Carta de Vincent a Theo.

Octubre 1988.

En esta carta Vincent describe a Theo su dormitorio en la "Casa Amarilla" en Arles, principalmente los colores, con la finalidad de que le pudiera conseguir la pintura para darle color al lienzo. A la carta adjuntó un boceto del cuadro que posteriormente sería una de sus obras más famosas.

In this letter Vincent describes to Theo his bedroom in the "Yellow House" in Arles, mainly the colors, so that he could get him the paint to color the canvas. He attached a sketch of the painting that would later become one of his most famous works.

Saw Loving Vincent yesterday in a very ghetto town that low key made me worry for my safety tbh :’ ) But it was worth it, the movie was beautiful 💙 Always glad to learn more about Vincent 🎨 I’ve always adored Starry Night, and the song Starry Starry Night about him (especially the one sung by Josh Groban). This is now one of my favorite quotes, and I’d heard some of Vincent’s other quotes from his letters, but never managed to run into this one. Which I feel like resonates the most with me 💚

I wonder what Vincent would’ve been like if he’d been born in modern times, and was able to get proper treatment for his various mental illnesses. :’ ) His paintings wouldve for sure sold like crazy… Hope he can see how loved he is today. Would’ve loved to be friends with him 💖💕💖

If a large chunk of history is somehow lost, and someone somehow comes across my IG, I’m glad it’ll be known that I too wanted to live my life showing my ambitions and love and passions through my work.

Alright, I was sappy and deep there, so back to normal art posts soon I hope~ Vincent made 800 paintings, that’s some tough stuff to live up to, and I better get going~.

Allora oggi è successo che stamattina mi sono infilata nel letto del mio meraviglioso piccolo sole ed ero gelata, ma lui mi ha accolto lo stesso, mi ha stretto forte e poi "ehi piccola mi sei mancata" ed io mi sono sentita tornare ed era tutto molto luminoso ed eravamo un romanzo di Kerouac e ci siamo amati tutto il giorno e stasera respiro stasera ti vedo.
