It wasn't that he used that she was most concerned about it, it was what could have happened for him to relapse. "What did you take? You have to be careful using after you have been sober, Nate, you won't have the high tolerance and could overdose easier. Where are you? Please don't do anymore than you already have, because you have been sober and it could be really dangerous." Her voice was calm and to the point, but she was worried and anxious to just get to him she to see what condition he was in.

so i finally started watching euphoria (even though i already knew the general plot) and um. sorry i am physically unable to care about the rest of the show, the characters, the story, literally ANYTHING bc they decided to show us the actual saddest fucking backstory for Nate’s dad. how the fuck am i supposed to continue watching this show when there was a 100 times better plot about two best friends who are also very clearly in love in the 80s (?). BUT NO, i have to watch the version of this story where they don’t end up together and one of them ends up in a loveless marriage and subsequently becomes a terrible father/person AND im supposed to care about his shitty son and his insane friends who only care about who’s fucking who?! GIVE ME THE YEARNING 80’S GAYS YOU FUCKING COWARDS UGH

disclaimer: obviously obviously obviously i know that like. the show is supposed to be realistic and it’s way more realistic for Cal to have left Derek for his pregnant gf and whatever. but like. you CANNOT OPEN AN EPISODE LIKE THAT AND THEN EXPECT ME TO CARE ABOUT FUCKIN. although along with that euphoria has some (from what i can tell as a mostly cis person) pretty good trans rep and lesbian rep. and yk aside from all the slightly unnecessary porn scenes its actually really well written and in my experience is a really good and accurate rep of what high schools are like rn.

this was NOT supposed to be this long of a post but i had a lot of feelings so here we are. also also i really hope we get a third season but it does make me really sad that we might not ever get closure on the Lexi/Fez storyline (which i absolutely loved) due to Angus Cloud's passing. ig that all depends on if they choose to recast him tho.

Ships I ship even though they conflict with each other and the fandoms hate each other

Drarry/Dramione/any other Draco ship with some exceptions

Loved them both even though I’m not a fan of the original source. Never read the books. I’ve only seen the first two movies and bits and pieces of the others, but I like the ships. But I don’t really like Harry x Hermione, but if it’s in a fic I won’t complain about it. And I can ship Draco with literally any other student and the fics that are out there are amazing.

Zutara/Zukka

Love both. Not at the same time though. Love different things about both. But I still love both either way. Don’t get the hate both ships have for each other, cause they’re both kinda similar.

Hellcheer/Steddie

Don’t care that the fandoms hate each other cause I can read fics about both ships and love both of them equally. Didn’t even watch every season of stranger things, stopped at season two, but gifs and small clips have made me love both ships. Haven’t read a poly fic, yet, but open to it.

Rachel x Joey/Rachel x Chandler

Fell for these at different times. During the show I loved Joey and Rachel, but for fics I love Rachel and Chandler. Like they give different vibes and depending on which I want I just choose which kid of fic I want to read.

Jiara/jafe/kafe

Not 100% sure if those last two are the ship names but all three are interesting. But I do not like all three in a single ship. Last two are crack ships that have some good fics that I low key became an actual shipper.

Fexi/Lexi x Nate

The second started off as a crack ship, but there were some REALLY good fics on it that I just love it now. Wouldn’t work for the show at all and would not like it if the show let it happen cause it wouldn’t make sense, but that’s what’s the first ship is for.

Merthur/Merwaine

Either ship just works for me. There’s small things about each that just click and I can see it being a good idea. Any fic on whichever ship would just make sense.

Bamon/DamonxRose/Benzo

Absolutely love bamon with my whole heart but I can read an occasional fic about Damon and Rose. Fuck Julia for what she did to Kat cause Bonnie carried.

I could read fanfics on either ship and I’m okay with the other half being in a different ship in the meantime. Like if I’m reading about A x C I’m okay with B being in a ship I don’t like. Cause right now it’s not about A x B it’s about A x C and B is free to do whatever. (If this makes sense, it’s 3 am)

maybe cassie stops chasing terrible boys and turns to drugs or alcohol like her parents. maybe she struggles to get herself together.

retcon kat's awful ending. have her tell ethan that she freaked out about him getting close to her and she didn't mean to break up with him and she really doesn't have a terminal brain disorder because WTF SAM LEVINSON. give her a storyline that doesn't revolve around her weight.

i'm not a writer so idk, but anything is better than waiting around for another year+ for sam levinson to pull something out of his ass when the best he could come up with so far was a knock off of veronica mars.

Long post ahead

Yeah, at this point, I just hope Sam Levinson pulls a Sense8 and gives Euphoria a finale special that lasts about an hour or two so we can MOVE ON AND BE DONE WITH IT!

•Most of the writing for Season 2 was a mess and hardly felt connected to Season 1 (and now we have confirmation from Jacob Elordi and Colman Domingo that Sam DIDN’T WANT THE WRITING TO DO SO)

•Sam has stolen not one, but two shows from female writers/directors and ruined so much of what they were originally supposed to be about (which adds another reason why S1 and S2 felt so disconnected). A lot of what happened in S2 and The Idol felt like it was being done for shock value.

•There were so many unresolved plot holes in both S1 and S2 and they will probably never even be addressed in S3.

•As I said in another post, if there’s going to be a 5 year time skip, then a lot of these characters have no reason to still be associating with one another since things left off on such a bad note (Rue and Jules broke up, Maddy and Cassie aren’t friends anymore, Nate isn’t with either of them and no one likes him, a lot of the characters aren’t even really FRIENDS)

•I feel like a lot of people (especially on Twitter) are getting to a point where they are thinking “Ok, we get it. Rue is addicted to drugs. Is she ever going to have a storyline outside of that?”

•The cast is always so booked and busy that it constantly takes 3 to 4 years for a new season to be confirmed and these actors can only play teenagers/young adults but for so long.

•Kat was such a popular part of S1 and barely did anything in S2 because Barbie Ferreira didn’t want to do whatever poorly written storyline Sam Levinson had planned for Kat. It’s as if she was being punished and I’d rather the cast not be working for him if he’s just gonna do that when they feel uncomfortable doing a certain scene or storyline.

•And of course, there’s the unexpected passing of Angus Cloud. I talked about the 2 different ways the show could handle it in this post.

But it’s for all these reasons (and probably a bunch more that I’m not even thinking of right now) that I’d honestly rather the show just end after Season 3 or a 2 hour long special. Euphoria is a show that I really like, but Sam Levinson is not that great of a writer, so he just needs to wrap it up atp!
