What I love about Sherlock & Co. is that they aren't afraid to write close, healthy friendships. Many shows/books/etc. focus on the romantic aspect of every relationship, make characters pining for each other just to get people excited and thus - make a show more popular. I hate this. I hate that society puts romantic relationships on a pedestal and views them as something better than a deep platonic bond between friends. That's why I'm so grateful that the people working on Sherlock & Co. aren't afraid to do that, to play with character dynamics, and also to say a subtle "fuck you" to toxic masculinity.

Chaos Monday I guess: idk why everyone says that sirius is heavily sexualized when both Canon and fanon have him the least sexual person out there. Just going from fanon: Remus is the one who's actually getting sexualized. Even those who call bin a damp cardboard box make him everyone's sexual awakening and have him have a broad history of sexual encounters with other people. Sirius just doesn't. Honestly I just want my baby to get some action, but at every instance that mentions him as sexy or beautiful he gets pitched against Remus and the entire fandom prefers Remus and has him as everyone's actual sexual awakening or queer awakening, and the sexiest person out there.

Going so far that even fics that mention Sirius as exceptionally beautiful, don't give him people actually interested in him, while Remus has at least one other person who wants to get with him. And even if that's just a plot point to get Sirius jealous, it makes all the claims about Sirius's actual attractiveness void

I mean, I'm not interested in smut in general anyway, but yeah, this recent trend in fandom where Remus is the "Casanova of Gryffindor Tower" (🤮) is just baffling to me. That man is the farthest thing from a sex god lmao. There's no way he'd be anyone's sexual awakening and no way he'd sleep with everyone in the school. That's an OC that you just made up. 😂

ladrien is cool in its fuckedupness because it's so comfortably distant. they're both in their fake personas, they know the other is in their fake persona, and they're entirely willing to and enthusiastic about keeping up the charade. every interaction feels scripted and they both love this about it. there's never any danger in it because they're never required to be vulnerable whatsoever. they never have to be honest, they never have to be genuine, and they never expect the other to be genuine, and there's probably some twisted sort of comfort in knowing that the other person is never expecting you to take off their mask. that you can just lie and keep lying and it's fine

marichat is cool in its fuckedupness because it's so uncomfortably close. they both know each other so well but are unable to admit why, so they're just overly-friendly and don't have boundaries where they arguably should. there is no pretense to be civil or respectable so marichat comes with the grossest jokes and awkwardest silences and flippant displays of bad behavior. chat has no idea what proper boundaries should look like when someone isn't Using A Mask, and marinette is in no position to draw her foot in the sand* because being authoritative is for ladybug!!! so they're violating each others boundaries and making each other uncomfortable CONSTANTLY!!!
