game on
@lgcyeonwoo
the game’s just beginning. don’t be the last one standing.
The words written across the screen of Parker’s phone seem to be embedded into Parker’s mind as he looks down at the device. Even when he looks away at the chaos of the scene, they play in the back of his mind. He could share, easily walk up to an investigator, but either way, he knows this puts a target on his back and so he remains quiet while he slips the device back into his pocket, somewhat more conscious of the people around him.
He swallows just enough to wet his pallet before he moves to one side, and strains his body to one side to see if he can see anything more. Those with access to the VIP area were told to not move too far there’s not much more that he can do than wait, or perhaps see what others know. It’s about then when he notices Mr. Won, a name almost too perfect for an investor.
Hm, perfect.
“You would think there was a dead body with the amount of people here,” he comments with an easy smile, naturally turning his attention onto the other man. Eyes naturally finding the other’s with the comfort of a natural extrovert. “I wouldn’t be surprised if it were a jealous competitor— surely, that’s easy enough to let the rest of us go.”

He should have expected this. He knows he should have, but perhaps he was naive or even a little hopeful that Hyuk would allow the news to roll off him. But all of this had been assumptions because there was only so much that could be said. He had been told by their managers that they would be having new members and he knew Hyuk was in a special group; it was really because he had been in a similar situation once that he kind of pieced things together but was mindful not to say a thing. He didn’t want to get either of them in trouble and more than that he didn’t want to jinx it.
Though clearly that hadn’t helped.
Parker’s expression softened considerably and without another word, he moved forward to give the younger a hug, He didn’t bother to ask if it was okay because he knew that nothing he could say would truly fix the disappointment currently flooding through Hyukjae. “You are good enough,” he says softly, one hand rubbing into his back. “The competition is just really tough…” he trails off a bit, heart hurting. There were many reasons why it would be a bad idea for Hyuk to be in Type Zero but also so much more why Parker wished he had. For one, it would have made him happy. And Parker liked to see him happy.
“Did they give you any feedback?” he inquires cautiously.
his first instinct was to feel some sort of jealousy, just as hyuk understood he wasn’t alone inside the studio. then, the most sane part of him recognized the touch, followed by the voice and he visibly relaxed, shoulders trembling a little as his nervousness kicked in, exposing him.
hyuk felt vulnerable and he hated that, he hated to be seen as weak (and that was the main reason why he hurried to the studio whenever things reached that peak), he hated that people could have that tool to hurt him anytime.
“didn’t you hear the news?”, hyuk’s voice still held some kind of weakness, his throat hurt a little because of the scream and he was ashamed to look back, to face parker and show him his true colors.
hyuk didn’t feel pretty, he didn’t feel confident or flirty. he felt like a failure. unworthy of even being beside someone like parker.
“i got denied my debut again. hyukjae isn’t enough.” he wanted to say more, he wanted to add a few other depreciating words, but just admitting those felt like he was being pulled to the deepest seas.

We NEED to TALK about Parker’s promotional stuff with Passion5! Like, no offense to the others, but ever since Parker joined Type Zero, he’s been my baby! He’s just so small and cute and funny! I’ve only managed to attend a few fan meetings, but he always manages to put a smile on my face. Truly, I think he is a great fit for TZ but his personality and voice are so sweet! Just adding him to the Passion5 roster makes him absolutely irresistible! I really really hope more people see his ads and get more interested in him!! He really, really deserves it!! I’ve seen some of the other commercials already but waiting for his!! Ah!! Passion5 please upload it soon!! I need to see my love! I promise I’ll buy cakes every week if you do it soon!!
[ + / - ] i think you're kind of unhinged but i get it. parker is my favorite too... but i definitely don't have the money right now to buy pastries every week. [ + / - ] gross. maybe rethink your wording... and maybe consider getting better taste in idols while you're at it. [ + / - ] you know they're going to upload the cf regardless of your please? maybe calm down and be normal. also are you sure he's not your favorite because he's the only one who has stayed more than two years?

There’s a chance they’re both wrong and making a fool of themselves for a lens not aimed at them, but given the event, there’s a good chance that it doesn’t matter. These kinds of events are a melting pot of various fandoms and fansites, all vying for the best shots of their idols (and the ability to gloat at their awards). The gloating part was based on watching one of his sisters, but he didn’t think she was an anomaly. Anyway, at the very least they would still be captured by someone and it would make them happy, as well as disguise Parker’s assumption to some degree.
Hyoseop’s response makes Parker smile and he nods. He’s a friendly person regardless, so skinship and fanservice don’t bother him in the least. Perhaps the fanfic stuff was really weird but at least for the benefit of fans, he was always up for a fun shot. He hums and smiles at his member in response. “What kind? Heart? Cool?” In a very uncool way, he turns his attention towards the crowd and puts on a flirty but obviously kind of silly face. Definitely not cool, but he can barely hear a rise in volume from some of the nearby crowd.

Hanteo Music Awards, so far now, Parker settles in his seat and claps along with the other artists and the crowd as a newer girl group concludes their performance. As the camera shifts back on the hosts, Parker spends a moment watching the stage crew reset and prepare for the next performance, and then back towards where the fans are sitting. A good number of them are excitedly watching the hosts, lightsticks in hand, but the portion of the crowd closest to them has their eyes on them and the other idols seated. The low lights of the hall catch on phone cases and the lenses of cameras, and Parker can’t help but chuckle before turning towards Hyoseop. “Is that one of yours?” He asks, gesturing politely towards one of the girls holding a particularly large camera. He wouldn’t say he knows all of his fansites but this one looks familiar and not, but her focus /is/ in his direction. The very mild recognition, therefore, makes him wonder if it’s another member’s fan. “Go on! Pose! Make a handsome face~!” He teases, leaning forward so the other idol can hear him over the speakers and the crowd.
another award show. hyoseop sits still, hands on his thigh as he looks around, not letting his eyes land on someone for too long. maybe he’s overthinking it, but he fears if he looks at someone for a bit too long, dating rumours might arise. prior to being an idol, hyoseop wasn’t aware of how much he would care about dating rumours. he was afraid of doing anything wrong, he was aware that no truthful rumours would arise as he wasn’t interested in dating at the moment, but there was still the chance of fake dating rumours coming his way. he keeps his distance to female idols, though if you knew hyoseop well, he flirts way more with dudes.
hyoseop looks as parker points, returning with a shrug “i’m not sure” truly hyoseop didn’t keep much attention to fansites, he barely even noticed when they took pictures of him. “pose?” he pouts his lips before shaking his head “i don’t look good on photos, at least not as good as in real life” he shrugs. “do a pose with me, will you?” he shows a smile to parker.

"Boo!" Parker replies when Hyoseop refuses his suggestion but it's undoubtuibly in good fun. It really doesn’t matter what any of them pick, especially once the cameras are on them and the director has taken charge. They are very clearly on a soundstage, but through the lens, the three idols are very clearly inside a living room. A living room arguably nicer (cleaner) and more elaborate than their own.
“Well either you try and win or you accept your loss!” Parker jokes, leaning over to nudge at the young man. He doesn’t know if the audio will be use or mainly just their actions, but he likes to think his words are appropriate either way. What’s a game without a little teasing? “Just because you’re the youngest doesn’t mean we’ll go easy on you, so I expect the same even if we’re girls.” Parker stops and thinks, mentally steps back and corrects himself. “We’re playing girls, I mean!” His head tips back as he laughs happily.
In a matter of moments, the game has officially started and Parker’s attention shifts to fully focus on the screen. Yeah, he said he didn’t care if he won or lost, but that sentiment only means so much when they’re not playing to now. He’s a boy with pride, after all. “A-ha! Take that Hyoseop!” He comments, getting a good hit on Peach, though really not enough to fully push her off the platform. Not yet, anyway.
@lgchyoseop
The comments draw a laugh from him, a soft, almost sheepish sound, because, truthfully, this isn’t the first time he’s been told he resembles Link. In fact, he even dressed as the iconic hero for last year’s Halloween event. "Hmm, I suppose so. There must be some kind of spiritual connection between Link and me." he muses with another chuckle.
His gaze shifts to his bandmates as they select their characters, and his expression shifts in real-time, eyes widening, brows arching, lips forming a small "o" of surprise. There’s no masking his reaction. "Isabelle and Peach?" he exclaims. "How am I supposed to fight against two adorable characters with umbrellas?"
The exaggerated whine is a rare departure from his usual gaming persona; typically sharp, competitive. But he knows the point of this isn’t to dominate; it’s to entertain. No one wants to watch a tryhard. "Alright then," he grins, rolling his shoulders as if preparing for battle. "Let’s see who wins—the sword or the umbrella."
He follows the staff’s instructions, letting the stage selection remain random. "Ready, guys?"

“Let’s see. It was after I worked on the yacht of that electronics CEO— he was really into warm water fish, and the amount he would pay for us to import swordfish from the Australian coast— well, that was certainly an extravagance. I’m personally not the biggest fan of swordfish, but if prepared correctly, it’s hard to refuse, and if I must say, I have perfected my recipe. Ah, that’s actually a good idea. Perhaps once this thing blows over, I’ll prepare swardfish for the next trip; my lemon and butter sauce sounds simple, but that’s what makes it difficult. Simple things can be the most misleading.” The chef rambles on before his mind circles back to the question at hand. “Two going on three years,” Parker replies to Hyoseop’s question with a nod, the rest of his body language as relaxed as one could be given the circumstances. He would much rather be back in his kitchens, prepping for tomorrow, than here, but even he knows how poor it would look if he were to try and excuse himself. He tips his head to one side as he listens to teach one of his peers speak and bring up their theories and accusations. Just like he couldn’t blame the scrutiny he would face if he were to dismiss himself, he couldn’t help but be interested in the situation itself.
Pushing a hand through his hair, he lets his mind wonder just a moment until Carter inquires about the kitchens, and the chef can’t help but go momentarily rigid. Naturally, he was protective over his sacred space, but the request was reasonable enough. “Yes, I don’t see the problem with that, but remember, it’s not a place to be playing around in. All our pots and utensils aren’t toys and very expensive. Ingredients are important, but so are the tools you make them with. The fact that someone came in and decided it was okay to leave a pot on the heat until it burnt and adhered to the surface— not to mention that it could have easily burned down the whole train but the pot is near ruined! This is exactly why I would prefer for people not to poke around with proofing the dough for tomorrow's dinner, and the last thing we need is another thing ruined. It is winter, and naturally, the warmth is necessary!”
The comment about the flamingos is a bit odd, even for Su and he nods a bit dumbly before a thought occurs to him. “Shrimp! Shrimp is also what gives them such nice color, isn’t that right? I do think we have some shrimp in the freezer car— perhaps there is still time for me to change over the chef’s special for tomorrow. They’re not swordfish, but I think it’ll still be a hit!”
“What do you think, Choi? Do you think the first-class passengers would agree? Especuilly given this whole incedient, I’m sure something a bit unexpected will put a few people in better sorts.” Perhaps it was because of the fact they worked with each other for a bit of time, but the Parker’s disposition towards the Clerk was easy as ever. Of course, someone who took such pride in their work would do something that would literally derail their journey.
@lgckai
Porter Carter’s fingers twitched at the thought of a drink, his throat suddenly dry, but when Sculptor Kwon’s words rang out, unease settled over him. Had he heard something? He wasn’t sure, but Kwon’s insistence made him reconsider.
“Did I hear anything?” he repeated too quickly. “Well, I was focused on cleaning, but… there was a lot going on—people moving about, talking... I didn’t hear anything loud or strange, but maybe I was just too caught up in my work to notice. It’s possible I missed something.”
Groom Cha’s sharp words shifted his attention. Carter caught Cha’s gaze—seemed they were thinking the same thing. Something about Medical Student Kim felt off, like he was too quick to rule himself out.
“I noticed that too,” he said quietly, glancing at Cha. “Seems like Kim’s very quick to dismiss himself. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?” He paused, adding, “Did you know in ancient Greece, grapes were thought to keep away evil spirits? Not relevant, but interesting.”
Then Groom Cha pushed further, asking how long everyone had worked on the train. The Porter’s pulse quickened. How long had he been here? He didn’t want to seem defensive, but someone who worked here would know the layout, where to hide things, and where to escape.
“I’ve been here a few years,” Porter Carter replied, trying to sound casual. “Long enough to know the ins and outs, where things are kept, where someone might hide something... or how to get away unnoticed.” His eyes flicked to Ticket Clerk Choi and Chef Su. “Same for Choi and Su, I’m sure. We all know the place pretty well.”
Groom Cha was sweating, clearly uncomfortable under the scrutiny. The tension in the air was thick. The suspicion was mounting. The Porter cleared his throat, realizing there was something he hadn’t mentioned earlier—the missing towel. It had been nagging at him, and now he couldn’t keep it to himself.
“Actually, there’s something I should have said earlier,” the Porter began, his voice steady . “I noticed a missing towel near the dining car. I was cleaning, and it was just gone. Not sure if it’s significant, but it could have been used to clean something up or even hide something. Worth mentioning.”
The conversation paused, but his gaze shifted to Chef Su. “Would you have a problem if we checked the kitchen? I think it’s worth a look. Could be something there we’re missing.”He noticed how Chef Su had been rambling earlier—too much for someone who wasn’t nervous. Why ramble unless… The thought lingered, but the Porter pushed it down, not letting it show.
He couldn’t help but insert an irrelevant tidbit, his reflex kicking in. “Did you know that a group of flamingos is called a ‘flamboyance’? Odd, but I think it suits the situation. A little too much flair for comfort, don’t you think?”

Hiatus.
Hi, hi. Just letting people know I will be on hiatus for the next month. If I can, I will still try to do replies, but I really just want to cover my ass in the coming weeks. I may still be reached on dc, if you have me, but just know it may take me a bit to get back to you.
Of course, this hiatus goes towards both Ichika and @lgcparker.

It’s between songs that Parker hears the beeping behind him, and his brow furrows while quickly leans forward to pause what he’s listening to and remove his headphones. The confusion sticks as he turns in his seat, about to speak but completely taken off guard by the sight of Hyuk entering the room. To his knowledge, the younger man hadn’t texted him to let him know he was coming by, or even checking if he was around— and then he heard the yell. It’s pained and frustrated and awakens every alarm in his head.
Within a moment he’s on his feet, a faction of a second lost when his headphones hold him back before they tugged off, and Parker steps forward with his hand out. The room is still mostly dark, kept that way on purpose so the idol could zone out a bit between work, so it’s his hands that find the other’s shoulder and gently curl into the fabric of his sleeve.
“What’s wrong?” There’s no hiding the levels of concern in Parker’s voice, the center of his brow aching with worry. Because of course, he’s worried. This is so unlike Hyuk and he wants to— needs to know what’s going on, and how to help. “Are you okay? Did something happen?”
safest place to hide, with @lgcparker
hyuk was beyond frustrated, again. sure it had been weeks since the news broke and he wasn’t picked as a member of type zero, but the anger sometimes returned full force and he couldn’t even control it.
correction, it wasn’t anger; it was something else. it was the feeling of almost achieving something, of nearly being there, of nearly making it. the feeling of being a failure, of not being enough and not knowing what he missed, what he didn’t do.
when those feelings started to crawl up his skin and he was so desperate he was afraid of crossing the line with anyone that spoke to him, his safe place was parker’s studio. he was thankful the older man allowed him to lock himself there anytime he felt like and hyuk admittedly spent an unhealthy amount of time in there, most of time just venting off, crying or even sleeping.
punching the familiar password and hearing the door clicking, he entered the studio and locked himself inside, the lights still off, and a familiar frustrated yell escaped his lips.
what he missed was the fact he wasn’t alone in there anymore.

As this interrogation of sorts, Chef Su seems only half interested as he flips through the small notebook full of recipes in his hand. Tragedy or not, he had people to feed, and what could really be the reason that they should stick their noses in something that should be taken up by the authorities? Well, well, he can at least figure out breakfast.  He leans his head against the wall of the car, still in thought when Porter Carter and his gaze turns towards the other man with one of his usual smiles. “You would be in a rush too if your staff forgot to bring up all the ingredients for dinner.”
Sitting up a bit, turns a bit to better look at the gentlemen around him. “I go through all this trouble cutting and coring the apples. They were the most beautiful apples too. I had to speak to five farmers before this trip to find the best quality and the battle I had to have about keeping them in pristine condition in the refrigerator car! With all the heat of the kitchens, letting them sit out for a moment too long would put them in danger! Imagine if someone bruised the poor things! And, the freshness makes all the difference. The same goes for the ingredients. Any fruit can be bought at the store, but the best farmer knows you really need to take care of them because the customer can taste the difference! Imagine if they had been bruised, or mealy— the whole desert would have been ruined. From the apples to the doubt, it’s a whole ecosystem. But for a food apple, it must not be too sweet, and if anything a tiny bit of tartness brings out it’s charm. It’s a perfect dance! The same care has to be put into the pastry! If you do not fold and incorporate everything correctly, it’s no longer flaky and light! If Mr. Kwon knows art, then he can appreciate the beauty of this too! I tell this to my staff all the time! It’s the ingredients! But then again I  told the sous chef to remember to bring out the lemons to add to the filling, but she thought the limes from the drinks car would suffice. But she is really a good chef. I already said I would write her a recommendation to a restaurant in the city once her contract is done— it’s the same one I worked at a few years back, and the owner really values quality, but also they spend too much money on keeping exotic birds. Oh! Anyway, about the sauce! The sauce! I understand the confusion but the taste is not exactly the same, and not to mention the amount paid for the perfect taste—it simply cannot be replaced. But passion is more important than pride, so I had to rush out for myself! Ah, but if I took too long then the whole thing was ruined. The customers expect a certain quality from me so if I must do something myself, how can I complain!. Ah, but I love my craft. ”
There’s a moment of quiet once he’s done rambling but the same easy smile on Chef Su’s face persists, like he doesn’t see anything wrong with the mess or words that spilled out of his mouth. Instead, he turns his attention in the direction of Ticket Clerk Choi. “But you can understand perfection, can’t you, Choi?”
For a moment the chef pauses and blinks, head tipping to one side, remembering something he heard from before. “Though I believe I heard one of my staff mention a bit of a mess of papers in the dining car. Do you recall what that was about?”
Porter Carter adjusted his hat with a scoff, his smile slipping for just a moment as Sculptor Kwon’s words hit home. “Careless? Really?” he said, his tone sharp with indignation. “I take a lot of pride in what I do, Mr. Kwon. Every glass, every seat, every detail on this train is handled because I make sure it’s done right. Did you know the average porter on a luxury train like this racks up about 10 miles a day? about 22,000 steps. That’s a lot of steps to keep things running smoothly. So yeah, things go missing. Sometimes, people lose track, or, let’s face it, some guests pocket souvenirs. It’s just part of the job.” He shrugged lightly, his voice softening as the edge faded. Porter prided himself on keeping his cool, but he hated having to defend his work—it wasn’t like Kwon understood the grind of running a train. “Doesn’t mean I didn’t notice. I just know when something’s worth worrying about—and when it’s not.”
Leaning back against the counter, he scanned the room, his mind lingering on something that had been bothering him since he noticed it—the footprints. “Unlike Mr. Kwon, I’m no artist, so maybe I lack a refined eye,” he said with a roll of his eyes. “But I can tell when something feels off. Like those wet footprints near the kitchen—strange, isn’t it? It wasn’t raining when we entered the tunnel, and no one’s mentioned tracking in wet shoes.” He let the thought hang for a moment, his gaze shifting across the room with quiet calculation.
The Porter’s attention turned to Chef Su, his grin returning, though it lacked its usual warmth. There was something about the chef’s demeanor—too calm, almost calculated—that felt slightly off. “Chef, I know your kitchen is a busy place—always something cooking, right? But those footprints… They don’t lead anywhere else. Just your door. And you stepped out of the kitchen, didn’t you? Right around the time this whole mess started.” He tilted his head slightly, studying Su’s face for a reaction, as if searching for a crack in the calm.
“Kind of makes you wonder what was so urgent it couldn’t wait,” he added, glancing briefly at the others before looking back at Su. His tone dipped slightly, just enough to show he wasn’t entirely joking. “Feels a little… out of character for you, Chef. Care to explain?”

Parker’s brow is furrowed for a bit, taking away from his normally happy expression as he clicks through the various characters. Does he want to be useful or does he want to be funny? He scrunched his nose for a moment, as he paused for a moment on Sonic. Despite his less-than-deep thought, he’s still listening and glances up at Kai. “Is it also because you look like him?” He jokes, recalling the younger man’s Halloween costume.
A few people are milling around behind the cameras around them, but it’s clear that shooting for the commercials will commence soon. They’ve already been briefed on the company’s vision and how it’s of they shouldn’t hold back their expression, if anything, they should exaggerate them whenever possible.
On the TV screen, his box flicks a few over and stops at the little blonde dogs from Animal Crossing, and he again ponders if he wants to win or be funny. For a half moment he considers just picking Peach but seeing the little dog — Isabelle — fight seems pretty fun and he doesn’t need to win (but it’d be funny if he did). Clicking select he leans forward to look at Hyoseop, grinning. “You should pick the WII Fit lady,” he teases. @lgchyoseop
tz bros.
Kai’s inner gamer heart feels like it’s on fire as he sits among his bandmates and fellow models, handpicked to unveil the new Nintendo Switch 2 console. For someone who’s been a lifelong gamer, this moment feels surreal: sitting in front of cameras, the brand-new joystick comfortably resting in his hands, about to pick his fighter for the next Super Smash Bros match.
“Who are you guys going for?” he asks, excitement spilling into his voice as his gaze darts to his left, where @lgcparker sits, and then to his right, where @lgchyoseop is already scanning the character options.
It’s a perfect setup—Kai and two of his bandmates teaming up for one of his all-time favorite Nintendo games, a different view from their usual bold concepts and razor-sharp choreography. “I’m going with Link. The one and only!” he announces, confidence radiating from his grin as he locks in his character and picks one of Link’s many outfits.
