.

hyoseop is excited for their comeback, mainly because he actually likes the songs for this comeback (unlike with good boy gone bad). there’s been added new members to the group, hyoseop figured it would happen eventually, type zero is good at losing old members and gaining new members. he knew seyoon a little prior to his addition, jaejin not so much. they both seem sweet enough, still, hyoseop is glad to have parker remain being his roommate, he enjoys sharing a room with someone he actually knows. 

he’s finished changing his clothes, brushing his teeth, putting on make up, but he’s found his way back to his bed, relaxing his eyes for a bit. “if i’m ready?” he groans, forcing himself to sit back up. “i haven’t styled my hair yet” he runs a hand through his hair”it should be okay to go a day without styling it, shouldn’t it?” he pouts “i’ll just put on a cap, then nobody will know” he shrugs. “if it snowed? that’d be nice, wouldn’t it? it’d be pretty” he hums a bit. he falls back into his bed “man, i’m so tired”.

On one hand, maybe he should be more aware of his surroundings, but it really isn’t a normal occurrence to actually, physically run into someone, despite how busy the company building can be at times. But just because it doesn’t happen often, doesn’t mean it would never. Truely it’s more the suddenness more than it is the actual impact that catches Parker off guard and his hands insinctually fly up to catch onto the person’s shoulders in an attempt to steady both of them. 

“Ah! Woah!” Eyes wide, it takes him a moment for his brain to actually catch up but once it does, he can’t help but laugh softly. “You okay?” He asks, genuinely, making sure the younger is steady before letting go of her. Her question, though, confuses him and with a small delay he looks down at his clothes and hands, looking for any marks. He had been on his way down to the artist studios and had dressed casually in a dark blue hoodie and jeans, probably a better choice than the white sweatshirt he had considered putting on instead. “I think I’m fine,” he replies, soft good humor in his voice. 

“What’s got you in a rush?” Clocking the agenda he steps to one side to make it easy for her to pass him. “Do you have a group meetings? I don’t want to hold you up.”

things have gotten shockingly busy at the end of this year. although this is not sena's first rodeo juggling year-end events, but it's her first time tackling them as an idol with over a year of experience. after being hand-held by the company last year, sena decided she wanted to have a little bit more 'leader responsibility' this year, and has taken it upon herself to create a schedule outside of their time with the choreographer to work together on special stages for the awards shows.

and so, today, she finds herself running around the company building from staff office to staff office, figuring out all the little details; when the choreography sessions are going to be, when they'll be recording backing tracks, when their other various schedules are; and after each of these interactions, penciling the schedules she's given into a calendar. in fact, she's in the process of (speed) walking while writing when she finds herself smashed right into parker, her immediate natural reaction being to scream and jump back.

once she realizes what's happened, she begins to apologize "i'm so sorry, i should have been watching where i was walking," she says, bending down to retrieve the agenda and her pen from the floor. "did i get any pen marks on your outfit? i'll replace it if you need."
