i'm off to bed but i have two days mostly off so here's a STARTER CALL finally. and over here is a PLOT CALL if you prefer that!

finally getting back into the swing of things. i've got 3 replies in drafts that I will get to tomorrow. in the meantime, like for a starter based off of the season premiere tonight!

oh, but imagining the potential for warmth and also perhaps some humor in the scenario that misao decides she wants to try to cook something for someone she loves while they're over is currently making my heart happy. like i'm not going to lie — misao has honestly not cooked a day in her life since she just simply never had the need to, being a jorōgumo and all, but she would want to at least try to show she cares for them by attempting to cook their favorite dish or something whenever they're over at her home. and this would still apply to her even if she ended up completely failing at it at first because one of misao's love languages is acts of service. thus, of course she would want to provide them with something as integral as food. but GAHHH, picturing it from misao's loved ones perspective is also equally as sweet to me, because them guiding her on what to do while reassuring her that it's okay? and them eventually just deciding to cook together because misao may or may not get overwhelmed by the fact that she has such little knowledge about what to do because she wants everything to be perfect is... idk. it can be either incredibly romantic, or make for a very wholesome platonic moment between her and another character, which i LOVE

Alright, I have to run to a birthday dinner, but like this post if you want a short starter from John when I get home… I need to think on whether or not he NEEDS his own blog, but since so many folks seem interested, we’ll at least get the ball rolling!

The sound of the blades whirring overhead, muffled as they were, was a death march. It heralded what she could only imagine was the end of all she knew and the start of something else. Something new and horrible and unending. Their voices sounded like trumpets, commanding and fearless as they rode upon metal steeds. Beams of light had seared into unholy eyes, rendering her blind until they deemed her worthy of sight, and what a sight it had been.

Gemina stared down out the window of the helicopter, her hands bound inside a steel mash bag that was tied off at her wrists. They'd even gone through the effort of muffling her, ensuring that she couldn't bite anyone who put their hands too close. How far she'd fallen from greatness; a wolf no more, but a lamb sent to slaughter.

At least the land below was beautiful, she was thankful for that. It reminded her of her hidden home back east, nestled into the Appalachian mountains. A deep regret flooded her body as she stared down at pillars of smoke rising from the town below; from up above it seemed so peaceful. So safe. Gemina closed her eyes, tears welling up in them and slipping down to dampen the muzzle clasped tightly around her mouth, and for the first time in decades, she said a silent prayer.

-Grant me your mercy, be you one god or many. For my sins are weighed and my karma balanced; I am no more evil than a bear protecting what is hers. If you truly are a being of forgiveness and light, deliver me now from those who seek to inflict your divine justice.-

It was a plea shouted into the dark of her mind, but it was all that was left to do. Gemina reopened her eyes to look at the valley once more, but it was then that everything shook. A massive heat filled the helicopter as it jostled to the side, flashing lights went off all around them as men shouted at each other, and they were falling. Falling down, down, down.

And then nothing.

When she reopened her eyes she was lying in the snow. Shadows danced at the edges of her vision as she stared ahead, seeing moving feet shifting through ripped steel and broken bodies. There was shouting; she recognized at least two of the voices; the agents that had finally managed to capture her were on their knees surrounded by men with guns. A bloodied, weak smile cracked across her lips as she realized her prayer had been answered.

Searing hot pain spread through her limbs as she tried to get up. When she did she noticed someone coming her way, but everything grew hazy once more. Just as they reached for her she fell back into a sticky, agonizing darkness with their voice -- unable to understand what they said -- echoing in her mind.

When she woke up once more she was somewhere entirely unfamiliar. "Where-.. Am I?" Lights hung above her which did nothing to help the headache, but at least she had the strength to slowly sit herself up. Whatever wounds she'd gotten were bandaged, the blood in her mouth had been cleaned, and -- her chest seized. Gemina looked down upon her bandaged hands to see her true skin peeking out from the dressings. Confusion compounded in her dazed state, but it was met with hope; they'd tended to her, hadn't they?

based on his twitter interactions today, i have developed a new fear in regards of kips aew booking. the don callis family

its more in the obvious connection with ospreay tbh, but considering the liked tweets from callis and him praising kyle and saying he likes him, and ospraeys connection with them its just. mmmmmm

im hoping tho that this just means when ospreay eventually gets enough of callis' shit he'll break apart and free kyle as well to form whatever branch of united empire aew is going to have (cause lets face it, they already have a bullet club, they might as well adopt a united empire as well) and thats the cue for kip to jump on board. which is a thing ive been wanting for months now but alas. when do i ever get anything nice i want lmao
