devotional moodboard for Hestia, goddess of the hearth
In thee the Gods have fixed their dwelling place; strong, stable basis of the mortal race. Eternal, much formed, ever florid queen, laughing and blessed, and of lovely mien.

Question for my fellow hellenic polytheists
Are y'all also scared of people forcing their Christianity on your funeral?
When my grandmother died my mother threw a big Christian funeral while my grandmother wasn't a very religious woman.
If I were to die before her she'll definitely do the same to me
For that reason I've given my girlfriend clear instructions in case and I've put it online so there's evidence against her.
But I was wondering if I'm the only one with that fear

wow, I feel a connection with him, I'm so excited to study to start worshiping him
If you are LGBTQ+, Dionysos is your God!
If you are a POC, Dionysos is your God!
If you are an immigrant or foreigner, Dionysos is your God!
If you are a woman, Dionysos is your God!
If you are oppressed or downtrodden, Dionysos is your God!
With a touch of His finger, chains fall away!
With the tremor of His cry, the houses of the tyrants crumble!
We have no king but Bakkhos!

english:
Ask: How did you get started in Hellenism? Do you have any tips for those just starting out?
Answer:
I began after a long period of seeing myself as an agnostic, until I began to ponder the existence of several Gods. After praying, I had a series of non-stop dreams that motivated me to research how to worship the Immortals.
And well, as for tips to get started, studying the basics is cool. Explore some initiatory texts (on [brazilian] polytheistic sites such as Helenos, Hierokrithari and even here on my @hermeneutas), talk to other devotees of the Gods and, who knows, start studying with relevant readings. Being interested in the hellenic ethos is a part that motivates me a lot too, that is, delving into the culture, philosophy and understanding the lifestyle of the ancient Greeks from whom we drink a lot of our spirituality.

“In the worship of the latter [Dionysos], women found a religiously approved vehicle for venting their feelings in an ecstatic manner that contradicted and transcended the male-defined mentality of the Greek city-state. When possessed by the madness of Dionysos, women suddenly found themselves free of the patriarchally imposed definitions of self, womanhood, and sanity. Hence, from a nonpatriarchal perspective, the madness of Dionysos had a certain logic after all.”
[Arthur Evans, “The God of Ecstasy: Sex Roles and the Madness of Dionysos”, 1988, p. 18]
