Airell doesn't refer to himself as a sylvari nor mordrem. He always corrects people who call him that. "Not a sylvari", "not a mordrem", etc. In my writing I avoid using these terms either until Airell's identity as a dragon scion/dragon is fully established to the characters around him and the reader.

Ooh, interesting interesting!! That's very fair, and I love how you handle it in writing too. I imagine he has to make that correction pretty often as well, which has gotta be a little unpleasant for him. Hope he hasn't run into too many people who are insistent even after he corrects them.

Team Campfire - Fig (cyndaquil, she/any) + Chive (chikorita, she/her)

fig: not much of a talker, it's hard to get a read on her. her shyness gets read as being cool and mysterious, which she's fine with. content with her pokemon form, but takes a long time to get comfortable in it. has accidentally set more than a few things on fire

chive: much more outgoing than her partner, she does most of the talking for the team. very passionate about food and cooking, she hopes to open a cafe one day. always experimenting with random nuts and berries, with a little help from fig's flames

Team Obsidian - Mistral (totodile, she/they) + Cinder (vulpix, she/they)

mistral: seemingly has absolutely no sense of danger of self preservation, she's reckless and hardly ever thinks things through. scares the shit out of cinder on a daily basis by doing something stupid. a bit of a self-sacrificial idiot, they get it from grovyle

cinder: anxiety incarnate. absolute wet cat of a fox. she's wanted to be an explorer her whole life, but getting badly injured in a dungeon scared her away from it for a long time. much more calm and confident nowadays, getting dragged into dangerous situations by a certain gator forced her to get over a lot of her fears

Team Hydra - Ceru (oshawott, she/xe) + Olivine (axew, he/they)

ceru: the funny one. you may know her from my critically acclaimed shitposts. xe's the oshknwott that works at subway. didn't have a whole lot going for xem as a human, she's much happier with her life as a pokemon

olivine: ollie to his friends. absolute guy. kind to a fault. he loves to feel useful and help other pokemon, to the point they forgets to look after themself. loves his friends and will fight anyone who is mean to them

The Rapids- Mistral (totodile, she/they) + Basil (riolu, they/them)

mistral: yeah the same guy from team obsidian. don't ask me how that works in lore, i don't know. this version is a bit younger

basil: let's hear it for kids with Problems!!!! they're around 12 years old, with all the accompanying issues that come with being around 12 years old. they tend to come off as overly enthusiastic or annoying, they really struggled to make friends until mist came along. they put on a brave face, but they've got hella insecurities

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog is the hero of Mobius, and has been for around thirty years now! Everyone knows xem—he’s fast, he’s confident, and exe loves chili dogs. Xe was always there to take down Dr. Eggman’s newest scheme, and now that Sage is in power and more of a threat than Eggman ever was, he’s putting his heart and soul into beating her, too. Granted, over the years, a lot of civilians have built up a grudge towards exe for letting Eggman off the hook for all those years, so he can’t be quite as openly heroic as xe used to be. But Sonic is set in exes ways; it’ll take more than some nasty shouts and a few warrants to make xem change. He’s always willing to give someone another chance, even if the first one hundred chances failed.

It might seem strange to people that THE Sonic the Hedgehog, who’s known for never staying in one place for more than a moment, decided to settle down with a husband and kids. But if you ask him, xe’d say xe’s more free than ever. Yes, he’s technically a “stay-at-home dad” who does all the cooking and cleaning (exe’s very good at it, too—RealShadowFan01 never stood a chance), but he spends fairly little of xir time actually at home. He’s always out and about, running around, checking in on exes family and friends, or napping the day away in a tree or hammock somewhere. Having an actual home just means xe has somewhere to return to at the end of the day—and of course, he’s always back in time to make dinner for his family.

Much to his chagrin, he is unfortunately reaching the age where exe can’t be quite so hard on exes body as xe used to be. He’ll still run as fast as xe can with xir knee brace on, but he has to avoid getting injured quite so often, exe needs to eat fewer chili dogs and more vegetables, and he needs to wear earplugs if exe knows exe’ll be close to an explosion—his tinnitus is bad enough as it is! If it weren’t for xir sleep schedule and skin care routine (you can thank Shadow for that one), Sonic would have caused his doctor to quit from having to deal with exes lifestyle. But as long as xe makes sure to take his medication on time, he’ll be okay.

Sonic is also selectively mute. It doesn’t flare up as much nowadays as it did when exe was a child, but occasionally, he’ll fall silent and end up using sign language to communicate instead.

Today's (12/20/2024) Episode: The Struggle

Skye’s improved mood didn’t last long. As soon as xe got home, xe heard xir parent’s arguing in the living room.

“Luigi, you need to calm down, go back over there, and apologize” Noemi was saying “I’m sure Isra has a good reason for not telling us exactly what Elyse said happened last night.”

“There’s NO good reason to hide what she knows from us!” Luigi raged “HER kid isn’t the one limping around, wearing a cast, and facing his second surgery in as many weeks! I’m not apologizing for ANYTHING.”

“Even if it loses you one, maybe two, of your oldest and dearest friends?” Noemi replied, her voice taking on an air of affected calm, as if she was trying to soothe a skittish wild animal.

“If Isra isn’t willing to be open with us about something this important, then maybe she was never really that good of a friend anyway!” Luigi retorted, storming into the hallway to find Skye sitting on the ottoman just outside his bedroom door.

“Oh, hey kiddo” he said, his glare quickly morphing into a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “I was just about to start dinner. You want to give me a hand? You don’t have to, but I know how much you love it and if you throw something in the pressure cooker you can take a load off and start your homework while it cooks.”

“Sure dad” xe replied, turning and following xir father to the kitchen. Now my parents and Elyse’s are fighting!? Skye thought None of this would be happening if I hadn’t come out. Maybe I don’t need to tell anyone or use new pronouns, maybe just knowing the truth in my heart is enough.

“…well, my notes are a mess and Mr. Haas assigned us this solar system diorama project, I don’t know how I’m going to finish it on my own now” Skye sighed “but I promise I won’t let my grades slip!”

“I believe in you. Now, how did taking pictures of the chess meet go?” Noemi asked xem. “Did Gretchen help you with your camera?”

“Yeah, she was really nice about it” Skye smiled at the memory “and Peter is letting me share his locker, its closer to classes and lunch.”

“That’s great” Noemi said, “if you’re done eating why don’t we setup that project of yours and I’ll give you a hand – how’s that sound?” The joy on xir Mom’s face when she heard about xir friends helping xem out at school made Skye feel great, until xe noticed xir Dad staring darkly at his empty plate.

“Umm, Dad?” Luigi glanced up, called back to the conversation. “Please don’t be mad at Aunt Isra. I don’t want you guys fighting just because my date with Elyse went badly. Its not her fault I fell, really. I was running, that’s why I had the attack. It was stupid.” Skye hung xir head “I’m sorry.”

Luigi seemed to deflate in on himself at Skye’s words “Son, you don’t have anything to be sorry for. I’m going to be honest; your mother and I suspect you’re not telling us everything, but we also respect that everyone has a right to privacy. Just remember that you can tell us anything, OK?”

“OK” Skye agreed, avoiding xir father’s eye. Easy to say. But I don’t think I could bear for them to hate me OR Elyse… I’d rather not risk it yet.

“Good” Luigi continued “Now I guess while you two are working on that project, I’ll go make that apology everyone thinks I owe my ex-girlfriend.”

By the time Skye and Noemi were finished working on xir assignment xe found xemself with yet another new problem to solve.

“You should really wash up before bed stinky butt” Noemi told xem, playfully pinching her nose. Skye rose without protest and made xir way into the bathroom but stopped when xe went to turn on the showerhead and was confronted by the thick blue wrap xe wasn’t going to be able to remove.

“Mom!” xe called out, holding out xir arm and asking, “what do I do about this?” as soon as she popped her head in.

A few minutes later Skye found xemself sitting in the tub, xir left arm covered with a taped-up garbage bag to prevent the bandage from getting wet. “How am I supposed to get clean sitting in the dirt I’m washing off!?” Skye lamented “This sucks!”

Stepping out of the bath a disheartened Skye spun into xir PJs and vented xir frustration about the hardships of the day in a sad social bunny post while xe waited for xir mom to remove the extra wrap from xir arm.

I just wish I didn’t need this stupid cast xe thought. After a day spent dealing with xir injuries xe understood how much more difficult they were going to make everything and xe wanted nothing more than to go to bed and have a good cry.

“Good night sweetheart” Noemi said as Skye made xir way to xir bedroom “I’ll see you tomorrow morning to reprise my role as your makeup artist.”

Skye forced a smile for her as xe passed: “Sounds great, have a good night, Mom.”

Before collapsing into bed Skye took one last look at social bunny and stared in shock at the flurry of well wishes their unhappy post from a few minutes before had already garnered. The tears they began to cry then weren’t the sad, frustrated ones they’d been prepared to shed. Instead, they were overcome by emotion seeing how much their friends and family cared about them.

As xe drifted off to sleep Skye felt much better knowing that as hard as things felt just then, at least xe wasn’t facing them alone.

hello friends i have Returned with more Casey art and information

this was the first sketch i made! fun fact: in order to get the colors for them, i literally took a png of a goat, raised the saturation, and used the eyedropper tool lmao

i'm actually kinda proud of this one! usually i'm kinda bad at anatomy this is a nice change of pace

NOW before we get on to the other art stuff

here's some new information:

Their gender is, and I quote: "Gender? I hardly know her!" (Reminder: Pronouns are they/she/xey)

I mentioned in the previous post that they "come off as arrogant", and I thought I should elaborate on that! They aren't a bad person. Like, it's clear that they genuinely care about those around them. HOWEVER. Without revealing TOO much, they are VERY conscious about how others see them. They want to seem "cool" and "tough". That's where the faux-arrogance comes from. Hope that makes sense, because that's all you're getting about that for now!

Please, do not let her near an oven. Do not let xem cook.

Xey're not a big fan of authority! (Well, to an extent. In a way, they are an authority. I think.) To be more specific, if they're told not to do something, they're gonna need a good reason.

She's not formally acquainted with DogDay and the gang. They've heard of them through the universal medium known as Water Cooler Talk™, but that's about it.

Do you have any plans for Shaded Moss, since Gray Wing is dying in his place? (The specifics of that in my brain was Gray Wing shoving him out of the way of the carriage)

My own thoughts were something along the lines of him having been second-in-command to Gray Wing, but after xir death, Clear Sky starts undermining them, 'suggesting' to people that hey, maybe he *set that up* like, isn't it convenient? That Gray Wing died? Leaving Shaded Moss in charge? Wow, funny like that, huh? And even if most of the group dismisses it as bullshit, it's still "What kinda moron almost gets run over by a carriage and has to be pushed out of the way? Should we really be following him?" Eventually, Clear Sky takes the people who listen to him and leaves, and Tall Shadow kinda forces him to step down, and Shaded Moss kinda lives on the fringes of the group until after Bumble gets driven out. He kinda serves as a surrogate father to Thunder (because I kinda want to keep adoption a thing) and teaches him how to pass better as a tom (because I love older transmascs helping guide their juniors, I wish I had had someone older who knew a little more helping me with that shit as a kid).

I imagine he dies in the First Battle, either just before the "Tell the stars you won" line, or just after, knocking Clear Sky off of Bright Storm and getting killed for it just before Starclan intervenes.

GREAT IDEA let's take it!

(Note though: Shaded Moss -> Shaded Flower, because they now have a naming system that includes a familial last name. Shaded Flower and Rainswept Flower are father and daughter like canon.)

It'll be good for showing how "connected" tribe culture is, to have Thunder Storm have bonds with a lot of the cats he will eventually come into conflict with. Thunder Storm having a surrogate dad figure in the disgraced leader works nicely. Here's how I'll approach it though, taking your suggestions and making sure it works with what's established;

Gray Wing was the leader, Shaded Flower was second in command. He was a logistics sort of guy.

They had never seen a horse before. The group charged in front of it while crossing, spooking it.

Something I found interesting in Sun Trail is that Clear Sky was commanding them across the road that gets Canon!Shade killed on. I think I want to keep that, having Clear Sky be the one who shouted for them all to charge.

Shaded Flower's response to the large animal rearing up was to hiss and freeze

And of course, Gray Wing runs back to save him, getting kicked and killed.

While burying xem, Shade was catching flak. He panicked and his response was to freeze. Clear Sky never takes responsibility for his own actions, and what kind of guy freezes in front of a deer so huge??

He didn't really "step down" so much as Tall Shadow and Clear Sky just naturally started becoming the new leaders. He was pretty ashamed that he got Gray Wing killed.

Embarrassingly, Rainswept Flower ended up having to be his defender a lot of the time. He didn't want her reputation to suffer as a result of his cowardice, but... ugh here they are.

When Jagged Peak broke his leg, Shaded Flower didn't speak up, doubting his own judgement.

But when Bright Storm comes back with her three-legged newborn, he is IMMEDIATELY on Tall Shadow's side in the split. Though his reputation took a big hit, him being on her side IS still helpful.

He probably teaches Thunder Storm how to cook along with helping his transition, since this is going to be an important skill he displays later when he befriends River's Ripple. Rainswept Flower is like a young 19-year-old at this point, making her own life, and Shaded Flower has a sort of loneliness about him.

He probably looks out for Bright Storm, too, since they both had a pretty traumatic experience with Clear Sky treating them like ass. Brings her food and such, makes small talk, watches her kid when she needs a break.

Shaded Flower is, however, probably not a member of early ThunderClan. Or at the very least, he's kind of conflicted about it.

Rainswept Flower is loyal to Tall Shadow, and will remain ShadowClan for her whole life. He really doesn't want to leave her behind

(She even eventually has kittens with Sun Shadow, but that's not super relevant.)

Though... I may have him be part of Bright Storm's Reinforcements, and note how much he's torn between supporting the boy who's practically an adopted son, and his daughter back in Tall Shadow's Clan. He can love them both equally and be torn up over it.

Whatever happens, he will be dying in the place where Rainswept Flower dies in canon. His death in Clear Sky's jaws, "I'm not greedy, just strong!" enrages Bright Storm, who bumrushes him.

She delivers the Star Line, Clear Sky rejects it, and Thunder Storm rushes in to end his battle with Clear Sky once and for all before StarClan halts it.

Orion - His horse /sill /ns, real answer, probably just how kind he is. probably. Sweeter than cherry pie he is! /hs seriously though bro has a stranger stumble into his yard and he's just like 'yeah, you can stay here if you help me do some chores' and he would do this for anybody as long as he thought they weren't bad intentioned (he thinks nobody is truly bad though. so anybody. this has gotten him into quite a bit of trouble multiple times, actually.)

Aster - They're a nerd. Need I say more /sill but no they would so accidentally spend like. hours at their desk researching and learning stuff/doing homework that they don't even notice that they're late to the party Clem invited them to (maybe they do but they didn't want to go so it's okay they're already late anyways) and so Clem just shows up to their house and forces them to actually drink water. And have a meal. And then they just chill there and not at a party they both would not enjoy! (SORGYYYYYYY ESSENTIALLY MADE A SHORT STORY OUGJ I SHOULD WRITE THIS ACTUALLY)

Clementine - OUGHH Clem is just awesome and badass she has her motorcycle and xe fucks up them streets (not really xe just speeds from time to time. mostly when Aster is riding with them she likes to scare them /lh)

Nova - They would have AMAZING fashion. Every outfit is like. Magazine worthy or something idk where do cool outfits get shown. Unfortunately they get covered up by the apron Overflow (the coffee shop xe works at) makes xem wear </3

Opal - She'd know martial arts because her dad made them take classes when they was younger for self defense and they just really enjoyed it, continued doing it through the years and now she's in the universities club for martial arts!!! Too bad it doesn't help her when they needed it!

She makes offerings to the stove god, both at an actual shrine and by just giving Guoba snacks.

She hates wearing makeup, but often helps Xinyan and Yun Jin do theirs before performances.

Xiangling caters Xinyan and Yun Jin's concerts.

She adventures with Xingqiu and Chongyun. She also brings a picnic basket along in case they get hungry.

Baizhu has multiple sclerosis. He is completely blind in the right eye and wears a brace on his left hand. They often need a cane to help them stabilize themself.

The medicine that Baizhu takes makes his hands incredibly shaky.

Baizhu sometimes becomes nonverbal and Changsheng will help communicate for xem.

Baizhu braids Qiqi’s hair every morning so she can remember what he looks like. 

Baizhu initially took in Qiqi in order to pursue his goals of immortality, but eventually became incredibly attached to her and ended up adopting her. Although Qiqi technically doesn’t need to sleep, he renovated an old guest room in his house to be her bedroom. He took her to the store and let her pick out random things she likes to decorate her room with. She forgets about these things a lot, and gets excited when she sees them (which makes Baizhu super duper happy). 

Half of Changsheng’s enclosure is decorated to look like a tiny human bedroom and the other half is a normal snake enclosure. The cage is huge, so it’s more like two different enclosures. Before Baizhu started taking xyr medicine, xe decorated it with tiny furniture xe bought from Changshun.

Baizhu is an amazing chef. Al makes all of aloes meals aloeself, it’s very therapeutic for al. They have a very restricted diet, so it’s not like they can trust other chefs 100%. It’s just the safest way for al to get the best food.

He also prepares meals for Changsheng (and Qiqi, when she feels like eating).

Although Baizhu isn't in a relationship, Gui has a crush on him.

Baizhu occasionally flirts with Zhongli, but never tries to actually ask him out. He knows that he's Rex Lapis, and also knows that he's gonna die young. He doesn't want him to mourn losing a lover.

Qiqi

Qiqi often calls Gui "Uncle Gui"

Whenever it sees Zhongli, it asks if he's Baizhu's husband.

She has really bad sensory issues. Because of this, Baizhu keeps things with problematic textures out of the house and the pharmacy.

I don't have many other thoughts about her, I really like her character the way it is.

Zhongli

Best Friends: Venti and Baizhu

Zhongli is the oldest Archon, so he is the most affected by erosion. This has caused Fibromyalgia. He has bouts of amnesia. His body also stiffens up at random. He gets awful headaches when he's reminded of Guizhong. He gets medication from Baizhu, but they don't always work.

They have a pet cat. It's a devon rex named Haoyu. He comforts them when they feel lonely and miss their old friends.

Zhongli has a crush on Baizhu, but doesn't know how to approach it. She's had many mortal lovers, but it always hurts when they go. Because of this, she pushes her feelings away.

Spends a lot of time in shrines, spending most of his mora on offerings to his old friends.

Xiao and Itto are pen pals after the chasm incident. Xiao doesn't want to admit it, but Itto reminds him of Bosacius. This makes him think of him as a brother.

Xiao has a soft spot for Qiqi and sees her as a little sister

He has a crush on Venti, but pushes it down. He feels like it makes him weak.

He teaches the kids in Qingce Village how to fight using a polearm. He makes sure to tell them to only use it for self defense. He's surprisingly good with kids.

He talks to the Wanderer (I named him Kunimitsu so that's what I'll be calling him) a lot. He and Kunimitsu bond over having archon parents. They're both very aggressive and train together, which some people misinterpret as them trying to kill each other.

Xiao and Kuni see each other as family. They meet in Lumberpick Village where nobody else is around and just kinda sit there in silence. It's not awkward, despite their...personalities.

Best Friend: Xingqiu

Lost his leg when he was younger. He was learning to use his vision and accidentally froze it solid, giving him frostbite all over his leg. They had to get it amputated at the hip, so his entire left leg is a prosthetic.

Because of this, he trained his body to resist the cold. It also helps with his pure yang energy.

He gets hot very easily. His clothes are extremely light, including his little hoodie. In fact, the hoodie is only there so that he doesn't get snow in his hair. It gets wet when it melts, and he hates wet hair.

In fact, wet hair is a huge sensory issue for him. He also hates things like lotion and having a wet face.

Autistic with a special interest in ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. He often rants about it to Xingqiu, who listens patiently to everything he says with a happy smile.

He seems very awkward around Shenhe, but he's not. They're just both very quiet people and prefer to just hang out in silence. If they do talk, they only say a few words.

She's scared of frogs because, when she was little, she was practicing guitar and a frog jumped out of her case and onto her. She's been freaked out ever since.

first of all. moon is OBVIOUSLY not human. xe is in fact like. SOME form of creature may or may not make xem an alien whose looks are impacted by where xe is born hence. xem LOOKING like and being NAMED moon! and also an explanation for xem glowing and having a tail.

on that topic! moon obviously has no memories of ever being outside of earth. xe just lives a rather normal life outside of that actually. so the entire 'being an odd creature left on a planet not your own' thing doesnt really shock xem. xis parents also raised xem on earth so. xe is fine in that regard. good parents and good sense of self.

okay! now where stuff actually picks up! xe is a practically ageless creature, xis species not really celebrating birthdays or anything, but xe is in xis early 30's! once again. xe looks young because. DIFFERENT SPECIES. that part is important for this next part actually, i promise. in xis early 20's, xe was in college and managed to cling onto this ONE specific friend group. lets just say. they SUCKED. due to most of the group not even liking xem. the group decided to play a silly little prank on xem!

the prank was xem getting framed for assult and having the cops called on xem. uh. yeah! xe found xis ass in jail for 5 years! in that time, xis parents fucking died too. so xe wasnt even able to say goodbye to them. and after xe was let out? xis record was almost entirely ruined. not many places would hire xem anymore so xe didnt even want to try and continue college. without anywhere to live and without money to buy a place, xe ended up just staying in the streets for a while.

but dont worry chat! xe was still allowed ONE simple form of connection to anything that brought xem hope; a library computer. so xe began to search! eventually landing on a restaurant called 'freddy fazbenders.' xe read up on all of the incidents they publicized from the locations, every rumor, every review, every little thing xe could find. xe knew the job was a risk after all of that, but xe also knew a job was a job. and boom! we end off where we are!

nigh-non existent. omen is disinterested in food and eats the bare minimum for sustenance xe can get away with. xe doesn't cook beyond "making this edible" levels, and also has far lower standards for that than any non-exo would manage. that cooking and taking time making food more palatable is so popular is kind of incomprehensible to xem

somehow even worse!! omen is very literal. xe can appreciate acting to an extent, and performing seems very complicated and cool to xem. however xyr own mannerisms are organically very blunt and sudden, and lying or any kind of deceit is very difficult for xem - let alone lying to entertain!

one day the sun will reach its timid first beams over the hills in the distance to lay its warm fingers upon my face. i will be well rested and comfortable. i will be held.

one day the steam from the running shower will fog up the bathroom mirror upon which someone had drawn a heart into a condensation not unlike this one, just a few days ago. you will see it and smile. you will be loved.

one day you will bring me tea when i'm writing, deliver it with a kiss to my forehead and tell me to take it easy.

one day i will braid your hair with such attention to detail, as much an excuse to touch you as it is an effort to make you feel good.

it's currently 4:24 am CET which means it's past midnight over in brazil, which means it's now officially valentines day for both me and my amazing boyfriend @aesrot (well, technically brazilians don't have the same valentines day we do, but that just means celebrating twice a year instead of once!)

Stupid facts bout Sasha I made up last night:

Loves children. Is very good with children. Reason why xey broke up with syndicate is that they asked xem to hurt children, so xey tried to nope out of the group. Almost got xem killed, but it was easiest decision ever made. Later xey kinda figured out that adults are sometimes just kids in bigger bodies, so xey kinda swore off xeir hurting people for pay. Mostly. Just don't bother xem.

Sometimes when street kids try to pick pocket xem, xey play reverse uno card with them and stuff their pockets with food and candy. Sometimes does that to adults too. Especially Vere.

Xeir emotional baggage manifests as xeir shadow hound pack. All the guilt and sadness and anger taking physical shape when xeir get overwhelmingly upset or angry. Ais has an urge to pet them. Kuras is trying to help xem get better control over the situation.

Told once to Mhin to let xem do the errand because xey have longer legs. That was the wrong answer.

Her mother was a servant in a far off monestary, other parent unknown.

Later she found out her mother was transforming in a monster deep under the monestary, causing occasional earthquake.

Always saw ghosts around in their daily processions, and followed them around.

Uses candle magic, by using different mix-ins with bees wax, different wicks and various etchings in the surface of it. Or sometimes just different mixes of oil and fat she uses for lamps. Its usually utilized as protection or exorcism magic.

On the other hand, she is a bad cook. Its so bland and/or overseasoned. So spicy it will exorcise all the spirits possesing you.

Today's (12/9/2024) Episode: A Night in the Hollow

“Skye, Forgotten Hollow is amazing!” Elyse exclaimed as the pair began their love day adventure in the town square. She gazed up at the giant statue of Skye’s oldest “living” relative and asked “Do you think we’ll run into any real-life vampires while we’re here? That would be so cool!”

Skye wasn’t nearly as excited as she was to be hanging out in The Hollow, with its imposing shadows and perpetual darkness, but xe knew that Noemi had been right on target that the goth obsessed girl would love the park there. “Um… I don’t know, but let’s go this way” xe said, gesturing towards a small pathway in the trees across the way “just wait until you see the spot I found for us to eat dinner!”

… and deep in the woods we should be less likely to run into any vampires… I hope! Xe thought as xe led the way to the clearing xe’d found earlier.

“… and I’ve been working on my painting too. Mom says I should try selling some of them at the Flea Market someday, but I*’*m sure no one would want to buy my silly artwork.” Elyse said as she happily munched on the heart cookies Skye had made. “These cookies though, I bet these would sell out in a minute – they’re so delicious!”

“Oh… no… do you really think so!?” xe blushed, “I love cooking; but I’m sure my stuff isn’t good enough to sell either.”

Elyse shrugged “Well then good thing neither of those things are what we want to do when we graduate, right? Now come on, this cold ground is freezing my butt right through this blanket. Let’s see if that bench over there is any better and enjoy this gorgeous night for awhile longer.”

Skye was busy putting everything back into xir inventory when xe was suddenly engulfed in Elyse’s tight embrace. Xe flushed and stiffened before melting into her arms, a wave of heat starting at xir face and spreading… down, awakening interesting new sensations inside xem.

When they finally broke apart Skye swallowed anxiously; throat suddenly dry as xe realized that it was time to tell her about xir gender identity discovery and prompose. “Elyse” xe croaked “I um, have something to tell you.”

“What is it?” she said, sitting on the nearby bench and patting the seat next to her invitingly. “You know you can tell me anything.”

Skye nodded “So… ever since our shopping trip I’ve been thinking a lot about what you said about boys… and nail polish… and perfume. Those gender norms and stereotypes don’t make any sense to me. I… I realized I don’t really identify with either gender. I looked it up and, well, I’m not a boy. I’m agender.” Xe paused to gauge her reaction, but her expression was frozen, unreadable.

Taking a breath Skye continued “I don’t want to use he/him pronouns anymore. If I use gender neutral pronouns then I won’t have gender expectations that I don’t really understand, like not wearing perfume or painting my nails, placed on me.”

“I’d like everyone to start using xe/xem instead of he/him when referring to me.” Xe stopped then, waiting anxiously to see what she would say.

Elyse could feel Skye’s eyes on her, his anxiety palpable as he waited for her response. Wait… actually “xe” was waiting for her response. She was struggling to wrap her head around everything Skye had said, struggling to look at him… plum!... xem? …and not see her boy friend looking back.

“Elyse?” Skye asked eventually: “What do… talk to me, please?” Elyse didn’t feel ready to respond but it seemed as though she didn’t have a choice.

“This… it’s a lot Skye” she finally told… xem. “I… I just don’t know. I want… but I… I like boys.” she hung her head.

Skye’s world came crashing down around xir ears as all xir worst nightmares became reality. Elyse didn’t accept xem, she didn’t like xem, the real xem, anymore. Tears stinging xir eyes xe jumped off the bench and headed towards the woods.

 “I, I have to go” xe choked out, walking quickly back towards the teleporter.

Elyse realized her mistake immediately. She’d been so stunned, wrapped up in her worries about how a relationship would work with Skye if xe wasn’t a boy when she’d only ever been attracted to boys that she’d clearly hurt xem deeply. She had to make it right.

“Skye, wait!” she called, starting to go after xem, but instead of slowing down Skye hurried on, shoulders hunched, clearly distraught.

“Please, let’s talk” she picked up her pace to catch up with xem, but Skye only moved faster, breaking into a run. Elyse knew Skye didn’t run, ever since xir asthma diagnoses running aggravated xir symptoms. Now worried for her friend's health she moved even faster, the two sims sprinting out of the clearing into the woods at top speed.

I’m back on my brain rot shit

Hermes was allowed to try and cook one time and one time only after his death. He managed to burn down the entire kitchen. The cherubim that were supposed to not let any structural damage happen got Gabriel to ban xem from cooking again.

Hypnos’ hypnosis stopped working on Hermes in the same way around the time when Jesus was born. Now, when Hermes doesn’t have the energy to force vibrations into words (through the halo around his neck), the two of them just speak through the mental link that formed.

On that train of thought: Hermes hasn’t slept in over a year, not since the two of them Fell (and even then, it’s debatable whether he did sleep or was just passed out from pain). Hypnos tried to help, but it became clear very quickly that all that happened was damaging Hermes’ sanity by replaying their Fall.

If/when Hermes finds out that Adam is in Hell, xe’s either going to gloat so fucking hard, or use what Adam said against him, or a secret third option.
