Feelings on FOPANW S1 Finale
Okay so the finale dropped…….that sure was a finale….Alright, let’s discuss this in full detail. Spoilers for Fairly Oddparents A New Wish finale, DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT OR CAUGHT UP YET!
Okay so this finale is a big mixture for me for a few reasons, to which I’ll explain in detail of listing out the good and bad, before then listing out personal thoughts and what I think they’ll do for S2(if we get one, to which Y’ALL WE GOTTA LOCK IN AND REWATCH THIS SERIES IN NOVEMBER ON NETFLIX OKAY??)
The good~✨:
▪️I absolutely love that they brought back most of the new characters Hazel’s befriend and seen throughout the season come back to help Hazel in taking back fairy world. ▪️ANTI-COSMO AND ANTI-WANDA ARE BACK! It was definitely a short time, but I’m just glad they reappeared and them with Cosmo and Wanda was so funny. I love them exposing their weaknesses like Cosmo being afraid of big words or Wanda not standing seeing someone read a book upside down. ▪️THANK GOD DEV WASN’T TURN EVIL! The boy definitely mess up, but I am happy he listened to Wanda and help out in the end despite the consequences of it. It shows that despite Dev doing all of this to impress his dad, he realizes that his dad not going to change and that he’ll just overlook Dev for other people or things. Plus it nice to see that he didn’t want any the fairies lock up or to blow up, he just wanted to get back at Cosmo, Wanda, and Peri(speaking of him). This definitely marks a great start to his redemption arc that I feel next season will go into more.
▪️You don’t know how much it means to me seeing Peri fricken dying and yet, he’s still worrying about Dev. The fact he still cares about him and just only was strict on the rules because he wanted to do right by Dev..MY HEART AGHHH! THAT’S HIS DAD RIGHT THERE, HIS REAL DAD! I swear they better reunite. Le bad~⚡️:
▪️Dev losing both Peri and his memory of fairies….WHY!? I get punishing him to teach him what he did was wrong, but he recognizes it and also, HE’S NOT GOING TO IF HE DOESN’T REMEMBER WHAT HE DID WRONG! Not to mention that Dev still needs Peri, he still needs a fairygod parent because he’s stuck with a neglectful dad who thinks boots are better than his own kid and doesn’t know how to make friends with him having trust issues! Plus Peri still cares for Dev and I doubt he wanted to give him up! THATS HIS FIRST GODKID, GIVE HIM BACK HIS SON 😭 ▪️The point above gets worse when Hazel could’ve prevented that from happening by including Dev in her wish for her friends to keep their memories of her fairies and magic OR that Dev keeps Peri(which is a two for one sale as he gets both his fairy and memory). I understand Hazel is probably still upset at Dev and does think that he needs to learn a lesson, but she clearly still cares about him. Enough for her to look sad at the end when he gets poofs away and to thank him for doing the right thing. Not to mention now Dev’s growth at the end for realizing he did wrong will disappear and he can’t reflect on himself now to grow from it. ▪️Speaking of memories. So Hazel decided to let Winn, Jasmine, and her brother Anthony keep their memories of all of this. I won’t lie, I am conflicted on this as while I don’t mind too much of Winn and Jasmine to know about her secret as that allows them to join more adventures and develop from there with Hazel now that they know! But…why Anthony? I can understand Hazel wanting to share her cool fairies with him, but girl you got those fairies in the first place BECAUSE he’s away at college. Even if Anthony currently visiting right now and she can have fun with him, he’s still going back to college sweetie. Heck Anthony might not worry too much of needing to visit a lot because now he knows his sister being taken care of by Cosmo and Wanda(which is good thing, but to Hazel, she might be upset to think Anthony will spend less time with her now that she has fairies to fill his role).
Alright, I definitely got that out of my system. Ultimately despite these problems I have with this finale, I still enjoyed it and this season entirely. And I feel like the writers with what they did with Dev wasn’t to be mean spirited of taking away Peri and his memory. I believe they wanted to show Dev starting to reflect on what he has done and grow with realizing his mess up, which is why he even admits that he does deserve this and Hazel agrees. And despite Hazel not including him in the wish or wishing for him to keep Peri, she does still care about him. She’s glad he did the right thing in the end and she does look sad when Dev gets poofed away after being memory wiped. And honestly….this might be good for both of them in terms of being able to rekindle their friendship. Now that Dev won’t remember the the arguments that happen when he had a fairy, it means that his jealousy toward Hazel having Wanda and Cosmo and knowing that Hazel wished to be friends with him(to which he took personally because it seemed like their friendship was based off of just wanting to get something out of him he feels and it’s fake). The only problem is thanks to the memory wipe, we don’t know exactly how much Dev remembers. Does he only remember his fight with Hazel at Founders Day or their fight during his birthday? If the former, then did he forget Hazel being at his birthday? And if not and it’s the latter, then does Dev still remember project H but without the knowledge of Hazel’s fairies? Is he still upset at her for his father paying attention to her? Does he think they’re still friends??? Really the problem is since we’re in the dark of whether we’re getting a season two and we don’t know these details, we’re stuck unsatisfied since there’s clearly more to explore and explain here. But all we can do for now is just wait and watch the show again on Netflix when it drops while spreading word of the series. We can do this and get that season two for everyone! Seriously Netflix you better listen to Peri and greenlit season two.

No following; Planet of the apes fanfic Chap. 11
*Author's note*
Alright guys this will be the last update for awhile cause now you all are officially caught up on where I stopped with the story. Yeah I told yah I had about half of the movie itself done rn. Just a few more chapters then I'll write some chapters that'll go b/t DAWN & WAR. Glad people are enjoying this story and giving it a chance.
Now in this chapter things get pretty intense as a divide not only b/t Lin and the colony has started but also b/t the Apes as well with Koba and his dissent into madness. Be warned, there is a confrontation scene b/t Lin and Koba that might frighten you (depending on how well it is written to you). But there will be another scene b/t Lin and Caesar to calm things down afterwards. Anyway hope you all enjoyed this binge posting and until the next chapter comes up :)

________________________________________________________
As I walked further along the forests I soon came to the trail that would lead me towards the ape colony.  My breathing sharpened as I felt a pull to try and make things right, but I could also make things worse.  That fucker Carver just had to screw things for all of us, and now I may have lost Caesar for good this time.
But at the same time those old big sister instincts were festering in my gut.  After all these years I finally reunited with Caesar and I—I couldn’t bear to let us leave on these terms unlike before.
“Boys, keep an eye on Malcolm and the others. Make sure they don’t come to the camp.” I then left them as I raced down the trail towards the ape colony.
Once again I was stopped by the gorilla guard and brought into the colony.  Thankfully not being manhandled like before but they still had no ounce of trust as I was brought to Caesar.  I was then transferred from the gorilla guard to several chimps.
“Please, please all I ask is an audience with him. I just need five minutes with him.” I pleaded as I was lead up towards the same structure as Maurice lead me up last night, however instead of continuing to the top, I was taken to the top nest where Caesar, his son and a few other female chimps sitting around a sick female chimp.  “Caesar, I know I’m the last person you want to see but you have to believe me, I had no idea about Carver’s gun. I should’ve checked it myself instead of relying on Malcolm’s word or even Carver’s actions.”
“You….gave me. Your word!” Caesar growled lowly.
“I know. Believe me, I’m kicking myself repeatedly because of it. But I couldn’t leave without you at least knowing my truth. If it were up to me, Carver would never have come along. Please believe me, brother Ape.” At that statement, the female chimps who all looked like they were healers looked at me in shock, as did his son.
Caesar remained quiet and didn’t turn to face me.  That’s when a commotion was heard outside and I heard Malcolm’s voice say.
“Please, please I just need to speak to him.” I growled as I clenched my fists.  The second both him and Ellie showed themselves I exclaimed.
“Jesus Christ of course you’d be here! Why can’t you just stay the fuck away and leave me and them alone!? You’ve done enough!”
“Lin please. You have every right to be angry, but just give me time to explain it to him.” He then went around me as he said to Caesar. “I’m sorry. That was all my fault, but I will make him leave.”
“This my home.” Caesar grunted. “You should not be here.” He then spoke softer as he kept his back toward us.
“I understand.” Malcolm replied.
“Malcolm.” Ellie said to him softly as she took noticed of the sick female chimp on the bed.
Now that my attention fully went to her, I could hear her wheezing and around her brows she had what almost looked like beads that were almost in a circlet-crown fashion.  And she didn’t just look sick, she looked like she was on death’s doorstep.  Like Caroline was when she got sick with the virus.
“She’s sick.” Malcolm pointed out, which got some of the other female chimps’ attention.
“How long has she been this way?” asked Ellie.  No one gave her an answer but Caesar turned to glare at her.  “I have medicine. Antibiotics.” Ellie offered.
“Maybe she can help.” Malcolm suggested.
“Do. Not. Trust you.” Caesar spoke softly before looking back down at the female chimp.
“I don’t blame you. But believe me, we’re not all like him.” Malcolm told him.
“Caesar.” I then spoke up.  Slowly I came forward and said, “I’m sure you all have tried everything you can for her, but it seems that nothing is working for her. Ellie—is the best doctor I’ve had the privilege of knowing. Please, let her help.” I said kneeling down beside him.  I looked down at the wheezing female chimp and signed to him.  ‘Who is she?’
‘Cornelia. My wife.’ Caesar signed back to me.  I looked down at Cornelia and remembered that name from the shelter all those years ago.  I can see why Caesar fell for her, she was one of the most beautiful female chimps.  And she always had such a curious and kind nature about her.
‘You were right. She is beautiful.’ I signed.  ‘When Will lost Caroline, he was so heartbroken and distraught. It was like he lost a piece of himself. I know you don’t want to lose her, nor your sons to lose their mother when there’s still a chance to save her.’
Caesar looked at me and I could just see it in his eyes.  Those same heartbroken, bloodshot eyes that Will had after Caroline had passed.  The tears hidden within and I could faintly see a small tear slide down his face.  After a moment of us staring at each other, he stepped aside and allowed Ellie to do her work.
I then gave Ellie a hand gesture for her to come forward and help Cornelia.  Slowly she came up removing her backpack and as I left to give her space to work, I felt Caesar’s hand take mine and he gripped onto it tightly.
Even if his face wouldn’t show it before Ellie and Malcolm, I knew that his grip was one of pleading for help.  I could just feel in his grip the fear and worry he had for his beloved wife and how he couldn’t bare to lose her.  I stepped closer to hide our hands as I squeezed his hand back assuringly.
“One day.” Caesar then spoke up.  Ellie looked up at him and Caesar repeated, “You stay…one day.”
‘Father, no!’ his eldest son signed out as he looked at his father in shock.
“We might need a little more time…..” Malcolm started but Caesar roared as he faced him.
“ONE DAY!” Caesar’s breath sharpened briefly before he continued, “Ape will help.”
‘I will not help!’ his son signed again as he narrowed his eyes angrily at his father.  I glared at Malcolm and told him.
“You’re lucky to even get a day Malcolm, don’t push it. And this time, all conditions must be met. No exceptions.”
“The moment we get back to camp, Carver’s going down to the trucks.” Assured Malcolm.  But that didn’t sit right with me
“Take the keys before you leave him. I’ll even have Kiba, Tsume and Hige stand watch over him to ensure he doesn’t do anything stupid. And if he does—I’ll hold no responsibilities to what happens to him.”
“Lin….”
“I’m serious Malcolm. You knew bringing him was a bad idea the moment he shot the young ape. He’s nothing but trouble and yet you still brought him along.”  Malcolm was silent as we locked eyes with each other before he finally said.
“Alright. I’ll—keep my mouth shut if your wolves have to attack him. They did defend you after all back at the dam.”
“And I didn’t even tell them to attack him. If he somehow stays alive by morning when we get this done. I want to ensure no one is going to rat out my pack to the colony.”
“Whatever you want Lin.” I released Caesar’s hand and walked up to Malcolm and extended my hand out.
“Then we’re in an agreement.” Malcolm took my hand and we shook on it.  I squeezed his hand as tight as I could, digging my nails into his skin.  “Don’t make me regret this.” I hissed lowly at him.
After Ellie was done giving Cornelia and telling the other female chimps what to watch out for in case things went south, we all headed back to the camp with the escort of the apes.
Malcolm informed the others that we could stay but Carver had to go.  No one but the accused party spoke up against this matter.  So as Carver was screaming out how this was bullshit, Foster forced him down the hill and I said to Kiba.
“You, Tsume and Hige keep an eye on him. He tries anything, you know what to do.” Kiba looked me with those piercing yellow eyes of his before lowly growling before turning to Tsume and Hige and letting out a few grunts and snarls.
Tsume and Hige turned to each other before the two of them raced after Foster and Carver snarling and barking with Kiba running right behind them doing the same.  Toboe wanted to race after them but I told him.
“Toboe guard!” He came over to me and curled his body behind my legs. I then turned to Caesar and asked, “I know you must’ve had some bad experiences with wolves in the past, but I’d like to offer this pup as aid in helping to dig out the debris. Being the pup of the pack, Toboe has done his fair share of digging holes in order to catch rabbits and foxes. He’s certainly gotten into his fair share of trouble a time or two poking into the wrong holes. But he knows who to attack and who not to attack.”
“Pup may help.” Caesar said.  I scratched the back of Toboe’s head as he leaned against my touch grunting lovingly.  “Follow Toboe.” He looked between my hand pointing out to Caesar and me before getting the message as he walked over to Caesar’s horse.
“The rest of us, while the apes clear off the debris, we’ll start working on the main power station. We’ve got a lot of work to do and little time to do it.” Malcolm told the others as we all gathered our materials and headed back to the dam.
While Luca and half the apes along with Toboe went down to the bottom to clear off the debris from the explosion earlier this morning, the rest of the apes including Caesar and Maurice were with us in the main power building trying to fix the power grid that way once things were cleared up from down below, we could try and turn everything on and get things running quicker.
“Yo Alex, this relay’s busted. See if there’s another one.” Foster said as he was at one of the control panels and found a relay that was completely useless from years of rust and erosion.  Foster handed Alexander the old relay, he took a good long look at it before heading over to the other side of the dam to see if there was another relay to put into the controls.  I walked over to Foster and asked.
“So I remember briefly from science class, but how exactly does water power work exactly? Like I completely understand solar power but is there a difference?”
“More or less.” Foster explained as he began digging his hands into the exposed power box.  “You saw how the dam has that steep slope down pass the river.”
“Yeah.”
“Well the steeper the slope, the more power that can be made. Once the water is collected through the tunnels that we tried to clear off, the turbines within the dam will start collecting filling up with water, when there’s enough water it’ll connect to these generators and we should be able to restore power. After turning a few switches in order to get it through the city, that’s all it should take. But that’s if we can get these generators up and running as best we can.”
“Yeah I can already see. All these wires are completely eroded and faulty.”
“But I gotta keep the faith that we’ll get this thing running. Especially now with Carver out of the picture and not causing any trouble.”
“If I had a beer I’d say I’ll drink to that.”
“I’ve got a few pints of some old whiskey back at my place, be willing to drink a cup or two with you if you’re up for it.” Foster offered.
“After all I’ve seen these past 10 years, I think Whiskey would do me good.” A loud bang was heard and I turned to see that Alexander had been pushed down to the ground by none other than the scarred bonobo.
“Hey!” Alexander cried as the bonobo fully turned towards him baring his teeth.  Malcolm went over to defend his son, but he was unfortunately going at it the wrong way.  He held his arm out telling the bonobo to stop so I quickly got in front of them.
“Back off Scarface!” I snapped as I stood as tall as I could be, while the bonobo hissed at me.  “The kid and his dad are pushovers. I’m the one you really want to fight!” I spoke louder in a challenge.
His one good eye looked at me almost as if he were analyzing me but both his eyes widened in recognition.  This time pure rage encompassed him as he grabbed me by the shirt and had me pinned to the ground.
“LIN!” Alexander called out for me but his dad held him back.  The bonobo hovered over me, baring his fangs and I was brought back to that day in the redwoods when Will and I said goodbye to Caesar.  A scarred-face bonobo had ambushed us and Will had me almost buried behind his back as the bonobo was snarling and ready to tear my uncle’s face off.
Oh god….it was him! It all made sense now, this was the same bonobo that nearly killed me and Uncle Will had Caesar not intervened.  And now I’ve willingly offered myself to this crazed ape who already had a raw hatred for humans.
“You…..” he panted.  Unlike Caesar’s voice that was both commanding but could also had warmth to it, this ape’s voice was cold and harsh as ice as it sent fear down my spine.  “Look…..like….him.”  I was then picked up once again before being tossed towards Malcolm and Alex who both caught me.  Like my uncle, Malcolm now stood between the crazed bonobo and me and Alexander.
Tumblr media
“No, no, no, no don’t! Don’t leave her!” The bonobo took another step closer snarling and baring his teeth, but soon another figure stood between us.  A large mass of orange fur stood tall before the three of us blocking us from the bonobo’s sight.  It was Maurice.
A deep grumble came out of his throat as he stared the bonobo down as a warning.  And I knew orangutans were at least twice or maybe more times stronger than chimps and bonobos (thank you Caroline).  As Maurice stood guard over us, the bonobo hissed out.
“Where Caesar? Want Caesar. CAESAR!!!” he then roared out.  I could just feel from his voice alone the raw anger and rage behind his roar.  Malcolm cupped my face and mouthed to me.
“You okay?” my adrenaline was finally coming down as I felt almost limp and nearly collapsed against him.  Both he and Alexander helped me up onto the stairs as Caesar finally made his appearance.
A deepening scowl was across his face as he slowly came out into the main room as the bonobo snarled at him.
“Humans…attack your sons! You. Let them stay! Put apes in danger!” the bonobo walked up to Caesar in a challenging manner as he continued to push at Caesar’s buttons.  “Caesar…love humans. More than Apes! More. Than. Your….sons!” he jabbed his finger into Caesar’s chest as a challenge as he spoke his last statement.
I having bared witnessed at what Caesar is willing to do for family, knew the bonobo had crossed the line.  He was taken away from us because he was defending me and grandpa from Hunsiker’s wrath.  There’s nothing Caesar loves more in this world than his family.  And to say that while his own son was here, this bonobo had just royally fucked up.
The scowl on Caesar’s face soon morphed into nothing but pure rage.  His body trembling and his breathing sharpened as he was now like a volcano ready to explode.  And boy did he.
Caesar let out a rageful cry as he tackled the bonobo, the two of them rolling on top of each other as they fought.  The other apes cleared the way as they all screeched and hooted hysterically.  While we humans could only watch in horror and shock as two apes went toe to toe with each other in a flurry of punches and body slams.
My body froze with fear as I saw the bonobo first rapidly beat Caesar in the chest with his fists before Caesar got the supper hand and got the bonobo pinned onto his back and returned the favor but it was also fueled with a parent’s rage.
Now that Caesar had an opponent he could fully rival, I was now seeing a side of Caesar that Caroline had warned Will and I of.  This primal rage that chimpanzees had, the tale of Travis the chimp, I was seeing it right before my eyes.
Not only was he beating the bonobo to the point of almost punching his face in, he also had the bonobo by the throat with his bare hands as he slammed him down on the ground multiple times before letting out this primal yell.  It shook me too my core and filled me with an icy sense of fear that I hadn’t felt in so long.
He could’ve ended it all, he could’ve ended it right then and there.  But just when everyone both human and ape thought Caesar would go through with it, he released his hold on the bonobo and his rage was finally extinguished into exhaustion.
“Ape…..not….kill….ape.” panted Caesar as he got off of the bonobo.  The bonobo still gasping for air and bleeding profusely from his face looked around but saw that no ape dared to look at him.
At this point there was no going back.  To go against the Alpha means you’re officially an outcast to the troop.  The bonobo slowly got up, kneeling down and extended his hand as he panted.
“Forgive me.” He said to Caesar after a long moment of pure silence.  Caesar looked around to all the apes before looking down at the bonobo’s extended hand.  He slowly reached out for it and when barely a touch went to the bonobo’s palm, he slinked away.  I then watched as Caesar’s eldest son turned to his father with a look of betrayal before he too left.
Caesar looked down heartbrokenly before leaving the dam leaving us wondering if we should continue to work or just leave sense the tension from the fight was still in the air.
“What do we do now?” asked Ellie.
“Work for another hour, and then we head back to camp.” Malcolm stated.  While everyone was slowly starting to go back to work, I got up and followed the same path Caesar took.
“Lin where are you going? Lin!?” Malcolm’s voice echoed but I didn’t respond back to him.
I exited the dam and soon caught sight of Caesar sitting alone by the reservoir.  His arms wrapped around his legs as he sat there by the edge of the water.
“Caesar?” I softly called out to him.  I looked at him empathetically before slowly coming over and sat down beside him.  “I’m sorry. I know us being here is causing such a rift within your troop.”
“If work not get done,” Caesar said before turning to look at me. “More humans come.”
“Yeah. Humans that I unfortunately cannot control. And who will bring guns. The sooner we get this dam working the better. And all will go back to what it was.” I said looking at him before turning my attention back to the water.
“Human…will not. Forget.”
“We may not forget, but at least there won’t be a reason for them to come back here. Not even me.” I turned back towards him, “After we leave, I’ll keep my promise from that day. You stay, I go. No following. Now that I know you’re here, there’s no reason for me to come into these woods. This is your home, and I won’t come into it anymore.”
“You…saved my sons. You are…no threat.”
“I may not be a threat but this is still your home. And I didn’t ask permission to hunt in your home. Nor the pack. They might not like staying in the city, so I might just have to leave them here. Let them finally be free, just like you are.”
“They would miss you.” I smiled softly.
“I know they would. But they deserve their best chance, and that’s being able to live freely. I’ll be fine.” My heart felt heavy as I spoke this as I was brought back to the day we said goodbye to one another.
“Where you….go now?”
“I might stay with the colony a few more days just to pack some provisions. After that I might go East. Or South. See if there’s another place out there somewhere for me.” I felt Caesar’s leather finger graze against my cheek and I turned to look at him again.
‘I’d be willing to give you part of the woods as a new home for you.’ I smiled at the offer but deep down I knew it would only turn into disaster.  I took notice of his bloody hands and took out an old bandana from my coat pocket and dabbed it into the water.
“May I?” he held out his hand and I took it into my left hand then began wiping the blood with the wet bandana.  “I finally pieced together just who the bonobo was. He was the same one you stopped from attacking Will and I that day.”
“Koba.” Caesar said his name.  “Tested by humans at lab.”
“Uncle Will’s lab.” Caesar nodded softly.
“My son…..learn from Koba. As well learned from me. Koba’s hatred for humans….pulls my son to him.”
“He’s young Caesar. He’s just learning that the world he’s been raised on has now been turned upside down because of the humans arrival.” I chuckled softly as I finished cleaning the last bit of blood from Caesar’s knuckles, “Reminds me a bit of you at his age. A young, revolutionist who fought for the rights of Apes. Who freed them of their bonds, taught them to have a voice, and lead them to the Promised Land.” Caesar let out a deep, heavy sigh before saying.
“Just….want my son…to be the leader. I know….he can be.”
“But you’ve also gotta let him take his own path. What you’ve done Caesar…its a lot to live up to. Yes he’ll make mistakes, like I’m sure you have in your decade as leader. Nobody’s perfect. And I know he’ll make the right decision when it comes down to it. You just gotta give him that chance.”
I placed my hand over his and the two of us stared into each other’s eyes.  The two of us slowly leaning towards one another our forehead almost ready to touch when we both heard the sound of footsteps walking along the pebbled shore.  I released my hand from Caesar’s as I separated from him as Kemp came up and said.
“We’ve done all we can do for now. Malcolm wants us back at camp before it gets dark. We’ll get started as early as we can the next morning, especially since the debris has now been cleared out.”
“I’ll meet you there Kemp.”
“You’re not walking with us?”
“I gotta go grab Toboe. I’ll make it there before it gets dark, don’t worry.” He nodded before leaving us.  “Better go down and get that pup before he buries himself alive, again.” I then headed over to the tunnel entrance and let out a single howl.
I heard the splooshing sound of water as running up was the young red wolf pup.  He yipped and shook himself of the dirt and water.  I exclaimed as I told him.
“Come on pup, I’ll give you a proper clean up when we get back to camp.” I carried him out of the tunnel’s stairway and we soon got back to the shore.  Caesar and I locked eyes one last time and there was a bittersweet feeling as we stared at each other.
His proposal replayed in my mind but I just couldn’t accept it.  Caesar had his people, and I—I’m just destined to be alone.  Being around Carver’s paranoia and having Dreyfus’ threat looming in the back of my mind made me realize why I prefer to be alone.
While there’s still good people like Malcolm and his family, they will always be overshadowed by the evil that grasped humanity and increased tenfold ever since the Simian Flu outbreak.  And if word ever got out about who I really am, I doubt the colony would even want anything to do with me.
Their fear, their hatred, and the inhumane actions I’ve seen them do to one another.  But then again I’m no saint either, I too walked along that hateful path, but I soon realized just what I was becoming and I hated myself every day because of who I was becoming.
That’s why I’m better off alone.  I don’t want to take anyone down that path if there comes a time when I have to become that person again.

Note
Was rereading some slightly old asks and saw my "Jd reunites with C!Branch earlier than canon" one and got thinking how that scenario could go with the other Branches. One I really liked so far was with rock Branch.
If it took country Branch some time to forgive Jd and welcome him back into his life, it would take infinitilly longer for this Branch. Branch's doesn't really know what to make of Jd and their relationship for the longest time, especially with the fact that John never stays for long and leaves for the Neverglades after some half-hearted attempts at bonding (though, he does really appreciates the weird taxidermy and nature facts that Jd gives him).
Their slightly-getting-better-over-time relationship takes a nose dive for the worst when Thrash's mental state starts to significantly worsen, Branch lashes out at him way more and is a lot more hurt by him not staying around (he never actually says that part out loud tho). It takes him some time, but John eventually realizes the root of the problem and actually makes effort to be there for his estranged brother. John Dory even starts taking the role of a parental figure to him and that makes Branch's resentment worse for a little while, but he does realize that John is not really trying to take Thrash's place but trying to be there for him in a way that nobody else can in the moment (especially because anyone else that could, aka Barb, is also dealing with the same "grief" as him and can't HEALTHILY prioritize him and his emotions in the same way, even though she is trying).
After all of that is said and done, their relationship quickly improves in ways that it never had before. They genuinely talk about the past and why everything went down the way it did, finally becoming close again and spending some actual good time together when Jd comes to visit. Branch ofc never really sees Jd as his "dad figure", but having that type of presence in his life, when Thrash can't anymore, means way more to him than he will ever admit. If anybody asks, Branch says that he found Jd in a trashcan and felt too bad to get rid of him, so now he keeps him as his grumpy and old indoor-outdoor cat (John lets Branch call him that because it's better than being called a "creepy stranger that keeps following me around" everytime that they are seen together).
Bonus: Jd has one of those pictures of goth kids with their normie parents of him and Branch in his wallet, he shows it around to everyone like "he is my pride and joy, I love him very much". Branch is the same, but instead he has a very embarrassing picture of John and everytime he shows it to people, he says "This is my elderly dog, he has every decease and will die very soon. I love him."
I love this. JD isn't a step parent, he's the parent who stepped up.
He'd tried to be the same for Barb, kinda, but she growls at him when he stands too close to her.
The idea of JD being the normie dad next to goth/alt son genuinely made me laugh, as did 'my elderly dog with every disease known to man'.
I feel like JD would get along with Val's dad Drag.

Brotherly Love: Part One
Hidden away on Earth, Raditz wants a chance to make amends to his past and form a relationship with his estranged brother, Son Goku.
He was always avoided. No one dared look in his eyes. He was deemed scary. No one spoke more than a few sentences to him. He was deemed wild and savage. No one wanted to get close to him. He was a murderer. No one wanted to talk to him except two: the Ice Bitch and the Ice Queen.
They ran the facility he had been locked in for ten years. The Ice Bitch funded and built this facility while the Ice Queen ran it only cowering to the demands of the Ice Bitch. He has been in worse places and treated brutally on other planets but this place, even with all their amenities, was still a prison.
He was confined to a room the size of an apartment. He had access to food. He was given reading materials, music, movies and television to understand the world around him.
But it was still a prison. The air he breathed was tainted to keep him weak. Twice a week, he was allowed to leave the room but his wrists were bound in wristbands filled with kilotons of electricity.  One wrong move and he could be zapped like a bird on an unsealed powerline. He was away from his room for two hours. It wasn’t enough time to restore his strength. The Ice Bitch made sure of that.
The first three years, he tried to escape and in the last seven years, he resigned himself to this perilous fate. Seven years ago, Raditz lost his motivation to leave. Never did he imagine when the Ice Bitch visited, she would say the words he wanted to hear.
Goku is alive again. He’s back on Earth.
Thanks to the Ice Queen, Raditz knew of the Tenkaichi Budokai. He wanted to see how his nephews fare but the cameras were destroyed. The Ice Queen showed generosity providing him with a radio where they could listen to the tournament. It was here he learned Son Goku was a contestant. He thought it was a strange coincidence since that was the name his brother went by on Earth. Ice Queen was confused, too, but hours later when a monster calling himself Majin Boo destroyed cities, his brother battled the monster and disappeared.
That burned in Raditz’s mind for days and after the destruction and revival of Earth, the Ice Bitch visited. Raditz wanted answers.
“I saw Kakarot! You told me he was dead! Why did you lie to me?!”
“I didn’t lie. Goku was dead for seven years but he was allowed to visit for a day. Because of Majin Boo, he was granted a new life and he’s back on Earth.”
“And you deliberately kept his visit from me.” Raditz wouldn’t argue years ago the Ice Bitch was justified to keep the knowledge of his existence quiet but not after these years where he showed change. “I want to see him.”
“Goku’s busy reuniting with his family.”
“I’m his family!”
“You’re not the family he wants or did you forget he rejected you?”
Raditz didn’t care his brother rejected him then. Raditz was disgusted at the weak Saiyan his brother grew up to be. Now… it did hurt. “Things were different. I’m not that Saiyan anymore. I want to see my brother!”
But the Ice Bitch wouldn’t hear anymore. She left with the Ice Queen who didn’t agree with the Ice Bitch. She voiced her difference when they walked away from his cell.
“I don’t think you should forbid him, Bulma.”
“Don’t go against me on this, Adira. I’m already pissed with you. How could you let Raditz know about the tournament?”
“Is this because of Son Goku? You didn’t tell me he was returning.”
“You didn’t need to know like Raditz didn’t need to know about the Tenkaichi Budokai.”
“His nephews were participating. I thought he’d want to see them.”
“He doesn’t have a relationship with them.”
“How can he when he’s stuck here?”
“He kidnapped his eldest nephew when he was four years old!”
“He doesn’t seem to be that man anymore, Bulma. I think the years mellowed him like it did Vegeta.”
The Ice Bitch snorted. “Don’t let the mellowing appearance fool you. It could be a trap to let our guard down.”
“I think you’re saying that because of what Vegeta did.”
The rejection left Raditz with one option. If he wanted to see his brother, he had to escape. Over the years, Raditz learned a few things about his brother. The Ice Bitch wasn’t aware during their conversations, he was gathering information he could use later.
“Are you Kakarot’s concubine?”
“I’m too rich and beautiful to be anyone’s concubine. I was gathering dragon balls when I met Goku. I convinced him to be my bodyguard and look for dragon balls with me.”
“How? By opening your legs?”
“No! Goku was a kid. He was too dumb to see how hot I was at sixteen. It’s not his fault. He grew up on Mount Paozu.”
With access to books and maps, Raditz found Mount Paozu but he needed information on where he is and how far he will have to travel to find his brother.  On the days he was allowed to step out of the facility, Raditz studied his surroundings. He noticed the trees and animals on the island. He had casual conversations with the Ice Bitch and Ice Queen to learn what food grew here and what food was shipped. He studied the seasons and discovered the weather varied from warm to hot. It never snowed and never received yearly water storms Earth people call hurricanes.   He applied all this knowledge to his books and discovered he was likely on an island off a large mainland. There’s nothing popular about this land except it was home to the Red Ribbon Army.
Mount Paozu was on the other side of the world. It would be a journey finding his brother without his scouter but Raditz knew he could do it. This was his only chance to see his brother again. He couldn’t waste this opportunity like last time.
“He’s destroyed most of the world! What are you gonna do when he finds this place?!” Raditz was pissed. Some maniac was killing everyone on Earth. In the last twenty-four hours, television stations went offline. Phone coverage was spotty and only static was heard on the radio. Raditz didn’t care people were dead but he hated not knowing where Majin Boo was. That monster could find this place and Raditz wanted to be ready for him. “You may want to sit on your ass and wait for death but that’s not the Saiyan way. We have our pride. Even if it’s a lost cause, it’s better to go down fighting instead of doing nothing!”
The Ice Queen tried to reason with Raditz. “You could die against him.”
Raditz almost laughed. “Are you caring about me? The Ice Queen has a heart?”
“I’m being practical.”
“Practical,” Raditz knew he shouldn’t have gotten his hopes up. “Typical Ice Queen.”
“You’re still calling me that,” she huffed frustrated. “I hate that name!” The Ice Queen never cared when he called her that. She wasn’t rattled and nothing appeared to get under her skin hence his nickname for her but Majin Boo cracked her cool façade.  “So many people are dead, Raditz. My parents are gone. We’re probably among the last group on Earth. Call me by my name.”
“Fine….. Adira. Majin Boo will find this place and blow us up like he’s done all the cities on this planet. Give me my honor and pride back and let me die fighting.”
Raditz expected Adira to say ‘No’. Her stare could be cold and clinical but there were times her eyes gave away her thoughts. She wasn’t like the Ice Bitch. She was a genius like her but humble and reserved. Perhaps it was her being the only constant woman in ten years but Raditz thought Adira was attractive for an Earthling. Her sable hair reminded him of Saiyan women. Over the years, she changed it from short to long and curled to straight. Her hair was everchanging like her eyes. He was struck when he noticed how wondrously violet her eyes were under lights and away it appeared a cobalt blue as deep as the ocean. Sometimes he stared at her to see the colors bounce between blue and purple. She never noticed his stares. She was too cold and clinical.
“All right,” Adira gave in. “I’ll let you go. I’ll free you.” As Adira typed in the code to open the door, showers of pink light doused the area. Raditz jumped around avoiding the light. He didn’t know what it was but instincts told him to avoid it. When the showers passed, Raditz saw pieces of his room charred. The door still bolted the room shut but the weird showers created holes in the glass barrier.
“Adira?” Did the showers force her to run away? Raditz stepped out of his room. “Where are you?”  Raditz walked around the facility. How far did she go? Raditz knew from Adira the fully staffed facility was reduced to a skeleton crew. Majin Boo caused many workers to leave and be with their families.
Adira, despite having parents and siblings, stayed.
Raditz picked up a cell phone off the floor. He listened for a voice but heard nothing. Walking further, Raditz saw an open book and an iPad on the floor. The screen was scratched.  It gave Raditz a cold feeling. The pink shower was Majin Boo’s energy. He killed everyone touched by it.
“Adira.” Majin Boo killed her and he didn’t see it.
Raditz rationed his next move. Majin Boo wouldn’t return so soon after killing everyone here. He also needed to prepare. The room he was enclosed in had doctored air. It weakened him. Raditz needed hours before feeling at full strength. Until then, he ate to replenish himself and exercised. A couple of hours passed when Raditz felt strong enough to try flying. He stepped out of the facility to see the skies turning a dark pink. The ground under him trembled.
“What the----” Raditz gasped as a massive wave swallowed the island. Raditz swam while his body jostled in the ocean. His ears were deafened by the crashing waves and the facility structure breaking in the water. Bouncing around Raditz couldn’t tell if he was swimming up or down. He just swam hoping to reach the surface.
There! He saw it. Light! Raditz swam toward it thinking it was the surface. Almost there he told himself. A little further he--- The light was moving to him and getting brighter.
This wasn’t sunlight Raditz realized as the heat of Majin Boo’s energy swallowed him. It was instant and painless.
Raditz’s memories were fuzzy after that. He remembered a temple and a large man behind a desk. That was all he could recall before he found himself on the island again.
Raditz wasn’t alone. Adira and the rest of the staff were on the island, too. They were trying to piece together what happened when Raditz heard his brother and Prince Vegeta above them.
“Earthlings!! Do you want to be killed by Majin Boo again?! You have a chance to save your planet!!”
“Everyone! Please! Give all the energy you can! We can’t stop Majin Boo without you!”
“Is that Prince Vegeta and Kakarot?”
“They want us to raise our hands.” Adira raised her hands. “How will this help defeat Majin Boo?”
“Prince Vegeta and Kakarot found a way to defeat Majin Boo.” Raditz raised his hands. “We should do it.” Only he and Adira had their hands up. “What are you waiting for?!” Raditz barked at the other staff members. “Do it!”
Everyone raised their hands. Raditz was going to curse their resistance when he saw Adira smiling at him. “What?”
“You used to hate them. Now you’re helping them. You’ve changed.”
Adira’s smile was slightly unnerving. She smiled but never at him. Despite their loss of energy, everyone kept their hands up until the battle was over. Cheers broke out when Mr. Satan confirmed Majin Boo was gone, but when the cheers died, reality sunk in Raditz was not in his cell and not wearing the wristbands he was forced to wear outside.
Security quickly drew their guns on Raditz. Each gun had massive charges of electricity. Raditz rationed he could subdue them but he would suffer injuries, too. “Come at me,” Raditz challenged them.
“Wait!” Adira jumped between Raditz and security. “You need to go back to your cell.”
Raditz laughed. “That room can’t hold me. It received massive damage. I can kill you and finally leave this place.”
“You could.” Even Adira knew Raditz couldn’t be stopped. “But you proved you have changed. I can
present this to Bulma. You’ll be free to leave on your own.”
“I can do that now.”
“You’re still naïve to the world. You need a guide. I’ll help you,” she offered. “I’ll help you get a place and integrate. It’ll be easier with a guide than on your own.”
Adira’s offer was better than the alternative. It wouldn’t be easy and after ten years of confinement, Raditz wanted an easier life. Raditz stayed in a spare room while repairs quickly went underway to his cell. When he returned, Raditz noticed his room wasn’t secure. There was a hole not repaired. Fresh air leaked into the room doctoring the tainted air he was forced to breathe. Raditz kept this to himself as he waited for Bulma to return. He waited a month.
Adira went over a rehabilitation plan for Raditz. Raditz didn’t care about being around humans. He was excited to be free and he wanted to see his brother.
When Bulma returned, Adira excitedly explained Raditz’s behavior over the Majin Boo ordeal and her plan to integrate him into society. Years ago, Bulma offered Raditz a new life on Earth if he changed. Then, Raditz was vengeful, murderous and filled with anger. He didn’t want to change but ten years of confinement softened Raditz to consider her and now she reneged.
This drove Raditz to coordinate his escape.
It was still dark when the chime of Bulma’s phone awakened her. She was in a deep fog of sleep and didn’t recognize the tone. Who would be calling her this early?
“Shut that thing off before I shut it for you,” Vegeta sleepily threatened as he rolled over.
Bulma reached for the phone on her nightstand as the ringing stopped. 3:12 a.m. Calls at this time can’t be good but Bulma figured it was a wrong number. She didn’t bother to check the name on her missed call as she rolled back in bed.
Her phone rang again.
“Bulma….” Vegeta warned.
Bulma brushed off Vegeta’s annoyance as she rolled over. “It’s not as if you have to get up early for work.” Bulma picked up the phone again and bolted upright when she saw the person calling her.
Adira.
“What is it?” The room was dark but Vegeta noticed Bulma’s shuffling.
“Work.” Bulma swung her legs out of bed and stood up. “I’ll take it in the other room. Go back to sleep.” She closed off their bedroom door and leaned against it. “Adira?” Bulma whispered.
“Sorry, Bulma. This can’t wait until morning. We got a problem.”
“I figured.” Bulma fought off a yawn. “What did he do this time?”
“He almost broke out.”
“What?!” Bulma clamped her hand over her mouth. She stepped away from the door and settled on the sofa of her adjacent suite. “How?”
“Don’t know. Security is still looking into it. We had to gas the building. Security had to use three times as much electro charges on him. He’s contained but he was hurt.”
“Any fatalities?”
“No. He’s different now.”
“Different? Did you forget the outbreaks when we first contained him? Ten men died.”
“That was years ago. Raditz could’ve killed but he didn’t. He disarmed and knocked security out. Raditz won’t kill again. He wants out and to see his brother.”
Bulma wanted that to be true but recent experiences left her cautious. “It could be a trap.”
“He hasn’t tried to break out in seven years. He’s read books. He’s studied maps. He’s trying all kinds of cuisines. He’s watching sports games. He wants to embrace our world.”
Bulma flipped on a lamp and sifted the drawer of the end table for her cigarette case and lighter. “I made an offer to him years ago and he rejected it.  ‘As soon as I get out of here, I will kill everyone on this planet. Starting with you, Ice Bitch.’ Those were his exact words.”
“He’s mellowed since then.”
Bulma closed the drawer annoyed. Vegeta either hid or threw out her case and lighter. Again. “I thought the same with Vegeta until the Tenkaichi Budokai.”
Adira knew that was a sore spot for Bulma. Cameras were destroyed so no one outside the stadium saw the footage. Adira and Raditz listened to the radio broadcast of Vegeta killing people. Reports came out hours later people who were killed at the tournament were alive. It would’ve been a major news story for days if not for Majin Boo. Adira thought that was a good thing since it meant everyone forgot what Vegeta did. If the news researched and tied him to Bulma. It would’ve created a massive media mess for Bulma and her family. It could’ve put what they were doing with Raditz in the spotlight.
“You told me he wasn’t in his right mind. He’s not at fault.”
Adira didn’t know the full truth and Bulma didn't want to tell her. That day had Bulma second-guessing everything. “We should be extra cautious. Vegeta has lived openly among humans for years and he fell off the wagon. We can’t trust Raditz. He tried to break out again.”
“What choice did he have after you refused to give Raditz a chance?!” Adira lost her patience. “He’s been cooped here for a decade.”
“Oh, please!” Bulma slammed another draw shut. Did Vegeta throw away all her cigarettes? “It’s not a real jail. Raditz’s room is half the size of a gymnasium. He can exercise. He has a kitchen. He has a bath. He has a TV and access to books, music and movies.”
“It’s not the same as real experience and,” Adira braced herself for Bulma’s blowup. “….. he has a family.”
“A brother who would not want to see him.”
“I don’t know Son Goku, Bulma, but maybe he would want to see his brother. You have to give him that choice. Raditz should hear it from his brother.”
Bulma plopped on the sofa giving up her search for cigarettes. “You weren’t there, Adira. You didn’t see what Raditz did. He was heartless. He hurt Goku. He took his son. Goku died because of Raditz.”
“And you revived Raditz knowing all that,” Adira reminded Bulma. “You have to come clean with this. If you don’t, I will.”
“What?”
“You brought me on this project to reach a goal with Raditz. We did that. The least we can do is give Raditz what he wants. Let him meet his brother.”
Bulma knew that wasn’t as easy as it sounded. She was there that day when Raditz told Goku he wasn’t human, knocked him down with one punch and kidnapped his son. Bulma went into this with the best intentions but unintentionally created secrets that would hurt the people she cared for.
If Goku finds out about Raditz and what I did, he’ll hate me.  What will Vegeta do?
“Raditz wants to see you, too.”
“I figured as much.” Bulma squeezed the bridge of her nose wondering how to work this out without drawing suspicions. Her father knew about it but not her mother. If her mother knew, this secret would’ve been exposed years ago and the first person she would have told is Vegeta. “I’ll let my parents know they have to get Trunks ready for school. I can be there in two hours.”
Bulma turned off her phone and pushed herself off the sofa. Dammit. What a mess. She had to shower and get some coffee in her before she left. “I need a cigarette,” Bulma yawned as she opened the door. She jolted when Vegeta stood on the other side. Bulma took a step back fearing the worst. He wasn’t Namekian but Saiyans do have sharp ears.
“Bulma, what the hell have you been up to?”
Bulma brushed past him and pretended she didn’t know.  “Up to what, Vegeta? It was a work call. Unlike Saiyans who train all day, Earthlings have to work.”
“Earthlings don’t get middle-of-the-night calls unless they are leaders.”
“And owners of billion Zeni companies.” Bulma pulled a dress from her closet.
“Where are you going?”
“There’s an issue at one of our facilities. An explosion,” Bulma lied. “I’m checking the damages. I’ll be gone for a few hours.”
Vegeta extended his arm in front of the bathroom. “Are you using this to get away from me?”
Bulma pushed but Vegeta wouldn’t move. “Not everything is about you, Vegeta.”
“I apologized. It was a mistake. I won’t do it again.”
“Because Bobbidi isn’t here? What happens when the next wizard shows up with unlimited power and all you have to do is sell your soul?”
Vegeta didn’t resist when Bulma pushed again. She brushed past Vegeta into the bathroom and shut the door. When Bulma stepped out, Vegeta was gone. He left a note on the door.  “Coffee and your airship will be ready for you. I’ll inform your parents to watch Trunks.”
Bulma smiled at the card tenderly. She was angry with Vegeta but he was trying to atone. Maybe when this Raditz thing is settled we can talk.
Bulma grabbed her coffee and hopped into the airship Vegeta left running for her. She was unaware of Vegeta hiding in the back. The Saiyan knew Bulma was hiding something from him. Bulma always shared issues going on with Capsule Corporation. He didn’t offer an opinion but he noticed when Bulma didn’t share. He noticed when Bulma took calls in front of him and the rare times she left the room. He felt it in his blood Bulma was hiding something from him and with things strained with them, he couldn’t allow it to go further. So he stowed on the airship to find answers.
When the ship touched down, Vegeta immediately felt a Ki. It was familiar but Vegeta couldn’t pinpoint who it was. He stayed on the ship as Bulma greeted Adira and walked in the opposite direction of the Ki. This allowed Vegeta to track it alone. He followed the Ki to the lower levels of the facility. There was security around but no one questioned Vegeta’s appearance since they knew of him and his connection to the Briefs family.
Vegeta tracked the Ki to an iron door guarded by two armed men. They noticed Vegeta and acknowledged him with a nod. “Open the door,” he commanded. One armed man looked hesitant but did as ordered and unlocked the door.
“He’s dangerous,” the armed guard warned Vegeta. “We had a hard time containing him.”
“Understood,” Vegeta played along.  “But I can handle him.” Vegeta stepped into the dark room wondering who they were referring to and why his Ki felt familiar. Lights from the cell drew Vegeta that when he reached it, he froze.
It’s impossible. He should be dead!
In a cylinder cell, Raditz stood bound with chains on his wrists and collar. There were dark, red burns on Raditz’s chest. If not for his long hair, Vegeta suspected burns were on his back, too. He wore a mask over his mouth. His head was bowed and his eyes were closed. He hadn’t noticed Vegeta circling his prisoned chamber.
He hasn’t mastered sensing Ki.
“Raditz.”
Raditz’s tired eyes opened and widened slightly when he saw Vegeta. “Prince Vegeta.”
“Oh, shit.”
Vegeta turned at that soft voice. Bulma and Adira arrived. Adira appeared calm while Bulma was horrified. He could see it in her eyes her shock at him. “How did you get here?”
“Fuck that.” Vegeta wasn’t going to answer when she owed him an explanation. “What the hell is this, Bulma?”
Earlier, Adira greeted Bulma on the heliport when she touched down. Bulma stepped out of the ship and looked around. From the outside, the facility looked in perfect condition. “I expected some damage.” Bulma removed her dark shades and walked with Adira inside the building. “Raditz’s last major escape damaged the East Wing for months.”
“We fortified things since but there’s heavy damage internally. He got the East Wing again. The armory received heavy damage. Two of the labs are destroyed.”
As Adira talked, Bulma surveyed the damage. There were basketball-sized holes in walls and light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Two hallways were unsafe to cross. The elevator wasn’t serviceable so they took the stairs to the underground area where Raditz was held.
“Any updates on how Raditz got out?”
“We found an air leak in his room. We did a rush job fixing Raditz’s room after Majin Boo no one caught it.”
“Ah, damn,” Bulma groaned. “He’s been getting stronger all this time and waited for the right moment. Is he properly sealed?”
“Yes,” Adira hesitantly answered, “He’s weaker again, bound and suffered some bruising from the electro charges, but, Bulma, I don’t agree with this protocol. It’s not humane.”
“Not humane?” Bulma gestured to the destruction around them. “Look at what Raditz did. We can’t go easy on him.”
“I know,” Adira agreed. “I was here when it happened but…..” how to explain she wondered. “It’s not right.”
“Is there something I should know?” Adira always followed Bulma’s orders on dealing with Raditz when he got out of line. This was the first time Adira questioned her authority. “Do you have feelings for Raditz?”
“Bulma.” Adira was offended. “I’ve watched Raditz over the years. I’ve seen him change. I’m speaking as a professional and his doctor.”
Bulma wagged a finger. Something wasn’t right about this. “I wondered about you since your divorce.”
“That was five years ago.”
“You haven’t dated much.” That was a red flag to Bulma. Adira was beautiful. She had a movie star face and a tall and statuesque model figure. A woman with her looks and brains would not be single long unless she wanted it or had eyes on someone. “Most of your time has been here with Raditz. He’s affecting you.”
They were approaching the iron door. Adira scanned her badge on the door. It opened. “He’s not affecting me. I think what Vegeta did is blinding you from rationality.”
“Miss Briefs,” an armed guard tried to warn Bulma but she stepped into the room with Adira and ignored the guard.
“I have my problems with Vegeta now but he’s--- oh, shit.” Vegeta! He was standing in front of Raditz’s cell. What was he doing here? Did he follow her? “How did you get here?”
“Fuck that.” Vegeta brushed off her question. “What the hell is this, Bulma?”
Her heart never beat so fast. She never felt so exposed. She never saw Vegeta so livid at her.
No. Not now. This wasn’t how Bulma wanted Vegeta to know. She wanted to ease him into the situation gently. “I can explain.”
“I hope you can because what the hell, Bulma?!” Vegeta roared. Bulma could annoy him but she never angered him. He never felt betrayed by her but that’s what he felt seeing Raditz chained and bruised. “Why is Raditz here? Why is he like this?!”
It galled him to see a fellow Saiyan like this. Years ago, he wouldn’t have cared but when Goku died and the remaining Saiyans were Gohan, Trunks and eventually Goten, Vegeta’s mindset changed. He felt a responsibility to the last of his kind and to see a fellow Saiyan in this condition and knowing his mate had a hand in it, sickened him.
“It doesn’t look like it, Vegeta,” Bulma began her story, “but I wanted to do the right thing.”
Twelve Years Ago
Goku was dead. Gohan was kidnapped by Piccolo and wouldn’t return him for a year. Their reunion was a disaster and as Bulma. Master Roshi and Krillin stared down Raditz’s dead body, they were lost on their next move.
“What do we do with him?” Krillin wondered. “Can we leave a dead body lying like this?”
“Wouldn’t be a smart idea, Krillin. We passed that farmer on the way over. Someone will come looking for him. They’ll find Raditz.” Master Roshi had one solution to the dilemma. “We gotta get rid of him.”
Krillin caught Bulma and Master Roshi’s stares. “You’re kidding me!” Krillin protested. “Why do I have to bury him?”
“I’m not touching a dead body.” Bulma opened her pocket of capsules. “I’m sure I have shovels in here.”
Master Roshi removed his surcoat. “I’ll help you, Krillin.”
Once Raditz was buried, Bulma flew Krillin and Master Roshi back to the island. Burying Raditz sounded like the right idea but hours later, Bulma had doubts. “It’s a shame Goku had a brother and he turned out like that. We could’ve learned so much.”
“About kidnapping uncles?” Krillin quipped.
“About Saiyans. Imagine scientifically what we could’ve learned. Think of what Goku could’ve learned about his parents. His past is a blank.”
“Goku doesn’t care about that stuff.” Krillin pulled off his shoes and shook the dirt off. “I learned unless he’s from Earth, the only good Saiyan is a dead Saiyan. Bulma, we got two more of these coming to Earth to kill us. If you’re so curious, why don’t you ask them then?”
Vegeta couldn’t mask his disgust at how this story began. “If you buried Raditz, what the hell did you do? Dig him back up?!”
“No.” Bulma would never do that. “My Dad did.” Vegeta threw his hands up. “While Krillin and I were getting Yamcha and Tien caught up, I called my Dad and told him about Raditz. He agreed with me. He got the robots to dig up Raditz’s body and put him in the capsule I stored Krillin and Master Roshi in when King Piccolo was causing trouble.”
Vegeta was vaguely aware of that story and the preservation capsules. “So, when I came to live with you, Raditz was there?”
“Raditz was here. I thought about going back on my plan when you moved in but you were so closed off about Saiyans and you can’t tell us anything about Goku’s parents. When Goku was on Yardrat, I looked for the dragon balls with Yamcha.”
“He knows?!”
If Yamcha knew, he never would’ve helped. “I told him I wanted to collect dragon balls in case we needed them for an emergency.”
“Wait,” Vegeta remembered that day the skies darkened in the afternoon. “Was that the day you confessed using dragon balls to find your missing purse?!”
“Yeah,” Bulma confessed sheepishly. Vegeta wasn’t the only one to question her. Yamcha and Piccolo did, too. “Raditz was in a state of rage. He destroyed the capsule, robots and killed a couple of guards. It wasn’t easy containing him but we did. I offered Raditz a second chance and he rejected it so I kept him here.”
“I see.” Vegeta understood Raditz’s rage. He would’ve done the same. He looked at Adira. “And how do you fit into all of this?”
“I couldn’t be here monitoring Raditz all the time,” Bulma explained. “Besides, my genius level of science is in engineering and tech. Adira’s specialties are genetics, biology and physiology. She’s the best person to monitor Raditz and study Saiyans.”
“Study Saiyans.” It was so insulting to Vegeta. “He’s not a lab rat! He’s a Saiyan. A warrior!”
“We never poke and prodded Raditz, Vegeta. We provided him with a comfortable room. He had plenty of food, a bathroom, books and a TV.”
Raditz snarled. She spoke as if it was a paradise. “That room had tainted air to keep me weak. You let me out of that cage twice a week for two hours.” He raised his hands to show his steel wristbands. “I had to wear these whenever I left and if I got out of line, I was electrocuted!”
“I ordered that because the first three years you were out of control! You were constantly trying to break out. Ten men died because of you while more were injured.” Bulma knew the methods were cruel but felt she didn’t have a choice. Raditz could not be reasoned with. “When Vegeta came to live with me, he never acted like you even though he was a murderer then.”
“All right,” Vegeta intervened. If he hadn’t, Bulma and Raditz would be arguing with each other and blaming the other for Raditz’s imprisonment. “Did you check on him?”
“Every few months. I talked about you and Goku. I thought that would inspire him to change. He knows about you two being Super Saiyans. He knows Freeza is gone. He knows about Cell.”
“Kakarot is back. Dpes Raditz know?”
Bulma had her eyes on Adira when she said, “I would have broken the news differently but someone jumped the gun.”
Adira ignored the blame pushed on her. Instead, she noted Vegeta’s anger and thought to use that to Raditz’s advantage to bring the one who could resolve this. “Son Goku’s return triggered Raditz’s outbreak. When Son Goku died at the Cell Game, Raditz changed. He stopped trying to break out. He began accepting life on Earth. He was curious about his nephews. He wanted to fight Majin Boo and when he heard you and Son Goku ask for power, he raised his hands. He got the rest of us to donate, too.”
“Majin Boo.” Vegeta was still processing Raditz was alive. It hadn’t clicked he was here when Majin Boo was destroying the planet.
“Yes. The facility was damaged. Raditz could’ve left but he stayed to show he wasn’t a killer anymore. He wants to show he can be trusted.”
Vegeta had an idea what happened but he asked. “What happened after that?”
Bulma’s silence forced Adira to talk. “Bulma didn’t think Raditz was ready. Raditz lost hope he would get out and he broke out. He did it because he wants to see his brother.”
“It’s because of me, isn’t it?” Bulma didn’t answer but Vegeta knew it was true. “Dammit.”
“I was being cautious,” Bulma defended her decision. “I wanted to give Raditz more time to prove himself. His break out validates my concerns.”
“Validate. Validate,” Vegeta muttered as he paced. He was so angry. How could Bulma do this?  “You have the nerve to be pissed over what happened with Bobbidi while you’ve been hiding this shit for years?! I’ve been walking on eggshells around you! Fuck!”  Vegeta punched the glass cylinder holding Raditz. It shattered under his impact. Vegeta stepped over the broken glass and ripped the mask over Raditz’s mouth.
“Vegeta, don’t—”
Bulma tried to warn him but as Vegeta touched the manacles on Raditz’s wrists,  a charge of electricity ripped through Raditz and Vegeta. While Raditz screamed in pain, the electrical charges stung Vegeta as if pricked with needles. Vegeta rippled the chains off Raditz’s wrists and collar and tossed them away. Weak, Raditz fell forward. Vegeta stumbled slightly at the sudden weight of the tall Saiyan against him.
Vegeta carried out Raditz and laid him on the floor. “I’ll be back,” he vowed and stormed past Bulma.
“Where are you going?!”
“To do what you should’ve done!”
“Vegeta!!” Bulma called but he didn’t come back. “Dammit!” She knew where Vegeta was going. It’s over.
Adira gently pulled Raditz to stand. “Uhh!” she wobbled at the heavy Saiyan pressing his weight on her. “We should get him out.” She slipped on a cracked glass but smacked her face against the wall. It hurt but she caught herself. “Vegeta could’ve helped get Raditz out of here. Where did he go?”
Bulma looked back at Adira struggling to hold up Raditz. He nearly swallowed her body which was no easy feat considering Adira was nearly six feet in height without heels. Bulma grabbed Raditz’s right arm and helped Adira drag him out.
“Vegeta’s getting Goku.”
“Vegeta?” Goku turned off his tractor as the Saiyan Prince descended from the sky. Vegeta never came to the farm unless forced to by Bulma. Goku stepped out of his tractor and wiped sweat from his face and neck. Farmwork didn’t tire him but the summer heat was strong this week. “I wonder what’s up.” Vegeta wasn’t wearing his normal scowl but Goku could tell something was on Vegeta’s mind. “I can’t spar today, Vegeta. It’s harvest week for the tomatoes and cucumbers. Maybe the peppers, too. Chi-Chi’s gonna check on them when she comes with lunch.”
“I’m not here for a spar, Kakarot.” He had the entire time from leaving the facility to think of the right words but he still didn’t know how to say it. Probably because I’m still in shock, too. I can’t believe he’s alive.
“What are you here for?” Goku went around to the other side of the tractor. He opened the door to dig into the cooler of drinks Chi-Chi packed for him.
For years, Vegeta hated Goku. He wanted him dead. This man destroyed his pride and humiliated him with his skills and strength, but he also inspired Vegeta, helping him to attain Super Saiyan and showing him there is life besides fighting. Ten years ago. Fifteen years ago, Vegeta would’ve loved to drop this news on Goku. He would’ve loved to see the shock and horror on his face. Now, Vegeta was empathetic to Goku and what this news will do to him.
“I have something to tell you, Kakarot. It’s serious.”
“A new enemy?” Goku guessed as he guzzled his water. “It’s so soon. We usually get a few years break. Chi-Chi won’t like it since that means I won’t be working on the farm but I’m always up to fight a strong opponent.”
Kakarot can beat him now. “I don’t think he’s an enemy anymore and you’re stronger than him now. He is someone from your past and he wants to see you.”
Goku put the empty bottle into the cooler and reached for another one. “Hmm.” Goku shook his frozen bottle. He gently raised his Ki to melt the ice. “Someone weak wants to see me? Who and how do you know him?”
“It’s complicated, Kakarot.” Just say it! his mind screamed but Vegeta couldn’t formulate the words and it didn’t help Goku wore his charismatic smile and looked at him with innocent eyes that sent Vegeta into a panic. “I didn’t know he was alive, Kakarot. I didn’t know he was here but I’m doing the right thing telling you.”
“You ain’t told me anything!” Why was Vegeta so hesitant to say who wants to see him? “Do you wanna tell Chi-Chi so she can tell me? She’s good at breaking news to me.”
Ah, hell no! I refuse to be in the same room when she knows!
“No!” Vegeta panicked. “No,” he repeated calmer. Vegeta exhaled. He faced Freeza. He faced Majin Boo. He can tell Goku this. “I was shocked when I saw him, Kakarot. I thought he was dead. I can’t believe he’s alive.”
There was something in Vegeta’s voice that worried Goku. It wasn’t fear but Vegeta was bothered and the way he insisted he didn’t know….. “Who?” Goku probed for an answer. “Who did you see, Vegeta?”
“Raditz, Kakarot,” Vegeta finally said. “Your brother…is alive.”

wait not only Val but quite literally also a Varedis moment could happen too
oh no
man not me hoping the Azwrath time rift will have like a demon hunter enclave thats against the Legion but with the whole Illidan model data mine I doubt that-
Meaning Aamona gets to have a Varedis 2.0 moment but even worse bc she runs into Val, her first crush who survived in this timeline (his death caused her to become a DH in the first place in main TL), as a corrupted Legion aligned Elf and she's probably gotta kill him with her hands too.
Right after she finally was getting emotionally better

honestly, this was probably the best thing to happen to Dieter. So while I’m gutted he and everybody else had to go through this, it can only go up from here!
but also… he called Talia in that moment 🥺 that just kinda makes me 🥺😭😭
And also. I’m gonna say it and I know I’m probably alone with this but man… I found Lauren kinda annoying this chapter lmao 😂 like I know where she’s coming from with Talia not actually dealing with her shit but come on.. cut her some slack? Her famous actor boyfriend broke up with her via a phone call and then got permanently drunk while basically the whole world was watching.
I just found her a bit too righteous and pushy. Also the song choice for her, that was kinda messed up? It’s not like Talia wanted to break up with Dieter?? She didn’t have to show or prove anything to him really, so I just kinda didn’t like that tbh!
But this chapter was great!! I wish I could just continue reading to find out what happens next because aaaaaaah!! I’m so desperate for them to reunite when whatever was up with Dieter is finally better. I feel like he’s gonna be so sorry and I can already see him in a hospital bed looking all small and sad and puppy eyes 🥺
Tumblr media
Thanks for the message anon! Looks like you’re putting me to the test today. 🤣
This response includes spoilers for chapter 24 of Destiny & Deliverance below the cut.
It’s definitely a good thing that it happened the way it did. It could have gone very badly if Dieter hadn’t of made that call. I think once it’s revealed what is going on with him, everyone will be surprised and realize it should never have happened at all. It is sad for all involved obviously…and to think, these types of things really do happen every day.
Yes! Talk about drunk dialing…The fact that he called her tells us he was ready to stop fighting his feelings. He wanted to fix it and he knew he fucked up. Unfortunately, he was too messed up to really get any of that out. It did hit the feels extra hard though. I also love that Talia didn’t hesitate to go to him once she realized something was off. She’s going to take care of him no matter how big of an ass he has been. She loves him too much not to.
So Lauren…I think it may help to have some insight on where she’s coming from. Let’s remember, it’s been several months since Talia and D split. Also, we have to consider Talia’s history. Lauren knows that Talia holds things in and will self destruct over it. She did it with her marriage and she’s doing it even worse with D. Lauren just wants to get through to her and prevent something bad from happening (again). Keep in mind, Talia knew an awful lot about alcohol poisoning. We will circle back around to that topic eventually. So, Lauren starts taking a bit of a tough love approach. Sometimes, that is something you have to do with people (trust me, I’ve been there). It’s truly coming from a place of love for her friend. She’s worried about her.
Now, on the flip side of that, Dieter was one of Lauren’s few close friends too. Talia wasn’t the only one who lost him when he hit that self destruct button. Lauren is also now dating D’s brother and sees the affect D’s spiral is having on Alex too. She is privy to information that Talia doesn’t have. She has communicated with Dieter and tried to talk to him just like his family has. Remember in chapter 23 when she said, “You’re both so fucking stubborn”? She was totally working behind the scenes to sort D out and getting nowhere with him. Why? Because he had convinced himself that Talia was moving on and didn’t need him in her life. Outwardly, Talia seemed to be ok with the split and he didn’t believe Lauren when she told him otherwise.
Now the song… was it messed up? Yes, a little. Lauren honestly wasn’t expecting that type of reaction from Talia though. However, Lauren did hope that it might make Talia think about how she was really feeling. It worked, a little too well.
As far as Talia having something to prove to D…you’re right, she didn’t have anything, but Lauren did. Lauren wanted D to know that Talia was in fact hurting over the split and missed him because he didn’t believe it. We have to remember, at this point D is not speaking to the family (or Lauren by extension) and she was looking to reach him any way she could because she knows how bad off he really is. The family is grasping at straws by this point. She saw the situation as an opportunity.
So long story short, Lauren really is stuck between a rock and hard place. She’s trying to navigate it the best she can, but it’s to the point where they are all getting a little desperate.
Hopefully that gives a little more insight into Lauren’s POV on everything. She really has no malicious intentions, she just wants her friends to be healthy and happy.
They will be reunited eventually. It’s going to be a long road for him, and Talia too. And yes, there will be a lot of sad puppy dog eyes in the coming chapters. 🥹
I’m happy you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for following along on this little adventure! 💜

Voice Lines about Goldina
Albedo
"Goldina is my sister, she was created three days after I was, she was another successful experiment. Since then we've travelled with each other and refer to each other as Twins, she has a sweet personality when she's not being sassy towards people. It's natural that we're protective of each other"
Jean
"I don't see Goldina much around Mondstadt and all that...but whenever Albedo appears, she's just a step behind him. I know they're twins but wow."
Kaeya
"Hahaha, Goldina? I don't ever see her, if you wanna get a glimpse of the rare flower, you have to go and see Albedo. Why you may be wondering? It's because she's always at his side no matter where he goes."
Diluc
"Goldina has quite the throwing arm, even though I rarely see her, the times I do see her she's helping me get rid of some pesky customers.."
Venti
"Goldina, ah yes! She's quite an interesting person to talk to, you hardly see her around Mondstadt, unless Albedo is visiting then everyone gets a reminder that he has a twin sister. She is pretty strange though..she came out of nowhere"
Lisa
"Goldina? Ah...yes! Albedo's twin! I remember now, I don't know much about her but I do know that she is rather great with the kids of Mondstadt, whenever she comes she offers to take Klee, Roxto, Vixo and the others off our hands until she leaves, a sweetheart she is"
Bennett
"Oh yeah! I remember Goldina, boy, I still can't forget how fierce she was in that fight when she thought we were holding Albedo prisoner, I'm glad to see her and her brother reunited once again!"
Razor
"Goldina is kind. She is very kind to Razor and to Tooth. Takes Tooth off Razor's hands when she visits, very helpful. Razor is grateful for Goldina's presence."
Eula
"Oh! Yes, I remember Goldina, she helped me when my son, Roxto, was sick in bed and kept getting worse. She brought a bowl of cold water, soaked and wrung a towel out, placing it on Roxto's head and that was it, he was suddenly all better. I can't help but be suspicious though."
Amber
"Goldina! I know her, yeah! She's Albedo's twin right? I don't see much of her but when I do, she's running around with little kids. Although she gives me...a bad feeling let's just say, there are times where I don't trust her"
Barbara
"Whenever I see Goldina, she's with Albedo..I always wonder why she doesn't go anywhere without him, it's a bit suspicious is it not, the only time she splits from him is to babysit Klee and the other kids"
Diona
"I don't trust Goldina, she's hiding something and it must be a dark secret. I've seen her threaten people, it may look harmless but her stance says that she's done this before!"
Fischl
"Something is so very off about Albedo's twin, whenever she's around things feel so gloomy not to mention I heard about the ordeal with Roxto. Whenever I try to talk to her, Albedo runs over and sends Goldina elsewhere...suspicious, very suspicious.."
Mika
"Goldina? AH, yes! I remember I saw her sleepwalking one time, Albedo rushed over to her in a panic and carried her all the way back home. It was pretty surprising, I wonder what's going on.."
Noelle
"Goldina is very kind, she can be sassy at the same time though, although whenever I interact with her she makes me feel defensive"
Mona
"I...don't really know anything about Goldina, whatever I know is told to me from other people but I can say for sure is that she's hiding something big and Albedo is trying to protect either her or us from it"
Rosaria
"I absolutely do not trust Goldina, whenever I see her she makes me go on the defensive instantly, it never fails and the way Albedo seems so protective of her doesn't help my suspicion"
Sucrose
"Ah...Goldina, I talk to her sometimes but she doesn't like talking to me much from what I've seen. I hope this isn't about me seemingly taking her place or something, she must be jealous because she hadn't seen Albedo in so long"
Klee
"Goldina is my big sister, alongside Minata and Elizia! She takes care of me and makes sure I'm safe. I love her soooooooo much, as much as my Mom!"

Everything I know about Ciel is against my will. You see, I hadn’t read the manga all the way yet and any knowledge I do have of future events come from blogs I follow (I know about the twins and Agni’s death, that sort of stuff). Against my better judgement, I decided to read further ahead because I wanted some context (I’m currently on the circus arc) and I am truly devastated upon reading ch 135. It made me so upset and I know what I came here for, Kuro is not exactly a bright and upbeat story, but having the kinds of things done to him spelled out instead of being inferred or implied is heartbreaking. I tried to continue reading where I was at in the story but couldn’t stop looking at Ciel and being sad for him. I’m kind of avoiding continuing reading because of that and although I’m 6 years late to the “ch.135 is sad” party, I needed to get my feelings out. Sorry if it’s not the place but no one I know is into Kuro and would be able to understand.
That being said, is it possible that what happened to him within the cult effected the way he interacts with/ sees/ treats any adults regardless of who they are or whether they’re “safe” or not? I always saw him as someone who is trying to escape from his childhood while at the same time attempting to reclaim it. I haven’t read all the way through so I may be missing more information. It’s a question I had swimming in my mind after being totally crushed.
Post traumatic stress
Since you are currently in the circus arc, it's hard for me to say too much without spoiling things even more.
Everything about our earl's (our Ciel's) position as Earl Phantomhive, the queen's watchdog, must be a near constant struggle for him. He suffered greatly before he had ever returned to the manor, and yet he chooses to fill this role. Every time he has to deal with some creep -- even Vanel within the first few chapters -- he must feel repulsed by what they say, let alone anything they might do. Sebastian sometimes reinforces those feelings of disgust, even when he's not necessarily trying to do so.
This kid definitely sees adults differently now than before the attack and even more differently now than before the cult got hold of him and his older twin. Before the attack, the worst he had to deal with were bouts of asthma, feelings of inferiority, and wondering what he would do to make a living when he got older. Those are hard enough. After the initial incident, he's lost not just his family but his entire world, small as it was. After the cult, he's lost most of his innocence and temporarily lost his dignity. He's even lost the brother he'd been reunited with for about a month.
Since returning to the manor, people have sometimes been inappropriate with him, in words and/or in deeds. Vanel says he'd sell the kid off and thinks it's considerate to say he'd drug him enough that he wouldn't know or care what was happening to him -- not having a clue this kid's already been through that and worse. Druitt tries to auction him off while thinking he's a girl; oddly, though, that means Druitt didn't personally examine the kid. Doll places his hands on her chest to show she's a girl and offers to let him see what's further down. In a later arc, Sieglinde does and says several highly inappropriate things.
There's been a big delay in typing up the rest of my response, so I have no idea how far along you are now, if you are still reading the series. Perhaps you've hit the green witch arc and know what Sieglinde does and says....
It seems to me that Sebastian enjoys watching his young master suffer from reminders of what he'd experienced from the cultists. You can see some of that when he saves the kid from Vanel. A little bit in getting ready for Druitt's party and the escape from it. And even more when he doesn't kill the circus doctor until his master can finally get the words out to order him to do so. I'm assuming you've finished the circus arc by now, at least. He lets the kid suffer a bit more than necessary later on, in other scenarios, and sometimes just plain makes the kid feel uncomfortable. Though, oddly, he doesn't say anything about how he got information out of Beast; he could have told the kid just to see the revulsion on his face, but he doesn't. But there are other times where he "shields" the kid from viewing mature content, but I think that has more to do with being a proper butler to a child, when the other servants are around. Like it's an act for their benefit, not his master's benefit.
For the most part, our earl doesn't automatically treat adults (or other minors) like they might harm him, but whenever anyone talks about anything sexual or exposes parts that would be considered inappropriate for the era -- or even touches him in an unexpected manner -- you can tell he's a bit on edge, sometimes plain grossed out by it.

SOOOOO I'm watching frozen w/ my little sister, and it's bringing back fierce opinions younger me had. And new Opinions that I have now.
Hate that Hans was the bad guy smh. Worse thing ever, little me hated it, and bigger me still hates that even to this day.
My headcanon: Anna, Hans, and Kristoff are all in a polyamorous relationship! ☝️
Idk how it would have happened but it should have happened. I really like Hans as a character and actually now that I'm watching it, I guess it makes sense that he's the bad guy, he has the motives and shit, just the twist villain with him didn't feel right but also it kinda does? Like I can see it works but I don't like the execution? That's just me though.
Anyways my headcanon involves Hans actually caring about Anna and they kiss but it doesn't work. Like what Hans has for her isn't love it's infatuation. Or desire idk, so she thinks that she's actually in love with Kristoff and stuff and so she goes to try and find him. And she is kinda in love with Kristoff, and Hans and her talk and he's understanding and let's her go, or he acts like he's ok with her being in love with another guy and so he's conflicted but he ultimately chooses to let her go. He goes to get Elsa and Anna goes with Olaf to get Kristoff, Uhhhh the bad guy can be the little old man or someone else that was introduced in the beginning idk. Could have introduced another bad guy in the beginning (in this au) anyways everything happens the same towards the end only Anna stops someone who isn't Hans or helps Elsa in some way, elsa hugs Anna proving true love isn't just romantic it can also be familial or platonic or whatever. Kristoff and Anna are dating and Hans has to go back to his kingdom. Also Hans having 12 brothers? Hans saying that he could have caused an accident towards Elsa? Yea that man's family is probably evil. His family is probably more dramatic and evil and stuff. Where else did he get these crazy ideas?
Anyways continuing this au arendale gets more political, Hans has made an impression on the people soooo excuses on how he can go back to arendale, him and Anna catch up, uhhh something happens, now he's forced to spend time with Kristoff, they don't like each other and are jealous of one another, Kristoff fears that Anna will leave him for Hans especially since when her and Hans reunited they had such good chemistry. He calls him a pretty boy (motherfucker thinks he's pretty) Hans calls him a brute underneath his breath (he thinks Kristoff is hot asf) Kristoff is very nice and Hans is kinda like a snake. Anna likes them both.
It's is a "love triangle" Anna wants them to get along Hans Is in love with Anna and unknowingly falls in love with Kristoff, Kristoff is in love with Anna and is also unknowingly fallen in love with Hans. Hans realizes his feelings first. Is in pure agony. I think Kristoff is next actually and he at first thinks he just starts to like Hans as a friend, cue bromance, realizes he's in love with Hans, panics cause instead of worrying about Anna he's worried about himself. Calms down and becomes the most composed since he knows about Polyamory since he grew up with the love experts, now planning on what to do next.
Anna is the last one to realize (she's kinda slow when it comes to romance) panics the most. Goes to the love trolls, cue musical, realizes she is polyamorous and that she might be able to have both.
Hans is dramatic and hates himself. Tries to leave. Anna and Kristoff talk. Uhhhhh something something, Elsa is AroAce and discovers her true love is politics (or is lesbian, both? Her true love is still politics idk). Some bad guy causes trouble, something something Hans, something something Anna and Kristoff tell each other their feelings. Anna and Kristoff try to save Hans. Hans becomes the damsel in distress (Lol). They all tell each other their feelings. Now in a poly relationship.
Elsa's pov is a political drama and The others are a romance.
Hans is introduced to the love experts. (His in-laws)
Happy ending.

As we know why Bruce changed from Spruce to Bruce to leave the whole band thing behind in the original (If I’m correct-)
But there’s some AUs of yours that the band doesn’t exist, but Spruce still did change his name to Bruce, why did he do that?
About Solder AU
For some reason I’m mad and disappointed in BroZone’s parents.
Do Mom really hates John Dory? Do Dad not care about his four young sons?
Why did they keep their sons away from seeing each other?
What they did was really stupid and worse. Divorced or not, having siblings separated isn’t great idea. Poor Branch…
(I know he doesn’t remember John Dory)
I’m glad that all brothers are finally going to reunite and Bruce and Clay giving John Dory a chance even if John Dory wasn’t sure if they want him back.
Alright!
This gets just a bitttt long.
For Bruce's name the short answer is I'm just kind of lazy lol.
In my other human au, Half Life, there is a notion that Spruce doesn't like his name. It has nothing to do with a band or an old identity, like in canon but it does kind of include him moving on. It's actually kind of the opposite a little bit of canon and the band thing? Like, in Half Life, Spruce moves on my owning his name and learning to like it. It's his and no one can take that away. Sure, it's kind of weird and yeah, his parents gave it to him - but it's something that he confronts and works through, kind of like a metaphor(?) for him confronting and working through his feelings on what he has been through.
In Soldier On, I was mostly just lazy. I didn't think about it. The whole concept was really just that little snippet and I wasn't planning on doing anything else at the time so I just wrote Bruce. So, idk, maybe he changed his name in this au or maybe he was born/named Bruce. You can decide lol
As for Soldier On Specifically in the other questions...
Luckily, none of the bros actually blame John for pretty much any of this. Granted, it would be hard to be upset at all considering what he has been through and also that they kinda forgot about HIM. John Dory has some feelings and some reservations about all this. He loves them but he knows he's not always easy to get along with and considering the last part of his upbringing, he's got some doubts, mostly in himself.
Branch doesn't remember JD but he remembers little things, feelings, mostly. He can hum/possibly sing an old song that no one knows how he knows. No one knows where it came from. Well, no one knows because it was JD who made it up and sung it to him as a baby. A lot. So, it's almost kind of engrained accidentally? They do end up getting along.
As for their parents...
The mom doesn't hate John and the dad does care about his other kids; it was just the tail end of an extremely long and drawn out fight where no one really won. The divorce was brutal, bitter and messy. I'm talking no holds barred nasty. Now, I do want to say, that the dad was not abusive; he didn't beat up his wife or make the whole thing traumatizing for her. They aren't divorcing because she's trying to get away from her crazy ex husband. That is NOT what happened. They were mean and cruel to each other but this is not one sided and the mom is not a victim of domestic violence. I'm not saying the dad is better than her but I do want to point that out.
The only - sort of - compromise that the two of them were ever able to make was the dad getting the oldest son, aka John. There are reasons for this, partially because John could live where their father was going to take him and not be super dependent, partially becomes lets face it, courts will favor the mother and if he fought her more over the kids, he was going to lose. Not because he's worse (they both kinda suck) but because that's the way things work.
The mom dealt with things by cutting out her ex husband. Instead of trying to work together for the sake of their kids, she shut down and didn't want to think of her ex husband at all. She literally tried to cut him out of her life and since John had to go with said ex husband, she put him in the same boat. She erased his memory, as if he was never there. She did a lot, moving away and didn't tell anyone, got new phones, erased phone numbers and contacts and call history. She did not want her ex husband to have any influence or thought in her life and since John was with him - that included him.
The dad kind of lost fight. He was able to have the company of one kid - the kid who liked the outdoorsy things - and knew the future would not include the others. He moved up north into a place that wasn't very populated. Lived a very, very simple life. More survived than lived. I'm talking probably a log cabin in the middle of the woods kind of living. He accepted what happened and just kind of stopped. He did things with John, mostly fishing, hunting, other outdoor-nature things and he didn't systematically destroy his son's memory like their mother. However, he didn't talk about them either and eventually come to prefer the company of the bottle or a smoke when the subject of his other sons come up. John became extremely self-sufficient very quickly.
There grew some resentment in JD, for sure. Neither parent dealt with any of this really well and in the end, it's not technically what killed them, it was definitely a contributing factor. Both parents died pretty young, although of different causes. The kids were really the ones who lost. In their fight against one another and trying to forget about one another, they brought that all on their kids instead.
While the younger boys lived a busy life with a semi struggling mother trying to drown out any memory or talk of their father and brother, John spent his teenage years in loneliness and virtual silence.
It shows.

Greetings, so have been loyally following the posts and blurbs about the FMN x HIPS crossover because it’s so interesting and combines your wonderful writing. Might I humbly propose something similar? I was wondering about FMN and I thought to myself, hmm how can I make this worse? And well…what would an FMN au look like crossed over with A Love Long Lost? Could you give us blurbs upon blurbs for this? I’m talkin reactions of characters on what Aemond did to Luke (esp Alicent and Helaena). What is life like for Aemond in the modern world now that instead of his canon self who woke up, it’s a version who remembers desecrating Luke’s body? Is he FMN Aemond just dealing with a new history or is modern Aemond just the exact same as a love long lost!AEMOND, no change to speak of? Does Luke remember from the beginning and have to learn what happened to him from the internet or art/history? Or is the story more in line with FMN canon? If Aemond is more like his FMN self, does he have a chance with Luke or will there always be that fear of Aemond regressing and becoming the man who used Luke’s dead body for his own pleasure and obsession? Or is Luke just terrified of even seeing Aemond after learning what he did? Please take this what if and go zoomin
Okay, let me just say ‘hmm how can i make this worse?’ Is literally me anytime I open a google doc.
A love long lost!Aemond is one of my favorites because it plays into how unstable he really is. I mean, anyone who’d slaughter an entire house for no other reason than the fact that they share blood with three boys you have a grudge against (Joff didn’t even do anything mind you) isn’t all the way there mentally. Explores every deeply hidden corner of Aemond’s obsession with Luke from outright anger to the badly hidden desire and even giving attention to his overwhelming need for intimacy/human connection considering that aside from Alys he never truly knew what it felt like to be desired for himself. And even then their relationship was all a ploy for power on her part.
Now, I personally don’t like the whole “every time a Targaryen is born the gods flip a coin blah blah blah” mess because it takes away from the fact that they’re not normal people. Magic literally runs through their veins, so mental illness isn’t a Targaryen trait passed from generation to generation in this instance, it’s simply something pertaining only to Aemond. Certain circumstances such as being marked as “other” from his brother and nephews due to being dragon less, having an overbearing mother who leans on you to fill the role of certain relationships she lacks due to being a sold off child bride who lives off of resentment, losing his eye and seeing how little his own father did to punish or at the very least give a stern scolding to the one who did it. It’s the perfect recipe in creating a man who’d so easily break after taking a life for the first time. The life of the one person his existence had circled around for years at that.
One thing about FMN is that it plays off every characters past. For instance, HIPS X FMN crossover would feature an Aemond who while is remorseful, still carries the need to “get back whats his.” in a way due to both his biology and the way prime alphas are socialized. He still holds onto the idea that both Luke and Osferth belong to him despite the circumstances. So things would be definitely prove the same for a love long lost! Aemond. Especially considering how we have a degree of mental instability playing into his actions.
Does regret or remorse for violating Luke’s corpse come to be because of his exposure to this new world? Not at all. In Aemond’s mind Luke belongs to him in both life and death regardless of circumstance and has so ever since Luke took his eye. It’s a debt that time will never be able to repay, a rope tying them together for eternity. And everyone being reborn into this new millennia only assures Aemond that fate is going to reunite him with his love.
Aemond not only remembers his actions fondly, but becomes enamored with how history regards him. Has pride in his love being so deep that others get queasy at the mention of it. I’d even say his education as well as pride in his work as an archivist makes even more sense here as it’s fueled by the want to constantly surround himself with nostalgia. It’s unhealthy yet no one around him (his own family cause the blacks have several restraining orders) feels comfortable enough to pull him out of that festering hole out of both love and fear. Especially Alicent considering she’s the only one who lived to see what her son became. Had to sit across from Luke’s mummified body year after year. Covering her ears at night as she knew her son was intimate with a corpse. Her love as a mother and her disgust as a decent human being are constantly fighting a losing battle because while both are strong, neither can overwhelm the other.
Aegon can’t stand it but stays and tries his best to ignore how far gone his brother is mostly because he feels this mess his fault in part. That his bullying + public humiliation (brothel scene from s2 is a prime example) led to Ameond becoming such a broken man. Though i will say Aegon is the one person who makes it known that Aemond needs help rather than coddling.
Surprisingly enough, Hel is one person who doesn’t walk on egg shells or pretend things are normal. Instead she talks with him about Luke, how it felt to be with the one he loved even if it was just a cold shell. She connects with her brother because he was once the only person she felt close enough with to be herself before Luke’s death changed him for the worst.
We can also make note that Hel once felt outcast for being “creepy” and “odd” herself and therefore forms a connection. Although being autistic coded with an interest in bugs is nothing like being an ill necrophile, there was once a certain mold you had to shape yourself into if you were to be welcomed by others and Hel never fit it. Paired with her dreams and constant episodes of talking to herself creates a bridge between her and Aemond.
As for Luke… I don’t like to imagine him having had such a terrible coming up simply because it would be far too overwhelming. I imagine him growing up in stable foster homes. Good fosters who while lower class do provide love and protection as well as a decent education. It lays the groundwork for being able to see red flags in a man and run rather than go in deeper for the thrill of it.
Considering this incident would be very notorious history involving this house (coming in third behind Roberts rebellion and Dany retaking the throne) its a very well known fact which Luke already has some minor knowledge about. Because of this It would take a lot for him to even give a man who has such an outward obsession with a skin crawling event the time of day. This ofc leads to Aemond doing his best to not come off as a total creep. Stopping himself from smelling Luke’s hair or running fingers across his pulse point to feel the blood pumping. He puts on a mask, one of a normal guy who just so happens to study odd history.
Their relationship would not only have to be a well-kept secret as to avoid the blacks finding out that Aemond’s been in contact with Luke, Alicent and Aegon telling Luke to run for the hills, but also keep from scaring Luke away too soon. However, once Luke recovers his memories their relationship would be over from then on out. The fact that Aemond not only did what he did but feels no guilt and even remembers their past life as “husband and wife” fondly is terrifying.
I must say that this crossover would 9/10 end in tragedy.

The last episode 6
“Must’ve missed all the street signs in the enormous fucking forest.”
“Holy.” 🤣🤣
Joel having a panic attack… I really like that they’re adding his trauma and not overlooking it. Like they’re not pushing it aside and giving subtle hints here and there.
Not Ellie talking about wanting to be an astronaut!!
Me, having flashbacks of part 2 on Ellie’s Birthday:
Tumblr media
Joel had no idea what to do when Ellie was in danger of being found out. That man was frozen in fear.
Joel and Tommy reuniting, me:
Tumblr media
Hearing Joel laugh really warms my heart. Like I don’t know how else to explain it. That man deserves so much love.
“Ellie let’s mind our manners.”
Not five seconds later, after Tommy announces Maria his is wife:
“Joel say congrats.” 😂😂
Then the look on Joel’s face when Tommy mentioned that Maria was pregnant. But then Tommy saying
“Just because life stopped for you doesn’t mean it has to stop for me.”
Me:
Tumblr media
He’s right, Joel is stuck in the past and in a lot of pain but low fucking blow, Tommy. Low blow.
Another panic attack; having a moment where he sees Sarah in another; the way his expression just softens and becomes hopeful then utter heartbreak when reality hits him. What the fuck Neil?!
Tumblr media
Ooo I love the way Maria and Ellie bounce off each other!
Okay I'm good no more crying, but then SIKE I'm gonna make it worse for you. Here's Joel pouring his whole fucking heart out:
"We made it as far as KC- she saved my life there, from another kid. she had to shoot him to save me. because I was too slow and too fuckin' deaf hear him comin'. And I saw a man kill his own brother to save her while I just watched. and today I thought that dog was gonna tear her apart because it smelled somethin' on her. And all I did was stand there. I couldn't move."
Tumblr media
Not even done, Joel continues:
"I was so afraid. I'm not who I was. I'm weak. Lately, there are moments where the fear comes up outta nowhere and my heart feels like it's stopped. and I have dreams every night. I can't remember. I just know that when I wake up I've lost somethin'. I'm failin' in my sleep. It's all I've ever done is fail her again and again."
AND HE'S NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT ELLIE!! SARAH TOO!!
Tumblr media
Writers: "WAIT YOU THOUGHT I WAS DONE? HA NOPE! THERE'S MORE!"
"Do you give a shit about me or not?"
"Of course, I do."
Then he leaves and we're given a flashback of Sarah when she was little, and they were decorating for Christmas? SHUT UP NOBODY FUCKING TOUCH ME!!
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, I'm still sobbing as Joel and Ellie have a cute scene together and he's teaching her to shoot.
*deep breaths* I think it's safe now... (maybe)
Snaps the hunter's neck, "There's my Joel. There's my man."
"I can't fuckin' do this without you."
Shit, I'm tearing up again... what the hell man?! I've played this game and it's like I'm experiencing it for the first fucking time!

Maybe Add a Little Salt
[Today, you get some angsty Brother Elijah lore, via someone left unknown until now. Discussions of grief, mentions of death of a parent, and hinted neglect. Not suitable for younger audiences.] Below the cut.
How do you make grief digestable?
In what way must you spin a tale of loss so that others don't shy away from it, out of pity or digust?
Do you break it into pieces like stale bread?
Let it crumble into each thought and feeling like you're dragging it through the thick, complicated stew that is life?
Only feeding it to people when you know they can handle it, hoping that they won't spit it back in your face when you're at your most vulnerable?
To admit to grief, is to put a new spice in the broth and hope someone doesn't complain about the taste.
Do you compare it to a meal? To food?
Taking the metaphor further, dragging it out in hopes that it will not be misconstrued?
To Ethan, grief is an inedible thing.
There is no stale bread to be softened for consumption.
It is something he has to choke down, for fear that someone might see his discomfort and judge him for it.
Grief is not something to swallowed.
But nevertheless; It sits in his throat.
Leaving his stomach empty.
And his heart full of worries.
Ethan has never believed in God, even as a child, he was dubious.
Still, he attended church on Sundays, sat between his mother and his grandmother while his father took his older siblings out to breakfast.
When they'd get home, he wouldn't eat until lunch.
And he would sit quietly, play with his toys, and try not to get in the way.
Sometimes, his grandmother would invite him to her house, and she would make him cold cheese sandwiches, cut into animal shapes using cookie cutters, and make little marshmallow bunnies for him to eat.
On her good days, his mother would join them.
She'd sit with his grandmother and him in a peaceful silence around the small table in her kitchen.
Just the three of them.
Cozy and warm.
And he'd feel full.
Then they'd go home.
It was always hard, leaving his grandmother's house.
Coming back to their own.
The clutter, the mess.
It only ever seemed to get worse the sicker his mother got, and try as he might, Ethan could only do so much.
After all, his hands had been so little then, and he could barely see over the top of the stove.
He thinks about that a lot.
Too much maybe.
The hopelessness of being so small, of wanting to help, but not being able to.
And then...
And then, well, he couldn't help her even if he wanted to.
He remembers her funeral feeling... short, and unceremonious.
He thinks about that a lot, too.
And it brings him back to his thoughts about God.
About how God only seemed to exist inside the walls of the church, and not in the walls of his own home.
About how his mind had supplied so darkly as a child, in response to being told, "You will all be reunited in Heaven some day." that he'd better hurry up and die already.
About how he carried that sentiment with him for years.
And about how he's somehow still hear over a decade later.
So if you asked Ethan about grief, and about God.
He'd probably tell you neither tastes good, but...
"Maybe add a little salt."
.
.
.
Ethan wishes the day he left home, that things had played out like they do in the movies.
A heartfelt goodbye or even a "So, you're really going through with this?" conversation.
But his house is dark, and his family is asleep.
They know he's leaving.
They do not care.
The only acknowledgement he receives is the porchlight turning off the moment he steps foot inside of the car that's going to take him to the airport.
Where is he going?
Honestly, even he's not sure.
He's half certain he's headed towards disaster, towards death.
But he can't bring himself to be particularly frightened.
He'd received a letter.
Snailmail.
Handwritten.
And what he read inside, he couldn't bring himself to believe.
It was had to be some kind of sick prank.
But it was enough motivation to get himself up out of bed in the middle of the night.
Because, really, what did he have to lose?
His life?
Ethan almost regrets it when he gets on the plane.
He's never flown before, and his stomach does little flips the whole way there.
A mix of anxiety and motion sickness that he braves sandwiched between a crying toddler and a middle aged man who keeps giving him a look that says, "I know what you are."
But, nauseous as he is, Ethan can't bring himself to give a damn.
When the plane lands, it takes all of his strength not to collapse onto the ground and kiss it.
He's never fucking flying again.
Not if he can help it.
"Right... Get your shit together."
Ethan isn't sure what an abbey is, beyond a big building for religious people to hang out, but if the letter he received is to be believed, it's where he'll meet someone important there.
Someone that bothered to write a two page letter expressing their desire to meet him.
Sure.
Sure, why not?
Fuck it.
Fuck it, even if it's a joke, some prank or some scam, at least it'll be...
It'll be better than being stuck at home wasting away.
Again, what does he have to lose?
Standing on the stone steps, Ethan briefly considers just... leaving.
He can leave, right?
That's still an option.
But before he can really consider HOW to backtrack after coming this far, a man with a smile that seems far too kind to be genuine appears through one of the large, wooden doors in front of him.
"You must be Ethan." he greets, "I am-"
Ethan cuts him off.
"You're Elijah Crane."
The pair lock eyes.
"...You're my dad."
Elijah sighs softly.
"I am... and I'm sorry."

Oh ooof this opening call is ROUGH. But truly I love when Maddie gets the cases that hit close to home for her. JLH always delivers.
OH SHIT HE TOOK THE KID OH SHIT
My wife just asked, in extreme alarm, if everything was okay because I was staring at the screen like DDDD:
And then we had a conversation about how Athena should peg Bobby because xe're only on season 2 but when xe're right, xe're right!!
Excited to see more Hen family stuff!!
Oh man I just love what a sweet kid Denny is and how he always looks out for the foster kids that stay with them and now that's letting him be there for Mara too T_T the fact that she trusted him enough to open up about her baby brother I'm gonna cry
"Denny's nice" T________T
Oh Maddie. You probably should have let Josh take over that call, for your own sake if nothing else, but don't beat yourself up over missing something pretty much everyone would have
Oh this doctor is lovely
Don't make promises you might not be able to keep Maddie, even to yourself
Okay what the HELL is going on with this Shannon look alike
So like I have some Issues around reality disconnects and I'm real scared that's what's happening to Eddie right now
Oof that was a difficult conversation but Hen and Karen handled it so well, it could have gone a LOT worse
Chimney is so good
Aaah Chimney putting the pieces together and then catching the baby, and Buck taking the kidnapper down
Badasses both of them
Oh I'm gonna CRY Bobby carrying the baby in to be reunited with her mum
GOD and then the Mara/Tyson reunion, perfectly calculated to hit me while I'm vulnerable
OH NO CUTE this Buck/Eddie moment, Buck throwing popcorn at him, it's too sweet
But he is sooo not meeting Marisol oh Eddie
Maddie and Chimney and Jee-Yun being sooooo cute together. Fambly T_T I get so emotional about the happiness Maddie has found after everything she's been through
Aaaaand yep there's someone who is definitely not Marisol sitting across from Eddie at that table
I'm really not convinced this is as simple as Eddie cheating on Marisol with someone who reminds him of Shannon. I'm worried about my boy, I think he might be straight up snapping.

About that dream sequence in the finale...
Let's break this down, alright...
First off, Luz heard the titan speak to her. That implies that not only can you peer in reflections from the in between realm, but that you can also appear in dreams. Let the fanfictions commence!
Second, a question. How did stringbean enter the dream? Everyone had spell on them so that if you surrounded them with glowing eyes you were in the dream with them. Of course, you still had your powers in the dream...odd, thought you'd be powerless in a nightmare. Another question, how'd Amity just give Luz a glyph? Is it dream logic, they just thought it and it appeared? Why not just wake everyone up then?
Okay, now for the TED-Talk.
It seems the deeper Luz went the more specific and guilty she felt about the accusation. First, she was confronted by Amity, who claims her to be just as evil as Belos for helping him, that she is the real villain. It's Amity saying something her friends already voiced that they don't blame her for. First of all, Amity is someone she's hurt the least. Luz only made her life better. What would Amity say to make her feel guilty? 'I lost my Dad because of you?' That's too similar to Gus. Also she just patched things up with him, on her own, Luz didn't have much to do with that. If anything, Luz gave her the confidence to do it. Amity would have nothing to shame Luz about, so of course she tells Luz the most general thing Luz has been feeling guilty about all season, something Amity said she doesn't blame her for. Luz was more confused than scared seeing Amity, Amity even apologizes before attacking her. Luz knows she's obviously having a bad dream. Not deep into the guilt trip yet.
The second person Luz ran I into was Willow. Luz has had Willow's back since day 1, outside of Amity she's probably her best friend. Luz helped Willow become who she wanted to be, the downside of that is pushing her too much. Luz probably feels that despite all the progress Luz helped her with, now Willow doesn't have a home or family, she has no future. She feels guilty for ruining Willow's life, despite wanting to help her have a better one. Still kind of general though, she feels that way about all of her friends. She'd feel worse about Willow than Amity because Luz has seen Willow at the bottom of the barrel, and she believes she brought her back there.
The third person Luz runs into is Gus. This is where it's starting to get specific. Gus calls her a hypocrite. She has her mom, he's lost his dad. Luz and everybody knows how much Gus is worried about and misses his dad. His dad was his only family. Willow had two dads, Amity has her dad and the twins. Gus has brought up several times in the season how he misses and worries for his dad, this call- out actually has backup. Luz would feel guilty about separating Gus from his only family while she was reunited with her only(?) blood relative. In 'thanks to them' she pointed out how she was home, "but they're not" with a guilty look on her face. She's upset about displacing her entire friend group, but gus is the evidence. She's starting to get nervous here. She tries to defend herself, saying they could still fix things and "get everybody back". Gus then tells her "tell that to him!" He then pushes her so that she falls to the deepest part of the dream, the thing she feels the most specifically guilty for. The one friend they can't bring back.
Here she meets Hunter. She knows Hunter has had a hard life because of Belos, which she looks like now. He's her most traumatized friend. He's also like a brother to her. He tells her how bleak his life was: no school, no friends, just following orders. Then he met flapjack. A cracked Flapjack is on the horizon as a mountain that Hunter was gazing at, a permanent monument in her subconscious to his death. Flapjack was a friend to all of them, especially Hunter, but all of them. Luz was there when they met, she was the one using him which allowed him to be close enough for Belos to attack. Hunter tells her that Flapjack was his best friend, more than his palisman, then blames her saying he lost flapjack helping her. This is technically correct, although Luz was more helping him assuage his worries, they were planning on figuring our a way home so she didn't have to worry about them anymore. Luz is probably thinking that they regret trying to help her. He then points out she got a palisman the next day, which would be hard for him to deal with in his grief. Of course, he's not like that. When stringbean hatched, he was giving a small but sad smile, showing he missed flapjack but was happy for her. She obviously feels guilty for having a palisman so shortly after losing his. He then collapses to the ground I tears, and she has no response. She probably feels she hurt hunter so much he can't even attack her. This is probably the other side of the coin on how she feels, hurting hunter, her friend who is already hurting so much.
The last note, everyone then comes in and surrounds hunter as he cries. This is body language for defending him and supporting, it's the equivalent of side hugging him and glaring at Luz. They are defending him from the villain the dream claims Luz to be, like they defended him from Belos before. It's fitting here, that she's dressed as belos. Amity claims that "for the sake of everyone you hurt..." makes it seem like they want justice for what happened to flapjack and hunter, as well as everyone else. All Luz can do is cry and beg them not to fight her, as she feels bad enough already.
Of course, then they wake up. What I like is that Hunter is the first to smile at her, showing he doesn't blame her for what happened and she hasn't hurt him. He has faith in her to fix this. That's sweet of him to assuage her worries and shows he supports her.
Tl;dr, the dream shows her most prominent guilt was happened to flapjack and hunter and the dream builds up to them.

what would the classmates do if MC got kidnapped by a lower demon? 👀👀 - Isa
I'm sorry for being so late in replying to this particular ask😥but I had a psychology exam the other day, so I took some time to rest🙈I hope to be able to respond adequately and to write interesting enough scenarios. In the meantime-
TRIGGER WARNINGS: kidnapping, violence, cannibalism(?) in Demya's part, torture(?) in Domnra's part, demonic possession(?) in Azul's part, suicide(?) in Zuri's part, dark past(?) in Odon's part
A/N: I'm not used to writing gory stuff, so this might not be the best, still if some of you are uncomfortable with such themes, please don't read-
WHAT WOULD THE RAD CLASSMATES DO IF MC GOT KIDNAPPED BY A LESSER DEMON?
DEMYA
Tumblr media
...Let the hunt begin I guess-
Now, Demya is quite a possessive demon, so at first, at the news of MC's kidnapping, she would probably burst into tears, on the verge of having a panic attack. MC is one of the best things that has ever happened to Demya, so the idea of losing them and not having done enough to protect them causes her a lot of distress. Once the panic has passed, the rage would prevail, which would lead her to give in to her demonic instincts. Demya's senses are highly developed and her sense of smell is one of the best in Devildom, so it would take her relatively little to find MC and once she does, well...MC would hardly recognize Demya, used to seeing her usually acting all cute and smiley, however in that moment in front of the lesser demon, she would behave like a rabid animal. Not gonna lie, the fight between Demya and the demon kidnapper would end in a bloodbath and she would probably even proceed to... eat him alive, not out of hunger, but for revenge. Once Demya comes to her senses again, she would approach MC, both relieved but also scared of having traumatized her mate, considering her appearance would still be covered in blood. With MC's permission, Demya would hug them close, shivering and sobbing, thankful for getting there on time
DOMNRA (MOBIM)
Tumblr media
Domnra, as one might expect, would be overwhelmed by blind rage, even if he wouldn't know who to address such fury to more precisely: the demon who kidnapped MC? Diavolo and the seven brothers for letting this happen? Or himself, for not being there during the crime to protect his partner? Mobim would be the voice of reason in such situation, to avert Domnra's outburst of anger, thus avoiding the destruction of RAD. Being the more emphatic and thoughtful of the two, Mobim would use the bond that binds it to Domnra to make him reflect and consider the real priority of the situation, MC. United by the common goal of saving them, the demon and his curse would use some kind of black magic to discover MC's location and once Domnra finds the lesser demon responsible for the kidnapping… his patience would run out. Now, Domnra's a sort of shadow demon and he can manipulate them at will, so he would use his skills to engulf the kidnapper in a pit of darkness, blinding them and breaking limb by limb over and over again, making sure, however, to leave them alive to make them pay and learn the lesson. The task of freeing and comforting MC during the torture would be up to Mobim and once reunited, the three of them would indulge in a tight hug
AZUL
Tumblr media
Azul would have an unusual reaction to the news of MC's kidnapping, namely that of remaining quiet, with a blank expression on his face and someone might think that he doesn't care about what happened, but that's far from the truth and anyone who knows Azul well enough knows that such silence is a bad sign and only the calm before the storm...after all..who plans a murder out loud? Anyway, Azul has many contacts, not only with other lesser demons, but also with other creatures such as the little Ds, so it's likely that he would find MC's location through those. Once face to face with the kidnapper… the situation would take a turn for the worse. Not even MC in this case would be able to calm down Azul, not when his eyes, freckles and tattoos are a pitch black, that's a point of no return and it means that he has briefly lost his mind, moreover it isn't a form that he uses often, considering the last time he did was shortly after the Celestial War. Now, it might not seem, seen his almost angelic appearance, but Azul is still a demon and a rather sadistic one, so with his powers, he would proceed to take full control of the kidnapper's soul to crush it and deteriorate it to the point of tearing it apart, thus putting an end to their suffering. With the threat eliminated, his colors would turn a slightly duller purple, indicating fear, anxiety, and he would approach his lovely star, making sure they aren't injured and loudly expressing his relief at having found them safe and sound . Azul doesn't show it, but he would be quite shaken by the experience
ZURI
Tumblr media
Zuri would be quite tense at the news of MC's kidnapping, but not too surprised, having foreseen the possibility of such an eventuality. After all there are demons in Devildom who would do anything to get to her, Diavolo or the seven brothers, to make them suffer or at least to collect a ransom, but the lesser demon in case hasn't counted well, because although Zuri hates similar inconveniences, she would personally act to put an end to this affront, showing how she has lost her old title of purest angel of the Celestial Realm. To find MC, Zuri would investigate the place of the abduction and track down a trail of residual magic left by the demon kidnapper in question, enough for her to use it to sense where their location is. First of all, once arrived at the place where MC is held hostage, Zuri would observe their conditions, judging whether or not it is the case to heal them with her own magic, only then she would bring her attention to the kidnapper, who would quickly enough be pinned to the ground by Zuri, with a heel pressed against their throat, enough to make it hard to breath...such a cowardly action must be punished after all and she would have no problem putting the lesser demon in their place, in the dirt where they belong, with how patethic they are. Zuri would hold their face with one hand, ignoring her claws slitting their cheeks with red marks and making sure they stare right in her eyes, before ordering with her powers to go and turn themselves in and not be seen again, inside the dungeons of the demon lord's castle, a death sentence basically. Once the rescue is over, Zuri would bring her beloved into an embrace with a shaking sigh, while making them promise to be more careful and to bring protection next time, if not from her, at least from the seven brothers
ODON
Tumblr media
It's basically impossible for this to happen-
Normally, one or more eye-like creatures guard MC, even without their knowledge, because they care about their safety and do not want anything to happen to the human. Moreover they usually float around many areas in Devildom too, so if an abduction were to happen, they'd be the first to know and obviously they would step in, making the lesser demon run away, but for the sake of the scenario, let's pretend they weren't present that day. In that case, Odon would be surprised that someone was brave enough to kidnap MC, considering the reputation that precedes them for centuries and had it been other times, when Odon was younger, the situation might as well have ended in genocide… but Odon has changed, they've matured and they aren't what they used to be, however…some habits die hard, so…they'd make sure to act on them. Finding MC would be quite simple, the eye-like creatures would have no problem discovering their location, the only difference with the other RAD classmates would be that Odon wouldn't confront MC right away, in fact they would probably even be unaware of Odon's arrival at first, only noticing the lesser demon going outside to check out of where MC is being held captive, having sensed something off going on. MC'd hear a little commotion and then a bloodcurdling scream, before a grave silence falls, enough to cause shivers, as if the temperature dropped drastically. Eventually Odon would show themselves to their dear friend MC, freeing them and smiling softly, giving them their green wool poncho as a blanket, asking if they are all right. Odon's presence would sooth and distract MC, however what happened to the demon kidnapper, since there is no trace of them left, as if they never existed, is unknown
