And I remember seeing that Nex Benedict was trending.

And I really need to tell you guys how much that meant to me. I don't know how long it trended for, I don't know how long it lasted, but it made me feel so hopeful. Hopeful that some way, these cover ups for stuff like Nex Benedict's death, will never actually get to tumblr. And I feel like everyone on here gives every single being a chance to be seen.

So what's the problem? That there are people in the world that don't want to look at or think about non-binary people even if the person in question is a fictional character in a kids cartoon?

How else is one supposed to spread acceptance of nonbinary people? Because obviously you and your whole family refuse to talk about it to your kids, and there's some kind of ban happening in schools, so television/public broadcast is the only way to teach them that this is a real thing and that it's okay and that they're just normal ass people.

Shipping people on the basis that they have had meaningful interactions and display trust around each other perpetuates the idea that people can't do those things platonically. Why can't people just love people without it being romantic or sexual?

People shouldn't be weird, uncomfortable or "gay"* for people to love other people platonically and display that.

*gay as a derogatory term

Also shipping real people is gross, don't do it
