given their past (and chemistry), do you think Fukuzawa x Fukuchi counts as an honorary soukoku duo??

For those missing context, I made a tiktok about pairings within BSD that lie along the Soukoku spectrum, because though we only have three canon SKK pairings, there are many others who just fit the bill.

To be named an honorary SKK duo, the characters within the pairing must be "very different" but actually similar, hence the name "Twin Dark" or "Double Black." They must also fit into the yin/yang symbolism we have going on (which I explain in more detail here). Here are some pairings I suggested in the video:

Rimbaud + Verlaine (rather different personalities, but make up for it with tragedy)

Yosano + Ranpo (platonic)

Sigma + Nikolai (platonic?)

Tecchou + Jouno

Tachihara + Teruko (platonic)

And because I like sharing pain, here are some non-BSD ships I consider SKK-coded:

Fukuzawa and Fukichi do make a good potential SKK pair, especially because of the angst. I think they would sit a little lower on the spectrum, though, because while they had similar beginnings, they are now incredibly different people, and they have different goals. The most important aspect of a Twin Dark pair, in my mind, is having similar (if not the same) ideals, motives and goals. That's why I didn't list Kunidazai, Atsulucy or Fyolai (all popular, wonderful ships) as SKK pairs.

The fic's name is This Reincarnation Sucks, because Jiang Cheng remembers his past life as a sect leader from Lotus Pier. When in that life Jin Ling met with a tragic end, he promised himself that he would prevent that from happening in this one. You can imagine how hard it is when you live in a world full of man-eating giants, and then Jin Ling turns into a titan himself.

And while he's supposed to fall in love with Levi later, his first impression of the man is beating his nephew half to death, so you know, not great.

It's basically a what-if retelling of snk, and Zizhen is there too because I love him and he doesn't get enough attention. I also can't wait to write about old grumpy man slowly opening up to each other and being soft while everyone is dying around them. Fun times.

If no one else will I might write another levicheng fic where Jiang Cheng lives in the underground city and he meets Levi through Jin Ling (Jin Ling was running away from Jiang Cheng because he pissed him off lmao). And when Levi hears Jiang Cheng telling Jin Ling that he's going to break his legs, yeah, he probably thinks Jiang Cheng is an asshole but Jin Ling is very free around him, so is he really? (Just a bit. Not to his nephew though)

Please I have so many ideas with levicheng and I want to cramp them all into the same fic but that's impossible so I'm stuck writing a titan JC when he's found outside the walls in his titan form, a JC who got forced to live in underground and Kuchel employs him as a babysitter and so years later Levi can reencounter him as a titanshifter after he thought JC abandoned him or died I want JC to remember being a sect leader, I want a modern au, I want stalker and pervert Levi, I want JL to be the titan and be the nephew assisting his titan uncle, I want him to be prissy and biting and protective, I want Levi to encounter them both underground and think he'll have to save JL from an abusive uncle only to realise that uncle is very much loving uncle just has a mouth on him, I want

Not sure I will ever write it because levicheng is a struggle despite my love for them but I still think about how hilarious it would be for Jin Ling to have his nightmare come true when his uncle and his teacher gets together. Them meeting during a parent-teacher conference is one thing. Them meeting while shopping is still weird, but fine, coincidence. But when they start meeting more frequently, when Jiang Cheng *invites* Levi to dinner, when Jin Ling catches them *looking* at each other with those... ugh... eyes... And when Jingyi laughs his ass off and jeeps teasing him. That's going to be his villain origin story

That being said I think it would be super funny if in a modern au Jiang Cheng owned a teashop and Jin Ling regularly complained about one of his teachers. Unknowingly, that teacher is a regular to Jiang Cheng's teashop and they'd slowly get closer and then Jin Ling gets introduced to Jiang Cheng's new boyfriend, Levi Ackerman. Who is, of course, his strict, no nonsense teacher

Probably a long shot but if I were to write titan!Jiang Cheng who loses himself a bit and forgot who he is and after his transformation he remains a titan outside the walls, who should he get interested in (and possibly kidnap, just for a little and mostly good intents)?

For those who don't know who Jiang Cheng is, he's from a Chinese novel called Mo Dao Zu Shi (but there are plenty of adaptations like the live action drama The Untamed), and as the author described him: has a knife mouth but a tofu heart. He's grumpy and harsh but he's actually a sweetheart with so much trauma and he has so much love to give, but his circumstances prevent him from doing that.
